Short chapter but there isn't much to add since this only leads to another story.

Tournament of Space and Time

In a divine looking palace one can see a large screen above.

On it was an Imperfect Cell killing Trunks with his tail snapping his neck.

Super Android 13 was seen firing an S.S. Deadly Bomber at three opponents.

An image of Trunks, Lapis, and Lazuli can be seen firing a combined energy blast at the incoming orb.

It is pushed back destroying the merged Android, it became the first time Trunks had worked together with the Androids.

Next came an image of Broly battling a Super Saiyan 2 Trunks and him being destroyed by an exploding sun once he left.

Then one came of Daburack killing Trunks.

Lazuli is forced to fuse with Zangya to create Zazuli to finally put the other merged warrior down.

Next came Tufflie clones of the old Z-fighters fighting the Androids.

And a powerful clone of the prodigy Gohan.

16 managed to overpower the parasite by overusing his power core.

Leading to Trunks, Lapis and Lazuli to land the finishing blow.

Next came the past versions of Lapis and Lazuli better known as 17 and 18 now powered up to Super 17 and 18.

They are seen overpowering Trunks, Lapis and Lazuli.

But then Zangya arrived with the Supreme Kai with two pairs of potato earrings.

Shorz and Joyaku use the Fusion Dance to defeat a resurrected(again) Android 13.

Later on would be a powerful version of Cell would arrive one that would have been destroyed in another timeline by Trunks.

Cell would over power Super Lapis and Lazuli at once, but after the use of Kaioken would weaken him, Zangya with a new technique would weaken him drastically, and Iolite the Super Saiyan 3 daughter of Trunks and Lazuli would reduce the Android to a single Cell.

Leading to a Zenkai to increase Beyond Cell's power even further.

And Trunks had turned into a golden Oozaru only for it to shrink and create a new form.

He now had a new Super Saiyan 4, clad in purple fur, with a furry tail and long spikey purple hair.

Thus lead to a final battle.

Trunks who had been killed by his version of Cell, and Cell who had been killed by Trunks.

A redemption match for both.

The clip ends with Trunks firing his Blazing Buster Wave at Cell who tried to use his Kaioken to end Trunks.

"Ooh" A childish voice said. "This is like timeline 8 but way different."

"Yes way different." Another said in an excited tone.

"Very well, shall we invite them?" An elegant voice said with a smile.

"Yes!" Both children yelled. "Timeline 9 should be recruited!"

"Very well, I will send for them."

The screen shows these Androids, Trunks and three children together.

It had been months since the final battle against Beyond Cell.

Shorz and Joyaku were playing hide and seek with Android 16, who knew where they were but turned off his sensors to make the game fair.

Iolite was standing with her Aunt Zangya.

"I found this one outfit I know you'll love, wear it and the boys'll go crazy for you."

"Auntie" Iolite said embarrassed." I just want to try something new, and do you want my dad to hear you?"

"Your 18 now dear, it might be time for you to think of a future husband." She pointed out.

"Mmm" Iolite looked away embarrassed by her Aunt's antics.

Lapis, Lazuli and Trunks were together talking.

"So Trunks, your mother's a few months away from helping us reach our Super Forms without relying on Hell Fighters, ready to lose your spot at the top?" He asked with a grin.

"Not without a fight." Trunks responded, his Saiyan side taking over. "I just cant wait to have competition."

The two laughed looking forward to their future fight.

"Ugh, men." Lazuli responded rolling her eyes. "Can you two just not get along like normal in laws?" She asked.

Trunks chuckled at his wife's response.

"That mean you don't want us getting along Lazuli?" Bulma asked walking to them drinking some wine.

"No thanks." Lazuli responded. "I don't want to see being my monster in law."

"Smart" Bulma said smiling. "Oh, just look." She gestured to the get together they were having. "The kids are having fun, we get to relax, I think now we're done with all the nonsense don't you think?"

Trunks frowned hearing that. "You really shouldn't say that."

"Come on why?"

"We always think that and then some threat to the universe arrives." Lazuli pointed out.

Lapis chuckled hearing their superstition. "Come on you don't really believe that do you?"

Trunks and Lazuli were going to respond but then just before they spoke they heard a voice.

"Hello everyone, can you hear me?"

A telepathic voice spoke in their minds.

None they recognized.

Trunks's eyes widened, he looked to the others, the children stopped playing, Iolite and Zangya looked at everyone else.

They all heard it.

Lazuli looked at Bulma and rose a hand as if to say she told her so.

All Z-fighters were ready to fight, 16 stood protective over Shorz and Joyaku.

'Oh my apologies I am no threat to you all I promise.' The telepathic voice. 'I am only here to invite you to participate in a special event."

Trunks had a strange look on his face hearing that tone. "How do I know that when I don't know who you are?"

"Yes you are right." The entity responded. "My name is Whis, I am the Angel Attendant to God of Destruction Beerus."

Beerus? That name got all their attentions.

Zangya got fearful hearing that, having that being arrive on her planet long before Bojack exterminated the inhabitants.

"Beerus? Like the Supreme Kai mentioned?"

"The very one, but fear not my lord already visited your planet once and he felt there was no need to destroy it at the time." 17 and 18 were destroying the world as it was, he was over his disappointment that there was no Super Saiyan God. "Now are you interested in what I have to say?"

Trunks felt bizarre hearing this 'Whis' character speak to them, he looked to the others to know their thoughts on this.

"I really hope this isn't some sort of trick." Bulma responded. "I mean, if he does attend for Beerus the means he's with the Supreme Kai, right?"

"But they don't get along." Zangya responded.

"Perhaps we can ask Dende to contact the Supreme Kai for us." Android 16 suggested.

Trunks was about to agree to that.

"There is no need."

They turned and saw Supreme Kai, Kibitz and Elder Kai standing.

"We can assure you this is no trap, Whis the Angel of Universe 7 would like us to participate in an event in order to minimize the amount of timelines."

Trunks was relieved to hear that until he mentioned minimizing.

"Forgive me that was an awful way to phrase it." Supreme Kai corrected himself. "What we mean is they plan to merge our timelines habitable worlds with others that lack them, no one will be harmed in this tournament."

"A tournament?" Iolite asked interested.

"Yes, we are withholding a tournament that will not only decide where to move your people, your lives will not be in danger, killing is not allowed and that is not all, whoever wins will receive a chance to make a wish on the Super Dragon Balls."

Hearing all this they all got confused hearing that.

"Super Dragon Balls?" Trunks asked confused.

"Right, you haven't seen them, these dragon balls are a different set than the ones on Earth or Namek, these dragon balls can grant ANY wish you desire no restrictions whatsoever."

Hearing that sounded amazing, Dragon Balls that have no limits at all, could their be a set that powerful. No wonder their called Super.

Everyone was happy with their lives as they are. Trunks did think of maybe resurrecting the long dead Z-fighters, but given how he visited them in otherworldly, they may have accepted their afterlife, Gohan, his father, everyone had said they enjoy their time in otherworldly and given how long it's been.

"Wait a tournament, between all timelines?" Iolite asked with a smile. "Um, Whis, would there be other timelines like one where my grandfather and Goku are alive?"

That made Trunks a bit excited he abandoned time travel after finding out what happened to the Cell to prevent another monster like that from using it again. So he never got to see what happened to that timeline.

"Yes, among the timelines there is a timeline where Goku and Vegeta are alive, another similar to your own where Trunks would have killed the monster you called Cell."

The half Saiyan's eyes widened hearing that, of course that timeline's version of Trunks would have continued to grow. Though he's sure what happened to Lapis and Lazuli of that timeline. No, what happened to 17 and 18, he wondered just how similar or different is his timeline to his own.

"Wow" Iolite smirked and turned to her father. "Dad this sounds fun, can you let me enter?"

"We want to as well." Joyaku said with Shorz nodding beside him.

Lapis frowned and turned to Bulma. "You sure you can't give us our Super forms yet?"

"Sorry Lapis" Bulma apologized. "I need a few months before it's ready so I won't have time to do it."

"Oh well, I guess we'll have to rely on Kaioken." Lapis shrugged. "Still I'm with Iolite on this, it sounds fun."

Trunks heard the thoughts of his friends and family and with the Supreme Kai telling them the legitimacy of the voice in their head he had no reason not to agree, besides the kids could use some experience with this tournament.

"Alright, Whis, we all would like to attend."

"Wonderful then you will only need a few fighters alongside you to complete your team."

"What?" Trunks asked confused.

"I will introduce you to your new teammates in a short time, do not worry I am sure you will not be disappointed."

With that Whis cut off communication leaving the Z-fighters to their thoughts.

"I guess this is is better than what we usually get." Bulma said. "Hey I wonder if I'll meet another version of me to, I bet one of them there might help me get you those upgrades you wanted."

"What about the Super Dragon Balls?" Shorz asked. "Are we gonna try to get it?"

Trunks can hear the excitement from his son's voice and ruffled his hair. "I think we're happy with what we've got."

Lazuli nodded as she held her husband's arm. "Still, it wouldn't hurt to see how we compare to other timelines, Iolite I know your excited."

Iolite nodded. "Yeah, I can't wait, I wanna see if I can maybe measure up to another version of you dad, or maybe of mom and who knows."

Trunks chuckled hearing the Vegeta in her. "You know I think I'm excited to, I'd like to see how that other version of progressed."

This was going to be a very interesting tournament.

But before you do as I said before that story is a sequel to Dragon Ball Aftermath by Shadowwriter01, you may be lost if you just read it without that story as a lot happens in that story, such as Demigra being a Fallen Angel and brother to the Grand Priest.

I highly recommend reading it first as one it is a great story that I reread from time to time.

But ultimately it's all up to you, if you choose to just to it for my characters then go ahead but you will be missing some context without Aftermath.

Now the next chapter will be the Epilogue of the whole story where you will see Trunks go even further in power and how other characters developed.

Dr. Gero's real mind was in one Android he didn't make a backup because he was concerned with it going rogue. Plus he only ruled his earth for a few months so he wasn't so prepared.
