All I want Ch 6

It had been a week since she saw Chuck but the memories from their weekend still lingered in more ways than one. Grabbing her bag, she packed what she figured she'd need. Carina sauntered in wearing barely anything as usual sat down on Sarah's bed. "You ready to go?" Sarah looked up. "I think so." Carina watches and continues to chat as Sarah packs. "I will say you won't get much sleep so sleep when you can. And always have your boots near by. Got caught once without my boots." Sarah zipped her bag up. "Also get in as much practice as you can. They seem to like that kind of stuff." Sarah turned as she reached the door. "And you two what do you have planned?"

"Maybe a small get together." Sarah laughed. "Small get together." Sarah didn't mind that they would have a party. Sarah loved to party but she wasn't a party girl like Carina or Zondra for that matter.

They hugged as Sarah opened the door and headed down the street.

She rounded the hill enjoying her walk when she looks up seeing Chuck. Even his name made her heart flutter. He was her Chuck. Chuck looked up but didn't move. He smiled as she sat down. He leaned in and kissed her surprising her. Then spoke. "Good morning." Sarah slid her arm into his as she took the coffee from him. "Morning, aren't you worried that someone might see us." Chuck took a sip. "I have been watching this quad for months and I think I have an idea of the traffic coming through here."

"But how did you know I would be coming down this early?"

"Because you're always early for training so, I figured that you going away you would want to be there early."

"Really?"

Chuck laughing. "No, I had no idea when you would walk by. I just hoped that I wouldn't have to drink your cup as well then, I'd have to run and find a bathroom missing you altogether." Sarah laughed then got quiet. "So how long do we have?" "Long enough."

They sat in silence as this was something they didn't have the opportunity to do especially when it was just the two of them. An hour later Chuck looked up then kissed the top of her head. "You better go."

He stood up and faced her as her back was still against the half wall they had been sitting on. He shielded her at first, not knowing why till he leaned in and kissed her, in broad day light. She placed her hand flat on his chest. He kissed her forehead. It was sweet. "Be safe."

She looked up at him. "I will." She bent down and grabbed her bag as she flung it over her shoulder. She took a step and started to walk. She looked back and he hadn't moved. He stood there till she couldn't see him anymore. She looked up once more seeing him walking towards his office. She continued walking onto her long-awaited weekend.

Sarah walks in seeing the rest of the group waiting to leave. She kept to herself and in her own way checking out the competition. She counted 19 recruits. That would be 19 recruits that she'd have to out smart, out run, out gun, out play every word, thought, or look of her competitors. She didn't know what to expect but she remembered every word Chuck had said about training and what it all entailed. This weekend was her chance to prove what she could do. Give her the confidence she knew she had but to craft her skills even better.

The bus ride there was less than enjoyable but it probably was intentional. Not to get them too comfortable. Sarah just sat back looking out the window thinking of one person.

Sarah heard her name after instructions were given by Casey and Mitchel. They were to find their room and return to start their training. It was a need-to-know basis which made a few upset not knowing what was happening. They were given the talk more like a threat if they didn't go what was set out for them. Sarah looked at them knowing that they weren't a threat if they weren't really all in 100%. That narrowed down her competition.

Training started with the talk, safety and what to expect. Sarah took notes, more mental notes. That was one skill she had developed over the last few months. Take everything and anything that was said or taught and make it your own. She kept Chuck's word close to her heart. Even if he wasn't physically there he was in her head and especially he had her heart. Which was like a warm blanket that she used as a shield.

The recruits talked amongst themselves as Sarah kept to herself keeping her head on a swivel. Trying to focus on everything so that she wouldn't forget anything or miss anything. Be ready as Carina put it. Casey and Mitchel stepped aside talking in depth. And when they stopped talking, things got busy really fast. When they told them to run, she ran. When they told them to do 20 push ups, she did 22. When they had a little break, she sat on the bench watching Casey and Mitchel go over the last run through. They kept looking her way, so she knew that they were talking about her. Sarah continued to rehydrate. In seconds of them passing by her Mitchel called out. "Walker follow me." Sarah grabbed her things and followed Mitchel. They walked over to the gun range. He turned to face her. "I would like to see for myself what you can do." Sarah felt honoured but was freaking out on the inside. Sarah looked down at the end of the target barely seeing it with her own eyes. She chose which gun she would use and grabbed a box. Mitchel made a mental note. He pointed to where he wanted her and she laid down setting up. She got into position. She had only done this type of shooting a handful of times. Not as many as with a pistol. Despite that she had the confidence. She bent her leg slightly giving her a better sight line as she rested the butt of the gun over her shoulder. She eyed her gun then looked through the scope adjusting its focus. She looked up briefly as a gust of wind came through. She realigned herself and took a deep breath. She was about to shoot when Mitchel called out. "Ready when you are. Ten shots." She knew he did that on purpose, distracting her but in seconds she was focused again. She breathed in and shot ten right after each other. Mitchel watched through binoculars counting. Sarah leaned back and rested on her knees. He had her move to the next lane. Sarah got up and walked over. "This time Walker you will shoot flipping the covers over. I will be looking at how many you can flip over with in the time frame." Sarah was scared to ask how long she had so she didn't. She switched her magazine and slid down on the ground. She lined up her gun and looked through her scope. She waited for her cue. "When you're ready Walker." Sarah flipped the safety and started shooting. She fired hitting 11. But saw that there was a space left, she wasn't sure if that area had a target or not. She took a shot just in case and sure enough there was the 12th target. She smiled inwardly and leaned back sitting on her knees. "That's all for now Walker." Sarah put her safety on and got up returning her gun. "You can head back and we will call you for your next challenge."

Sarah nodded then headed back to the dorm. She didn't feel like talking to anyone, except to Chuck. She laid down on her bed and had a little nap. When she woke, she was refreshed and headed back to the main area to wait for the next round.

Late Friday afternoon

Casey and Mitchel posted a list after supper that had a break down of the groups. They went from five groups down to three. The remaining two were sent to another part of camp on other training. The three remaining groups were divided into groups of four. Sarah did a quick count they were down to 12. Sarah went to the list this time. She scanned the list seeing who was on her team. She wasn't sure if they had the same score or how they made the groups. She eyed the list and was glad that Jasmine wasn't on her team. She had Amy, Mitchel and Chan. Group two had Justine, Fletcher, and a newbie last name Adams and Steffler. Group three were unfamiliar to her but saw them earlier on the bus. They all met in a large warehouse. "Welcome back recruits." Casey standing in front of the group. "You will be working as a team to complete this course. There will be human targets and other surprises in place. Your job this round is to get all four members out this time. You loose a member you go back in and find them. Leave no person behind. Keep your head up and your eyes open." Sarah nodded and got her gear on. The teams headed upstairs to watch a run through with the staff. Their hopes were to do exactly like the staff would execute their way through. Sarah tried to get a good spot where her team eventually followed her and stood dead center. The horn blew as they entered the far end. Their method was flawless but Sarah knew that they had done this a million times. She watched how they held their guns, tapped their six and worked as a team. She watched as they kept in communication and kept and eye on what was to come. Their targets were neutralized. They fired when they needed to and stood down when it got too much. As they approached the end, she was ready for this. Mitchel called from the floor. "Walker your team is up." Sarah headed down the stairs with the three others and got their gear on. Though they would be using paint ball pellets she wanted to be safe. She opted for a vest that fit snug and grabbed a pair of safety glasses, She was also given a helmet which she pressed down over her ponytail. She made sure she was ready.

Grabbing a few extra magazines, she slipped them into her vest. The four stood in a synchronized line and as the doors opened, they were off. Casey started his clock. Sarah took the lead making sure her team got through then tapping the last person. Mitchel fired their first shot as Sarah fired their second. They came under fire rounding the hallway. It took a lot of their ammunition that they didn't expect. Sarah crouched low assembling her team. They had one room left to go. Sarah pointing ahead of her signing three. She raised her hand high showing one person and lowered it showing two. She counted off 5-4-3-2-1 and her team plowed through hitting their targets exiting through the other side. Casey stopped his watch, writing down their time.

Meanwhile

Chuck kept on working on a timeline and didn't see his email. He grabbed his notes and headed out. Hours later he saw his text. 'Did you see the video?' Chuck looked at his phone there was no video.

'No video.' 'Then, check your email. We are pulling a drop and go. Can you come out here. Same location. It will be all set up.' Chuck texted back. 'Be there as soon as I can.'

Chuck grabbed his things and changed his clothes wearing his dark blue jeans and black turtleneck. He grabbed his jacket, keys and cell and headed out. He hadn't been on a drop and go for years. He drove to the farm. Thinking out loud. 'Either this bunch were horrible or they had the potential.' Chuck parked then was met halfway by a helicopter. He ran out and jumped in. "Agent Carmichael." "Yes." "Buckle up." Chuck sat back as they flew into the night sky.

The Farm

Sarah watched the other two groups. She saw things that they did well and things they missed. Her team probably missed a few things too. After the last group went through, they waited to hear from Casey and Mitchel. It was late before they came back and a few were caught with their eyes closed. Sarah was glad she had her little nap when she did. She continued to keep to herself and her mind on two things being there and Chuck.

Casey and Mitchel approached the three teams. Waiting for their full attention. Mitchel started to speak. "Not bad, a lot of potential and a lot more training for some. We will have another sessiontomorrow. Where we will break down the last three groups into two. Go get some rest. We will resume in the morning." Sarah headed to her bed; her body was tired. She laid down and went to sleep remembering Carina's words. 'Keep your boots on.' She kept her boots on.

Hours later finally falling asleep, the room was bombarded with the lights flipping on and off and voices yelling waking her up. All she heard was 'Recruits get dressed and meet outside.' Sarah who was already dressed ran out, redoing her ponytail. It was like four in the morning. She followed the rest to a field where there were two helicopters. Another voice, clearly Casey's calling out. "Grab a parachute and load up." Sarah grabbed a suit and put it on. She had only put this kind of suit on twice during her early training but Carina and Zondra were there to check her suit. In seconds, Sarah looked up as Casey stood in front of her checking on her suit, then moved onto another.

"Recruits, you will be flown to an unknown location. You will be drop from the helicopter every five minutes. Your job is to land safely, gather your suit and find your way to a central location. Where a cabin will be awaiting your arrival. Once all the recruits have arrived, we will return to camp. You will be provided with a compass and location. Your job is to find where to go. If anything happens you will all have a beacon. Once it's pressed stay where you are and we will come to you."

The helicopter started to take off. Sarah felt excited. She wasn't new to being on the run and finding her way to a safe location. Her dad and her had been in several situations that she had to run away from and find safety on her own. She was so ready for this. She stared out the window only seeing darkness except for a faint strip of light on her right. The doors opened bringing in a blanket of cold air. Casey yelled out the name of the first recruit. He set the timer. Then called the next recruit. They flew for another 30 minutes before Sarah's name was called. She jumped out into the darkness free falling till her signal went off. She pulled the release and flew upwards then levelled out. For that split second, she felt free. She looked ahead seeing darkness and finding a safe place to land. She got ready and landed with her feet out skidding on her bottom. She gathered her parachute and tucked it into the backpack. Slipping her backpack back on she looked around only seeing darkness and some light from the moon. She listened hearing some sounds but couldn't figure out how far they were from her or how close she was to the next recruit. Five minutes in the air would cover a lot of ground. Sarah started walking losing sight of the sunrise but figured that it was still on her right. She flipped on her head light pulling out the coordinates then grabbing her compass. She headed down the hill.

Chuck arrived and grabbed himself a cup of coffee. He had no idea who would walk through that door and who Casey made or force to do this. He walked the room nibbling on some of the food that was there. It was either too late or too early for even him.

Sarah continued to climb downhill based on where her feet were going. Slipping a few times on the damp ground didn't help preventing her from banging her shins on fallen trees. She made her way to a clearing seeing a faint light in the distance. She waited for her eyes to focus on the darkness. Turning her head to smell anything out of the ordinary and as the wind changed allowing her to get a whiff of smoke. 'Fire.' She headed towards the darkened blob seeing a cabin. Either she was that good, or they didn't hide the cabin that well. And if it wasn't the right cabin she'd asked for directions. 'Who would find out if she did ask someone.' She picked up speed reaching the door. She grabbed what she had on her which wasn't much but her multi tool would have to do. It would give her some protection. She reached for the doorknob and turned it slightly. As she opened it further her eyes saw a wonderful surprise.

Chuck heard the door creak and turned around as the door flung open and there stood, of all the people in the world to walk in now, it was his Sarah. She stepped in further making sure it was who she thought it was. Seeing no one else she ran into his arms. Their embrace led to an intense welcome kiss.

Sarah leaned back catching her breath. Trying to not pounce on him. "What are you doing here?"

"Casey asked for my help so I drove out a few hours ago." She kissed him again but he kept one eye on the door. She knew what he was doing so she held his face in her hand and continued to kiss him. He leaned on the back of the couch allowing him to be at eye level with her. "You hungry?" He walked over to the table. As she touched her lips and smiling. "We have water, vegetables, chips, you name it." He grabbed her a water and twisted the cap off and gave it to her. She drank it quite quickly not realizing that she was so thirsty. She grabbed a plate and sat down. She patted the space beside her and Chuck smiled grabbing a coffee and handful of munchies. He put down his coffee then walked over to the table grabbing the clip board. Sarah got comfortable curling her legs under her. Chuck scrolled down the list till he saw Sarah's name. He wrote down the time she arrived. "What's that for?"

Chuck looked at her. "They want to see how long it takes recruits to reach this spot. It gives them an idea of how you can survive out there and of you had to survive could you find a place in a certain period of time. Your time was impressive." Sarah smiled. It wasn't anything that I hadn't done before, except being tossed out of a helicopter. Chuck looked at her. "You and your dad?"

"Yeah, we did our share of running. So, I got pretty good at hiding and finding." Sarah put down her plate and slid her arm into his reaching for his hands. "You know we could." Chuck shifted in his seat. "Don't tempt me, Walker. I don't care to get caught with my pants down." Sarah laughed. Chuck kissed the top of her head. They were in their own world happy and content. This was new for them to be just the two of them. Together in one space at the same time.

Chuck sat up grabbing his clipboard and his cup and stood up. His gait made him cover a big chunk of ground when the door flew open. Sarah opened her eyes not hearing anything till the door opened. She looked at Chuck as he tried to act professional. "Name?"

"Mitchel."

"You're Mitchel's son."

"I am."

Chuck looked at his watch and wrote down his time. Sarah got up to say hi. "So, Walker when Did you arrive?" Sarah looked at him. "About a half hour or so." She could see Chuck smiling. In the next few minutes others walked in as Chuck jotted down their times. He looked at the list. They were waiting for two more.

Chuck dialled Casey who made arrangements for a pickup. Chuck moved to the front of the room. "Attention all. We have two more to come. Your ride home will be here shortly." As Chuck continued to talk the last two arrived. Chuck jotted down their time as they got a bite to eat.

A helicopter could be heard over head. The sun was just coming up over the tree line The recruits grabbed their gear as Chuck opened the door. He wished all of them good luck. Sarah was the last to leave. Chuck held the door ajar with Sarah facing him. She placed her hand on his chest. It was starting to be their thing. "It was good to see you." He smiled then kissed her. "You better go." Sarah kissed him back. He opened the door enough for her to walk past him. Casey walked in looking at the two of them. Then he saw the table. He grabbed a few items then walked back to the door. "So how did it go?" He passed the clipboard to him. He looked at the list. "Impressive. We will debrief later."

"Sounds good." Casey walked out ducking slightly. Chuck stared out at the chopper as it lifted up into the air. It was a little Deja vu.

They landed and were given a few hours to get some sleep. Campus was quiet for some time. Sarah couldn't sleep so she headed down to do some gun shooting. She worked on areas that she figured she needed to work on. She worked on shooting with her left hand something she figured would be a good idea. Casey walked in and watched. He knew and this confirmed that she was that diamond in the rough. And he hadn't seen another recruit like that since he taught one Charles Carmichael.

A week later

Chuck had been so busy meeting with Beckman and waiting for those who made the decisions to finally give them answers, he hadn't had the time to see Sarah. As his time was wrapped up in this nightmare. He wanted it to be over, and frankly he didn't want it to be a reality and in order to wake up from this nightmare he had to take the plunge. He also had to let Sarah know. It wasn't protocol to let people he knew on his whereabouts or his missions, but Sarah was different, she was special. He drove over to her place but found it quiet. Then he figured he'd try PJ's as the recruits could be celebrating their Farm training and the start of exams that were going to start the following Monday. He was anxious to hear about the rest of her weekend after the drop and go and maybe a few kisses. He entered the bar and scanned the room finding her dancing with Mitchel. He took a deep breath then smiled inwardly and turned on his heels. She was enjoying herself and didn't need the intrusion. Thoroughly enjoying the song and feeling the music, that when it stopped, she caught her breath she didn't see him at the door at first. Once the dance floor cleared, she saw him exiting the door. She ran after him and out the door. "'CHUCK!"

Chuck turned around. "I came by your place. I wanted to hear about Langley. But I figured that I look here and I find you…"

"What you saw is not what you think is. Well, it is, but I wasn't dancing with him. Carina was there and just walked away when you walked in. I swear." Chuck continued to walk to his car. "Chuck wait. I haven't seen you since."

"I know. So, you're going to go?"

"I have to."

"Chuck."

He slipped into his car and she followed. They looked at each other. Sitting in awkward silence. Sarah grabbed his hand. "I wasn't dancing with another guy honestly."

"Good, cause I only want you to dance with me." She continued to squeeze his hand. "I got to go."

"You just got here."

"I know but I got to go and I shouldn't say anything more." He looked at her. "But I can't go away and not tell you that I am." This was their second experience with a mission and leaving her. He hated every minute of it. "Where are you going?"

"Can't say."

"How long will you be gone?"

"Don't know."

Sarah looking worried. "Can you tell me anything?"

"No, but I had to see you before I leave."

"When do you leave?"

"Midnight." She looked at her watch. It was 8:30. She released her hold of his hand and slipped into the back then holding out her hand. Chuck opened the driver's door then slipped into the back, didn't want to struggle of getting into the back seat. Sarah helped him with his jacket then unbutton his shirt. Sarah quickly slipped out of her jeans waiting for him. She straddled his legs facing him feeling him. He wrapped his arms around her bringing her close to him. Sarah took her top off leaving her bra on. This wasn't going to be a long love making session. He kissed her chest continuing to hold her close. She braced herself sliding her palms flat against the roof of the car. It was intense and raw.

He kissed her hard and with all that he had in him. Their moment short but long overdue.

Sarah slid to the side grabbing her jeans and her top as Chuck scooted back to pulling up his jeans. He leaned back against the door taking her with him. They sat in quiet catching their breath.

"You come back to me; you hear me."

"I will."

They kissed a few more times when they heard Sarah's phone. Sarah looked at the screen. 'Where did you go?' Chuck got up and out as Sarah followed. They stood in the dark leaning against his car. She continued to keep him close. "You better go or they will be out here looking for you." He held her face in his hands and kissed her softly. "I'll see you soon."

She hung on a little longer and a little tighter. She had heard stories of these missions from other teaching staff and now from him. It was part of the job but she could tell it in his eyes that there was some uncertainty there, a whole lot of apprehension. He kissed the top of her head as she released her grip, she went to wipe away the tear. He never said anything. He just wiped it with his thumb for her and gave her one more kiss. She walked back composing herself looking back he was gone. She walked back inside with her fears and wondered if she was going to see him again.

Sarah entered the bar and sat back down. Carina noticed that she looked different. Sarah hoped that her eyes weren't puffy from crying. Carina looked at her again. "Something's different."

"No why?" Sarah trying not to be discovered.

"Maybe you had sex out in the parking lot or you lost your best friend."

Sarah had to play it cool. Carina was so right on both accounts. But typical Carina style she commented. "Well, that can't be because your best friend is standing right here and I know you're not seeing anyone." Sarah saw the waitress coming, quickly ordering another drink.

Chuck and Casey slipped into the Lockheed C-130 Hercules. After Casey was free to make arrangements to head into Rio. Chuck was able to get a location and they had to check it out, come back, assemble a team, and bring Gaez down. Chuck looked at the location knowing that it could be any one of these places. And knowing how Gaez operated he had to check them out. He just hoped he was right.

It was the second night that she couldn't sleep. She dragged herself to tactical and made sure she practice her gun training but her classes, she was just there in person, write the exam and leave. Her mind wasn't on what she needed to know for the test, it was on him and if he was safe, wherever he was. She needed to be with him, she needed him to be home, she needed him to be next to her. She slipped into his office using her new favourite skill, lock picking. She closed the door behind her and walked his office. She hadn't really looked at what he had on the shelves. She saw figurines from Star Wars and other superhero's placed randomly on the shelf. She noticed that he didn't have any other pictures on the shelf.

Chuck and Casey finished debriefing with Beckman mid air and were reminded to play by the book on this one. Her words only infuriated Chuck even more. Chuck walked away. Casey followed him and stopped him shy of the main part of the plane. "We have to do as we're told. I would like to put a bullet in that guy as much as you do, but the ramifications coming down on our asses. I don't want it and I don't want the paperwork."

Chuck looked at his friend. His confidante, his voice of reason. "Remember Chuck this is just a mission to make sure he is where they said he is."

Chuck tapped Casey's shoulder and sat down closing his eyes. Casey looked at his friend. He was injured but so was Chuck. And what he witnessed even the veteran agents he knew including himself would take a long time to get over it, and maybe he'd never get over it. But Casey admired Chuck and how he was still standing, still trucking. It was like he had hope, or hope found him.

Sarah put her books down grabbing the envelope that Chuck had given her weeks ago. She had tried to focus on memorizing what she needed to memorize off the card. As she looked at her card, she saw how weathered, bent, and folded over it looked. She looked at the numbers. 7268674642-84367. She sat at his desk and practiced on his desk phone. She eventually got into her rhythm of pressing the right numbers. She looked at the screen and saw the numbers exactly in the right order. Now she closed her eyes and did the same. She checked the screen. She didn't want to get too excited too early. She tried again. And tada she did it.

It was harder to know the numbers with her eyes close and it took a little longer as she had to line up her fingers in the right row and right spots. She didn't know what this number meant, though she had her suspicions, she had to remember that it was her lifeline, no matter how she used it. And even that, she just wondered if she would ever use it and if she did who would be the voice on the other side.

Rio

Chuck and Casey sat in a van down the road. They had just a few hours to get what they needed. The flight there and back took up most of their time. Casey set up his camera and started taking photos. Chuck counted possible marks and possible entrances and exits. It looked like a tire factory with many hallways and corridors. Chuck grabbed the bags that Casey gave him. "Just place them and nothing else." Chuck reached for the door. "Chuck!"

"Yes, just place them and get out." Chuck slipped out into the dark and ran across the street. He laid low hearing people above him. He placed a small camera on the far corner of the building just inside the mortared of the brick wall then placed another facing the other direction. He spoke into his comps. "Guards on the northwest side maybe two or three."

Casey moved the camera over and snapped a few photos. "They seem to walk about 10 feet then come back."

"Maybe a walkway?"

"Maybe."

Chuck laid low waddling over to the gate. He placed a camera inside the hinge of the gate slipping back when he heard someone coming. He checked to see if there were any cameras or alarms. Nothing would surprise him. He waited in the dark as a truck drove up. Chuck slipped in along side the truck as it drove in. He slipped in behind a crate as the doors closed. Casey watching from the van. "Chuck what are you doing!" Chuck whispered back. "I'm doing my job!"

"You're not suppose to be on there!"

"And who's going to stop me!"

Chuck tossed a tracker on the back of the truck and ran to a side door placing another one near the main door. That was as far as he could go from what Casey could see through the cameras. He slipped back and waited for the truck to exit following it back out the way he came in. He slipped across the street and into the van. Casey flipped the cameras on. They watched as each camera came on. Casey connected the cameras to his laptop and the two of them drove off. Catching their flight back home. "We could have stayed longer."

"Chuck, we don't have the means or the team, we will be back." Chuck hated to leave when he was so close. But they needed the proof, he just hoped that the cameras picked up something.

Chuck walked into his office saving some time rather than going back to his place. Beckman wanted to see them first thing. They made good time coming back but his thoughts were divided between Gaez and missing Sarah. He put his bag down seeing an angel sleeping on his couch. He set his alarm taking off his shoes settling in behind her. She woke up for a short moment, receiving a kiss then went back to sleep when she heard his voice. Chuck slid his arms through hers and held her tight.

Hours later he woke up slipping out and over the couch not to wake her. Leaving her a note, wanting to see her after he was done. He grabbed his bag and headed out.

He slipped his shoes on meeting up with Casey who a coffee in his other hand. "Thanks."

"Looks like you got some sleep."

"I did, actually." It was the best four hours of sleep he had in a long time.

Beckman greeted the two and they sat down in the conference room. Casey hooked up the feed and the three anticipating, what they would see. Casey kept the present feed running as they watched the feed from the time they left. Chuck set up facial recognition system to monitor who they saw. Then their faces were put on a mainframe board that was set up. In seconds they got a hit a several names and a face. The three were now getting an idea of what crowd Gaez was running with.

"Do you recognize any of these guys?" Beckman giving him a direct question. Chuck grabbed a seat sitting in front of the screens. "Yeah, Marco Capos." Chuck remembered him standing next to Gaez then walked off to take care of Casey.
"Capos tried to kill Casey. He was standing next to Gaez." Casey seething under his breath, 'He's mine.' Chuck looked up at him but said nothing. A few more names came up triggering that day. They were finally caught up to present time as Casey adjusted the focus on some of the cameras and seeing if they were able to get sound. Chuck made notes as they continued. Chuck jotted down seeing the same truck drive in and drive out. He circled the truck then made a note 'possible way inside.'

Beckman looked at the screen, then faced Casey and Chuck. "We will monitor this for now. Chuck, I will have you stay and watch, Major a word."

Beckman walked out and closed the door behind Casey. "Report Major."

"We told you everything."

"Yes, you did but is he ready?"

Casey looked stoic. "There was minute moment that made me wonder, and frankly I would have let him go. I just hope that he is able to maintain the right focus."

"Do you have your list?"

"I do ma'am."

"And?"

"They will do just fine, eight in total including Carmichael and myself."

"Ok we will assemble the team latertoday."

"Yes ma'am."

Chuck continued to watch the feed. Hours later he slipped out and headed back. Seeing that Sarah was gone. He saw the note. "Had to go, went for tactical see you later? I'm glad that I wasn't dreaming." Chuck read the note again grabbing some water. He was a about to sit down when his cell rang. "Meeting conference room."

Chuck took a swig then headed to the conference room.

Sarah, Carina, and Zondra along with Amy, Travis Abrahamson, Fletcher, and Mitchel stood in the conference room. They were all curious to why they were asked to be there. They weren't strangers, so that helped but it made it unclear why now why them.

Chuck rounded the corner. Casey stopped him. "We are good to go and Beckman signed off on a new team."

"A new team? We haven't picked out a team yet."

Chuck looked at Casey. "What? Well, we haven't."

"I gave her a list of possible recruits."

"You did what?"

"She was tired of waiting for you to move on this and what we got from our last trip, she was finally convinced that we had enough to go on, to bring in a team."

"Who may I ask is on this team?" Casey turned to face the window. "Only the best from this years recruits."

Chuck looked into the conference room. Beckman approached them as Chuck yelled "Hell no!"

The room heard the voice but it was only Sarah who recognized the voice.

"Agent Carmichael! Control yourself." Beckman demanded. Charles didn't apologize. Casey looked at him. "Chuck they're the best and you should know that only having the best will work for this type of mission." He knew Casey's reasoning but he also knew what could happen and he couldn't have it happen to one person in particular but for the rest of them as well. Beckman opened the door and walked in followed by Casey then Charles. He only looked up once as he walked in then kept his eyes low. The recruits looked up seeing the Major and for some Agent Carmichael had taught them weeks ago. Sarah looked worried but also curious to why she was there and Chuck was as well. General Beckman approached the front. "Please be seated."

The remaining recruits found a seat. "You're all probably wondering why you were called here. Based on your scores and grades we have chosen you to be apart of a joint mission with the CIA and the NSA."

The recruits looked at each other giving high fives to each other except Sarah who kept her eye on Chuck. "Major Casey represents the NSA and Agent Carmichael the CIA. This mission is of utmost importance and a national security threat if not contained. We are asking you to assist in the capture of Augusto Gaez who is wanted for murder, treason and selling state secrets." The room got quiet. Casey stepped up. "You will receive your mission debrief in the air. We will be flying to Rio to apprehend Gaez. You have over 12 hours to get acquainted with his file and get some rest. If you have any questions, please seek us out. I know that you're all new to all of this but based on your tests and scores you all are at the top of your field. And I might add some are even higher."

Charles kept quiet till Beckman giving him a look which told him he and to say something. Charles stood facing the group. "Your files contained years of information on Gaez. Don't be fooled by his accolades or honours. You are looking at someone on the CIA's most wanted. He is and can be described as a chameleon, he blends in well with whatever crowd or place he is in. So, keep your eyes open and even the slightest feeling that things might not be as they are, please speak up." Sarah watched his shoulders lower as what he said took every ounce of energy he had left. "Go and pack for at least two weeks and meet back here in one hour. Dismissed." The six stood up and filed out. Sarah would talk to him later, she hoped.

An hour later

The van pulled up to the tarmac and the eight got out. Sarah looked up seeing Chuck and the Major standing outside the plane. They handed them each a packet and waited till they were all on board. Sarah was the last to board. She looked at Chuck but he smiled or tried to smile. His eyes were dark almost lost. She had not seen that look in his eyes except the day he left her at the hotel which she opted it to him feeling sad, but this was her Chuck. The strongest man she knew.

She found a seat near the front assuming that the far back was left for Casey and Chuck. When Chuck sat up at the front she took the last middle seat next to Zondra. Carina was to her left and Mitchel and Amy, Fletcher and Abrahamson took the rest with Casey at the back. Sarah buckled up as the plane took off.

Was she ready for this, her test scores said she was. But she knew his reaction at first was not intended for the rest of them but her specifically. The plane ascended then levelled out. Some got up to walk around but she went to her file. The steward came by with coffee which she appreciated. She started reading his file and what they were looking for. But whoever wrote this didn't include a whole lot of his past. Was this intentional or purposely left out so we wouldn't get too attached to the person of interest. She was now curious as to Gaez's past and how it was connected to the present. She finished the file. It was three hours into the flight and it was very quiet. She got up to stretch and maybe grab a fresh cup of coffee. She walked back grabbing a fresh cup of coffee. Chuck came out of the head seeing her standing there. He looked down the plane seeing that it was safe enough to see her at least. Sarah looked at him as he walked in. She poured him a cup. He reached over grabbing some cream and sugar giving her a subtle kiss on the side of her head. Sarah leaned into him just briefly. He leaned back fixing up his cup. He reached for her hand but pulled back when Carina walked in. She looked at the two. Charles grabbed his cup and walked out. Carina looked at him as he walked out. "He's even cuter up close." Sarah brought her cup to her lips. Carina continued with small talk till the kitchen got a little crowded when Amy and Mitchel came in. Sarah headed back catching his gaze. He extended his hand so that she could touch him as she walked by. It would have to do.
