All I want to do CH 11
Chuck stared at the napkin knowing that Sarah was safe, he finally could breathe. He sat for awhile receiving inquiries. He repeated the same thing. 'Girlfriend issues.' Most gave a nod, then returned to their own conversations. Chuck paid for his order and grabbed his bag. He grabbed a taxi asking them to take him to the place she wrote on the napkin. He arrived and slipped upstairs. He was given an in when the cleaning crew left their key card, so Chuck helped himself inside dropping it back in the cart when he got the door open. He dropped his bag and looked around walking to the window where he saw the tower in all her glory. He had his girl and he had the views of Paris. He made himself a drink and iced his face. He knew she was strong but the punch still stung. He hoped he didn't botch the assignment. He assumed by the way she was dressed, short skirt and blouse with black pantyhose and her black coat, she was not there for her health. Her look made her look like a million bucks but to him she was priceless. He sat down near the window gazing at the tower as the lights came on. This was the third time he had seen the tower and he hoped that this time he would step on it. The first time he flew over Paris, so I guess that didn't count. Then the last time was just before Gaez killed Bryce and Jill. They had planned to go there just before their flight back home but instead Chuck was making arrangements for their bodies to be taken care of. He remembered the day. Chuck woke from being unconscious after being shot and left for dead. Still grasping the news about Casey and that he was still in critical condition. With pain meds in his system, he sat at a table looking at three thick envelopes. He grabbed the first one and turned it over seeing Bryce's name. He opened it pulling out his spy will. Trying not to react his heart was breaking this man who was a friend. 'If you could have friends in this line of work.' He said to himself. He read Bryce's spy will getting his details and finding out he wanted to be buried outside Versailles, which he didn't expect but it didn't surprise him. Bryce was a worldly traveller even beyond the spy world. So maybe this place meant something to him. Signing off his papers he went to Jill's and read hers. Surprised by her request, Chuck called her parents and they appreciated him doing this for them and seeing that her wishes were fulfilled and whatever he decided it was okay with them. Chuck went back to her request, for it was to be buried in a place that gave her peace. Chuck wasn't surprised that Jill and Bryce were a couple. They had been broken up for some time before she told him that she was seeing Bryce. Even Bryce despite his playboy persona, came to him and told him in person that he and Jill were seeing each other. So, Chuck made the easy decision to have them be together even in death. The last envelope had Casey's name written on it. He set it aside, Casey was still in critical condition but he wasn't out for the count. Chuck had faith in him and knew that John was a very determined Marine that guided and taught him everything he knew about being a spy. In Casey's eyes, Chuck was a soldier without actually training to be one. He put it aside and made the call to Beckman.
Chuck closed his laptop when he heard the door click. He stood up seeing Sarah at the door. She dropped her bag and took off her black coat, Chuck held his arms open. As his arms enclosed around her, her body reacted, she was safe but all the emotions she had held back poured out. He held her close feeling her body react, her tears evident, her cries expressing the downside of this job. He never let go even when he kissed her softly, her lips tasted like tears but he didn't care. He had to let her know that she was safe.
Sarah held back her tears feeling his lips on hers but as the flood gates continued to be opened Chuck was her life preserver. He continued to let her cry releasing all the emotions of the last month. When he felt her body relax, he leaned in to kiss her again, feeling unsure, Chuck was patient. Their lips met with little kisses with longer kisses embracing their reunion. Chuck pulled back and looked at her. He smiled as he pulled back her hair over her ears. "I love you." "I love you too." Their bodies wanting to be together but their hearts had other plans. As he caressed her face with thoughtfulness and tenderness making her feel safe, he asked her. "How about you go have a warm bath. Get settled. You hungry?" Sarah nodded. "Ok I'll see if I can get something to eat at this hour. Then we will talk okay." Sarah nodded. She wrapped her arms around him just making sure he was actually there. She grabbed her nightwear and walked to the bathroom. He watched her for a little while then gave her some privacy. She appreciated the gesture.
Chuck managed to find something to eat that consisted of toast and fruit. They apologized for the inconvenience but Chuck reassured them that anything would do at this point. Chuck heard the tub drain and Sarah coming out drying her hair. She saw the spread on the small round table by the window. He looked up. "It's not much."
"It's perfect." Chuck half stood as she walked towards him giving her a kiss as she sat down and curled herself up in the chair. She wrapped herself up in her robe covering her legs much to Chuck's disapproval.
Sarah ate surprisingly she was as hungry as she was. She never really thought about eating only eating because it was either there or it was delivered.
Chuck turned on the fireplace, and got out of his clothes, just leaving him in his boxers and a t shirt. Though the fireplace was fake, it gave the room a nice feeling of peace. They moved to the bed as Chuck propped up the pillows for her as she got settled. She padded the space beside her and he smiled. He slipped in beside her as she snuggled up along side him. Sarah slid her arm across his chest knowing he was there but still making sure. "How did you end up here? I thought you were heading home?"
"I wish I was. This whole month has been one thing after another. My initial call was to come to Budapest."
"Which you did."
"Yes, and my mission was to find a man named Almassy but it ended up being bigger than I thought. Have you heard of Kieran Ryker?" "No."
"Well, he was my assigned handler. I found out later that he didn't want one but used me to settle a score. This man that we needed to find was his meal ticket." Chuck sat up making Sarah sit up. "Babe I'm so sorry."
"He had me do these tasks like surveillance stating that when I was released, he'd have someone take over. Over time I found out that wasn't true. He also made it look like I killed the man that we were looking for. Which wasn't true either. He wanted the money and would do anything to get it. But he didn't know that the money was as assessable as he thought it was. Almassy's child was the sole beneficiary of that money. When I found out I got the baby and the grandmother out of there."
"The baby you mentioned."
"Yeah. When I got them out Ryker came after me and I ran. And fell into the Danube." Chuck grabbed her hand. "I waited for what seemed like along time as I watched them above me checking to see if I would resurface. When they left, I called it in for an extraction." Chuck's face dropped. He had no idea. "Graham got me on a flight back home and I had to see you."
"So that's why you had to leave so quickly?"
"I'm so sorry for that."
Chuck leaned in and kissed her. "You should have told me."
"I know now but at the time." Chuck reassured her by squeezing her hand. "I met with Graham after being with you and we came up with a plan. Ryker assumed that I drowned so we used that. I flew back to Budapest and was teamed up with a wonderful agent named Spiers." Chuck looked up. "I read a paper on him he was teamed up with." They both spoke. "Roan Montgomery." Sarah laughed. "Wow you had one of the best." "I did and I was so thankful." Sarah paused. Chuck waited. "When I met with Spiers, he found out that Ryker had been busy and that he made it look like I actually killed a lot of people. We found the gun he used and were able to retrieve video footage of him coming out of one of the rooms where he shot those men. We set a trap for Ryker using a fake baby and a recording. When Ryker arrived and found out that it was a trap we fought. " "He hurt you?"
"Nothing broken." Chuck looked away. "I'm okay." "You shot him." Sarah nodded. Spiers took my gun and took care of me." "Thank goodness."
"And the baby?"
"After some convincing we ended up taking the train to Lille where the grandmother had family there. Knowing that she is safe makes the rest of it seem not as important."
"So how did you end up here?"
"I was about to leave for the airport to come home when Beckman called and told me that there was a in and out type mission."
"Oh boy, they never are."
"Exactly."
Chuck laughed. Sarah continued. "It was a trade and exchange. The guy I was with I had to get close to." Chuck lowered his eyes. Sarah caressed his hand. "Nothing happened. I made sure of that."
"I know."
"So, when I saw you, I didn't know what to do, so I panicked slightly, but I did enjoy the kiss." "Well, you did ask me to kiss you. But the slap?"
Sarah realized that she had slapped him and finally looked at his cheek. It was red under his right eye and had a tinge of blue. "Does it hurt?" "Only when I touch it." Sarah leaned forward and kissed his cheek. Then moved to his lips and stayed there for awhile. She sat back smiling. "So, what brought you here? I was hoping to see you in DC."
"I didn't plan to be here but I got word that there were papers to be signed regarding Bryce's and Jill's funeral arrangements." Sarah looked at him. "I didn't know that you were their executives?"
"I guess I was. I was just out of the hospital recovering when I was given three envelopes. Each had their names on them. I looked at the first one it was Bryce's and enclosed was his spy will. He stated that if he died, he wanted to be buried outside Versailles. The second one was Jill's. I called her family and they told me to take care of the details. So, I had her buried there as well." "And the third?" Chuck looked up. "It was Casey's. At the time I didn't know, neither did the CIA so they put all the packages together. I never opened his. So, I finally convinced him to come out here and pay his respects. We were coming back from Versailles and he dropped me off. I wanted to see the tower before I headed back. I just got out of the cab and walked over to the cafe and there you were."
Chuck leaned back as Sarah settled in his arms. Sarah covered them up. Sarah looked up at Chuck as he started to speak. "I'm so sorry that you have been through a lot and I wished that I could have been here for you." "You were, you were always with me. Your words and our memories. And your texts kept me sane." "Even the sexy ones?"
"Definitely the sexy ones. So didn't you say you would cash in one of them." Chuck kissed the top of her head. "Most definitely but right now you are going to get some rest."
"I'm not tired." As she yawned subtly. "Nothing else matters at this point. We are together. And I'm in no rush to go home. Plus, we did plan to be together for Christmas so why not start now." Chuck continued to talk about what they would do and when he didn't get a response, he looked down to see that she had fallen asleep. It warmed his heart. All the time wondering if she was okay out here by herself and the not knowing if she'd be able to handle the chaos of being in the field, she survive and she would continue to survive every mission that she would be on from now on. He felt some solace knowing what he drilled into her and the other recruits had kept her safe and hopefully them as well.
He leaned over shutting the lights off staring at his love of his life and the lights of the tower outside the window.
Early the next morning Chuck sat at the window keeping an eye on her as most of the night she was restless. He knew the signs, your body twitches, your mind replaying every step, decision you made or the would have, could have, should have tug ol war. She finally settled around five. It was a little past eight. He got up and made another cup of espresso and nibbled on what was left from their meal earlier. He went back to his laptop and sent Casey an email.'Staying in Paris, I actually found Sarah here. She was on a mission and I almost blew her cover but she was a pro. Might get our holiday time togetherafter all. She had a rough time with the last keep my email open if anything comes up. Talk soon Chuck.'
Chuck pressed send and in minutes there was a response.'See and you wanted me to stick around. I'm happy that I didn't. She's a good soldier/ an excellent agent. I don't say that about many recruits. Maybe come back after Christmas- I hear that Christmas in Paris is what they say romantic. I will be off to see my special friend as well. But don't get all heart warmed like you do. And I know what you are thinking. Don't. Kathleen and I are taking it slow. And it's nice to spend time with Alex as well. I'm sorry that I haven't talked about her much. I'm not that kind of guy. It seems that you bring it out in me. Talk soon my friend.'
Chuck laughed at the email not trying to wake up Sarah. He was happy for his friend. Chuck recalled phoning Casey's next of kin. He didn't really have anyone listed except for a woman named Kathleen. After calling Jill's family he was hesitant to call this woman. Chuck called her and told her who he was and she was surprised that he was calling. They had lost touch years back and she wondered what happened to him. She told Chuck the short version of what happened and she took the next flight to DC. When Casey woke up Chuck feared the wrath of Casey but after a few explicit words he caved and they started talking. Chuck typed back.
'Well buddy better take protection or you'll have another little Alex running around. I guess it wouldn't be too bad having a boy this time. So, get on that. She's flying here or are you going there? I think you're right in spending Christmas in Paris.'Chuck pressed send and closed his laptop. He turned to face Sarah. He thought about it he never really watched her sleep. They never really did stuff like this. The normal stuff. He looked forward to it. He had a week before Christmas and there was so much to see and do and he wouldn't be alone. He grabbed his phone and looked at his schedule. He saw that his sister was leaving for the Woodcomb Christmas in a few days. So, he'd text her then. He made a note just in case he got preoccupied.
Sarah rolled over waking up around 11. She looked over and saw Chuck sleeping in the chair with a book open lying on his chest. She curled up looking at him, a first, in a long time just staring at him and how blessed she was to finally be with him. She wanted more but last night she was not in the right mind set. She loved him for not pushing her. She knew he was holding back for her.
She fell back to sleep her body won. When she woke up the second time she was not alone. His body molded with hers. His strong arm draped over her hips holding her close. She backed into him then turned. He rolled onto his back taking her with him. He never opened his eyes just moved like he did. She looked at the clock. "It's after 12." She was waiting for a response. "You still tired? You want to eat? You want to do more." As she dragged her fingers over his chest. She saw his smile. "Is that a, yes?" Chuck smiled again. "Yes, to one or all?"
Chuck rolled onto his side as Sarah fell back looking up at him. "Yes, to all." He leaned down giving her a subtle kiss then the kiss got intense. Their weeks apart and Sarah sudden exit still stung. Sarah held his face in her hands. "I'm not going anywhere." Those words were felt as Sarah brought his lips to hers. He rolled on top of her as she wrapped her legs around his. Their clothes tugged away slowly as they reacquainted themselves. Chuck placed his one hand on her breasts kneading them, then cupping them slowly. His other hand caressing her lower abdomen. Sarah laid back as she let Chuck do his thing. It brought back memories of the day she left for Budapest. It reminded her of their first time in a hotel like this minus the rowdy spring breakers. She was with Chuck and that was all that mattered.
She rolled him onto his back having her turn with him. She loved his sleepy sexy look as she called it. As she ran her fingers along his chest, caressing certain spots more than others. She knew what her man liked. He moaned slightly as she moved with him catching his eyes looking at her, which made her blush. He eventually sat up looking at her holding her as they rode this ride together. He kissed her softly as she ran her fingers through his hair. She held his face kissing him as he slid his arms around her holding her hair right. They fell backwards into the bed and curled under the covers. Trying to catch their breath. They stared outside looking at the tower. Her majestic stature staring at them giving her approval.
They made love once more basking in their alone time. Chuck laid on his stomach facing her as she curled up in the sheet facing as her toes dragged along the back of his legs. "If you continue like that, I'll have to make sure you suffer the consequences." Chuck looked at her as he moved to his side taking her nearest foot placing kisses on the back of her foot. She moaned slightly then he caught her off guard when he placed kisses on the inside of her leg. He slid up towards her as he drew the sheet away looking at her. "You ready to be heart warmed? Then hot chocolate." Sarah couldn't make a sound but nodded as he came closer. She dragged her fingers along his back as they moved as one. Chuck wasn't in a rush as she thought he'd be when they were like this. Usually, one or two times he made the effort to do what he could to please her but she didn't think that their third time he would care as much as he did. He made sure she was taken care of before he got what he wanted but for him it wasn't that at all. Her pleasure was his pleasure.
Chuck grabbed his shorts and sat down at the table looking for his shirt but when he looked up, he saw it being slipped over the shoulders of Sarah. She looked up. "Do you want to wear it?" He laughed. "No but don't get use to wearing it. I will be taking it off you later." Sarah smiled. Chuck grabbed the phone and surprisingly spoke fluent French. She did not know he spoke any languages. She had studied a little French but focussed on Polish and Russian. She figured most baddies came from Russia so she would have that language covered. He ordered pancakes eggs and sausage with hot chocolate and a pot of coffee. He also ordered some fruit. He put the phone down. "What?" "I didn't know you spoke French." He smiled. "I don't." "Well why did you just speak." Chuck laughed. "It was something Casey, Bryce, Jill, and I did. We learned some basic words when we were on a mission just in case we needed to order or get around town. Casey had Mandarin, Bryce had Russia, Jill had any Spanish speaking country and I got French. That would cover most of the world's languages. So, ordering food was our priority, then hotels and anything else we needed to get." Sarah walked over and sat in Chucks lap. "Say something in French if you met a beautiful woman." Chuck looked at her. "Votre beauté est sans comparaison." Your beauty is beyond comparison. "Vous êtes l'amour de ma vie. You are the love of my life." He kissed her. "Je t'aime de tout mon cœur. It means I love you with all my heart." Sarah kissed him and repeated what he just said. "Vous êtes l'amour de ma vie." Chuck answered. "Oui."
Sarah kissed him hard and intense that they didn't hear the knock on the door. Sarah got up grabbing her robe and slipping it on and heading to the door. She opened the door to see room service. He entered and placed it on the table as Chuck slipped on a hoodie. Much to Sarah's dismay. Chuck caught her glance and blew her a kiss. They ate enjoying the scenery on both sides of the window and as the snow began to fall, Sarah wrapped the two of then in a blanket and snuggled facing the window as the fireplace crackled behind them.
The next day
Chuck slipped on his half boots and grabbed his jacket; he was as happy as a kid in the candy store. Sarah watched him as they stepped out of the hotel and walked the street towards the tower. She listened to all the facts and tidbits he knew about the Tower and added a little French history to the conversation. She laughed to herself when she remembered when he tried to explain the history of the croissant. She loved this man that held her hand to keep it warm as they walked and as he made sure her coat was pulled up enough around her neck. Though it wasn't cold like DC weather it did make you cold enough to warrant a coat. Chuck stood facing the Tower looking up and actually seeing it, they looked back at where their hotel window was then looked back again at the tower. Chuck faced Sarah; he was so happy. "Thanks."
"For what?"
"For ending up here, now at this exact moment."
"It wasn't me, but I am glad that it did work out and you're here." She leaned in bringing him close as his warm breath heated her chilled face and when he placed his lips on hers, his kiss warmed her whole body right down to her toes. "I could get use to this."
"I did promise you that you would be heart warmed, and I am slowly moving through my list."
"Right, foot massages, check; hot chocolate, check; heart warmed, checked and lots of sexy stuff."
Chuck leaned in and kissed her again. "Check." (another kiss), "Check." (another kiss) Sarah placed her hand behind his head bringing him even closer. It was just the two of them in the city of love.
They walked the length of the tower at ground level then moved up to the middle section. They toured it then went to the top and snuggled together looking out at the city. Chuck pointed to where Versailles was from where they were standing. She turned around. "Will you take me there?"
"Where?"
"Versailles and where you buried your friends?"
Chuck looked at her and couldn't figure her out on why she would want to go there. She smiled then answered his internal question. "They were important to you so they are important to me. I saw on the mission how you still thought of them with such high esteem, despite what happened to them. Your short time as friends will last a lifetime because of the friendship you shared. And I know that apart of you still has some things to say. Plus, when will you be out here to visit them again."
Chuck didn't know how to respond so he just nodded then gave Sarah a hug.
Chuck pulled out a chair, making them both smile as they sat down in the restaurant in the tower. They held hands as they looked at the menu. Sarah had never been in such a beautiful establishment before. Yeah, she had travelled with her dad but they usually stopped at a roadside diner or fast food joints and even being on two mission now she hadn't had the time to enjoy the city or places she was in. But Chuck somehow was making it all possible. She caught his eye and he smiled back at her. They ordered and enjoyed a toast of French wine that after two bottles was going to be their favourite wine.
The next morning Chuck rented a car and they drove to Versailles. Sarah stared out of the window listening to the radio play familiar Christmas songs but this time they were in French. Chuck stopped just outside Versailles. "So, what do you want to see, we have the Gardens of Versailles which could take us about two hours then we have the Grand Trianon, Petit Trianon and the Queen's Village which would take us about an hour. The Grand Trianon is a French Baroque style chateau. It was built at the request of Louis XIV as a retreat for himself and his mistress at the time, the Marquise de Montespan and the Petit Trianon was built in the 1760's during the reign of Louis XV."
"Did we study French History?"
Chuck turned to face her. "Naw, just an interest in history and structures. I am a Forensic Engineer."
"Yes, you are."
Sarah looked at him. "How about we start where you want and end up at the grave site then grab a bite to eat and head back to the hotel."
Chuck reached for her hand and squeezed it. "As you wish."
"Princess Bride reference."
"Exactly."
Chuck put the car in drive and headed to the Grand Trianon.
Sarah was transported back to the 1760's as Chuck described in detail explaining the Grand Trianon. "The Grand Trianon was erected by Jules Hardouin-Mansart in 1687 on the site of the former 'Porcelain Trianon'. Commissioned by Louis XIV in 1670 to get away from the arduous pomp of life in the court and to pursue his affair with Madame de Montespan, the Grand Trianon is perhaps the most refined architectural ensemble found on the royal estate of Versailles. The architect respectedLouis XIV's instructions to the letter, and the king kepta close eye on the progress of the building work; he even personally commissioned the construction of thePeristyle which is an architectural term for a gallery of columns running all the way around a building or courtyard. The term is incorrectly applied to the column-lined loggia at the centre of the Grand Trianon." Chuck pointed the columns out to Sarah.
They continued to walk. "The royal apartments are to the left wing and are connected to the royal apartments with the right wings by the by the Queen's State Apartments and the House of Mirrors."
They approached the gardens as Chuck explained it's history. "Upon taking possession of the Petit Trianon in 1774, Marie-Antoinette set about thoroughly remodelling the gardens. Louis XV's botanical gardens were replaced by a vast Anglo-Oriental Garden. In designing these new gardens, Marie-Antoinette made a conscious decision to limit the number of buildings. She ultimately settled on two ornamental structures, the Belvedere, and the Love Monument." Sarah walked over to the Love Monument as Chuck couldn't resist taking a picture of Sarah facing the Love Monument. He approached her placing a kiss on her cheek. She turned around and faced Chuck placing a long intense kiss on his lips. They walked the gardens arm in arm looking at the light dust of snow blanketing the ground and the Christmas lights decorating the steps. Sarah could hear a small group of singers singing on the steps to one of the exits. Chuck pulled her close as they stood and listened to a few songs, basking in the season of Christmas. Sarah could tell that Chuck was delaying the trip to the grave sight but eventually came around driving to the spot. It wasn't far from the Grand Trianon but on the other side of where they toured. Chuck walked ahead holding her hand as they walked the stoney steps to the top. Chuck pointed to the tree that he had planted there. They approached the spot and Chuck got quiet. It was his second visit in a few days and even though it had been a year since they passed, it was still hard to not feel grief. Sarah dusted off the plaque of snow and looked down seeing their initials and the saying. Chuck crouched down beside her. "It was something he always said, at first it was just a comical gesture then it became more and more a tradition when we had to say goodbye to a place or when things were going well. He seemed to not want certain things to end. He craved attention, I am guessing that he didn't have a close family or easy life so to him this team was his family." "And Jill, didn't her family not want her remains to be sent home?"
Chuck stood up helping Sarah stand. "I called and they were okay with what I had decided to do. I heard that they were out here last spring to pay their respects and when the tree was planted so that was good. And her mom planted those roses." Chuck pointed to the roses. Sarah leaned on his shoulder as they sat for awhile looking out at the view. "You did good Chuck, Bryce and Jill would have approved. And I don't think that this time it will be hard to say goodbye." Chuck kissed the top of her head. An hour later Chuck got up. "Can't feel my feet." He turned to face Sarah as he reached out his hands waiting for hers. He helped her up and they walked to the car. "B-r-r-r. You weren't kidding." Chuck started the car and turned the heat on full blast. Sarah placed her hands on the vent. "I am definitely going to have a warm bath when I get back. Got to take this chill off." Chuck looked at her doing a dance with his eyebrows. Sarah watched Chuck as he drove back through Versailles knowing that this was a wonderful way to close that chapter in his life.
They drove to a place called Chez Lazare which was a small restaurant that they saw on their way out. It was another lovely experience showcasing Chuck's 'fluent' French which made her laugh but the waiter was patient and translated most of the menu. They ended up going with chicken which was the only thing Chuck could understand. Chuck paid for the meal and headed back to their car. He took his time driving back so they could see all the lights. "Well, this was nothing like last Christmas." Chuck quietly spoke almost as soft as a whisper but Sarah picked up on it. Chuck signalled turning back to the hotel.
Sarah unlocked the room as they entered. She was still chattering from being outside. Chuck took her coat and hung it up as she walked into the bathroom turning on the shower. She walked out as Chuck turned on the fireplace and grabbed some water. He raised a glass and she nodded. She took the glass and drank it all. She touched his chest. "Thank you for today."
Chuck pulled her close. "No thank you for making me go. It meant a lot. I feel freer if that's possible."
"Chuck what you went through and had to deal with on top of it all would make the average person give up but not you. That's what makes you special, and for what I see not all superheroes wear capes." Sarah kissed him then slowly started to unbutton his shirt. "What are you doing Ms. Walker?"
"It's time for a shower?"
"Is it?"
"It is?"
Sarah kissed his bare shoulder then tossed his shirt. Chuck turned her to stand behind her as he slipped her shirt off. He slid his fingers along her ribs then up and down her spine slipping her out of her bra. They walked to the bathroom taking the rest of their clothes off. The shower was a perfect temperature as the water cascaded over their bodies. Chuck lathered the shampoo massaging it into her beautiful hair. His ministrations making her knees buckle. Sarah did the same to him making his body relax. Chuck slid his hand over her body caressing every inch of it. Her breath changed as his hands lingered in certain spots longer than others. She knew he wasn't going to make it to the finish line in there but he was sure getting her ready to go the distance.
He dried her off adding to her desire to have him at that moment but he took his time. Chuck laid her down on the bed as she stared at him. She extended her arms and he was happy to fall into them. He slid in beside her taking all of her and releasing all the passion and love he had for her. His lips pressed against hers, making her want more. But how could she have more of him when she already had him. Sarah dragged her fingers along his warm back feeling all his muscles flex as he moved with her. Their bodies were in sync, like they were the very first time they made love. Chuck kissed her lips and watched her. His intense concentration on her made her take notice. She placed his face in her hands. Holding him close as she kissed him. "I love you."
"I love you too." As they rolled over having Sarah facing Chuck. Sarah looked at the man she was with and watched him as he held her hips in his hands giving her enough pressure as they continued to make love. She watched him, loved him till both their bodies were spent.
Sarah slid in beside him laying on her side facing him, still touching him with little touches. He returned with kisses which added to the playful banter between the two of them.
Chuck slid a loose hair back over her ear and looked at her. "Marry me?"
Sarah leaned into her elbow. She looked at him not sure at what she just heard him say. Chuck looked at her with such deep love for her repeating what he just said. "Marry me?"
He saw the look a shock and he was confident as she hadn't said no, but she hadn't said anything. "I know it's out of the blue and not something I take casually, but I know how I feel about you. Yes, it has been a world wind relationship and we have only been together if we add up the amount of time we have physically been in the same room would be less than a year, but my heart knows and I know your does as well. I also know that this line of work it doesn't look too kindly on relationships in any form but, we are an exception. How we met, how we tried to fight our feelings once we saw each other again, how each moment away from each other is like a pain breath. And I know you felt it too when I left you. Just as much as I did when you left me. But knowing that despite doing this job we can come home to us as partners and as man and wife."
Sarah wiped away a tear. Chuck's mouth opened as he was about to say something when she looked at him. "Yes."
"Wh-at?"
"Yes, I will marry you." She leaned towards him sealing their commitment. Chuck rolled onto his back taking her into his arms. "Yes, I will marry you."
Chuck in shock was about to get up. "I guess I need to get you a ring."
Sarah pulled him back. "I think that can wait till morning."
Chuck laid back as Sarah straddled him. "Ready for more."
Chuck smiled as he met her lips.
