All I want to do CH 12
Chuck woke to find Sarah still sleeping and lady Eiffel still glowing with Christmas lights. He eased out of bed and grabbed his laptop and clothes and slipped into the bathroom. He got dressed and then did a search of jewelry stores near by. He hoped to find one that opened early. He searched the suggestions and found none that would open this early. He snuck downstairs to talk to the front desk. The clerk looked up. "Bonjour." "Bonjour." "Que puis-je faire pour vous." (How can I help you?) when Chuck was unable to express his answer in French, he looked at her. "Do you speak English?" "Oui, sorry Yes." "How can I help you?" "I proposed to my girlfriend." "Congratulations." "Thanks, but I don't have a ring." He looked up seeing her face. "It was very out of the blue." "I see." "So, I want to give her a ring but nothing is open till later. Do you know of a place near by?" "Well actually we have a jeweller in the building. It's small but it does have a wide selection of rings and such." Chuck sighed some relief. The clerk walked Chuck down to the small store just off of the main lobby. An older man had just unlocked his door and was surprised to see someone so early. The desk clerk explained to the man in French what the situation was and he smiled. He waved Chuck forward as he pointed to a chair. Chuck sat down as the desk clerk left them alone. "So, you as they say in America, you popped the question." "Yes." "And she said yes." "She did. But it happened so fast I didn't have a ring." The old man walked around the counter and bent down pulling out a tray. Chuck eyed the tray. It was full of beautiful rings. "So, you would want an engagement ring I assume." "Yes." Chuck leaned into the tray. "We have many choices from the basic to the extravagant style. How would you describe your precious lady?" Chuck looked up. "Well, she's caring, thoughtful, she gave me hope when I didn't have any, she rescued me in so many ways that I can't tell you how many times. She's supportive and very beautiful." Chuck looked off to the side. "Most men start off with their looks but you didn't. She must be special." "She is." "Well let's find her the perfect ring then."
It didn't take Chuck as long as he thought it would as he kept coming back to one ring. He would hold it, then put it down and look at another then pick it up again. He looked up. "I'll take this one." He held it up. "Excellent choice." The old man took it from Chuck and gave it a good clean then put it in a little red box. "So, you will need a ring for you as well?" "I guess." "When will the wedding be?" Chuck looked at the man. "What are the chances of getting married here in Paris before Christmas?" "Eager beaver, are we?" Chuck looked at him. "Why wait?"
"There is a church near by that might have some openings before their evening service Christmas Eve. I can make a call." "That would be great." Chuck picked out a ring for himself that complimented both of Sarah's rings and they were placed in a separate box. Chuck pulled out his credit card, he hoped his card would accept the charge. He sighed deeply when it cleared. The old man smiled as he handed the bag over to him. "All the best and I will get back to you on the time. Anything else?" "A dress and a suit?" "The front desk will help you with that one." "What room are you in?" Chuck had to remember. He looked back. "1425."
"Merci, and your name?"
"Chuck."
"I will be in touch."
Chuck slipped upstairs as Sarah was still sleeping. Which surprised him as she was never one to sleep in but he figured she needed the sleep so he didn't want to deprive her of that. He sat down beside her staring at her, caressing her face. She stirred slightly making him back off but she grabbed his arm. "You're dressed?" "Yeah." Chuck sat back down as she reached his shirt starting to unbutton it. Chuck smiled. As she reached half-way he stopped her. "Wait wait wait. I will have you continue if you wish but I have to do something first." Chuck slid to the floor on one knee facing her. Sarah covered herself up with the sheet and sat up. "Sarah from the moment I saw you across that crowded bar, I knew that we were meant to be. Whatever forces were involved or how many T's were crossed and I's dotted it felt right. And I know I asked you earlier but now I am making it official and I would like to give you this." Sarah watched as he pulled out a little red box from his pocket and placed it in front of her. He faced it so when he opened it, she would see the ring. Sarah's eyes widened as the ring was displayed. He took the ring out and grabbed her left hand. He slid the ring on. "Sarah Walker, will you marry me?" Sarah looked at the ring then looked at him. "When did you get this?" Chuck looked at her. "Is that a yes." Sarah startled. "Oh sorry, yes and yes." Chuck got up and leaned in as they embraced and kissed. Chuck leaned into her as she finished unbuttoning his shirt. "Yes, I will marry you." Their lips met as she worked his jeans using her toes to help him shimmy out of them. Sarah kicked his clothes to the floor as they became one. Chuck slid his arms around her back lifting her slightly as he made her feel special. She held on dragging her nails down his back making him arch into her. They rolled back and forth enjoying their morning engagement love making session. Chuck laid on his back as Sarah snuggled inside his arm. She stared at the ring. "It's beautiful." "So are you." Sarah turned to face him placing a kiss on his lips but she didn't stop there. She moved on top of him placing subtle ministrations watching him react. She hadn't done anything like this to him in awhile and she had him where she wanted him. Chuck looked at her with his brown eyes that turned her on. He moaned as she continued, his body reacting quite nicely. "You better stop or there will be." "Be what Chuck?" As Sarah pulled her hair back and laid over him placing kisses over every expose piece of skin. Chuck was done. He rolled her over taking her by surprise but when he moved his hand she knew. This time it was fast and raw taking everything out of him. Sarah held him close as they drew out the last bit of energy they had.
They laid together as Chuck held her inside his arms facing the window. It was overcast which allowed the Tower to be lit with lights. They stared and gazed at the ring. "You did a good job Bartowski."
"I got my ring as well." He bent over grabbing the bag as Sarah slapped his right hip. He rolled back as he propped up the pillows. Sarah looked at the bag and as he pulled out the other box she waited in anticipation. Chuck opened the box displaying his ring and her band. They were similar with a white gold band and a diamond in the center. Sarah took Chuck's out and placed it on his finger. "It's a bit premature but hear me out." "Chuck no more surprises." "What would say to getting married here on Christmas Eve?"
Chuck watched her expression as she took his hand in hers and stared at their hands and the rings. Chuck pulled her other one out and slipped it on her finger. It fit perfectly. "It would be very simple. We get dressed up and head to a church cause I feel that is important and we get married." Sarah continued to stare at their hands. Finally, she spoke. "Christmas Eve liketomorrow?" Chuck looked at her. In a soft voice he answered her. "Yeahtomorrow. I know it's not a long engagement unless you want to wait?" Sarah faced him pulling up the sheet around her. "It's not that." "I'm going too fast, aren't I?" Sarah grabbed his face and kissed him. "Chuck, I love you and it would make me the happiest woman in the world to be your wife and yes, it is very sudden but thinking about what has gone on the last few months life is precious and time is even more precious. And our relationship hasn't been normal but I wouldn't change anything."
"So?" Chuck dragged his fingers up her hip across her chest which made the sheet fall catching his eye. He leaned in and placed a kiss on her chest then nestled inside her neck. Chuck could hear her moan and was just about to reciprocate when the rooms phone rang. Sarah rolled over as she was the closest. "Hello?" She looked down at Chuck.
"Yes, one moment." She passed the phone to Chuck as he leaned back. "Chuck here." Chuck sat up. "Excellent, tomorrowat 4." Chuck listened. "Okay I will send her down. Thanks." He passed the phone to her as she put it back. "Who was that?" Chuck slid his arm behind his head. "The front desk, how does 4:00 sound?" "What will I wear?" "About that." Chuck moved to his side. "The front desk will take care of that." "How are you paying for this?" Chuck pulled Sarah close. "Don't worry, there are some perks being a spy and I am very good at where I invest my money." Chuck gave her a squeeze. "You will find a dress and I will get a suit and we will head to the church and get married." Sarah slid her ring hand over his chest making a wonderful sight.
Sarah stared at the rings just enjoying her time with Chuck. She looked at the clock. "Should we eat?" She looked at Chuck who was lost in his thoughts. She caressed his face startling him slightly. "Hey? You, okay?" Chuck smiled. "Yeah, just taking this all in." "You hungry?" Chuck sat up. "I am always hungry." Sarah rolled over and grabbed the phone as Chuck followed her and slid in beside her as she tried to order but got distracted several times. Sarah hung up. And rolled into him and embraced his lips. "Room service." Chuck mumble between kisses. "Okay." Sarah straddled his hips as he held her close. "We don't have time." Chuck lifted her slightly. "Oh yes we do." Sarah lost her breath as he moved with her bringing her to a wonderful high. She held him close wrapping her arms around his shoulders. Chuck braced his one hand on the mattress as he held her with the other. They didn't move till there was a knock at the door as they tried to catch their breath.
Chuck got up as Sarah sat back. She laughed as Chuck tried to slip his boxers on heading to the door. He opened the door taking the tray. He came back grabbing some cash from his jeans and placing it in the young man's hand. "Merci."
"Merci."
Chuck grabbed a shirt and her robe passing it to Sarah as she stood up walking over to the table. She gave him a kiss as he waited for her to sit down. He looked at the spread going for the coffee first. He poured a cup for Sarah then popped the champagne got the glasses ready and passed one to her. She raised her glass. "A toast." Chuck grabbed his. " To my future husband." Chuck added. "To my future wife."
That afternoon
They finally got moving after enjoying their breakfast and relaxing and just being together. They headed downstairs and met with a lady that dealt with clothing and such for the hotel. She eyed the young couple and knew what would work for them. They stood holding hands like nervous teenagers as she introduced herself. "My name is Antonette and you are?" Chuck looked at her. "I'm Chuck and this is Sarah." Sarah waved slightly. "Ok Charles, I hear you need a suit and your pretty lady needs a dress. A wedding dress?" Sarah looked at her. It doesn't necessarily need to be." "Aren't you two getting married?" Sarah looked at Chuck and smiled. "Yes, we are." "So, you need a wedding dress or at least something close to that. You only get married once." Antonette snapped her fingers as a troupe of little elves came out and took Chuck away and through a back room as Antonette focused on Sarah. She grabbed a few dresses and hung them up. Sarah eyed them. She had never seen such nice dresses like this in her life. Antonette motioned for her to join her. Sarah walked over and started to look. "Would any of this work?" Sarah looked up. "They are all so beautiful." Sarah pulled one out then put it back then grabbed another and went back and forth. "Go try them on and see which one works for you." Sarah grabbed the first one and went to try it on. She felt like a princess as she tried on the dresses. The first two didn't have much of an impact on her but when she tried on the third one and it fit perfectly, her mind went off to their wedding.
Chuck wasn't a fan of what he was seeing. He just wanted a plain suit or something nice to wear. The young man struggled to find something that would fit Chuck's tall stature. The young man came back with a black suit and a white shirt. Chuck went to try it on. When the pants fit and the sleeves on the shirt fit and when he was helped on with the jacket the whole package came into becoming reality. He smiled at what he was seeing and turned to face the man. "This works." The young man smiled then went to grab a garment bag. Chuck changed and walked out seeing Sarah slipping on her boots. She looked up then stood and walked towards Chuck as he opened his arms. He kissed her forehead holding her. "Did we find something?" "I did." "And you?" "I did. I look like James Bond."
Antonette walked back in. "We will get your outfits prepped and sent to your room latertoday. How are you going to pay?" Chuck let go of his hold and walked over to the desk. He pulled out his wallet and slid his card out. Antonette prepared the sale and gave him the total. "This is our holiday sale price and because I like you two, I added a bonus so this is your total." Chuck tapped his card and slipped his card back into his wallet. Antonette walked around the counter and embraced Chuck by giving him a kiss on either side of his cheek and walked over to Sarah and kissed her left side then her right side. "You two have a wonderful weddingtomorrow, and Merry Christmas." Chuck walked to the door. "Thankyou and Merry Christmas to you as well."
Chuck held his hand out as Sarah took it and they walked out. They looked at each other. "Wow that was something." Both showing the uncertainty on their faces. They went for a walk along the Seine enjoying the light sprinkle of snow blanketing all of Paris. They approached a vendor and Sarah just smiled. Chuck noticed. "Why so happy?" "Just something I remembered when I was a kid and my dad and I went to a carnival and he bought me some peanuts, it was one of the few times we weren't running from someone or something." Chuck grabbed some money and bought a bag and gave them to Sarah. Chuck smiled and shook his head. "Coffee?" "Sure."
They walked back enjoying the peanuts and the fresh air. Another first as a couple not worried about being seen in public. Chuck pulled out a chair and they sat watching the last minute Christmas shoppers bustle around. Chuck took a sip and let the warmth trickle down his throat. "So, Christmas?" Sarah turned to face him. She hugged the cup looking at him. "Yeah Christmas, it was either at my mom's house or at my Grandparents where my dad showed up then left or arrived and we went on our Salvation Army Con." "Salvation Army Con?"
"Yeah, things that I am not proud of. But when your with your dad and it's the only time you have with him you kind of go with what you know. We would set up a fake table and I would stand there ringing the bell as shoppers dropped coins and bills. We would do several malls and bus stops as we travelled around San Diego. We would do okay money wise and I didn't know what having a lot of money looked like. My dad would give me half and I would take it home and buy groceries and help my mom out as she was so busy studying for nursing that I guess it justified taking it from other people." Chuck reached for her hand. "I'm so sorry. I guess we both had some interesting Christmas's but Ellie and I didn't experience that." Chuck watched her as she looked out at the shoppers. "Well not all your Christmas's were that bad, were they?" "No. The ones with my dad were questionable but I was with my dad and I admired him, he was really smart but he made a lot of bad choices that got him arrested." Chuck looked at her. He kind of knew that story but he felt she needed to tell it. "You know that Graham gave me a choice." Chuck nodded. "Well, he also, maybe I mentioned it already but he had my dad arrested. I was almost 18 and I was coming home from school which was a daily nightmare but I knew that no matter what kind of day I had my dad would make me feel special. I lived with him during the week as his place was closest to the high school I attended and I would go home to my moms on the weekends and holidays. One day I drove up to the house and saw police cars and FBI and CIA agents running inside and out of my house. Then I saw my dad being escorted into the back seat. We had talked about if that day would come what would happen to me. I ran as it was the next step. Get as far from the house as I could. I remembered him stashing a to go fund so I went to find it. At least my mom and I would be taken care of. As I dug it up, I heard the rustling of leaves. I took my knife and flung it just missing this guy, which happened to be Langston." "And he gave you a choice." "Yeah, he did." Sarah slid her fingers into his and looked at him. "At the time I didn't want any of this but I didn't want to go to jail either. But sitting here with you andtomorrowour wedding I am glad that I made that choice. " Chuck leaned forward as Sarah caressed his face, he placed a soft kiss on her lips and lingered a little longer just to get another. "Me too. And I hope that you can have new memories and that I can be apart of them." Sarah's heart was full and the coffee helped as well. She watched Chuck as he ordered another coffee for the two of them. He was right she did receive foot rubs, hot chocolate, and she was definitely heart warmed.
Christmas Eve
Sarah woke up alone seeing a note. She sat up and read it'Good morning beautiful and so to be Mrs. Bartowski or you can be Walker Bartowski or Bartowski Walker or just Walker. I have nothing against women keeping their names. Or I could be Mr. Walker. Anyways. I am giving you the day. You have a massage at11:00and hair and makeup at2:00and sometime between there lunch will be sent up. I will be out and about getting this afternoon and the rest of our wedding night planned out. I will get dressed at the church. A car will pick you up at3:30and drive you to the church where I will wait with anticipation for my bride to arrive. Oh yes, the dress will be delivered shortly. And no, I haven't peeked. Enjoy your day and thank you for becoming my wife. Weird to say my wife but it feels right. So, enjoy all that is to come and I look forward to seeing you soon. PS the wedding night oh man, you might need to have a nap. Love you more than my heart can bear. Love Chuck husband to be.' Sarah noticed at the bottom of the paper a droplet. She figured it was a tear from him. She sat back and the tears came. This time they weren't tears of exhaustion but tears of joy. She read the note again and picked up her phone. She dialled and waited. "Sarah?" "Hi mom. Merry Christmas." Merry Christmas to you too. Where are you?" "You won't believe where I am." "Well, where are you?" "I am in Paris and I am getting married." "To Chuck right I hope and not some mission." "No mom to Chuck. He showed up here which surprised me and the other day he asked me to marry him and I said yes." "You're not pregnant, are you?" "No mom." Sarah continued to talk to her mom. "I can't wait for you to meet him." "He sounds wonderful." Just then there was a knock at the door. "Hang on mom." Sarah walked to the door and opened it seeing her dress. She took it and thanked the clerk and closed the door. She hung it up and unzipped it. She took a photo. "Hey, that was my dress being delivered. I sent you a picture of it." Sarah waited and all she heard was a loud squeal. Sarah smiled. "Mom!" "It's beautiful darling. Chuck is going to flip. So where is he?" "He's out giving me the day. He left me a note, he set up a massage which will happen in an hour and hair and makeup then he has a car coming at 3:30 to drive me to the church." "He's thought of everything hasn't he." "He has." "You love him don't you." "I do, and how we ended up meeting I still can't believe it." "It was destiny, it was meant to be." " I wish you were here." "Me too, but maybe you can have a wedding this side of the pond. I bet his family would have liked to attend." "From what I have heard Chuck and his sister are very close."
Sarah could hear over their conversation medical announcement. "Honey, I got to go. Call me after the wedding." "I will. Love you." "Love you." Sarah hung up and stared out of the window. She was so happy to have been able to tell her mom. Her mom was the only one who knew what she did for a living besides Chuck. Sarah looked around the room. She saw all that he had done and knew she couldn't compete with what he did but she could give him something to open. She grabbed her phone and scrolled Amazon looking for delivery in Paris. To her excitement they had two hour delivery. She scrolled and found a few nick knacks but saw a British style half length winter coat in dark grey and a navy blue sweater so she swiped and ordered it hoping to get it beforetomorrow. She smiled as she headed to the bathroom.
Sarah drew a warm bath. Slipping into the suds her mind drifted off.'The taxi pulled up to the church as light snow fell like confetti and the faintest beams of sunshine seeped through making the stairs glisten. She looked out the window and there stood Chuck. He looked so handsome in his suit. 'He did good.' Sarah thought to herself. Chuck made his way down the stairs and opened the door for her. He extended her hand and as she took it shocks of energy flooded her whole body. She faced him and smiled. Do I kiss him can I kiss him? And before she could give herself an answer he leaned in and whispered. 'I so want to kiss you but I will just settle for this.' He turned slightly and pressedhis lips against her cheek giving it the right amount of pressure of tenderness. Sarah tilted her head so she could feel him. She took her free hand and caressed his other cheek. He looked up at her. 'Shall we?' Sarah nodded and walked with him up the stairs.'
Sarah snapped out of her thoughts and looked at the time. She had to get moving or she'll miss all of what Chuck had scheduled.
Sarah enjoyed the massage as her mind was on the wedding night. She was feeling pretty good, she was relaxed and she was getting married. She jumped into the shower to get rid of the oils they used then quickly slipped into a sexy ensemble that complemented her wedding dress. As the planned lunch was also served. Sarah nibbled on a sandwich when she heard her phone. She picked it up seeing who it was. "Hello."
"Hello wife."
"Well not yet anyways."
"So, how is it going?"
"Just had a massage and now I am having a sandwich and getting my hair and makeup done. Where are you?"
"Just sipping some coffee and waiting to head over to the church? Can't wait to see you."
"Me either. And thankyou for today."
"My pleasure." There was a short pause. "I love you." His voice cracking.
"I love you too, I'm glad my makeup isn't on yet." Sarah wiped a tear.
"I will see you in an hour or so, my love."
"Can't wait. Love you too."
Sarah hung up and looked into the mirror as the hairdresser got busy.
Sarah looked in the mirror looking at herself. She had not seen herself made up like that before. Even this last mission she did not go that far in fixing herself up. But Chuck was worth it, he was so worth it. She tilted her head back and forth looking at the updo. Her hair was nicely done up in the back up from her shoulders and pinned in the back, parted on the side, and brought around the ears. Her makeup not too much but enough to accentuate her features. She stood up and grabbed her dress and got the necessary help to zip her up then the room emptied. They all wished her well and told her that everything was covered. She looked at the clock, it read 3:15. The taxi would be picking her up in 15 minutes.
The taxi pulled up to the church as light snow fell like confetti and the faintest beams of sunshine seeped through making the stairs glisten. She looked out the window and there stood Chuck. He looked so handsome in his suit. 'He did good.' Sarah thought to herself. Chuck made his way down the stairs and opened the door for her. He extended her hand and as she took it shocks of energy flooded her whole body. She faced him and smiled. 'Do I kiss him can I kiss him?' And before she could give herself an answer he leaned in and whispered. 'I so want to kiss you but I will just settle for this.' He turned slightly and pressedhis lips against her cheek giving it the right amount of pressure of tenderness. Sarah tilted her head so she could feel him. She took her free hand and caressed his other cheek. He looked up at her. "Shall we?" Sarah nodded and walked with him up the stairs. The church was quaint all furnished for Christmas. Everything she had dreamed about was happening. They walked down the aisle as Sarah approached the stage decorated with the nativity scene and all the candles and a huge Christmas tree in the corner. Chuck was still smiling which made her smile. She turned slightly as he helped her with her coat. It was quiet, way to quiet so she turned around and saw the look on his face. His eyes were watery, which she thought that what he was looking at was not what he expected. In all honestly it was. "You are so beautiful." His eyes even more watery as they were before. For the strongest man she ever knew he was becoming a bumbling adorable softy. "Don't make me cry."
"I'm so sorry but have you looked at your self lately."
"Well, you look very handsome as well." Chuck couldn't control himself. He leaned in and kissed her. Not like she did to him in the doorway at PJ's but close enough. Their kiss was interrupted by someone coughing. Chuck stood up. "Usually couples kiss after the ceremony." Sarah blushed as Chuck wiped his lips with his handkerchief. Chuck turned to face the man. "Sorry but I couldn't resist." The man smiled. "I can see why. My name is Francois. Or you can call me Reverend Francois." Chuck extended his hand. "Sarah Walker and I am Chuck Bartowski." Sarah extended her hand. "Thank you for doing this on such short notice." "Well, it's not very often I get Americans wanting to get married on Christmas Eve, so I was a little intrigued to say the least." He stared at the couple and he knew that it was not a decision that was made hastily but it showed that these two were deeply and madly in love with each other. "Shall we get started. Our evening service will be starting in an hour." Reverend Francois walked to the front and took his spot on the top step as he had Chuck and Sarah face him. He smiled and looked at them. "Some administration items. You will sign your marriage stuff after and my wife will be your witness. Here she is." A lovely middle-aged woman walked up to the front and shook their hands. "Susan." "Nice to meet you." Chuck and Sarah both spoke. They faced the front. "Relax, I assume that you two are here with no trepidations or feel that in anyways are you two pressured into this union. " Chuck grabbed her hand. Sarah looked up. "No, we are not."
"Good because I don't have a message for that." The four of them laughed. "Let's begin. We are gathered here in this day to bring together Sarah and Chuck. From what I can see these two individuals are deeply committed to this relationship and I can see that this union has not been without its hurdles and its concerns. But beside all of those they have decided to become man and wife. Have you two prepared vows?" Chuck looked at her then back. "I didn't but did you or do you want to say something?
"We should, shouldn't we?" Sarah looked at Chuck. "Okay."
Sarah stared at the man who changed her life and wondered what she could say when you have it all. Chuck was someone who knew her even before she knew herself. Someone despite what they were going through made you feel special, made you feel important. Someone who saw you across a crowded room and pulled out a chair. Sarah got emotional as she composed what she was going to say. She squeezed his hands in hers. "Chuck you're a gift, a gift that I never dreamed I could want or need, and everyday, I will show you that you're a gift that I deserve. You make me the best person I could ever hope to be, and I want to spend and learn and love the rest of my life with you." Sarah tried not to react, those words she wasn't sure where they came from. She looked at Chuck to get his reaction but all she saw was a warm teary eyed man looking at her. "Wow. How can I compete with that." Sarah wiped a tear from her eye as Chuck noticed and gave her his handkerchief. "My turn, huh."
Sarah held the handkerchief snuggly in her hand as she returned her hands to his. "Sarah, no matter what I say it will never be enough to express the depth of my love for you. Or my dreams for our future? Or the fact that I will fight for you everyday? Or our kids one day will be like little superheroes with little capes and stuff like that?" Sarah nervously laughed. "Words can't express that. They don't do justice. They just don't cut it. So, no vows." Sarah took a deep breath holding back her tears. Chuck widened his eyes not to cry, looked back at Sarah. "I'll just prove it to you everyday for the rest of our lives. You can count on me." Sarah looked at him with so much love. "Perfect."
Francois cleared his throat. "That was lovely. Now how do I compete with that." They all laughed which helped calm Chuck and Sarah's nerves. "Okay the ring stuff. Do you, Chuck take Sarah to be your lawfully wedded wife, to love and to cherished from this day forward till death doth you part?" Chuck looked at Sarah. "I do." "Do you Sarah take Chuck to be your lawfully wedded husband, to love and to cherish from this day forward till death doth you part." "I do." They both smiled at each other. "Do you have the rings?" Chuck slid his hand into his pocket and pulled out the two rings and placed them on the bible. Francois said a silent prayer over the rings then opened his eyes. "Chuck please take her ring and slide it onto her finger and repeat after me. "Sarah, I give you this ring." "Sarah, I give you this ring." "As a sign of my love and faithfulness." "As a sign of my love and faithfulness." "Sarah this ring is a symbol of my eternal love for you. I will follow you anywhere and everywhere you go. Hand in hand and heart to heart." Sarah this ring is a symbol of my eternal love for you. I will follow you anywhere and everywhere you go. Hand in hand and heart to heart." Chuck slid the ring further onto her finger and gave her a smile that she had etched into her heart months before. He looked up as now it was Sarah's turn.
Sarah reached over and grabbed his wedding ring and lined it up on his finger. "Sarah repeat after me. "Chuck, I give you this ring." "Chuck, I give you this ring." "As a sign of my love and faithfulness." "As a sign of my love and faithfulness." "Chuck this ring is a symbol of my eternal love for you. I will follow you anywhere and everywhere you go. Hand in hand and heart to heart." "Chuck this ring is a symbol of my eternal love for you. I will follow you anywhere and everywhere you go. Hand in hand and heart to heart." Sarah slid the ring further onto his finger and widened her eyes not to cry but managed to smile a huge smile.
Reverend Francois looked at the couple. He took their hands and placed them in his. "By placing these rings on each other's fingers, you are promising to not just to love each other, but to honor each other, to be compassionate, patient, and understanding as you build your future together. By the power invested in me by the sanctity of the Church of France I now am pleased to call you man and wife. You may now kiss your bride."
Chuck looked at her. "Come here."
Chuck took her in his arms and gave her a passionate kiss then dipped her back giving her another passionate kiss. He brought her back up as she stared at him and he stared back. Both lost in the moment.
Chuck stood beside Sarah as they basked in the Christmas views of the church. Soft classical Christmas music was being played in the background. Chuck kissed her cheek as she turned around to kiss him properly. "Husband." Chuck kissed her back. "Wife." They shared nervous giggles then composed themselves when Reverend Francois came back with their marriage Certificate. Chuck folded the paper copy and slipped it into his suit the fancier one was placed in an envelope and slipped into his garment bag. Chuck took his wife's hand as they walked out of the church as man and wife when Sarah noticed the horse drawn carriage. She turned to face Chuck. "Is that for us?" Chuck nodded. "I was very busy today but we managed to get us this for an hour. He will drive us down the Sienne then back to the hotel. Cause I don't think you'd want to walk in those shoes. Chuck looked down at her feet, then back up at her. We will have a romantic meal back at the hotel then some fancy desserts in the room. Maybe some drinks and other stuff. She looked at him. "You have done so much." He turned to face her. "I will do what I can to make you feel special. And today was just the beginning." She kissed him which he definitely did enjoy. He helped her onto the carriage as she looked over the side as the horses neighed and clogged their hooves. They were pure white horses. Chuck waited till she sat back then covered them with the heavy fur covering. He placed his garment bag over the edge then sat back as Sarah grabbed his hand underneath and squeezed it as she rested her head on his shoulder. They rode along the Sienne the snow faintly falling. The hustle and bustle kept the carriage from going too fast which Sarah appreciated. She was now a married woman sitting in a drawn carriage with her husband. 'Her husband.' She giggled catching Chuck's eye. He turned to face her. "What's so funny?" "Just thinking that you're now my husband." "Weird to say wife too. Well, I promise not to get tired of saying it." He faced her and kissed her. The kiss was soft and as they lingered sharing kisses the rest of the ride there. They rode the Sienne; Sarah was mesmerized by the sights and sounds. The perfect way to end a wonderful day. They shared kisses enjoying their time together. The carriage finally came to a stop outside their hotel as Chuck removed the fir from their laps. He stepped over Sarah and down onto the ground. He stared in awe as his wife stood up and stepped down. Chuck slipped his hands under her arms and lifted her out of the carriage and held her in mid air as she came down kissing him. She couldn't get enough of him and it was just over an hour ago that she and him exchanged vows in a church. When her feet touched the ground, he whispered. "This is just the beginning." Sarah wondered what he had planned for the rest of the evening. The day so far was beyond her wildest dreams. He thought of everything even down to them standing where they were standing. Sarah looked at the hotel. Chuck grabbed his garment bag and they walked inside. "I will take this quickly upstairs and your coat. I tried to get us a romantic spot at a restaurant I heard about but because of the short notice I couldn't. So, I made some arrangements with the hotel. I'll be right back. He grabbed her face ever so gently and gave her a kiss then slipped to the elevator. Sarah stood in her wedding dress in the middle of the lobby. A young family walked by and the little girl looked at Sarah. "Look mom a princess." "Yes, she does look like a princess." Sarah smiled at the little girl as she continued to wave at her. Chuck had come out of the elevator seeing the interaction and smiled. He walked up to her not to startle her so he grazed his fingers down her arm just enough to get her attention. She turned to face him. "Definitely not a princess but my queen." She leaned in giving him a kiss. She would never get tired of giving him kisses. "So where to now?" Chuck adjusted his arm as Sarah slid hers in his and they walked down the lobby and into a smaller banquet room. Chuck opened the door and there in the corner was a table near a Christmas tree decorated in gold and white lights. The table was set with white dishes and gold rim and a bouquet of flowers as a center piece. Off to the side was champagne being chilled. Sarah could hear faint Christmas music being played similar to what she heard at the church. She turned to face Chuck. Chuck caught her tear. And made the motion of blowing it away. "No tears, my dear." Chuck pulled out the closest chair as Sarah sat down. He slid the chair closer to her as they faced the window. Chuck grabbed the champagne and started to pop the cork. When Sarah placed her hand on his forearm. "Thankyou." "You're so worth it." He leaned in and gave her a sweet lingering kiss. She broke the kiss as he was still lost in the motions. She caressed his face. "I love you." " I love you too." He poured them each a glass. He raised his. "Can I say something." Chuck passed Sarah a glass. Sarah took a deep breath. So filled with emotion it took her awhile to compose her thoughts. She took a deep breath and looked at Chuck. She raised her glass Chuck followed. "To many Christmas Eve's Christmas days as well as New Years. For all our firsts and all our seconds. I am so happy you looked up that day." Chuck spoke softly. "Me too." "Despite the jobs we have and the many moments we will be apart I hope that we will remember this day. I love you and I hope you'll never forget that." Chuck looked at her. "Perfect." Their glasses clang as they drank their first few sips. Their servers took care of them entering only when needed. They enjoyed a lovely steak and potato ensemble. Chuck stood up. "You ready for the next surprise." Sarah stood up. Chuck stopped to look at her. He couldn't resist so he took his phone out and took a picture. He took a selfie and a few others. He took one more selfie with him kissing her cheek and her holding his face close to hers. He slipped the phone into his pocket and grabbed her hand and they walked outside. They walked the hotel for a bit just to get some movement after their lovely meal. The hotel was decorated with lovely Christmas decorations. "The French sure go all out, don't they?" "They do." They finally reached the elevator and entered sharing a kiss. They reached their room as Chuck grabbed the key card and slid it in hearing a click. He stopped then smiled as he swooped her up. "Got to be traditional." Sarah savoured in his physical strength as she leaned on his shoulder enjoying his lips as they kissed in the doorway. He held the door open with his foot as they entered the room. He made sure she wasn't facing the room till he put her down. He looked at her. "Now for part two." Chuck turned her around as Sarah saw the bed that was made up with rose petals drizzled over it. Bouquets of roses plus the one from the church were placed around the room and tonnes of battery operated candles lit the room giving it a lovely ambience of light. Plus, the majestic lights of the outside added to the beauty. Chuck moved along side her. "You like?" "I love." Sarah turned and crashed into him. They hugged with all the love they had for each other. Their embrace that could last forever led to them walking together still embraced with Chuck tucked in behind her as they toured the room. Chuck made his way to her bare neck placing kisses along her neckline and her bare shoulders. "Are we wanting something Mr. Bartowski?" Chuck mumbled as he continued to kiss her. "All of you."
Sarah started to feel the effects of her husband's lips on her bare skin she reached behind her holding his head so he could be closer to her. He held her close. "I could stay like this forever. " Sarah spoke softly. "Me too."
Chuck grabbed his phone as Sarah thought he was going to take some pictures. But instead, he found a song and pressed play. He turned to face Sarah. "May I have this dance Mrs. Walker Bartowski. Sarah nervously giggled as they had never danced before and the last time this topic was brought up, she was dancing with Mitchel. Placing his arm around her waist then spreading his fingers along her bare back he placed his other hand into hers. Sarah followed suit by placing her hand on his shoulder. The slight height difference made her reach a little more. Chuck pressed the screen and the song 'The first time ever I saw your face' came on. It was a fitting first song. They moved in their little bubble to the words then stood in silence forehead to forehead. They could feel each others heartbeat trying to calm the nervousness they both were experiencing. Sarah opened her eyes when she faintly heard him singing to her. She didn't know he could sing. She wondered what other surprises she could anticipate in getting to know about him. They stayed close together for a few more songs till Chuck's phone died. But they didn't care. "I'm glad that you're dancing with me." Sarah nestled closer as he wrapped his arms around her a little bit tighter. "Me too."
Chuck went to plug in his phone as he came back, he stopped and stared at Sarah looking outside seeing the reflection of the lights inside and out making his heart swell. He dimmed the lights getting her attention. She turned around as she extended her hand. He walked up to her and slid his fingers down her arm grabbing her hand. Sarah placed her hands on his chest as she moved towards his lips. Their lips so synced it didn't take them much effort. Sarah grabbed his tie and slowly loosened it tossing it behind her. Chuck smiled. Then she moved towards his top button and slowly loosened the rest of them pulling his shirt out from his dress pants. She slid it over his shoulders basking in his physique. She kissed his chest massaging it her fingers. Sarah turned as Chuck placed kisses on her bare back sent shivers down her spine. He grabbed her top hem of her dress and pulled down the zipper exposing her lower back. He slid his hand to her bra releasing her. She turned around holding her dress close to her as she faced Chuck. She looked up as she stepped out of her dress. Chuck bent down helping her out of her dress. He laid her dress down on the chair as he stood looking at her. "You're so beautiful." Sarah reached for his belt and slid it off his waist as she popped his pant buttons and pulled down his zipper. His dress pants fell to the floor as she bent down to pick them up making him a little nervous the longer, she stayed down there. Sarah stood back up facing him as he slid his arms under her and swooped her up. Sarah wrapped her legs around him feeling his warm skin against hers. Their body temperatures rising, Chuck walked them towards the bed not missing a beat. Chuck laid her down onto the rose petals releasing a faint fragrance of perfume. He grabbed a handful and sprinkled them over her naked chest. Then grabbed one and dragged it over her bare skin. Sarah laid there with her eyes closed as Chuck followed through with ministrations over her body. Sarah rolled Chuck into his back reciprocating what he did to her. He laid there staring at his wife. 'His wife.' He thought to himself. He was a very happy man. "I guess desert is going to wait?" Sarah smiled.
Chuck sat up facing his wife holding her close, seconds away from ending their wedding night in style. Sarah held his face placing a soft kiss on his lips. She just stared. Chuck could see her eyes blink more and more as she tried to stop the tears, her heart he could feel pounding as fast as his. "Why is this, why am I so nervous? It's not like we haven't done this before." She lowered her hands as Chuck caressed her face. "I'm nervous too, but there's nothing to be worried about. I don't think unless I have to change my skills."
"You're skills?"
"Yeah, all the skills I have up my sleeves."
Sarah looked at his muscular arms. "You're not wearing a shirt." "Well then, I guess I'd better stick with what I know." He raised his eyebrows making them dance with made her laugh, then he kissed her hard. The kiss melted away any fears or worries she might have had.
Chuck lifted her allowing him to pull back the sheets as he placed her down onto the mattress. She welcomed him as they moved together making love as husband and wife.
Sarah knew he was good at what he did but tonight he had proven over and over that she was his main focus, her needs above his. He brought her to levels again she never dreamt of going to or experiencing. He felt her, she felt him as they made love into the wee hours of Christmas morning.
Sarah rolled over staring at the love of her life, feeling pretty good but wanting more; more of him. She dragged her finger across his cheek as he moved slightly. She kissed him and continued till he reciprocated. He opened his eyes smiling. "Not tired I see." Sarah shook her head. Chuck leaned on his elbow facing her. "Well maybe we should take care of that." Chuck rolled into her as they fell back into the warm sheets. They picked up where they left off. Every inch of them competing for ownership and yet there were no winners they both came out on top.
Sarah laid facing the window as Chuck moved in behind her adding a few more kisses here and there. Their bodies still warm from their love making. Chuck kissed her shoulder then rested his head on the pillow allowing her to snuggle in front of him. They held each other watching the snow fall then they both succumbed to sleep.
Sarah rolled over seeing the clock. It read 8:30. It was Christmas morning; she was married and she was in love. She rolled over staring at Chuck, she watched him for an hour till he started to move. He was so adorable when he slept. She let her mind wander as to what their kids would look like. She didn't realize that she had giggled out loud and when she opened her eyes, Chuck was staring at her. "What's so funny?"
Sarah kissed him and rolled on top of him. "Merry Christmas husband."
Chuck grabbed her hips. "Merry Christmas wife."
Sarah laid across Chuck as they tried to catch their breaths. Chuck dragged his fingers down her spine as she caressed his face. "Well, that's a new way to bring in Christmas morning." Well, Chuck we do need to create our own Christmas traditions so why not start the day off right."
Sarah raised her head looking at him. "Does your plans include a Christmas breakfast?" Chuck looked at the clock. "Yeah, 11:00 I figured we'd be hungry by then. Sarah got up and headed to the bathroom. "You coming Chuck." Chuck got up and chased her into the shower.
Early evening they headed out and walked the streets near the hotel, they got preoccupied after breakfast just resurfacing enough to agree on getting some fresh air. The streets were covered with fresh fallen snow. Chuck was wearing his new coat and Sarah slipping her arm in his. "Nice coat." "Yeah, I must have been a very good boy this year." He kissed the top of her head as they walked. There wasn't much open but they did find a small café. They looked up reminding them of Ali's. They walked in and found a seat.
