Kai POV: It was supposed to be a really nice day. All of us managed to wake up nice and relaxed. We had breakfast together and went on training without much concern. Even after lunch and dinner nothing really major happened. Cole was patrolling tonight so the rest of us were going to relax. Which we all needed since we finished a huge mission not too long ago.

Until the alarms went off and Cole called us. A break in at the museum involved several armed criminals. He tried . That's why I find myself in the middle of a fight. The second we got here we had to start fighting back. I lost track of what the others were doing a while ago, but they can handle themselves. Besides, I need to focus on this fight right now. I can check on them later.

This guy was skilled and we kept blocking and evading each other. He tried to nail me in the face, but I ducked down and aimed for his stomach. He jumped back at the last second and kicked towards me. I blocked it and threw it to the side, then tried to kick him back. Only for him to block my leg too. I've had enough of going back and forth like this. He swung again and I took it. Only to grab him and kneed him hard in the stomach. He gasped loudly before passing out. Leaving me to catch him and set down so he didn't get a concession. But I don't think that he will thank me later. They usually don't.

I looked around as soon as I was done, and relaxed a little. Everyone had their opponents, though they were beating them easily. Plus no one looked hurt, so that's another win. Though they were still fighting them. I could still help them take the last five… Wait, I thought there were ten. I quickly looked around but the others were fighting everyone that was there. Which means that we're missing four, great. I just had to jinx everything.

Okay, they were going towards the old weapon display, probably looking for something extremely valuable. If I run now I might be able to cut them off. But I have no time to tell anyone. I'll worry about that later, I need to stop them now.

Mind made up, I took off towards the display. It wasn't too far away and I knew exactly how to get there while sneaking up on them. And it worked Just in time as they opened the main case. Well, one of them opened it. The tallest of them was going through it while the last guy was just leaning against a pillar. He wasn't even looking around, a little too carefree dude. But there were only three of them though. Where was the last guy? I couldn't see him anywhere and I didn't like that at all. But I couldn't just let his friends get whatever they were looking for. Though, it's probably something really valuable and too dangerous for anyone. So I can't waste anymore time.

I sneaked up to the one that was just watching. I managed to quietly take him out, but the other two turned around just as I did. Nice timing.

"You'll pay for that, ninja." The tall guy said, then they both came at me.

Like their partners, they were skilled. I blocked both of their blows and was surprised by their combined strength. However, I quickly grabbed one of their arms and flipped him away. Then ducked as his partner tried to get me in the back, and took out his legs. He was caught off-guard as he hit the floor, and I took advantage of that. Before he could get up I knocked him out, but I didn't have enough time to dodge the next kick.

It hurt and I had to get away, but he followed. And he was throwing punch after punch, leaving me with barely any reaction time. These guys were really prepared for us. After a bit I jumped back further and was finally able to fight back. We traded blows until I managed to get him in the stomach. He coughed before falling to the floor. I caught him and set him down. Though I doubt he'll be happy about that favor.

After I tied them all up I went over to the display to see what they were looking for, but there was nothing. Just some really old, and really normal, weapons. Ones that didn't look very expensive or special in any way. But Zane might know something that I don't, so I won't discredit anything just yet. Even though I highly doubt it.

Soon I heard a groan behind, it was the guy I sneaked up on first. He was waking up, and he could answer some questions. I walked over to him as he shook his head. Once he saw his buddies and himself tied up he got frustrated.

He glared at me once he saw me and demanded, "You'll pay for that."

"Yeah, I've heard that before. It's not very original." I responded, crossing my arms. And he just rolled his eyes.

"Why should anyone care about that?" He spat out.

"So you guys can be remembered." He growled at my response. Annoying these guys will never get old.

"You ninja will remember us. I can guarantee that right now." He said, and for some reason that gave me a bad feeling.

"If that's what you want then tell what you were doing. What were you looking for?" I finally asked.

"As if you could understand. Just you being here is proof of that." His statement only increased the bad feeling I had.

"What does that mean? What were you looking for in the museum?" That question made him laugh with a bad smirk on his face.

"Who said that we wanted anything here? Maybe we were looking for something else." He said, sounding confident now.

I really didn't like that, but right before I could ask anything I heard someone running at me. I spun around only to get nailed hard in the head. I slammed into the ground and groaned from the pain that followed. I could feel myself passing out, and I could look up and see the missing guy. I knew he was going to be trouble…

Lloyd POV: We managed to finish up fast once we got the criminals under control. They were good fighters, but their teamwork needed more work. And thankfully that means no one got hurt either. As I tied up my guys I noticed Jay was counting the guys with a worried expression. Cole also looked worried as he looked around.

"What's wrong?" I asked, catching Zane and Nya's attention as well.

"There's only six of them. Wasn't there ten?" He answered, and I looked around the second he said that.

And he was right. There's only six of them tied up. Four of them were missing, and now I'm wondering how we missed that for so long.

"Where were they heading? That's probably where they are, if they're still here." Nya asked, more to Cole since he caught them first.

"I think they were going to the old weapons display." He answered.

However, before we could move Zane said, "Where is Kai?"

They all looked around, but he wasn't anywhere. He was gone along with the four missing criminals. Which probably means he went after them first. The second Nya and I figured that out we sprinted to the display without hesitation.

"Why does he do this?! Why didn't he wait for us, or at least say something?" Nya asked, the frustration clear in her voice. But so was the slight worry.

"To be fair, we were busy back there." I commented. I could feel the glare she was giving me. But I focused on running instead.

It didn't take us long to get there, but there was nobody waiting for us. There were no criminals, and no Kai to be seen. Only clear signs of a fight and an open case. She and I gave each other confused looks before looking around.

She checked the case to make sure everything was there while I checked. The quiet uneasy feeling I was getting was slowly creeping up on me, and I didn't like it. What made it worse was when I spotted it. A small pool of blood near one of the pillars.

"Nya…" I said before thinking as I knelt down. And after a couple seconds she walked over before I looked at her.

She went stiff as she saw the blood and looked back at me. She and I clearly had the same thought. The others soon joined us and Jay was going to say something. But he and Cole froze when they saw what we were next. Only Zane came over and I moved out of his way. Mostly so he could scan the blood and see who it belonged to. And I hoped he would prove my worst thoughts wrong.

In the meantime Cole asked, "Any sign of Kai?"

"No, and there's nothing stolen either." Nya answered, rubbing her arm. Still staring at the pool as Zane was scanning.

Jay walked over to her and said, "Come on, Nya. Kai will be fine. He's probably chasing them right now as we speak."

"Then why hasn't he contacted us yet?" She mumbled, and Jay didn't have an answer. None of us did.

Finally Zane stood up and confirmed what I thought. "This blood belongs to Kai. And, from what I can tell, it looks like someone surprised him from behind.

Nya went pale by that and I quickly asked, "Are you sure?"

"Yes." He didn't hesitate. But that still didn't make any sense.

Kai was always way too good at sensing people. Even Zane has had a bit of trouble sneaking up on him after they met. How could these guys get him by surprise? And where was he now?

"But if they got him, where could he be? And if they did get him why leave the weapons alone. They clearly had the time." Cole pointed out. And he was right. From what I could tell everything was still here.

Even Zane didn't have an answer, and Nya looked upset by that. But soon she looked worried again and said, "Unless that's not what they were here for."

Confused, I asked, "What?"

"Kai's missing. Four of them are gone. There's blood from a surprise attack. And nothing's been stolen. What else could that mean other than…" She tried to say, but she trailed off at the end.

But I understood what she meant. We all did. Kai's been kidnapped, from right under our noses. And we had no idea why.
