Kai POV: I groaned in pain as I started to wake up. Because all I could feel was agony that was consuming my head. It felt like someone hit me with a sledgehammer several times. It was intense, but I forced myself to wake up anyway. The last thing I remember was getting hit from behind, and nothing else. Eventually I managed to open my eyes to find that I was in a dark room. And I was tied up in chains to a chair, which were all signs that I had been taken.

I sighed and tried the chains, but they were tight and my fire wasn't working. That was confusing until I looked around the room. There was a table in the corner with a huge rock on it. I could tell that it was vengestone and I sighed again. But them having it means that means they weren't at the museum for an artifact. They were looking to get one of us, and I was the one who walked into the trap. Nice job, Kai, nice job.

That's when the door opened and two of the previous guys walked in. This time I got a good look at their faces. They were both blonde and one was obviously older than the other, but the older guy was noticeably taller. And neither one of them looked nice in the slightest.

"Well, well, well. Looks who's finally awake. You kept us waiting, ninja." The younger criminal commented, with a nasty sarcastic look.

"Good, that must have given you time to write a will." I shot back, and smirked when he hardened his look.

"If you think your previous friends are coming, then don't. They won't find you so easily. I made sure of that." He responded, getting in my face as he talked with a cold tone. Little does he know that the Bounty's newly upgraded tracking system.

The older criminal gestured at him to back off, and he did. Then he, in a cold and emotionless voice, started to explain, "Listen closely, you are a prisoner here. Meaning you will not leave unless I allow it. And I will only allow it if you give us what we want. If you resist I'll be forced to resort to extreme measures."

I didn't say anything, but I already know what my choice is going to be. They won't get anything out of me. Plus I needed to figure out what they really wanted, and at this rate they'll just tell us.

Which I was right about because the younger guy pulled out a computer and typed on it before saying, "We know that Dr. Borg has a network of information that would be very useful for us. And since you ninja are good friends of his you most likely have the access codes."

"Once you give us the codes you are free to leave." the leader added, crossing his arms expectedly.

I know exactly what they're talking about. It was a network that contained pretty much everything that we've ever faced, and what weapons that were used. Every single detail was in that network, and I did have the access codes. I memorized them just in case something happened, but I wasn't going to tell them that.

I scoffed and said, "Do I look like I would know anything like that? I'm not the best with that kind of stuff."

Neither one of them liked that answer. The leader practically got in my face and said, "I will ask nicely one more time. What are the codes?"

I stared back and said, "Not gonna happen."

Suddenly he nailed me in the face, hard. I was a little shocked by how fast that happened, though I wasn't afraid of him. Sure I could taste a little blood in my mouth, but he wasn't all that scary. I spit out some blood and stared at him.

He looked a little impressed and said, "Now, you have two choices. Either you give us the codes, or I will continue with the beating."

He cracked his knuckles as if that made his point. Honestly, I don't care about what he'll do. I won't put anyone, much less the others, in danger. Just so I don't get hurt. I'm not that kind of person, or will I ever be. I don't care what I have to go through because of that. It's my job to protect them and I won't screw that up.

I glared back and answered, "As if you can make me talk. You won't get anything from me."

The younger guy got a little nervous from that, but the leader just hardened his stare. He sighed a little before clutching his fists.

He raised them and before he started he commented, "Well, remember this ninja. You brought this on yourself."

Nya POV: We spent nearly four hours searching the city for any sign of Kai, but there was nothing. After discovering that Kai was kidnapped we searched the scene but there was barely any signs of a struggle. Which was really weird given that it was Kai they took, but we didn't stop to think about that. Zane had taken the security footage back to the Bounty to analyze it while the rest of us searched on foot. But there has been nothing from him. Nothing about what happened or where they could've taken my brother. That's why I jumped onto a rooftop alone to cool down. Though it really wasn't working because I couldn't sit still. I was just pacing back and forth while keeping my comms open. That's what I've been doing for the past half an hour, and the static was driving me crazy.

Eventually Jay said, "Guys, how much longer are we going to run around like this? It's getting us nowhere."

"As long as we have to. We need to keep going." Lloyd said, and it was a bit snappy for him.

"Just relax guys, we'll find him. We always find each other." Cole commented, trying to ease the tension.

"I know that, but these guys covered their tracks. And it's starting to get on my nerves." Lloyd said.

They continued to talk about their search, but I tuned them out. I leaned against the closest wall and sighed deeply. I was starting to get more worried than frustrated, and I honestly wanted to cry for a while. However, I couldn't cry just yet. Kai was in trouble and I need to focus on that. And Jay did have a point. We're just chasing our tails out here. It's time to do something different, but I'm not sure what exactly. I glanced at the Bounty, and Zane in a way. We haven't heard from him in a while. Maybe I could check in and see if I could help that way.

I tapped my com and said, "Guys, I'm going to check on Zane."

"...Alright, we'll keep going out here." Lloyd said, and I could sense his hesitation. From all three of them actually, but I didn't read into it.

I ran towards the ship, and it strangely made me feel calmer than all that pacing did. I got there in record time, and I noticed Pixal's mech was also there. Zane must have called her to help. Meaning that there was something going on with the footage. And that ruined my formerly calmed nerves. I walked into the command room and found them working hard on the computers. They didn't even notice that I was there because of that. I tried coughing to get their attention, but that didn't work.

"Zane, has the program worked?" Pixal said instead, while focusing on her own screen.

"For now, yes. But the process is slow. I've been trying to improve it." Zane answered, also focusing.

"That is better than before. I have managed to recover some of the footage. However, it only shows Kai's battle with the criminals. As well as the moment where he gets attacked from behind before cutting out."

My heart dropped a little when she said that. But at the same time it just made sense. That would be the only explanation for why there wasn't any struggle. Though that didn't stop me from freaking out a little. He probably has a concussion by now, not to mention what else they could be doing right now to hurt him.

Zane POV: Pixal and I continued to try to recover the security footage when I noticed that Nya was standing there. She was slightly pale, which leads me to believe that she has been here for a while. Most likely she heard what Pixal had just described.

"Nya?" I asked, and she flinched before looking at me. Pixal also turned to her when I said her name.

Nya quickly cleared her throat and asked, "Have you guys found anything?"

She was diverting attention away from herself. That was obvious, however she would not appreciate that being pointed out at the moment. "We have found certain details that are pointing us in the right direction. Unfortunately nothing that will lead to a location yet."

Disappointed, she nodded and quickly left before either one of us could say anything. Leading for Pixal and I shared a look after she did.

"I'm assuming that she overheard us." She said, and I sighed a little.

"I believe so." I agreed, glancing at the door.

"Will she be alright? She looked pale and distraught." She asked, with a worried tone in her voice.

I sighed again, deeper than my previous before, and answered, "She will remain worried until we find Kai. so we should return to work"

She nodded and started working again, as did I. Hopefully we can find Kai before anyone else can get hurt or captured. However, things have never been that simply for us before.
