Frieza was flying towards where he could detect the sole remaining namekians. He internally damned everything. He didn't think that the Namekians would have a password for their dragon balls. This really wasn't his day. Luckily, Captain Ginyu was currently guarding the dragon balls and Vegeta and the Earthlings were certainly dead by now.
Just as Frieza thought that, he suddenly got a notification on his scouter. Something was coming. He wondered what it could be and tapped on his scouter to see what it was. It was a power level of…570,000?! Quickly the emperor got on the line with the Ginyu soldiers, yelling,
"Jeice, Buter, Guldo, Reccome, are Vegeta and the Earthlings dead?!"
However, no one responded. Before Frieza could try to get in touch with Ginyu to tell him what was going on, the tyrant suddenly heard a distant voice say,
"Galick…"
The emperor turned around a second too late as Vegeta fired a full power galick gun at him. He barely had enough time to fire an energy blast at the galick gun, but his blast was swiftly engulfed by the sheer power of the galick gun. Before Frieza could even think about transforming into his second form, he was hit dead on by the attack and was atomized instantly.
Frieza, the evil emperor of the universe, was dead. With the last of his strength, Vegeta then shot back to Frieza's spaceship. As he was flying, the namekian Grand Elder Guru was worrying over the future of their world. He had sensed Vegeta's new power, and knew that he had become a blogger threat than even Frieza. He also realized that he had forgotten to tell the Earthlings the password.
In order to take care of this, he had unlocked the young namekian Dende's potential, granting him the ability to heal. Guru knew how close Dende was to the Earthlings since they had saved his life from one of Frieza's men, so he was the perfect namekian for the job. He had also sent his bodyguard Nail to aid in the battle against the Ginyu force, but now they had a bigger threat.
The namekian elder telepathically contacted his bodyguard and told him
'Nail, we must speak.'
Nail replied,
'Lord Guru, I can sense it. That power surpassed even Frieza's. What do I do?'
'You must find the Earthlings. They are on the verge of death in the Mambai district. Please, hurry.'
'Yes, lord Guru.'
Guru then cut off the telepathic link and sighed. He sadly said to himself,
"My time grows ever shorter. I only hope that they can use the dragon balls before it runs out completely. Zalama help us…"
A few minutes later, Vegeta reached Frieza's ship. However, Captain Ginyu had detected Vegeta's massive power and had his arms stretched out, preparing to switch bodies with him. Ginyu was engulfed by a purple aura, and as Vegeta got closer, the Ginyu force captain yelled,
"CHANGE NOW!!!"
A yellow beam of energy then shot out of Ginyu's mouth, heading straight towards Vegeta. However, the saiyan prince dodged this attack and fired a ki blast at Ginyu, killing him instantly. Vegeta then landed on the ground, and panting in exhaustion, reverted back to base form. The saiyan prince collapsed to his knees and looked at his hands in awe, saying to himself,
"That power…I could barely control myself, but it was absolutely astonishing…..could it be? It must be…"
Vegeta then smirked and began to laugh before bursting into full on maniacal cackling, screaming,
"YES! I, VEGETA, HAVE BECOME THE SUPER SAIYAN OF LEGEND! NOW NO ONE CAN OPPOSE ME! NO ONE!!!"
He then stood up and looked at Frieza's ship. His pride and ego at an all-time high, Vegeta proclaimed,
"Once I'm healed, I'll find where Frieza hid the dragon balls and get my wish! Oh, this is just my day!"
Vegeta then walked into the ship and opened the door, stepping inside. There were some men inside who tried to stop him, but he killed them all casually and made his way to the only healing pod left in the ship. He sighed, muttering,
"Well, at least there is another healing pod on this ship. Unfortunately, this model is going to take a while to fully heal me. But it doesn't matter. Those Earthlings will have doubtlessly bled out by the time I'm awake, and finding the dragon balls shouldn't be too hard. I think I've earned a rest."
Vegeta then walked into the healing chamber and activated it from the inside, closing his eyes and attempting to go to sleep. About half an hour later, Dende arrived at where Gohan and Krillin were, finding them laid out and barely alive. Dende began to panic, yelling,
"Oh no, I might be too late!"
The young namekian quickly landed on the ground and ran over to Gohan, placing his hands over him and beginning to heal him. He somehow knew how to do this on instinct. He begged Gohan to not be dead, and after a few moments, the young boy stirred. Dende was ecstatic, yelling,
"Oh, Gohan! Thank goodness you're alive!"
Gohan groggily got to his feet and was shocked to see Dende. He asked his young namekian friend,
"Dende? Is that you?"
"Yes Gohan, it's me!"
"The last thing I remember is that…I think I saw a big desk with an ogre in front of it? It was pretty blurry though. A weird dream."
Dende nodded at this, not really paying any attention, and then ran up to Krillin and healed him as well. Krillin got up and was shocked to see Dende, and was even more shocked when Dende explained to him and Gohan how Guru had unlocked his potential. However, Krillin looked down in defeat and said,
"It's useless. I can't sense any of the massive kis that were on this planet except for Nail, so Vegeta's probably about to get his wish."
Gohan looked down sadly at this news, but Dende then yelled,
"Don't worry, he can't! He needs a password to access the dragon!"
Krillin and Gohan were shocked, Krillin asking Dende if he was serious. Dende nodded and told him and Gohan,
"That's why I came here, to tell you guys the password!"
Their spirits now reinvigorated by this news, Gohan and Krillin looked towards the direction where they could sense Vegeta's ki. It was slowly rising, but was nowhere near the heights it must have been to kill Frieza and his men, so he must somehow be healing. Krillin then told Gohan and Dende,
"Alright, you two. Follow me."
The 3 heroes then flew off, and after a few minutes arrived at the location of Frieza's ship. They landed on the grass, looking around for the dragon balls. However, they couldn't see anything. As they scanned the area, Gohan suddenly saw a patch of dirt in place of grass.
"Hey, over here!"
The 3 heroes ran up to the patch of dirt, and Krillin then told Gohan and Dende to start digging. They did so, and after a few seconds felt something hard. Gohan eagerly pulled out the hard object, and sure enough, it was a namekian dragon ball. The young half saiyan boy cheered, but Krillin told him,
"Stay quiet, Gohan. We don't know if Vegeta could be nearby. We better make the wish quick!"
Gohan acknowledged that he was right, and so they dug out the rest of the dragon balls and laid them on the soil. Krillin then nodded to Dende, who extended his arms out to the dragon balls and yelled a strange chant. A giant geyser of light then exploded out of the dragon balls and formed into a massive, alligator-like dragon with huge pectoral muscles, shoulders, arms and well defined pectoral muscles.
Gohan and Krillin looked on in shock, and the dragon then said,
"I am Porunga, dragon of dreams. Speak any 3 wishes and I shall grant them."
Gohan and Krillin were shocked at the mention of 3 wishes, but as they discussed what to use them for, Vegeta was still within Frieza's mothership. Unable to sleep, he had heard the dragon roaring and had decided to end his healing early to see what it was. He looked out the window, and to his shock, saw that the sky was black. He asked himself,
"How…how is this possible?! This planet has 3 suns, there shouldn't be a nighttime!"
Vegeta then ran outside and his jaw dropped when he saw Porunga. He quickly managed to put together that the Earthlings had managed to gather the dragon balls, and out of sheer rage, Vegeta drew upon the "super saiyan" power he had just achieved and yelled,
"I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU ANTS ARE STILL ALIVE, BUT IT WILL NOT BE FOR LONG!!!!"
A few seconds after taking off, Vegeta then landed in front of the 3 heroes. They were all terrified to see Vegeta, especially in his new form, and said saiyan prince then hoisted Dende into the air by the scruff of his robes. Vegeta then screamed at him,
"YOU WILL GRANT MY WISH, YOU HEAR ME?! OR I WILL WIPE OUT YOU AND EVERY SINGLE MISERABLE THING LEFT ON THIS PLANET!!!"
Gohan tried to rush at Vegeta to stop him, but the saiyan prince simply kicked him aside and prepared a ki blast to kill him. Before he could fire it, Dende cried out,
"Wait! I'll do it, just please don't kill him!"
Vegeta smirked at hearing this, and Krillin could do nothing but watch in horror. The saiyan prince then reverted to base form, but Krillin still knew they stood no chance now. Angrily, he mentally yelled,
'So close! We were so close! I'm sorry, Goka!'
Vegeta, a massive grin evident on his face, then said to Dende,
"Alright, Namekian. For my first wish: Make it so that the saiyan Kakarotta can never be located by anything, divine or technological, and make it impossible for yourself or any dragon to teleport her anywhere!!!"
Dende then said the wish in Namekian to Porunga, who after a moment of agonizing silence, told him,
"Your wish has been granted…"
