"I...uh..." MePhone started. It's happening again. The visions of Cobs. Except this time, he can hear his voice. In his head. It's like a program stuck in there. He can't get rid of it. No matter how hard he tries to ignore it. He could hear Cobs mocking him. He could hear him threatening him. He could hear the knife, coming out of its hilt. He could hear him scoffing and laughing. It...won't go away. "MePhone? I...I'm sorry, I didn't mean to trigger anything..." Book said.
He could hear her talking, but just faintly. He could mostly hear Cobs. "I...I'm sorry. I-I have to go," MePhone said. "Nice to make your acquaintance."
"I'm sorry, MePhone," Book said, as he walked away.
What is happening to him? He tries to forget, without deleting his memory, but...it just won't go away. First, he overheated and restarted. He doesn't want it to happen again. Especially near anyone, specifically near Two's contestants. They don't need to see that. They don't need to see him. He should just stay locked up in his new room all day and never come out.
"Hey! MePhone!" Two cheered, waving. "How'd it go with book?" MePhone didn't answer. Instead, he just stared at Two, a look of terror on his face. "MePhone? You okay?"
"4," Cobs said. "We finally meet again." Cobs walked a few steps closer to MePhone, his hands behind his back. "I thought I'd gotten rid of you." He pulled his knife out. "Oh, wait, no. Hm, it seems I've gotten MePad instead of you. Well, to bad for him."
"N-no, no, y-you can't be back," MePhone said. "We...we killed you."
"Who's 'we?'" Cobs asked. "I only see one of you." MePhone glanced behind him to see the egg pattered hills behind him, and the cliff from before. "I wouldn't walk too far, 4," Cobs said. "You'll fall off."
MePhone stopped against a tree. "MePhone?" Two asked, keeping his distance. "Are...what's happening?"
"There we go," Cobs said. "Now, you know I don't have to use this if you come with me." He twirled the knife around, taunting him with it. "But...you did scare away those eggs. So...you kinda don't have a choice."
"N-no..." MePhone whispered. "No, no, no, no!" He sat on the ground and closed his eyes, tightly. "Come along, 4," Cobs said, walking towards him.
"No, no..." MePhone said. "I...I can't..."
"Hm? Why not?" Cobs asked. "You're not thinking about jumping off that cliff, are you?"
"No..." MePhone said. "I...I won't."
"That's what I was afraid of," Cobs said. He pushed the knife back out of the hilt. "If you don't take my hand and come with me now, kid, then you'll never see the sun again." Cobs put his hand out, putting the knife down. The blade is still out.
MePhone started shaking. "Is he okay?" Basketball asked. "He looks...scared."
"Basketball, wait," Black Hole said, moving closer to her, blocking MePhone. "Don't come near him."
"Why?" Fanny asked.
"He's having an episode," Black Hole said.
"A what?" Pen asked.
"An episode is usually used to describe...uh...well, it's when someone has trauma and they relive it," Tennis Ball said.
"He's in the middle of reliving it?" Liy asked.
"Yes, stay away from him," Black Hole said. "If you get close, it'll only make it worse."
"We can kill him!" Pillow suggested. "Then it'll put an end to his episode!"
"Pillow!" Donut cried. "You can't just kill people!"
"We're not killing anyone!" Golf Ball cried.
"Just keep your distance and wait until he's done," Black Hole said.
"Come on, 4, just take my hand," Cobs said. "It's not that hard."
"I...I won't!" MePhone muttered.
"Hmm," Cobs said. "Well, then. I guess I'll take it myself."
MePhone screen glitched, just like it did before. It turned many colors, green, blue, red, grey, static, then all of the before mentioned in one. Cobs glitched onto his screen for a minute, then MePad, lying on the ground. MePhone's face glitched back, his eyes full of tears. Then his screen went black again. "MePhone!" Two cried. He looked at Black Hole, who hesitated, then let him through. Two ran over to MePhone, kneeling on the ground next to him.
"MePhone, hang in there, buddy," Two said.
MePhone sparked. There came a small puff sound came from MePhone, then he began smoking. Two yelped and jumped. "What happened?" Two asked.
"He overheated," Robot Flower replied.
"He might've fried something!" Basketball cried. "Two, open his back! Let me see!"
Two touched MePhone, then took his hands off. "Ah, ooh!" He blew on his hands, then used his magic to flip him over. He tugged at his back for a moment before it popped open. He placed his back panel on the ground, propped up against the nearby tree, then moved away a little for Basketball.
Basketball coughed in the smoke. "I got this!" Tennis Ball cried. He pulled out a vacuum and began sucking up the dark smoke. It was cleared within a couple of seconds. "Okay, let's look," Basketball muttered.
There was a moment of pained silence from Two, and some of the contestants. "Aha! There!" Basket ball cried, pointing at a black box inside of MePhone's body. "Two, open it up!" She handed him a screwdriver. He unscrewed each screw, using his magic to float them next to his back panel. "You see that green things there?" Basketball asked, pointing at the flat, green square, with white lines and a few circles on it. "Yeah," Two said, worry in his voice. "That's his processor. Take it out. VERY CAREFULLY. You don't want to ruin anything else."
Two used his magic again and carefully tugged at his processor. He moved it around a little bit until it popped out and floated into the air. "Golf Ball!" Basketball called. "Can you fix this?"
"I can try," Golf Ball replied, taking MePhone's processor out of the air and hopping away with it. Tennis Ball followed her to her Underground Lab.
