My Professor is a Werewolf

Friday Ficlets Series

"I swear my International Commercial Arbitration professor is a werewolf, babe."

Chris raised an eyebrow, but he didn't look up from the book he was reading. "Hello to you too, baby doll. There were times you greeted me with 'hello, babe, I missed you'."

He could hear his boyfriend dumping his bag, kick off his sneakers and make his way into the living room. The book was lifted out of Chris' hand and put onto the living room table so Stiles could properly climb onto his lap, straddling Chris' thighs. He wrapped his arms around Chris' neck and pulled him into a slow and deep kiss. Humming pleased, Chris wrapped his arms around Stiles' waist to pull him even closer while deepening the kiss.

"Hello, babe, I missed you," Stiles grinned against his lips, then dragging his own lips along Chris' jawline. "I swear my International Commercial Arbitration professor is a werewolf."

Chris huffed, face buried in Stiles' neck, beard scratching over pale, sensitive skin, making Stiles shudder. His boy loved being marked up.

This conversation wasn't new. For the past couple weeks, Stiles had been claiming one of his professors was a werewolf.

"Baby, I know you miss the pack, are you sure you're not just… projecting?"

"Do not patronize me, Christopher," Stiles growled and sat up to glare at him. "Not you."

Heaving a sigh, Chris reached up to cup his boyfriend's face with both hands. "I'm sorry, Stiles. I didn't mean to patronize you. Your… Your instincts have never failed you in the past. But we've been in New York for nearly three years now and never ran into any wolves, how likely is it that in your final semester of law school, your professor is a werewolf…?"

In his arms, Stiles deflated in defeat and curled forward, resting his forehead against Chris' shoulder. "Yeah… Yeah, no you're probably right. Maybe I really am projecting this. I'm close to finished with law school. I miss being in a pack but we're not going back to… to Beacon Hills so maybe my subconscious is trying to see wolves where there aren't any, looking for a home…"

Oh, this was worse than the conspiracies he'd tried to stop, because those at least came with excitement and sparkling honey eyes. Defeat wasn't a good look on his boy. Wrapping his arms around Stiles' body, he pulled his lover as close as possible, kissing the top of his head.

"Tell you what," Chris sighed. "You give me the name of that professor of yours and I'll look into him, discreetly, and you continue focusing on your studies, mh?"

Stiles peeked up with hopeful eyes. "You'd do that? Even though you think it's in your head?"

"Your instincts have never failed you," Chris repeated his earlier words, this time with more force, kissing Stiles gently. "Maybe I'm just getting rusty, maybe I just don't want any more trouble, maybe I've gotten comfortable with the peaceful, calm life we've been leading in New York. But this city is too big to not have any wolves at all, so why not lawyers. Actually… there probably are a bunch of lawyers who are wolves, come to think of it…"

It earned him a huffed out laugh from Stiles and a swat to his chest, before he got pecked on the lips. "Thanks, babe, you are absolutely the best. And the professor's name is Peter Hale."

All playfulness left Chris' face and maybe his soul left his body too as he stared at his boyfriend for a long moment of stunned silence. "Your professor is a fucking werewolf…"

"Huh?" Stiles blinked confused, looking up at him. "That… was a quick turn?"

"Remember the ex I told you about?" Chris heaved a very deep sigh. "Before the Hale Fire, before… before I even met Victoria? The werewolf I used to date in high school?"

"The one that made your father force you into that arranged marriage? How could I forget? What does that…" Stiles trailed off, looking at Chris' raised eyebrows. "You used to fuck my professor."

"Apparently," Chris cleared his throat in embarrassment. "I doubt there are too many Peter Hales who are werewolves and lawyers. Peter always… he did always talk about wanting to be a lawyer."

Stiles grunted startled and hit his head back against Chris' shoulder. "...At least you apparently always had good taste, Christopher. That man is smoking hot."

Chris sputtered out a laugh, burying his face in Stiles' neck and kissing it softly.

Peter had only taken on this teaching job as a favor for his alma mater and the professor who had fundamentally shaped him as a lawyer. He hated teaching. So much stupidity crammed into one room. There was only one shining beacon this semester and his name was Mieczysław Stilinski. The boy was bright, clever, witty, actually knew what he was talking about and he was easy on the eyes too. Which didn't factor into him as a student, but did make teaching more pleasant for Peter. Not that he would ever do anything with a student, that was a scandal he didn't need considering the name he'd made for himself as a lawyer. But he could still enjoy the view.

"What can I do for you, Mister Stilinski?"

Peter looked up from where he was slowly packing his things up, well aware of the pretty boy who had lingered behind after everyone else had left. The boy's eyes had been on him even more intensely than usually and Peter was curious to see what the reason for it was.

"So—o," Stiles walked down to Peter's desk and just perched at the edge. "Turns out you used to date my boyfriend. Which, you are a man of excellent taste, Mister Hale."

Peter raised one eyebrow. "I highly doubt that. I didn't even date frat boys when I was in college."

Stiles snorted out a laugh. "I don't date frat boys either. Just because they keep hitting on me doesn't meant I would date them. No, my boyfriend's name is Christopher Argent."

His entire body tensed at that name and his eyes narrowed at his student. Christopher was the one who'd gotten away. The one Peter thought would be his mate forever. And then the man's hunter family had torn them apart, his father shipping Christopher off and the next time he'd seen the man… the next time he'd seen the man, he had been married to a woman and had a daughter, playing perfect family and acting like he didn't even know Peter. Anger overtook him and he turned his gaze away from Stiles, more viciously stuffing his things into his bag. A hand grabbed his wrist.

"He didn't meant to hurt you," Stiles' voice was so soft and gentle. "You must know that."

"Oh, must I?" Peter snarled. "There are things you do not know about your boyfriend-"

"Oh, I know he used to be a werewolf hunter," Stiles cocked an eyebrow. "It's how we met. Threatened my life when his headcase of a sister came back to Beacon Hills to terrorize it. But you should know what a vicious, cruel and manipulative man Chris' father was – yes, was, we killed him some years ago. He brainwashed Chris, forced him… It doesn't excuse things, but… I talked to Chris. He still feels so guilty about it and I wanted you to know. I just… I know he carried this guilt for many years, we talked about it so often in the past… Talk to him? Just… talk. Nothing more."

Peter's jaw set as he stared his student down with a vicious glare.

So the first confrontation between Chris and Peter was pretty much a shit-show of yells, growls and accusations. There was also a lot of red-flashed eyes, which had been a surprise to both Stiles and Chris. The second meeting went not much better. The third was finally without threats. The fourth quiet. By the fifth, they were talking like civilized people. And somehow, over the following months, Peter became a fixed presence in Stiles' life even outside the classroom. In his own home, eating dinner with them, talking and laughing and generally being gorgeous and charming.

It didn't take long for Stiles' crush on an objectively hot professor to turn into genuine love and it got even worse after they met the Hale Pack – Peter's nieces and nephew, with whom he had moved to New York after the fire, as well as the turned betas Boyd, Erica and Isaac. Stiles loved them all, felt at home with them in a way he hadn't in so, so long. They were the pack he'd been craving.

By the time his graduation rolled around, the entire Hale Pack came to cheer embarrassingly loudly for him as he accepted his diploma and Peter paid for an elaborate meal at a ridiculously expensive restaurant for them all. There was no question where he'd go, now that school was over. Peter had spent nearly the entire semester trying to lure Stiles into the man's law firm, even before the werewolf secret reveal. There was just one thing he needed to do before he could work for Peter.

He'd talked to Chris about it in great detail and had been beyond relieved to hear that Chris still had feelings for Peter, which had startled the hunter adorably much. Stiles took a deep breath as he set the very romantic candlelight dinner for three, hearing Chris lead Peter inside.

"Am I crashing date night?" Peter chuckled amused as he saw the set-up.

"We—ell," Stiles whirled around with a bright grin. "You wouldn't be crashing if you were, you know, part of it. If you. Uh. If you would want that, that is."

"So smooth, baby," Chris sighed and kissed his cheek before turning toward Peter. "Reconciling with you… made me… realize that I never quite stopped loving you, Peter. And despite your personality, you somehow managed to make this one fall for you too. But before he starts working for your law firm, we wanted these feelings… out in the open. For you to decide if you want us."

Peter pursed his lips but remained quiet and Stiles tried to tell himself that that was a good thing. He was considering it. Not just flat-out saying no. He leaned heavier into Chris for support.

"You wouldn't be working under me anyway," Peter offered. "I may be the named partner, but I never interact with the new kids who still have to get their on-the-job experience in. Usually, because I have no mind for the inexperienced. But in your case… I would do it for a different reason. If that is really what you are… offering."

He furrowed his brows and looked so unsure and Stiles absolutely could not stand that so he just leaped forward into the wolf's arms, being caught by the Alpha and pulled close enough so he could kiss Peter. Damn if he hadn't thought about what that'd feel like for months.

"Well, that's even hotter than I imagined," Chris commented, voice dark.

"My, how often did you imagine it, Christopher?" Peter teased with a smirk. "And what else did you imagine…? What have you imagined me doing with your boy, mh?"

"Hi, yeah, I am right here," Stiles swatted at Peter's chest in irritation.

"Yes, darling?" Peter nuzzled his neck. "What have you been imagining, mh?"

"Oh no, I did not spend three hours cooking dinner to get derailed by getting railed. Food."

He lightly shoved Peter toward the table and motioned for Chris to join them. Besides, a first date was not for talking about all the filth in his and Chris' heads. They'd hopefully have many, many more opportunities to talk about that and reenact it too.

~*~ The End ~*~

Author's note: So... for the first time, possibly ever, I've decided to have four fixed posting days a week, unsure how long that will be sustainable but giving it a try anyway. Introducing a fully new concept: Friday Ficlets. Because I have SO MANY Teen Wolf ideas that splitting my oneshots into the longer Wednesday Oneshots and the ~5k Mischief Mondays still leaves me so backlogged. So, between the long oneshots and the mid-sized oneshots, I am filtering out stories that have the potential to just be really short, up to 2k, and I'll put those up Fridays. Let's see how this works out for me!
