Is it wrong to become a Psycho in a dungeon

Chapter 1

Bell Goes Psycho

Long ago, the gods descended into the world of their children, the humans, in hopes of finding excitement and inspiration, and so they decided that they would reside here, in the lower world for the rest of eternity, and sealing away their divine powers. Living a modest life surrounded by all the discomforts of human inconvenience, with the only thing they could offer in their earthly state was 'the blessing', the power to fight and defeat monsters, becoming Familia, or a direct relation to the gods. The world as a whole knows this, from the smallest of villages to far reaching empires, ever man, woman, and child knows that the gods came down and the best way to defeat monsters is to join a Familia, and most choose only the strongest of Familias to join.

However sometimes a story is not about the large families or the small, just about one young man that was currently running for his life from a minotaur that was running lose in the dungeon that he goes to every day, seriously this guy was running fast from that thing. The young man running is named Bell Cranel, a white haired and red eyed young man, often compared to a rabbit based on his appearance, he prefers to wear lightweight armor and wears a hip-length brown coat with a small black patch on the right side above his chest. He also has a long-sleeved black shirt underneath, with black pants, a beige belt with a silver buckle, and brown shin-high boots, with his weapons being usually a pair of knives or sometimes a short sword when he can swing it with funds, but it breaks easy.

As stated he is currently running for his life from a minotaur, rolling out of the way as the monster crashes against the wall of the dungeon before running again, but this time into a dead end, tired and being afraid he fell to his butt and tried to protect his head. The young man is trying to survive, but he is weak, so weak in fact that it is hard for him to make it far in the dungeon and get past low-ranking monsters, there was no way to fight against or defeat a minotaur from the 17th floor, all the way up to the 5th. Hell, he shouldn't even be on the 5th floor because he could barely get there, and only came here out of curiosity for what will lie ahead, but now that this is happening, he knew he was in way over his head and will probably die down here from this minotaur.

As Bell was cowering in fear, the monster was over him and hitting the wall, to scare him more before a slash was heard and the monster was on its knees, it looked back and turned to charge for who cut it to bring it to it's knees, before the minotaur's left arm was sliced through. Then when the monster made to go for a right punch its side was sliced open, it was then a glimpse of who saved Bell was seen, a blonde haired, gold eyed woman in white armor brandishing a blue handled short sword was seen. Then as it was forced to back into the Bell, a stab and slice cut it from stomach to collar, drenching the young man she saved in blood before the minotaur fell and turned to dust as all monsters do, but Bell was paying little attention to that as the girl sheathed her sword.

"You there," she began to walk closer to the one that she saved, not caring that he was smothered with blood because of her, "are you all right," she asked with a hand resting on her sword hilt, and yet our young friend saying nothing but looking at who was asking.

For Bell was transfixed by her, not able to take her eyes off of her, for she was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen, not even acknowledging that his feelings might be just because she saved him, no he was just so focused on her and her strength and beauty that he couldn't look away. After a while he began to panic at what she must think of him staring after saving him that he began to run, out of two reasons was he running, one was due to embarrassment and the other was to head to the guild, he needed to know who she was so that one day he could talk to her. He didn't care that he was currently covered in monster blood, he just couldn't stop, he was driven to better himself now, he was forced to start doing better and see to it that he could stand with her, he had to get even stronger now, it wasn't a choice of if he could now, because he will.

Next night

Okay, so things did not go as he hoped at all, his progress got a huge push but at the same time he got sent back so many steps he might not ever recover and be forced into fleeing from the Loki Familia just a few hours ago and head to the dungeon so that he could fight some more. Bell's last couple of days was not what he wanted, finding out that Ais Wallenstein, the girl that saved him, was such a high leveled member of the Loki Familia was more of a letdown since it meant he had that much more of a long way to go before he could stand beside her. Yet he wasn't discouraged yet and instead chose to keep working at it, then just this morning he ran into Syr Flova and after another round in the dungeon and a check in with his goddess, where he learned that his stats had a huge increase, he went to a restaurant. It was there that he overheard a conversation at the Loki table, which included his crush, and heard a guy talk about the incident that forced him to be seen as a weak coward, the guy talking actually tried to goad miss Ais into admitting that Bell was not anywhere close to her league. So he ran away again and didn't look back, he ran straight to the dungeon and began to kill, began fighting monsters he shouldn't be fighting right now but he didn't care, all he wanted was a way to fight and take out his anger on something that wouldn't get him into trouble on.

He began to kill one monster after another, making it down to where Frog Shooters were, floor 6, and he was doing surprisingly well so far, cutting one in half while another was coming up behind him about to hit him with his tongue, he spun quickly and stabbed it in the head. Another came him again and he got trapped in its tongue that wrapped around his waste to force him into its mouth, so Bell stabbed it from the inside up through its eyeball so that it would explode and release him from its mouth, he laid there for a second out of breath to think. 'I was so stupid,' staring up to the ceiling, 'how could I expect to get something I don't deserve, I have to do this, I have to,' he began to stand so that he could face what would come next, 'I have to overcome everything that confronts me, or I will never be able to stand next to her.'

Up from the ground then came tall shadowy figures with a single red glowing eye, long arms with three razor sharp claws, more and more came from the ground as he brought up his knife in preparation for the long fight ahead, these were War Shadows, the strongest of the 6th floor. As they attacked he moved in and began to slice at them, they kept coming but he kept slicing, going deeper and deeper into the floor as more appeared, it wasn't long until a few got lucky hits and slashed at his back and down his left arm, but he still moved and still fought. As he fought more monsters appeared and soon a Frog Shooter came up behind and smacked its tongue at Bell and forced him up against the wall, cornering him with both War Shadows and Frog Shooters all around him, suddenly a War Shadow charged him from the left and stabbed him. Using its claws it stabbed him in the stomach and pushed him back into the wall as it stabbed, causing him to scream out in pain, "AAAHHH," with the wall behind him forming cracks in it as the shadow pushed into Bell's flesh harder and with more intensity.

Before long the wall broke and both him and the War Shadow fell through, a bright silver light shown through and all the shadows evaporated, the Frog Shooters cowered back for a moment while Bell trembled with agony, from his stomach and now from a splitting headache he got. He could feel it, something was entering his mind, it felt like he was learning new things, but forcefully, like new knowledge on how to fight, controlling… was that magic or… energy, either way he felt his mind burn and strain from the feeling from the information entering. As it increased in intensity he felt something else both snap and stabilize into something he couldn't quite make out, and then there was a clicking noise in his mind, and when he opened his eyes he found what the clicking was, his vision cycling through different forms of sight. It became too much and so he closed his eyes, but his hearing got much better too, he was hearing the War Shadows and Frog Shooters, and was that a Hellhound howling somewhere, there was just so much noise to process now, and his eyes were still cycling through under his eyelids.

As Bell was covering his ears in agony, keeping his eyes shut tightly, and suffering through a huge headache, he was missing what was happening to most of his body, it was growing, not just in size but growing as if it was aging to be in a physical prime, the peak of the human body. His legs growing longer, his arms extending and bulging, his torso growing to accept bigger lungs and stronger heart, his abdomen tightening and growing in density of thick fibers that gave him six pack abs, he entire muscle system becoming thick cords of highly dense muscle fibers. When it was done you would think he had the body of an experienced adventurer, one who put in hard work and went through a tough time to reach his desired body and strength, the added height on him brought his total height to 180cm tall from his previous 165cm height.

Finally the pain in his head was starting to die down and he could think for a bit, he felt as if his head would still split in two at any moment, and his clothes felt both tight and ready to fall off from sudden tears that appeared out of nowhere, but all he could do now was shake his head. His body felt both heavier and lighter at the same time, like he packed on a few pounds of muscle but also got strong enough that it didn't matter, especially as the pain died down even more so that he could see, thankfully with stable eyesight, that monsters were backing up a bit. Then he made a mistake and blinked, one moment he was right in front of monsters and the next he blinked his eyes and was behind said monsters now, in a panic Bell looked around and saw his new position just as the monsters turned back to look at him, but he couldn't waste time.

With a quick grip on his knife from it's holster he brought it out and sliced at the War Shadows one by one until one got lucky and tried to swipe for his neck, but something was wrong, these monsters weren't like before, they were slower now, so Bell just caught the strike bare handed. The shadow paused at that, a regular human with just a level one goddess's blessing just stopped its strike with no weapon, this gave said human enough time to slit the monster's throat in a cold, almost detached move, and watched as the War Shadow lowered to the floor before dissolving. Bell looked up with a hint of excitement in his eyes and as a shadow and a Frog Shooter came from either side of him to attack, he avoided it by ducking out of the way, no, his knees did not bend like ducking out of the way, it was more like his height lowered, he looked down and paled. He was sinking through the floor like it was quicksand, but it was rippling like water, in the slow sink he found himself in, he panicked and tried to pry himself up and thankfully the ground solidified and he pulled up, only for the monsters to start attacking again, "fuck my luck!"

Ignoring the colorful language he just used about himself, Bell shifted his body and began attacking the War Shadows more aggressively, dodging the tongues and bodies of the Frog Shooters more with more agility, everything he was doing, he was doing faster and much harder. On instinct one shadow got behind him and he turned in one swift motion and literally kicked the monster in the head hard enough to snap its head back and in a sickening way break its neck, but he didn't have enough time to process as he then turned and delivered a left high kick to another. This time the monster barely had enough time to put its hand up to block before the kick connected and the War Shadow was forced back as another came in to swipe at Bell, but he blocked it with his right forearm before using the knife in that hand to stab it in the head, killing it. A Frog Shooter came up to wrap its tongue around him, but he quickly turned around and stabbed the tongue into the ground before running along the length of the tongue and reached into its mouth and into where its eye is before pulling out said eye through its mouth.

More and more kept coming for him in a row and the only thing that Bell could feel right now was excitement because of how he felt and how much more skilled and powerful he was, like all vibrations in the air, the quake of the ground beneath him, his blood pumping through him. He could feel it all and knew exactly how to fight these monsters, and not just these, he felt like he could take on so much more now, like all the fights till now couldn't hold a candle to what he could do, the grin that came to him anyone else would describe as manic or even Psychotic. Bell charged at the monsters and instinctually flung out his left hand and lightning shot forth from it as he jumped up, and for the next long while, the only thing anyone could see in the dark dungeon was a single man, hacking and stabbing at shadows, frogs, and before long, everything else.

Morning

After everything, after the long hours of fighting, discovering, and multiple new floors that presented different challenges in different things, Bell began to walk home, he was cut all over, pretty sure one arm was fractured, ankle sprained, cut above his right eye bleeding profusely. There was also a cut along his back that was shallow but hurt like a bitch, his leg that didn't have a sprained ankle was cut along the back from thigh to calf, and one monstrous bastard even knocked the left side of his head against the dungeon wall a few times, making his ears ring. Ah, another one of his discoveries was that his language usage became much more… colorful, he didn't shy away from telling the monsters what he thought of them, and the weaker ones just pissed him off, and when he got out others stopped and stared at him as he was cursing. People on the way home looked at him like was crazy as he was limping home, he had a stash of healing potions there and that would heal him right up, not to mention quite a bit of magic stones too, took a bit longer to collect them but he was sure they needed the cash anyway.

As he came into view of the church, Hestia saw him from her position leaning against the door, she paused for a moment to take in the sight of him, the changes he went through, her face actually made him laugh as he got near her, "hahahahaha, can you be any more obvious at this?" In retrospect, the idea that his goddess loved him finally came to him, not just the love a goddess should have for one of her children, but romantic love, he was flattered, and would consider it, if he didn't have this nagging feeling in the back of his mind that it would lead to more trouble.

His goddess gave a pout at his laugh, her cheeks burning an even brighter red than before as he laughed even more, "Bell, what happened to you, you're acting both cocky and like you aren't hurt all over," she suddenly gasped and grabbed a hold of him to guide him inside the church.

"To cut a long story short," Bell began as he limped his way inside and sat on a broken pew, "last night I heard some guy in the Loki Familia talking smack about me and instead of saying something back I went to the dungeon alone and underequipped, with just my knife on me." He looked up and saw that Hestia was listening intently to his story, "during the long fight, I made it to the sixth floor, fought both War Shadows and Frog Shooters, then one stabbed me right through the stomach and sent me crashing into the wall breaking it to find a hidden chamber." His goddess gasped at this news as she rushed to check his stomach, "as you can tell there isn't a scratch on me there, whatever happened made my mind and body grow to my prime, I've never felt this strong, this fast, this smart, my senses are sharper, reflexes automatic."

"This is both great and dangerous," Hestia commented as she, very reluctantly by the looks of it, pulled her hand away as she tried to help him up so they could head down to their room, "it looks like whatever happened gave you a boost, but lets get you healed up first so that we can see."

"Thanks," he said as they entered the secret chamber of the church, he got to the bed and quickly ripped off the remaining of his top and laid down on his back, "I need to see for myself what I've jumped too, and what is happening to my stats and skills, I know I now have one after all that."

Hestia just looked down as she made him drink healing potions first to heal his injuries before getting on top of him, she pricked her finger to have the drop land on his back so that she could get his stats, the familiar glow of the blessing sprung forth as she saw what he had done. Then there was no movement, he stayed in that position for a moment or two as he felt her on his back, she probably got distracted by his back muscles or something, when he went to look back to her, with his neck stretching farther then what it should, she shouted, "WHAT THE HELL BELL."

He winced at the shout, it didn't turn him def, but damn was that loud, "you're gonna have to explain it since I don't know what you're screaming about," he said calmy as she shook as she got the paper and transcribed his stats to him, a bit roughly too, like she was angry at him for it.

"You're stats are way higher than what they should be, I'm not talking about something unnoticeable either, yesterday your stats were 120, 42, 139, 225, and 0," she told him as she handed him his paper so that he could look at it, "but now you have more and… a skill too."

SKILL:
Psycho- The mind and body is turned into a living weapon, able to do and comprehend things no other being can, the peak in both physical strength and mental capacity, and all the _. powers that go along with the holder of this skill including but not limited: BLINKING, TELEPORTATION, SINKING, BINDING FORGING, LIGHTNING SUMMONING, ENHANCED SENSES, ENHANCED SIGHT FORMS, PSYCHIC COMMUNICATION WITH OTHERS OF THE SKILL, MONSTERIFICATION, GIGANTIFICATION, PSYCHO ARMOR, _.

After that it had a marking like it was trying to say something but was smudged or faded, but he just had to think about what he wanted and soon his sight turned into something that automatically translated the markings into something, "goddess, what does Liaris Freese mean?"

Hestia stopped, she robotically turned her head before snatching the paper from him, "I thought I smudged it out," after a moment she grew more tense, "it's smudged out, but then how did you know what it said," she looked back at him with a shocked expression as he raised an eyebrow.

"Enhanced sight forms, apparently I can… extrapolate information from smudges and indentations left from goddesses that are not sharing my own skills with me," Bell leveled a gaze at her, and she bowed her head in both shame and sadness at being found out, especially now.

It took her a moment to answer, clearly debating on whether or not to tell him or not, "it's a skill that causes a rapid increase in growth rate as long as you maintain your feelings, and it accelerates depending on how strong they are," Hestia finally told him with her eyes full of tears.

"OH, so I could have gotten an even bigger increase if I was still head over heels for Ais, that would have been convenient to not know since my feelings now will have this hanging over their head," Bell reasoned out clearly with a hand on his chin as Hestia stopped crying due to shock.

"What," she looked up at him like she couldn't understand him, "wait, aren't you still in love with Ais, and if you're not and this growth isn't because of Liaris Freese, how did you get so strong so quick this time around," she asked him a small glimmer of hope that her love was getting to him.

"Well, because of whatever happened to me that let me get Psycho, I just can't feel the same way about Ais as before, in fact at the moment the fact that she won't show any emotion and didn't speak up for me at the inn last night was kind of a turn off," he replied with total honesty. "It might have to do with my newly advanced mind giving me more emotional growth allowing me to see things more clearly, I do feel more confidant in my skin and even while hurt my mind didn't slow or work against me, I may have subconsciously fallen out of love for Ais."

Hestia couldn't believe her luck, all that was needed now was for him to realize that she was the one for him and then they can be one happy family, but now onto other important things, "so, can you tell what these other blank spaces are, I couldn't make heads or tails out of it when I read it."

Bell looked and found that he couldn't no matter what vision cycle he went through, even something his mind was telling him was infrared couldn't, that sounded interesting, "sorry goddess but I can't, though I do think that they might just be unimportant right now."

Hestia looked down in defeat at that, "you're probably right, maybe they'll reveal themselves when the time is right," she felt that he was getting up now that his wounds are all healed up, he began to walk off before she grabbed his pants, "promise me Bell, promise not to leave me alone."

Bell looked down at his goddess, now looked way down so that he could see her, in truth he knew why he fell out of love with Ais, why currently the only relationship him and Hestia can ever have is just goddess and child in her familia, because someone more suited was waiting for him. Yet at this moment he knew he couldn't tell her that, not because of anything else but one simple truth, she was just like a little sister to him, and for some reason the thought of him hurting her feelings at this moment was just too hard to do, "I promise Hestia, I won't leave you alone."

She looked up when he reached down to place a hand on her head and pet her like she was a kid, but the smile he gave off was too sincere in her eyes that she just hugged his waste as she cried a bit at how strong he had become, and with hope that one day her Bell would be just hers. She stayed like that for a bit before she suddenly jumped up and grinned, "by the way I have an announcement, I'll be gone for the next two or three days," she announced with a smile and goofy grin on her face, Bell just sighed as he knew this would be troublesome.

"Very well, I'll be gone myself, I have a lot of magic stones to turn in and I know I need new clothes, what with my growth spurt and all," he just smiled at his comment, and they began to get ready for the day and whatever was going to be going on for the next few days as well.

Later

The Hostess of Fertility, a clear sign that it had to do with one of the goddesses of fertility, but for some reason many just thought it was just another name, it was amazing what his mind could piece together now that it was boosted by the new skill that he had as a basis for his new power. Of course because of what he did the night before, he couldn't just come in and not expect the owner, Mama Mia, to not glare at him and just about kick him out on sheer principle alone, though thankfully he was aware of that and brought a very good incentive with him to help. "I'm very sorry about the dine and dash I did as my emotions were pretty high at the time, but I'm better now," Bell flashed a great smile that other passers by and two waitresses swooned over, "and to help I brought the money to cover my tab and plenty extra for the trouble."

Mama Mia wasn't too fooled by it but also knew the rule that money talks, "well I do appreciate you goin' through so much trouble to bring me this, because if you hadn't, I would've had to come find your ass and collect on the payment myself," she took the offered money without trouble.

Bell kept that smile as the owner of the place turned and walked off and Syr came by his side, "you now don't have to apologize anymore Bell, and I'm glad you stopped by, it's nice to see you again," she flashed him a beautiful smile, with a blush thanks to his own smile and appearance. "Also how did you change from what you were before to this very dashing man I see before me," Syr's blush deepened as she realized what she just said, "not that you have to tell me, but this change is unheard of, is this what happens when someone levels up or is it something else?"

"Nothing of the sort, I haven't leveled up yet, this is cause of a new skill I got while in the dungeon last night after I ran off," he showed off his right bicep and she looked about ready to die, he grinned at her reaction, yet knew that the grin didn't fully reach his eyes from it. For him it was clear that Syr was different than the others, with his enhanced sight forms came an energy detector of some sort, giving him a clue at the different types of energy, from those that mainly use fire, to wind, to those that didn't have any energy or magic type at all, he saw it. Bell could even see the different energies of a god or goddess, he could tell that was what he sensed because he saw it in both Hestia and Ganesha when he saw the god outside shouting out, and others as he walked by and noticed them, it was quite the site to see if you could. So he knew that Syr was now a goddess, he didn't know which one yet but considering that the name of the place is Hostess of Fertility, he guessed a fertility goddess, and he was willing to bet that Mama Mia knew who she was too, a goddess hidden in plain sight, as a waitress.

"So, I take it you're off to the dungeon today," Syr asked him after his previous statement, and yes he was more than likely going there, she reached behind her and pulled out a packed lunch, "take this, it's lunch," she said as she held out the lunch for him to take, with a smile on bright.

"I take your offering with pleasure Syr," Bell said gratefully as he took the offered lunch, he wondered if a goddess knew how to cook, he knew Hestia did since she had a food cart, but also knew that it was a skill she needed to learn since it was that or starve from the lack of money.

Syr giggled as she ran back to the kitchen after handing him the offered lunch, and he knew that if he didn't have Psycho than he would just stand there like an idiot barely accepting the offered lunch, "you're lucky Syr likes you, and you should know kid, the only reason me and the others…"

"Forgave my little indiscretion was because she begged and begged you to," he finished for Mia as she gave a hum at being interrupted and that he knew, "I figured she did since you didn't throw me out as soon as my feet crossed the threshold or when you saw me, that was nice of her."

"You listen here, adventurers don't get too far in life tryin' to act all cool and crap, focus on staying alive, do that before you start gettin' fancy," Mamma Mia gave her own advice, no doubt from her own past as an adventurer for the goddess she currently had working and hiding here. "Even if an adventurer looks weak and people make fun of 'em, it's the ones who come back in one piece that are the real winners, so be careful," she gave his should a pat with her right hand, "ah, I won't nag ya too much, but if you go and get yourself killed I'll be very disappointed."

"I won't disappoint you than, nor will I disappoint her," he nodded to the back where Syr was, "I'll come back alive, maybe next time you see me I'll even show off some new scars," Bell turned and began to walk off, "and I'll be sure to keep you guys informed of my growth as well."

Mami Mia grinned with a glint in her eye like she might know what he's talking about, "cheeky brat," she commented before she saw those that were looking on, "what the hell are you staring at, GET BACK TO WORK," she yelled out as she saw the faintest shimmer of silver as Bell left.

With Bell he walked off and decided to first go to the guild and see what their reaction would be to his new appearance, that'll give him some entertainment, "huh, doing something for pure entertainment, the thought feels weird but also possibly really fun," he began his walk there. On the way he passed by many others that looked at him in shock and awe at his new appearance, and when he passed by a window, he got a look at his reflection and knew why, since he still wasn't used to who looked back at him, but hopefully this wasn't going to be a problem. He had on black pants, black boots, and a black belt, all seemed to be made to fit, then came his shirt that was a long-sleeved black shirt that was made to fit all around him, showing off muscles instead of being baggy, but was still easy to move around in too, still made to fit. That was literal, turns out that part of his new skill that he could do was change his clothing, and it was real, honest to gods clothing that just materialized in a glimmer of light when he brought his hand to his face and envisioned himself in clothes to hide his new form, and there you go.

"That sure was convenient, though I wonder what would happen to them if I get knocked out or fall asleep," he wondered as he came to the front of the guild, the place one must go to if they want magic stones and material traded into straight up money for the work that they've done. "Now it's time to see what reaction I can get from Eina Tulle, should be fun," he grinned as he also noticed another of his ticks that was lost, he didn't refer to people as miss or mister anymore, when Hestia noticed and asked he said that something in him just won't let him.

Now Bell was walking up to the counter and saw that it was Misha Flott working, a pinkette that was more about play than work, but it was a good contrast to Eina's serious and hard working demeaner, luckily for him that meant Eina wasn't too far away from her at the moment. "Hello Misha, would you mind getting Eina for me, gotta let her know about my new skill and update to my stats," the girl looked up and saw who it was and how big they got in just a few days, so she fainted with a yelp that was heard by the other workers, including who he wanted.

"What the, Bell, WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU NOW," Eina all but screamed at him once she realized that again he got into trouble, she walked right up to him and grabbed his hand and led him towards the back rooms for a private chat like they were having a lesson about the floors again.

When they got there, she gave him a glare as he just sat down at his seat and watched her glare before grinning, "man, do I have a lot to tell you about," and so he did, Bell told her all he knew and what he discovered going down into the dungeon and what it did to him and for him. He even told her all that his other skill entails, but since all his feelings changed with emotional, mental, and physical maturity changed that he no longer had that to fall back on, but he knew he had something else he felt just as strongly about, "and that's about it, and here's my proof."

He handed her the paper that he got from his status update, and she wordlessly took it so that she could see for herself what he could now do, obviously it was a shock because she started to hyperventilate and sputter nonsense from what she saw on his status sheet, it was a climb. "Your lowest jump up was almost 200 points, with the highest being 477 points, what the hell Bell," she slammed her hands on the table and glared at him as if he was the one at fault personally, "this is an almost impossible feet, and what are these blank spaces on your skill all about?"

"Ah, that is because we think I haven't gotten them yet, important enough to be a part of the first stage of the skill but not enough to know about it yet, but I think it might be a weapon because I keep thinking of a weapon that I could use instead of a knife," he laughed a bit at the thought. Before Hestia left she asked him what he wanted and he sketched her a picture, she looked at him like he was crazy but said alright, and when he handed Eina the drawing she looked at him with the same look, "you can check my back if you don't believe the paper," he offered her.

"I will have to verify so if you please," she straightened her glasses as she said that but couldn't hide her blush from the prospect of seeing his new back, Bell wanted to sigh at how all the women around him were the same, oh well, it wasn't like he didn't have other thoughts too. When Eina stepped over to his back he lifted his shirt and she began to examine it closely, "it seems you're telling the truth about everything based on your back, and with these stats just the sixth floor would be too low and not provide you with good experience, I'll go down to 8th floor."

"Eina, you know as well as I do that with my highest skill being a B class I can't get any work done unless it's deeper, rules say I can go to the 12th floor now, so I have to go there for a challenge now," Bell told her, and if he was right his skill puts him at a stronger standing.

"Fine, I'm willing to go as low as 10th, and that's it, because your experience isn't up to a stable level yet, and that lack of experience is the only reason I won't let you go to the full 12th floor," Eina offered her counter to that problem, and a reasonable argument to back it up too.

Bell was reasonable as well, but he needed a challenge soon, "fine, but only for a week until I can get through all 10 floors without a scratch on me, then I can go the full 12 with no complaints until something truly bad happens," he offered afterwards so that he could get more work in.

Eina thought about it, his growth rate has just been extraordinary, beyond what many should be able to do, and his growth rate was not slowing down, so the likelihood that he would conquer those floors is just as likely as anything else, "fine, that seems like the best I can get out of you."

"Thank you," Bell put his shirt back on and began to prepare for his stent in the dungeon now that the matter with the guild was settled, "oh yeah, I also need to exchange the magic stones I got from last night, I got quite a bit," maybe it was enough for a short sword or a longer dagger. He left his trainer muttering to herself that he's obsessed with dungeon crawling or something, he paid little mind as he made his way to the exchange booth and took out his magic stones, he was in the dungeon all night and so he collected a various list of monsters from the floors. Kobold was 30 all-together, 15 from floors 1-4 and 8 from floor 8 and 7 from floor 9, he had already been to floor 10 last night but didn't kill any monsters there and just saw what there was, but the other guild faculty didn't need to know that or for just how long he was truly fighting. So on to the list, after the Kobold was the Goblins, they were the same numbers as the Kobold though, next was the Jack Bird: 20 in total of those, then came the Dungeon Lizards: 18 in total, 9 from floor 2 and 9 from floor 4, Frog Shooter: 25, War Shadow: 23, Killer Ant: 18, Purple Moth: 17. He killed 15 Needle Rabbits, all from floor 8, Blue Papilio: 16, making the total creatures that he got magic stones from to be 212 magic stones in total, the teller at the exchange station was shocked he got so much in one night, but in the end he got his Valis, 2 million was his prize.

He thanked the teller and walked out like he wasn't just paid more money than he knew what to do with, for fuck's sake, the village he grew up in didn't have this much he didn't think, so he had a fortune on him, enough to buy a good short sword for dungeon diving and not worry much. So that is what he did, bought a good length short sword and saved the rest for extra rations since he was going in deep today and would likely be a while, he planned to completely ignore Eina and go on down to the 12th floor, huh, he was never this brazen on disregarding opinions. Either way he was going down, with a good and sturdy short sword and plenty of rations and healing potions, he planned to stay as long as he could until the day Hestia was due to return, and for some reason, he felt like it wouldn't be too difficult to do so now that he has the Psycho skill.

As he made his way down, with more and more monsters appearing, he couldn't help but grin as he pulled the sword from his side sheath, it was a sword with a simple design, nothing outwardly special about it, but it was how he was going to use it that really would bring some attention. He brought it up and got in a ready stance with his feet spread apart, his right sword arm bent at a right angle and his sword pointed upwards, his left arm coming up with the back of his hand resting on his right elbow, palm outfacing the incoming monsters charging at him. Bell grinned as he flung out his left hand and began running for the monster, his sword arm coming up to level with his eyes as he charged, he put the energy he had into his legs and jumped up almost to the ceiling before falling into the horde of monsters charging for him.

Days later

Bell was walking down the road, not really looking beat up at all, a few scrapes and cuts that looked to have already healed up from his dungeon diving, "safe to assume I conquered the upper floors, possibly all the way down to the beginning of the middle floors to be honest with myself." He reached down to the 12th floor without much issue, he fought off 5 Orcs easily at first, then the Orcs and the Imps came at the same time, then Bad Bats were thrown into the mix, had some Hard Armored and Infant Dragon coming for him and one point as well, those were annoying. In the end there was only one monster that didn't show itself to him on the 12th floor, the Silverback, a gorilla monster that he was quite sure he could beat if it ever came to it, but the fight would have still been fun to fight, though he was sure he'd get an earful from Eina.

"Not that I particularly care if I do or not," and that was true, some time between the first and second day he was there, his mind snapped into place something else, he wasn't beholden to anyone really, all he had to care about was one thing, himself and his Familia, not the guild. So if he wanted to go down deeper, he would, it didn't matter to him if the guild forbade it or not, what happens in the dungeon is what happens, going to them for anything other than the magic stone exchange was just a formality as far as he was concerned, and that's the way it'll stay.

As he was walking down a call caught his attention, "hey," he turned and saw one of the waitresses of the Hostess of Fertility calling for him, "I've been waiting for you, nyaa, I need a favor," he walked up to her and nodded his head and she handed him a burse of all things. "Nyanyway, could you like, y'know, take this perrrse to that silly Syr purrson, nya," the way she spoke made him want to strangle her and rip out her voice box, he thinks her name might be Anya or something, but the talk just makes him want to strangle her more than help her out.

"Can you say that without the cat speech and just talk like a normal person since I'm not a customer right now and don't care if you're trying to be cute," Bell commented as he was tired already of that pattern, "but I get the gist of it, where is Syr so that I can give her the purse?"

"You actually understood her batter than I thought you would," Ryu, an elf that also worked at the restaurant said as she brought laundry around from the back, "she went to Monsterphilia after taking the day off from work, but she left in such a hurry that she forgot her purse here though."

"Oh yeah, some kind of festival is happening today, but that's cool, I'll take it to her," he turned and left them talk amongst themselves while he went off, he wanted to try something and so switched his eyes and sent out to find the energy signature of the goddess posing as a maid. The attempt to hide her energy was actually there, but he could already see her trail, basically just like footprints at this point, residue of the energy that she held, so he looked ahead and followed the footprints until he found out where it was that she walked off to. Bell even turned his vision to only see her trail as in color and left everything as black and white, neat little trick he learned on the 7th floor when one monster ran away from him to cower and hide, he didn't let it hide for long, so he made sure to be able to remember how he did that.

Eventually he was led to a building, a building that on the second floor, overlooking the street, sat two people with another person behind one of the two, one was Loki, with Ais being right behind her, and the other was the one that he saw Syr's energy coming off of, they were talking. What they were talking about was something he thought that he might as well listen in on since he has the time and it's not like information was never something that him and Hestia couldn't use, so he sharpened his hearing to pick up only what the people in the building were saying.

"So this kid you're after, what's he like exactly anyway," Loki asked her guest, so Syr was looking for information on someone, more than likely him seeing as though Syr was talking with Loki instead of just about anyone else and Loki is her rival in terms of top Familia in Orario.

"If you had asked me before, I would have given you something like weak, unreliable, and easy crier, pretty and had a transparent aura, but now he is much stronger than what he should be, smarter too, and while still pretty and a transparent aura, the transparency has a darker tone." Syr told Loki, who gained a very interested expression, "his color is still one like I've never seen before, even finding him was quite the coincidence, he vanished from my sight almost as quickly as he appeared," awe, so it was him they were talking about, so might as well get done with it.

Bell took out some spare paper he had and wrote on it before wrapping the purse in the paper and with a tossing motion, made it land on the table with a thud, Ais went on high alert and placed a hand on her sword while Loki jumped up as well, and Syr hid her head in her cloak. Loki finally reached for the object and unwrapped the purse, "the hell, why was a purse thrown," but he could see the surprise in the body language of Syr, and before Loki could read it, snatched the paper from her hands to read herself, "hey, that could have been mine you know."

Syr stared at the letter wide eyed as she read, 'hey Syr, don't know which goddess you are or why you're posing as a waitress, but I don't really care, Anya asked me to give you back your purse since you left it at the restaurant, and if you were wondering, tracked you with my eyes.' Syr looked like she couldn't tell what emotion that she wanted to express, or what she was feeling, from his enhanced vision she looked both excited and angry, the anger at maybe being found out so quickly while the excitement could have been that he was more fun to play with.

Bell began to walk away from the group casually as more people passed by and allowed him to go by unnoticed by a few and still noticed by those he wanted; it wasn't really long before he ducked into an alleyway to watch the amount of people that wanted to go watch this Monsterphilia. Wasn't really all that special to him, it was kind of boring if he were to be honest with himself, but he was aware of all that was coming up around him and knew that some people just wanted to have a good time, and this was entertainment for them, so he just decided to go back home. That was when he heard Hestia's voice, "Bell," he turned to his right and saw her just casually strolling up to him, "I'm back," she had nothing but a smile on her face for him, "I missed you so stinkin' much, what about you," she did look quite cute when she smiled at him like that. She had on her normal attire, but there was one addon, it was a wrapping across her torso into the valley of her cleavage, on her back it was clear that she had a box wrapped in it, and it was a long enough box to hold what could be a short sword or what he wanted, but he didn't ask yet.

"I missed you too," he decided to have a little fun before returning to dungeon diving tomorrow, "now that you're back, I can treat you to some of the fruits of my labor," he held out his arm for her to interlock with his, they went out to enjoy some aspects of the festival, one was the crepes.

They decided to enjoy them in the grass in front of the colosseum, "try mine, it's good," she offered her crepe that already had a bite taken out of it, he wasted no time taking a bite of it, and then offered her a bite of his, she took it gladly and got some cream on her cheek from it.

"Aren't you messy," Bell said with a light chuckle as he wiped the cream off her cheek and ate it himself, she froze at his brazenness, "while you were gone and I went into the dungeon, I stayed since you were gone and fought the entire time, came out with new confidence and more power."

"YAY," Hestia exclaimed out loud as she was all smiles and giggles since now her Bell was gonna be more forward and actually start to show her actual affection, and now that he wasn't in love with Ais he would have no reason not to, unless he just didn't want her for a different reason.

They began to walk around the colosseum until they found some good food stands and went to try some, "I originally just came out this way to give a purse to one of the friends I made in town, another friend asked me to take it to them, I had just given it to em when you found me."

"That's fortunate indeed, now we can just spend the entire day with each other," she smiled brightly as she ate some of her food on a stick, then they heard loud screams, oh great, something was happening now, out of one of the entrances to the colosseum came a Silverback.

"Huh, the only monster I didn't fight," Bell commented as he got a good look at the giant ape, it actually wore armor and bracers with broken chains on them, and a devise on its head that acted as a muzzle, earmuffs, and something on its eyes to keep it focused on only one single target.

It began looking all over for something before landing on the faces of Hestia and Bell, "uh, Bell, call me crazy, but is that thing looking at me," his goddess asked him as the ape begun to hang from the colosseum archway, "kinda looks like it is," Bell didn't give it a chance to attack.

He grabbed Hestia's hand and swept her up in a princess carry before running, he couldn't fight that thing with so many people around to see what all he could do, at most everyone would see the way he fights and ask questions he didn't want to answer right now, or at any point. So he began to run, at first down the main street and it was obvious that the thing was chasing them, it jumped and crashed at them several times, "Hestia, why is that thing chasing us, have you seen it before or get into debt with the wrong people," he asked just in case she did that.

"No, never," she called out as the ran in between two stone buildings and out into what was commonly known as Daedalus street, or to others just the slums since this is where all the poor and more unlucky of the people of the town lived in, "isn't this Daedalus street," she asked.

Bell kept on running as the ape took to the rooftops to chase after them, he ran down alleyway after alleyway trying to lead it out into more of an open area so that he'd have room to take it down, whenever they hit the main street of the area, the Silverback jumped down in front. Bell called out, "hold on and keep your eyes shut," and activated his blinking ability and appeared behind the monster as he kept running, not feeling out of breath at all, as he kept chasing they finally reached a semi open area with a door with a latch on it, they didn't have much time. "Okay, I need to know if you want me to keep running or to fight, running we'll bring more damage over time and I can't carry you forever, fight and I should be able to take it with this short sword and my lightning, or you can try to escape while I fight, the choice is yours."

"We both should just keep running, but I know that you can't help but want to fight, am I right," Hestia asked him as she got her bearings, at his nod she pulled something from around her back, the package she had been carrying for all this time, "then you should take this weapon."

There was a roar and a crash behind them that forced Bell to roll and start running again, after a few more twists he came across an area with a fountain, hoping to buy time he stood in front of the fountain for a moment until the Silverback swung his arms and chains at Bell. He stepped to the side and took out his short sword and stabbed it through a link in the chains and into the fountain itself, then he took off running at high speeds away from the monster as it roared out that its prey was getting away from it, this bought the pair a few brief seconds. He used those seconds to run much faster than before and soon landed in front of a wall with a crease in it, a crease for a secret door that he kicked open and went through before closing it, he put Hestia down for a moment to take a breather now that they were safe for a moment.

"You mentioned a weapon before," Bell asked as he leaned against the door for a moment as his goddess brought the box to her front and handed it to him for him to look at, there was clearly something special about the box seeing as she was gone days for her to get the thing.

"Yeah, I brought the weapon you showed me," Hestia unwrapped the box in his hands and opened it, revealing the weapon that he had drawn up for her before she left, "this will be your… no… our weapon, I have a feeling it already has a name but to me it will always be Hestia Blade."

It was beautiful, the handle reminded him of a crossbow handle yet at a more even angle, with a sleek black guard coming from the bottom of the handle and to just before the blade part, over the handle was the resemblance of a pair of wings stretching back, the blade a short sword's. There was something else too, on the handle of the weapon it had what looked to be a trigger, at trigger but no bolts for it, and no extra blades if the blade was the thing fired, however there was no indication that it was the blade that could be fired, it was a silver, black, and yellow sword.

"Let me update your status now that we have a moment," they ran over to cover a bit ways into the alley and into a clearing that can help them too buy some time, "this weapon was specifically made for you so you're gonna be the only one that can use it," she told him as he lifted his shirt. She poked her finger with the 'Hestia Blade' and handed it to him, he reached around and took it with his right hand easily, the moment he did, Bell felt the power coursing through him, he felt as if he knew this blade inside and out, and knew what all he could do, "wow, I was right it does."

SKILL:
Psycho- The mind and body is turned into a living weapon, able to do and comprehend things no other being can, the peak in both physical strength and mental capacity, and all the _. powers that go along with the holder of this skill including but not limited: BLINKING, TELEPORTATION, SINKING, BINDING FORGING, LIGHTNING SUMMONING, ENHANCED SENSES, ENHANCED SIGHT FORMS, PSYCHIC COMMUNICATION WITH OTHERS OF THE SKILL, MONSTERIFICATION, GIGANTIFICATION, PSYCHO ARMOR, PSYCHO SILVERIZER, HARD LIGHT MOVEMENT.

Liaris Freese- Fast growth, the effect lasts as long as user maintains his feelings, and increases depending on how strong they are

"Your total skills had a huge increase again, and now your new weapon according to Psycho is called the Psycho Silverizer," Hestia told him as she finished up the skill update, "I never thought that this could be such a huge growth, your Psycho skill really is quite amazing Bell."

As the skill update faded, Bell sensed the Silverback start to climb on top of the wall and into the alleyway they ran into, so he rose up and looked at the gorilla with excitement, before charging the ape, who tried to bring a massive right fist down upon him, but he blinked to its shoulder. Its overextended right shoulder, giving him enough time and room to slice upwards with his Silverizer and cutting the added equipment from the monster jumping off as the beast roared in agony since the cut was deep on the side of its head as well, it would definitely leave a scar. However he had no intention of letting the gorilla live that long, he landed a bit behind the beast that began to turn to him, but he wasn't gonna give any rest and pulled the trigger on the handle, to Hestia's shock, bright yellow beams of light shot out from the tip of the blade. The aiming was spot on because it was shot right at the center of the Silverback's chest, causing it to again let out a roar of pain since the shots broke apart its chest plate and forced it to step back two steps before Bell ran and jumped up high in the air, sticking his arms out like a cross.

He was in the air for a few seconds to Hestia, and for a moment she wondered why, that was when she saw it, she saw the glow coming off his blade, saw how it shown with a brilliant blue, the same blue as her eyes, shimmering light that got brighter and brighter until it was ready. When he finally came down, it was at a speed and strength she never saw before, he called out, not the name of the attack, but the name of his weapon, "Sycho Silverizer," and brought down the blade, in a diagonal line across the monster on his way down. However Hestia was focused on the effect the blade slash had, it was like the strike over shown itself and from it came a blue cut across reality as it was brought down, a blue line that cut the monster Silverback in half from the force and the power behind it, from left shoulder to left hip. The gorilla stopped for a moment before it began to slide down the right side of it, when it got to be halfway down, the monster evaporated in a cloud of black smoke and all that was left was a large magic stone, "at least we'll eat well tonight," Bell commented as he picked it up.

"Oh Bell, you really did it," Hestia exclaimed as she charged at him and wrapped him in the tightest hug that she could muster, "thank you so much for all you've done," she thanked him and rubbed his cheek with her own, he reached up and began to pet her head a bit.

Bell looked around and saw that tons of people came out to congratulate and thank him for what he did, "this turned into quite the big deal huh," he stated as stood up and raised his right hand that still had his Psycho Silverizer in it as a show of victory and that he won against the beast.

"Yeah," the voice of Hestia began to get quieter as she spoke, "sure did," he looked down and saw that she was very fatigued, "you know… you did… a really great job," as she began to fall down in a faint, he caught her before she hit the ground and picked her up.

"Guess she was so fatigued that she passed out, oh well, guess we'll just head on home," he stated as he began to walk past the crowd that had gathered to praise him, huh, he never thought that he would be getting that, but he knew what he did, and he like this feeling.

The walk home was uneventful, walked past a few people running around trying to find out what happened, but he didn't stop to explain, he just walked and once he got inside the church and down into the basement, he laid his goddess onto the bed and covered her with a sheet. Then he went to the couch and sat down to go over what he felt, in a flash of silver and blue orbing lights, his Psycho Silverizer appeared, in another flash it disappeared, another flash and it reappeared, he smirked as he did that a few more times before stopping to lean back and relax. He got a new weapon, and can summon it at will, and make it disappear at will, just like what he can do for his clothes, he began to think that maybe he can do so with that 'Psycho Armor' in his skill listing too, now he just had to think and things were happening.

However, there was also a few problems, his was still a level 1, but he was progressing much faster than he should be, especially without his Liaris Freese active, or what he assumed to be inactive, but regardless, his rapid growth could be an undescribed side effect of being Psycho. At the rate that he was going, he should be able to reach level 2 soon, perhaps one long push in the dungeon and he'll be within parameters to reach level 2, but he'd need something big to come his way, a real challenge after the long stent to push him past the breaking point. Bell might have to ask a favor at some point and see if Syr had any ideas, he would ask Hestia but she hasn't been a goddess of a Familia long, nor does she need more on her plate than what will be on it with his stats increasing so much, pretty soon he will be thrust into the spotlight.

When he is thrust into the spotlight, he'll be sure to make a grand spectacle of the entire thing, as he leaned back he felt a large, wide, psychotic grin spread across his face, this was going to be so much fun from now on, he could feel it, he could feel that no matter what happened, he'd like it.
