Is It Wrong to Become a Psycho in a Dungeon

Chapter 2

Psycho Supporter

Bell stretched as he was walking down to the guild, it's been a good number of days since the fight with the Silverback, and safe to say that he's continued a steady stream of adventuring since then, and of course he was sticking to the first 12 floors, he could go in deeper but he didn't. It wasn't due to lack of strength mind you; it was because it wouldn't be feasible at the moment, he was having trouble with something so simple that he was disappointed in himself for not thinking of the problem before, simply being able to pick up and store drops and magic stones. That's right, someone with a great skill like Psycho who is gaining experience like crazy was having trouble carrying things, and it wasn't like he could feasibly just carry around a large backpack everywhere to carry all the drop items and stones, it would make fighting much harder. He thought about using the same technique he used to store his Psycho Silverizer, but he couldn't do that either, they wouldn't go in at all, so he needed to find something else, some way to pack around all the stones and drops he could be making, cause he had a good plan he could use.

The plan was simple, stay at least a week in the dungeon, he was making enough and saved enough he could easily just stay a week in the dungeon straight and see what kind of haul he could bring in, go up and down the first twelve floors of the dungeon for seven days. Bell thought that if he did this it might count as a big enough event and stat grind that he could level up to level 2 easily from the point he was at right now, which was damn close to the strongest he's ever been, with all of his stats being at such a state that he could level up after a push.

SKILL:
Psycho- The mind and body is turned into a living weapon, able to do and comprehend things no other being can, the peak in both physical strength and mental capacity, and all the _ powers that go along with the holder of this skill including but not limited: BLINKING, TELEPORTATION, SINKING, BINDING FORGING, LIGHTNING SUMMONING, ENHANCED SENSES, ENHANCED SIGHT FORMS, PSYCHIC COMMUNICATION WITH OTHERS OF THE SKILL, MONSTERIFICATION, GIGANTIFICATION, PSYCHO ARMOR, PSYCHO SILVERIZER, HARD LIGHT MOVEMENT.

Liaris Freese- Fast growth, the effect lasts as long as user maintains his feelings, and increases depending on how strong they are.

Okay, maybe not right now but he was close, he could feel it, he just needed to be able to grind out for a few days to a week in the dungeon and he'll be able to level up without issue, and incidentally beat out Ais for the record of fastest level up in the history of Orario. Though he would be lying if he said he wasn't worried, for some reason Liaris Freese was still active, and there was no mention of faster growth in his Psycho skill, as he had assumed that was what was keeping his growth being so fast, at least not that he could interpret at any rate. The only thing he might infer faster growth from the skill description was that it turned his mind and body into a living weapon, best way to do that is to make it to where he grew to be the strongest at the fastest rate it could, but there was no way that it meant to be this fast. Bell expected that it wanted a living weapon to be able to take pain and have a hardened heart so it should be more gradual than this, so there was no reason for his stats to be increasing at such a fast rate, almost to the point where it was getting ridiculous, for it to be like this.

Then there was one more problem that he had, his armor, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't summon his Psycho Armor, he thought about what it would be, the feel of it, the slick design, and so much more, the way it would work for him, the protection it could provide. Sadly, all that he could do was picture it in his mind, his mind came up for what it could be, the design and protection would be quite the showing, but again, he can only picture it, no matter the method, it seemed like it just wouldn't manifest, it wasn't even trying to come out. The only flash of it was in his dreams and mind that showed him what he would be getting, it was as if everything was locked, the same with the aspect Monsterification and Gigantification as well, but with those he had no idea what they mean at all other than what the name entails. Monsterification sounds like he should be able to take on the form of a monster, what kind of monster he didn't know, and Gigantification sounds like he should be able to grow, most likely change his height to that of a tall building or something like that, hopefully as tall as Babel.

So it is with great annoyance that he was currently on his way to the guild to see if at least one of those things; the storage, the fast growth, or the armor, hopefully he could ask if they had any other armor that he could use until he gets his Psycho Armor situation more in control. As Bell got to the guild building, a tall yellow building with white trim on the roof, he went inside and found that it wasn't too busy, the sun was still rising and he could tell that Eina was at the very least free, so she should have some free time to talk with him about some things.

"Hey Eina, how's the day startin for you," he asked to start off the conversation with something pleasant, a tactic he had been using when they talked after he came back here to exchange his magic stones for valis, though he's sure she saw right through it but was too tired at day's end.

"You want something, don't you Bell," the half elf asked of him, he smiled as he knew that yes she did know his tactic and he should have known better than to use it in the morning when she'd be fresh and not be too tired to push what he'd want to sneak by her, but thankfully he knew.

"I just wanna ask if you knew a way to help me with something," Bell began as he leaned on his arms over the counter to talk to her casually, "I need help with three things, the guild might be able to help with two of them, I need a better way to store all my stones and drops, and armor."

Eina looked at him with a raised eyebrow before hers widened in surprise and horror, "oh my gods, I completely forgot to think about your armor," she turned back to look at her colleague Misha, "Misha, I have to help my adventurer with some important things, I'll be back later." Before walking around the counter and grabbed his hand to follow her, but his pace quickly outmatched hers and they broke their hands apart, "I can't believe I didn't even think about the armor, and you've been fighting beyond the sixth with just that light armor, how are you alive?"

"I'm tough to kill and now have the skills to not die easily," Bell answered honestly with a shrug as they made their way down the main road in Orario to… what looked to be Babel, "why are we going towards Babel, I'm pretty sure that the only things in there would still be expensive."

"True, but the Hephaistos Familia shops have multiple floors to them, the lower floor being a good place for the more expensive of armor and weapons, while the upper floors have a much lower price seeing as they all house novice and at times lower skilled smiths," Eina informed him.

"Ah, meaning that they sell cheaper armor but still good quality in the hopes to get more renown and begin moving up in the food chain, this information would have been better to know earlier you know," he looked to his adviser as he said the last bit and she smiled awkwardly at him.

"That's the idea in a summary," she commented as they approached the tower of Babel, the tall structure that was the proverbial lid to the dungeon that the city was famous for, as they entered and found a vacant elevator, they first went to the first floor to see just how bad the prices were. All around them were nothing but shiny and high-priced weapons and armor that were priced high because of the quality of both the crafting and the materials used in the forging of the equipment, still priced to high for someone on a budget, no matter how much money he was bringing in.

As they were walking by the shops, they found that there wasn't really anything that was priced lower than 15 million Valis, one store front had fancy weapons out front with the price at 30 million that they stopped to look at, soon someone from the shop opened the door to greet them. "Welcome," it was a girl that greeted them cheerfully, "what can I do for you today valued customers," she asked with a very familiar tone of voice, Bell slowly turned to look at the form of Hestia, in a red and white salesclerk dress, clearly working at this place to earn for his weapon.

Hestia jumped in shock as she stared at him, Bell was much more subdued, "let me guess, working here to pay off for the money spent on my Psycho Silverizer," he asked her, to which she nodded bashfully until she noticed who she was here with and went overprotective goddess mode.

"Yeah, but now I'd like to know what you're doing here," she then turned towards Eina and glared while animatedly throwing a tantrum, "after you tell me who this half-elf is," she ordered, clearly not ever have been introduced to each other before today, which he guessed is accurate.

Eina though made to introduce herself, starting with a bow, "it is a pleasure to meet you, goddess Hestia," she straitened to look the goddess in the eye, "I am Guildswoman Eina Tulle, but more specifically, I am also the labyrinth search advisor for Mr. Bell Cranel," she handled that well.

"Oh… is that so," Hestia on the other hand clearly wasn't, so she approached the half-elf with suspicion, "looky here, miss advisor," and motioned for her to bend down then she got close to her ear, "you wouldn't be abusing your position to try and seduce my precious Bell, would you?"

The goddess continued to glare at her, and so Eina backed up a safe distance so that she could placate the goddess of the hearth, "I-I like to keep business and pleasure separate," while holding her hands up in surrender, Bell had to sigh at his goddess's protectiveness and such.

"We're just here to buy some good but cheap armor so that I can have some protection, it won't be much, but hopefully it will be just enough," Bell told her, shaking his head at the antics of his goddess, "remember that was why I went to the guild this morning, my armor situation."

Hestia remembered what she was told after a little more and let them go, so now they were ascending up to the high shops in the elevator and Hestia went back to work, "she a… character, isn't she," Eina asked as they rose, Bell just gave a sigh at the attempt of conversation. Soon they arrived at the upper floors and stepped out, "well okay, here we are, now these floors are where the cheaper and yet still high-quality works are," they went to a stand that had a sword selling for just 1200 Valis, and by the look of it, the quality wasn't bad either. "Pretty good, right," the half-elf questioned with a hint of pride in her voice, "everything sold here is made by novice craftsmen, it can be sold for cheap, way below standard prices, plus the good reviews are a big help for all the beginner blacksmiths."

"So basically we're just going bargain shopping," Bell summarized as he continued to look around, "you can always find one if you know where to look," they moved on and began scouring for something that might look to be a good fit, in truth he didn't need much, just some light armor. Though he felt that he should feel bad, because he was judging with not just his normal eyes but eyes that were feeding him a material list that held a good eye for quality as well, he knew exactly what some armors were truly worth more than others thanks to this, he was disappointed. The quality was nothing like on the lower floors, if he had to give a tier listing, the lowest on the lower floors was a high B class armor, everything he was seeing now was more I and G class, which was to be expected seeing as only novices were working on these floors, but still.

However this place was all about finding hidden gems, like when you find a good blacksmith novice that knows what they're doing, but nobody gives them a chance, and he could already tell by going through all kinds of boxes and barrels that there were a few armors that were decent. He separated from Eina along the way to look on his own and found a good gem hidden amongst this dirt, a box that held a good light armor set, all of which was at least D tier at least, but it was in the back hidden amongst a bunch of bland and shitty low tier trash, he briefly wondered why. Yet when he looked at the price, it was actually too cheap for this place, only 9900 Valis for such a great armor set, all of it was silver with a red vein going down one side of it on all pieces of the set, the rest of the pieces were enough that it resembled the armor design he had in mind too.

Bell flipped over the armor and found that the inside was just as neatly polished, and it even had a signature at the bottom of it, "Welf Crozzo," he was pretty sure he heard the last name in passing, if he thought about it, he was sure there was a Crozzo in the legend of the Argonaut. "Guess this guy is a distant ancestor or maybe from a different branch, but nice find either way," he tossed the chest plate once in the air before putting it back in the box, he lifted it with one hand easily and went to find Eina, it wasn't long until he did, she was on her way back for him.

"Ah, Bell, figured you'd have found something back here," Eina commented as she saw the box that he had, "let me guess, light armor, right," she asked and he nodded with a smirk on his face, "now, you said you had another problem, something about storage or something, right?"

"Yes," he answered as they paid and walked out of the shop and began making their way back down, "I can only pack such a pack with me before it becomes a hinderance to my fighting, so I need to find a way that lets me get larger amounts of magic stones and not hinder my progress."

"Sounds like you need a supporter at the very least," she told him her advice, when he asked what that is, she replied, "basically, they follow you and collect the stones and drop items from the monsters you kill, you can hire one yourself or the guild can go help set you up with one."

"Let me guess, for a small fee, right," Bell asked with a smile to show it was meant as a joke, the awkward chuckle from Eina told him it was with a small fee, "everything's always about money with people," he sighed as they got to the statue in a small park, "but I think I should hire one."

"Yes you should, it would make you a more efficient adventurer, and even if it is attached with a small fee, I'd be happy to help you find one if you want," Eina offered, always making sure that the guild was still getting some form of business, though he'd see if he could find out on his own.

"I'll see what I can find first, gotta save every Valis that I can, right," he smirked at her as he shifted the box to his other hand, this was actually a good workout, at least a good one to warm up his muscles for the dungeon he'd be going into today, since he was still planning to go in.

"Oh, one more thing," the half-elf took out something wrapped in cloth and presented it to him, "I want you to have this," she unwrapped it and showed that it was a bracer for his arms, it was jade green and looked to be of high quality, "it's a present from me to you, so be sure to use it."

Bell inspected the bracer and knew that he would, despite green not being his color, at the moment he couldn't afford not to have the best he could, so he made sure that it would get put to use, "since I do need all the help I can get, I'll take it, thanks Eina, see ya later on tonight." He turned and walked off to put on his armor and head for the dungeon, he had armor to test and he was sure as hell not going to waste this opportunity to see how well he looked in all silver armor, so he walked back towards Babel and on the way, he changed on the go with his skill. He put his hand out in front of him towards the box and back to his face and the parts acted like magnets and put themselves onto him, his silver armor automatically going to all the correct places as his undershirt became skin-tight and his pants were form fitting on him. He liked the armor he had, it wasn't perfect in his minds eye, but it was good enough to where he wasn't annoyed with it, so with a casual stroll he left the now empty box for whoever wanted it to head for the dungeon, time to test how good this armor can hold up on the floors.

Later

That evening, as the sun was beginning to set, Bell was walking down a back alley, his armor held up better than he expected, so there wasn't a doubt in his mind that he couldn't accomplish his goal of leveling up after a weak long stent in the dungeon, minor scratches the worst outcome. The only problem left was to pick up a supporter, he'd have to choose wisely though, a weak one and they wouldn't be able to keep up, disloyal one and he would find himself picked to the bone, not that he couldn't unsummon and resummon his weapon at will, but it was the intention. Of course he could find one that he could bring in with an act of selflessness and probably get their services at a discount, that would be quite easy to do, act a bit more heroic and less like who he was turning into, be selfless and show his good side, which was becoming less frequent.

It was a really messed up thing he was noticing, his mind just couldn't think like it used to, nor could he act like he used to, a naïve boy that only had one goal and then for like a day and a half had another on top of that one, be a hero and then get the attention of Aiz Wallenstein, not now. Now his thoughts about her was one of almost pity, she didn't know how to show emotion, or at least not anything but a stoic stare and confusion, which wasn't much and he now found to be a large turn off, not to mention she lacks boundaries and social ques, it was frustrating. So any relationship with Aiz was just weird to him now, hell, any relationship that didn't benefit him greatly was now weird to him, like he was an opportunist or something, "well, not like there is anything wrong with a mutually beneficial relationship," he commented to himself.

"Oof," something bumped into him and fell back ass first, he looked down to his left side that was hit and saw that some little girl had been the cause, clearly running and exhausted, everything was on him so this girl didn't use it as a tactic to rob him, so clearly she was running.

Weather that was from something or someone was a different story, "just where do you think you're going, you stupid, pathetic Prum," an irritated voice asked and Bell looked up to see a long black-haired man in a red jacket rush towards the girl to attack her with a sword already drawn

Bell swiftly made a judgment call and quickly got in front of the girl and kicked the sword away from the man's hand with his left foot and spun to then hit the man in the back of the neck with a right legged round house kick, making him stumble to the side and into the wall of a building. "Not sure why you're after her, but pretty sure a girl alone versus a sword is a bit much, no matter what she did to you," he told the guy as he tried to get up but that kick was a pretty good way to end a fight to a normal person, "even if she scammed you, you're fault for falling for it."

"That's enough Mr. Cranel," the voice of someone he recognized came into his ears, he turned and saw that it was Ryu, a waitress from the Hostess of Fertility on a supply run, looking down on them from atop of some stairs, "please, attacking each other within the confines of the city limits. You two ought to be ashamed of yourselves," the white-haired boy just gave her a raised eyebrow and brought his arms out as if to say 'seriously', "let us not resort to anymore violence," there was a dark glint in her eye, "I tend to get carried away sometimes," she told them in a low tone.

The black-haired guy crawled away before finding his footing and ran for it, while Bell turned to Ryu, "you do know that I was just reacting right, he wasn't gonna hurt that Prum that seemed to have run off somewhere, likely behind the corner of that building over there," he casually stated.

"Yes, but I know that Syr would be extremely upset if you got yourself hurt, or if you got into trouble," Ryu stated as she to saw that the girl ran off to behind the corner of the building but chose not to commented on it, "but do be careful," she offered before turning to walk away.

"I'll try," he offered as he watched her go, he knew the Prum was watching him still, so with quick thinking, mainly weighing the pros and cons, he chose to voice a bit loud, "tomorrow I'll try to find a supporter, maybe stand at the square before the tower to see what I can find out." It was only when he heard the feint footsteps leading away that he moved and went back to the church, tomorrow he should get a mysterious supporter, the only thing that might be annoying is if she was wanting to pose as something else, he'll have to let her know not to try that.

So he went home, he slept well that night and right woke up just before his goddess and decided to head for the dungeon before she woke up, which wouldn't be for much longer, so he left and got to the meeting place where he was supposed to run into that Prum from yesterday. It was early enough that the morning mist was still hovering over the ground, but looking around, Bell could tell which were supporters and which were adventurers, the supporters all wore large backpacks that rattled with the equipment they would all need, spare weapons and food. Of course, since he noticed this, he realized that there were enough people out here for him to notice, more people means more people that will likely be from the same group the guy yesterday was from, so when that Prum did finally come to him, they'd be able to see it.

"Mister, hey mister," a voice called behind him, which wasn't guaranteed to be for him since there were plenty of people, "you with the white hair," that got him to turn around and see a very large and green backpack, clearly signifying it was from a supporter, with plenty of tools attached to it. He looked down and saw the girl from last night, clothes hidden by a cloak that wrapped around her with the hood up to hide her auburn hair, "a very good day to you, sir, sorry to bother you, but would you happen to be in the market for a supporter," she asked him casually.

Bell couldn't help but let out a little chuckle, "heheheheh," that might be her play but it was too late for her to simply pretend otherwise, "pretending not to know me from last night when I saved you from that guy, huh," he crouched down to her level, "so what was a Prum like you doing?"

"Uh, what, I'm sorry you must be confused, but it's not really all that complicated, sir," really, trying to trick him like that, "I'm just a poor, lonely supporter offering her services to an adventurer who doesn't have a partner, and I'm not a Prum, I'm a chienthrope," she informed.

The girl pulled back her hood to let him know that he had the wrong girl and was completely different from the Prum he met last night, sadly that didn't work for him, "hahaha," he laughed at the attempt, "not even a good disguise, didn't change your hair color at all, but fine I'll play along. I'm Bell Cranel by the way, let's move this somewhere else," he led the stunned girl who clearly thought he was an easy mark to a fountain for them to talk and hash out any contract there, and find out why she was on the run from that guy, there he got a name, "Liliruca, nice name Lily."

"Thanks master Bell," Lily was clearly on edge since he called her out so easily, as if he didn't care about her lies and only said the truth, but she figured she might as well answer some question, "well, I asked you because it seemed like you were all by yourself, despite being an adventurer."

"Yep, one man explorer for now, no party at the moment," Bell stated casually as he looked up at the tower of Babel, "and don't worry, not gonna judge you on last night, nor will I ask you anymore than needed, such as if you can do what I need and take what is given without a fight."

"Do not worry, I know my place as a supporter, I don't have much money anyways, so I know how to live off of scraps," she told him solemnly, as if any supporter of his was gonna be getting anything less than what they truly deserve to get, not that he'd tell her that yet for now.

"Fine, you'll get what is owed to you and not a cent less or more," he stood up from the fountain, "we'll use today as a trial run and see how well we do together, I'd say go down to at least the 7th floor for now," he looked as she hurriedly gathered her backpack up; she seemed a bit excited.

They left the area and began heading down into the dungeon, Lily learned really quickly just how fast and how much Bell was collecting, his style of fighting was quick and efficient, killing monster after monster easily with a slice of his sword, what she learned was the Psycho Silverizer. She was forced to keep her backpack opened as she followed him and put in the stones that he left for her to pick up, often staying three monsters ahead of her while she was picking up the stones, he wasn't leaving the corpses and the drop items were as always, rare, but still a few. The kills were swift and not left to chance as he dispatched all of them as they made their way down further and further, and the girl was keeping up just barely as he killed monsters, and it didn't seem like the further down they went he was barely slowing down, or slowing down at all. It wasn't until the 7th floor that he let them take a break in the fighting and killing, he just killed three Killer Ants in quick succession, chopping the heads off of all three as they tried to gang up on him with a spin to the right, all three fell in a black mist, their stones falling to the ground.

"Master Bell," Lily exclaimed as the dungeon spawned one more Killer Ant to the left of the approaching girl, the Psycho quickly got to where it was and side kicked the head hard enough for it to dislodge from the torso and began to hang there, "that was good as usual," she clapped.

"Yes it was," Bell nodded as he began to lightly punch holes in the dungeon so that they could take a small break from the monster spawning, he discovered this trick after a bit of fighting he did on the 4th floor and noticed the monster weren't spawning, "nice collecting by the way."

"Well, you were taking out all those monsters alone and quite easily is way more impressive than anything I'm doing, Master Bell," she commented as she picked up the three magic stones from the three Killer Ants he killed in one go, "though doesn't most of your power come from that?"

The 'that' that she was referring to be his Psycho Silverizer, he made it a point to not let it disappear like he usually did, for some reason he thought up a very funny plan on the way through, so he wasn't using any more of his power other than his blade for right now, "mostly."

Lily got a smile on her face as he answered her question, not seeing his own smile though since he had his back to her, "so, where did you get a sword like that anyway," she asked him, hoping he would see it as mindless curiosity instead of what it clearly was, though she knew he didn't.

"Asking that, I can see right through you," he muttered to himself as he turned around to answer the question and put his Silverizer at his back, "the goddess of my Familia got it for me from Hephaistos herself," he said louder before asking her something too, "what Familia are you in?"

"Oh, I'm in the Soma Familia," the girl stated as she was still picking up the magic stones, then she noticed a chance when she looked up, "hey Master Bell, that one still has its magic stone, it shouldn't be too deep inside, I'll get the ones that fell on the ground, wanna call it a day after?" Lily handed him a small knife for him to cut it down with and he took it as he looked at her and her pack filled with stones, bigger than he ever made by himself, he nodded to her question as he began to cut the stone out of the Killer Ant, knowing what she was staring at the entire time.

That evening

After coming out of the dungeon, they divided up the stones themselves, they had quite a bit, but figured they'd do that for right now and go exchange their loot themselves, even though Bell knew she was hiding more in her coat that she thought were higher tier than the rest of them. He didn't care though since he wasn't after just the stones, he was after someone that he could most assuredly predict the movements of, and sadly to say that you can always count on a thief to act as a thief, even the good-hearted thieves are still thieves at heart, so he knew what was missing. All those magic stones weren't the only things she had taken; she knew of a few drop items that she took that held a little value as well, not enough for him to care, but just enough that it would help her out, but one thing that he's not upset about because of what he can do is his Silverizer. Bell knew that Lily took it since he wasn't dumb enough to drop it or lose it, hell, little girl probably thought that the money she got from him, which if he didn't know she took extra, was about forty percent of the total earning, she almost argued that it was too much for her.

In the end the girl thought better of risking his ire with all that she had already taken and left as soon as she could, leaving him to explain things to Eina upon his return, "wait, you said that your supporter's in the Soma Familia," at Bell's nod she started to explain, "they focus on exploration. Well, they mainly focus on it, while also selling a lot of booze as well, which is fine and allowed, but…," she showed hesitation at telling him the next bit but eventually did, "the whole group always seems to be so desperate, like they're always in a panic about something."

"Like always in need of more and more money," he finished the thought for her, "as if skimming some of the winnings we collected wasn't bad enough, little Prum even decided to try and steal my Psycho Silverizer, I'd call her a pitiful girl if I was still my old self," he commented. He turned around to show her an empty place for his weapon, "though something tells me she's not just desperate for no reason so I'll see what's going on with her," and with that he waved the guild adviser off as he began walking away so that he could find the girl.

He began walking along the main road, knowing that it wouldn't be long until something would happen with his luck, and he was right because it wasn't long until Lily herself came running out of a side path, bumping into him as not far behind Ryu came running out with his weapon. With Syr coming up right behind that, juggling two bags of supplies for the Hostess of Fertility no doubt, he almost laughed at how ridiculous it was that he now knew two goddesses that did the same exact thing, he briefly wondered what the two knew of one another.

"So, I take it that she had my blade," Bell asked with a nod to Lily who froze in fear at being called out, when Ryu nodded, that confirmed it and with but a flick of his hand the weapon was gone from Ryu's hand and back with him, "I expected to just find her, how did you guys meet?"

"We were on a supply run for Mama Mia and ran into this girl," Bell could feel the disappointment in the girl come off of Syr as she began to speak, "it was clear she had your weapon, so Ryu took out a coin and flicked it to where she would drop your blade, than we began to chase her."

"Aw, I'm touched your upset on my behalf Syr," he began to pat her head to calm the girl down, she just blushed and started to get embarrassed for the display, playing with a goddess is fun, when the girl backed up he chuckled as he turned to Lily, "hehehe, how much was offered?"

The girl looked like she wanted to flee from this place and soon would, if she didn't know for certain that Bell would catch her, so she told the truth, "50 Valis, all it was worth to him was 50 Valis," she informed them, which made the Psycho laugh at such a low number for his blade.

"Well, it helps that only members of Hestia's Familia can use the blade, anyone else would find it dull and not for fighting," Bell informed the girl who went wide eyed, not only did he know what she was doing but knew it wouldn't work, "but it was only worth 50 in other people's hands hehe."

Syr approached him to ask, "are you alright though, I know that for an adventurer to not have his weapon for any amount of time is a big risk, and she did steal it from you," she questioned, though if it was from genuine concern or just that her entertainment might get hurt, who knew.

"Yeah, I'm good, you girls can go, I'll talk with little Lily here and make sure she knows not to take from me again," he waved them off, they debated for a moment longer before leaving, knowing that he could more than likely handle the Prum girl should she start acting up again. So when they were gone, he began to rub the top of her head to get her attention, "good that I found you," the smile he gave knew might be frightening in this context, "what time to do you wanna meet back up to head back into the dungeon tomorrow," that clearly shocked her.

Lily looked up to him with wide eyes once he asked that, as if she didn't understand the question, "what, but I just took your thing to sell, what if I decide to take from you again," she asked a dumb question, even knowing that meant a possible contract might be cut from her.

"Well, then I'll just get it back," he replied casually to her even more shocked face, "I don't really care about much, but I do care about predictability, and I surmise that you want a stable life, what stable life can you have if you're hopping from one score to the next, honest work is better." The girl was clearly at a loss for words, he's not caring about the fact she stole from him, just cared that she followed her plan, what the hell was up with this crazy guy, "oh, but if you want a reason that you can understand, you stole from me so you need to pay that off, my supporter."

That was how the next morning found that the two back in the dungeon, one forced in a way to make it seem like they were paying the other back for stealing, but the truth was both were using the other, and both knew it, one just didn't care and the other would remain confused with him. So they went further and further down, still taking out monsters and putting the magic stones away even quicker than before, in the end they made great time and pretty soon walking back up to the guild with even more in hand than last time thanks to going all the way to the 12th floor.

"4 million 5 hundred thousand," the both of them exclaimed, that was more than either of them had seen before, well for Bell at least, Lily has seen a similar amount, but not one that she got with only one partner, and it was one that didn't treat her like she was a lesser person.

"Damn, never thought we'd be able to get this much, not in a single day and certainly not with only two people," Bell commented as he rubbed the back of his head, but it did make sense in the long run he supposed, "though I did kill all monsters from floors 1 through 12, so makes sense."

"Might make sense, but it shouldn't," Lily commented as she continued to stare at the money, she was sure it would evaporate if she took her eyes off of it, though now was time that was painful, "now we just have to decide how we're gonna split the money…," though she knew what it was.

"Oh yeah already told them how to split it, here's your 40 percent," he casually said, okay, maybe the girl didn't know what was gonna happen, "should be about 1 Million 8 hundred thousand," the girl clearly was about to argue about the amount, "I'm taking ten percent of your cut this time." The Prum was at another huge loss for words, that wasn't how this was supposed to go either, according to all rules she knew, the supporter got scraps, "oh yeah, probably the first time with this, but there is only two of us, I kill the monsters, but you pick up the stones almost as quickly. So in payment for you keeping up with me, you also didn't complain and pushed yourself, I expect your stats would get a huge increase, so if I kill and you collect, that's division of jobs and both did equal parts, so even split from now on," he turned to walk off, he had plans after this.

Lily was left there, stunned at the logic this Psycho had, work was done evenly and yet still separately, but at the same time their positions were still different, and even after getting penalized for the theft, she still got more than what she was taught she could get. She just couldn't understand the logic, nor could she see his reasoning, well she could since he just explained it, but supporters weren't supposed to be viewed as equal to adventurers, they got at most 10 percent, never almost half, and she would have gotten half, what the fuck?

That night

It was more closer to nighttime now, so Bell decided to get some food at the Hostess of Fertility, his favorite and only pub he knew of that catered to mainly adventurers, and where he wanted to be so that he could talk to a certain goddess that he was sure was still just watching him. As he got close, he could have sworn that he saw a black cat person carrying a cloaked figure cross the main road and went behind the very pub he was going to, he inwardly laughed at her coming here just for him, clearly she was still watching and wanted to be his server, he'll play along.

As he got to the pub he waited a few minutes before entering, gave Syr enough time to change or do what she needed to do, as soon as he walked in and was greeted by Chloe this time, "hey, I'd like to request Syr to be my server if you can," he made sure to flash a smile and the girl showed.

"Hey Bell, I'll be happy to be your server," the waitress led him back to a booth while he surveyed the patrons, not many were here tonight so it was possible that he'd get Syr all to himself tonight, "here it your table," she wanted to play a bit so she bowed as she showed him his seat at a booth.

"Now if only you were off we could talk without a time limit," he smiled as she blushed, the Psycho had to admit that he was so much more confident now that it was scary, but entertaining, "I'll have some ale and tonight's special, and whatever you'll have on your next break."

"Ale, tonight's special, and…," Syr paused as she thought on what he just said, before blushing as she wrote down, "wine and pasta," she finished writing as she smiled at him, "I'll be right back with our drinks," she rushed to go make sure the drink order was fulfilled, leaving him on his own. Though he made sure nobody was around as he focused his ears to pick up only what Syr and Mama Mia were talking about, "by the gods, and I thought I had the magic of charm, he's a downright master," she was fanning her face to cool it as Mia laughed at the way she acted.

"I've never seen you act like an actual girl before, almost makes me jealous," Mia commented as she took an offered paper with the order on it, she did give a disappointed huff though, "though I wish Horn was the server right now so that you could have a date," she commented afterwards.

"At the moment so do I," there was a pause after Syr said that and if anyone noticed, there was a glow about her for only a moment, "no Horn, do not come, there would be no way to explain you just showing up," oh, it seems there was limited communication with, he assumed, the double.

"I'll slow down the que and fix his meal last, should be up just in time for your break, useless goddess," the owner commented as said goddess pouted and was soon shood out of the kitchen, but picked up at least an ale for him to drink as they waited until their food was ready.

It took another hour before Syr came back with both of their foods on a tray, another holding their drinks, Bell was sure to act as he should and at least took the food out of her hands so she could sit down without any risk of spilling any of it, which she clearly appreciated from her smile. They spent far more than just her break talking, everything they could think of they spoke out loud, though they clearly avoided talking about which goddess she was, Syr didn't want him to think that she was using him for anything and he wasn't ready to hear who he knew she was. It was easy for Bell to know, the clues were all around them, the name of the restaurant, the fact that they mentioned someone named Horn, which is usually more northern, and so that led to the goddess across from him to really be none other than Freya, the goddess of beauty and fertility. Syr though was just a waitress with clear gaps in her knowledge that any normal girl would be able to tell, how to cook and clean and do chores in general were things anyone should know how to do, and yet she was completely blank on things like that, as if she never had to lift a finger.

"So," Syr started as they noticed how late it was getting and just how long their date was, "I have one last question for you," his raised eyebrow and hand motion for her to continue let her ask it, "what magic do you have, cause you have to have gained magic since you're on the 12th floor."

"Hahahaha," Bell had to laugh, not because of her question, but because of who was asking, and more than likely why, but he would answer either way, "actually, everything I can do is because of a skill, just a skill, I don't have magic, never could study to get any either," he informed her.

"WOW," she exclaimed, that was no small skill either, a skill that lets you become powerful enough to where you don't really need magic is quite the feet, everyone past floor 7 has at least some kind of magic usually, even if it's just an enhancement magic, "that's really impressive."

"Yep," he replied, "been adventuring for little over a month and I'm almost level two, just need a good push," he told her, which almost had her salivating at his growth, "now my final question," at her nod, he continued, "why me, could have really been drawn to anyone, so why me?"

The question made Syr pause, not because she didn't know, but because this would be giving away a lot, but after a minute she decided to share, "I've been searching for something, some would call it my other half, someone that wouldn't fall to charm magic, you might say destiny. I had almost given up hope, one reason I do this every day," she motioned to around the emptying pub, "is because I wanted to do something other than moping around, just existing and doing nothing else, but that hope turned into a roaring flame when I saw you by nothing but chance."

"Then it was love at first sight for you I imagine," Bell asked and the goddess blushed with a nod, "well, I can't promise I'm the one you're looking for at the moment, but I'm willing to go out with you more to see where it is we end up, would you like that," he asked her, and what an ask.

She knew that she fell hard, knew that this was a new feeling for her, but also knew that he didn't feel the same way at the moment, right now he liked her, but probably not as much as she liked him, but she also knew that he would eventually, "I would like that, but when do you meet me?"

"I'm meeting you now, as long as you are true to who you are, I don't care what you call yourself, you can call yourself Syr, your goddess name, hell, call yourself Fufu the fairy dancer if ya want, I'm not going out with a name, I'm going out with you," he told her firmly, and truthfully.

Syr was blushing up a storm now, almost so red and overheating you could fry an egg on her head, "are you two done yet," the voice of Mama Mia came in as she towered over them at their table, "my girls need sleep and Syr needs to be punished for never coming back from break." True enough, they looked around and found that all the patrons of the pub have cleared out, though the possible punishment still loomed, the two on the impromptu date blushed when they realized that they lost track of all time when it came to talking to each other.

"My apologies Mama Mia, time simply ran from us," Bell apologized as he helped Syr gather up all of the plates and glasses they used so that she could take them back to the kitchen, when she was gone to the back he commented, "though I can't wait for another date," to the pub owner.

"Ha, you pay the tab well enough and pick a not so busy night, I might let ya," Mama Mia shot out as she turned and headed back to the kitchen, interestingly enough with a ladle in her hand, and a trembling Syr past the door leading to the kitchen, punishment shouldn't be too bad, right?

"Just in case," he pulled out an extra big helping of Valis to help lighten said punishment before shoving his hands in his pockets and strolling out with a whistle, deciding to head back home as casually as he could before anything else could happen while he was out.

Next Morning

The next morning was the start of a new day and with it a new problem, Hestia went out drinking with a friend and drank way too much that she woke up with a hangover and was raving about how he was a cheater, however she failed to explain how he was a cheater if they weren't dating. It won't be long before he would have to set the record straight for his goddess that he wasn't into her, that she felt more like a childish mother figure for him than a figure that he would want to date, though right now she was in no condition to understand that and for now he left it alone. Instead he chose to go back to the dungeon with Lili, it was easy as usual to get a high amount thanks to them working together, she kept up with his rapid killing and took the stones easily, until a small horde of various monsters appeared and it took longer than usual to kill them all.

Two Killer Ants rushed Bell, he quickly dispatched them with two strikes of his Psycho Silverizer before some Needle Rabbits came from the side to try and stab into him, he knocked them away with a swift knee before more Killer Ants pilled on him and forced him down to the ground. He stabbed up with his blade to impale one while shooting lightning out of his other hand to strike at another, more ants and rabbits were coming for him, but just as her was about to act, he heard, "leave him alone," and a flash of fire speared across his vision, burning a Killer Ant. He went back to killing the monsters with his blade one after the other until he was done for the moment, he bent over to catch his breath for a moment as Lili ran up to him, "are you okay master Bell," she asked him as he began to than start cracking his joints a bit from the fight.

"Yeah, though thank you for using that magic knife you have hidden away to help, not sure if I would have made it out easily if you hadn't," he casually mentioned as he thanked her, with a slight pop to his back he turned and was about to help her collect the magic stones.

"D-D-D-Don't mention it, I wanted to help you out, so…," she trailed off as she saw that he wasn't paying attention to her anymore, so she sighed and began to also pick up stones until they were ready to take a break, they sat in an area safe for monsters to eat some lunch.

It was just some sandwiches that he got from Syr that morning, "magic really is something, huh," Bell commented as took out two sandwiches and handed them to Lili, "you should eat more to keep up your strength, so I thought I'd ask the girl who makes my food for two extra for you."

The girl took it gratefully, "thank you very much," and sat it down for a moment before speaking, "hey, master Bell, would it be okay if I took a day off tomorrow, there's this big familia meeting, and I sorta have to be there, but I know it's a breach of contract so I'll pay the price."

Lili was bowing her head to him, but the boy didn't care, "I don't really care, you need to sort your shit out with your familia anyways so this better help with that, also I'm taking the day off as well, so you're good," they decided to end it early today and headed out of the dungeon. They went out and exchanged the stones, than separated them before going their separate ways for the rest of the day and would meet up the day after, he went back home to strip out of his armor before Bell left to return the box Syr packed his lunch in for the day, "all finished dear Syr."

The pub was empty for the moment to prepare for the coming night, so she wasn't doing much of anything when Bell brought back his lunch box, so nobody but him and the waitresses got to see the smile that she had as the box was returned, "thanks Bell, you're taking a little break today?"

"Yep, got a bit of free time now, especially until tonight, can you think of anything I can do until then," Bell bounced his eyebrows a bit as he asked that last bit, and based on her blush, Syr knew what he was asking, if she wanted to go out again before her shift at the pub tonight.

However they both froze before Syr could answer as to what she wanted to do, they turned around and saw the purple aura coming off of Mama Mia in waves as if saying that today was not a date day that they could take, "I personally would love to but I have work, so how bout this?" She turned around and grabbed a grabbed a faded green, almost gray, book that to have been put as mainly decoration, the title read 'Modern Magic Even a Goblin Can Do', "a customer left it here awhile ago, and I doubt they'll ever be back, why don't you borrow it to read for the day?"

"Sure," he took the offered book, knowing that she probably hid some hidden message in there for him, "I'll be sure to bring it back when I'm done reading it," he assured her before moving in and kissing her cheek before running out and back to the abandoned church that is his home.

At the church he sat some furniture out so that he could read the book, "magic huh," he sat down and opened it to the first page, "let's see…'There are two types of magic: inherited magic, depends on your race and 'Acquired' is determined by a Farna or blessing from a God. Acquired magic must be self-actualized, what interests you, what do you love, hate, desire, grieve, respect, where does your devotion lie, the trigger always manifests from within'," as he read his mind felt something happen to him, as if his reality warped and he felt his head spinning.

When Bell next opened his eyes, he noticed that he was smaller and looking up the stool he used for a chair, "shall we get started," a figure above him that looked like a gray version of himself asked, "what does the word 'magic' mean to me," he asked from behind the real one.

This was clearly meant to make him think or ascertain what he wanted from magic, so he answered honestly how he felt as of now thanks to his skill, "great power, a weapon against weakness, no longer my weakness, but those that appose me," he felt nature around him now.

"What does magic look like to me," he heard his own distorted voice in his ear this time, now it was clearly asking what form that magic should be taking, the physical manifestation of that magic, before now he would have said something like fire that would align with Hestia's divinity.

Yet he wasn't the same Bell as then, he wasn't someone to think like that now, "a vortex of darkness, a swirling pool of energy that sweeps away all in its path and anyone in its way is destroyed," that was all magic was to him now, just another form of attack, to destroy.

"And what is it you seek to become," this time the voice sounded like it was to his left, but bigger, as if Bell was standing on his shadow self's shoulder, that brought about more thought, what did he seek to become, no longer a hero, no longer someone that wanted to be by Ais's side.

So what did he wish to become, he was getting faster, stronger, smarter, and better in every way, steadily becoming more powerful day after day, did he want to now reach the pinnacle of power itself, did he want to be as powerful as a god, did he even care about that amount. He knew he was developing feelings for Syr, but also knew that what he wanted to become shouldn't be driven solely by the woman he wanted to have, but if not that, and no longer a dream to become a hero, wait, since when was that not his dream again, but why didn't he wanna be one? Awe, the skill Psycho, or was it just a skill, was there more power and dealings with the skill than just main aspect of it, there had to be, and if there was, than where would that lead, what could it lead to, a power greater than what he could imagine, could he even come close to that soon.

"I want… to become," Bell took a breath before he opened his eyes and one could tell something else was in them now, a desire, "I want to become the pinnacle of my skill, I want to become the greatest user of such a skill, and I want to become the embodiment of it, a true Psycho Ranger."

Bell opened his eyes to hear his goddess calling out to him, "Bell, Bell," he was hunched over as if he was a puppet with his strings cut, "what's with you," she asked as he noticed the book laying on the ground, apparently he just past out while reading the book, though it was a good dream.

"Sorry, I was just reading a book, but how about a status update since I don't think we've done one in a few days," he suggested and Hestia nodded as he got ready with his shirt off and she got the needle out before hopping on his back, soon he saw the illumination of the status bubble.

"So you were reading some weird book and then you suddenly fell asleep," she surmised as she began adjusting his stats before moving on to his skills and such, "you're so cute, huh," she stopped when she noticed it, "magic… you can… use magic now, and you've updated your skill."

Bell would have shot up if he didn't have an understanding of where his goddess was, so waited until she transcribed his skills onto a page for him to read, he almost didn't want to believe it, but as she was looking at him, it wasn't just a look of awe, it was also a look of apprehension.

Liaris Freese- Fast growth, the effect lasts as long as user maintains his feelings, and increases depending on how strong they are.

He could tell why she was upset, his magic and the new bit at the end of his skill made him sound like a villain of some sort, but yet it refused to say, just what was up with him and his skill, he looked up from the paper to find Hestia on the bed, she patted it for him to sit down next to her.

"Now Bell," she stuck her hand out for the paper and he handed it to her, "I assume you've heard that the only way to make magic work is by reciting a spell, right," he nodded and she went on, "usually when you first gain a magic ability a spell will appear with your status." Hestia stuck a finger up as if to lecture him now, "however, somehow your status isn't telling me anything 'cept for 'quick attack magic', I'm just guessing here, but I think that might mean your magic doesn't require a spell after all, you should probably test it out when you go down tomorrow."

Tomorrow, yeah, it was probably a good thing to try and do it tomorrow when others would also be in the dungeon, "good idea, it's my magic so it's not like it's going anywhere," though, even as he said it he knew that he himself didn't believe his words, "no need to rush," just the desire to.

So at night, when Hestia was asleep and was sure to not awaken, he snuck out without his armor, and chose instead to just take himself as is to the dungeon, without a word he ran to the first floor of the dungeon just to see how far he could push his spell, and just use it for a bit. He soon found a lone Goblin just before a forked path, he raised his left hand steadily and grasped the wrist with his right hand for a bracer, "Dark Vortex," he called out and out from his hands came a black spiral, as big around as himself and as fast as lightning, the monster was gone. It was pulverized and ground into dust, leaving just a magic stone in its wake, the force from the attack was enough to break apart some rock behind the Goblin when it continued from its death, the little Psycho smirked as he witnessed the death and continued on for a light exercise.

Bell wasn't dumb enough to only use his new Dark Vortex, he used all his skills and fought his way down to the 6th floor and almost headed down to the 7th until he decided to stop and breath for a moment, thankfully he wasn't about to suffer a mind down thanks to him being smart. Just in case he took out a mind potion and drank it down in one gulp, he would have continued but then he heard a voice, it didn't sound like anyone he knew, but it said, "wait until they hear this, you defeated a floor boss all by yourself," when they appeared it was Ais and an elf Riveria.

They stopped when they saw him and the dents that were in the ground around him, "what happened," Ais asked when she saw what had happened to the 6th floor, the only one fine was Bell, so obviously he must be the one responsible or at least knew of what happened.

"I just recently got some magic and have been putting it to use in conjunction with my own skills," Bell told them as he also surveyed his handiwork, "good thing I'm not stupid enough to suffer a mind down in the dungeon alone," he commented as he turned around and walked out.

He faintly heard behind him that Riveria commented to herself as well, "all this from skills and magic, I wonder what kind he has," of course the elf would wonder just what his magic was, and he got the feeling that Ais was watching his back intently from where she still stood.

Morning

Bell woke up bright and early, today was still an easy day, and his mind was fully recovered, and yet, when he woke up Hestia was worried, with the book he got from Syr open, "Bell, do you know what this is," he shook his head so Hestia sighed, "it's a Grimoire, a spell book. A book that makes you able to use magic just by reading it, so it's super powerful," he guessed that something was wrong, and he was right when he got his answer, "once the first person reads it, all the power disappears without a trace," she held up the blank book.

His eyebrow was twitching now that she told him that, he knew he should have researched all ways to gain magic, now that he thought about it, Syr specifically gave him this book, that left them with one conclusion, so he calmly stood up, took the book out of Hestia's hands, and left.

Bell tried to at least before Hestia stopped him, "forget it, obviously you have no idea how much a grimoire is worth, it's practically the same as a top-class item from Hephaistos herself, maybe more," that was news to him that left him speechless for a moment, with his mouth gaping. "Listen carefully Bell," she put her right hand on his chest since she couldn't reach his shoulder anymore, "you didn't read this book, understand, not one chapter," she showed him a clearly tired and awkward smile, "I'll take care of this mess somehow, just leave it to me," she took the book.

He quickly snatched it back from her before she could leave and burry it somewhere, "hold up," when she turned around to snatched it back, he held it above her reach, "don't worry, I know the person who gave it to me, I'm gonna go talk to them while you go to work," he quickly left her.

Bell knew exactly where to go, and just who to ask about why he was given such a costly gift, when he got there, he motioned for the girls cleaning the front to be quiet while he sneaked up onto Syr, though, he noticed that it wasn't his Syr, the godly energy was unstable to be her. He assumed it was this Horn that was working right now, so he walked up with a smile on his face until he got to her, her back was to him so he leaned down to whisper into her ear, "I know what she did," she jumped with an 'eep', at his sudden appearance, and slowly turned to him.

"Oi, if you're about to have a talk, do it in the back where I don't have to look at ya," Mama Mia called out, he just smiled and picked her up by the collar before carrying her like a cat to the back so they could talk, at the least explain why Syr wanted so badly for him to have a Grimoire.

When they got back there, he explained the situation with the book, to her credit she tried to save face and put up an act, "oh dear Bell, you've done a seriously terrible thing," he glared at her until she tried to act all cute, "I'm sorry, is there a problem," she asked as he continued to glare.

They heard a loud banging on the back door and Horn ran to answer it, more than likely knowing who it was, he chose not to notice the disappearance of five minutes before his Syr came back into the building, "sorry about that, I would have been here sooner but I over- I mean was busy."

"Huh, now I know one fact is common with both of you," Bell commented before he sighed, his frustration cooling a bit, "on to why I'm here," she pouted a bit, "other than seeing you," she stopped pouting, "why give me something so valuable when my normal powers were enough?"

Syr dropped some of the act and gave him an honest answer, "because it helps, more than you might think," she stepped forward and put a hand to his chest, "and it gives me peace of mind, I don't know what power your skill runs off of, it seems endless, but I don't know it like I do magic. Magic is easy for me to understand as a goddess, its easy to estimate and something that I know, I trust you with any and all things, but I just wanted extra assurances that something I know works, will be with you," she looked deep into his eyes as she answered him, fully truthful.

He gazed down at her for a moment longer before he sighed, knowing that she was right from her point of view, "fine," he wrapped his arms around her and brought her closer to him, "my complaint was only at the cost of such a thing anyway, not that you gave it to me."

"Oh," now the girl sounded like she understood, "it wasn't that much of a spend, I have a whole bookshelf of them in Babel," she giggled in his arms when she felt him stiffen, that meant her goddess side was loaded enough to support that and maybe more, now he knew he was lucky.

They stayed like that for a bit before he had to leave to go meet up with Lili for another day in the Dungeon, he kissed her cheek quickly again and blinked out of sight a few times before running for the entrance to the dungeon, getting to the fountain just after Lili was taken by a beast-man. Bell did a quick scan with his eyes and found her being forced into doing something she didn't want to do, with a scan of the area and a focus on their sound, he found out the plan that was told to her, and it was a good plan, for anyone else that wasn't him, and she should know it.

"Hey there," the same guy in a red jacket from a few nights ago approached him casually, "so you hired the little street meat, did ya, I guess you must have figured out what's going on then, huh," the guy guessed, it was clear he wanted something, but Bell just raised an eyebrow at him. "Oh, don't even, check this out, I can help you get back at her," he leaned in as if to share a secret, "I mean you do want a piece of everything she's been stashin' away, don't ya," he tried to put his arm around the shoulders of Bell, but the guy quickly found himself bent over with his arm up.

"Let me make myself clear, I don't care what she does in her free time, nor if you idiots get scammed unknowingly, cause you idiots are to stupid not to let it happen," Bell put more pressure on the arm he was holding, "I suggest you stop with trying to get back at her, take your loss."

Bell shoved the man away as he also sent a kick to the guy's ass to topple him over and make him run away like a coward, "master Bell," he turned and saw Lili standing there, "so that adventurer guy, what were the two of you talking about," she asked of her partner.

"He wanted me to betray you for your stash, told him to piss off since he was too weak to do anything but get taken advantage of by you anyway," he said honestly as he saw the look in her eyes, "let me guess, lure me deeper into the dungeon than just Floor 9 to steal from me." It was clear the girl didn't want to say anything, knowing what was about to happen and what would happen should she say anything at all, but also knew that he was too strong to not notice anything, and already knew anyway, so she nodded with such a sad and depressed look. "Figured, oh well, can't do anything about it but spring the trap, right, should be fun to see what I can do against other adventurers like that," he just couldn't help but start to make a chordal in the back of his throat, that soon turned to a giggle, and then to a full-blown laughter now.

Lili began to wonder what was so funny, than she remembered that he might actually be crazy, but he also wasn't going to just go down without a fight, so she had to bring up a fact, "but there are at least four of them master Bell, all armed with stolen tools," she had to warn him about it.

Bell continued to laugh, even though he heard her, "hahahahaha, I know, this is going to be a bit more fun than I first thought," they began making their way down the dungeon, there wasn't that many monsters as they made their way down, they reached the spot they wanted, floor 10.

The entire place was filled with a dense, white fog with tall, white grass, and dead looking trees, everything looked to be painted white, and soon they heard footsteps, heavy footfalls that soon revealed itself to be an Orc, a huge pig-headed monster, "that's our first Orc," Lili commented.

"Get those monster lures ready," he commanded as he brought out his Psycho Silverizer, and the Orc ripped a tree from the ground and became a club for it, the monster swung down from an overhead position, but Bell dodged with a roll to the left before righting himself. He sent a wave of lightning out to hit the thing's face, it raised a right arm to block, but that blinded it for a moment and gave Bell enough time to jump up stab downward into the chest of it, that hurt it, but what killed it was when he pulled the trigger and started blasting into the Orc.

"Master Bell, there's another one," Lili warned as another Orc came into view and began with a raised club to swing from side to side, it was quickly dispatched when a wave of Dark Vortex was sent through its head, the squishing sound of red and white orbs hitting the ground came.

These were the monster lures that Lili had to throw out to betray him, he grinned when he immediately saw two Orcs coming for him, he jumped up high to slam down onto one before holding up his left forearm spinning with the incoming club that knocked into his arm. When he righted himself he saw that the arm bracer was gone, "and I was just getting used to the color," he commented before firing rapid blasts at the monster to bring it down to its knees, when that happened, he shoved the tip of his sword through its mouth and out the back of its head.

When he pulled it out, four projectiles were shot at him, two broke the straps of his pouch and another two grabbed onto his pouch and Psycho Silverizer before both were reeled in by the one who fired them, "sorry master Bell… I really am, but this is it for you," Lili said before leaving him.

"I know how to find you ya know, and about your situation, you will pay," he called after her as she ran, clearly not trusting him to take care of her situation and didn't know to fear him, so he'd make her see why he was to be feared, even as more Orcs came in, all he did was to grin. Three more Orcs came in to fight him, he barely cared about it though and began preparing his power, with a flick of his wrist his Psycho Silverizer was back in his right hand, he moved to the right and began firing blasts at the Orc closest before moving in and shoving the blade into its heart. Unlike the other times, this was added to the damage by the constant firing blasts that he had shot at the thing, so it died easily before he jumped to the next and had to dodge the swing from its club with a spin in mid air until he got to it and stabbed it through the throat. This Orc began choking on its own blood as Bell jumped back to not get hit when another Orc slammed its club down onto the choking one to try and smash him to, but he landed easily before having to duck from a side swiping club from another Orc, that came up behind him.

"Just about had it with you monsters," he raised his left hand and chanted, "Dark Vortex," and shot a blast of swirling black magic out of his hand that went straight through and took the head off of one Orc as the one that was behind him lifted the club for another swing, it never did. Because the young psycho just aimed directly behind him and fired into its gut before backflipping high into the air and slamming the top of his right foot onto the head of the monster before shooting lightning into its face and to scorch its eyes, forcing it to go blind, before beheading it.

A few more Orcs were coming but for some reason Ais just showed up, he wasn't sure why but he took this chance that she just gave him and used his skill to turn himself into hard light and jumped to the exit of this floor, leaving the soon to be even more confused Ais behind. He had more important things to take care of, so he didn't bother dealing with the monsters that showed up in his path, just ran past until he got right to where he was sure they were, and he was right, Lili kneeling on the ground beaten as three other adventurers stood over her.

He heard a fat one say, "uh-oh, in trouble again, aren't ya," as a swarm of Killer Ants started to gather, the fat one leaned down just to her right, "but we're all in the same Familia, so just gimme what you got… and you'll be free to go," he held up her magic knife to emphasize this. Before much else could be said or done, the young Psycho grinned and thrust his index finger out and blue energy streamed from it, entangling the fat man's hands, "what the hell," and then forced them together, the light solidifying into a set of cuffs that bound his hands together.

The other two turned to him just in time for Bell to arrive and used his Psycho Silverizer to slice through the stomach of one of the adventurers while the other, a blue shirt one that picked up Lili's support pack, reached for his own blade, but was soon proven useless as he was stabbed. "You know, I thought we had an understanding, I help you fight these guys off and you get to stay being a stable supporter," Bell pulled his blade out of the guy's chest and turned to the guy with a kneeling Lili beside of him, she began to teer up at him as he arrived just in time to help. "Seems I need to teach you as to why that's a bad idea to try again," he looked at all the Killer Ants that had gathered around them, and began to gather his energy into his hands, and then summoned forth a storm of lightning from his hands and began electrocuting all of them. The stream went on for quite some time until he heard the sounds of them starting to die off, than Bell started to cut the power, and by the time he did, all of the Ants were dead, so he walked over to the girl and asked her, "now, why the hell did you do all of this anyways?"

Lili sniffed at what he was asking, knowing that she couldn't hide from this anymore, "because you're just an adventurer, a lousy scum of people, always pushing me around as if you're better than me, always only giving me scraps when I did just as much work, I thought you'd be one too. Yet you weren't, you were fair and when I stole from you, you still just docked my pay from an even half to just make it sixty forty, you divided everything else equally after that," teers streamed steadily down her cheeks now, "I just don't understand you, why would you do that?"

Bell looked down at her, he almost felt pity for her, hell he did feel pity for her, "if you think being treated fairly is some great thing, than the life you lived till now just sucked, huh," he bent down to her level and looked her in the eyes, "well guess what, you're not gonna live like that now."

"But why, why would you still come back and save me when you know good and well you should've left me to die master Bell," Lili clearly still refused to understand his logic, "I mean, you've caught me stealing from you, at times hiding more magic stones from you to cash in." She stood up now, her voice breaking, "I just don't understand, I pocketed enough money to make up for the even split you gave me, and other times it was sixty forty, thankfully you never asked me for items so I never told you they cost double, plus I said terrible things about you! Why are you still not letting me die or killing me yourself, I'm a terrible person, I'm a thief, I'm a wretched little prum who's only ever lied to you, but you still saved my life in spite of all of that, why in the hell are you like this, I just don't understand why after everything, why?!"

He couldn't help it, he laughed in her face at her question and everything she said, it was just too funny, "HAHAHAHAHAHA," it got worse when she started hitting him repeatedly for laughing at her, "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA," she just couldn't understand something like this, not at all. When he had enough he grabbed her wrists and tried to calm down, "I can't tell if it's funny or sad that you can't tell the difference when someone is being kind or just treating you fairly before you betray them," she calmed a bit down, "but the only thing I want from you is to be yourself Lili." She froze when he said that, but the teers just began flowing harder, "I don't care whether the real you is a liar, a cheater, or someone that stabs people in the back, I only care if you're true to yourself and don't lie to be who you're not, just be you."

She couldn't take it anymore and began to cry harder and openly while jumping into his arms, he held her as she cried for a bit, and when she wasn't looking, a quick shot to the skull of the fat adventurer that attacked her made sure nobody knew that she was alive, only that she was safe. It would take a while for her to acclimate to being his supporter, but eventually she'll get use to his way of thinking, the fact that she'll received fair treatment as long as she acts as herself, and eventually she might truly become like him, maybe someday she'll become his Psycho Supporter.
