Chapter 19 – Accepted and Rejected
Esme stared at the documents listing Nelle as the new owner of Wyndemere, then up at Nelle, then back to the documents, with her mouth open in disbelief.
Esme: No way!
Nelle: Yes!
Esme: How did you manage to get Ava to sell it to you? The place is worth millions!
Nelle: I didn't have to do much. She didn't want it. It reminded her too much of Nikolas. I'm not sure if it was because she still had feelings for him, or she was too traumatized by everything that happened while they were married, much of which you had a part in, but she needed a fresh start somewhere new. She practically gave it to me, especially after learning that it would be offered as a place for struggling young parents who otherwise would be homeless to live. Which is the same way I managed to get Michael to sell me the house that we're currently living in, which had previously been the Dawn of Day house.
Esme: And you did this without them knowing they were selling it to you, given your history with both Michael and Ava?
Nelle: I did!
Esme: How?
Nelle: I have my ways. Or should I say, my "sway". The phrase "charitable cause" has a huge influence, especially when it comes to helping kids. That's how we've managed to bring in so much money, as you and Leann saw for yourselves that day at Rice Plaza, and you brought Ace and Henry with you.
Esme: Forgive me for bringing this up, but you don't exactly have the best reputation. I wouldn't be mentioning this if I weren't a Trusted Member, and you were my sponsor even though it wasn't something you don't normally do, and we've been open with each other about our troubled pasts and the bad decisions we've both made.
Nelle: Don't worry, I'm well aware of my past actions and their consequences. But very few people in this town have stellar reputations. How do you suppose Sonny Corinthos has managed to have such an influence in this town given the fact that he kills people for a living? Because he's balanced it out by contributing to noble causes. He funded an entire wing at General Hospital dedicated to fighting AIDS in memory of a friend of his, among other contributions.
Esme: Very true. But still, Wyndemere…
*She continues to look over the documents*
Nelle: Don't tell me you're having second thoughts about wanting to live there?
Esme: Oh, no, I'm looking forward to it! Even though I know I won't be the only one living there, as long I won't have to deal with Nikolas or Ava, I'm happy.
Nelle: I'm glad to hear that. Unfortunately, we won't be moving in right away.
Esme: How come?
Nelle: I'm giving the place a thorough renovation. Making some much needed repairs as well as redecorating. Ava had the place redecorated to make it more appealing to potential buyers, but she didn't need to go to the trouble. And the changes she made were so UGLY! When the work is done, there will be no trace of Ava ever having lived there. It will be all ours!
*Esme smiles*
Esme: I know you're probably sick of hearing this, especially from me, but thank you!
Nelle: My pleasure! Anything for my sister.
*They hug*
THE NEXT DAY
Trina Robinson faced a difficult decision. She had just found out that she had been accepted into the art program at the Sorbonne in Paris. Classes were to start in only a few weeks. She loved art, but she also loved Spencer, even though she knew that her family, especially her mother Portia, never approved of him and most likely never would. Portia insisted that Trina could do better, and that she never trusted Spencer.
Trina was with her best friend, Josslyn Jacks, in their dorm at PCU, sharing the good news.
Joss: Eeee! This is so exciting! I'm so happy for you Trina.
Trina: Thanks, and yes, it is. *She looks down*
Joss: What's wrong?
Trina: I have mixed feelings about it. It's true I love art. I think everybody knows that. That's why I'm working at Ava's gallery, and going to the Sorbonne would be a great honor. But it is in France, which would mean me not getting as much time to spend with everybody save for holiday breaks.
Joss: Um, hello? It's almost 2024! We have so many ways of communicating over long-distance!
Trina: I know, but it's just not the same thing. Some people are able to do the whole long-distance thing and not think there's anything weird about it, and it's just the way they've worked out their arrangement. But it's easier if you're with somebody who is committed solely to you, and is waiting for the day when you return from wherever you are so you can be with each other again. There's a great deal of trust going into something like that. If I was with any other guy, I don't think I'd be feeling like this. But I'm with Spencer Cassadine, who we both know is a big man-child, and is in no shape to be a father to Ace, biology aside. And although we have some wonderful times together when things are going well, we also do argue a lot, and the first person whom he seems to turn to when things get difficult, aside from his grandmother Mayor Collins and his aunt Alexis, is Esme. Despite everything she did to me, and everything she's put him through, it hasn't stopped him from completely cutting her out of his life.
Now I could understand if he were Ace's father and they were having to co-parent, him needing to have periodic contact with Esme. As long as she steered clear of me, I'd be fine. But Ace is his brother, not his son. And yes, now I know that my no-nonsense, tough-talking, yet still extremely loving, devoted Dad isn't my biological father, and I know that not every man who is worthy of the title of "Dad" is biologically related to any of his children, and sometimes by choice, but I don't want Spencer to get custody of Ace, as he has ulterior reasons for doing so. It would be different if Spencer was wanting to get custody purely as a means of giving Ace the best quality of life possible, but I know he's still doing it to get back as his own father for abandoning him when he needed him the most.
Joss: Well, even if it means the two of you part ways, I think he'd be willing to still be friends.
Trina: Really Joss? I'm not sure. We do fight a lot, though I also remember the good times we've had with nothing but fond memories. So I really am torn.
Joss: Well, I think you should ask the other people in your life whom you're close to, especially your mom and Taggert. They know you better than anyone else.
Trina: I hope so.
Joss: So, what are you going to do?
Trina: What you just said; ask the people who matter to me. And this includes you.
Joss: Oh great, I should've specifically told you to not include me!
Trina: Well too late, you're one of my best friends and I value your opinion. So, given the long distance and the workload, do you think I should break up with Spencer?
*Joss hesitates*
Trina: Well?
Joss: I'm trying to think of what my own mom would insist that I do. And I know she'd insist, not advise, and she often lets her personal opinions cloud her judgement.
Trina: Are you sure that isn't just her looking out for her daughter?
Joss: You're probably right. But, taking my mom and I out of the picture, Spencer and I have been friends since we were kids, along with Cam, which you of course already know. I personally think that as long as you and Spencer are happy together, there's no reason why you should end your relationship. You're only going to be there for four months.
Trina: I know. *Sigh* Okay, thanks Joss.
Joss: So, does this mean you're staying together?
Trina: I'm not sure.
Trina headed over to Ava Jerome's art gallery to start her shift. Regardless of whether she and Spencer were to stay together, she still was going to have to tell Ava about her being accepted at the Sorbonne. It would be bittersweet news, as Ava loved Trina and would no doubt be sad that she was leaving, but would also be proud of her and wish her well.
*Trina enters the Jerome Gallery*
Ava Jerome: Trina, hi!
Trina: Hi Ava. *Sigh*
Ava: You okay Trina?
Trina: Yes. Well, no. I've been accepted into the art program at the Sorbonne in Paris.
Ava: Trina, that's wonderful! Why do you look so sad?
Trina: Because it would mean that I'd have to leave my job here, which I really enjoy.
Ava: I know, and I enjoy having you here, and would miss you very much.
Trina: I feel the same way. I appreciate everything you've done for me. You've been there for me during some of my most difficult times.
Ava: Well, things definitely wouldn't be the same around here without you. Especially because…
Trina: I know. You're thinking about Kiki aren't you.
Ava: Yes. I miss her every day. I can't believe it's been five years already that I lost her. No parent should outlive their child.
Trina: I know, it's very sad. I'm just glad that Ryan is finally dead, and Esme and Ace are finally out of our lives!
Ava: That reminds me, what about Spencer?
Trina: *Sigh* I don't know. That's my other dilemma about whether I really want to do this.
Ava: Well, you of course know how I feel about Spencer, but at the same time, I know you love him.
Trina: I do, but I do get frustrated with him because even though from what I hear, Ace is in good hands at All Our Children, Spencer still is determined to get custody of him! He says he's protecting his brother from Esme and that Ace will be safe with him. But honestly he needs to let it go and move on.
Ava: I know. All Our Children is a wonderful organization, and in fact that reminds me, remember how I told you that I found a buyer for Wyndemere?
Trina: Yes.
Ava: Well, they're the buyers!
Trina: Wow, really?
Ava: Yes. They have so many members who otherwise wouldn't have a roof over their heads that they found it necessary to purchase a new building that could house them. Everybody will get a nice, luxurious room, the children have much more room to run around and play outside, there's a stable and from what I hear, they're going to offer riding lessons as a form of healing therapy. And I honestly didn't want or need the money, I just wanted to be rid of it. So I accepted the initial offer they made me. It was a win-win!
Trina: Wow! That's amazing!
Ava: Yes. It's true that Wyndemere and Spoon Island have a dark history, but I'm hoping this will be the start of a new era. That house, and those grounds, are WAY too big for a single family. By selling it to them, it will hopefully be utilized to its fullest potential.
Trina: Yeah. Although this could mean that Esme would potentially be moving back there.
Ava: So what? After being locked in that tower for all those months, I don't think she'd want to ever step foot on that island again, let alone the mansion. But even if she does move back there, it's not like we're ever moving back there.
Trina: True.
Ava: And this is all the more reason why I think you should leave Spencer behind in Port Charles and go attend that art program at the Sorbonne. I will miss you, but it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Trina: You're right.
Ava: But I'll of course support you in whatever decision you make. For all we know, now that Esme and Ace are out of his life, Spencer can fully commit himself to you, and you'll bring out the best in him.
Trina: I hope so.
That evening, Trina walked in through the front door of her mom's house, with her acceptance letter in hand, to find her mom and her great aunt Stella at the dining room table.
Trina: Hi Mom! Hi Aunt Stella!
Portia: Trina, hi!
Stella: Trina!
*They all hug*
Stella: What a lovely surprise! What brings you by?
Portia: Yeah, I thought you and Joss were going to be hanging out after work?
Trina: We were, but something came up that I wanted to talk to you about.
*She spots the concerned look in Stella's eyes*
Trina: Oh, don't worry, it's nothing bad, just something I could use some advice about.
*Stella puts a hand to her heart*
Stella: Oh, thank goodness!
Trina: Where's Curtis?
Portia: He and your grandfather should be on their way home from physical therapy.
*Trina helps set the table for dinner. She finishes right as Curtis and Marshall arrive; Marshall pushing Curtis's wheelchair over to the table.
Curtis: Oh, hi Trina!
Marshall: Trina! I wasn't expecting to see you today!
*She hugs both of them*
Trina: How are you doing?
Curtis: Better now that you're here!
Trina: Uh oh, I hope nothing went wrong.
Marshall: We're just taking it slow and steady.
Curtis: Now that being said…
*Trina, Portia, and Stella watch nervously as Curtis, with Marshall's help, slowly gets up out of his wheelchair, walks over to the table, and sits down in his favorite chair.*
Marshall: You alright son?
Curtis: Never better Pop!
Marshall: We've been practicing that all afternoon.
Trina: This is amazing! You're going to be walking again in no time.
Curtis: I've got to remain careful but focused. Taking it literally one step at a time.
Trina: Still, this is very encouraging!
*They begin eating*
Marshall: So Trina, I'm assuming that you're not here simply for catching up with your family.
Trina: Well, it is good to see you all, obviously, but you're right. I came here to share something that I thought would be better if I shared in person.
*She shows her family her acceptance letter.*
Portia: Trina, this is amazing!
Curtis: Congratulations Trina!
Marshall: Very happy for you Trina!
Stella: What a wonderful opportunity! I'm assuming you're going?
Trina: I haven't entirely made up my mind of whether or not I'll be going.
Portia: Why not honey?
Trina: I think you know why not.
Portia: Let me guess, Spencer?
Trina: Yeah.
Stella: Oh lord!
Portia: Well, honey, you know how I feel about Spencer. Honestly Trina, I really don't know what it is you see in him. He's let you down and taken advantage of your kindness so many times, and you keep forgiving him!
Trina: Trust me Mom, I too have my limits. Yes, he can be very sweet and charming one minute, and a complete jerk the next. I just…I feel bad for him. Taking the fact that he's a Cassadine out of the picture, he's a very troubled guy who grew up without a mother and a father who wasn't there when he needed him most.
Portia: I know, and it's very unfortunate. But honey, opportunities like this don't happen very often. You should take advantage of this! You love art!
Trina: I know. I also love Spencer.
Marshall: I understand that you love him Trina, and even though he's a troubled young man, I can see that he loves you. But Trina, you can't be with Spencer and attend art school in France at the same time.
Curtis: Well, I don't know about that, I mean they can always video chat.
Stella: But there's a six-hour time difference between here and France! I remember how hard it was to keep in contact with everybody when I was living with Wanda in London. By the time everybody here was waking up in the morning, they'd be winding down with their evening tea. And that was only a five-hour time difference.
Curtis: That's true Trina. If you want to do well in that art program you're going to need your rest.
Portia: I'll be right back.
*Portia gets up from the table and goes to the kitchen. Trina leans back in her chair and sees her mother taking out her phone and texting someone.*
Stella: Don't lean back like that Trina, you gonna fall and hit your head. Your mother already has her hands full with Curtis needing physical therapy.
Curtis: Auntie…
Stella: I'm just saying. Look Trina, you're an adult. You're still very young, but you're an adult. Us old folks can offer advice until we drop dead, but at the end of the day, we can't force you to do anything.
Marshall: That's right Trina. And part of "adulting" as you young folks call it now is making your own decisions.
*Portia walks back to the table and sits down*
Portia: That's right. But I will say this. The human brain doesn't fully mature until your late-20s, and there still is a lot of stuff about life that you need to learn, and part of that is not making reckless decisions. And I'm not saying that you make reckless decisions, as you have a very good head on your shoulders, which I'm very proud of. But even so, there are things I did when I was your age that I would never dream of doing now, simply because I'm more mature and have learned from my mistakes. And because of that, I can help you not make the same mistakes I made when I was your age.
*Trina's phone makes the notification sound*
Portia: And on that note, you should probably read that message you just got.
*Trina takes out her phone and looks at the message*
Message: Meet me at the Haven Bistro after dinner. I have something important that I need to talk to you about.
Trina: I'm really sorry, but I have to go.
Stella: Let me guess, Spencer?
Trina and Portia: No.
*They both look at each other awkwardly*
Trina: Sorry. I really wish I could stay longer, but there's somewhere I really need to be. Love you all, bye!
*She rushes out the door before they have a chance to say goodbye back.*
Marshall: Now where's she off to in such a hurry?
Portia: To deal with the fallout from one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made.
Trina arrived at the Bistro to find Marcus Taggert seated at the table in the back. It had been months since she last saw him prior to him entering treatment for his alcoholism, which he'd relapsed into when he learned that Trina wasn't his biological daughter. Taggert was more than a little rough around the edges but nonetheless was a devoted father to Trina, and the news that he wasn't her biological father hit him quite hard
Three years earlier he had been forced to fake his death in order to protect his daughter from Cyrus Renault. It was one of the hardest things he'd ever had to do and knew how hard it had been for Trina. Initially she was mad at him when she learned about what he'd done but forgave him not long afterwards. So, finding out that he wasn't Trina's biological father made them both feel like they'd lost each other all over again.
Trina: Hi Dad!
Taggert: There's my baby girl!
Trina: Who are you calling 'baby girl'? I'm 22!
Taggert: I know, but you'll always be my baby girl.
Trina: I know.
*They hug*
Trina: How are you?
Taggert: Well, hearing the results of that DNA test was rough, as you and I both know. I handled it the wrong way by drinking, and unfortunately it resulted in me being declined the role of Police Commissioner despite Jordan going to bat for me, but I've been attending AA meetings and am seven months sober as of earlier this week.
Trina: That's great Dad!
Taggert: But we're here to talk about you. Your mom messaged me with the news that you'd been accepted at the Sorbonne in France, and you needing to decide whether to pursue your dreams of a career as an artist or remain in Port Charles with Spencer.
Trina: Well, it's not exactly one or the other. We can stay together, it would just be long distance, and we would video chat with each other when I'm not in class, and-
*Taggert is shaking his head*
Taggert: Trina, you can't do that.
Trina: Why not?
Taggert: Because, as I'm sure everyone else has already pointed out, you need time to study, and you need time to sleep, and you can't do either of those if you're chatting with someone six hours behind you. It is…
*He checks his watch*
Taggert: A little after 6:30 PM. You know what time it is in France right now? 12:30 AM. That's already quite late. I'd imagine Spencer would be finishing up dinner right about now and would just now be signing on to talk to you. I'm not sure how long the two of you typically chat with each other when you're not together in person, but I'd imagine it would be at least four hours. Trina, you can't be staying up that late if you want to be well-rested for your classes.
Trina: *Sigh* You're right.
Taggert: And I'd be saying this regardless of who you were dating.
Trina: But I'm guessing you have an issue with me and Spencer dating?
Taggert: You know that your mother and I aren't his biggest fans, but we tolerate him because we love you, and we want to see you happy. But I have to ask you Trina, are you happy with Spencer?
Trina: *Sigh* Yes and no. We have had many good moments, but there have also been many times where we've argued and-
Taggert: Trina, all couples argue every now and then. It sounds to me like you and Spencer have had an on-and-off relationship.
Trina: Yes, we have.
Taggert: But that's not what bothers me the most. From what it sounds like, a good deal of the fights that you and Spencer have stem from his continued association with Esme Prince, who I honestly think should be in prison right now for what she did to you and your friends, and more recently, nearly died from a drug overdose.
Trina: Yes, Esme is often the reason why Spencer and I fight, and why we've broken up before. But from what I've heard, Esme and Ace are both receiving support from All Our Children. They're both out of our lives and we can finally move on.
Taggert: Are they though? Because from what I hear, Spencer is still determined to get custody of a child that isn't his, and I know I sound like a massive hypocrite right now, and you can tell me I am and it won't bother me at all. The difference between me and Spencer Cassadine is that I've always known you to be my daughter, and that hasn't changed despite the results of that DNA test. Spencer Cassadine on the other hand, has always known that Ace isn't his son, and under normal circumstances I have tremendous respect for any man who desires to step up and be a dad to a kid whose biological father either is incapable of being one or isn't around at all. But Spencer is doing this for all the wrong reasons. He doesn't love Ace, and he never has.
Trina: I'm sure he cares about him.
Taggert: He might care about him as a brother, but at the same time he resents him. Why? Because unlike Spencer, Ace's mother is alive, and even though she most definitely is a horrible influence in his life, she nonetheless has been in his life from day 1, not counting the time she was pregnant with him. Spencer meanwhile grew up without his mother, and ever since Nikolas let him believe he was dead for three years, Spencer has been determined to punish his father.
Trina: Yeah, that's pretty accurate, unfortunately.
Taggert: Now most people who grow up with a toxic parent would, as they say, "go no contact" with said parent the moment they turn 18. If Spencer were to do that, he'd commit himself fully to you. But Spencer wants payback, hence why he is so determined to get custody of Ace, and destroy his father in the process. And if he did get custody, he would have to co-parent Ace with Esme, and therefore, Esme would be a continued presence in your lives, even though she and Spencer are no longer a couple. And as your dad, I can't stand the thought of my daughter having to regularly deal with the woman who secretly recorded your friends having sex, distributed the video to everyone at PCU, and tried to frame you for revenge porn!
Trina: *Sigh* You're right.
Taggert: I'm sorry if I'm sounding harsh, but that's how I feel. I worry about you, and I always will. Why? Because you're my daughter, and I love you.
Trina: It's okay Dad, I understand, and I love you too.
Taggert: Come here.
*Trina walks around the table to where Taggert is, and the two of them hug.*
After saying goodbye to her dad, Trina made her way back to the PCU dorm. Spencer was waiting for her at the doorway to her dorm room.
Spencer: Trina!
Trina: Hey.
Spencer: I heard that you got accepted at the Sorbonne!
Trina: Yes, I did.
Spencer: That's excellent! I was trying to find you so we could celebrate! You're going to go, right?
Trina: Possibly.
Spencer: Trina, what's wrong?
Trina: I don't know if I want to go to the Sorbonne.
Spencer: Why not? You love art, and this would be an amazing opportunity.
Trina: I know Spencer. But it's in France. If I were to go, we'd have to break up.
Spencer: Why?
Trina: Because long-distance relationships don't work.
Spencer: So, I'll go with you! It doesn't have to be long-distance.
Trina: That's right, it doesn't.
Spencer: So what's the problem? I've been to France many times! That's where I went to school!
Trina: I know, and that's what bothers me! It's where you and Esme met.
Spencer: You're going to the Sorbonne, not Ecole Internationale De Chatel. Besides, Esme lives in Port Charles now. I can fly back to Port Charles on weekends to visit Ace.
Trina: I know, and that's what I have an issue with.
Spencer: Why?
Trina: Because your continuing to obsess over Ace, and by extension, Esme.
Spencer: I care about Ace's safety and well-being. I've hired a new lawyer who has an excellent record of getting people custody of their children.
Trina: Ace isn't your son, Spencer, he's your brother! You are under no obligation to care for him. From what I've heard, Ace is being looked after by a parenting support organization while Esme is finally getting help for her issues. At this point, I just want to forget about her and move on with my life.
Spencer: So do I! That's why I'm trying to get custody!
Trina: No, Spencer. You're trying to get custody in order to get back at your father for letting you believe he was dead for three years. You know what I would do in your situation? Go completely no-contact! I had a long talk with my dad earlier this evening, and that's what he said most people would do. You have a toxic father who had a baby with his son's EX-girlfriend! It's sickening to think about, but at the end of the day, it's no longer any of your business. Most guys would be relieved if the baby whom their toxic ex-girlfriend is insisting that they are the father of and demanding child support payments for turns out to not be their child after all. Esme isn't doing that, and in fact, she's doing the exact opposite. She's distancing herself from everyone and being involved with that parenting group. I haven't seen her since she moved out of the apartment above Bobbie's. I'd be happy if I never saw her again. And I don't understand why you're still obsessing over Ace.
Spencer: Because Ace is my family.
Trina (through gritted teeth): He's your brother Spencer, not your son! If you're lucky, you might see him at Cassadine family gatherings, but only if Nikolas gets partial custody, which he currently doesn't have and isn't likely to get. Now, If you'll excuse me, I need to get to bed. I'm very tired. I'm tired because it's been a long day, and equally tired of your continued obsession with a kid who isn't yours!
*Trina enters the dorm room and slams the door in Spencer's face.*
Spencer slowly made his way down the hall with his head hung low. His relationship had suddenly ended, and he was very confused as to the reason why. As he walked, he began to hear voices in his head, which he wasn't sure if it was simply his mind playing tricks on him or something else. After all, he had often heard these voices speaking similar words, but only while he was dreaming.
Esme's voice: Wow, Spence, that was amazing!
Spencer's voice: Well, savor it, because this is the last time we're ever making love, if you can even call what we have love. We're through.
Esme's voice: What do you mean we're through?
Spencer's voice: I mean, our relationship is officially over! And what happened just now shouldn't have happened!
Esme's voice: But it did happen, Spence! You obviously still find me attractive.
Spencer's voice: You are beautiful, Esme, I will give you that. But it's all on the surface. You're beautiful, intelligent, and charming on the outside, but cool and menacing underneath. And I've had enough!
Esme's voice: Okay, fine, if that's what you really want. It doesn't matter to me anyway. I've already moved on.
Spencer's voice : What do you mean?
Esme's voice: I found someone else.
Spencer's voice: Um, alright. When you say you've found someone else, does this mean you've just met this guy and are going on dates?
Esme's voice: Oh I've known him for quite a while now. He is way more of a man than you are. He's given me what I'm not getting from you, because you're not man enough. At least, not until a few minutes ago. But it's too late Spence! Like I've said, I've moved on.
Spencer's voice: You're telling me this NOW?! After we just had sex?! Please tell me you were being safe about it.
Esme's voice: Oh don't worry, he didn't give me anything that I would later give to you, if that's what you were wondering.
Spencer's voice: How do you know?
Esme voice: Oh I know. Like I said, I've known this guy for a while now.
Spencer's voice: Still, you should've told me you were seeing someone else Esme!
Esme's voice: And who gave you permission to tell me who I can and can't see?
Spencer's voice: I don't give a damn who you see! I don't care how many guys you've been with! You could've been with a hundred guys and I still wouldn't care! What I care about is my health! Had I known you were seeing someone else, I would've come prepared! In fact, no, forget that, I wouldn't come within a hundred feet of you! Ugh, I can't believe this. The thought of touching you right now physically repulses me!
Esme's voice: But you just did a few minutes ago. Obviously I'm not that repulsive.
Spencer's voice: Esme, you just told me you were having unprotected sex with this other guy, and that you're "getting what you want" from him! Are you at least still taking the pill?
Esme's voice: Oh that's no longer any of your concern, Spence! As of a couple minutes ago, I am, officially, no longer your girlfriend.
Spencer's voice: Are you taking the pill or not? Answer me! ANSWER ME!
Esme's voice: Wow Spence! Such aggression! Now you're finally becoming a man! Maybe you've finally given me what I've been wanting from you all this time...
*Esme's voice fades away as Spencer snaps back to reality.*
Spencer: DAMMIT!
*He angrily kicks the wall, leaving a big hole.*
