Wonder Woman 2017 Part 8
Okay back to the mission, also Pyrrha really does suspect James Ironwood is really Ares after hearing his small speech to her.

Next day at the town square, the morning sun looks brighter to Pyrrha than normal. She smiles and then turns to see the team, Jaune dressed in a Atlesian Uniform once more and they're rounded up with horses that they will be using for travel.
"Oh so Jaune will go back posing as a Atlas Soldier", Pyrrha said.
"Yes, but don't worry about happened when Jaune stole the notebook, because Ilia and James never saw his face anyway", Hakaze assures them all that no one will suspect Jaune because they never caught a glimpse of his face anyway.
"Then that's good news for him", James said knowing it should be no problem.
"The villagers gave them to us", Flynt said that the villagers gave them the horses they needed.
"It's a gracious gift", Sun said next.
"They called us heroes", Flynt said it's because of their actions on saving the village even though, Pyrrha did most of the job for them anyway.
"You are", Pyrrha said then everyone looks at her.
The way she says it, Flynt and Sun believe it and it feels very good. Flynt smiles at Neptune who forces a smile back, struggling to agree with all of it.
"Just agree with it Neptune", Sun said to him.
"Alright." Neptune said agreeing.
"Everyone, I'm fully aware that I said that this job was two days only", Jaune remembers what he said before because it will be extended now.
"You would get lost without us Jaune", Sun said to him knowing Jaune won't make it alone without them.
"Yeah, we know Pyrrha's capable of looking after herself, but I'm worried you wouldn't make it", Flynt commented.
"There's no more money, boys", Jaune said that there is no more pay now while Flynt pets his horse with a smile.
"We've been paid enough already Jaune", Flynt said and Sun nods, but Pyrrha spots Neptune's hesitation.
"If you're coming too, Neptune, perhaps you'll sing more for us", Pyrrha said and ask him to sing again. "I actually enjoyed it very much", Pyrrha said in truth and Neptune brightens at a rare compliment coming from Pyrrha.
"Ah! No! Don't encourage him!" Flynt tries to get Pyrrha not get Neptune to sing, but despite his protests, Neptune starts to sing loudly but joyfully as the team moves on.
Off Pyrrha, moved by the continued goodness she's discovering within these unlikely men.
"Oh come on Flynt", Neon scold him while some snicker.
"I think it's because I heard enough already", Flynt makes his excuse.
"Hey but my singing is not too bad", Neptune said to him but Flynt turns away from him.
"It is Neptune", Weiss said to him which gave him a blush.
"Thanks Weiss."
"She's a real life Amazon?" Neptune ask after Jaune explains what Pyrrha is while she leads the men on horseback. They trail behind. Pyrrha turns, smiles, unaware Jaune has just told them all about her.
"That's the craziest story I ever heard!" Neptune said to everyone else not convince of what Jaune is saying.
"Wait. There's a whole island of women like her? And not a single man among them? How do we get there?" Flynt asked about it to Jaune knowing he wanted to check it out.
"You're not their type", Jaune said causing some in the audiences to snicker while Neon only wraps her arms around Flynt.
"You're all going daft", Neptune still not quite convince.
"It's true on every word that Pyrrha told me", Jaune said telling them that Pyrrha is correct on what she said to him.
"And she thinks Ironwood is really Ares? The God of War?" Flynt ask about that Pyrrha is so focus on.
"And only by killing him will the war end?" Neptune ask next.
"You saw what she did out there. The way she charged that mounted Repeater Blaster nest. The way she took out that tower. Maybe it's true!" Flynt said and Sun nods in agreement on what they all witness Pyrrha did before.
"You don't really believe all that do ya Jaune?" Neptune ask Jaune who wishes he does, but deep down he doesn't.
"Jaune would believe it with his own 2 eyes only", Hakaze said to everyone on what Jaune wants to believe.
"Like if anyone will believe I'm real if they saw with their own eyes?" Salem ask and Hakaze nods her head.
Pyrrha notice something and rides on. Through the trees, still on horseback, Pyrrha and the team see the well guarded fortress that is Atlas and CIS High Command. Jaune uses binoculars to survey the scene. They see dozens of CIS Ground Transport Vehicles such as MTTs, XT Beetle Transports, PACs and MUTs go through a heavily guarded checkpoint at the gate, behind it, a long line of cars from Atlas delivering well-dressed guests to the entrance of the château, plus a single sentry stationed there.
That Sentry is Atlas Trooper.
"That's too much for them handle, but with Ms. Nikos's help, they can get in no problem", James said about the defenses that this High Command, but with Pyrrha's help they can get in without a scratch.
"No James, no smashing their way in this time, because your counterpart and Ilia might escape before they can catch up with them", Hakaze said they will not attack this time like before.
"So infiltration only this time?"
"Yes Winter and Pyrrha has to follow that."
"How on Remnant are we gonna get in this time?" Jaune ask Sun who are they supposed to get past all that defense now.
"The way in is through the gate and nowhere else Jaune", Sun answer that gate is the only way in or out.
"Thank you, Sun, for that ancient Faunus wisdom, that's very helpful", Neptune said in sarcastic.
"Don't be sarcastic", Sun said to Neptune.
"Sorry."
Sun then gets off his horse, hands the reins to Flynt, then wanders off into the forest. Neptune looks through his scope several guards at the gate which OOM Command Battle Droids, but only one at the door which is a B2 Super Battle Droid.
"If you could get through the gate I only see one B2 Super Battle Droid that's guarding the door to distract", Neptune said to Jaune.
"It won't look at all suspicious when I come sauntering out of the woods on foot", Jaune before getting cut off by Pyrrha.
"I could get in", Pyrrha said to him.
"You're not going in Pyrrha. It's too", Jaune gets interrupted again.
"Dangerous?" Pyrrha finished that last part.
"I know how to do stealth, been doing it my whole life. I'll follow them to wherever they're working on the gas or better yet find out where it is. Plus, we can't make a scene." Jaune said they have to be stealthy now and he will be doing it again.
"I can be stealthy", Pyrrha said she can be stealthy, but Jaune would say not with her Wonder Woman Costume.
"Pyrrha, what you're wearing doesn't exactly qualify as undercover." Jaune is correct about it, people will say something strange if show up in her Wonder Woman Costume.
"I don't know, I'd say she was pretty under covered", Flynt in a humor and only Neptune laughs.
"That's good one Flynt", Neon said laughing with several others.
"Will no one ever seen her Wonder Woman costume before, so of courses people might find that kind of strange", Ozpin said.
"So they will just have to stick with Jaune's stealth plan then", Ruby said and Hakaze nods her head as a yes.
"There's no way to get you in. Let me scout it and report back. Worse case, we follow Ironwood when he leaves and you can use that magic lasso of yours to get him to tell us where it is", Jaune said what they are going to do to find the gas.
"But as long as he's still alive", Pyrrha protested on the Ares scenario.
"You can't go into Atlas and CIS High Command and kill anyone in there! You have to trust me on this one, Pyrrha", suddenly, a gleaming, Atlesian limousine pulls into the forest, Sun is in the driver's seat.
"Where did that come from?" Jaune ask how did Sun get his hand on that.
"Field over there is full of them", Sun answer where did he find it.
"Can I drive it? Lemme drive it. I'll be your chauffeur!" Flynt suggested his drives while Jaune looks at Pyrrha.
"Pyrrha. Please, stay put", Jaune told her as he switch to his Atlesian Uniform disguise again.
"Something tells me I won't listen again", Pyrrha said the feeling.
"Not your style P-Money, at least in this Universe", Yang comments about that.
"But Pyrrha will find a disguise as her own", Hakaze noted Pyrrha look for a disguise for herself to get inside.
"What she gonna do, knock someone out?" Weiss ask if that's Pyrrha is gonna do it.
"Perhaps", that's all Hakaze will say.
Jaune climbs into the back seat and Flynt drives the limo off.
"We should scout the area. In case we need to beat a hasty retreat. What do you think, Pyrrha?" Neptune suggested but Pyrrha, isn't there anymore, "Uh-oh."
"There you see?" Pyrrha ask everyone if they all saw that.
"Yeah we notice", Roman said while Neo writes something that says look for a disguise.
A car rolls past the checkpoint gate, another stops. OOM Command Battle Droid take an invitation from the driver, then wave the car on. The next car is Flynt and Jaune.
"Jaune, they have the invitation", Flynt said quietly to Jaune.
While Jaune and Flynt and tries to get the OOM Command Battle Droid to let them pass which they are successful on doing do, Pyrrha meanwhile still in her cloak that's concealing her Wonder Woman costume/armor, watches from the shadows as Jaune disappears inside, but also trying to look for a disguise for her to get inside.
Frustrated, she searches the exterior for another way in, but she's distracted by the insistent honking of a car horn. Pyrrha finds a stunning, exquisitely dressed woman, she is Octavia Ember in an extraordinary blue gown, leaning over her driver and honking the car's horn in a futile attempt to get the traffic moving again.
"Hey that's Octavia Ember from Shade Academy located from Vacuo", Ruby said after recognizing her.
"She's also a member of Team NDGO", Yang said the name of her team.
"Oh Pyrrha don't you dare!" Jaune said knowing what Pyrrha is planning after eyeing Octavia.
"Oh but she would Jaune, if it means getting inside, because she needs a disguise", Hakaze smirk at him after saying that.
"I'm sorry", Pyrrha apologies on what she's planning to do.
"That's okay Nikos", Octavia says it's okay.
"That's nice dress you know", Dew said to her.
"Thanks Dew."
"I am not spending the entire evening out here, you idiots. Move your cars! I said, move!" But when no one is budging, Octavia gets infuriated, she steps out of the car and starts marching up the long driveway toward the entrance, but the Pyrrha steps out of the shadows and into Octavia's path.
"What are you supposed to be?! Out of my way", Octavia snorts at Pyrrha due to her outfit and tells her to step out of her way, but Pyrrha only smirks at her.
"Yeah she is really going to do take her blue dress", Nebula said which causes Octavia to blush upon realizing that she will be naked after she gets knock out and Pyrrha takes her dress.
"Oh dear!" Gwen said while noticing Octavia's blush.
"I believe me, Pyrrha will leave Octavia somewhere nobody will see her naked", Dew said to them, but Octavia's blush doesn't get shrugged off by saying that.
Inside the the grand ballroom Ilia is seen moving around there. An orchestra plays, couples waltz, chandeliers blaze. The room is full of Atlesian officers, their wives and prominent civilians in formal wear. Lastly OOM Security Battle Droids keep watch. Ilia moves to a fireplace, staring at the fire and then is approached by a disguise Jaune Arc.
"Excuse me?" Ilia turns to face Jaune, holding 2 glasses of champagne and he offers her one.
"Have we met?" Ilia ask him while only faintly recognizing him.
"No, but I've been watching you. Following your career, I mean. You're Dr. Ilia Amitola. The most talented chemist in the Atlesian Army who are also aligned with the CIS. I'm a fan", while Jaune keeps talking to Ilia he keeps 1 eye on Ironwood. "I hope I'm not crossing a line. I hear you and General Ironwood are very close."
"We work well together, yes" Ilia said to him.
"I'm sure he provides a great deal of support for you and your work, but having someone like me behind you, I could provide a lot more than that", Jaune said while pretending to flirt with her, but Ilia's not falling for the man, but there's something about him which a faint recognition.
"And who are you?" Ilia ask and some in the audiences to getting the feeling Jaune's small trick isn't going to work.
"A man who would show you the appreciation a genius like yourself deserves", Jaune said to her as she stares into the fire, captivated. I love fire, don't you? It's like a living act of entropy. The ultimate weapon of destruction, reminding us that, in the end, everything returns to the ash it once came from. There's something reassuring about it." Jaune said and stares into Ilia's eyes. "I see all of that in your eyes", Ilia can't help but stare back deeply into Jaune's eyes, surprised to find her heart racing. For a brief moment, she's unsure of what she's feeling.
"Is Jaune flirting with Ilia?" Ilia blushed when Ruby said that.
"Flirting is also a better chance on getting information too Ruby", Hakaze mentions that even flirting may also help get some intel too.
"Perhaps you could show me what you're working on. I hear it's extraordinary", as Jaune's about to get the answers he needs, Pyrrha shows up in Octavia's gown, makes her entrance, at the top of the stairs her Wonder Woman costume is underneath, her Godkiller Sword peeking out from the back of her dress, the hilt is looking like a piece of jewelry. Heads turn at the stunning Amazon Princess.
"Well at least people think the the Godkiller Sword peeking from behind the dress is just a piece of jewelry", Jaune said while blushing out of how beautiful Pyrrha is wearing that the dress.
"Like what you see Vomit-Boy?"
"Yeah", Jaune answered to Yang while he can't shrug his blushing off.
"I look great in a dress, although I prefer my red dress", Pyrrha comments that she's fine wearing a different color, but she likes red.
Jaune's completely torn, does he stay and gets his answers from Ilia or stop Pyrrha from getting to Ironwood? Ilia makes the decision for him.
"I appreciate your interest in my work, but I am loyal to General Ironwood. Besides, I see now your attention is elsewhere", Ilia said and knows Jaune is staring at Pyrrha before leaving.
Pyrrha is getting closer to Ironwood who has his eyes on her the same as her. It is an intense moment, she examines him, trying to confirm with her own eyes that he is Ares.
"I don't think that's a good idea, even if my counterpart is really Ares, she can't just kill him in front of a crowd of people", James saw the flaw on the idea of Pyrrha killing his counterpart in front of others.
"Correct, it will make the OOM Security Battle Droids open at fire at Pyrrha if they witness that", Ozpin said next.
"Well you can't stop her if she is really desperate on wanting to rid Remnant of Ares", Salem said to them, because it would have been the same from others who want top rid Remnant of her.
As Pyrrha is close to James, she was just about pull her Godkiller Sword out and kill him while his guard is down, but James gets her into a dance with him.
"That was so close", Mercury said.
"So close", Emerald said next.
"Enjoying the party?" James ask her while Pyrrha goes on dancing with him.
"I confess, I'm not sure what we're celebrating", Pyrrha said while her eyes narrow.
"A Atlas and CIS victory, of course", James answered her.
"Victory? When I hear peace is so close?", Pyrrha wonders until James says this.
"'Peace is only an armistice in an endless war.'" What James just said, Pyrrha understands and recognize it.
"Thucydides", Pyrrha answered knowing that came from one of Remnant Gods from Remnant's Ancient Past which happily surprises James.
"You know your Ancient Remnant. They understood that war is a god. One that requires human sacrifice", James said who which made Pyrrha's heart pound. "And in exchange, war gives man purpose to Remnant aside from the CIS is conquest here. A chance to rise above his petty, mortal little life and be better than he is", what James said is making everyone in the audiences really believe Ares is really James Ironwood incarnate.
Plus to Pyrrha on screen, there's no question now, this is really Ares for sure.
"I would never say in such a thing", James says he would never believe that knowing he would be just as bad as Salem and Ares altogether.
"But your counterpart would, assuming he is really Ares", Glynda mentions that Ares would believe in all that if James is really him.
"He's worse then me", Salem comments that the God of War is far worse then her.
"War is a god?" Adam comment about that, but not much to say about it.
"Only one of the many gods believed in that and he was wrong", Pyrrha said knowing Ares is evil enough to believe in that and she desperately wants to reach for her sword, but he's still holding her.
"You know nothing about the gods", James muttered to her until a Atlesian Soldier approaches him and whispers to his ear and then he let go of Pyrrha.
"My apologies. You'll excuse me. Enjoy the fireworks", James leaves but not before mentioning the fireworks to Pyrrha.
"Fireworks?" Sun wonders what that means.
"Are they going go to fire something?" Winter also wonders what that is.
"Yes they will, but you will all see what it is and where are they aiming", Hakaze said to them.
Just as James turns his back on Pyrrha, she reaches for her Godkiller sword. She's about to draw it when Jaune gets between them, facing her! He pulls Pyrrha away from James, taking her hand dancing with her as cover.
"Oh what a bad time to get interrupted", Mercury said after just as Pyrrha is getting close on ridding Remnant of Ares only to get interrupted by Jaune.
"What are you doing?" Pyrrha ask him as the dancing is anything but what it was in last time.
"You agreed to wait", Jaune answered.
"You agree to do things all the time then don't do them. Let me go!" Pyrrha said and demands him to let her kill Ares.
"You can't kill Ironwood inside Atlas-CIS High Command or the Armistice won't be signed", Jaune counters still worried about the Armistice much to the annoyance from some the audiences knowing Ares will not care.
"It won't matter", Pyrrha warns Jaune that the armistice will not matter while Ares is still around and he will not care about it.
"What if you're wrong, Pyrrha? What if there is no Ares?" Jaune still not convince Ares is real.
"You don't believe me", Pyrrha realize that Jaune never believed from the very start.
"I can't let you do this", Jaune said, but he won't be able to stop her anyway.
"What I do isn't up to you", Pyrrha then uses only her fingers to push Jaune away as if he were nothing and he almost loses his footing.
Pyrrha looks for Ironwood and he's on left! She runs out and Jaune follows.
"Seriously Vomit-Boy you can't just worry about the so called armistice because Ares can still strike while everyone's guard is down", Yang scolds Jaune for that.
"Sorry."
"Pyrrha on screen is going to be mad as your counterpart when we all see what happens next", Hakaze mentions what's coming next.
Pyrrha exits outside, looks around, spotting Ironwood, Ilia, and the Atlesian soldiers at one of the tower houses, which is quickly secured behind him.
"Pyrrha!" Jaune calls out to her as Pyrrha starts running towards it when the sound of a HAG-M Mortar Tank Droid fires from the guardhouse. Then another. And another.
"The gas", Jaune said knowing what that HAG-M Mortar Tank Droid is loaded with and their eyes follow the path of the artillery shells, Pyrrha understands and becomes horrified knowing where it's going
"The village!" Pyrrha runs off towards the village on her horse while the audience at the château behind her bursts into applause and cheers.
"That's a HAG-M Mortar Tank Droid, use for artillery", Hakaze explains what that Droid does.
"Is she talking about the same village they just liberated?" Ruby ask if that's Pyrrha was talking about.
"Yes."
"OH NO!"
In the forest, Flynt has regrouped with Sun and Neptune. Sun and Flynt look up at smoking trails in the sky, left by the artillery shell, while Neptune peers through his scope at the Towers.
"They're cheering", Flynt said when suddenly, they spot Pyrrha racing through the forest on her horse, then Jaune rides up to the team, out of breath.
"What did they fire?" Sun ask what was fired from the tower.
"It was Ironwood", Jaune revealed.
"I see him", Neptune said after looking through his scope.
"Wherever he goes you follow him", Jaune told them and continues chases after Pyrrha!
Racing through the woods in the distance, Pyrrha now in her Wonder Woman costume on horseback her torn off dress discarded, floating behind her. She arrives at the outskirts of the village, which is now entirely engulfed in a thick, colored cloud of gas. She dismounts, enveloped by the gas. She can't see anything in front of her, but knows immediately that all the villagers have perished. She has trouble breathing, her eyes red and stinging. Now she falls into grief.
"No. Oh, no, no, no!" Pyrrha has tears fill her eyes while audiences are shock and horrified on what happened to the village that's just liberated.
"All those people they just saved, they are all dead!" Winter said in horror alongside everyone else.
"All that would have been prevented if Jaune hadn't interfered", Cinder comments about that while some glare at him.
"Pyrrha!" Jaune calls out to her but keeps his distance from gas as Pyrrha walks out completely unaffected by the gas.
"Whoa, Pyrrha is completely unaffected by the gas", Nora said after seeing how unharmed Pyrrha is from the gas.
"Amazon attributes", Hakaze said.
"They're dead. They're all dead", Pyrrha said and chooses to blame Jaune. "YOU DID THIS!" Pyrrha said feeling betrayed.
"Pyrrha, I'm sorry", Jaune apologies for interfering.
"You stopped me from killing Ares when I had the chance. You murderer! You killed these people!" Pyrrha fully blames Jaune for this as he tries to approach her.
"STAY AWAY FROM ME!" Jaune freezes when Pyrrha shouts at him. "Everything you've said to me is a lie. But I see the truth now. It isn't just the Atlesian and CIS that Ares has corrupted. It's you, too. It's all of you", Pyrrha said in a growing fury and Jaune is rattled.
"I will find Ares and I will kill him once and for all!" Pyrrha is now so determine to end all of this for good.
Jaune sees a trail of smoke in the sky in the distance.
"It's a signal from Sun", Jaune said knowing they've followed Ironwood and Pyrrha rides off in a fury.
"Pyrrha?!" Follows her using an abandon BARC Speeder Bike and leaves his horse behind.
"Okay no more interruptions, it's time to end this for good!" Pyrrha said in the audiences.

Coming up next, Pyrrha battles and defeats James Ironwood whom she thought was Ares, but then the real Ares reveals himself.
Oh I just want to say, Team NDGO are also in the theater room too along with other Minor Characters, they just don't speak a lot among the audiences in this fanfic due to their minor roles in the actual RWBY Series.
