Wonder Woman 2017 Part 9

Pyrrha/Wonder Woman battles and defeated James Ironwood whom she thought was Ares, but then the real Ares reveals himself.

Along the road, Pyrrha comes upon a Atlas/CIS security post that has 3 B1 Battle Droids in her path, but she refuses to stop. She trashes the 3 B1 Battle Droids like if they were nothing. Jaune on the other hand, avoids any security post, tearing through the woods. The last wash of sunlight fades as night takes over. Pyrrha rides on horseback through the countryside at amazing speed driven, possessed by rage for the lost of those villagers she help liberate. She heads towards Neptune, Flynt and Sun who are all at a fire that Sun has set, used to create the smoke signal. He points to the top of a hill. She rushes past them and up the hill! Cresting the hill, we see an Atlesian/CIS airfield she heads down towards it. Plus Jaune isn't far behind her, racing past the team!

"It's time to end this war once and for all", Ruby said as they all watch how everything is going turn out after Pyrrha kills James Ironwood whom everyone like her thinks is really Ares.

"But Pyrrha will have a big disappointment after she's through with Ironwood whom she believes is Ares", Hakaze said to them.

"What's that mean?" Jaune ask Hakaze.

"You'll see what I mean."

As Pyrrha storms towards the airfield, her eyes land on the control tower, where she sees Ironwood on the balcony, looking out over the airfield, a hive of activity. She charges the tower, flipping off her horse and over a barbed wire fence as she takes out more B1 Battle Droids and a Droideka and slashes through a second barbed wire fence fights to the tower and Pyrrha lassos a Atlesian soldier on the balcony, yanking him down then leaping up to the tower herself!

"Oh and don't forget that I do have that white gas that gives me super strength still, which means I can still stand up against Pyrrha", James remind everyone that he can still stand against Pyrrha thanks to the white gas.

"But how far can you keep it up Jimmy?" Qrow ask him if he can keep up with Pyrrha.

Ironwood turns as Pyrrha arrives, wielding the Godkiller sword. He smirks, scoffing.

"Nice to see you again. This is a surprise. But I have things to do", James pulls out his SE-14 Blaster Pistol and fires at Pyrrha but she blocks the blaster bolt with her bracelet, which then ricocheting it back at Ironwood's SE-14 Blaster Pistol and it explodes in his hand! He cries out in pain, shocked!

"Whoa! Right back at ya", Clover commented after seeing that part.

"That's really got to hurt", Harriet said.

Pyrrha lowers her smoking bracelet, looking him in the eyes assuming he knows who she is now after that display of power.

"Who are you?" James demanded.

"You'll soon learn", Pyrrha said to him as he turns away from Pyrrha, cracking open a blue capsule and he inhales it's painful but powerful, veins bulging.

"Here comes an even fight now", Yang said knowing that white gas can do from the previous scene.

Pyrrha sees James's veins bulging, almost supernatural her eyes widen with confirmation on her belief that he's really Ares. Pyrrha moves quickly, thrusting the Godkiller sword at him but he dodges it. She strikes him in the face with her fist and they trade blows. He grabs a bayoneted E-5C Heavy Blaster Rifle mounted on the wall. James uses it as a Gun, a spear, and a sword. He hits Pyrrha again and again but Pyrrha strikes back with such force that he flies backwards through the window and onto the narrow walkway outside as he struggles to his feet.

Pyrrha charges again. James manage to get back up his feet. Ironwood stands, holding his bayonet, as Pyrrha leaps at him ready for another round and the battle rages on, Sword and the Bayonet, both so close to plummeting to the ground with every volley. But then Ironwood lands a blow that sends Pyrrha and his bayonet almost off the control tower. Pyrrha loses her grip of her Godkiller sword, but James picks up the Godkiller Sword.

"Oh boy", Nora said after seeing Ironwood use the Godkiller Sword now.

"Oh don't worry Nora, Pyrrha can still stand her ground", Ren said to her.

"She's right, Pyrrha is an Amazon so she can still make her stand", Yang said next.

"As magnificent a creature as you are, you are no match for me", James said and with veins pulsating blue, Ironwood swings the sword down to deliver a killing blow but Pyrrha blocks it with her bracelets!

"We'll see about that!" Pyrrha shouted as Ironwood strikes again and again until Pyrrha grabs the blade with her bare hands but no cuts.

"Some do have to take risk on injuring themselves when grabbing the blade just to keep it from impaling them", Ozpin said.

"You seen that happened?"

"Yes dear", Ozpin said to one of his daughters who ask.

"Pyrrha can take no injuries from that due to her Amazon attributes", Hakaze said to them.

Summoning impossible strength, she grips the blade and shoves it back with such force that James loosens his grip. For the first time we see that he is afraid and climbs up the roof. Pyrrha stays below and makes her speech while holding her Godkiller Sword.

"I Pyrrha of Themyscira, daughter of Pelina, Queen of the Amazons, came here to complete the mission of the Amazons by taking your life and ridding Remnant and my people of you forever!" Pyrrha leaps into the air, smashing through the sealing and goes high above James while he looks in shock and awe.

Pyrrha use her lasso to restrained James and after landing Pyrrha plunges the Godkiller Sword into James body. His body crumbles to the ground, the blue in his veins fades away like a light going out! Ares is finally dead!

"Alright it's finally over, everyone will snap out of the war!" Ruby said cheering with everyone else in the audiences.

"Or is it?" Hakaze interrupted them making them quiet down.

"What's that mean?" Salem ask Hakaze.

"Keep watching."

Pyrrha breathes heavy, takes in the victory, reveling in it. Her mission accomplished. Her mother would be proud, Sienna too and all of the Amazons. The battlefield is quiet. A storm begins to simmer in the sky, but then she hears a T-Series Tactical Droid ordering the rest of the Atlesian and CIS troops. Her brow knits with confusion. Pyrrha looks out over the airfield her face falls. 100 of Atlesian soldiers wearing strange customized gas masks emanate from Ilia's lab, working with 100 of gas bombs with some help from the Droids.

To Pyrrha's horror, nothing has changed. Ares may be dead but the war drags and carries on.

"What? Has Pyrrha been wrong this whole time?" Winter questions that if she killed Ares, shouldn't the war just stop.

"Could my counterpart have not been Ares this whole time?" James question that part too.

"Eventually Pyrrha is going to get very delusional after Jaune reveals who's really to blame for this war instead of Ares like in the past", Hakaze said to them.

"Pyrrha?" Jaune arrives on the balcony below and he's relieved she's okay, Jaune sees Ludendorff's body on the edge. Pyrrha then turns to him, feeling lost.

"I killed him. I killed Ares but nothing stopped. You kill the God of War, then the war stops", Pyrrha said and Jaune registers her confusion, but follows her gaze to the growing threat below, not enough time to explain this.

"Right... Then we've got to do something about it", Jaune said but Pyrrha stops him and her eyes wide with shock.

"Pyrrha so not gonna like this", Ren said knowing what's coming.

"No! Jaune. All of this should have stopped. The fighting. It should have stopped. So why are they doing this?!" Pyrrha questions and Jaune sees the crisis on her face, forcing himself to slow down and tune into it sad knowing the reality Pyrrha's about to face. His heart breaks for her.

"Pyrrha, I'm sorry... I know you thought, I hoped it, too, but I knew", Jaune tries to carefully spell it all out to Pyrrha.

"You knew what?!"

"That it might not be that simple."

"But Ares is dead. They don't have to do this anymore. So why would they?!" Pyrrha counters still believing with Ares dead, everyone should have snapped out of it, then Jaune finally says what he hasn't had the heart to say all along.

"Because maybe people aren't...just good, Pyrrha. Ares or no Ares. Maybe it's... just them." Jaune reveals the truth and Pyrrha looks out at them. The truth slowly sinking in as she tries to understand it all.

"No... it can't be... everything I saw? They were killing each other. Killing people they can't even see... killing children. Like it was nothing... it had to be him! It can't be them!" Pyrrha still trying to believe Ares is behind it all, not people doing this with their own free will.

"I'm getting pretty disturbed by what Pyrrha is going through now, but as long as free will exist, we can do things we want, even atrocities like what Pyrrha has seen", Sienna mentions remembering some of the atrocities that the White Fang have commit, even though they had no idea about the CIS.

"Free will always helps us think for ourselves, even free will can make us do something bad, because the choices we make and our choices will always shapes our destiny", Hakaze mentions the part that free will play for everyone.

"True, we all have our choices to make thanks to our free will", Ozpin said knowing he made his own choice like keeping secrets from everyone even though that's a bad idea to begin with.

"Pyrrha, sometimes people are complicated", Jaune said but Pyrrha's disbelief begins to turn to anger.

"Then my mother was right after all. She said the world of men don't deserve me. That's why she left. They don't deserve our help", Pyrrha mutters what her mother told before she left with Jaune, Jaune knows they're out of time.

"It's not about whether they deserve it or not. It's about what you believe. You think I don't get it? All I've seen out there? I wish I could tell you that there was one bad guy to blame for this war. Maybe we're all to blame. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't try to do better", Jaune said to Pyrrha knowing whatever side is to blame for the war, but that didn't mean people cannot change. "And if you believe this war should just stop, Pyrrha, if you want to stop it, then help me stop it. Now." Jaune tries to convince Pyrrha help him finished this.

"If we don't, they're going to kill thousands more. Don't give up on them. Don't give up on me." But Pyrrha isn't budging from where she's standing now she completely consume that if everyone of Remnant are capable of committing atrocities under their own free will and not by Ares, then there is no point of her helping anymore.

"Please. We gotta go...I have to." It kills Jaune to release her hand, but he has no choice. He has to. He does and can only look back, hoping she'll follow.

But Pyrrha's is left alone, everything she ever believed in destroyed. She watches as Jaune runs off and rejoins the team.

"Where's Pyrrha?" Flynt ask him.

"We're on our own." Jaune answered that Pyrrha won't join them this time, despite their hesitation and confusion about that, the team follows Jaune towards the hangar.

"That's it?! Pyrrha is just going to give up because everything she believe in is wrong?!"

"Well Yang, now Pyrrha knows Ares isn't behind the war like she hoped and knows that the people of Remnant are to blame thanks to free will, then there is no point on helping now", Hakaze said to Yang. "But she will see the real Ares".

"So Ares is real, but he watching right?"

"Yes Salem."

Back at the control tower, Pyrrha takes in a breath, smells the chemicals in the air, hears the sounds across the airfield she has become hyper aware of the harshness of the world around her. Pyrrha turns, seeing a someone through the windows looking at Ironwood's plans. For a brief moment, she thinks it's Jaune.

"Jaune?" The figure pauses, then looks over at Pyrrha who wonders who could it be. "Who's there? What are you doing?" Then the person finally speaks to her.

"I've been waiting for you to see the truth." Removing his hat, Pyrrha now knows who it is.

"Sir Ozpin?" Sir Ozpin is there, like a dream or a nightmare calmly gazing over at Pyrrha through the glass.

"Wait, how did Ozpin get there?" Qrow ask in confusion, well he's not the only one who confuse here.

"Ozpin was in Vale, just how did he get to Solitas?" Glynda wonders too.

"We are all about to find out", Hakaze said to all of them.

"You're right, Pyrrha. They don't deserve our help. They only deserve their own destruction", Pyrrha freezes when Ozpin said which means one thing.

"You. You're him, your Ares." This revelation surprises the audiences.

"WHAT Ozpin was Ares this whole time?! Then what has he been doing?!" Yang shouted after they all learn that Ozpin was Ares the whole time.

"Let's hear what the real Ares has to say", Ruby said to her.

"Also since Ironwood romances war, he is unknowingly been worshiping Ares", Hakaze explains what's James Ironwood's role in all of this.

"So Pyrrha mistakes my counterpart for Ares because that speech I made during the dance sounded like I was Ares."

"Correct Ironwood."

"I am. But I'm not what you thought I was. You blame me, but the truth is...... all of this I did none of it", Ozpin/Ares speaks the truth that he is so not behind the war.

Alarmed, Pyrrha reaches for her Godkiller sword but forgot it was still in Ironwood's dead body, Pyrrha leaps up to retrieve it! Meanwhile Jaune and the rest of the team poses as Atlas Troopers wear gas masks, they stop see a CIS Vehicle Armored Carrier being loaded with the bombs filled with all of Ilia's poison. Well they will head into hangar to blow up the rest of it.

"Okay I say they will handle the poison while I deal with the real Ares", Pyrrha said to Hakaze.

"Yes. But Ozpin, you never did ask any of your students to face you in a match", Hakaze answer and then ask Ozpin that part about anyone facing him before.

"Not once."

Pyrrha leaps down from above, the Godkiller Sword back in her hands she circles the tower like a tiger, looking through the glass Ozpin/Ares remains very calm and unfazed by Pyrrha's threats.

"I am not your enemy, Pyrrha. I am the only one who truly knows you. And who truly knows them as you now do. They have always been, and always will be weak, cruel, selfish, and capable of the greatest horror." As he speaks, Pyrrha holds the Godkiller sword with 2 hands, trying to regain her confidence but struggling.

Stepping in the doorway, he vanishes. She looks around. Finds he's suddenly outside.

"I just wanted the other Gods to see the evil that my father created, so I destroyed them all when they refuse to see what I see", Ozpin/Ares said his reason why he killed the rest of the Gods when the refuse to see what he sees on his father Zeus's creation.

"I am Pyrrha of Themyscira, daughter of Pelina... and I am here to complete her mission", Pyrrha cocks back her sword for battle when Ozpin/Ares disappears again reappearing behind her. She spins and plunges the Godkiller into him

Unexpectedly Ozpin/Ares simply holds up his hand and the Godkiller sword disintegrates into a cloud of dust, right down to the hilt! Pyrrha can't believe it, even the audiences got shock after seeing what happened to the Godkiller Sword.

"Oh no! Don't tell me that wasn't the Godkiller which would explain why it just disintegrated", Ruby said after seeing what happened to the Sword which all made them believe it was the Godkiller after seeing it for the first time.

"If it really was the actual Godkiller, then that Sword does not break", Hakaze mutters if it was the actual one, then it doesn't break.

"The Godkiller!" Pyrrha said while looking at what's left of it.

"Oh, child, that is not the Godkiller. You are. Only another God can kill a God", what Ozpin/Ares revealed truly shocks Pyrrha.

"Well, there's the secret Queen Pelina and the other Amazons have been hiding from Pyrrha, she's the real Godkiller and the sword wasn't", Hakaze reveals the secrets that the Amazons have been hiding this whole time from Pyrrha.

"That is the biggest burden to bear isn't?"

"Oh yes it is Salem."

"I'm very sorry Pyrrha", Pelina apologies to her daughter.

"That's alright mom, now I know that it would have been a biggest burden to bear." Pyrrha said while Ozpin while having other thoughts on the idea that Pyrrha would become the next Fall Maiden that would be a biggest burden to bear.

"Zeus left the daughter he had with the Queen of the Amazons as a weapon to use against me", Ozpin/Ares reveals that she is also the daughter of Zeus and yet Pyrrha's mind reeling.

"You lie!" Pyrrha refusing to believed this then throws her Lasso around Ozpin/Ares, who doesn't try and avoid it. On contact with Ozpin/Ares, the lasso glows brighter than previously seen. "I compel you to tell me the truth!" Ozpin/Ares calmly looks into her eyes, the lasso's golden energy courses between them.

"I am." Ozpin/Ares will spill the truth out and hear what he's been doing ever since his defeat at the hands of Zeus.

Back at the airfield Jaune and the team still posing as Atlas Troopers are still trying to look for more of bombs they need to find and destroy. Jaune and the team blend in with the crew working on the CIS Vehicle Armored Carrier. They needed a plan to destroy the Vehicle Armored Carrier without creating a large blast radius on the ground when they destroy it.

"Well, Pyrrha has to deal with the real Ares and I with the rest of the team have to stop that poison from reaching anymore population areas", Jaune said on what everyone needs to do.

"We are going to hear what Ares is going reveal too", Pyrrha said to him.

Back at the control tower, the lasso is still tight around Ozpin/Ares, crackling. Pyrrha holds it, still unsure what to think.

"I am not the God of War, Pyrrha. I am the god of truth, all I ever wanted was to show my father how evil his creation was. But he refused", after revealing that he isn't the God of War that he used to be, Ozpin/Ares runs his finger along the lasso, a surge of energy runs from his hands and down towards Pyrrha, causing her to see flashes of the past. Each is like a pulse that fades and returns us to the scene at hand.

"What Ares is doing is showing Pyrrha his point of view", Hakaze explains what is he doing to Pyrrha from the lasso.

"We push through the bleakness of the world, Humans and Faunus stole the Remnant from us even when the Galactic Republic of Earth and the CIS of Raxus Prime brough their war into it too. They ruined it, day-by-day." Ozpin/Ares explains what he sees in the people of Remnant with the Galactic Republic and the CIS did while we go back to No Man's Land.

The scene flashback to the final battle with Ares and Zeus located in Mount Olympus. This is where Ares lost his battle against Zeus and he falls down to the Remnant, then his armor all falls off.

"And I, the only one wise enough to see it, was left too weak to destroy them myself." Somewhere dark, Ares shivering, powerless... the remnants of his armor CRACKING and BREAKING APART around him and yet he stills heals from it.

"All these years, I've struggled. Whispering into their ears", flashback shows Ilia at her workbench at her lab. Then spectral form of Ozpin/Ares whispering silently to her, unseen by anyone. A strange wind passes as he does. Her eyes light up. She starts mixing chemicals frantically.

"Ideas. Inspiration. For weapons." The same spectral form of Ozpin/Ares whispers to Ironwood too. "Formulas. But I don't make them use them... they start these wars on their own free will." Ozpin/Ares reveals that he's been giving enough ideas and inspiration to the Kingdoms of Remnant, this turn led to their decision to resort violence and then War.

"Okay full explains from me, ever since his defeat at the hands of Zeus, Ares realizes that he can no longer influences everyone of Remnant to starting wars like he use to, due to the lost of his powers. So for years he's has been giving the Kingdoms of Remnant enough inspirations and ideas, this ultimately lead to their decision to resort to war and hoping to see the people of Remnant self-destruct to their demise thanks to their free will."

"So Ares didn't start the war, everyone in Remnant did it under their own free will, but Ares was puppeteering the war so the people of Remnant can destroy themselves just like he wants", Salem said her conclusion.

"Somewhat puppeteering the war."

The flashback fade and we return to Pyrrha's stunned face, while Ozpin/Ares enjoys the revelation.

"All I do is orchestrate an armistice I know they will break, in the hope that they will destroy themselves. But it's never been enough to do so, when you first arrived I was going to crush you. Then I felt something I haven't for thousands of years. Stronger", Ozpin/Ares clenches his fists. His neck pulses. "It was your power. Healing me more than you could ever hurt me." Pyrrha's eyes narrow, trying to understand all this while Ozpin/Ares hands begin to flicker with fire.

"And I knew that if only you could see what the other gods couldn't", Ozpin/Ares runs his finger along the lasso, energy arcing down the lasso and into Pyrrha.

As it hits her they are transported back to the barren, war-torn No Man's Land.

"All the suffering. All the pain and destruction they create. You would join me." Ozpin/Ares is trying get Pyrrha to side with him while she looks around her.

"With out powers combined, we could finally end this and we could finally end them", as Ozpin/Ares keeps talking the barren no man's land transforms into a lush, Garden like Themyscira itself. "We could return the world to the paradise it was before them. And there would be absolute peace, Pyrrha. Forever", despite what Ozpin/Ares says, the audiences knows that they ultimately rule Remnant as tyrants once both Humans and Faunus are destroyed completely.

"There's no way Pyrrha join him and become tyrant after they destroy Humans and Faunus alike in Remnant", Weiss comments that Pyrrha will never be a part of that.

"Pyrrha's goal on wanting to save the world would have been for nothing then", Jaune comments that part too.

Close on, Pyrrha is taking it in, Ozpin/Ares smiles thinking he is successful on getting Pyrrha to join him. But Pyrrha resists, not wanting to destroy everything she wanted to save, even her beloved Jaune Arc.

"No... No, I'd never be a part of that", a struggling Pyrrha says that he will never allow herself to be a part of that and then everything snaps back to the control tower.

"Alright Pyrrha", Jaune and some who support her cheered.

"But the battle will continue", Cinder makes that point.
