Amity Park; Most Haunted Place In The World.
2 Years following the disateriod saw the recognition and popularity spike for Danny Phantom and the Fentons. Along with the adoption of Danielle Danny, Maddie, Jack and Jazz would also welcome J,J Fenton to their family. Ghost hunting was now left in Danny's capable hands whilst his parents would always supply the tech and support, raising baby J.J was their priority. The Fenton family of ghost hunters.
Maddie Fenton sat rocking in the nursery singing a lullaby to a drowsy J.J who for the third time in the night had woken up. J.J was now two years old but his sleeping schedule was proving difficult to establish. Between late night hunts (of which Danny, Dani and Jazz often reminded them they needn't be involved in unless it was an absolute emergency) and his interrupted sleep cycle J.J was becoming a restless nighthawk. Maddie's eyes began to weigh heavy as she finally lay J.J down in his bed and tucking him. "Sleep tight sweetie" she whispered as she crept back to her room.
Elsewhere, Two miles outside of town Danny Phantom stood winded and sore with his thermos pointed at Johnny 13 "I warned you Johnny, this late night rumble stuff can't be a regular thing. I've got class in four hours. You wanna brawl save it for a weekend but school nights…yeah you're in the thermos!"
Johnny 13 looked back at Danny and chuckled. He knew Danny was frustrated but he wasn't mad, Johnny would be in worse shape if he was. The blue light erupted from the thermos "there's always next time little-man" Johnny laughed as he faded into the light. Danny shook his head in annoyance this was Johnnys third appearance this week which meant only one thing, he and Kitty were arguing again.
"I'm going to start charging a fee for playing couples councillor for those two" he yawned. The sun began to light up the horizon as Danny proceeded to fly home. With any luck he could get home and grab the shower before his sisters woke up and stole all the hot water. As Danny browsed around the town he noticed the Nasty Burger was surrounded by a stage and fences, Mayor Foley was staging a re-election campaign after school today which reminded Danny that he would have to refrain from being seen. The last thing he needed today was to upstage tuckers chance at re-election.
He finally made it home just in time for his alarm clock to start blaring "Alright already just shut up" Danny groaned before quickly pushing the button. "It's Friday Danny just tell Lancer you had an early morning ghost hunt and ask if you can just cut out early, He's been pretty fair about it" he said out-loud to himself as if he was trying to convince himself that he might survive the day. To his disappointment the water was ice cold for his shower and Dani had eaten all the bacon and sausages. "Danielle how can you pack all that food into such a compact frame?"
A stuck out tongue was his only response as the ghostling resumed breakfast. Jazz quickly dashed through the kitchen snatching a piece of toast "Dani don't forget Mom needs u`s home after school today to help get ready for Dads family visit" she took a mouthful of orange juice and headed for the door "Oh and Danny I know this might be awkward but I found a pair of Sam's panties under the pullout couch last night, please get them back to her. You've been separated for a month now. If you're officially done I think you should make sure all of her stuff is returned" the door closed but quickly reopened "they're the black ones with batwings on the top of the laundry basket!" Jazz yelled back.
Dani watched her brothers face turn red after Jazz left trying to force down her laughter "Do I dare ask why Sams panties were under the couch big bro?" she snorted watching Danny hide his face behind a hastily grabbed text book "awe is someone embarrassed? Or better question, was someone bare-arsed" she laughed "Oh wait I got a better one Jazz said they had wings, were you flapping cheeks" Dani squealed in pure amusement falling to the floor laughing like a hyena. Danny grabbed his backpack and headed for the door. Today was not going to be a good day.
"Don't forget Sam's Vampire panties Danny!" he heard Danielle cackle from inside.
"Yup, today is going to suck" Danny sighed as transformed and flew off.
The bell rang signaling the start of first period and Danny was slumped in the back of the classroom with Tucker and Valerie. Sam had skipped out on today in order to help Tuckers people help set up the campaign rally.
"Ohh Danny" Paulina called from the row ahead of them "Blue lagoon is opening a new expansion on the water park, how would you like to join me I've got a new black and white bikini I think you'll like it's 3-d" she grinned.
Danny rolled his eyes and kept focusing on his school work once upon a time he would have jumped at the chance of a date with Paulina but after his identity was revealed so were her true colors (along with the other A-listers) even before he and Sam split last month she was always trying to wedge her way between them. But after news of their separation Paulina went full throttle into her pursuit of Danny finding every excuse to be near him if not partnered.
The scrapping of metal feet on linoleum floors told Danny that Paulina had slid backwards, her black hair swishing in his face brought his eyes up from his paper "aren't I better on the eyes then that ugly paper?" she asked with faux pout.
"Focus on your own work Paulina, I don't think you have the grades to skip through any assignments" Danny told her.
Paulina then leaned in on him "Oh but ghost boy how can I focus on my studies when all I want is your attention you're starving me, throw me a bone baby I won't bite, unless that's what you like" she winked.
"Somebody shoot me" Danny groaned.
"Oh poor baby, did that horrid Goth steal every desire out of you, not all girls are depressing Ghost boy five minutes in the janitors closet and I bet could make feel like a new man" Paulina whispered.
Once again Danny rolled his eyes just as a blue vapour escaped his mouth "thank you" he muttered "Mr. Lancer, I got to run, emergency" Danny said as he ran to the door.
Mr. Lancer look over his shoulder as Danny transformed in the hallway "Mr. Foley would you be so kind as to take Mr. Fenton his homework after class thank you"
"Uh Mr. Lancer I have a rally after school today" Tucker replied.
"Ms. Gray?" Lancer asked.
"I have work Mr. Lancer"
That was when a series of hands rose into the air causing Lancer to sigh this is what he didn't want, Danny now had a vast collection of female admirers who would jump at the opportunity to spend any time with him. With a quick glance Lancer scanned the room he'd have to ask someone who wasn't likely to cause a scene or a problem. Ms. Summer was probably the best candidate but Ms. Sanchez would undoubtedly take the lead. That was when he remembered anther young Fenton in her freshmen year "Ms. Summers could you please take Mr. Fenton's homework to his younger sister after class" Lancer asked.
"yes sir" Star summer replied. No sooner did Star respond did Paulina smirk, a devilish, sinister smirk.
Of course it would be the box ghost, who else was daft enough to pick a fight in a high school where Danny Phantom was known to attend. "I am the Box ghost beware my awesome P- Gwah!" Danny blasted the box ghost clear across the auto shop.
"Heard it a thousand time still not original and why did you come to a school? A post office or a shipping plant" Danny growled in annoyance before firing another series of ecto blasts sent the box ghost crashing into the paint booth "now let's wrap this up peacefully or do I gotta cram you into the thermos with Johnny 13!"
"BEWARE!" the box ghost shouted.
"Thermos it is" Danny groaned as he pulled the thermos out and sucked the box ghost.
The sound of second period bell called Danny down to the locker rooms for gym class an unfortunate class lately. With his alter ego revealed Danny no longer had to hold back his physical abilities which caused problems on their own. Dash Baxter, the former king of Casper was currently cramming Melvin Martian into a gym locker.
"Hurry up and close it Kwan this geek needs a reminder of his place around here!" Dash growled as he struggled to close the half door. Just as he heard the distinct click of the lock the lockers suddenly weren't there and Dash and Kwan fell forward before hitting a metal wall. They were so tightly compressed they could feel when the others chest rise when he inhaled "Hey! Somebody get us out of here!" Dash shouted, his claustrophobia suddenly taking hold and panic quickly ensued. "H-hey somebody get us out of here now!" his voice began to crack and whimper losing all form of intimidation "I-I mean it! Let us out you dorks or you're all dead meat! I'll pound all you into the dirt!" he cried.
Dash Baxter was now crying in place it was then the walls became intangible again and the Jocks fell to the floor. Dash was snivelling with swelled red eyes as the collective members of the boys locker room laughed. "I've told you Dash, your bulling days were over but you seem to want to keep trying my patience" Danny scolded him "this needs to end Dash before you really get embarrassed"
Dash growled through his teeth. "Fenton!" he snarled the great Danny Phantom, the clown who stole his crown and then the jerk who kicked when he was down establishing his own level of popularity above Dash and the A-listers. "Should have guessed that was your chicken shit trick! Only a coward attacks a man with his back turned!"
Danny rolled his eyes again, "Yeah Dash cause it takes a real man to enlist help in harassing a guy half his size and third his weight" Danny retorted. "You're a joke Dash just grow up"
That joke remark was the last straw for Dash he lunged at Danny with a fully wound up haymaker Danny however only turned intangible causing Dash to strike the concrete wall. The sound of breaking bones echoed in the locker room as Dash dropped to his knees "Melvin go get Ms. Spartan and tell her what happened" Tucker instructed as he himself retrieved the first aid kit.
"You're dead Fen-turd!" Dash hissed.
Danny however waved for the others to go to the hall it was track day and being late was a mark of absent.
As the boys stretched in the field they were joined by the girls "ah" Tucker cooed "Yoga pants and Capri attire best decision I could have influenced with the school board"
"Hey Tucker!" the boys turned to face a Valerie Gray running to them and she didn't look impressed "what the heck are you doing!" Valerie demanded earning quizzical looks from both Danny and Tucker "you let Sam Manson lead an anti-meat protest at your campaign rally! I vouched f or you as someone who loved the Nasty Burger with my manager, Tuck he is livid with a bunch vegan meat haters all saying you support their cause!"
"Sam did what?!" Tucker shouted slowly yanking on his hair as if he'd pull it out "She hijacked my campaign for one of her protests? Danny she did it again do you have any idea how screwed I am? My campaigns are tax payer paid, for her to use my name for her platform…oh god I have to go and do some damage control!" Tucker raced for the road P.D.A in hand.
Danny slowly sighed. He should have known better, this was something Sam would have done regardless of Tucks position but with him as Mayor it hurt his image with the taxpayers of Amity and damaged his chances of re-election something that she either ignored or didn't care to acknowledge.
"Damn it Sam!" he growled before following Tucker.
