Hello to all, this is Chapter 23 of the fourth Arc of Volume 6: War in Karakura Town!
Intro: The Earth... is a great place where humanity and all other creatures live and learn to evolve little by little, but this great world has Darkness in it too. Evil beings who wish to conquer this world and everyone.
Only one being stood against them to show everyone the power of light and hope, but this great mythical dragon wasn't able to stop them. He gave his powers and hope to a human that was known by his name, the Dragon Knight!
Before this hero also met his end, he gave the legendary Dragon Sword and his hopes and dreams to the next knight, his youngest son who is destined to become a legend by the sides of his comrades and his love. This hero... is the Dragon Knight of Light!

Volume 6: Chapter 23: Death vs Immortal! Shadow vs Barragan!
Previously in DKR:
Being bested by the Dragon Knight again with his new form, Deep Blue dragged himself from his badly wounded body. He still sought out revenge, hating this loss. However, it was there that Aigami appeared to offer him a chance to regain all he lost.
Yugi and the others had a moment to recover from the long, drawn battle as he contacted Urahara and sadly learned that Aizen had made his move in Karakura Town and the Dark Lord was already there. With their plan to get out of this dimension impossible by Aizen's actions, Nelliel still recovering and Grimmjow left to pursue greater power to defeat Kurosaki; their answers were revealed as Shadow Knight. Providing both Senzu Beans and the means to take the group back to Earth, Yugi and others returned back to confront both enemy groups. Team Dragon Knight attempted to engage the last Espadas but Darkus also had his Executioners to engage them too.
Will Team Dragon Knight handle their numerous enemies?

Yugi stands in the air calmly, staring firmly at one of Aizen's ''lieutenants'' and one he fought too.
"Tosen-kun, right?'' He questions, recalling his name the last time they clashed blades before he hums puzzled. ''I guess you really are loyal to Aizen-kun huh?''
Tosen scowls at that comment but he respectfully answers him. ''My loyalty to Aizen-sama is unbreakable. He will be the one to save this world of injustice and-''
''Don't believe what that man speaks of, Tosen!'' Yugi turns to see the fox-dog-like anthro humanoid Shinigami, growling madly at his former comrade. ''He's using your pain and grief! Don't-''
''You still can't see anything with your own eyes, Komamura.'' Tosen protests calmly, not acknowledging his words. Yugi glares annoyed, telling him off. ''Your friend is trying to-''
''Someone naïve like you could never understand either.'' He now mocks Yugi's words who glares and corrects him annoyed. ''I'm young and naïve but I understand things clearly! Why work for someone like Aizen-kun?''
Tosen doesn't answer him, still not understanding his master's curiosity for someone like that. Still, he will tell him just to confirm he is unworthy of Aizen's attention.
''… For justice…'' He reveals firmly. ''For the injustice my Captain went through by the cruelty of the nobles, especially…'' His words trail at the one that likely killed his captain, the true owner of his Zanpakuto and the one who accepted him, blind and all.
Yugi just glares madly, instantly reminded of Light and L and their ''justice''.
''… And you think Aizen-kun will help you?'' He questions the former Shinigami's logic with Tosen nodding firmly as he knows why Aizen does what he does and respectfully follows him. ''Aizen-sama sees the flaws of Soul Society and the world itself. That is enough of a reason.''
''And you think killing innocents is justice!'' Yugi argues, thankful no innocents are here in this somewhat empty town.
As he expected that response from someone so naïve, Tosen answers him. ''Sacrificing the few for the sake of the many. For that is the key to Aizen-sama's world; a world of fairness, a world with no need for the weak and corrupt.''
The purple-eyed young man can't help but narrow his eyes, madly.
''Everyone's weak and yes, injustice does exist…'' Yugi begins to say, admitting the faults of those he dealt with in the past and now with Kira and immediately proclaims, raising his Dragon Blade forward. ''But that's why there's people who fight to change the world! And that's why while I have this blade, I will protect as many people as I can.''
Gritting his teeth as he's reminded of those two, Yugi declares against the need of sacrifices. ''I refuse to accept a world that sacrifices are the only solution!''
Tosen isn't in the slightest surprised by that response as he unsheathes his sword.
''Then I shall cut you down, for good.'' He announces, raising it towards him. Yugi smiles a bit before he declares. ''I got this…'' He looks at Komamura and he's stomped on what to call him since well… he didn't ask or what Canine he is.
''Um… fox-'' Yugi tries to say, causing the captain to snap and yell a tad nervously. ''DOG! I-I MEAN CAPTAIN-''
''I got this, Captain sir. I will save your friend!'' The tricolor head immediately promises him with a smile. Komamura is silent by his words, wondering as he's too wounded by fighting that Dark Lord.
Yugi just nods, turning around to face Tosen and dashes right at him that he's already in front of him. Tosen is taken back as he swings his sword but Yugi does the same, both blades clashing and sparks flying out. They grind blades before backing away with Tosen swinging very fast while Yugi defensively parries and blocks each blow without trying. It was like facing Aizen.
''His swings are more precise and faster?!'' Tosen affirms to himself, recalling how evenly matched they were before but here; the boy is doing this with much less stamina and focus. He tries to vanish to get to Yugi's back to stab through him only for Yugi to reappear right in front of him. He staggers as Yugi swings his Dragon Blade instantly and Tosen is forced to block it only for the swing to send him flying away as he grinds his feet across the air to stop himself.
''And his strikes are stronger too.'' He confirms that too, taken back by this monstrous strength he has now.
Hisagi arrives rather injured to see this fight while Tosen raises his left hand at Yugi.
''Hado #54: Haien!'' He shouts, firing a burst of purple flames towards him. Yugi simply flaps his left wing to intercept the fireball and swipes it away with that wingbeat to Tosen's stun expression, even Komamura. This child was able to brush aside the dangerous flames of that Kido like it was nothing.
''Impossible.'' He utters as Yugi looks at him and advises him calmly. ''I suggest you use your Zanpakuto's powers or even your Bankai. I don't want to win like this.''
Tosen stumbles a bit by his words. Why would this child even wish to fight him at full strength? What is his damn game? No matter… he will regret it.
"… How naïve.'' He proclaims towards his awareness. ''I will not use them for I have gained new power.''
Yugi looks at him, puzzled. He watches as Tosen raises his left hand across his face, declaring calmly. ''Allow me to show you.'' A burst of purple energy erupts across his hand and expands across his body. Yugi braces, recognizing this energy.
''This sensation. It's-'' Komamura tells himself as this energy is Hollow. Hisagi sweats with a horrified expression as the energy fades away. Tosen emerges transformed as his head, neck, and throat are covered by a white Hollow mask with the exception of a small hole in the back for his hair. It has a smooth white surface, with the only feature being a bilateral line down the middle, separating the mask into two portions. Tosen's outfit also changes as he loses the orange strap on his shoulder and gains a chest plate and a pair of small slim shoulder guards with designs similar to his mask.
Yugi stares at this, astounded, before he theorizes what just happened. ''… I see. Aizen-kun can use that cube thing that Urahara-kun told us about to grant Hollowfication to anyone then?'' Aware of the Hogyoku from what Urahara told him and the others in advance.
''This is true Hollowfication, a power you can never hope to-'' Tosen begins to monologue his superior… until he suddenly finds himself bash across his mask by Yugi's left palm, thrusting him backwards. This staggers the former captain, the mask partly cracked as Yugi appears to his side and performs a predictable sword swing. Tosen reacts to it easily, swinging his blade underneath the Dragon Knight as he cuts through him… only to panic as what he hit is an afterimage.
Turning around in alarm, Tosen is smacked again across the head by Yugi's tail, stunning him long enough to stun him as Yugi extends his left fist, engulfed in purple flames.
''DRAGONAUN GEYSER!'' He roars, thrusting his fist right upon his chest and erupts an explosion of purple flames. The blast sends Tosen backwards, his chest shattered as he grunt in agony. He grinds his feet across the air, stopping himself but breathes heavily. However, the cracks heal up instantly.
''None of your attacks will-'' Tosen begins to proclaim confidently only to nearly get slash by the Dragon Blade as they then parry the other swings. They cross and slashes back-to-back but even with his increased speed and strength; Tosen is in disbelief that Yugi's aura is so much still dense and burning like a sun. It's not just that but he's barely trying as if he's still holding back his full strength.
He can't accept this as Tosen uses Sonido to get behind Yugi and thrusts his Zanpakuto through him… only for his sword to be suddenly grabbed by Yugi's left hand as he suddenly faces him. Tosen is speechless as Yugi shouts out as his tail swings at him.''DRAGONAUN TAIL SCREW!'' It spins around like a drill and stabs right through Tosen's chest, shattering the chest again and then slashes it across too.
''DRAGONAUN WINGBEAT!'' Yugi then roars, beating and flapping his dragon wings so strongly that they release sharp purple energy swirls of wind that cuts through Tosen and even sends him blasting onto a rooftop, crashing dead on.
''Incredible.'' Hisagi utters, barely responding to their speed. Komamura nods, not realizing the boy was this strong.
His wings calmed down, Yugi looks down at the damaged enemy and honestly; he finds no joy in winning a fight like this but he'll give him a chance before he finishes this. After all, he wants this day to end.
''My advice; use Bankai. At least your Hollow Mask will make you-'' Yugi begins giving his opponent some advice until Tosen lifts himself back up and it's there that the part of where his mouth is rips open, giving vertical lines on the top and bottom to resemble teeth and a voidless mouth.
''THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE!'' Tosen screams viciously, shrieking so strongly that the building he's standing on cracks and shatters apart. ''I have trained decades to one day achieve my vengeance against the one who took my captain and you; a mere human, surpasses even this!''
Komamura and Hisagi frown, aware of Tosen's despair of all he went through. Yugi can tell, feeling his pain and agony through his aura.
''You know NOTHING OF MY PAIN AND LOSS! OF WHAT TRUE JUSTICE IS!'' Tosen yells even madder, sounding more like a Hollow's howling by his anger towards Yugi's naïve nature. ''YOU ARE JUST LIKE ALL THOSE; SELFISH TO WHAT THEY WANT AND NOTHING MORE! I WILL NOT ACCEPT THIS!''
His body begins cracking with purple lighting as his body.
''Now witness…'' Tosen begins to announce, holding his Zanpakuto upside down as it glows in purple energy. ''TRUE POWER!'' His body is consumed in black-purple energy, blasting upward like a pillar of darkness. Yugi braces with the others as the pillar vanishes and emerging out of the pitch black darkness is Tosen but transformed, becoming a bestial Hollow-like creature. He resembles a massive fly with his body reshaped that he's hunched over and his entire body covered with black fur with a large Hollow hole in his torso. He also possesses four insect-like arms with clawed hands. On the hunch on his back are two long, spiraling horns, each adorned near the points with two rings with chains hanging from them. His head resembles a cricket, with a bilateral line running down the center, large bulbous eyes and large rings hanging from the side protrusions. At the bottom of the head is a small opening where his mouth is, which has jagged teeth. He has a long, bushy tail, and a double pair of insect wings.
''Resurrección: Suzumushi Hyakushiki: Grillar Grillo!'' Tosen announces, shrieking as his Spiritual Energy spreads across him now black with purple outline. Komamura scowls in disbelief by this form, not able to accept that Tosen would be willingly to become this.
''I now…'' Tosen then begins to say as his bug-like eyes roll and widen, seeing the world finally as he forms a twisted grin. ''SEE EVERYTHING! HAHAHA!'' He laughs, sounding so arrogant and boastful.
Yugi stares worryingly, not liking what he's become.
Naruto's group are left speechless as Sasuke approaches them calmly.
''Sasuke…'' Naruto utters out, squeezing his hand as he feels something really wrong with his friend. Judai just glares firmly, feeling such hate from him more than ever.
''Well glad to see you here… trying to kill us again.'' Edward says sarcastically, still remembering what he did to them in the future. However, Sasuke proclaims coldly. ''I'm not interested in you. These eyes only demand revenge upon those who made Itachi suffer!''
That takes the alchemist by surprise, widening his eyes. Ryan, not knowing the guy so much but being told he's a guy seeking revenge for his clan, questions him. ''Excuse me for pardoning in but if I'm hearing that correctly?''
''You heard him. All his talk about hating his brother's guts for what he did and wanting nothing more but to kill him; he's now talking about him, a dead man, that he was a saint!'' Edward declares loudly, finding this the craziest turnaround he's ever heard of. ''Is this some kind of joke? What kind of backwards logic is-''
Slowly scowling viciously towards his words about his brother, Sasuke suddenly widens his eyes angrily and dashes right in front of the small alchemist, unsheathing his blade and swinging downwards at him. Edward barely reacts, blocking with his automail arm. The blade cuts and rips through Ed's cloak and even his under jacket's sleeve before the Uchiha tries to pressure deeper into the automail and mixes it with lightning. It shocks the alchemist heavily.
''Ed!'' Ryan shouts, charging in but Judai beats him to it with Elemental HERO Neos suddenly appearing at the Uchiha's side and punches him directly. However, Judai notices a purple energy ribcage before Neos' punch sends Sasuke backwards.
Ed pants heavily, checking his arm as it looks good but boy will he need a tune up from Winry- GREAT… He'll have to see her and she'll yell at him for the damaged automail. Just his damn luck.
''Why are you doing this, bloke! Your whole goal was revenge against your brother and now-'' Ryan yells out, demanding to know what is wrong with him for almost killing his friend only for Sasuke to utter out, ignoring his questioning. ''Itachi… He lost more than I ever imagined.''
The group startles as Sasuke eyes his left hand, imagining all the pain he went lying to him, to himself… wondering if he cried since the day he was forced to kill their clan for the sake of that damn place. That enrages him, gazing up at the group but most of all to Naruto.
''He went through hell all for the sake of the village who forced his damn hands and tainted them with blood! And for that I will not forgive them; I will destroy Konoha!'' Sasuke declares as he raises his blade at Naruto while his eyes shift from the Sharingan into the Mangekyou. ''And if you stand in my way; I will kill you too, Naruto.''
Judai glares, confirming this guy is not the same, especially the change of his eyes. It must have the same evolved eyes that Kojan has too. The spiky blonde head doesn't get this change, why would Sasuke- Naruto suddenly pause as he recalls the last conversation with Itachi and what he said about Sasuke. Could this be what- Could this be some kind of Jutsu Itachi- No; there was something off about him for sure but he… What the hell is even happening?
Breathing to calm himself, Naruto questions him confused yet mad at his declaration. ''Sasuke, Konoha is your home and everyone who cares for you is over there! Why are you-''
''I lost everyone there!'' Naruto glares at Sasuke's interruption as all the Uchiha can see of that place are people smiling and laughing towards his brother. ''What remains is those who laughed and mocked the pain my brother went through.'' Just thinking of that, Sasuke's Chakra erupts as a purple aura, so dense and cold that it made his Curse Mark form look tamed. ''AND I WILL NOT TOLERATE IT!''
Naruto glares, feeling this hate just as much as Judai and Yubel.
''Judai, careful! He's-'' Yubel begins to warn him but Judai understands as his eyes for a brief moment turn golden. ''Yea, I feel it too! His darkness, his hatred!''
Frowning as this mess is too dangerous for Naruto to handle alone, Judai turns to Edward and tells him. ''Ed, help Shadow!''
Edward sweat drops, narrowing his eyes towards the opponent that the black hedgehog is going up against and honestly… Death came way too early for him.
''Just my luck.'' Sighing as he lowers his head, Ed runs off to that direction as Shadow will need the help.
''And Ryan-'' Judai begins to order Ryan who nods, getting the gist as he points his thumb at the gun-wielding Espada. ''I'll handle the other guy. Good luck pals!''
Judai gives him a thumbs up as Ryan runs off. He turns to Naruto and begins to remind him of what they have to do. ''Naruto, we-''
''I know, ya know!'' Speaking rather somber, Naruto declares as he takes on a fighting pose before dashing right at Sasuke.
Smirking evilly before he frowns, Sasuke charges back at as he extends his right fist. The two get close and immediately clash fist and follows into a flurry of punches but Naruto is clearly performing better due to Frog Kumite, shocking the young Uchiha as he ducks a kick but finds himself blasted away; almost torn apart if he didn't put up a Susanoo rib cage around him in the last second. The impact sends him flying across the ground until he twirls and slides across the ground, skidding his feet, before pouncing back up on his feet.
Naruto widens his eyes as Sasuke yells out, manifesting his skeleton form of his Susanoo and recognizes that this is similar to Kojan's.
''That form.'' He utters out with Judai nodding. ''Sasuke has one of those eye powers like Kojan!''
Sasuke yells out as the Susanoo thrusts its arms at them at a barrage of punches. Judai had to summon Neo-Spacian Air Hummingbird to grab onto him and take him up high to evade the fists while Naruto dodges them easily, almost reacting before they hit him. He quickly creates a Shadow Clone and the two jump up and begin forming a gigantic Rasengan.
''SAGE ART: MASSIVE RASENGAN!'' Naruto shouts, diving right towards Sasuke as he thrusts his massive sphere at him.
''Wrath of Neos!'' Judai commands Neos who comes right at the Uchiha, evading around the Susanoo's punches with his superior strength.
Sasuke sees he's going to get hit either way as his left eye begins bleeding.
''BLAZE RELEASE: KAGUTSUCHI!'' He shouts, manifesting black flames across his Susanoo. Neos is the first to bash his fist onto the avatar as he is quickly consumed by the flames that he also connected with. He grunts in agony before he explodes. Naruto's gigantic spiraling sphere connects against the avatar in flames, pressuring it greatly that even Sasuke felt it within his Susanoo. Naruto grunts, pushing harder as his Rasengan explodes, blasting both the flames and the Susanoo away as Sasuke emerges unscratched but panting a bit.
''W-What were those flames?'' Judai utters in alarmed, never seeing those before. Naruto lands on the ground, just recalling similar flames way back when he was a kid, the same flames Jiraiya collected from when-
''You're different.'' Naruto looks up at Sasuke, glaring at him intensely. He can see his Chakra and it's completely different, like there's something more with it unlike with that Kyuubi and it's made him stronger.
Sasuke would be impressed if he wasn't enraged, declaring confidently. ''But I am different too! Far more!'' Raising his left hand, Sasuke shouts loudly. ''WHITE LIGHTNING!'' He fires a lightning bolt, moving at top speed at Naruto who moves around it instantly.
Quickly taking this chance; Sasuke manifests his humanoid robed Susanoo, taking aim with its crossbow energy weapon and fires its large energy arrow at full speed right at Naruto… who's suddenly protected by both Elemental HERO Mudballman and Gaia. The arrow stabs through them but their bodies manage to redirect the arrow away from Naruto. Judai breathes a sigh of relief, summoning his HEROes as they are destroyed instead.
Growing madder, Sasuke proclaims coldly. ''Naruto, I intend to kill you and wipe all of Konoha into ashes!'' He breathes inward before he begins chanting. ''Gather, 46 spirits of flame! Magic Arrows, Series of Fire!''
Taking aim with its crossbow, Sasuke's Susanoo fires multiple magical fire arrows at Naruto and Judai. Naruto quickly creates 2 Shadow Clones to do something but Judai immediately summons Neo-Spacian Flare-Scarab, Elemental HERO Heat and Lady Heat to absorb the fire arrow shots with their bodies.
Naruto declares seriously at Sasuke. ''I won't let that happen! I don't know what made you changed but that doesn't change…'' Thinking back to all they did as Team 7, he refuses to turn his back from him as he and his Clones begin forming their trump card. ''That you're my friend and I'll snap you out by force!''
Sasuke glares intensely but hesitates for a moment that he still thinks like that. Naruto tosses a smoke bomb, covering both him, his clones and Judai. The young Uchiha glares, letting his eyes track whatever strange-
Multiple Fuma Shurikens fly through the smoke that Sasuke easily swipes at them with his Susanoo arms but the Shurikens had explosive tags that explode on impact. The skeleton avatar withstands them but this is all a distraction as Sasuke notices Naruto emerging out, thrown through the smoke as he comes at Sasuke with another Massive Rasengan.
''Idiot!'' Sasuke shouts as his left eye bleeds and Amaterasu erupts and consumes Naruto… until he poofs into smoke. He startles as another thing shoots out from the smoke from above this time and it's Naruto, thrown up and wielding the massive energy wind Fuma Shuriken shaped attack.
Sasuke just smirks as it is just a different shaped Rasengan. He can easily wipe it away as he begins to chant. ''Open the nine locks, and come forth from the hoard of Lægjarn.'' He sheathed his blade and reached it with that same hand form, gripping onto flames that erupt and transform into a giant flaming pillar-sized sword. ''Divine Sword of Blazing Conflagration!''
Judai panics as that thing is massive.
''SAGE ART: RASENSHURIKEN!'' Naruto yells out strongly, not afraid of that, as he swings his right arm forward and the giant energy-shaped Shuriken is thrown out of his hand, spinning and flying rapidly towards a surprised Sasuke.
''He can throw it?!'' He yells mentally as he still swings his massive magical fire sword at the attack and they connect… only for the Rasenshuriken to glow and collide and cut through the sword. Judai watches as the collision of fire and wind against the other and results in a massive explosion.
Naruto lands on the ground, looking at the smoke of the explosion before-
''Snap me out?'' Sasuke's voice echoes, insinuating those words, before he suddenly blitzes out of nowhere with his magic speed and slams Naruto onto a building wall with a Susanoo fist. Naruto easily blocks it with his forearms, crashing onto the surface.
''I'll ask you again after all those years…'' Sasuke then begins to say as suddenly appears right in front of Naruto and grabs him by the collar of his closed jacket and locks eyes to him, glaring intensely. ''Someone like you who has neither parents or brothers, think you can understand me?!''
In that moment, the two reflect back then when they were just kids, fighting in the Final Valley. Back then it was to stop Sasuke from reaching Orochimaru and even though things are not the same way as they are now; it is still the same topic they argue towards.
''These ties I have always been an agony, losing those I love while you've been alone your whole life!'' Sasuke yells furiously, trying to control himself but it pisses him off more than anything that this idiot pursues him like a damn lost puppy.
''…'' Silent much like back then with no answer, Naruto however understands that pain… reflecting on Jiraiya's death.
''I get it now.'' Sasuke staggers when Naruto responds, glaring madly as his Kyuubi eyes overlap with his Sage Mode. ''THAT'S WHY…'' He kicks him so hard that Sasuke's eyes turn blank before tossed away. Naruto pulls out a Kunai Wristblade, enhancing it with Wind Chakra. Sasuke sees this and pulls out his blade, coating it in Lightning Chakra. They dash at the other, clashing kicks, punches and sparks flying from their weapons though it's obvious Sasuke is faster but Naruto can react due to his Sage Mode reaction speed.
Judai watches as the two clash while evading the other's attacks. Sparks fly out as the two are neck-to-neck at the other, attacking faster and faster until both are in a clashing lock, grabbing onto the other with their own hand. They refuse to break apart with Naruto headbutting Sasuke across his head as he finishes yelling. ''I CAN'T GIVE UP!''
Annoyed by him, Sasuke head bashes him back, releasing the grip. He then vanishes and gets behind the spiky blonde-headed, thrusting his blade at his back only for Naruto to quickly create a Shadow Clone from behind him that catches Sasuke's sword arm and throws him at top speed through a building if not for his Susanoo to manifest and tanks the impact. Naruto watches as he and his clone begin to create another Rasengan, feeling his Sage Mode about to run out again.
The Susanoo vanishes but in its place is a lightning bolt flying everywhere and Sasuke dashes through it, forming a Chidori and with the intent to kill him.
''NARUTO!'' Sasuke roars, charging right at him as Naruto's clone spins and tosses the original right towards the Uchiha while also yelling out. ''SASUKE!''
Thrusting their attacks forward, the two shout in unity. ''RASENGAN! / CHIDORI!''
Judai watches as the two are about to collide their attacks until the Wizardriver announces. ''DEFEND, PLEASE!'' A fiery magical barrier manifests in between the two attacks, blocking and even deflecting the two away from the other. Naruto and Sasuke land on their feet, slide backwards before pressuring their feet to stop themselves, leaving behind skid marks.
''And here I thought you were the less destructive one.'' Judai turns to see Wizard standing beside him, sighing as he's pretty confident their attacks would have caused a massive mess.
Naruto pants, feeling his Sage Mode about to end, as he tries to tell the rider to leave this fight to him but Sasuke beats him to the punch by charging at him, shouting irritably. ''Don't interfere!''
Judai panics as Wizard sees him coming at him with a sword thrust but he already slides his right hand over his driver.
''CONNECT, PLEASE!'' The Wizardriver announces as the rider raises his right hand and a magical portal manifests. This causes Sasuke to slow down just enough for Wizard to pull out his WizarSwordGun and swings through the vanishing portal at the Uchiha who reacts instantly and blocks the sword with his own. Sparks fly out as Sasuke leaps upward and performs a swift kick that Wizard dodges to the left. The Uchiha lands and now comes swinging his blade at him which Wizard easily parries with his own sword. Sparks fly out as the two dash around fast, Wizard being more flexible but Sasuke able to still pressure him.
Sasuke thrusts his blade, charging up Lightning Chakra but Wizard switches his sword into gun form and fires a barrage of magical fire bullets that the Uchiha dodges around the bullets that are moving in slow motion due to his eyes until the bullets bended and came at his back, forcing the Uchiha to manifests his Susanoo rib cage to protect himself. This moment is when Wizard gets to his grunt and kicks the Uchiha with a fiery kick, blasting him into the air regardless of his rib cage.
''Red Blaze!'' Sasuke shouts angrily in the air as he raises his free hand, shooting out an intense burst of flames upon Wizard. They consume him instantly only for the flames to be absorbed into the rider, fueling him with magic. Sasuke is shocked as Wizard questions him curiously. ''That was magic you used?''
Sasuke doesn't answer as he lands on the ground and immediately fires 24 Lightning Magic Arrows at him. Wizard steps left to the right like a dance, evading the arrows while switching rings on his right hand and immediately swipes it over his belt while Sasuke fires 48 Magic Arrows, half fire and half lightning.
''BIG, PLEASE!'' The Wizardriver announces as Wizard moves his right hand into a magical portal that manifests and emerging on the other side is a massive arm of his that he swings around and bashes through all of the magic arrows with ease.
Getting annoyed, Sasuke casts another spell, calling it out. ''Shocking Weapon Reinforcement!''
His robed Susanoo manifests, taking aim with its crossbow and shoots out an electrical aura energy arrow at Wizard who quickly swipes his Flame Style with the Hurricane Style ring from his left hand.
''HURRICANE, PLEASE! FU-FU, FU-FU-FU-FU!'' The Wizardriver announces as a green magical portal manifests in front of Wizard which absorbs the arrow. It then moves and overlaps around Wizard before the portal flips and Wizard is pulled and emerges upward in his Hurricane form. He takes aim with his gun and fires wind-lightning magical shots that Sasuke's Susanoo guards against except the bullets piercing through it but halfway through.
Seeing a possible chance to do damage, Wizard changes rings in his right hand before he swipes that hand over his belt.
''VERY NICE! THUNDER!'' The Wizardriver announces as Wizard aims his right hand and releases a powerful lightning blast towards Sasuke, blasting him instantly. ''THE BEST!''
Sasuke panics as his Susanoo still guards as the lightning blast hits through the avatar, nearly passing through it but Sasuke uses White Lightning across his Susanoo, countering the opposing lightning. He breathes, needing to be careful as he's still new, balancing both Chakra and Magic at the same time.
Wizard lowers his hand, recognizing this magic a bit better now.
''Your magic is similar to hers.'' He proclaims, remembering that Dark Evangel or whatever she called herself. Evangeline overhears that and grins, impressed he remembers her.
''Hehe, wouldn't you want to know.'' Sasuke taunts him with a small smirk before he scowls furiously. ''I'm done being nice. For these eyes…'' His Mangekyou eyes glow like blood as his Susanoo howls viciously in response. ''SEE DARKNESS AND HATRED!''
Wizard groans quietly as he slides on the Hurricane Dragon ring, going to need all the power to beat him then.
From afar, someone was watching the fight and it was Obito, his arms crossed and snickering. He saw through the fake Sasuke body with a single glance but didn't bother, curious what the Dark Lord was doing with him and he actually impressed him with this growth in Sasuke's powers. It's more than that, he's entertained to see Sasuke's hatred evolved and still growing by the interaction between him and Naruto. It's honestly even better, in one point reminding of himself and Kakashi... but to teach his sensei's son a valuable lesson; life is filled with nothing but losers and disappointment.
''Ho-oh, so that's what you were doing with Sasuke…'' He theorizes what he's been doing with him, praising the real Dark Lord with his Sharingan showing through the eyehole of his mask. ''Akumu Momomiya.''
He then vanishes as he has other concerns to deal with and await when Pain arrives after dealing with Konoha. Shouldn't be long.
As the fights have been happening, unaware by all; a strange reddish portal rips open and a small figure emerges, wearing black ropes covering himself but his animal-like tail
"This is the world you've been hiding…'' He utters, feeling the Chaos Energy close by as he moves his head towards a fight happening. It reveals one side of the face of the jackal, Zero, as his eye gazes with such hatred. He grits his teeth enraged, finishing himself. ''You damn black hedgehog!''
He grips on the Phantom Ruby he attached to a chain around his neck, glowing before he vanishes.
Commercial Break:
Running to the other fight; Ed can't help but growl, noticing the fireworks right behind him in that fight. He hopes that idiot has a plan as-
"Why are you even here?'' Staggering as he nearly trips up, Edward stops himself to eye Shadow from afar, seeing him before facing Barragan.
The alchemist makes an expression, not sure how to tell him to not be an a-s-s so he responds as simply as he could put it. "To help you?''
''… Do what you want.'' Shadow firmly says, not even looking back at him. Ed sighs, taking that as a win as he eyes their enemy from afar. The guy literally is the Grim Reaper if he was a king and boy is he extremely uncomfortable.
''Hey, bonehead!'' Regardless, Ed begins to call him out, demanding to know who they're going up against this time. ''What's your name!''
Scoffing coldly at that human's tone, Barragan declines by proclaiming. ''I refuse to address myself with mortals, no less feeble mortals. I have no time for you worms.''
Ed just makes another firm yet confused face. So maybe this guy might not want to fight them at all? Could be worth a try to convince him that they're only concerned about stopping Aizen. He nods, taking the chance to tell him. ''Listen, we don't want to fight! We just want to deal with Aizen and-''
''The only one who will get rid of Aizen shall be I!'' Barragan immediately yells furiously, refusing to let anyone, no less some human mortals, be the one to kill Aizen but him and ONLY him.
Edward makes a stunned, sweat dropping expression as if to question that this guy is serious. He gazes at Shadow with that same look and he just shrugs it, getting it a bit.
''But first to ensure the rule of Hollows, you and those who side with the Shinigami shall rot away.'' Barragan announces, swinging his massive double bladed-ax towards his side.
''Great, even his own people want to kill him and us.'' Ed utters with heavy sweat drops, puzzled by the whole ''loyalty'' these Espada have. He should have asked that madman when he had the chance.
''Don't engage him, child.'' Fullmetal blinks, turning around to see Sui-Feng and Hachigen but most of all was her arms. One arm is badly wounded and seemingly broken… the other one is just gone, cut off.
''What the hell happened to your arms?!'' Ed yells out in alarm, not expecting a so-called Shinigami could get this hurt. Sui-Feng growls, looking away humiliated. First was that other human she underestimated. And then was that damn Espada and his ability that forced her to remove her arm.
''I got careless, twice.'' She simply comments, refusing to admit this is bad for her.
''Don't blame yourself.'' Hachigen tells her of her irritation. ''The youth are always full of mystery.''
''… Yea cool. Maybe together, we can-'' Ed begins to say that teamwork will be the key to dealing with the Espada but Shadow has heard enough and charges at Barragan to the alchemist's irritation. ''HEY!''
The black hedgehog kicks at Barragan as he feels his body slowing down. Barragan scoffs as he swings his massive weapon at him but Shadow pushes himself with his Chaos Energy, delivering a fast, stunning kick at the Espada's head, sending him backwards through the air till he stops himself.
''I said I got this!'' Shadow proclaims firmly, knowing what he's doing. Ed can't help but want to throw something at his stupid logic as is-
''Idiot! He can age anything!'' Sui-Feng yells out just as mad, warning him of the enemy's dangerous ability.
''Age?'' Ed mutters, not following.
Shadow watches as Barragan hisses as he walks forward.
''So you wish to approach me.'' The Espada mocks his attempt to fight him. ''Then come. I shall show you-''
"What are your pronouns?" Barragan half opens his skull jaw, confused by Shadow's question. "Excuse me?"
"I want to confirm if you are he or it." The black hedgehog explains, gazing serious about it. Barragan can't help but growl at such a stupid question. "What does it matter to you!" He demands, irritated.
"..." Shadow just glares at him firmly, wanting his response.
Grunting more. Barragan ultimately answers him proudly. "I am he and it, I am the God of Hollows!"
Shadow hums and nods, responding. "I see. Your pronouns are valid..." He then takes on a fighting pose. "But your life isn't."
The former Hollow King growls more as black-purple mist-like energy emerges across his body.
''Fool! Witness the decay of all life; Respira!'' He announces, breathing the mist as it spreads towards Shadow first.
''Like hell!'' Ed shouts, clapping his hands and slams them on the ground. He transmutes multiple walls that shootout between Shadow and this mist. This should give him a moment to think of-
Suddenly Ed widens his eyes as his walls are shattering apart or rather crumpled into dust by the mist penetrating through it.
''He can disintegrate- no.'' He begins to correct himself, eyeing the Shinigami and agrees with her warning now. ''He can literally age anything that aura touches.'' He then warns Shadow loudly. ''Hey! We need a damn plan so don't-''
Once more, Shadow charges and right into the mist head first. Ed drops his jaw before he yells out madly. ''SHADOW, THAT IDIOT!''
Sui-Feng also grunts, not thinking anyone would be stupid to go in there. The damn fool, dying for nothing.
Barragan can't help but chuckle a bit, never meeting such a foolish creature willingly to charge in and accept his death that quickly.
''How naïve.'' He expresses, never this amused in a long time. ''Mortals have always been a mystery for their carelessness and mistreatment of life.''
Ed growls at that comment as the skeleton Hollow continues boasting his greatness. ''But all beings are that. They are all victims to Father Time, to the Time of Aging. All but I, the one who decides who lives and who dies. For all wait for Death and I shall-''
''So you're calling yourself Death then?'' Barragan is cut silent, looking down and watching as someone walks out from the death fog. Ed is also speechless as is Sui-Feng that it is Shadow, perfectly fine. Hachigen watches rather interestingly, wondering on the how then the what.
''You know, Death could never claim my soul before and it won't start now.'' Shadow proclaims, dusting off some bit of the mist off his fur.
The 2nd Espada can't make expressions due to his skeleton face but his jaw dropped slightly before he utters out in protest. ''Impossible! How can you survive my Respira?!''
He releases another death mist fog that Shadow uses his Homing Attack through it, coming out unfazed and striking Barragan across his stomach. It stuns the Espada, both in disbelief and pain, as he thrusted into a wall and crashes through an empty building before coming at the other side. Barragan stops himself in the air, gasping as Shadow teleports right above him and reforms a downward, double fisted attack across his head that sends him crashing on top of a rooftop and shatters that small building apart.
Sui-Feng makes an awkward, shocking expression while Hachigen hums of astonishment. It is not possible for someone to simply resist this from what he saw with his Kido barriers being devoured by the same mist.
''Why am I not surprised.'' Ed utters, shocked by himself to react like this when clearly from his adventure with the others that this kind of nonsense DOES and WILL happen.
''HEY!'' Shadow turns halfway towards Ed's direction as the young alchemist asks, yelling. ''HOW THE HELL ARE YOU STILL OKAY!''
Shadow stares at him before he scoffs. ''I supposed none of you asked me this so I'll explain…'' He begins to tell him. ''I'm immortal.''
This surprises the other two while Ed blinks, honestly not surprised since this is an anthro talking hedgehog.
''… Hence why you're the so-called Ultimate Lifeform. Thought it was your Chaos Powers.'' Edward assumes that his powers were why he has that grand title. Shadow scoffs as he explains firmly. ''It's one part of it. I was created to be immortal and ageless… to become the solution of all cures of all diseases, especially Maria's.'' He frowns at the last part, unable to complete his purpose to save her life.
Edward frowns, now getting it as he lowers his head sadly.
''I get it now. Shadow, I'm-'' He begins to apologize to bring up bad memories but the black hedgehog calls him out firmly. ''I don't need apologies from you.'' Aware of Edward's own sin; he can understand this human's pursuit to fix his mistakes like he did too. ''We both committed crimes against life we're not proud of and we both tried to find atonement for them. Simple as that.''
''…'' Ed looks at him and sighs, nodding as he forms a small smile. ''Guess you're right.''
''DAMN MORTAL!'' Shadow looks forward at Barragan, emerging out from the building that's becoming ashes due to his ability. The black hedgehog scoffs, proclaiming. ''You just don't quit.'' He charges at him with a kick that Barragan evades with Sonido, getting behind him as he swings his ax at him only for Shadow to teleport in front of him, swinging his kick to block and repel the ax weapon.
''CHAOS SPEAR!'' Shadow then shouts, swinging his right arm and fires a golden energy spear at close range, hitting Barragan across the chest and blasting him onto the side of another building. He gasps in pain as Shadow somersaults and lands on a rooftop.
''Seems my energy attacks can somewhat hurt you too.'' He proclaims with a smug smirk. Barragan growls madly, grunting as he tries to breath his Respira again only for a torrent of flames to explode upon him.
Ed is surprised, turning to see Mustang standing beside him. He pants heavily, his right shoulder still bleeding out from the stab he received before. He just came here after he helped Armstrong take both Hawkeye and Havoc away from the area after being healed by Mew Ichigo.
''Colonel!'' Edward utters with Mustang eyeing him and smirks, commenting as if his wound isn't a big deal. ''Some entrance the kid pulled off.''
Ed just smirks as he says. ''Yea well Yugi being flashy paid off.''
Mustang agrees as his father was similar. He reaches with his good arm to a strange book and shoves it in front of Edward's view, telling him. ''Here.''
Fullmetal looks puzzled as he takes it and opens it. He studies the content and he's shocked that he's reading a certain alchemy. He understands it clearly, astonished by the detail and description.
''Where did you get this?'' He questions him, astonished as the book contains the style called Blast… Alchemy… OH.
Noticing his expression, Mustang smiles as he informs him. ''A gift from a friend of mine. You met the Raging Blast Alchemist before.''
Ed does recall him… and did not like him. He hums, turning the page to the first page and he's surprised there's a note to him from-
He immediately snaps, yelling out enraged. ''WHY THE HELL DID HE WRITE DOWN SQUIRT INSTEAD OF MY NAME?!'' Pointing his finger at the name he referred to him. Mustang just gives him a narrow look, not surprised to be honest.
''Why isn't he here?'' Edward then asks him, puzzled that he's not bother to even show up and help them. Mustang just sighs, knowing why as it just brings back too many bad memories for him.
''Wounds, Fullmetal; wounds.'' Mustang proclaims, giving his reasons… reflecting back the day Takao died.
Ed just nods as he proclaims. ''Alright, let's help Shadow finish this skull-face for good!''
''Fine by me!'' Sui-Feng declares, regaining movement in her healed arm.
Shadow overhears them as he dodges around Barragan insane swings, finding them slow compared to Ulquiorra in his second form. At least this confirms he's stronger among the other Espada; easy pickings for him.
''CHAOS ATTACK!'' Shadow performs a Homing Attack that Barragan counters with his swing but Shadow pushes it back across his side. He unfolds and delivers five enhanced Chaos Punches and Kicks, each blow a bit more powerful than the last. Barragan grunts through each blow before the last one Shadow delivers a double armed axe blow that sends Barragan crashing onto a rooftop.
''Damn you!'' Barragan curses out, dashing upward towards him as Shadow then shouts. ''CHAOS BURST!'' He distorts space in front of him as he slides in and vanishes. Barragan startles as he moves through where Shadow was but hits nothing. Just then Shadow reappears out of the separate space and crosses his arms, forming a red aura.
''CHAOS BLAST!'' Shadow yells out releasing his widespread explosion of red Chaos Energy. Barragan barely reacts to the close-ranged explosion, firing a Cero from his mouth to penetrate through the explosion but Ed was hoping to have his back exposed.
''Now Fullmetal!'' Mustang proclaims, raising his good arm forward, swirls of red discharged energy gathering around his palm. Ed claps his hands as he holds them forward while the same charging energy forms around both his palms. Both Alchemists perform 2 red energy Blast Alchemy attacks, hitting a surprised Barragan across the back. Ed gasps in pain, not used to Blast Alchemy as it requires heat to form the blast.
Their attacks stun the Espada enough for Shadow to release more of his power, exploding and blasting Barragan away until he escapes the explosion with Sonido, reappearing above them.
He breathes heavily, panting as the explosion nearly took him out but now-
''BANKAI: JAKUHO RAIKOBEN!'' Barragan looks down and spots Sui-Feng, manifesting the massive rocket missile as she takes aim at him. He just laughs as he'll just- The Espada suddenly startles as he's suddenly sealed inside some kind of reinforced Kido barrier that Hachigen had already formed before he noticed it. He was distracted by the enemy to even-
''FIRE!'' Sui-Feng yells out, firing her destructive missile right into the hole-like door of the Kido barrier and it detonates upon Barragan, consuming it and the powerful explosion within the barrier. She smirks, breathing before her Bankai reverts back to base and she drops onto the rooftop.
''Huh? That worked.'' Ed utters, astonished that it even worked the way it did especially with the concept of logic and magic used together. ''I am so mixed about alchemy and spirit magic-'' Just the thought drove him upset, complaining. ''Aw, even that word sounds off!''
Mustang can't help but smirk, telling him. ''Heh, open your options sometimes Fullmetal.''
Ed growls annoyed as Shadow lands on a rooftop, looking up at the Kido barrier as he knows that-
''DAMN ROTTENS!'' Screaming out furious, the black mist of Respira melts through the barrier and emerging out of it is Barragan, heavily damaged with a cracked open face but still alive. This shocks almost everyone with Ed yelling in distress. ''He survived?!''
''OF COURSE I DID! I AM A GOD!'' Barragan yells furiously, refusing to die by mere mortals, bugs before him and losing to them. ''This is not the end! An emperor such as I, a God, will NOT DIE LIKE THIS!''
''…'' Shadow just glares down at Barragan, staggering the Espada by his cold gaze. Nothing scares Barragan, not even Yamamoto… but then he met Aizen and felt something he has never felt before. And now he's actually overwhelmed by this creature who resists aging. Why? Why must he suffer?
''I am… I still am… the God of All Hollows, King of Hueco Mundo…'' He begins to utter, squeezing his grip on his weapon as he howls loudly. ''I… I WILL REGAIN WHAT WAS LOST TO ME!''
Shadow gazes towards him and scoffs, seeing through him and immediately yells at him. ''Then face him!''
Barragan is startled by that declaration as Shadow tells him firmly. ''You want your kingdom, your kind, your position as king, as a God…'' He walks up to the Hollow, pointing his finger at him with a strong minded gaze. ''Oppose him, start a revolution and reclaim what was taken; dying if you must!''
''…'' Barragan is struck in silence. Hachigen eyes the strange creature, realizing what he's aiming for.
''What's wrong? Are you actually afraid of him or are you afraid to lose everything again!'' Shadow mocks the so-called king in reobtaining what is his. Barragan, still silent, should be furious, wanting nothing more but to age all of them into ashes and yet… For the first time in a long time, Barragan has never been talked to like that and by someone he… he…
''… I am… afraid of death.'' Shadow stares at Barragan at his declaration, looking down rather defeated for a bunch of bones. He admits his fear ever since Aizen bested him, fearing his reign will end by another who was above him in every possible way. If there is one thing he feared about death is to be forgotten, to lose what he earned with his own power. Is he really… destined to die?
Sighing, Shadow announces with a softer voice. ''I too am afraid of death but death for those around me. As someone who is the closest to a God, I would trade it away to be with the person I want.''
Barragan looks at him, not able to show an expression but he's shocked. He would trade his power to be with someone?
''I don't care if you love or care for anyone but I know you desire what is yours deeply. For that means more than anything.'' Shadow then proclaims, staring at him. ''What's good about being a God if everything that made you who you were dies before your eyes!''
Ed is left speechless too. Did Shadow just become Yugi for a moment?
Those last words hit a cord within the Espada, looking away briefly. He ponders about that too. He was forced to join Aizen's little group but all that time he felt like he was a pawn. And the black creature's words made him realize how much he misses what he lost.
Looking back to face him, Barragan finally speaks up, sounding calmer. ''… You are a strange creature.''
''And you are an arrogant king, getting bossed around by a worm who should be put in his place.'' Shadow tells him back as Barragan can't help but chuckle.
''You might be onto something after-'' He begins to agree with him until a roaring voice interrupts him. ''I FOUND YOU!''
Not liking the sound of that, Shadow turns to spot a figure from a distance as he leaps across rooftops towards him.
''I suggest you go and face him.'' Shadow suggests the former Hollow King. Barragan just looks at him and turns his back, proclaiming. ''Once I'm done with Aizen, we will resume our fight. A God should not ever let another Immortal live.''
Shadow just smirks, nodding. The Espada scoffs a bit, rather amused towards him before vanishing. Hachigen oddly smiles, surprised that such a stoic creature like him convinced the King of all Hollows to oppose Aizen.
Ed is honestly relieved until the cloak figure arrives, obviously being Zero with one eye glaring viciously towards Shadow. Finally, he found him and his emotions were all full effect.
''Looks like someone from Mobius. Wonder why-'' Edward begins to conclude only for the cloak Zero to utter out in a rather cold voice towards Shadow as if he is picturing Eclipse too. ''You think I'm weak, having that manslaughter my squad, my precious comrades!''
''…'' Shadow gazes at him silently, not understanding what he's talking about. This only enrages the jackal as he loses it, screaming like a madman. ''YOU THINK YOU'RE COOL! WELL NOT ANYMORE! FOR I AM NOT WEAK ANYMORE!'' The Phantom Ruby reacts as the world around them distorts and Shadow feels it in surprise. ''What the?!''
He barely has a moment to react as Zero raises his hand forward and a massive pillar manifests out of thin air and bashes right across Shadow, slamming him through a building that suddenly has multiple large blades shot through the walls of that empty building, aiming to shred the black hedgehog from the inside.
''W-what the hell…'' Ed utters out, stunned by what just happened. ''He just created these out of thin air!''
Mustang agrees, finding that similar to Alchemy but it's more than that as it didn't require anything in exchange.
The jackal watches with an evil grin until a burst of energy erupts from the shredded building, blasting it apart as Shadow dashes out of it, unharmed, as he comes at the enemy with a Chaos Fist. Zero manifests space around him, causing a red distortion across the area as Shadow is suddenly pinned and slammed by robotic fists.
Edward immediately rushes to help Shadow, trying to shout at the enemy. ''HEY, UM…'' He questions if he should call him a dog though it looks like a jackal. He doesn't have time to double guess as he yells out. ''SCREW YOU!'' He slams his hands on the ground and manifests massive spikes out of the ground through the robot hands, pushing them off Shadow as he shoots out of there, coming right at Zero by firing Chaos Spears. Zero repels them with a red-black distorted surrounding his body.
Ed quickly transmutes massive pillars, shooting from underneath the jackal to knock him out but before they reach him, the pillars are suddenly bended bend around Zero and redirected towards Shadow, trying to stab him but dodges them swiftly as he runs across them to deliver a kick but Zero swings his arm and releases a repulse of red-black energy that blasts Shadow away, landing right beside him.
''Who the heck is this guy?'' Ed questions, slightly panicked and confused by this guy's powers.
''No clue…'' Shadow simply comments, glaring firmly towards the jackal who looks down at him with a smug grin, proclaiming. ''Now who's weak now?''
The group were being watched by one of Eggman drones, laughing to see Shadow actually struggling but also good since he wants the black hedgehog to try to win.
''Oh ho-ho-ho, wonder who has the guts to fight Shadow-'' The doctor questions who this mysterious being is. Clearly, he's from Mobius though…
It's then in one of the frames that Eggman spots something within the cloak of the jackal. He rewinds the recording and zooms it as he pulls up his goggles and widens his actual red eyes.
''What? Impossible!'' Eggman proclaims in surprise, putting on his goggles as he sees the strange ruby that used to be in his position long ago… until it was lost to him by Sonic's actions. He's been trying to relocate it but no luck until now.
''The Phantom Ruby! How did he-'' He utters in confusion and dismay but then he stops him, realizing he can use its powers. He recalls all the times his mechas and Metal tried to utilize the power of the ruby but none were able to fully manifest its full power since living beings would get hurt using it. Maybe… could he?
Robotnik cracks a small grin, uttering eagerly. ''Oh, this is going to be very interesting.''
Aizen narrows his eyes at the fight happening with that black hedgehog, curious who's fighting him when clearly-
''AIZEN!'' Speaking of the devil, Aizen smirks softly as he turns around to look at the injured Barragan, appearing before him. The traitorous Shinigami looks at him with a calm yet narrow gaze before questioning him. ''What would you want, 2nd Espada? Do you wish to talk or-''
Barragan uses Sonido to appear in front of Aizen and swings his battle-ax at him only for Aizen to move around to the left so slowly and yet so fast that he evades the swing entirely. He then dashes to the side as Barragan swings around at him, trying to land a hit at him.
''NO! What I want, what I desire…'' Barragan begins to argue furiously as he tries to slash down the man who humiliated him like no other. ''IS TO REGAIN WHAT WAS TAKEN FROM ME!''
Aizen doesn't answer him as he still dodges his swings while Barragan continues bantering through his aggressive attacks. ''I am the God of Hueco Mundo, the emperor of all Hollows AND I WILL NOT LET SOME CHILD LIKE YOU TO BOSS ME AROUND OR TAKE WHAT IS RIGHTFUL MINES!'' His voice howls as he swings faster and harder.
Yamamoto watches this, lying on the ground, badly wounded by the explosion of his own flames.
''Barragan…'' He utters in confusion, assuming he was one of Aizen's pawns and instead he was just another pawn of his.
Barragan uses Sonido in such a way, making copies of himself around Aizen, distracting him by his numbers before appearing in his front and swinging his ax when he least expects it.
His axe connects… and yet Barragan startles as his arms can't push forward. He looks forward and sees his ax is stopped by Aizen's mere hand with his fingertips gripping the blade of his weapon in place. This shocks the Hollow King as he barely saw him react to that strike.
"… I see.'' Slowly speaking with an amused expression, Aizen acknowledges the Hollow King's grief but not surprise that this was the reason behind it. ''I have always been curious when you would rebel and oppose me.''
Barragan just growls aggressively as Aizen releases the grip of his weapon as he pulls back.
''You humiliated me, took my throne and forced my vast kingdom of Hollows into your petty fight with the Shinigami!'' He begins complaining furiously for each action this man has done to him. ''I followed you for I want everything but that creature made me realize I can die.''
Thinking back at Shadow's words, life really is fleeting. Even he could die and a God should never die but what's good about living if he is under the shadow of another.
''If I want everything back, I must do it before my time is up.'' He proclaims as he raises his battle-ax towards him ''That is why I will kill you and destroy the shadow you have over me, Aizen!''
''…'' Aizen is silent, both his hands in his pocket with his sword still sheathed. The Espada growls, insulted he's not even putting up the struggle to defend-
''Tell me, Barragan…'' Barragan startles as Aizen begins to speak with a calm tone, questioning him. ''What are your thoughts on the weak and the strong?''
The Hollow King opens a bit of his mouth, baffled by this ridiculous question.
''What kind of question is that?'' He demands, annoyed with Aizen replying with a smile. ''Humor me.''
Even more annoyed, Barragan doesn't have a choice but to answer him through his eyes. ''The weak follow the strong as shields and do what the strong order them!''
''I see. Very predictable.'' Confirming his suspicions, Aizen slowly forms a scowl and proclaims coldly. ''You being a God, a King; is pathetic.''
''W-WHAT DID YOU SAY?!'' A flabbergasted Barragan howls furiously. Aizen just smirks at his old traditions and explains calmly. ''The strong and weak are the greatest errors of this world. It forces your will to obey the strong, forbidding others from pursuing what they desire. Just like the Hollows hunting humans; an endless cycle of misery.''
He then gazes coldly towards the former king of Hueco Mundo, proclaiming. ''That is why you are unfit to be a God and why I am fit to be God. I will end that cycle and reshape the world by replacing the fraud that is the Soul King.''
Yamamoto glares, fearing that is what he's aiming for. Barragan is left stunned as if what Aizen declared was of a foreign language.
''You…'' He begins to utter before the Hollow suddenly begins laughing and then yells madly. ''WHAT UTTER, INSANE TRASH! HAHAHAHA!''
Aizen just smiles at his laughter as Barragan questions this insanity he just heard. ''Change the cycle of the world? I am unfit to be a God? Replace the Soul King?! What nonsense! Utter crazy! I just have to end your delusional with your death!''
Inhaling deeply as his death mist is shown, Barragan declares. ''Turn to dust, Respira!'' He exhales and releases the death mist upon Aizen who floats there, still smiling as he's covered instantly.
Barragan begins laughing, overconfident that he has finally put that worm in his place. As he expected, his Respira can delete even-
''Was that it?'' Barragan gasps in horror as his mist is blown away, dissolving into nothing, by Aizen who remains unharmed and unchanged. The man smiles calmly as his Spiritual Pressure crushes and cracks Barragan across his whole body like a psychic grip.
''AWW!'' He screams in agony, terrified more than the first time they fought as his body is literally being squeezed like a snake is coiling around him.
''Your Respira is mighty, if not the most dangerous ability I've ever seen…'' Aizen admits, respecting Barragan's ability but just smirks unfazed by it due to his mass Spiritual Energy. ''But it is meaningless against me.''
Gasping literal blood from his skeleton mouth, Barragan loses all impatience as his Spiritual Energy erupts and frees himself.
''AIZEN!'' He howls furiously, throwing his weapon at full force towards him. Aizen doesn't bother guarding as his sheer Spiritual Pressure shrinks down only 10 inches from him and upon reaching that amount, the battle-axe shatters into pieces. However, this was distracted as swirls of Barragan's blood formed around his skeleton hands, manifesting a dark purple sphere.
''GRAN REY CERO!'' Barragan howls, firing the enhanced Cero right at him and moving at insane speed. Aizen, without chanting or uttering its name, raises his left hand and fires Hado #31: Shakkaho to counter Barragan empowered Cero with similar speed. The two spheres connect and explode, erupting as a massive pillar of red and purple energy. Barragan is stunned as Aizen suddenly appears before him with Shunpo, smiling.
''I-impossible…'' Trembling as cracks are shown across his skeleton body, Barragan cannot believe this. Was this all an illusion? No, he never used his sword. But then is he that much stronger?
''It's not about your lifespan that you should have worried about.'' Aizen begins to tell him with the same smile across his face as his sharp, small pupils stare at the frightened Hollow as if he was piercing through his very sword. ''It's about your prideful arrogance that would cost your life.''
Raising that same left hand's index finger, purple swirls gather within that single second; Aizen cast 35% of Hado #90: Kurohitsugi. The black coffin box encases Barragan instantly and just like it appeared, it vanishes and reveals the torn pieces of the 2nd Espada as his remains begin to dissolve.
''Goodbye, King of Hueco Mundo.'' Aizen proclaims, watching his crown hit the ground and dissolves into ashes. He soon smirks, turning around to Yugi's battle against Tosen. ''For now…'' As he touches his chest, none aware of the hidden power slowly becoming one with him.
The end of a king as the battle continues raging on. Who will the next Espada fall?

Mew Ichigo and her group engaged their enemies on their end. With Alicia engaging Selvaria once more after a long time and the other fighting the Tres Bestias, the brave magical cat girl fights the 3rd Espada alone. Believing in the connection that they forged, Ichigo prepared to fight her to make her see reason. Will her heart reach her hole or will someone else interfere and ruin it?

Jenny: Pretty sure Ichigo-kun just wants to reach out to the one Espada who kept her safe. I can't blame her.

Author's Note: Yugi vs Tosen Round 2 is interesting as you may know; his end is coming so we might as well have our kind hearted protagonist reach some sense to him. Maybe… learn why Tosen is obsessed with his justice. And hmm, Yugi might not like Justice hmm?
You guys knew I had to do Pre-Kage Summit Taka MS Sasuke vs Pre-Pain Invasion Sage Naruto (both who are clearly stronger than their main canon selves) and this was fun to do. Wish I could have done more but time and more fights to cover.
I feel like Shadow sparing Barragan was a bit of Yugi's influence getting to him and the other was his confrontation with Ulquiorra. It wasn't him being out of character but Shadow not wanting that immortal life versus Barragan's wanting eternal life to escape death. And the only reason Barragan acknowledged Shadow was like other than Aizen (and Ulquiorra); who could resist his Respira? Shadow got him to respect him and Shadow can respect his power of death. They're enemies but they don't have to if one of them is pulling all the strings. That touch was perfect.
If you guys know Vineman, which I assume you know, you would know his Blast Alchemist. He doesn't have a huge role unlike in Vineman's work but just enough to provide some help.
Oh yea, Zero. Um… Here's him done right and prelude before he becomes Infinite. Eggman is watching them and knows the Phantom Ruby from the past (let's pretend Sonic Mania and all of the 2D Sonic adventures are still part of the timeline). I had the idea of Zero killing Barragan since the Phantom Ruby's powers are technically ageless too due to it being "non-existed". Again, this is better than how Forces handled him.
RIP Barragan, he shall be missed… So I wanted him to die by Aizen's hands. More ironic than his last strength to attack Aizen and backfired. Plus, a bit more hint of mystery on the last part. You guys could guess. Hint is Brave Soul.
