Opening 1: "The Day" by Porno Graffiti
Izuku's eyes are shining wide as stars flow around him, glimpsing ahead at All Might, whose back is turned with fists on hips. Izuku extends his hand out to the grinning All Might, who starts turning his head toward the teen.
As his cloak flows in the wind, Fox Fox(Naruto) smiles with his back turned before Boruto jumps out and towards the screen, with a grin, and punches at it.
The students of Class-1A are now shown in their Hero costumes: Ochaco, Sumire, Tenya, Sarada, Shikadai, Katsuki, Mitsuki, Asui, Eijiro, Iawabe, Metal, Minoru, Momo, Chocho, Kaminari, Kameko, Inojin, Kyoka, Hanta, Fumikage, Yuga, Mashiro, Mina, Rikido, Mezo, Koji, Toru, and Shoto.
In the night, Izuku looks up at the raining sky before looking down with a low expression before walking on. Next, it shows Boruto running on the sidewalk while it rains, but pauses and looks down, before looking back up at the night sky again.
With her back turned, Sumire looks down sadly while in her hero costume, before it transitions to the culprit of the ghost incidents in a white horned mask before the culprit fires a dark pulse from its right hand at the screen.
Next shows the beast, Nue's attack in the middle of Japan while a group of Pro heroes(Naruto, All Might, Kakashi, Kamui Woods, Sai, Rock Lee, and Snipe) arrives standing on buildings before jumping to engage the beast. Naruto lands a Rasengan on the beast's face, Kakashi uses Purple lightning to slice one of the beast's arm off, while All Might makes a shockwave with his Detroit smash.
Izuku and Boruto dash and jump into the air in their school uniforms before a few Class 1A students also join in through the sky while in their Hero costumes: Ochaco [puts her fingers together, Shikadai [Puts his hand-signs together, Sarada [Activates her red tomoe eyes, Lida [does a swift kick, Misuki [extends his long arms out, Minoru [cries dramatically, Asui [catches minoru with her frog tongue, Chocho [expands her giant hand, Metal [does a round kick, Inojin [Flies on his paint made bird, Shoto [surfs on ice, Iawabe [smashes down his earth hammer, Eijiro [Hardens his whole body, and Katsuki [doing a small explosion while raring to go].
Izuku and Boruto morph into their hero costumes before charging a forward punch at the same time before showing the rest of the class and also doing their own small attacks.
It ends with All Might, Naruto[Fire Fox, and the rest of Class 1-A in front of the U.A. School building.
Chapter 20: Sumire Kakei(Origin)
In another Dimension:
"AAAAHHHH!" Boruto continues falling in this unknown dimension and eventually lands into some tangled roots, which he gets out of.
"Where is this place?" He sight sees the area, which contains of several swamps with trees that look like mangroves. He spots something above, with his right-eye activated, "Is that... what I saw before?" He sees purple aura that's floating in the air and leading to a large hollow bound trunk.
By the time he makes his way to the den, "!" Nue suddenly comes out from underground and raises it's paw to sweep down to attack, but luckily, whiskered teen dodged it by jumping back to gain distance and glares back at the beast, "So you finally showed yourself!" He asks this, "Did you really eat her? Where did you put Sumire?!"
The beast only growls in reply before immediately going on the offensive by launching it's tail down at the boy, which he dodges to the side before summoning 5 shadow clones and proceed to launch an all out attack against the beast from all sides. As the they engage in a quick fight, Nue slashes one clone with it's paw and bites the other with it's tail, making them puff in smoke. The real Boruto dashes underneath Nue and slides behind it before jumping above it while surging electricity with his right hand, "LIGHTNING BOLT!" He throws down on the beast's head, which lands a direct shock that makes the beast stumble in pain, however, it's tail smacks him and the remaining clones(making them puff in smoke), "Gah!" making the real one crash into a tree, hitting hard.
After Nue recovers and the smoke clears, Boruto stumbles up with a few damage done to him, but is holding out fine, "I'm not gonna lose..." He slowly declares, "You'll pay for what you did to her." His right eye glows up and sees the red core in the back of the Nue's tail, "What's that?" He wonders, thinking that might be it's weak spot, but he isn't paying attention as the beast charges straight at him while roaring.
"SMMAASSHH!" Izuku finger slicks a shockwave directly to Nue's head and sends him bouncing back. Mitsuki uses extends his arms to bring Boruto up to the large rope that they're standing on.
"Boruto, are you alright?" Izuku asks in concern, despite wincing in a little pain at his now broken finger.
"Yeah, somewhat." He replies.
"Why were you standing there all dazed?" Mitsuki asked, "How can you talk about getting revenge for Sumire when she's not even dead?" He glares down at the beast getting up, "That thing is obviously doing as she commands."
"So that means she's alive then?" Izuku asks, feeling relieved.
"Thank goodness..." Boruto's definitely relieved by that as well.
"Are you guys still trying to defend?" Mitsuki asks, not getting why they're still on about that.
"Are you still trying to kill her?" Boruto remarks.
"Not now guys." Izuku stops the argument, pointing at the beast, "We have to do something about that thing."
"I agree." Mitsuki nods.
"ROOOAAARRR!" Nue jumps at them to attack, which they dodge and jump to the ground before running away as the beast lands and gives chase after them.
"Although it's smaller than when it first appear in the city, it'll be lights out for us if we get hit by that thing." Mitsuki warns as they continue running.
"Mitsuki! Can you stall him?" Boruto asks, thinking of a plan.
"I'll try to." He complies before turning to attack the monster.
"What are you up to?" Izuku asks, curious while holding his broken middle finger on his right hand.
"I know where to attack him, I've found his weak spot." Boruto replies as they keep running, "Mitsuki and I take care of this, you stay back."
"Huh? Why?" The freckled teen asks, confused
"You still haven't mastered your quirk yet, so I don't want you breaking anymore fingers." He replies, knowing the drawbacks of the one for all quirk, "I'll end this in one go!" He forms 3 clones before dashing on ahead, leaving Izuku to to stop where he is near the tree root.
"Okay..." He mutters, part of him wishing he was of help, but with his fingers getting broken after every attack with his one for all quirk, it might be best to stay back for now.
"WIND BREAKTHROUGH!" Mitsuki inhales and blows from his mouth, firing a gust of wind that hits Nue and knocks it on it's back.
Boruto and his 3 clones run up on each of the large ropes, the real one sees that Nue's back tail is in range and counts on his clones to break off the large ropes with lightning bolts. The real one signals, "Mitsuki!"
The latter moves out the way as Boruto dives down with lightning around his hand but this time, he turns it to a jab position, "Lightning Jab!" He makes up the name and strikes his attack into the beast skin, hitting the weak spot in his tail. At the same time, his clones use their lightning quirks as well to set off the ropes to fall upon Nue.
"Watch out!" Izuku calls out to the real one.
"Not good!" Boruto sees the ropes coming down and quickly jumps off Nue to avoid them as they crash onto the beast.
"ROOAAR!" The creature is now trapped and tangled, unable to move as the smoke clears.
"We did it..." Boruto stumbles up, rubbing his cheek.
"Way to go, guys." Izuku runs up and joins them.
Mitsuki steps up and comments, "You're eye is truly amazing, huh. Even being able to spot his vulnerable spot." He raises his right arm forward, "I'll finish this..." He begins his electric quirk attack, "Snake Lightning!" He releases the snake bolt to deal the final blow Nue, but suddenly from the ground, a water wall raises in front of Nue and intercepts the attack, canceling it out as it rains water showers with lighting currents.
As that clears, "I won't let you kill Nue!" Sumire declares, grabbing the boy's attentions, and Boruto sees the purple aura around her with his right glowed up.
"Sumire!" Izuku utters.
"I raised this child the the ultimate weapon that I raised for the sake of revenge." She states out, seriously.
They go on top of the hollow bound trunk to where she is, and Mitsuki asks this, "I'm guessing this means... that you won't be coming back with us willingly?"
She turns to them and when Mitsuki gets ready to engage, Izuku puts a hand in front of him to calm down, "We're not here to fight, Sumire."
"Right... so can we please just go back together?" Boruto asks, in a plea to stop this.
"How can you guys be so easy going about this despite everything I did so far?" Sumire asks, confused and doesn't get what they're doing.
"Because, you're still our friend..." Izuku replies to that, being honest, "Whatever your parents did in the past has nothing to do with you."
"You're wrong! This is my war as well." She argues in frustration, "I was taught to carry out my father's king cherished hope and carry out my master's orders." This is when she reveals her backstory about her father working tirelessly for the hero society until he was treated like a criminal by everyone, which forced him and her mother because they were from the foundation.
After hearing this, Boruto reasons, "But all that's got nothing to do with you now, Sumire!"
"Me? Yes, perhaps it doesn't." She smirks at that thought, before saying otherwise, "After all, Sumire Kakei never existed from the beginning!" She states out, surprising them before she continues, with a sad-serious expression, "For as long as I remembered, I've lived in isolation... and always kept to myself." She recalls that her moment of peace was with her mother, who use to comb her hair all the time. Until she died of an illness from all the fear and anxiety of hiding. From that point, "My father raised me as a weapon to seek out vengeance against this society of heroes." She further says, "I can't even remember my mother's voice anymore."
Flashback:
In a dark laboratory, a small Sumire is placed in the middle of lighted candles with a towel over her chest and her back exposed while her father, Tanuki hoea, appears behind her with what appears to be cores of life support behind him, "This society of heroes understood nothing and only fight to protect a cowardly system. On top of that, they rejected and ignored our very existence!" He starts charging some power into both of his hands, "Sumire, this is one of the hidden quirks that lord Danzo experimented on." He encases heat to his right hand before touching her back which steams from the hand and her gasp up in feeling a little pain, "You will enter into a contract with Nue and become the beacon of revolution." The sealing of ritual is almost complete as he utters in this being his last words, "My long cherished wish is near..." He falls and hits the ground, now dead as the Gozu Tennou forms itself on Sumire's back."
"After that, I was left as an orphan and I was forced to wander around from place to place as no one would help me... not even a hero." Sumire continues explaining her past to the boys, with a sad frustrated expression, "That's when, 'he' came and took me under his wing..."
"Who?" Izuku asks.
Sumire closes then opens her eyes, "My master."
Flashback:
She's sitting under a tree with her head buried in her knees, looking exhausted and dirtied up. That's when a man of a gigantic stature with short white hair, and luminous red eyes and a dark suit while having a black hat appears in front of her, which she unburies her face and looks up at the tall figure.
"My, my. Heroes these days don't know what their purposes are nowadays." The man speaks in a calmly manner, "Always leaving children to fend for themselves without a single of care." He kneels on one knee and offers her a hand, much to her surprise, "Allow me to take you under my care, little one."
"..." The small sumire looked at him with wide open eyes "Mm..." She eventually accepts and takes his hand as she stands up, allowing herself to be in the care of this mysterious man.
At his house:
After the doctor checks out the seal on Sumire's back, the man identifies, "The Gozu Tennou on your back holds a high value and with that, it allows you to drain the energy contained in quirks, even those that are chakra related."
"So that's... what it can do?" She asks, meekly.
"Yes." He replies, and adds something else in notice, "I sensed that you want to use it for a certain objective, it was all in your eyes when I picked you up." He smiles, "What do you wish to do?"
"..." Sumire forms a little serious look, "I wish to carry out what my late father wanted to do... to destroy the hero society for abandoning us."
The man smiles and likes her determination, "That's a good answer. Always stick close to how you truly feel and carry out those goals to the end, even if it means deceiving others."
"Really? I can do that?" She asks.
"Of course, I sense you'll do a fabulous perform in going undercover." He replies, "From here on, you'll be a double agent of mine to deceive others to get what we need." He renames her now, "You're no longer Sumire hoea... you're now Sumire Shigaraki."
"Shigaraki?" She asks, confused.
"My last name." He points to himself with a grin. Form there on, she continued going as a double agent many times to cause the incidents known as the ghost incidents that have led up to now.
Present:
"I was raised as weapon... both by father and master." Sumire declares to the three.
Boruto sees the purple aura looming over her with his right-glowed eye and while not paying attention, she prepares to fire a large water bullet from her right finger.
"Watch out!" Mitsuki punches Boruto and Izuku on opposite sides before jumping out the way himself to dodge the bullet, and while in mid-air, he prepares his attack, "Wind Scythe!" He waves off a barrage of wind slashes and Sumire dodges 5 of them with backflip, but when the last one hits her, it splashers to a clone.
"Water clone?!" Mitsuki thought, taken back a little, before a water bullet is shot through his head, however, he does a snake clone as well and appears in the air behind her.
She throws a back punch, which he counters by blocking it with his left arm before they land on the ground. She forms a knife made of dark-purple aura while Mitsuki turns his nails to claws before they clash with them, "I won't let you have Nue!" She throws a right hook, but the snake-like teen slithers behind her and restrains by her left arm.
"Oh no, he's not needed anymore!" He remarks, before she kicks him off of her.
Boruto can see the dark-purple aura enhancing her with his right eye as they keep fighting.
"Water Spirit wave!" She points in a gun position launches multiple bullets of water, which Mitsuki evades them all.
"Actually, you're the one I really want!" He reveals while smirking and side-steps another bullet before forming a serpent from his sleeve to attack.
"!" She gasps and quickly forms a dark-aura serpent to counter his. The collision of both serpents creates distance between then, which results in Sumire panting in exhaustion as Mitsuki is doing managing fine.
"The Gozu Tennou on your back is the only thing that's valuable." Mitsuki reveals, smirking with his long snake claws ready in the right hand, "And you don't have to be alive to get it." He dashes at at, which she does the same.
"They're really trying to kill each other... This needs to stop!" Izuku exclaims, unease-ness expression, knowing this isn't right. By the time he turns to his left, he sees boruto already rushing in to do something, "!"
After a collision between Wind Scythe and Water Bullets, Mitsuki and Sumire were about to clash with their snake claws/dark-aura knife until, "STOP IT!" He echoes and jumps between them, but ends up getting stabbed on the right shoulder by the purple-aura knife and drops to the ground while Mitsuki barely avoids him.
"BORUTO!" Izuku exclaims in shock/worry and runs to check on his friend.
"!" Sumire gasps at what she did, showing signs of concern.
Panting, Boruto slowly gets up with a hand out in front of Mitsuki, "I said... stop." He halts the fight and ends it, while holding his right shoulder, which bleeds a little, "What are you doing to your classmate?!"
"Classmate, you say? She was pretending to be our friend and betrayed every single one of us to get information." Mitsuki remarks, "Need I remind you that she's the reason the villains attack us at the USJ last week?"
"I know... but still!" Boruto glances to her, "Mina and the others told me how hard you tried to save them." He adds, "That shows that you truly care for your classmates."
"Is that really enough to trust her?" Mitsuki asks.
"Yeah, she's our classmate after all." He answers honestly, ignoring the pain on his shoulder.
"I agree..." Izuku smiles and glances to her in saying this, "When we were training in pairs the other day, you looked like you were having fun when you and Uraraka teamed up."
"!" Sumire begins feeling these words, stumbling back.
Mitsuki gets what they're doing and shakes his head, "These are some answers I wouldn't consider, I'll admit that." He smiles in addition, "However, when I visited her at the hospital the other day, Sumire said 'She wanted this to be over quickly.'. And she seemed serious about it."
Hearing this causes Sumire to stumble back in shock even more, knowing this to be true.
Boruto uses his right-glowing eye to see that the dark-purple aura around her is starting to waver, "The ghost... it's starting to fade away."
When she begins stumbling forward, "I think I figured it out." She looks up in a troubled expression as Boruto speaks, "The ghost possess those who are burdened with troubles. It's because Sumire herself, has harbored her troubles for so long and it was easier to latch to those mindsets. If your heart's affected in a big way than it disappears."
"Woah..." Izuku's surprised.
"Also, Sumire..." Boruto adds one more thing, "Before the battle trial when we were paired as a team, I asked you why you wanted to be a hero and you told me...
Flashback:
"Hey, Sumire..." Boruto asks, getting her attention before the battle trial test against Metal and Hanata, "Why do you want to be a hero?"
"Huh?" She's surprised by the question, but thinks about it and replies, "I want to help those who've been in the same situation as me... Being all alone and orphaned without any parents... they shouldn't have to go through all that and I'll try my hardest to save them from any sort of suffering."
"..." Boruto glances and replies with a smile, "That's a good goal to have. I'll support you on that." He nods and she smiles brightly."
Present:
"You told me all of that with a full smile on your face... and I can that you meant every word and seemed passionate about it." Boruto said, "You're not fooling anyone, Sumire."
"No... you're wrong!" She stumbles back and shakes her head in denial, "I'm a weapon to avenge my father and carry out my master's goals!" She then calls, "Nue!" The beast jumps on the hollow bound trunk next to her and growls at the trio.
"That thing again?!" Izuku exclaims.
"I knew it come back sooner or later." Mitsuki said, not surprised.
"This is an order!" Sumire gives the beast one last command, "Extract all the energy from my quirk... and then... explode!" She commands with hesitation, but the beast doesn't comply, which makes her shout in question, "What's the matter, Nue?! Hurry up and extract it."
However, the opposite happens as Nue begins to nuzzle on her all around, much to her surprise and confusion, "Nue? What are you doing?" She tries holding him back with her hands, "Why aren't you obeying my order?!"
The boys see this and are confused as well, "Huh? What's going on with it?" Izuku wonders.
"Yeah... I wonder." Mitsuki adds.
Boruto gets what's going on and speaks up as she tries holding him back, "Maybe... that thing thinks of you as his parent." He reveals, surprising them all, especially Sumire.
"A parent?" Izuku asks.
"Yeah..." Boruto confirms and continues, "Sumire, you may have raised that beast to act exactly as you order him to but he thinks you're his parent. And you're gonna turn him into a weapon?!"
"!" She wavers, looking at her pet sympathetically
"You've gone through your life suffering under the burden of your father and master's orders." Boruto said, "You're gonna do the same to Nue?!"
"He's right..." Izuku adds his saying in this, "You have the right to choose your own path and follow your dreams. You can still be a hero!"
"I..." She utters with tears forming.
"All of us can change... even Nue and you." Boruto then shouts her name, "SUMIRE!"
With that shout and the purple aura receding from her, the Gozu tennou on her back begins to crack all around before it shatters. Not off her back for good before she falls over in shock.
"The Gozu Tennou!" Mitsuki exclaims, seeing it's shattered to pieces.
This is when the dimension begins to fall apart and collapse as everything around them begins falling.
"W-What's happening?!" Izuku spots around, so do they.
"Probably... because the Gozu tennou is destroyed and the energy that has gathered here is running wild." Mitsuki explains in confirmation.
"Is that bad?" Boruto asks.
"Very bad, it's probably gonna cave-in at any minute." He replies, spotting around.
"Then we need to find a way out of this place!" Izuku knows it and before calling out, "Sumire, we need to go now!" However, she doesn't respond and only sits there with head down.
"What's the matter? Hey?!" Before Boruto could get to her, a crack beneath the hollow trunk separates them and he stumbles back to avoid it.
"We got to go!" Mitsuki grabs both of them and jumps elsewhere as they call her name out.
While everything is collapsing, Sumire is too guilty to move and continues crouching on the ground, with tears in her eyes in regret for everything she's done, "It was fun at U.A... training and studying with everyone..." She mutters, tears flowing down her eyes, "I never had so much fun in my life..." When she begins hearing her friends call her name in her head, she also begins to remember the voice of her mother.
Flashback:
"Sumire... this way of life will end with my generation." She said while combing her hair, "I'm sure your life will be in another place and I will always be praying for your happiness." She smiles to her daughter one last time."
Present:
"Mother!" She exclaims in surprise at finally remembering her before also glancing up to see the whiskered teen standing next to her, while Izuku kneels and puts a hand on her shoulder, "You guys... why?"
"It's because... you're our friend." Izuku smiles.
"And leaving a classmate behind is not an option." Boruto said, refusing to leave her before glancing down and smiles with his hand raised out, "Let's go back, sumire."
She wipes her tears and takes his hand in acceptance before the three of them hop on Nue and begin fleeing the collapsing dimension.
"Guys!" They see Mitsuki swingling with his stretched out arms from rope-to-rope catching up with them from above.
"Mitsuki, over here!" Izuku calls out, before the snake-like teen hops on Nue with them, during this, Mitsuki sees that words along can make the impossible possible, not quirks and see that Boruto, as well as Izuku, have that type of strength.
Moving on, Nue begins running on the large ropes and dodges a few rubble along with way and Boruto sees a purple exit up ahead with his right-glowing eye, "There's our way out! GO!"
Nue complies and hops on falling debris to get up there and hangs on to the edge in order to drop the kids off.
"Up ahead!" They begin running, but unstable energy appears from above them in form from the Gozu Tennou and it rains down on, but before it can reach, Nue gets in the way and shields them from the blast, protecting them and coming out unharmed with a roar. It sees that another blast is forming and jumps off to counter it.
"NUE!" Sumire calls out, but Boruto holds her back.
"We got to go!" He said before they do just that and head toward the exit.
"Which way?!" Izuku asks as they continue running.
Boruto sees an invisible portal that will lead them back to the real world, "Over there!" He points out and with a battle cry, he punches the portal open and it expands before they get caught it in.
On the cliff, the sun begins to rise and a portal begins to open in the sky and it leads to the 4 teens coming out of it and landing on the ground(Mitsuki lands on his feet, Izuku lands on his back, and Boruto lands on his front, with Sumire landing on his back like a cushion).
"Oww..." They groan and get up.
"Well, looks like we made it back safely." Mitsuki spots around.
"I know... finally." Izuku sighs.
At this time, Sai, Tsukuchi, and a 3 Anbu/Police forces show up and appear to them with the police lead asking, "What are you guys doing here at this hour?" Tsukuchi asks.
"Oh, er..." Izuku doesn't know how to reply to that and looks away.
"We went out a quirk jog, that's all." Boruto makes up the excuse, whiling grinning about it.
Sai sighs, knowing it's a lie, but lets it slide and reveal that they're really her for Sumire, who knows what's coming to her after everything that transpired
Needling beside her, Sai speaks, "I walked a path that was similar to yours." He reveals before offering, "Will you let me help you?"
"..." Sumire sees that he's really means it and complies, standing up with him and allowing herself to be turned in.
"Hey..." Boruto trails.
"It's fine. I'm going to talk with him for awhile." She assures, smiling after a long time.
"Okay..." Izuku understands.
"This incident was brought about by ghosts of the past." Sai said.
"Sumire will be safe with us, we'll guarantee it." Tsukuchi adds, with his hat in hand. Giving the three their word before they walk away, including the troops.
Just then, Boruto sees a purple-lined aura with his right eye and calls out, "Sumire!" She turns her back to him, "He's alive!" The blonde teen confirms.
"Alive? You mean..." Izuku trails, knowing it's Nue.
"Yeah, it's really faint..." Boruto continues, "But he's connected to your left hand." he tells her with smile.
She pulls her left glove off and sees small red eye, confirming it's Nue's. She's glad that he's alright and closes her hand to her chest in cherishing him close to her now, "Thank you." She bows to the boys before going with Sai and Tsukuchi to the police station.
"I'm so glad that everything is over." Izuku smiles in relief.
"Yep, all's well that ends well is the main thing." Boruto stretches his arms out and takes a breather.
"Oh look, it's already morning." Mitsuki notices the sun beginning to rise.
"Morning?!"The two exclaim dramatically.
"On top of that, I didn't follow my parent's wish." Mitsuki adds with smiling in not being bothered at all by it.
"Shoot, we gotta get back and change into our uniforms!" Izuku exclaims dramatically.
"Totally!" Boruto agrees, before the three individually head home for now, but on the other hand, glad that the Ghost incidents are wrapped up and done with.
After the cliff area is cleared, 2 villains appear from the trees, being Tomura and Kurogiri.
"From the looks of what happened, it seems..." The warp villain trails.
"She betrayed us...!" The pale villain sneers under his hand-mask and scratches his neck frustratingly, "After everything we done for her...!"
Flashback:
"Hey, master." Tomura(15 years old) walks into the room to find him and a small sumire there too, "Who's she?"
"Oh, Tomura. This is Sumire, I have also taken under care after finding her near the trees." The master said, "Starting today, she is your sister, Sumire Shigaraki."
"Sister?" Tomura mutters in question, and confused, "But I don't have anymore family..."
"I know. But at least think of her as a new one since you're old past is left behind." The man smiles.
"..." The pale villain glances to the girl.
"Um... nice to meet you... tomura?" Sumire(10 years old) tries extending a hand, but Tomura doesn't do the same with him, which confuses her.
"Oh, about the hand shaking part, Tomura's quirk decays anything upon touch, so that would be a bad idea." The man explains, which she understands.
Tomura only glances/stares to her, seeming to not think or care about giving this 'adopted sibling' thing a chance.
A couple hours later, when he walks around the streets in the rain, Sumire is walking behind him, which he stops and turns around to ask, "Why are you following me?"
"Because... telling my how you were acting earlier. It's like you're alone." She replies.
"Is that suppose to cheer me up or something? I could care less about having comfort." Tomura rejects.
"Well, I was in the same boat as you were until the master took me." Sumire said, "I never had any siblings and since we have the last name "Shigaraki." It means we're siblings now in a way."
"This doesn't mean we're related by blood." Tomura replies, "And like I said before, I don't have anymore family." He scratches his neck at having that thought, "And I don't need a sister, not now and not ever."
"..." Sumire's lowers her head.
"Besides, you seem way to meek to be a villain." Tomura said, "What are you even doing here?"
She takes a second and replies, "I am not look it... but my late father raised me as a weapon to get revenge on the hero society for abandoning the foundation."
"So... you're just following what that guy told you without having your own shred of conviction? Do what you want, but this doesn't change with our last names." Tomura said, sternly.
"It doesn't have to." She replies, not minding, "Let's just try being friends. I'm sure the master would need us to get along in some sort of way."
"..." Tomura thinks about it, but was a little surprised by the question, "I'll think about." but later on, begins getting use to having her around.
Present:
Seeing that Sumire willingly turned herself in and having betrayed them, "We were never related by blood anyway and I never saw her as a sister figure to begin with." He sneers and tells, "Kurogiri, we're going back."
"Yes, Tomura Shigaraki." He complies and opens a portal that sends them back to their hideout.
Several days later, Principle's Office:
Shota, Naruto, All Might, Shikamaru, Nezu, and Sai have a conversation regarding Sumire's actions while sitting down in chairs.
"So what happened to Sumire Kakei?" Shikamaru asks.
"She confessed everything, including her role at leading the villains to attack the USJ and causing the incidents." Sai said.
"All of that is unforgivable, but..." Shota adds another, "What made her stop at the last minute?"
"It was Uzumaki and Midoriya." Sai reveals, making Naruto and All Might perk in surprise to know that it was them who ended this, "To be more exact, it was her soft spot for her friends at U.A."
"I see..." All Might understands, "So basically, she was alone all and manipulated throughout her life and ever since coming here to U.A., she truly had fun making friends."
"That's all, huh?" Naruto narrows a brow.
"Not quite." Sai adds, "She experienced Nue's power firsthand, and maybe the terrifying thought of destroying the city that holds the memories of her friends, stopped her."
"When you put it like that, children can't choose their parents, but they can choose their friends." Naruto states, "I'm glad that she approved her admission into U.A."
"Yeah." All Might smiles.
"About that..." Shikamaru begins noting, "Letting here back in U.A. might cause some strain."
"I'll have to agree with Shikamaru." Nezu nods, "This still doesn't excuse the disturbances that she caused. Due to protective surveillance, there's a low possibility that she'll come back to U.A."
"..." Shota thinks for a second before offering this out, "I'd like to go and talk to her myself."
"Aizawa?" All Might's narrows.
"If she does come back, then I'll be watching her from now on." Shota promises, standing up from his chair, "After all, I am her homeroom teacher."
"I understand how you feel, but it really depends on if she wants to come back or not." Nezu said, "She is in a tough position right now."
"Yeah, understood." Shota nods before turning to leave out the door.
Police station:
In her cell, Sumire is there, sitting on her bed with her head lowered in regret for the crimes she committed and having put her classmates in danger.
This is when Shota walks in before closing the door behind him, getting her attention, "Mr. Aizawa..."
"..." Shota glances from beneath his bandaged face before speaking, "You seem to be holding up well in here."
"...Yes." She mutters, lowing her head in guilt again before saying, "Mr. Aizawa. I know what I did was unforgivable... I endangered everyone else and I'm the reason you almost died and why you're in that condition..." She sees the bandages around his face and arms, "I'll take responsibility and accept any punishment you give me." She adds, "I'll make amends, for the sake of everyone who considered me, a friend."
"Yeah, you guessed correctly, there will be consequences..." Shota confirms, which she understands, "However, I can reduce the punishment if you tell me what you really want to do from here on out."
"Huh?" She asks, confused.
Shota asks her and wants an honest answer, "Do you want to come back to U.A. and become a hero?"
"..." She thinks back to what she said to Boruto about her why she wants to be a hero and replies to Shota's question, "Yes. I want to become a hero who helps people." She answers honestly.
"See? Now you know what's really inside your heart." Shota said, satisfied with her answer before walking over to sit down next to her, "This answer became clear to you because you never gave up on what really motivated you to move forward." He adds, "Because sometimes, running away from your true feelings isn't going to do you any good."
"..." Sumire continues listening.
"Until now, you were manipulated into doing the biddings of whoever taught you." Shota continues and then states this in encouragement, "But now that the Gozu Tennou in your body is gone, you can start a new life at U.A. and make your own decisions in the hero course from here on out."
Sumire understands his words and mutters, "Mr. Aizawa..."
He gets up and walks to the door, "I'll wait outside whenever you're ready." He takes his leave, which leaves her to glance at her hair tie, which she clutches, indicating that she accepts her new life with U.A. and leaves to go outside to Shota.
1-A Classroom:
The class being energetic as usual(With Katsuki and Shoto sit in their chairs without a care in the world), while Boruto, Izuku, Mitsuki, Shikadai, Tenya, and Ochaco conversate on their end.
"It's been a week since the Ghost Incident cases were solved." Tenya said.
"Yeah, once the pro heroes took care of it, it was over from there." Shikadai adds.
"I wonder how Sumire is doing..." Ochaco wonders, a little concerned.
"From what we heard, considering she was the culprit behind the those incidents... it might be impossible for here to return to class." Tenya notes.
"No way..." She mutters.
"Don't worry, she'll return here to U.A. for sure." Boruto thumbs up in guaranteeing it.
"We don't know that for sure." Shikadai said.
"Not to mention, my dad was the person in charge of that recent investigation." Inojin walks over and joins them, getting their attentions.
"So Mr. Sai is your father?" Mitsuki asks, which the latter confirms.
"Worse case scenario, she might transfer to another school." Inojin notes his thought, "Because returning here would be a little tough for her."
"Maybe, but she's our classmate. Anything's possible." Izuku said, smiling.
"..." Boruto hopes Inojin's statement doesn't happen.
The class door opens, which makes everyone get to their seats before Shota walks in and looks to the whole class, "Alright everyone, before we get things underway." He reveals this, "We have someone returning to class."
"Huh? Who?" Eijiro asks.
"You'll see." Shota looks toward the door, and so does the rest of the class.
Outside the room, Sumire stands behind the wall with her back turned and head lowered in guilt while wearing her school uniform. She's too embarrassed to go see everyone, but it's was either now or never so she turns to the open door and walks inside to stand in front of everyone. She takes a small deep breath before forming a smile and greets, "I'm back, everybody!"
The room is silent for a couple seconds and Boruto was about to greet her until the class unexpectedly gave her a warm welcome back to class(Ochaco and Mina were happy to see her, as well Eijiro, Tenya, Iwabe, Sarada, Momo, and Tsuyu.).
She taken back a little by this before glancing over to Boruto and Izuku. The latter gives her a nod and smiles, while Boruto gives her a thumbs up and grins. Both glad she's been accepted back to Class 1-A. Moved by everyone welcoming her back and forgiving her, She tears up a little and smiles, happy to be back with her friends.
Ending 2 "I Keep Running" by MELOFLOAT
Opens with Class 1-A on a start line before they all begin to race each toward the USJ finish line.
Scene switch to the Class talking and have fun conversations in class. And then switches to them in hero costumes doing the practical training in the USJ while using their quirks.
Next, shows flashes of Tomura Shigaraki, Kurogiri, Shin Uchiha, and Kid Shin. We then switch back to the students racing, while Katsuki tries to dramatically get the best of Boruto and Izuku.
This is when the background turns dark, and footsteps are being walked, which is revealed to be Sumire, while looks down sadly before looking up with a not changed look of seriousness.
The scene changes to the battle against the beast, Nue, in another dimension. Boruto uses 5 shadow clones to attack launch an all out attack against the monster while using his wind and light quirks. Mitsuki dodges water bullet attacks from the Mastermind behind the Ghost Incidents before retaliating with 3 wind scythe. Izuku readies his fingers toward the beats before flicking a shockwave attack at it. Ina void of darkness is then turned to light as Sumire looks up to Boruto (with Izuku and Mitsuki by his sides) reaching for her hand, which she smiles slowly and accepts.
The scene goes back to Class 1-A racing, and the it ends up being crossed the protagonists(Izuku/Boruto) with Katsuki roaring at them as he dramatically came in 3rd place.
The sun shines outside U.A. as the wind blows refreshingly.
ENDING DONE
End of the day(11pm.)
On top of a building late at night, A man views the city from above while having a black cloak, a storm flap, a maroon cinch on the collar, and maroon lining. He has a long-sleeved shirt with light grey cuffs, and he wears a pair of brown leather belts with a black sheath for his sword and black boots. He turns to the arrival of Naruto and then All Might, "You're both late."
"You could have just dropped by the office at U.A. Sasuke." Naruto said.
"Well, long time no see." All Might greets with his signature grin, "You haven't been back here for a few weeks, even your agency haven't seen you for awhile."
"Like that's important." Sasuke changes the subject, "So where's the file?"
"Right here." Naruto hands it over, to which Sasuke opens it and sees the sign of the Gozu Tennou, "It's hard to believe that Danzo was this close to unlocking Kaguya's hidden quirk."
"So that's what it was?" Naruto asks.
"No wonder it was so rare." All Might said, arms crossed.
"But with this, I'll be close to the time-space where Kaguya existed." Sasuke reveals.
"Hold on, you're leaving already?" Naruto asks, "You just got here."
"You might want to see your daughter too. She's doing excellent in class." All Might adds.
"I see." Sasuke's replies, glad to here it, "Tell Sarada and Sakura that'll be out for a little longer and that I'm sorry." He states before jumping off the building and leaving.
"Off he goes, always rushed." All Might sighs.
"You can say that again." Naruto shakes his head, not surprised.
Villain's Hideout:
Tomura talks to his master through the computer about Sumire's betrayal and the Gozu Tennou destroyed.
"I see." The master understands, but doesn't appear to be mad, "So in the end, her attachment to U.A. has caused her to turn on us and the Gozu Tennou being gone was something I did not see coming."
"I'm not surprised in the slightest, I knew sending Sumire on that undercover mission was a mistake." Tomura sneers, "I'll kill her next time as a reward for this."
"Oh don't worry, she'll be dealt with in due time." The master replies, "But for now, we'll need to move to another location. I can guess that she told the heroes even our location." He adds, "Prepare to move to Kamino."
"Right." Tomura complies, so does Kurogiri before the master hangs up, "U.A., the hero society, and the symbol of peace are gonna pay!"
Elsewhere in outer-space:
The man in white hair(Toneri Otsutsuki), is on what seems to be the moon as he watches over the superhuman world with his eyes shut, "The gate that Nue opened has been sealed." He speaks, "The Jougan's turn won't be coming for awhile... temporarily."
A crack stars to form in the air, but he crushes it with his bare left hand, "In time, the gods will... descend upon this land."
Elsewhere, in a unidentified planet:
This world has a russet terrain and synchrotron radiation of a dying sun with multiple auroras. It's like a ruined metropolis brimming with corpses. On the stump of a tree, a white figure is sitting while eating what looks to be a fruit (He has pale skin and pale-blue hair which is in a long pony-tail and zig-zag pattern. He has white eyes with no eyebrows and one dot above each eye and his outfit is a white hunting robe, baggy pants, a pair of tengu-geta, and a black glove on his left hand, along with a transparent veil.)
"Hmm... Finally, a harvest that's adequate." He keeps munching on the fruit before a portal opens behind him, which a large-white figure comes out of (Has pale skin with short spiky blue-greyish hair, full beard, and a long horn above his left eye. Has large hands and a burly physique with towering height. His outfit is a pale blue shirt with back cuffs, grey pants, flat-upturned shoes, and a high collar with a grey sash wrapped around his waist.)
"How did it go?" He asks his large henchman.
"The space curvature I found near Kaguya's world exceeds 16." He informs.
"Oh? We were suppose to wait to harvest that world."
"Anything over ten in the space curvature is an abnormality and must be reported immediately to the clan. That is the law." The large one informs.
"That she's chosen to disobey, means... How very out of character." The first figure states at that being unusual, "Kinshiki. Make preparation to depart."
"Right, Lord Momoshiki." He complies.
This is when the Superhuman society(Both Heroes and Villains) were unaware that a big looming threat is coming there way sooner than they think down the line.
Phew! That finally ends the Ghost Incidents arc and the finale of Season 1.
Season 2 is where the fun begins, starting with the U.A. Sports Festival arc, which I'm gonna have a fun time writing out. As we know how All for One is like, the reason why he adopted Sumire will be told later, but for now, we've reached to where the hype intensifies, with the Otsutsuki Duo, Momoshiki and Kinshiki, making their debuts here as well.
As for the manga, I know that Yuga was revealed to be the traitor of U.A. and I've already figured out how to fit that in here as this goes on.
Next season is also where more Boruto characters are added to the story so expect some new content to be published.
