Opening 2 "Peace Sign" by Kenobi Yonezu
Opens to the U.A. Sports festival arena as the sun raises over the stadium. Looking down from arena side as the wind blows, Izuku and Boruto smirk/smile down at the middle of the battle ring, ready to face the Sports festival head on before turning and giving each other a high-five before the logo appears.
We first zoom through a few students of Class 1-A preparing for the sports festival in various places(Ochaco doing arm stretches. Sarada cracking her knuckles before punching the air in practice. Eijiro stretching downward while sitting against the wall. Tenya stretching back his left turbo leg. Sumire doing shoulder stretches. Iwabe swinging his earth hammer up and down. Katsuki stretching out his legs. Boruto doing squats with his arms out and forward. Izuku stretching with his arms bended back. Shoto doing arm circles and breaths of fresh air upon being finished.)
We then cut to the U.A. Sports festival arena where the battles take place with the main competitors unleashing their signature attacks: Boruto throws down a bolt of lighting. Izuku's finger-flick smash release a shockwave. Shoto releasing a wave of ice. Sarada comes from above with a punch that creates a small crater in the ground. Eijiro punches forward with his hardening quirk. Shikadai using shadow possession. Tenya dashing with his turbo engines activated. Mitsuki firing off snake lightning. Shinki attacking with a wave of Iron Sand with his arms crossed. Shinso turns with a glare. Iwabe smashes his earth weapon to the ground in using stone edge. Tokoyami releasing dark shadow to attack. Katsuki firing off explosions from both hands before attacking bare-handed. Tsubaki slashing the air with her sword covered in blue aura. Hoki launching an earth pillar. Tetsutesu punching forward with his steel quirk. Hatsume turns with grin and hands behind back.
Next shows Naruto, All Might, Present Mic, Midnight, and Shota(still covered in bandages) turning back to Class 1-A, who glare at them with determination as they're ready to give it their all during the Sports festival.
Last shot shows everyone in their costumes and jumping in the air, diving straight into battle.
Chapter 22: Aiming for the Top Spot
Once the end of class came around, as the 1-A students were about to leave, they found themselves blocked in the doorway by more than several students from different classes.
"Wh-What's going on?!" Ochaco exclaims.
"What business do you have with Class 1-A?" Tenya asks them.
"We can't get out with you all blocking the doorway..." Sumire mutters.
"What'd you come here for anyway? I won't let you hold us hostage!" Minoru exclaims dramatically.
"Hostage? That's a bit too stretched." Shikadai sweat-drops.
"Scouting out the class, idiots. And we survived the attack at the USJ." Katsuki bluntly walks forward with hands in pockets and demands to them at the doorway, "Now move it, extras!"
"That mouth of his..." Boruto sighs, shaking his head in being unsurprised in the slightest.
"You can't go around calling people extras because you don't know who they are!" Tenya exclaims, chopping his hands back/forth in the air frantically.
"So this is class 1-A?" A student(Hitoshi) with messy purple hair and tired out eyes steps through everyone and stands in front of 1-A, "I heard you guys were impressive, but you seem like a bunch of arrogant ass." He adds, "Is everyone in the hero course delusional? or just you?"
"Or you're just that jealous because we stood out more than all of you combined?" Boruto steps forward, with hands leaned behind his head.
"You too, Boruto?!" Izuku, Tenya, Ochaco, Sumire, and Minoru frantically exclaim in thought, him saying it bluntly as well.
"That's easy for you to say, since you're Fire fox's son and all..." Hitoshi replies, rubbing the back of his head.
"Who's son I am is irrelevant right now to be honest with ya." The blonde teen remarks, not caring at all.
"That right there is what I mean by a bunch of arrogant asses..." He points out his attitude, rubbing his head again.
"Alright then, if it bothers you and everyone else that much then try and beat us at the sports festival to prove that you're better than us." Boruto challenges.
"Did he have to say that?!" They thought frantically.
"..." The purple-haired student glances at him and states, "Egomaniacs after another." He he sighs, "I wanted to in the hero course, but like many others here I was forced to choose a different track, such as life." He continues as Katsuki scoffs, "I didn't cut it the first time around, but I earned a second chance." He then eyes them all, "If any of us do well at the sports festival, then teachers get to decide to transfer us to the hero course and they'll have to transfer people out to make room. And I'm just here to let you know that if you don't it your best then I'll steal your spot right from under you. " He eyes Boruto again, "What was it you said? 'Try and beat us at the sports festival to prove that you're better than us'? Well that's exactly what I'm gonna do so consider this a declaration of war." He says this to the whole Class-1A.
"Heh, now we're talkin." Boruto smirks.
After a few second stare-down, "Hey! Hey!" Another student walks up after getting through the crowd, "I'm from Class B next door! Just because you fought villains doesn't mean you can get full of yourselves!"
"Crap! Everyone hates our class now!" A few of 1A thought.
"Talk all you want! I'll just be more embarrassing when you're !" He keeps blabbering dramatically.
"That'll be enough, Tetsutesu." A student with dark spiky hair, small eyebrows, green eyes, and two red markings on his face, "What's the point of fighting it out here?"
"Who's Mr. Make-up here?" Katsuki asks, nicknaming him in a taunt.
"Shinki." Tetsutesu narrows and sees him in front of 1-A now.
"I know this guy..." Boruto recognizes Shinki, "He was at the recommendations exam."
"At least somebody isn't hating on our Class." Izuku, Ochaco and Tenya sigh in relief.
"However, since we're making declarations of war here, then allow me to say this to you all." Shinki eyes Boruto, Katsuki, and the rest of 1-A, "In my father's hero name, I will take the number 1 spot of the festival and defeat every last one of you, especially you." He glares to Boruto, who responds similar.
"Fine, you're on." Boruto accepts the challenge.
After Shinki and Hitoshi walk away in opposite directions, "You know I didn't need your help, whiskers." Katsuki said.
"They're gunning for all of us either way, so it didn't matter whether ya needed it or not." Boruto shrugs with his back over shoulder.
"Tch..." Katsuki simply scoffs and before taking his leave through the midst of students, declaring that he'll take the top spot.
"Everyone's in a good mood today, aren't they?" Chocho narrows a brow.
"You better believe it..." Kyoka mutters, agreeing on that.
"That guy's always going straight-forward." Iwabe said.
"Yeah... and the way he did that was simple and manly." Eijiro admits.
"I feel ya there." Iwabe admits.
"The top, huh? They're right about that one." Fumikage points out, "We need to best them."
"More like making pointless enemies!" Kaminari exclaims dramatically before saying, "That guy with the make-up is the adopted son of the Sand Kage Hero, Desert Sand!"
"WHAAAT?!" Minoru, Sero, Kameko, Mina, and Toru exclaim dramatically.
"He's also a student that got in through recommendations, just like me, Momo, Boruto, and Todoroki." Sarada reveals.
"Oh come on!" Which further makes the 5 shiver frantically.
"Yeah, Desert sand my uncle as well." Shikadai reveals with hands in pockets, furthering the frantic four.
"You said that with a straight face!" Minoru trembles dramatically,
"Then he's your adopted cousin!" Sero adds dramatically/frantic too.
"You could say that." Shikadai rubs his head.
"I had no idea." Fumikage admits.
"Surprising right?" He asks.
"With that surprising topic, Shinki's the same as you, Boruto." Tenya glances, "Since you're also the son of a Kage hero and he's the number 2 hero."
"I guess so..." Boruto kinda agrees.
"..." Shoto shoots off a glance at the blonde.
"That just puts us at even more of a huge disadvantage!" Minoru exclaims frantically.
"Geez, get over yourselves." Sarada sighs.
"I know right? A festival's coming up and you guys are acting like that?" Momo agrees, sweat-dropping.
"She's right, we gotta train hard and go plus Ultra!" Iwabe raises a fist.
"You said it!" Eijiro agrees, with some of the class following their lead.
Izuku lowers his head and thinks about his power control, which Boruto notices, but also thinks of something on his own, what it's for the Sports Festival.
"Please teach me how to do the Rasengan." Boruto pleas to Naruto at home, while the latter sits down drinking tea.
After sipping and putting his glass down, "The Rasengan, huh? Well, it was only a matter of time before you asked me that."
"The Sports Festival is two week from now and I need to get an early start and master that technique as soon as possible." Boruto said, determined.
Naruto's a little surprise, seeing a younger version of himself in Boruto and smiles before getting up, "Alright, you've convinced me. However, it's not gonna be easy as you think." he adds, "Then again, it only took me only three days to master the Rasengan."
"Then that was easy for you!" Boruto exclaims dramatically.
"Nah, I beg to differ, ya know. It may have took three days, but I had to train all day and all night to finally master it." Naruto replies after a chuckle, "Either way, I'm glad you're wanting to improve to the next level of being a hero."
"Yeah, I plan to make this attack my weapon when the competition arrives." Boruto nods.
"Heh, now we're talkin." Naruto grins, "We'll start tomorrow."
"Right!" Boruto replies.
Next Day(USJ Mountain Zone):
"Another water balloon? Seriously?!" Boruto finds this idea very dumb as he holds on in hand.
"Where'd all that enthusiasm go? Just do what I do." Naruto holds a balloon as well before using the chakra from his quirk to burst it.
After seeing that, Boruto tries doing it as well and bursts the balloon by using lightning, "I did it!"
"Wrong!" Naruto dramatically crosses his arms, "You used your lightning quirk to burst it." He further explains, "Use the chakra flow contained in your quirk and perceive it in order for it to burst."
"Damn, I wish there was a better way to do this." Boruto scoffs.
"It took the Yellow Flash, my dad, half a year to master this." Naruto takes out another water balloon and burst it again with his chakra flow as demonstration again, "It's a quirk attack that can be used to destroy mountains upon mastery." He adds, "As I said before, this won't be easy. This a weapon for the Sports Festival, right?"
"..." Boruto glances before replying in determination upon calming his frustration, "Yeah. Let's continue."
"Okay then." He continues the instructions.
After Naruto leaves to handle some business, Boruto would continuously try and burst the balloon with his chakra flow for the next 2 hours but to no success and it would always end up with him accidentally using lightning, this would go on a another day as he continuously tries. This is when on the 3rd day, while making pancakes for Himawari, he begins to have an idea about handling the rotation aspect of the Rasengan upon stirring the pancake batter and tests this theory in the afternoon with Naruto watching, where his chakra control finally bursts the ballon with both hands in a turn.
"I did it!" Boruto exclaims happily.
"Well done!" Naruto congratulates, "Now for the next step."
"A rubber ball now?!" Boruto exclaims dramatically at there being more steps than the warred balloon once, but has no choice and goes for the rubber ball training during the next 2 hours after Naruto leaves him to practice.
At 3pm, "Hey, Boruto!" His attention is turned to Izuku, who runs over to where he is in his P.E. outfit as well.
"Izuku, what's sup?" He greets.
"I think... I found a way to control One for All." The freckled teen replies, seeming very sure.
"Really?! What sort of idea did you come up with?" The blonde asks, curiously and surprisingly.
"Well... it's more like in a way that doesn't break my entire body." Izuku explains.
"Okay..." Boruto thinks of something with a finger to his chin, "Then it really depends on the sensation that you feel every time you use that attack. What was it called again... Smash, was it?"
"Yeah." Izuku nods.
"How do you feel when you use that power?" He asks.
Taking a deep breath, "It's like being in the microwave and the egg is about to explode." He says it out.
"Huh..." Boruto has a blank expression, "Dude, that has to be the lamest analogy I have ever heard."
"T-That was all I could think of when All Might asked!" Izuku stutters. "So... the idea is that when the power surges through my body, the egg explodes upon heating up-"
"In the Microwave." Boruto finishes off that statement, "I'm never gonna rock with that lamé analogy, but I get what you mean." He adds, making the freckled teen frown a little, "That starting to sound like a Chakra-type quirk if anything."
"A Chakra-type quirk? How?" Izuku ask, a surprised blink.
"Most kids with Chakra-quirks mold as much chakra as they need to perform a given ability." He gives a demonstration with a small burst of chakra aura and forming lightning on his left hand, "Age 3 is when Chakra-quirks start to manifest and it takes time build up into someone, and a lot of training. So by age 4, it when it's develop in different quirk elements." He changes from lightning to wind in his left palm, "Just like this."
"So it flows throughout your body..." Izuku thinks for a second with a finger to chin.
"Yep, just like how I can use Shadow Clones and how Sarada can use the Sharingan? We inherit those from our parents." Boruto's explains.
"I think I completely get it now." Izuku is sure after coming up with something.
"What?" The blond asks, narrowing a brow.
"Since Chakra is molded to perform an attack, I'll use One for All just like that, but I'll stand still in one spot and not move a muscle."
"Wait, hold on." Boruto halts him for a sec, "There's a possibility it might work, but worst case scenario, if you mess that up, then you're whole body would burst and that wouldn't be good!"
"I know, but it's the only idea I've got..." The freckled teen still insists on doing it.
"..." Boruto doesn't trust this in the slightest but, "Okay. Go for it."
Taking a deep breath, Izuku activates his given quirk and red markings surging through his veins, on top of that, his eyes and body started to glow with green electric aura as Boruto looks on in amazement, "Woah..."
Afterwards, Izuku powers down and let's everything go back to normal, "Phew..."
"Well? Do ya feel any different?" Boruto asks, curiously.
"That... actually worked!" Izuku replies with a smile, "This might be the first step to controlling One for All."
"Really? That's awesome!" The blonde is glad to here.
"That explanation was all I needed, thanks Boruto." Izuku said in gratitude.
"No problem, keep up that control from here." He replies with a grin before the best friends give a fist bump.
After Izuku heads off, Boruto begins to think about what he needs for his training with the Rasengan and how to break that rubber ball, "Hmm... He might have sparked an idea for me on how to develop the Rasengan even further."
After the next 3 days,"Huh... Huh..." Boruto pants as he continues training with the rubber ball at the USJ Mountain Zone and finally shows his progress after finally bursting it, "All right!" He grins at finally making this development and later on in the late afternoon, Naruto comes over and has him show what he did so far and after Boruto forms him "Rasengan." In spiraling wind.
"Uh..." Naruto has a blank expression, "That's a bit small."
"Huh?" Boruto asks.
"A Rasengan is normally bigger than that, like outside the palm of your hand." Naruto explains, "I can tell by looking, that it's not enough to be called a 'secret weapon'." He adds however, "But don't worry, because there's still a full week left before U.A. Sports Festival begins and also, I recommend strengthening your other quirks too. That might help with the expansion of your Rasengan.
"..." Boruto glances down in thought, with a small frown.
Now at 6:30pm, He again, tries to do the Rasengan again as it slowly forms, but it's still small the way it is, "Dang it...!" He throws the Rasengan in frustration and pants in exhaustion for a bit.
After a moment, *Crash* He perks up and looks to his left, seeing that the power behind his small Rasengan brought down a whole tree, "Wha..." He utters in surprise, processing what his attack did and forms another Rasengan in him palms and throws it toward the next tree, however, the spiraling ball vanishes for a moment, "Uh?" He's confused, seeing it just disappear out of nowhere in mid-air, until another impact landed on the tree and destroys it, tumbling it down, "Whoa...!" He slowly beams in amazement. He had no idea that his Rasengan could do this type of thing, vanishing before striking it's target, it would be enough to catch anyone off guard during the Sports Festival, "Heh heh, this is the secret weapon I've been waiting for. Just wait till Dad and the others witness this firsthand." He grins with a closed fist, going on to continue training for the next full week.
Meanwhile outside in the City on top of a building overnight, Mitsuki looks at the full moon as the wind blows while a snake is on his shoulder, communicating with his parenting through it, "I'm managing just fine." He speaks.
On the other line, in a laboratory, a man(Wearing a white robe tied at his waist by a dark-coloured sash and purple rope, blue pants/shirt.) checks with his son, "I see. That's great to hear." He adds, "Since the Sports Festival is coming, I know you've been keeping up with training. I recommend not using 'that' mode during the competition as you haven't mastered it yet, but that's entirely up to you." He smirks calmly.
"As they say... go Plus-Ultra and beyond." Mitsuki smiles.
From this point, everyone in Class 1-A has been training to the best of their abilities during these two weeks since they'll have no idea what events will be present at the Sports Festivals.
At the Ruins Zone, "CHA!" Sarada uses his enhance physical strength coated with Chakra aura to smash and bring down a fake building, she pants one time before smirking in success. Shikadai increases the range of his Shadow Possession and also learns to change the shape of his shadow into one tendril-like needle. Inojin focuses on drawing out larger and multiple beasts on his scroll for battle. With a roar, Iwabe smashes his hammer on the ground to create stone edges one after another. Sumire practices with Ochaco, Mina, and Yuga as she fires off water shots at the falling debris released by Ochaco's gravity quirk.
At the Conflagration Zone, Mitsuki calm smiles before jumping in the air and uses Wind Scythe and breakthrough to put out multiple fires.
At the Landslide zone, Chocho uses Human Boulder and rolls like a spiked-ball down the hill while smashing through a few brick wall s while exclaims 'Roll! Roll! Roll!'
In other locations, Metal is lifting weight bells and doing pull-ups in the workout room with Mezo and Toru, and sweats at keeping up the exercise while Kameko studies on his laptop in a focused manner.
In the Mountain zone, Boruto also increases the attack potency of his Lighting, Wind, and Shadow Clone quirks. The effort he's been putting into his Rasengan has the spiraling ball increase in size to a small degree, "HA!" He throws his Rasengan to the last part of the first small mountain, destroying it with great attack power and after various times at attempting to do it all the way, "Yeah!" He exclaims in delight at getting the hang of it before wiping the sweat on his head from the continuous training.
Ending 3 "Dakara, Hitori ja nai" By Little Glee Monster
Starts at daylight with flower petals falling from a tree in and Ochaco turning her hand into a fist as she, Sumire, Sarada, Tsuyu, Mina, Chocho, Toru, Kyoka, and Momo laying down on the beautiful grass with smiles of enjoyment and relaxation while conversating and looking up at the sky.
As the ending plays, the next shot shows the 1-A girls fighting off giants together in their hero costumes while having each others backs. Next shows them chilling out at the park, exhausted after a long day of training. Kyoka sitting on the bench with a hand to her forehead, Sumire on her knees and Mina laying down(Both sighing of fresh air), Ochaco bending down in catching her breath, Tsuyu and Toru bending over the trashcan(puking a little bit), Chocho sweating a lot after a bunch of running, Sarada leaning against the tree with her glasses off and hand over her eyes, and Momo standing up straight and take a few breathes.
Next shows them walking in the rain in their school uniforms while looking at the screen with medium expressions, before the sky changes from overcast rain to daylight. It then switches to the Class 1-A girls in their hero costumes once again in completing an obstacle course together while looking back at some of the Class 1-A Boys(Izuku, Boruto, Katsuki, Mitsuki, Tenya, and Shikadai) and Shota, who watch them from the starting line.
It moves on to the 1-A girls running home on the sidewalk, with Tenya, Boruto, Izuku, Minoru, Katsuki, Mitsuki, and Shikadai chasing behind them in keeping up. Last shot shows the girls smiling after having a great time with today's class while flower pedals bloom in the evening sky on their way home before the logo shows in the end."
ENDING DONE
Elsewhere:
A portal opens in the Ice Dimension, and Sasuke hops out of it and lands on the snowy ground before the portal closes behind him. Upon standing up, "This is one of Kaguya's dimensions." He sight-sees going forward, "It took me awhile to get over here."
What the Phatomaye Hero doesn't know is that Momoshiki and Kinshiki(carrying the latter on his right shoulder) are watching him from afar in the sky under the full moon, "What should we do, Lord Momoshiki?"
"I thought it would just be a fool's errand..." He trails, but smirks, "Well then, why don't we go and greet our visitor?"
The training chapter is done and the start of the U.A. Sports Festival begins next chapter, with some declarations of war from the other courses. The Otsutsuki Duo also begin to make their moves from here on out. Another thing to note, Boruto's Rasengan here is bigger to a short degree than what he showed the first time(very tiny) and this time, his medium sized Rasengan is small mountain lvl.(barely).
