Esuha City(Destroyed):
Due to the redirected tailed beast bomb, most of Esuha is in full ruins, with most, if not all the Pro heroes and Citizens down for the count. Killer Bee(still in Gyuki/8-Tails form), lays on the ground, unconscious with his mouth open.
"You're quite the daredevil, aren't you?" Momoshiki flies down to his face, "You took the full brunt of your own blast to avoid the entirety of this rubbish place from being destroyed completely... however, all of it wasn't saved and several or more vulgar creatures are incapacitated." This when proceeds to absorb the 8-Tailed Octopus's whole body into his right-palmed Rinnegan eye.
"We'll, that wasn't too hard." Urashiki flies up, along with Kinshiki.
"We wouldn't have had to go through this unnecessary trouble if Kaguya had just spared a divine tree in this region." Momoshiki scoffs.
"It seems that she had developed in attachment to someone on this planet and betrayed us. And even more than that, she bore his children." Urashiki explains in knowing, with his arms resting behind his fishing rod.
After absorbing the remains of Gyuki, Momo closes his palm, "What a disgrace to our clan."
"She was suppose to provide us with chakra from these quirks... and that explains why it never came." Kinshiki figures and theorizes.
"Yes... she betrayed us and feared our existence so much that she was creating living weapons against us." The fisherman smirks, "But ultimately, her children, the Six Paths hero: Hagaromo, and his brother, the Moon Hero: Homura, ended up sealing her away."
"Hmph." Momoshiki huffs, "Then they saved me the trouble of having to punish and dispose of her myself." He adds, "And I do have to commend the vulgar creatures for doing that."
"Yes." Kinshiki voices in agreement.
Opening his palm to reveal that he only stole three pills, the leading Otsutsuki isn't satisfied with this and asks the fisherman, "Is this all you have to offer?"
"Now, now. There's still two more Jinchuuriki's left. As for where they are..." Urashiki then reveals this, "There's this tournament held in Musutafu, something called, the U.A. Sports Festival." He adds on, "Both Fire Fox and Desert Sand are located there as we speak."
"That's where the mass of sentiment chakra quirks are, Lord Momoshiki." Kinshiki voices.
"Hm..." Momoshiki smirks, liking the sound of that, "Prepare to depart. Since it's just one place, we'll grab them in one feel swoop." He adds, something tells him he might have a fun time with this one, surprisingly.
Opening 2 "Peace Sign" by Kenobi Yo Nezu
Opens to the U.A. Sports festival arena as the sun raises over the stadium. Looking down from arena side as the wind blows, Izuku and Boruto smirk/smile down at the middle of the battle ring, ready to face the Sports festival head on before turning and giving each other a high-five before the logo appears.
We first zoom through a few students of Class 1-A preparing for the sports festival in various places(Ochaco doing arm stretches. Sarada cracking her knuckles before punching the air in practice. Eijiro stretching downward while sitting against the wall. Tenya stretching back his left turbo leg. Sumire doing shoulder stretches. Iwabe swinging his earth hammer up and down. Katsuki stretching out his legs. Boruto doing squats with his arms out and forward. Izuku stretching with his arms bended back. Shoto doing arm circles and breaths of fresh air upon being finished.)
We then cut to the U.A. Sports festival arena where the battles take place with the main competitors unleashing their signature attacks: Boruto throws down a bolt of lighting. Izuku's finger-flick smash release a shockwave. Shoto releasing a wave of ice. Sarada comes from above with a punch that creates a small crater in the ground. Eijiro punches forward with his hardening quirk. Shikadai using shadow possession. Tenya dashing with his turbo engines activated. Mitsuki firing off snake lightning. Shinki attacking with a wave of Iron Sand with his arms crossed. Shinso turns with a glare. Iwabe smashes his earth weapon to the ground in using stone edge. Tokoyami releasing dark shadow to attack. Katsuki firing off explosions from both hands before attacking bare-handed. Tsubaki slashing the air with her sword covered in blue aura. Hoki launching an earth pillar. Tetsutesu punching forward with his steel quirk. Hatsume turns with grin and hands behind back.
Next shows Naruto, All Might, Present Mic, Midnight, and Shota(still covered in bandages) turning back to Class 1-A, who glare at them with determination as they're ready to give it their all during the Sports festival.
Last shot shows everyone in their costumes and jumping in the air, diving straight into battle.
Chapter 30: Fourth Stage
While on the way to the cafeteria, Boruto stops where he is, "Hm?" He turns and catches wind of Shoto and Izuku walking off somewhere, out of everyone else's sight, "What are those two doing?" He wonders, curious and suspicious at the same time.
"What's sup, Uzumaki? Ya starting off into space." Kaminari notices, along with Mitsuki and Minoru.
"Oh... It's just, that I gotta go and take a leak real quick." Boruto makes up that lie out of his head, "I'll meet you guys back here." He immediately runs off, but reallywants to know what Todoroki and Midoriya are wondering off for so he's quick to follow.
In a hallway that leads to the outside, Izuku sweats a little in nervousness as he faces Shoto, who leans back against the wall with hands in his pockets.
"So... you brought me here... now what?" Izuku mutters in question.
"..." Shoto doesn't say anything yet and only deep gaze.
"We should probably eat soon... since the cafeteria is busy..." He tries some convincing, "Don't you think?" He asks, but Shoto still gives him the glare, making the freckled teen gulp in nervousness at his cold intimidation, and it was way different from Katsuki's fury intimidation.
Unbeknownst to them, Boruto is listening through the hallway facility door that they're standing 6 feet away from. He leans back against the wall inside, while listening through the door to ease in on their conversation, "..."
"I was overwhelmed..." Shoto begins talking, "And it made me break my promise I made to myself a long time ago." He adds to this, glancing at his left open hand, "You and Uzumaki, both made me use my left side... first during the Calvary and then flag battle."
Izuku perks up in surprise, skipping one beat, he couldn't tell whether this was a compliment or not, neither could Boruto, who continued to listen through the hallway-side door.
Furthering on, Shoto senses and theorizes that Izuku's power is similar to that of All Might's. He felt it during the cavalry battle, making Izuku go pale. Boruto hears this too and knows that this isn't good because Todoroki's gonna end up knowing the secret between Izuku and All Might.
"Midoriya, are you..." The half ice/hot quirk user asks, "All Might's secret love child or something?" This completely catches Izuku off-guard dramatically.
"Love child?! I guess this guy has some sense of humor." Boruto thought, also caught-off guard, but kinda finding this a little funny.
"Th-That's not it!" Izuku stammers, waving his hands nervously, "I mean, even if I was, I wouldn't say I wasn't, so I don't think you'd believe me. But I swear, it not like that..." He assures before asking Shoto why does he think of him that way, to which Shoto guesses that there's something between them that they can't talk about.
"This guy is catching on too fast..." Boruto said in thought while continuing to listen.
"My father is the flame hero, Endeavor, I'm sure you've heard of him." Shoto reveals to the one-for-all user, "Which means you're aware that he's the number four hero." He adds,
"Top ten worldwide just like Dad and All Might, obviously." Boruto thought, not surprised on the other hand since he knew Todoroki was Endeavor's kid since the Recommendations exam.
"Since I'm connected to the number 4 hero... and Uzumaki is connected to the number 2 hero, Fire fox." Shoto continues, "If you're connected to the number 1 hero, All might." He glares, "Then it gives me all the more reason to beat my you both."
With Izuku blinking in surprise, "Bring it on then, dude!" Boruto challenges on thought, not intimidated by him.
"I already defeated Uchiha, who's the number 3 hero, Phantomaye's daughter, during the flag battle." Shoto reveals surprising Midoriya and the hidden Uzumaki, "Back on topic, my old man is ambitious and aims for the top." He adds, "He made a name for himself as a hero using his power, but he was never able to best All Might, Fire Fox, or Phantomaye. He's still at it though, planning to take them down one way or another."
"What exactly is Todoroki getting at? This is kinda out of the blue..." Boruto thought.
Izuku wants to know what he's trying to say as well, to which Shoto asks, "You've heard of Quirk Marriages? Right?" He then adds that it became a problem for the second and third generation after superpowers appeared, choosing a spouse based only on strengthening your own quirk and passing it onto your children, which in turn, forced people into marriage.
"Here I though Quirk marriages were suppose to be illegal..." Boruto voice inwardly, "The way he's talking about his dad... makes it seem like he hates him." He figures it out.
Shoto continues that he won over his mom's relative and got ahold of her ice quirk, and tried to fulfill his own desires by raising him(Shoto) to be a hero to surpass All Might, Fire Fox, and Phantomaye, surprising the boys.
"It makes me sick..." Todoroki glares at the ground, "I won't become a tool or pawn for that scumbag." He adds, "In my memories, my mother is always crying..." He puts his left hand over his scarred left face, "I remember that she called my right side 'unbearable'... before she poured boiling water on my face."
"!" Izuku gasps in shock at hearing this terrible backstory.
"What?!" Boruto exclaims in thought, shocked, but mad to hear this. First, his dad is using his own son to fill out his selfish ambitions, and then his mother pour's boiling water on him, when he was a child at that, "That's just despicable!" He tightens his fist.
"I picked a fight with you guys to show him what I could do, No..." Shoto glares darkly, "I'll reject that bastard by winning first place without using his fire."
Unbeknownst to the three of them, Katsuki has been listening this whole time too, standing behind a wall from the corner with hands in pockets.
"This scares me... because the world he talks about to so different from the rest of us." Izuku thought, "We're striving for the same thing despite having different childhoods."
Now walking off to the outside, "You're obviously connected to All Might. Even if you won't tell me... but no matter how fast you come at me in the future, I will beat you and Uzumaki with my left side, I can assure you that."
After hearing that, "So this is why Todoroki had such a cold look back at the recommendations exam... and even now." Boruto looks down at the ground, now understanding why he's been acting this way, "He has such a tragic backstory that none of us can relate too..."
Izuku relates this to a main character in a comic book before walking behind Shoto, stopping the latter where he is. The freckled teen admits that he's been supported by others to have made it this far, one likes Uraraka, Inko, Mitsuki, Tsuyu, Minoru, Hatsume, Tokoyami, his master(All Might) and best friend(Boruto). While glance at his right palm, he states that he wants to be like All Might, but he has to be strong enough to reach that goal, and declares that he can't lose either as he owes it to everyone, "You declared war on me earlier, well right back at you." He states firmly, with a bold fist, "I am going to beat you!" It's a moment of a stare down between Izuku and Shoto as the wind blows, before the latter walks off.
Having heard their conversation end in a declaration, Boruto walks out of the staff room using the opposite door, while Katsuki also leaves and heads back to the cafeteria.
The steaks were rising between these 4 competitors, each of them vowing to when with everything they've got.
During Lunch break in the cafeteria, "Hey girls!" Mina greeted as she suddenly skipped over, putting an arm around Sumire, causing her to blink in surprise, "Excited to get into the next round?" she guessed with a smile.
"Y-Yeah." Sumire stammers, "We managed to get in despite losing the Flag game." she admitted, "I didn't think we did much during that round..."
"Well, that is true. Considering that even Hatsume got in without really doing anything," Chocho chimes in, eating a bag of potato chips as they wait in line.
"Though I didn't expect to see the competition be thinned out so little after the last game..." Kyoka admits.
"Me nether." Sarada chimes in, "There's only 30 of us left and I wonder what they got on store for us by the time we resume."
"Only one way to find out is when Miss Midnight announces what it is." Tsuyu said.
"Hey, Yaoyorozu, Uchiha." Denki's voice chimed in, getting the attentions of the girls as they turned to see him there alongside Minoru.
"What is it, Kaminari?" the Creation Quirk user asked.
"Uh, I'm not sure if you girls heard..." Minoru began, turning and pointing towards a group of cheerleaders skipping through the cafeteria, "but all the girls gotta where those uniforms for the big cheer battle this afternoon."
"HUHHHHHH?!" Kyoka exclaimed in surprise as her cable-like earlobes sprung up.
"You can't be serious!" Sarada exclaims, blushing in surprise at having to where those.
"That's funny, I didn't hear anything about that..." Momo admitted as she raised an eyebrow.
"Well, you don't have to believe me if you don't want to get in trouble..." Minoru sweats in nervous, knowing that he's blackmailing them into wearing those outfits for his own perverted mine and entertainment.
"Yep, we thought maybe that we'd remind you in case you'd forgotten." Denki nods with arms crossed in backing that up.
Marching through the hallway back to the cafeteria, processing Todoroki's backstory took some time. To be honest, Boruto can't help but sympathizes with Shoto a little bit. His own father, thinks of his as nothing more than a test subject to achieve what he couldn't and then getting boiled water poured on him purposely by his mother. All that was because of Endeavor and it's no wonder he rejected the idea of using his left side this entire tournament and had a scorned look until this point. But still, this wasn't gonna stop the young Uzumaki from going all-out to win. He's also striving for the top spot after-all. He has a serious expression as he thinks these thoughts.
As he makes his way around the corner-left of the hall, Sasuke Uchiha appears out in front of him, causing the blonde teen to stop in a blink of surprise, "Hold up, you're..." He utters, knowing who he is.."
"You must be Fire Fox's son." Sasuke figures, gazing down at the teen, "Your name?"
"Uh, Boruto... Uzumaki." He introduced a little hesitantly, but clears that up, "I know you. You're Phantomaye, the number 3 hero." He adds to this knowledge, "And also my dad's rival, who's at the same level as All Might... which means you're at that level too?"
"More or less." Sasuke replies, "You probably know my daughter, Sarada?"
"I do, she's in the same class with me." He replies, "We recently were on the same team for the flag battle and won it."
"I see. Well, congratulations." Sasuke gives him before walking on ahead passed him.
"Thanks..." Boruto trails, looking back at the black cloaked hero, "That was really unexpected... running into one of the top 5 heroes right off the bat." He smirks, with one small sweat on the side of his head.
In another part of the hallway, "Job well done on making it to the fourth round of the Sports festival." Gaara talks with Shinki, congratulating him for his accomplishment, "This upcoming game is sure to be more intricate than the last 3. Are you ready for it?"
"Yes." Shinki nods, "I swear to you that I will win and take first place without fail." He firmly declares, "Your name won't be dishonored, father."
"Just try to relax, Shinki." Gaara advises, "You really should be focusing on your rivals. They'll prove to be formidable."
"That won't be a problem." He responds, confident that he can do this.
"In any case, make sure to get some lunch." Gaara suggests, "Restore your energy for when things start back up."
"Yes sir." Shinki complied with a nod and walks along back to the cafeteria.
Before the Desert Sand hero leaves for the opposite direction, "Gaara." He hears a voice from his consciousness, belonging to a sandy-brown coloured tanuki that has a large one-tail with black cursed seal markings all over its face, body, and tail. It has a jagged, concave mouth with no tongue, and the sclerae of its eyes are black, with yellow irides and pupils that each takes the shape of a black four-pointed star with four black dots around it.
"What is it, Shukaku?" Gaara asks inside his consciousness, facing him, "I can a little distress in your voice. Meaning that something is important.
"That's because my connection with Eight Tails is cut off." Shukaku confirms, "Something happened."
"Is it only with the Eight tails?" Gaara asks for further answers.
"Yes. My connection with the other tailed Beast is fine, but I gotta a bad feeling about this..." Shukaku responds, voicing his concerns.
"..." Gaara isn't on board with the sound of that, which only means that a looming threat is around the corner that could potentially even come here to U.A., even the festival, and that wouldn't be good.
Back to in the arena:
With the stadium back to normal from the previous game, all the student participants are present as Present Mic announces, "NOW THAT LUNCH IS OVER, GET THOSE DAGGERS IN THE AIR BECAUSE IT'S TIME TO REVEAL THE LAST ROUND!" He speaks in the loudspeaker, even adding to those that didn't make can still participate in the side games.
This is when everyone blinks rapidly and in question when they see the girls of Class 1-A dressed up in cheerleading outfits, like they're going full on fan service mode.
"Uh..." Boruto trails, confused to why they're wearing those.
"Why are the girls dressed up cheerleaders?!" Ojiro covers his face with one hand, blushing a little.
"Beats me..." Iwabe looks away, blushing a tad bit.
Denki and Minoru give each other a thumbs up with perverted looks at the scheme they pulled off, which Sarada and Momo noticed from afar at the two pervs and the latter exclaims, "What! You tricked us?!"
"Just wait till I get my hands on the both of you!" Sarada exclaims in dramatic anger with a blush.
"Wearing this is... embarrassing..." Sumire has a large blush on the other hand.
"Ugh, I hate those guys!" Kyoka throws her fails down with a blasted look of anger.
"This is the last time we're falling for that little pervert's scheme!" Mina does the same thing, totally not alright with this.
"Hmm... these outfits aren't all that bad." Chocho checks herself out, seeming unbothered.
"Same, I do like these uniforms so... let's go with it!" Toru wobbles around enthusiastically, much to Kyoka and Sarada's chagrin, while Ochaco cheers up a dramatically depressed Momo.
"Wow Toru, you're quickly into this." Tsuyu said, seeing that unexpected.
"ALL RIGHT EVERYONE! LETS HAVE FUN COMPETING IN THE RECREATIONAL GAMES!" Present Mic exclaims out as the screen reveal the last round of the Sports Festival, which will take place after the sides games. The top 32 participants will duke it out in a tournament style, 1-vs-1, and whoever wins is guaranteed to be at the top of U.A.
After everyone draws a card from Midnight, she announces with a flop of her whip, "Base on the result of the drawing, this will be the bracket!" The crowd cheers as the matchups are set in stone on the screen and the participants gaze up to see who they'll be facing off against:
1st half:
Boruto Uzumaki vs Pony Tsunatori
Inojin Yamanaka vs Togaru Kamikiri
Tsuyu Asui vs Namida Suzumeno
Eijiro Kirishima vs Shinki
Hitoshi Shinso vs Izuku Midoriya

Everyone's thoughts on their foes:
"I'm already up for the first match and it's against Pony." Boruto glances at the board, smiling without a problem.
"Facing Uzumaki already?!" Pony exclaims in surprise, "This is gonna be tough..." She voices to herself, with a little doubt if she can pull it off.
"The first one I get to slice and dice." Togaru grins, raring to go.
"Don't know this Kamikiri guy... but it doesn't mean it'll be easy." Inojin voices to himself.
"..." Shinki gazes at the board, seeing that he'll face Kirishima and doesn't show a hint or worry or excitement.
The harden quirk user on the other hand, "Bring it on! This is my time to shine like a man!"
"This might be a balanced matchup." Tsuyu glances with a finger on cheek in wonder, seeing the Suzumeno as her opponent.
"Ah... I'm the fourth match? T-That's too soon!" Namida stammers in nervousness.
"Shinso..." Izuku mutters with a glance at the board.
"..." Hitsoshi only looks on with hands in pockets.
"Hmph." Tsubaki huffs, not intimated with her foe.
"I'm up against a pretty babe..." Kaminari blushes a little, but calms himself down as he's here to win, not play around.
"Todoroki already? Oh boy..." Sero mutters, but grins anyway at giving this a shot.
"..." Shoto only gazes at the screen without a word, also seeing that Midoriya and Uzumaki are in the same bracket side as he is, meaning he'll face one of his rivals sooner or later.
"Let's make this a fun fight." Mitsuki says to Momo, who nods.
"Okay, but I'm going all out to win!" She replies determinedly.
"Shiozaki? Who's that?" Chocho looks around, unaware that she just saw the the green haired girl a few feet away.
"..." Ibara glances to her, before back at the board.
"Give me all you got." Hoki says to Sarada in challenges.
"Just what I'm gonna do." She already knows.
"You're Iida, right?" Mei asks, walking up to him.
"Indeed, I am." Tenya replies, which she tells him her idea for their match afterward.
"Onikuma?" Shikadai narrows a brow at who that is.
"This guy doesn't seem all that motivated at all!" Enko exclaims in thought while gazing at Nara.
"Will there be any darkness that I can use in this match..." Shihai mutters lightly, seeing that he'll fight Iwabe in an open field with no darkness.
"I'll win this in one-shot!" Iwabe exclaims, full-on ready.
"I won't be holding back." Tokoyami tells to the metal quirk user.
"You better not cause I won't either!" Tetsutetsu exclaims in accepting the challenge.
"We're against each other!" Sumire exclaims to Mina in surprise.
"Unexpected, isn't it?!" Mina does the same as they gaze widely at the other.
"Huh, Uraraka? Who's that?" Katsuki asks in confusion even though she's right behind him.
"Huuuhhh?!" She's surprised at him being fully oblivious.
With the match-ups on full display, everyone was prepared to fight in whatever way they needed, psyching themselves up however they could and thinking of strategies. These are going to be some epic duels from here.
Ending 3 "Dakara, Hitori ja nai" By Little Glee Monster
Starts at daylight with flower petals falling from a tree in and Ochaco turning her hand into a fist as she, Sumire, Sarada, Tsuyu, Mina, Chocho, Toru, Kyoka, and Momo laying down on the beautiful grass with smiles of enjoyment and relaxation while conversating and looking up at the sky.
As the ending plays, the next shot shows the 1-A girls fighting off giants together in their hero costumes while having each others backs. Next shows them chilling out at the park, exhausted after a long day of training. Kyoka sitting on the bench with a hand to her forehead, Sumire on her knees and Mina laying down(Both sighing of fresh air), Ochaco bending down in catching her breath, Tsuyu and Toru bending over the trashcan(puking a little bit), Chocho sweating a lot after a bunch of running, Sarada leaning against the tree with her glasses off and hand over her eyes, and Momo standing up straight and take a few breathes.
Next shows them walking in the rain in their school uniforms while looking at the screen with medium expressions, before the sky changes from overcast rain to daylight. It then switches to the Class 1-A girls in their hero costumes once again in completing an obstacle course together while looking back at some of the Class 1-A Boys(Izuku, Boruto, Katsuki, Mitsuki, Tenya, and Shikadai) and Shota, who watch them from the starting line.
It moves on to the 1-A girls running home on the sidewalk, with Tenya, Boruto, Izuku, Minoru, Katsuki, Mitsuki, and Shikadai chasing behind them in keeping up. Last shot shows the girls smiling after having a great time with today's class while flower pedals bloom in the evening sky on their way home before the logo shows in the end.
The brackets are set and reveals who's up against who. The Otsutsuki Trio isn't finished with the hunt yet as they move to the Sports Festival next to get Naruto and Gaara. The plot intensifies from there as more major stuff will show this season.
