Opening 2 "Peace Sign" by Kenobi Yo Nezu
Opens to the U.A. Sports festival arena as the sun raises over the stadium. Looking down from arena side as the wind blows, Izuku and Boruto smirk/smile down at the middle of the battle ring, ready to face the Sports festival head on before turning and giving each other a high-five before the logo appears.
We first zoom through a few students of Class 1-A preparing for the sports festival in various places(Ochaco doing arm stretches. Sarada cracking her knuckles before punching the air in practice. Eijiro stretching downward while sitting against the wall. Tenya stretching back his left turbo leg. Sumire doing shoulder stretches. Iwabe swinging his earth hammer up and down. Katsuki stretching out his legs. Boruto doing squats with his arms out and forward. Izuku stretching with his arms bended back. Shoto doing arm circles and breaths of fresh air upon being finished.)
We then cut to the U.A. Sports festival arena where the battles take place with the main competitors unleashing their signature attacks: Boruto throws down a bolt of lighting. Izuku's finger-flick smash release a shockwave. Shoto releasing a wave of ice. Sarada comes from above with a punch that creates a small crater in the ground. Eijiro punches forward with his hardening quirk. Shikadai using shadow possession. Tenya dashing with his turbo engines activated. Mitsuki firing off snake lightning. Shinki attacking with a wave of Iron Sand with his arms crossed. Shinso turns with a glare. Iwabe smashes his earth weapon to the ground in using stone edge. Tokoyami releasing dark shadow to attack. Katsuki firing off explosions from both hands before attacking bare-handed. Tsubaki slashing the air with her sword covered in blue aura. Hoki launching an earth pillar. Tetsutesu punching forward with his steel quirk. Hatsume turns with grin and hands behind back.
Next shows Naruto, All Might, Present Mic, Midnight, and Shota(still covered in bandages) turning back to Class 1-A, who glare at them with determination as they're ready to give it their all during the Sports festival.
Last shot shows everyone in their costumes and jumping in the air, diving straight into battle.
Chapter 32: Challengers, Battle on!
The fight between Shinki and Eijiro starts with the latter going for a hardened strike to begin things off, "Brute strength right off the bat?" Shinki sounds unimpressed, "Not refined at all."
"Underestimating me will be your undoing!" Eijiro yells and appears to strike him, but instead, to his surprise, a shield of Iron sand appears from his gym clothing, blocking the hardened blow before another part of sand appears from his back, reforming into a fist that go to strike Kirishima, luckily, the latter managed to block it with both coated harms, but still ends up being driven back a little.
"Shit..." He scoffs, "I felt the impact a tad bit from that punch. Just what is his quirk made of?!"
"What type of quirk is that?" Sarada wonders in the section.
"If I remember correctly, Metal and Shoji had a hard time against this ability." Tokoyami recalls, arms crossed over chest.
"We did. It was a helpless situation." Mezo nods and admits.
"He has a chakra-type quirk and it's Iron sand, with such high-level density." Metal explains.
"In other words, it's like some sort of absolute defense..." Yaoyaorozu figures, "Kirishima's in for a tough battle..."
"RAAAH!" Eijiro continues on the offense, throwing back-to-back blows while maintaining and going all-out with his hardening, but it proves to be useless as Shinki's sand defense reminds unscathed.
"Your desperation is intriguing enough, but this where things end." The 1-B competitor forms sand arms form his back, with his arms crossed over his chest, and proceeds to turn the takes on Eijiro, who's forced to block everything, and struggles to maintain his hardening as he starts feeling these impact.
"YOWZA! SHINKI COUNTERS AGAIN, AND THIS TIME IT'S WORKING?!" Present Mic exclaims.
"GUH!" Eijiro holds his right side in pain, stumbling back.
"There's a limit to how much you can maintain that hardening." Shinki knows, having caught on to how his quirk works, "You tried ending the match quickly and kept your form going this whole time to avoid a drawn out match, but sadly that didn't go in your favor." He turns his floating sand into large iron black pebbles, "With your weakness exploited, it's over."
He proceeds to bombard Eijiro with Iron sand pellets and the harden quirk user grunts and feels the damaged, "It's... too much!" He struggles to extend the durability of his hardening and begins getting his blue sports outfit in large tatters.
As the finishing blow, Shinki forms a floating sand-fist that bashes and breaks through his rock-hard defense, "Ugh...!" Eijiro tumbles to the ground, defeated.
Looking down at his unconscious foe, "The moment you were overusing your quirk, the match was already decided." Shinki states, eyes closed as he recedes his sand.
"Kirishima is K.O'ed!" Midnight flops her flail, "Shinki goes to the second round!"
The crowd cheers as Shinki departs back through the tunnel after securing victory and while Eijiro
"Aw, that sucks. He lost..." Iwabe sigh, haven't seen that coming.
"Shinki had control of the match... and he didn't move from where he stood, not even once." Kameko noticed, finding that surprising and kinda amazed.
"What error did Kirishima do in that fight anyway..." Kaminari wonders.
"Isn't it obvious? He used his quick too much and focused on rushing the match instead giving himself time to recharge." Katsuki scoffs, hands in pockets while laying back.
"When you put it that way... maybe." Hanata said.
"Shinki infused his chakra into the iron sand, therefore manipulating it." Mitsuki explains, surprising the girls.
"That'll be tough to get though..." Shikadai murmurs, sweating a little.
"It sure will... and I'll be going against in the second round..." Tsuyu thought, wondering how this will play out, "One option of winning is all I can come up with... for now."
Ochaco notices Izuku not in his seat and asks, "Where did Deku go?"
"His match is up next against that guy from Gen studies who declared war on us." Boruto said and recalled, "So he's getting ready as we speak."
"What really catches me off guard is how'd he even get here over the others in the Hero Course?" Iwabe wondered aloud.
"That's what I'd like to know." Tenya nods, "Which we'll see during this match."
As Izuku and Hitoshi are on the arena to fight, "READY? BEGIN!" Present Mic yells via speaker.
"You know, before the flag battle, that monkey was going off about his pride earlier," Hitoshi noted to the One For All inheritor, getting his attention, "but I think he's an idiot for letting this chance go to waste...".
Jolting his eyes open, Izuku angrily grits his teeth at hearing this mockery of Ojiro and begins to spark with green electricity to use Full Cowling and one-shot this guy off the bat, "Shut up... DON'T YOU DARE TALK ABOUT-!" Izuku roars as he was about to lunge forward, but then, his eyes blanked out suddenly.
"That's it, I win." Hitoshi reveals with a menacing glare.
"AGH!" Mashirao groaned as he stood up from his seat, "I warned him not to say anything!"
"Huh?!" Ochaco utters in confusion.
"What do you mean by that?!" Boruto asks, turning to Ojiro.
The long-tailed student grimly explained, "I told Midoriya about what happened to me during the cavalry battle. Shinso approached me and he asked me a question, then the next thing I know it's the end of the battle. I have no memory of what happened after answering his question. Taking all of that into consideration, I told Midoriya that my guess was that Shinso has the ability to control peoples minds."
"In other words, it only happens when someone answers his question." Mitsuki figures out.
"Yeah..." Ojiro confirms.
They start grimacing in frustration as Hitoshi orders Izuku to walk out the ring, which the controlled freckle teen does and is slowly committing to it.
"Izuku, what are you doing?!" Boruto exclaims, shocked at seeing a blank look on his face that's unmoving.
"This is bad!" Sumire looks worriedly.
Lida's arms chop in the air frantically, "He can't walk out of the ring, he'll lose the match if he does!"
"Unless he does something about Shinso's quirk... this match is gonna be over before he realizes it." Sarada hates to point out.
"Deku..." Ochaco utters in worry at this situation.
"Come on Izuku! You're stronger than this, use that willpower and snap out of it!" Boruto grits on frustration, especially seeing that his best friend isn't that far off from stepping out of the ring.
Meanwhile, the One-for-all user was cursing himself for falling under Hitoshi's mind games. Even though Ojiro warned him beforehand, he was still about to lost the match. Telling himself that it's his fault, he doesn't want things to end here. Not for All Might, not for Boruto or his friends who had helped him grow stronger till this point.
As he wanted to move so desperately, all of a sudden, he saw faces in his mind. There were about eight of them, all staring with piercing white eyes. Energy suddenly surged through him as his left pointer and middle fingers twitched before flicking, unleashing a blast of air that blew through the field, causing Hitoshi to flinch from its force in shock all of a sudden.
Izuku gulps the air in a heartbeat as he catches himself before he reaches the line. The crowd goes wild as he finally broke out of the brainwashing.
"WHAT'S THIS?! MIDORIYA STOPPED JUST IN TIME!" Present Mic exclaims.
Class 1-A joins in the cheers as well(Aside from Mitsuki, Katsuki, and Shoto)
"That's what I'm talking about!" Boruto yells.
"That's the way to do it!" Iida says as he throws his fists into the air.
"Phew, that was too close for comfort!" Sumire puts a hand on her chest.
Uraraka sighs in relief as well, "Whoa, I was about to freak out!"
"Excellent work, Izuku..." Mitsuki smiles.
"Glad I was proven wrong about the match ending quick." Sarada grins, in relief though.
"You had a benefit of a doubt, huh..." Momo narrows a brow in surprise at her thinking that.
Izuku huffs more in relief as that move was impulsive and is lucky that it worked and sets his sights back at Hitoshi with a serious glare. The latter tried to get him to talk again, stating how blessed the one-for-all user is for having that quirk. Even though the freckled teen knows he's right, he stays silent this time and activates Full cowling, knocking him outside of the cement ring with a punch to Hitoshi's gut.
"Shinso is out of bounds!" Midnight flops her flail, "Midoriya moves on to the next round!"
As the crowd cheers, "He pulled it off in the nick of time." Boruto grins, proud of him.
"That was too nerve wracking..." Ochaco sighs.
"A second later and that would have been it..." Sumire adds, sighing on agreement.
"Turning the tables at the last moment, that's so like Midoriya." Tenya smiles, with one fist closed.
Kaminari nudges Bakugo saying, "He pulled that shoulder throw on you before hasn't he?"
"Shut your damn face sparky!" The latter exclaims, which Boruto snickers on the other hand without him noticing.
"That was a solid victory." Naruto comments on the match.
Sasuke noticed the way Izuku moved, with his fingers and his full cowling, "His power..." He thought inwardly, getting the feeling that it's sorta like the number 1 hero.
Naruto notices his expression and asks, "Something up?"
"No. It's nothing." He replies, still gazing at the ring.
Downward, Izuku asks why Hitoshi wanted to be a hero, which simply says that he can't help what his heart desires. And as his classmates cheered him on back in the stands, he vowed that he'd become a part of the Hero Course one day before taking his leave, leaving Izuku with a serious gaze and look forward to what's ahead later down the line.
"TO WELCOME OUR NEW COMPETITORS!" Present Mic hypes as Tsubaki and Kaminari are up, "FIRST, WE HAVE THE LOVELY SWORDSWOMAN FROM CLASS 1-B, TSUBAKI KUROGANE!" He adds, "VERSUS, THE BOY WITH THE ELECTRIC PERSONALITY! ALSO A HERO IN THE MAKING, DENKI KAMINARI!"
As they gaze at one another, Kaminari's inner love-struck to surface as he focuses on Tsubaki's cute looks, "Look at those big beautiful pink eyes... and it looks like she's really strong after what I heard before." He tries calming himself down, "Come on idiot! This is a competition..." He gazes at her again, "But... oh man she's so cute though, this is terrible. I'm gonna have to ask this girl out sometime." He then smirks, "Once I win this."
As Mic signals for their match to begin, "What do you say me and you go out after this?" Kaminari asks, playing around, "I'd be happy to treat you to a bite."
"..." Tsubaki simply glares at him, not caring for his antics as her thumb unsheathes the tip of her sword.
"It'd help comfort you after your lost." Kaminari grins and says way too confidently, "Cause this will be over in two seconds, honey!" He begins sparking with electricity from head to toe. He goes for the first blow, "Discriminate Shock... one point 3 million-!" Before he could finish his sentence, Tsubaki speed blitzes with her sword halfway out, "H-Huh?" Kaminari does get what just happen as he felt something just now.
"You're right." Tsubaki speaks with her usually calm expression of unconcern, "This would be over in 2 seconds." And just like that, Denki feels an invisible slash across his body.
"Guh...!" He felt that strike as his eyes begin to blank and go unconscious, even if the slash was bloodless.
After dropping the ground, "Cockiness was already your undoing. Shame you couldn't see it." She closes her eyes, unsurprised as she sheathes her blade.
"HE'S IMMEDIATETALLY STRUCK DOWN!" Mix exclaims, "THAT'S ALL FOLKS! IT WAS OVER IN AN INSTANT!"
"The winner is Kurogane! She advances onward!" Midnight flops her flail to her.
"She's fast..." Kyoka mutters.
"Kaminari didn't even get a chance to attack..." Kameko trails.
"After fighting her during the flag battle... I can't say that I'm surprised." Sarada thought inwardly.
"He's right!" Monoma brags, looking over the wall from 1-B's section, "That match was over in just two seconds and his cockiness got the better of him! I wonder if real quirk is the ability to tell the future!" He rants in a psychopathic way, "Wasn't Class 1-A suppose to be better than us! HAHAHA-!" Before he rants any further, Kendo chops him on the neck, knocking him out.
"Sorry about him." She apologizes for her classmate while looking over to them.
"I hate that guy." 1-A thought.
"Talk about serious issues." Shikadai sighs.
"Hey! Did I miss anything?" Izuku comes down to his saved seat after getting the rest of his classmate's attention.
"Hey, Deku!" Ochaco greets, who does the same.
"Aside from Kaminari losing to Kurogane? No, not really." Boruto replies.
"I see... so Kurogane's who I'm in facing round 2." Izuku mutters.
"She's fast on her feet and took out Kaminari instantly." Mitsuki warns, "I'd be careful."
"Right..." Izuku sweats a little at the sound of that.
"How are the fingers by the way?" Ochaco asks.
"Healing at a good pace thanks to Recovery girl." Izuku states.
"That's great to here." Sumire smiles before they turn to the next match.
"NO TIME TO LOSE! ON TO THE 7TH MATCH!" Mic hypes, "HE FLEXES AND STRETCHES OUT LIKE A SLITHERING SNAKE! FROM THE HERO COURSE, MITSUKI!" He announces, "VERSUS, ALL-PURPOSE CREATION! SHE WAS ADMITTED THROUGH RECOMMENDATIONS AND I THINK WE CAN ALL SEE WHY! ALSO FROM CLASS 1-A, MOMO YAOYAOROZU!"
As they're in the ring, Mitsuki appears with his usual calm/collected smile, while Momo sweats a little, uneased and unsure of this, but knows what Mitsuki can do, "I've see some of his fighting in action, he can extend his arms via his chakra and make quick and stealthy like a snake, in that case-"
"NOW, BEGIN!" Mic signals.
Momo isn't given the chance to finish her thoughts as a pair of extend arms from Mitsuki makes their way at her. Gasping, "Shield!" She quickly creates from her left-arm and blocked the first punch, but the impact makes Momo clench her teeth together, feeling herself slide back. As she recovers, she barely blocks his left extend fist, which she stands her ground this time and creates a metal pole from the palm of her right hand, slamming it against the ground to stop herself.
"Oh?" Mitsuki smirks, impressed.
"Now it's my turn to attack!" Momo dashes at him with her staff, going on the offense and tries consistently to strike, but the snake teen dodges and sidesteps each pole strike that she threw, with a calm and unconcerned smirk on his face.
"He won't stand still..!" Momo grunts in frustration until her pole is caught by Mitsuki's right hand, which he then forcefully disarms her and proceeds to attack her with her own staff, and she barely blocks it in time via shield, but staggers back, "Ugh...!" Once she let's her shield down, the snake teen uses both of his extended arms to wrap around her, hence tying his opponent up, "!" She gasps and before she could think to break free, she's thrown out of the ring and onto the field. The Creation Quirk user sat up and saw that she had been defeated, tensing up in frustration as her eyes shook.
"Yaoyaorozu is out of bounds!" Midnight flops her flail, "Mitsuki advances to the second round!"
Mitsuki gives her a simply wave before heading back through the tunnel to their classmates.
"I... didn't..." she started to whimper out, "I couldn't land a single hit on him..."
"Poor Momo..." Sarada sighs, "She must be really frustrated with how things turned out."
"Yeah, it felt like Mitsuki was taking it easy on her to avoid hurting her." Ojiro adds.
"Least we now know he has an ace up his sleeve as this progresses." Metal said, sure of it.
Izuku was muttering to himself while taking notes down on Mitsuki's flexibility, which is heard by almost everyone.
"Just take break and calm down..." Boruto sweat-drops, putting a hand on his shoulder to stop his low muttering.
The 8th match between Todoroki and Hanata immediately gets underway, with Sero throwing the first move by instantaneously wrapping Todoroki's torso in tape and yanks him through the air with surprising strength, However..."Apologies." Shoto gives off a widen scornful look, moving his feet on the ground and unleashes a frigid blast of ice that not only completely immobilizes Sero, but also washes all around the entire stadium, with half of the audience captured in it. Izuku, Boruto, Ochaco, Tenya, and Sumire exclaim in big surprise where they leaning back, now stood a big pillar of ice that nearly froze their faces off. The rookies from Class 1-A and 1-B were also stunned by this display of power. Even the quiet ones like Shinki, Katsuki, Mitsuki, Tsubaki, Shota, Sasuke, and Gaara, remain speechless.
"Oi... didn't he go a little overboard with this?" Naruto sweat-drops.
"..." Sasuke simply keeps looking, but notices that what Shoto did was intentional and he did it as if he was angry at something or someone and he knows that feeling all too well.
Half of Midnight's body was frozen. Including, much to her chagrin, her whip, which sours her mood. "Tell the truth Sero, can you move at all?"
His eyes snap to hers, stammering! "A-Are you kidding me? Obviously not, my body is freezing!"
"Sero has been immobilized! Todoroki advances to the next round!" Midnight announces, and surprisingly, no cheers were heard from the crowd due to the surprisingly display of ice power by Shoto.
"I knew he was powerful but this… this is insane!" Boruto says, now feeling anxious. Now he needs a whole new game plan to beat this guy.
As Shoto goes to free Hanata via melting the ice with a smal amount of his left side, Boruto notices that Izuku is watch Todoroki with a look of pity, "What's up pal?" He asks.
Informing him with a sad expression, "He looks very sad to me."
The Uzumaki doesn't get it at first, but then understands. Shoto's expressions thus far has been a look of pain and shame, and after overhearing the conversation between him and Midoriya about his terrible past? It's no surprise. Still, this wasn't gonna stop him from aiming for the top spot as he still's going all-out to win this.
Ending 3 "Dakara, Hitori ja nai" By Little Glee Monster
Starts at daylight with flower petals falling from a tree in and Ochaco turning her hand into a fist as she, Sumire, Sarada, Tsuyu, Mina, Chocho, Toru, Kyoka, and Momo laying down on the beautiful grass with smiles of enjoyment and relaxation while conversating and looking up at the sky.
As the ending plays, the next shot shows the 1-A girls fighting off giants together in their hero costumes while having each others backs. Next shows them chilling out at the park, exhausted after a long day of training. Kyoka sitting on the bench with a hand to her forehead, Sumire on her knees and Mina laying down(Both sighing of fresh air), Ochaco bending down in catching her breath, Tsuyu and Toru bending over the trashcan(puking a little bit), Chocho sweating a lot after a bunch of running, Sarada leaning against the tree with her glasses off and hand over her eyes, and Momo standing up straight and take a few breathes.
Next shows them walking in the rain in their school uniforms while looking at the screen with medium expressions, before the sky changes from overcast rain to daylight. It then switches to the Class 1-A girls in their hero costumes once again in completing an obstacle course together while looking back at some of the Class 1-A Boys(Izuku, Boruto, Katsuki, Mitsuki, Tenya, and Shikadai) and Shota, who watch them from the starting line.
It moves on to the 1-A girls running home on the sidewalk, with Tenya, Boruto, Izuku, Minoru, Katsuki, Mitsuki, and Shikadai chasing behind them in keeping up. Last shot shows the girls smiling after having a great time with today's class while flower pedals bloom in the evening sky on their way home before the logo shows in the end.
5 matches down and several more to go. From here, the matches will be sped up to keep moving.
