At U.A. teacher's lounge:
"Who would've thought Ao was with the Kara..." Shikamaru trails as he, Naruto, All Might, and Shota are on a group call with Komohamaru and Manuel.
"But in the end, he gave his life to protect Uzumaki, Iida, and Midoriya." Manual informs.
"Mugino as well." Komago adds, "He sacrificed himself to protect us." He tightens his fist in frustration.
"..." Naruto gazes, "I understand. It was a painful mission..."
"They both died as true heroes... and we'll never forget that." All Might adds, sorry to hear this.
"Yes sir." Komago lowers his gaze as Manuel pats his back in comfort.
"It's indeed painful when a comrade dies, but that's all the more reason why you can't stand there all day mourning." Aizawa said, "So instead, do everything you can to ensure that their deaths aren't in vain."
Konohamaru nods, taking out a flash drive, "This is the data we downloaded from the container that was aboard the airship." He adds, "It might provide some clues."
"Understood." Shikamaru said, "We'll receive it when you get back and send this to the Cipher Corps for analysis."
"And now the question is..." Manuel then asks, "What do we do about the boy we informed you about?" He refers to Kawaki.
"From what I heard, he has the same mark that Uzumaki has on his hand, isn't that right?" Shota asks, which the two confirm.
"Yes. He called it a "Karma"." Komago replies, "We considered bringing him back, but for safety reasons."
"Right now, he's being examined at the lab in Ryukan." Manual adds.
"We can't let someone that we don't know anything about just here, after all." Shikamaru said, being cautious.
"It seemed like the Kara were after him." Komago said, "They referred to him as "The Vessel." and it looks like he's important to them."
"They're after him, huh? I wonder if that's really accurate though." Shota said.
"According to your report, he has violent tendencies and lash out with the intent to kill, right?" All Might questions, "Even if that's true, he's still just a kid."
"Exactly. We shouldn't be suspicious based on that information." Naruto agrees.
"No, I think we should anticipate every scenario and be suspicious." Shikamaru says otherwise, "Wishful thinking invites danger."
"Having a murderous intent is the mind of a villain... and that's what he's looking to be as it is." Shota completely agrees, "Also, you said that he used his quirk to kill some big guy from Kara, correct?" He asks, "Using his power to kill someone is already a huge violation of the law, villain or not."
"Couldn't agree more." Shikamaru said, "And it's all the more reason to have our guards up."
After nodding, "Also, there's one more thing that's bothering me." Komago chimes in.
"What is it?" All Might asks.
"The one who killed Ao..." He trails.
"You said his name was Koji Kashin, right?" Shota asks.
Komago nods and reveals, "he used the Rasengan."
"!" This surprises Naruto a little.
"Impossible..." All Might too.
"There are only a few who can use the Rasengan." Shikamaru said, "Maybe you miss it for something else."
"No, we saw it with our own eyes." Manuel confirms, "There is a possibility that he copied it with a Scientific Quirk Tool."
"Thank you for telling us." Naruto nods, "After I finish the rest of this paperwork, I'll take over from here."
"Since you put it that way, guess I'll be staying here to complete the rest..." All Might sighs, but doesn't mind the load either.
Outside the Ryuken Facility:
"So this is where they're keeping him..." Tomura says upon him and Kurogiri arriving outside the place, referring to Kawaki, "Kurogiri... as we discussed. You know what to do?"
"Yes Tomura Shigaraki." He replies before warping out of side via purple portal.
"While he's on that..." The hand-masked villain takes out his phone and dials, "Time to tell master about all that's happened..."
Inside the facility:
While in a cell, "..." Kawaki lowers his head as he sits on the bed, with cuffs on his hands and in patient-clothes. He raises his head with a grimace of frustration, "Damn it!" He curses in being locked up like this.
Opening 7 "Hajimatteiku Takamatteiku" by Sambomaster
Starts off with the introduction of Kawaki, who slowly turns around and menacingly raises out his right hand. As he does that, debris starts to levitate around the air as we zoom out to the destruction of Japan before the series title reveals itself.
As the song picks up, we see shots of a few U.A. Students, Boruto(who looks down before gazing up), Izuku(who looks at his scared right hand before gazing forward), Katsuki(who glares with one hand in pocket before un-tightening his right hand to do a mini-explosive), Sarada(who takes off her glasses and activates her Sharingan), Shoto(who looks upward and blows ice fog from his mouth), Mitsuki(who has a snake around his arm/gazes up while sitting on a tree). Next shows some of the Pro heroes(Naruto, All Might, Sasuke, Endeavor, and Shota).
We then cut to the League of Villains, Tomura (with gazes from his hand-mask) the Shins(both serious with their Sharingan's active), and Kurogiri(who opens a portal to his side), along with new recruits: Dabi, Nanashi, Himiko, and Shizuma. With all of them being in the shadow of All for One (who has his back turned in not revealing himself).
Next shows Kawaki in the outskirts and deserted area of Japan as a flock of crows fly nearby. We then move on to Boruto (who's Karma seal activates in his right palm before he closes it) and Izuku (who activates the bio-electricity of One for All around him), along with the rest of Class 1-A in their hero costumes as they all stand in battle positions with firm expressions.
Observing the ruined land of Japan from afar is none other than Kara the Husk, who all have dark black cloaks as the wind breezes through them. We then cut to Kawaki being in what appears to be a test tube and blows a few bubbles as the eye of Kara's leader open gazes over him. This is when the Kara reveals their full appearances, starting with Jigen(who lets down his hood), followed by Delta(who puts a finger under her chin), Boro(who glares under his hood), Amado(who adjusts his glasses), Code(who stretches out an arm), Oga(who smiles nonchalantly), Deepa(who grins evilly), Victor(who frowns with cane in hand), Zorvus(who smirks while looking ahead) and Koji(who smirks with arms crossed over chest). It next shows all members assembled in an alley, with Jigen taking the lead on a stair, with a hand on the side of his head.
As the song heats up, we cut to the destroyed ruins of Japan, showing the entirety of Class 1-A dashing at high speed to engage the members of Kara, splitting up into different fights: Boro fighting off Tenya, Shikadai, and Fumikage before delivering a punch to the dark shadow, a kick to Fumikage, another to Shikadai, and an uppercut to Tenya's chin, knocking his helmet and glasses off. Delta taking on the 1-A girls, mainly 5: She swiftly smacks Momo via electric whip, side-steps a purple aura fist from Sumire and elbows here on the side, then grabs Tsuyu by her frog tongue(the latter tried to restrain the android but failed) and violently throws her into Ochaco(who tried to use her quirk to get a touch in but failed), and then Sarada jumps to try to get a strike in, but ends up repelled by the electric whip and punched in the face, knocking her glasses off. We then switch to Code doing a flip-kick to knock the hardened Eijiro to the ground, dodging snake-strikes from Mitsuki and palms him in the gut before dodging an Ice wave from Shoto, including his fire, before closing the distance and punches him in the chest that sends him flying, he then dodged an explosion from Katsuki, who proceeds to take him on. It next shows Koji engaging in close combat with Boruto, who manages to keep up and avoid his inflamed fists before jumping out the away as Izuku lunges at Koji with a smash, who avoids it at the last minute.
When the smoke clears, the two boys look around and are shocked to see their classmates defeated and unconscious around the battlefield. This causes Izuku to widen/grit his teeth in anger with surging red lines through his body while Boruto yells out in a fit of rage, activating his Karma throughout the right side of his body.
Next shows them fighting the 4 Kara inners, attacking nonstop. A combined attack is launched by Koji and Delta, and as it was about to land, Kawaki jumps into the fray and absorbs the attack, grimacing and revealing his own Karma seal. Surprised by this entry, Katsuki also joins the three, with them having no intention of giving up even while battered.
With the four of them united, they combat against the 4 inners. During this, Kawaki uses a red blast from his Karma, Bakugo uses his gauntlets to form a blast in the same manner respectively, Izuku throws his right fist forward, creating a massive shockwave that's on the level of his mentor while Boruto comes in through the smoke in mid-air and uses a gigantic Rasengan as the final blow. All 4 attacks create a huge explosion in the ruins of Japan, with the large sphere being enough to reach outside of earth.
Last panels show the smoke clearing and them being the only ones left, they're exhausted from fighting and look up at the sunset as it shines down on them and a crow flows by the three, including Kawaki, their new ally, before the song closes.
Chapter 77: Facility Escape
In the main room:
"Rapid cellular division is occurring inside of that young man's body." Akira describes, arms crossed over chest, "Because of that, he's able to instantly strengthen or weaken his body during combat." She adds as the interns and Katasuke look over the paper descriptions given to them.
"His regeneration abilities are very high." Katasuke said, "He was unconscious during our examination, but he'd already recovered some of his energy."
"Does that mean it wouldn't be unusual if he started using the power of the Karma?" Shoto asks.
"We don't know much about that mark called the Karma." The doctor replies, "But, we don't think he has enough energy to transform his body or use his powers."
"Karma, huh..." Boruto gazes at his, "Why do we both have this thing?"
"I'm curious too. Is it some sort of special quirk" Izuku asks.
"All I know is without that damn mark, he'd be quirkless." Katsuki said, "In fact, without the mark, does he even have his own quirk at all?"
"We have no way of knowing at the moment." Katasuke replies, "Please forgive me. We shall continue our research."
"There's no need to apologize, Dr. Katasuke." Izuku assures.
"On the other hand though, he seems to think we're his enemies." Boruto said.
"That tells us that it's dangerous to just let him loose from his room." Tenya adds.
"It pains me to isolate this young man, but you all make a good point." Katasuke agrees, "We must be careful, so try not to interact with him more than necessary." He adds, "I'm counting on you all."
The interns nod in complying before Katsuki mentions, "No need to tell me twice. If that bastard starts acting up, I'll beat him down."
"This isn't that kind of mission Bakugo." Tenya air-chops.
"You and that boy are similar in terms of violent behavior..." Katasuke states, with a sweat-drop, "Best not to let you two come one inch near the other."
"So true." Boruto agrees.
"Definitely." Shoto too.
"Say what?!" The hothead exclaims dramatically, "I don't care about that! I can take him!"
This is when they hear the alarm go off and a staff member comes rushing in the main room, "Dr. Katasuke, we have an emergency!"
They get to the control room and see on the camera that Kawaki messes up the small bed and bangs on the door in anger, even with his hand-cuffs on.
"He's raging..." Shoto comments.
"We have to stop him quick or he might escape." Mitsuki said.
"Let me at him." Katsuki glares at the half-blonde.
"Not so fast." Tenya halts him.
"This is not good if he keeps this up." Katasuke states.
"Are you saying the door won't hold?!" Sarada questions.
"If so, then that's not good!" Izuku widens.
"No, it's built durably to withstand the experiments we do on various quirks." The doctor assures, "But his body won't withstand such reckless actions."
"..." Boruto didn't say a thing and grimaces at the screen of him.
In the room:
Kawaki huffs after his raging, surprised with the door's durability, "How strong is this thing?!" he then starts feeling the effects of the impact, "Hgrh!" He sweats, but doesn't give up, "DAMN YOU!" He roars and continues bashing against the door, "I don't have any strength... usually, I could knock down the door like this!" he gives up and leans against the wall. As he does that, sleeping gas behind to fill the room, "*cough*cough* damn it!" He tries bashing against the door again in trying to get out, "I need to... get out of here quick... away from "him"...!" He then falls to the ground, now unconscious from the smoke.
In the control room:
"What was that?" Sarada asks.
"There is only to worry. We're just going to have him sleep for a little while." Katasuke smiles in assurance.
"Good call." Tenya said, "Even though he fought that big guy in self-defense, he still used his power for the wrong reason as to kill someone." He adds, which they all agree for sure.
Then Izuku thinks with a finger under his chin and suggest, "You know... by the time he wakes up, we should at least give him something to eat to help him calm down. And to assure that we have no intention of harming hum."
"Hmm..." Tenya trails, "That's not a bad idea. But we still need to be very cautious when we approach him."
"Agreed. Any volunteers to go? We'll keep it at three to be sure." Katasuke asks.
"I'll go. Just in case the bastard steps out of line." Katsuki states immediately.
"I'm afraid you can't." The doctor says.
"Come on! Why not?!" The hothead exclaims.
"Have you forgotten what we said earlier, we can't risk you going in there just to start a fight." Sarada said, "So for now, you're staying."
"You damn extras...!" Katsuki sneers in a dramatic pout.
"How about me?" Izuku raises his hand.
"And I." Mitsuki too.
"Same with me." Boruto as well.
"Alright, now if you could-" Katasuke almost says until.
"Wait." Katsuki chimes in and interrupts, "After what happened during that last battle, you should be banned from going too, Whiskers."
"Huh?" Boruto narrows a confused brow, "Care to elaborate or are you just salty that you can't go yourself?"
"It's not about that!" He exclaims annoyingly, "It's obviously that mark."
"Yeah? What about it?" The blonde asks, not seeing his point.
"That thing activates whenever you and half-blonde are in close contact with each other right?" Bakugo states in figuring it out, "You going in there will cause his mark to awaken and that alone give him the chance to escape."
"And that's where you're wrong, Bakugo." Boruto grimaces
"Oh yeah? How so?" Katsuki glares.
"One of us has to automatically activate the mark linings that forces the other to activate theirs." He argues, "That guy doesn't have the strength to use it on his own, and I have no reason to use mine. Not like I know how to anyway." He adds, "So there's your answer. Next time, pay more attention before talking."
"Um..." Izuku mutters in knowing where this might go.
"Why you...!" He sneers and normally, Katsuki would shout back, but this time, he holds himself back from doing so, "Fine, do whatever you want, but don't come crying to me if that damn mark activates the moment you set foot in that room ." He scoffs and walks off.
"As if that would happen." Boruto remarks in same fashion.
"Well... now that that's settled, shall we?" Katasuke asks awkwardly, to which the three going nod.
In his room:
Kawaki begins to have yet another dream about his terrible past: The house on fire, blood on his face, and while he was alone an alleyway, he meets Jigen, who lets his hood down in a dark way, From this moment on..." He smirks ominously, "I am your father, Kawaki." He raises his hand out slowly toward him, "There's nothing to be afraid of." He assures with the same dark smirk, "Now... come here."
"!" Kawaki widens and wakes up quickly from that bad dream, panting constantly and eventually calms down. He looks at his karma and wonders, "Why can't I use it at a time like this?!" He gazes around his cell while sitting on his bed, "Damn it! I can't be locked up like this right now!" He mutters frustratingly.
He then hears the door slide open, showing Uzumaki, Midoirya, Mitsuki, and a female facility assistant (with a tray of food), walking in.
"Oh. It's you assholes again." Kawaki grimaces, not pleased to see them, "What do you want?" He bluntly asks.
"We've brought you some food." The female assistant smiles, "Though it might be difficult to eat while being handcuffed."
"Sorry about all this." Boruto said, "We can't let someone who might suddenly rampage roam freely."
"Also... I mean to ask." Izuku then questions, "Why did you decide to murder that big guy back there?"
"Huh?" Kawaki narrows a brow, annoyingly.
"The big guy that you killed... he had no will left to fight and you still decided to murder him... why did you do that?" He asks.
"What type of stupid question are you spouting? That pig Garo got what he deserved." Kawaki replies bluntly, "I warned him that he'd lose more than his chin, and that, he did."
"But we don't use our quirks to kill! It'd be a violation against the-" Izuku tries saying but is interrupted.
"First of all, what the hell is a quirk?" The half-blonde cuts him off, "And second of all, I'll use my power in any way I see fit, and whenever I feel like it!" He argues, which only makes Izuku sweat in a gaze at him silently, seeing that his words aren't getting through to him, more so surprised that Kawaki doesn't know what a quirk is.
"And that right there is why we can't let you out." Boruto said, hands in pockets, "You're behaving like a villain right now." He adds, which Kawaki scoffs to in not caring what they say or think.
"How about eating something to calm you down?" The female assistant offers and suggests.
"..." He gazes at the food samples in tray.
"Okay, hero you go." She raises a spoon to feed him, but in response, Kawaki angrily kicks the tray of food over to the floor, "Ah!" She squeals, starting to fall backwards until Mitsuki caught her.
"Are you okay?!" Izuku asks.
"Y-Yes..." She nods a little.
Angered, Boruto grabs Kawaki by his right shoulder, "Listen here, you bastard! You better watch what you're doing!"
"You think I'm stupid? It's poison or something isn't it? I'm not eating that shit." Kawaki remarks back.
"N-No way! We wouldn't try to poison you!" The female assistant tries to assure.
"Where am I? And what exactly are you trying to do by keeping me locked up in here?" Kawaki demands answers.
"Look, we're not trying to do anything at all!" Boruto argues.
"Oh yeah? So says you Kara lowlifes!" He shouts back.
"Damn it! Would you stop saying that? We're not with them!" Boruto exclaims, losing his patience, "But come on, we can't just go and release someone... who we know next to nothing about!" He squeezes his shoulder tighter, causing Kawaki to wince in pain.
"Boruto stop!" Izuku halts.
"He's still injured!" Mitsuki too.
"!" The blonde stops in realizing what he's doing and quickly lets go of his injured shoulder, "O-Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to do that." He apologizes.
"Grr..." Kawaki eyes him in response.
"The rest of us are sorry too. For snatching you up out of the blue like that."" Izuku chimes in, gazing at Kawaki, "You're in the Advanced Technology Lab, where they conduct research on Scientific Quirk Tools." He explains, "The three of us are Interns in a hero agency so please know this..." he adds calmly, "We have no intention of harming you." He assures.
"Izuku! Why are you telling him all this?" Boruto questions.
"W-Well, it's just..." The freckled teen stammers awkwardly, "He must be feeling real anxious about being confined."
Uzumaki gazes back to the half-blonde teen and states, "Anyway, please try to bear with all of this for the time being." He then turns to the door, "Come on." he tells his classmates and the female assistant, which they nod and follow, leaving Kawaki alone in the room, who only grimaces in thinking of a way to get out.
After they make it back to the control room, "That was uncalled for, Uzumaki." Tenya berates, "You were there to assure that he's in good hands, not to injure him more than he already was."
"He's right, you went too far." Sarada agrees, "He's still not healed from his last battle."
"Yeah I know that." Boruto rubs the back of his head, "Sheesh. quit ganging on me."
"Ha! And you idiots thought I was gonna stir some trouble in there? Well guess again." Bakugo smirks.
"Hey! It's better than whatever stunt you were gonna pull in there, smart guy!" Uzumaki insults.
"Oh? You wanna go?" Katsuki sneers as they butt heads.
"Not right now, you two!" Tenya breaks them up.
Shoto and Mitsuki gaze up at the screen to Kawaki's room, "!" but then they notice that the screen suddenly turns off.
"Guys..." Shoto trails.
"What's up?" Izuku narrows a brow.
"The screen... it blacked out." Mitsuki informs, surprising them.
"Seriously?" Boruto asks.
"But why is it only his room?" Sarada asks.
"That's gotta be wrong! All surveillance camas are set to activate and deactivate at the same time." Katasuke finds this strange, "There's something going wrong here..."
"Yeah... best to hurry and try to fix that." Tenya said, which the doctor nods to.
In his room:
While Kawaki sits on the bed in frustration, a purple portal opens right in the middle of the space, "!" The teen gets up from his bed immediately, in a defense position, even with the handcuffs on him, "What's this?!" He questions immediately.
"Be at ease, boy." The voice of Kurogiri is heard and the warp villain takes his usual form, "I'm here to break you out."
"Break me out? Who the hell are you?" Kawaki sneers, not believing this, "Or is there someone from Kara that sent you?!"
"Everything will be explained when you're released from here." The warp villain replies, "But know this. I am not part of this "Kara" nor do I know what they are." He then uses a remotes key that he stole from a room to unlock the cuffs on Kawaki, freeing his hands.
The teen shakes them around a little before asking, "Why exactly are you helping me?"
"As I said, things will be explained once you've escaped this facility." Kurogiri replies, using a gate to warp his hand to unlock the room door from the outside, "If I were you, take this chance to leave, before everyone finds out and rings the alarms." He advises before teleporting himself out the room.
"Hold it!" Kawaki exclaims, but the villain was already gone, "Kuh... I don't know what the hell that was about." He scoffs and doesn't ignore that the door is open right in front of him, "But at the same time, I can't miss this opportunity to escape." He immediately runs out his cell and into the hallway.
In the control room:
"Alright, it's back on." A facility member informs the group, as the screen to Kawaki's room cuts back on.
However, when it's in full view, they see that the room door is open and that Kawaki is nowhere to be seen, "!" Which stuns all of them.
"He's gone!" Izuku exclaims.
"But how? He still had cuffs on him!" "Tenya too.
"And he couldn't have broken down the door in his condition either!" Sarada adds.
"Damn it... where did he go?!" Boruto exclaims.
"Look closer..." Mitsuki points, "There were no signs of him forcefully getting out... it's as if the door opened normally from the outside."
"Huh?" Katsuki narrows a brow, "So you're saying someone let that half-blonde bastard out of his cell?!" He scoffs out.
The snake teen confirms and theorizes, "Someone from Kara could have infiltrated this facility and opened his cell from the outside."
"Now that you mention it..." Shoto voices, "It's no coincidence that the camera to his room malfunctioned, while the other ones didn't." He adds, "It was intentional so that whoever did this, could let that guy out at that exact moment." He adds.
"No way...!" Izuku widens in surprise.
"If that's true, then that's not good..." Katasuke mutters, "That young man and whoever let him out could be anywhere in this facility."
"Alright, then I'll sound off the alarm." Akira gets to it.
"We'll fan out and search for him." Sarada said, "There's also a possibility that he's stolen some Scientific Quirk Tools, you and Miss Akira should stay away from the lower levels." She adds, and the doctor nods.
"It's on now!" Katsuki grins with fist pumped explosive, "I'm about to beat that bastard to the point that he'll regret trying to escape!" He sets off in finding Kawaki.
"Kaachan!" Izuku calls out.
"He's so in a hurry." Tenya sighs.
"That settles it, let's move out." Boruto leaves the control room as well.
"Right." Shoto said as he follows.
"We're off, Doctor." Sarada said as she and Mitsuki follows suit.
"We'll bring him back here no matter what." Tenya declares.
"We guarantee it!" Izuku nods as they go to search for Kawaki in the facility.
Meanwhile:
Outside the facility, Tomura hears the alarm sounds go off before Kurogiri appears next to him, "He's roaming freely and causing a commotion, I assume?" The hand-mask villain asks.
"Yes." Kurogiri replies, "And now the whole facility is trying to find him."
"As expected... after all, we're testing this kid to see if he can escape under circumstances like this." Tomura said, with his arms crossed, "Another requirement for recruitment to the league." He adds, "Now all we have to do is wait... and see how he manages to leave this facility in his own way..."
Back inside:
As the alarms go off and everyone in the facility searching for him, Kawaki sneaks around a few corners until he reaches a storage room.
"..." He sneaks around, until he finds a box, "These are..." he recognizes, before smirking a little in realization, "Whatever works in getting out of here, I guess." He proceeds to use what's in front of him from the box before leaving the storage room.
As he's back to sneaking around, he manages to avoid some of the facility guards that ran by before making his in another part of the hall.
However, before he could go anything further, "!" He turns to the corner to find Boruto, Mitsuki, and Izuku several feet away, "Tch." The half-blonde scoffs.
"This is as far as you go!" Boruto exclaims.
"Please stop this. It's best to go back to your room to avoid unnecessary fighting." Izuku advises.
"Or we'll have to use force as an option." Mitsuki said, with a grimaces.
In a ready stance himself like they are, "Screw you, assholes." Kawaki remarks, "Try and make me go back... if you can!" He proceeds to attack the trio, encasing his right arm in quirk-tool wood.
This forces the trio to dodge out the way before Izuku activates full cowling and grabs him from behind, causing a struggle, "Let go of me, freckle bastard!" Kawaki resists.
"I can't do that! I'm telling you that we're not trying to hurt you, so just stop!" Izuku exclaims, struggling to hold him still.
"Nice Izuku!" Boruto exclaims.
"I'll add the finishing touch!" Mitsuki goes to restrain him via extended snake arm, however, even while being held, Kawaki raises his left arm, his left facility-sleeve hanging down to reveal that he has a quirk tool gauntlet and uses a wind quirk to repel the snake teen's extended arm, "!" Surprising him.
"What?!" Izuku exclaims in surprise, still struggling to hold him.
"A scientific quirk tool?!" Boruto widens.
"Heh!" Kawaki hits Izuku in the square face with the back of his head.
"Guh!" Midoriya is forced to let go as he holds his bleeding nose, forcing him to deactivate full cowling as well. This gives Kawaki the opening to form a wooden fist and strike Izuku in the face, "UGH!" Sending him flying and making his head hit the wall, knocking him unconscious.
"Midoriya!" Mitsuki exclaims.
"Enough is enough!" Boruto roars and lunges at Kawaki, while Mitsuki goes for another arm extension in trying to restrain him, however, Kawaki thinks ahead and takes out a flash-screen bomb before covering his ears.
As soon the tool's flash and smokescreen goes off, "Argh!" Both Uzumaki and Mitsuki grunt in closing their eyes and covering their ears due to the high sound. After a few seconds, Boruto opens his eyes to see that Kawaki coming at him with his wooden fist, "!" He gasps and quickly blocks with his arms, "Gugh!" but the force sends him flying back to the wall.
"Boruto!" Mitsuki exclaims, opening one eye before being forced to block a wood fist strike as well, hitting the wall too.
This gives Kawaki time to escape to another part of the floor, leaving the trio behind.
"Ouch..." Izuku gets up, rubbing his head in pain, "That hurt a lot..."
"Ugh, that jerk! Where did he go?!" Boruto is furious with this.
"He might be at the lower level now." Mitsuki guesses, recovering as well, "That's where the others should be looking by now." He adds, "Hopefully they get him there..."
"The escapee is wearing a green hospital robe and and let loose around the facility, find and track him!" The intercom is heard and more facility guards begin to search every inch of the place for Kawaki.
In the main room:
"Doctor, where are you going?" Akira asks upon seeing him put on a quirk gauntlet on his right arm.
"It's hard for me to sit here and do nothing while everyone else is searching for that you g man." Katasuke replies, "The more help, the better." He leaves the room, making Akira worry for him.
A few minutes later:
While dashing in the hallway, "I didn't think he's be this hard to find." Tenya admits, "With the injuries he sustained before, I thought this be easy."
"Miss Akira did say that he could regenerate due to the rapid cellular division in his body." Sarada recalls, "So he could be healing overtime."
"That's gonna make it even harder to tame him down." Shoto said, "Having scientific quirks tools inside someone isn't ordinary... and it's uncalled for." He adds, which they agree.
"ALERT! ALERT! THE ESCAPEE IS ON THE LOWER LEVEL! HE'S IN THE MAIN AREA AND IS TAKING A LOT OF US- AGH!" The guard through the intercom is struck and hung up.
"We better hurry!" Sarada suggests and they zoom ahead.
In the main area of the lower level:
Kawaki continues taking out multiple guards as facility staff members run away in fright.
By the time Katasuke, Uchiha, Todoroki, and Iida get there, they hide behind pillars to approach carefully as the half-blonde finishes up the last of the guards.
"*pant*pant*" Kawaki sighs in exhaustion a bit as he's not fully healed from his prior fight with Garo.
"He's wearing down...!" the doctor notices.
"This is our chance!" Sarada too.
Now that their escapee is wide open for an attack, Katasuke readies his quirk-tool gauntlet hand and comes out from behind his pillar spot, "Ha!" firing a sound wave.
"Urgh!" Kawaki covers his ears from the sound.
Katasuke fires another one to keep the half-blonde from moving, "Now to restrain you!" He uses an energized binding rope quirk via gauntlet to tie up Kawaki.
"Damn!" Kawaki grunts.
"You need to stop this. It's best if you just cooperate with us." Katasuke suggest.
"That's not happening." Even while restrained, the half-blonde forms an absorption orb via left hand to absorb and nullify the quirk restrains om him.
"!" The doctor and interns widen, "So he does have some Scientific Quirk tools on him!" The former exclaims, taken off guard.
This is when Kawaki proceeds to use the wind quirk to blow the doctor back, "Agh!" Katasuke grunts and lands on a table and then to the ground, knocking his glasses off in the process.
"Doctor!" Tenya exclaims.
"Get him!" Sarada exclaims as the three jump into action.
Attacking one at a time, but without using their quirks to try and restrain him, Tenya throws an axe-kick, which Kawaki blocks off and does the same with his axe punch before kneeing him in the gut, "Gugh!" Iida grunts before Kawaki uses his wooden fist to punch Tenya into a pillar, making it crack and also knocks his glasses off.
Sarada tries to attack but he repels her with a kick that she blocks but makes her slide back. Despite not being a physical fight, Shoto tries throws a punch in, only for Kawaki to duck. He then throws an axe-kick, but the half-blonde leaps back before lunging forward for a wooden punch, luckily, Sarada comes in and lands a punch to Kawaki's cheek, sending him back.
"Kuh!" Kawaki sneers after recovering and engages them in close combat, and eventually finds an opening after dodging a punch from Todoroki and grabs him by the throat, doing a choke-slam
"Gugh!" Shoto grunts in smashing into a table, making it break into pieces from impact.
Sarada quickly jumps and goes for an axe kick, but Kawaki catches it with his wooden fist before flinching her down into another table, breaking it, "Gagh!" She grunts from the impact.
"It's over." Kawaki prepares to use the Quirk-tool gauntlet for another attack.
Until, "RAAAH!" Bakugo comes flying in with an explosive palm that Kawaki barley avoids by jumping to the side.
"Bakugo!" Sarada surprised to see him while she recovers from the last impact.
"Escaping is pointless, half-blonde bastard." Katsuki grins, raring to go, "And now... I'll have to take you down by force!" He propels towards him.
Kawaki scoffs and blocks the income axe-kick, before trying to strike back, but Bakugo propels over him and blasts him in the back, "Guh!" Kawaki grunt, feeling some of the burns on the back of his hospital robe, but Bakugo isn't done and goes in for another explosive palm, and Kawaki barely moves out the way and uses the gauntlet on his right to launch out a lightning quirk that zaps the hothead in mid-air.
"Hargh!" Bakugo grunts out as he feels the electric stings around his body. This leaves an opening for Kawaki to use his wooden-fist to strike Bakugo in the gut, sending him back and toppling to a halt, "Argh!" The hothead sneers as he recovers and sees that Kawaki is heading up the stairs in trying to get away and gets up in pursuing him.
As soon as the half blonde makes it up the stairs, he sees that Bakugo meets him there by propelling via explosives to the opposite end, "..." Kawaki glares in grimace, which Bakugo does the same as they stare the other down.
After a few seconds, they resume in close combat, being evenly matched for a bit. By the time Kawaki goes for a wooden fist strike, Bakugo catches the blow with both hands, "!" However, he widens in a struggle to find that he's starting to get overpowered by the half-blonde's strength.
Thinking quick, Bakugo topples them both over another case of stairs. By the time they recover, they get back to trading hits, with Kawaki landing a left-hook to Bakugo's face, but the hothead recovers quickly and elbows Kawaki on the nose before roaring, "RAAAH!" He lands an explosive palm on the half-blonde that sends him over the rail and into the wall before falling all the way down to the floor.
Bakugo runs over to the rail to look over in seeing him recovering down there and runs to the other side and propels over the rail to land to the floor. By the time he runs to the corner, "!" The hothead widens in surprise to find that Kawaki is already gone, "Son of bitch...!" He curses, seeing that the half-blonde got away.
Having gotten away, "*pant*pant*" Kawaki feels fatigued after all the fighting, "Not being 100% really sucks...!" He continues moving, "And those assholes are so annoying... where's the entrance to this place?"
As he continues moving, he finds a storage room nearby and quickly hides as a couple of guards rush by, "Close..." He voices before turning around to see if there's more quirk-tools around to use, "?" By the time he looks to the right side, "Are those..." he surprisingly sees that his regular clothes are there, all washed and clean, "Perfect... I've been wanting to ditch these tattered up robes anyway." He proceeds to change, putting back on his green tank-top, blue vest and dark pants. He notices the gauntlet on his left arm isn't working, "Damn.. a malfunction." He abandons the dead absorption tech and leaves the room.
Afterwards, he continues moving and finds the door to the outside, sneaking out the backside of the facility. He then feels pain coming from his waist side, "Damn... I'm so hungry that I'm not regenerating fast enough." He's frustrated with this.
"You'll have some food when you're back in your room."
"!" Kawaki perks ahead to see Komago and Manual, which the former commented with his arms crossed.
"We received a call from Akira that you were causing a commotion at this facility." Manual said, "But that stops now."
"Well, what do you know..." Kawaki trails in a glare, "You so-called heroes are no different from Kara after all." He adds, "All you assholes wanna do is keep me confined in a cell like some type of dog... and run those stupid examinations on me. Guess all that crap about you helping me was just a lie."
"That's not true." Manuel assures, "We're trying the best we can to help you, but you keep making it harder for us."
"Still, we also can't overlook the fact that you're the one that Kara wants to take back and you used your quirk to kill that big guy from earlier." Komago said.
"Even though it was self-defense, using your power to kill someone is a crime itself." The water hero adds.
"Shut up. Excuses are all you guys are good at." Kawaki scoffs, "Now get out the way, or I'll kill you both." He prepares to use the scientific quirk gauntlet he's still got around his right wrist.
"Guess we have no choice..." Komago gets in battle position.
"Yeah..." Manuel too.
Before they could engage, Kurogiri's portal opens and shows him and Tomura coming out of it, standing in front of Kawaki and staring at the two pros.
"Hold on... you two?!" Konohamaru recognizes them, "They're the guys that attacked the U.S.J."
"You're the one that busted me out." Kawaki recognizes the warp villain.
"Busted out, you say?" Manual questions.
"Now, now, how about we bring this to a close?" Tomura voices, "Can't have you throwing our new "recruit" back in a cell, now can we?"
"Recruit?" Kawaki narrows at this, "What are you talking about? And who are you?" He questions the hand-mask villain.
"I'll answer that after we leave here." Shigaraki replies, "Let's go, Kurogiri."
"Hold on, there is no "we". Who said I was coming with you? Kawaki glares, confused with this.
"Better question, how are you gonna outrun or fight them in your condition?" Tomura asks in counter, "Unless you have any ideas on how to do that, coming with us is your only choice..."
"No way, you're not going anywhere!" Komago exclaims as he and Manuel proceed to dash at them.
"Kurogiri." Tomura signals.
"On it." The warp villain teleports himself, Shigaraki and Kawaki out of the area before the pros could get them.
"Damn it! They got away!" Manuel frustrates.
"This is bad news... the league is now involved! Konohamaru grits his teeth, "We need to regroup with the interns and figure something out." He suggested.
"Right, let's go." Manuel nods before they move into the facility to regroup.
Ending 7 "Datte Atashi no Hiro" by LiSA
Opens up in the morning skies above Coruscant as it changes to shots of the training grounds, highways, and speeders flying through the air.
We then see Padawan Izuku leave his coordinates and happily running off to training, but ends up tripping/falling on his face, upon looking up, he sees fellow Padawan Boruto extending a hand to him with a grin, with Padawans Ochaco, Tenya, and Sumire being there too. Izuku smiles brightly as his blonde friend helps him up by hand.
Next shoots to Shoto in his coordinates, in a sitting position and as closes as he meditates near his opened window. After being done, he opens the door to see the MC's and his fellow padawans, which makes him crack a smile. As they walk in the hallways, they greet Sarada, who waves, and Mitsuki, who smiles casually, both Padawans as well. The group walk by the training grounds to see Katsuki cutting down a couple trees with his lightsaber in fury. When they call out in telling that it's time for training session with Jedi Master Aizawa, the hothead exclaims at them dramatically in not needing it.
This is when the sky goes dark/overcast and all Padawans look upward to see Kara Droids levitating above them, forcing the teens to get in battle positions, igniting their green Lightsabers with serious grimaces. We cut to the young Padawans taking on multiple Kara Droids: Uzumaki slicing one down by it's head and Midoriya slicing one in the middle. As it appears though they're surrounded, they receive backup from the rest of their fellow Padawans (Eijiro, Shikadai, Tsuyu, Iwabe, and everyone else in the class with their green lightsabers ignited). The MC's grin/smile with a nod before they continue the fight with increased numbers.
As the fight continues in the destroyed field, everyone starts to tire down, and another unit of Kara droids approach, the renegade Sith apprentice: Kawaki, ignites his red Lightsaber and uses force-lightning to electrocute half of them, surprising the teen Jedi's at his arrival. He grimaces at the Padawans, but decides to fight in lending a hand.
With this extra amount of strength from a new ally, the group stands united and perseveres in dealing with the rest of the Kara droids: Kawaki force-crushes two, Bakugo slashes one with a battle cry, Sarada and Mitsuki doing a combined slash, and Shoto force-pushing one into the other. With the droids dealt with, they face the last one, an enormous Kara Mega-Droid towering over them.
Despite how bruised, battered, and tired they are, the united front aren't ones to give up and the MC's charge before doing a Jedi high-jump in meeting the foe head-on. Everyone roots for the duo to finish this fight, including Bakugo(who grins) and Kawaki(who grimaces with wide eyes). Uzumaki's lightsaber changes to dark-blue while Midoriya's changes to light-blue, and with the final blow, they slash the enormous Mega-droid in half, defeating it and ending the battle.
It goes white as it was the pages read in a 1-A textbook before the song closes.
Meanwhile:
Having just arrived to witness their "Vessel" being taken away, "You've got to be kidding me?!" Delta exclaims in anger, "Whoever those bastards are, they just took away our Vessel!"
"Those "bastards" happen to be the ones that attack U.A. some time ago before the sports festival." Koji Identifies, "The League of Villains."
"Well I don't give a damn who they are." Delta grits her teeth, "I knew we should have gotten ride of those heroes while we had the chance, but instead I end up listening to you... which causes this to happen!"
"I make the calls that I see fit. This was never your mission to begin with." Koji remarks, which gives an annoying glare from Delta, "Feel free to report back to Jigen about this." He adds, "I'll track down the league and get Kawaki back."
"And how are you gonna do that? The one in the purple has a warp quirk." Delta points out, "That tells us they could be anywhere in Japan."
"Which is why I won't have to search on foot." Koji states otherwise, "The heroes here are no doubt going to fan out a large search party to find Kawaki, even if it means notifying other pros around the area." he adds, "So I'll be sticking close by while they do all the heavy work."
"..." Delta glares, "You're awfully calm about this, Koji. You do know if something happens to that Vessel-"
"Nothing will happen." Koji interrupts, arms crossed, "It's clear that the league are trying to recruit him."
"Recruit him you say?" She narrows a brow.
"Exactly." He confirms, "It seems that they were nearby the whole time and also spectated on Kawaki's fight with Garo." He theorizes, "Hence, is the reason why they took him... because of his strength and power."
"Tch. Unfortunately for them, Kawaki isn't the type to simply say yes to joining a group." Delta states, "Especially if he hates us Kara Inners... not that I care about how he feels."
"That's the whole scoop. He's most likely to fight back against them and escape on his own." Koji theorizes, "And if that does happen, it'll leave him vulnerable to the heroes... and us."
"Even better." Delta smirks, "Guess I'll inform Jigen on this and search for Kawaki myself." She states in final before disappearing off the branch.
"..." Koji only gazes ahead, "Now then... how should I play this out..." He wonders with a grimace as the wind blows through his cloak.
That settles it, Kawaki escapes from Ryukan's facility and is off with the League! Which leaves the Pros/Interns and Kara to decide their next moves on getting him back.
