After an awkward situation at dinner, Makoto wonders if Kyoko really needs to keep putting up with a certain problem she has dealt with for years.

Being dropped into the killing game is always a dangerous place to be as a student of Hope's Peak, not knowing what will happen or who will kill whom. But what happens when the one in charge has a change of heart? Or rather, has the mind of someone else entirely who will stop at nothing to save everyone they can. Even if it dives them to Despair.

Receiving and invitation from the prestigious Eden's Garden Academy was not something that Annastashia was expecting, let alone receiving the tittle of Ultimate along with it for as far as she knew, life was already fine as it was. However, he faces a trial for PROTECTING the Remnants of Despair, facing possible punishment. Unfortunately, Naegi and some of the Future Foundation leaders and members became trapped and faces another killing game.

As preparations for the Neo World Program work Makoto down to the bone, Kyoko wakes him up in the middle of the night and demands him to meet with her at the beach. Although Kyoko leaves without explaining herself, Makoto is certain that it must be important.
