A/N: I have seen the new trailer... I found something I might need to incorporate in the future. Lilith's shirt... She is wearing a shirt with the Lower Battery sign on it... If she chose to wear that t-shirt on her own volition knowing what it means then I am going to have to mention it and have her bond with Izuku over a shared love of ironic T-Shirts... So yeah... anyways enjoy...
Chapter 3: Learning Magic…
Once Luz was able to calm down from her fangirling she brought the 10 that were chosen outside. They were also joined by Willow and Amity.
"All right!" said Luz, "Since coming to the Boling Isles I have found out how to use forgotten magic that anyone who can't use magic and can use!"
She took out four pieces of paper, which one that a magic circle on them on them.
"Those look like the thing that brought us here." Said Izuku.
"But it does look different." Said Yaoyorozu.
"Whatever brought you here must have been old because this a long forgotten magic." Said Luz.
"I'm one of the top students in class and I never heard of it until Luz showed me." Said Amity.
"But that's also really weird, because the one time I tried to use a spell on Earth, the paper turned to dust." Said Luz.
"Wait… I thought you were stranded here." Said Kirishima.
"I am… but I was here before I got stranded here." Said Luz.
"Wait… you chose to be here." Said Bakugo.
"It's a long story…" sighed Luz, "Also I'm a big fan of Good Witch Azura… so there's that too."
"You know that fair…" said Kirishima with a shrug.
A few of the other agreed with him because yeah it made sense for someone who was into fantasy to learn magic.
"There are four Glyphs I have discovered. Light" said Luz.
She touched the piece of paper which turned into a ball of light.
"Ice." Said Luz.
She touched the second piece of paper which created a small pillar of ice.
"Plant." Said Luz.
She touched the third piece of paper which blossom a small flower bush .
"And fire!" said Luz.
She touched the last piece of paper and it burst into flames.
"It's probably best if you learn to draw them yourself." Said Luz.
"Yeah… you need to learn two spells to avoid the baby class." Said Willow.
"Wait is that like Kindergarten?" asked Ochaco.
"Magic kindergarten." Said Luz, "So pick the two you want."
"Ice and Fire." Answered Todoroki.
Everyone but Amity and Willow looked at him.
"Todoroki, you better not have any intention of cheating." Said Iida.
"I just felt that would be the best ones to learn…" explained Todoroki.
Amity and Willow were confused.
"His quirk lets him use fire and ice on his own." Said Luz.
The two young witches nodded.
"Plant and ice." Tokoyami soon answered.
Dark Shadow was weakened by light so it made sense he didn't want to learn fire or light.
"Fire and Light." Muttered Bakugo.
"I'd like to try Light and Ice." Said Ochaco.
"I want to try Light and Plant." Said Izuku.
"Okay…" said Luz clearly trying not to laugh at the fact that well…
Izuku's hair did look a little like a bush.
Willow and Ochaco were also giggling.
Izuku blushed knowing why they were giggle but took the Glyphs anyways.
"I'd like Ice and Plant." Said Yaoyorozu.
"I would like to try Plant and Fire." Said Iida.
"Ice and Fire are pretty manly." Said Kirishima.
"Um… Plant and Light…" whispered Koda.
"Light and Fire." Said Jiro.
Luz gave them all the Glyph and it was clear the lesson was to perfectly copy them with their own hands .
"Can I try too Fumi!" said Dark Shadow.
"I had figured you would." Said Tokoyami.
"What in the Titan's name…" said Amity.
"That's his quirk." Said Luz, "Quirks can be weird… I remember when a kid's quirk awakened in Pre-School that was really weird."
(Flashback)
Luz was coloring when she noticed her classmate was sucking on his fingers which was weird because he never did it before.
"Bradly… are you okay/" asked the Teachers, "Do your fingers hurt?"
"No… chocolate pudding comes out of it now… and I'm eating the pudding…" said the little boy named Bradly.
Who then shot cholate pudding out his fingertips.
(End of Flashback)
"Shot chocolate pudding out his fingers…" repeated Amity.
"There's a popular hero in Japan called Cold Stone Justice who can create any ice cream he can imagine…" said Izuku.
And so the 10 students began to copy the Glyphs.
Izuku got it right on his first try with the light glyph.
"Oh wow!" said Ochaco.
Bakugo gritted his teeth nearby and also drew the first Glyph which of course gave off an explosion.
"Okay… you might want to be careful." Said Luz.
"Don't tell me what to do!" yelled Bakugo.
"She's trying to teach you magic… you really should listen to her instructions." Said Amity .
"She's got a point you know! If you don't want to end up in the baby class!" said Hooty suddenly showing up getting close to Bakugo.
"DIE!" yelled Bakugo blowing up Hooty.
He knew if he didn't go to these school it would be his job to clean that owl tube thing…
"Should we stop him?" asked Yaoyorozu.
"It's fine." Said Luz.
"It's hard to not try to beat him up…" muttered Amity.
Willow nodded in agreement.
Thankfully everyone was able to get the glyphs chosen down.
"All right! I bet you noticed our uniforms are different." Said Luz.
"Yeah… what do the colors mean?" asked Izuku.
"The color depends on the tract." Said Luz, "I'm in all of them so I get the multi-colored uniform…"
"I'm a student in plant magic." Said Willow who drew a magic circle in the air and a large plant suddenly grew.
"And I'm in the abominations tract." Said Amity who drew a magic circle in the air, "Abomination! Rise!"
Suddenly a horrific looking purple monster of goo appeared, which the 10 Class 1-A students were shocked.
Granted they were wondering what an Abomination was as that was the only magic they didn't understand during the explanation, but seeing one was just weird.
"What is it made out of?" asked Yaoyorozu out of curiosity.
"It's hard to explain…" said Amity.
"And Gus… is busy asking your friends various questions… but I'm sure he'll be existed to you some illusion magic." Said Luz.
"How is we're in a magical fantasy world and we meet two people like Deku?" muttered Bakugo.
"Kacchan." Sighed Izuku.
They re-entered the Owl House and it was clear that Gus was asking all sorts of questions to their classmates .
Really weird questions.
"So the dead cube isn't a weapon at all?" asked Gus holding up a picture of a Rubik's cube.
"No … it's a ty that angers a lot of people.' Said Tsuyu.
"Why does it anger people?" asked Gus.
"They're heard to solve…" said Tsuyu.
"I see…" said Gus.
"Though it is a good weapons if you throw it at someone accidentally in anger." Said Kaminari.
Everyone in the room looked at Kaminari.
"Do I want to know?" asked Mina.
Kaminari just laughed, clearly not wanting to talk about it…
That was when the magic learning group entered the house.
"Hey Gus!" called out Luz, "Do you think you can show off some illusion magic?"
"Oh I guess want you see some illusion magic!" said Gus.
He began to show off his skills with magic to the 10 that were going to attend Hexside.
"Hey Luz… why doesn't he know a lot of things about being human?" asked Tsuyu.
"Uh… well… he has a lot to learn." Said Luz, "But I did teach how to Rickroll."
Those who were talking to Gus looked at her in in mostly horror and confusion.
"Why would you do that?" asked Mina in horror.
"I think it's a fun idea." Said Kaminari who was nodding in agreement.
"I know right!" said Luz.
"Don't agree with her!" yelled Mina.
That Night Izuku was on the roof. He was on the phone with his mentor.
His mentor was actually All Might. But it was a secret… a very, very poorly kept secret. Todoroki even accused him of being All Might's secret Love Child at one point.
He had called his mother before this call to reassure her that he was all right.
But now it was telling All Might about everything.
"So you're going to learning magic." Responded All Might.
"Yeah… I already learned two spells… but they can't be used on Earth…" said Izuku, "Just in this world."
"It's all right…" replied All Might, "As long you and the rest of the class is Safe, it's fine…"
"Yeah… I'm just a little worried…" said Izuku.
"About what?" asked All Might.
"Just various things…" said Izuku.
"I don't know… but I get the feeling that we shouldn't be worried on my end…" said All Might.
"Really… why…" said Izuku.
Meanwhile in a bar, a villain by the name of Tomura Shigaraki was ranting.
See his group the League of Villains was planning to attack the camp.
But due to the fact that the camp was canceled he wasn't very happy.
"Why… why did they have to get sucked into a magical world…" muttered Shigaraki, "I mean… just what are the odds…"
The other members of the group just started at him.
"He's been ranting all night…" muttered a man with heavy scaring and piercings .
"He's just jealous…" laughed a girl in a sailor fuku with messy buns in her hair.
"I AM NOT JEALOUS! WHY WOULD I BE JEALOUS THAT THEY GET TO GO TO A MAGICAL FANTASY WORLD!" yelled Shigaraki.
Everyone else in the bar looked at each other…
Shigaraki was a hardcore gamer…
Including fantasy RPGs…
So of course part of it was jealously…
Back with Izuku's phone call.
"Just a feeling…" admitted All might.
"I guess…" said Izuku.
All Might sighed.
"This is going to be very difficult, but I know you can pull through Young Midoriya." Said All Might.
"Yeah…" said Izuku.
"Remember you can call me any time…" said All Might.
"Well if you're not asleep…" said Izuku.
"Ah yes… time zone differences." Said All Might, "Unfortunately adjusting to time zones is harder if you get instantons transportation…"
"I get the feeling there's a story involved." Said Izuku.
"It's a long story." Admitted All Might, "I'll tell you another time…"
"Yeah…" said Izuku, "Though Iida did come up with a good schedule when to call everyone…"
"I should have known…" chuckled All Might.
Izuku laughed, "I should get going, it's getting late over here and I have school tomorrow."
"Night Young Midoriya." Said All Might.
And with that the call ended.
"Hey!" called out Luz who had just arrived on the roof.
Izuku jumped.
"So on the phone with your dad?" asked Luz.
":No… it was my mentor…" said Izuku knowing it was better to be vague.
"Oh that's cool! Is he a wise old mentor… wait! Is he a pro-hero?" asked Luz.
"Well…" said Izuku.
"Well I don't know if he'd be any good…" said Luz, "I mean I you did break your fingers…"
Izuku sighed rubbing his crooked hand.
"Sorry for brining that up." Said Luz.
"It's fine…" said Izuku.
He looked at Luz and knew there was something brothering him .
"I was wondering… how long have you been here?" asked Izuku.
"A couple months…" admitted Luz, "Since the start of Summer…"
Izuku nodded knowing that that made some sense with Luz admitting that she was a fan of Good Witch Azura.
"To learn magic is so awesome, it hasn't been easy… though while I'm here it does make up for my quirk." Said Luz.
"What is your quirk?" asked Izuku.
"Oh you don't want to hear about mine.,.. I mean come your got a super strength quirk…" said Luz.
"Yeah, I didn't learn how to control it until after the Sports Festival… and growing up I couldn't use it at all." Said Izuku.
"Really?" asked Luz .
"Yeah… I was often mocked for it…" said Izuku not wanting to get into the truth about his quirk, "They would mock my dream at being a hero…"
That was when Luz created a tiny ball of light.
"It's called Fairy Lights… I can only create so many before my visions starts to blur…" explained Luz.
"Wait! Can you control where the lights go? Can you control their brightness and intensity? Can you even change their color because if you can you can use to create a code using the lights…" rambled Izuku.
He then realized that he was he doing his quirk ramble and started to blush.
"I'm so sorry… I get excited whenever I see a new quirk… and I know it's creepy I can't help it…" apologized Izuku.
Luz looked at him and giggled.
"Sorry… it's just… I take it people made fun of you because of that?" asked Luz.
"Yeah…" sighed Izuku.
"Hey I get it… I'm not well liked at my school either…" said Luz.
"Why?" asked Izuku hoping that the answer wasn't because of her quirk.
"Just some stunts I pulled… like an incident with live snakes during a book report or dressing up like an otter for the school dance." Said Luz.
Izuku tried his best not laugh.
"Hey you can laugh! I can take it!" said Luz.
Izuku started to laugh.
"Something Eda told on the day we met, "Us weirdos need to stick together…"" said Luz.
Izuku looked at and smiled.
Luz stared at him and squeed.
"I'm sorry but your smile is so precious!" said Luz.
Izuku blushed and covered his face in embarrassment, which only made Luz giggle even more.
Still even with Izuku's embarrassment one thing was clear, the two of them had become friends, and it would be a very close and important to both of them…
Next Time: It's the first day of school for half of Class 1-A while the others get their jobs at the Owl House. At school however someone gets in trouble... big time... who is it? And should they get in trouble? Also someone gets assigned Hooty Duty... who is it? Find out next time!
