A/N: I saw the episode yesterday... what I'm going to incorporate and what I'm not going to... Amity's dad's personality (I like him... okay...) and a joke I won't mention... because it's in the chapter... so you'll what it is when you read it... As well everything to do with Blight Industries... Also some of the stuff involving learning Glyphs... I have to figure out how to incorporate it later.. What I'm not incorporating: The entire explosion plot... I'm planning and upcoming chapter involving Amity bonding with a certain member of Class 1-A however... in this story's AU she doesn't bring the photo with her... that's all I will say... Anyways enjoy the chapter! It's a big arc for sure!
Chapter 6: The Golden Guard
In the emperor's castle, on the wall there were 20 photos… they were divided into three categories "Humans", "More than likely human" and lastly "Humans? Really".
In the humans category were Izuku, Bakugo, Tenya, Ochaco, Todoroki, Yaoyorozu, Jiro, Kirishima, Kaminari, Aoyama, Sero, Sato and Ojiro.
In the "More than likely human" category were Tsuyu and Mineta.
And the "Humans? Really" category were Tokoyami, Koda, Mina, Hagakure and Shoji.
"It was hard finding all 20 of them… 2 of them barely ventured away from the Owl House since they appeared… but I got all 20!" said a figure wearing a white cloak and golden owl mask.
"So 20 humans…" said the man who was indeed Emperor Belos.
"Are you sure about that?" asked the figure in a cloak.
"Yes… trust me… many humans don't look human anymore." Said Emperor Belos.
"I guess…" said the man in a cloak, "So what's the plan?"
"I think it would be best if gained one of the human and brought them to our side." Said Emperor Belos.
"Of course, I have the perfect way to do it too!" said the man in the cloak.
"Very well…" said Emperor Belos.
Meanwhile at the Owl House, Mina was skating using her acid to skate away from a monster. She also had an ear piece.
"Kaminari… if I die I'm going to haunt you for eternity…" growled out Mina.
"You said that five times already!" said Kaminari from the ear piece.
"This was your idea…" said Sero from the ear piece.
"How was I supposed to know this was going to happen…" muttered Kaminari.
"I'm almost there!" said Mina.
The large monster continued to follow her in the darkened hallway.
That was when Kaminari jumped in between Mina and the monster.
He let loose his quirk, which really brightened up the darkened hallway revealing the that monster was a mutated Eda who had transformed into a strange owl hybrid.
Due to the brightness the Eda monster roared.
"Sero!" said Kaminari.
"On it!" called out Sero started to cover Eda with his tape.
"All right! Time to take your medicine!" yelled Mina forcing the Eda monster to drink a yellow elixir.
Outside the Owl House the rest of them were listening to the chaos going on in the house.
After all it was chaos in there.
"You should have told us about the curse." Said Tenya.
"I know… but it was Eda's decision in the end and she had it longer." Sighed Lilith.
"They should have just listened…" muttered Bakugo.
"We're talking about Jamming Whey…" muttered Jiro, "Honestly I'm not surprised this happened sooner."
"You got that right!" said Hooty, "But still time to go school!"
""Does he have to bring it up every time…" said Ochaco .
"I think he just likes talking…" said Luz.
And so the Hexside group headed to school.
When they got there they saw Willow and Gus talking. The two of them noticed the tension.
"Hey is everything all right?" asked Willow.
"Some of our classmates messed with Eda's elixir." Said Yaoyorozu.
"That would do it." Said Gus who's voice was inexpiably deeper.
All of them were surprised by this.
"Yeah… just went through Witch puberty." Said Gus with a shrug.
Those from earth just stared at the younger boy unsure how to response to that.
"So… is Eda okay? I mean it must have been her first transformation since you know…" said Willow.
Before Luz could answer, their phones all beeped.
Turned out it was photos of Eda glaring at the three who looked embarrassed.
"Looks like she's fine." Said Ochaco.
"If not a little angry." Said Yaoyorozu looking at her phone.
"Yeah…" said Jiro.
"They're still idiots though…" muttered Bakugo.
Izuku looked at Luz who seemed down a little.
He knew he didn't know everything about what was going on… but knew he had to be there for his new friend.
Back at the Owl House, of course Eda was still grilling the three of them.
"I told you not to mess with our elixirs." Said Eda, "But did you listen you listen? No…"
"Hey! You could have explained it turns you into a monster if you don't take it…" said Kaminari, "I mean what did you expect a bunch of teens to do when you tell them not to do something?"
Mina and Sero both stared at him.
However Eda looked at him and sighed.
"You know… I hate to say this but I know exactly what you're coming from." Said Eda.
She was a notorious prankster in her school days after all… it made sense that she knew where they were coming from.
"Seriously?" asked Lilith who was watching this.
"Hey! At least they messed with mine and not yours… if they messed with yours I don't know what I would be doing to them…" admitted Eda.
Lilith was about to say something.
"Lilly… I've been dealing with it for years… you've only had the curse for 2 weeks." Muttered Eda.
Lilith sighed knowing she was right.
"By way…" said Eda, "We do need to get more…"
"I'll get it today." Said Lilith, "You two are coming with me…"
Kaminari and Sero knowing it was their jobs to act as bodyguards when the two went out in public.
"Mina… you in turn aren't allowed to leave the house today…" said Lilith, "Also are you planning to call your parents today?"
"No…" said Mina.
"What about you two?" asked Lilith.
"Are you serious?" asked Sero.
Lilith used a magic circle and all three of their phones popped out of their pockets and before they hit the ground were put into forcefields.
Both Mina and Sero glared at Kaminari.
And so they went to the market to buy the elixirs.
"Hey Lilith… so the Elixirs?" he asked.
"Yes." Said Lilith.
Both Sero and Kaminari were just looking around.
There was a lot of propaganda for the Emperor.
Including some old posters with Lilith on them.
They had found out until they incident from the week before they got there, Lilith was leader of the Emperor's Coven, but betrayed them to save Eda.
As they waited for pharmacist, with the they noticed a street cleaner burn down the old Lilith posters.
"Are you serious!" yelled Lilith seeing this.
"Aren't you a traitor?" asked Kaminari.
Lilith scowled.
That was when… suddenly poster of that man in the cloak were magically attached to the wall.
Many more then Lilith.
She scowled at the posters.
"Him…" she muttered.
"You know him?" asked Kaminari.
"He's known as the Golden Guard… he's a teen prodigy who gained the Emperor's Favor." Muttered Lilith glaring at the posters.
"Somebody's jealous…" said Kaminari.
Lilith glared at Kaminari extremely harshly.
Kaminari began to sweat at the glare.
"You have to carry most of them." Said Lilith.
Kaminari sighed at that.
"Can you proved a shield in case I drop them…" sighed Kaminari.
"Fine…" sighed Lilith.
That afternoon after school, they were all walking together including with their friends.
However as they were walking back to the Owl House, both Katsuki and Todoroki were suspicious .
"So you're getting that feeling too." Said Todoroki.
Bakugo just rolled his eye at him not wanting to acknowledge that yeah, he did have a bad feeling.
As they walked…
"So then a bunch of moths ended up flying all around the room so my mom and Emira tried to get rid of them…" said Amity telling them a story that happened the other night.
That was when both Willow and Koda suddenly screamed.
Everyone turned towards them, with Bakugo and Todoroki fearing the worst…
For about a second…
"Sorry… sorry… but a ladybug just flew by us…" said Willow blushing.
She was pointing to said ladybug who was flying away.
"Seriously, what the fuck Tree." Muttered Bakugo.
Willow just ignored Bakugo.
"So you're afraid of bugs too?" asked Koda quietly.
"Just ladybugs…" said Willow.
"I've been working on getting over my fear… after I covered my teacher during the final exams I've been getting over my fear…" said Koda.
"Oh that's good!" said Willow, "Wait what was that about your teacher…"
Before Koda or Jiro could explain some things about their shared final exam, suddenly all 14 of them were bound by red glowing ropes.
"Well… that was easier than I thought." Said a voice.
They looked up and saw the Golden Gaudian.
"Who are you!" yelled Izuku.
"You're a member of the Emperor's Coven! Aren't you!" yelled Luz.
"I am! " said the Golden Gaudian, "And he sent me to retrieve a human…"
"What! Why!" said Luz.
"Hey! I'm just doing my job! And that's what he wants, it's not may place to question him." Said the Golden Guard, "Now which do I choose?"
"None of us." Said Todoroki.
As it turned out there was a physical aspect to the ropes and because of that he was able to burn them away.
He got up and sent out a wave of ice at him.
However the Golden Guard who had a staff was able to fly away.
"Wow… you sure are powerful for a human… but I still have a job to do." Said the Golden Guard.
He made a magic circle that flew towards Todoroki and hit him.
That was when suddenly Todoroki's eyes closed and he to the ground.
"Todoroki!" yelled Yaoyorozu.
"Don't worry! It's just a sleep spell." Said the Golden Guard, "Not a good idea to pick him since he broke out so easily…"
He began to play a little game.
"Eeny, meeny, miny, you…" said the Golden Gaudian who end up picking Izuku.
He grabbed the green haired boy who of course was struggling.
"Well I got what I wanted Bye-ee!" said the Golden Guard who disappeared with Izuku.
"No!" yelled Luz.
"Midoriya!" yelled Tenya.
"Deku!" yelled Ochaco.
"DAMN IT!" yelled Bakugo who finally exploded the ropes away.
However those that were able to get the ropes off were only able to do it now.
As Willow had to go to a nearby plant and channel magic into it to make it sharp and Yaoyorozu was finally able to create a knife to cut the rope trying her.
"Damn it Shitty Hair! You could have busted out too!" muttered Bakugo who realized he should help Tokoyami due to the fact that ropes were giving off light.
"Oh… I didn't think of that…" said Kirishima hiding his skin and ripping through the ropes.
Yaoyorozu cut Jiro free and gave her the knife to cut away Tenya's ropes.
She went to wake up Todoroki.
"Hey…" she said .
He jumped awake.
"What happened!" he realizing what happened.
"They took Deku." Said Ochaco as Kirishima cut her free.
"What…" he said as he caught on fire and created ice in his anger.
"He teleported away." Muttered Amity, "Also can someone please get me next?"
Todoroki sent a small flame her way to burn the ropes.
"He's the new head of the Emperor's Coven." Said Gus as Willow unties him.
"How do you know that!" demanded Bakugo.
"My dad is a news reporter…" said Gus.
"So we have no idea where he was taken." Muttered Todoroki.
"There's someone we need to call." Said Luz.
At the Owl House, Hagakure was watching some cat videos with king.
"Hahah! Those idiots!" laughed King as a cat crashed into a wall chasing a laser pointer.
Hagakure looked at King, one of the pluses to being invisible was King couldn't see the look on her face as she considered what could happen if he encountered one.
That was when her phone rang.
She saw it was Yaoyorozu calling.
"Oh man!" pouted King.
Hagakure picked it up.
"Hey Yaomomo!" said Hagakure, "Is everything okay?"
"Is Lilith there?" asked Yaoyorozu on the other end, "We need to speak to her now!"
"What happened?" asked Hagakure.
"Midoriya was just kidnapped by a member of the Emperor's Coven!" yelled Yaoyorozu.
"What are you serious!" yelled Hagakure .
Thankfully Lilith had returned a while ago, so Hagakure gave her the phone and both ends of the phone was placed on Speaker.
"So it sounds like the Golden Guard…" muttered Lilith.
"Do you think he was taken to the Castle?" asked Luz.
"I don't think to be honest… sometime there are secret locations where certain prisoners are brought to…" said Lilith.
"Wait… the Emperor's Coven has secret locations to bring prisoners…" said Tsuyu.
"And you didn't think that the Emperor was evil?" asked Sato.
"Look that's not important…" said Lilith blushing, "However there is one not too far away from the area between here and the school."
She created the image of a map.
Tsuyu was the one to take the picture with her phone and sent to Jiro.
"If we could only track a GPS signal…" sighed Tenya on the other end.
"This is the best clue we got…" said Luz on their end.
"If he's not there… call us back and I'll give more locations." Said Lilith.
"Okay!" said Luz.
Meanwhile at the secret location…
Izuku was now tied to a chair, he tried to use his quirk, but the ropes while weak to fire and sharp things, they weren't weak to super strength.
"Now, now… please stop struggling… even if you do have weird lightning." Said the Golden Gaurd.
"What do you want with me?" asked Izuku glaring at him.
"You're going to join the Emperor's side… I can't really say coven since you're a human." Said the Golden Guard.
"I would never join him." Growled Izuku.
"Of course you've already heard the various stories about him already… and I get you're already on Luz's side… but what if you knew nothing." Said the Golden Guard.
"What?" asked Izuku.
That was when the Golden Guard took out a pair of tweezers that little teeth.
He then reached into Izuku's ear and pulled out a black piece of paper them.
"What is that?" asked Izuku.
"I guess you haven't had your first photo class yet." Said the Golden Guard hanging the piece of paper, "We can make photographs out of memories here on the Boiling Isles."
He reached it and pulled in another piece of paper.
He knew shouldn't be… but he was in awe.
"That's cool…" said Izuku with a look on his face that said he didn't want to think it's cool at the moment.
"It does sound cool… but there's a huge drawback." Said the Golden Gaudian pulling another out.
Izuku said nothing in response… because he had a really bad feeling.
The Golden Guard pulled out another one.
"If they're destroyed your memories get destroyed with them." Said the Golden Guard.
"No…" whispered Izuku realizing what he was going to do.
"Yeah… if we want a human, it's best to make them pliable and fill their head with ever we want them to know… you know…" said the Golden Guard with a shrug as he pulled out another.
"You're just going to erase my memories!" yelled Izuku.
"Yeah! Nothing personally." Said the golden Gaudian.
He wanted to see the memories before he destroyed them.
He watched as the five pictures developed, one was a very young Izuku playing in the woods with a young Bakugo, the next had him in his middle school uniform crying in front of a very thin almost skeletal man, the next showed him walking away from UA with both Tenya and Ochaco, the next had him fight in the Sports Festival with Todoroki and the last had a very young him in an All Might Onesie playing with his mom.
The Golden Guard looked at the last picture.
"Daw! This one's adorable! You can just feel the love with your mom from the picture!" said the Golden Guard.
"Don't you dare do anything to them!" yelled Izuku.
"Sorry… but I'm under orders…" said the Golden Guard.
Outside…
Jiro had one of her jacks emebded into the wall.
"They're in there!" said Jiro.
"It's fortunate that he didn't choose another location." Said Tenya.
"Are you sure you three want to help?" asked Luz, "I mean I'm already a criminal…"
"Hey! We already helped you back in the Emperor's Castle." Said Gus.
"That's right…" agreed Willow.
"Did that happened before the Grudgby Game or after…" said Amity.
"After…" muttered Luz.
"Ah…" said Amity.
"Let's kick his ass!" yelled Bakugo blowing up the wall.
"Bakugo!" scolded Tenya.
"Like you didn't want to kick down the wall." Muttered Jiro.
Inside, the building they turned to where the wall was blown.
"Kacchan!" said Izuku surprised.
And he saw the others had arrived.
"Oh so you showed up after all!" mocked the Golden Gaudian.
"We're prepared for you this time." Said Todoroki giving him the fiercest glare possible.
"Yeah that might but I have the perfect shield." Said the Golden Gaudian grabbing the memory photos and holding them out in front him of them.
"Pictures?" asked Ochaco confused.
"You think that's a shield!" mocked Bakugo.
"Stop!" yelled Luz grabbing Bakugo before he could do anything.
"What the fuck!" yelled Bakugo.
"Those pictures are Izuku's memories…" said Amity.
"What?" asked Todoroki.
Izuku nodded indicating it was true.
"Even the most minor damage to one of these pictures can cause great damage to his memories…" said the Golden Guard.
"You're disgusting!" yelled Willow.
She knew first-hand what happened when memory photos were destroyed.
"Why are you doing this?" asked Ochaco.
"Belos wants a human…" said the Golden Guard.
"And in order to do that he wants a puppet…" said Tokoyami.
"Hey…" whispered Dark Shadow, "Does his voice sound familiar?"
"Now's not the time…" muttered Tokoyami.
"That's exactly right…" said the Golden Gaurd, "A blank slate we can mold to whatever we want…"
"It sounds like you're going to erase his memories either way." Said Yaoyorozu.
"Oh I guess you do have a point…" sighed the Golden Gaudian.
"Wait what!" cried Izuku.
And with that he set the pictures on fire.
All of them watched in horror as the picture went up in flames as Izuku's eyes came blank.
Ochaco and Tenya noticing that one of the pictures were from their first day of school as they walked to the train station together cementing their new friendship.
Todoroki noticed that one of the pictures was their fight… the moment where Izuku saved him from himself…
And of course Bakugo noticed the picture from their childhood… back when they were friends.
That was when Bakugo started laughing.
"You know you're a fucking idiot!" growled out Bakugo while still laughing, "You just destroyed your own shield!"
The Golden Guard, if they could see his face they would have saw he realized his mistake.
Most of them were beyond angry at the moment.
He could barely react in time to see that Tenya had revved his engine and ran behind him and gave him a harsh kick.
"How dare you destroy my friend's memories." Muttered Tenya.
The Golden Guard could barely dodge, that was when suddenly he was engulfed in flames from Todoroki.
He used a water spell to put out the flames.
However that was when Willow with her eyes glowing green summoned thorny vines to capture him.
"Why is Willow so angry?" asked Koda.
"It's a long story." Saud Amity.
"You should rescue Izuku." Said Luz to the ones that weren't the best in fighting.
Which meant Jiro, Koda and Gus.
Ochaco ran over and delivered a harsh punch to the trapped man.
Luz looked at the Golden Guard.
That was when Amity held out her hand.
Luz knew it what it meant and the two started to dance.
Those from Class 1-A stared at this… until Amity used her legs to create a large magic circle.
It was thanks to this a massive Abomination was created, which Luz stuck a Fire Glyph onto it and they jumped off of it.
The massive abomination that burst into flames smashed right into the Golden Guard.
However after the flames died down, the Golden Guard got up only to get an explosion from Bakugo.
The Golden Guard was barely standing… he summoned his staff, if only so that he could stand after that onslaught.
Tokoyami, Yaoyorozu and Kirishima who hadn't gotten any hits in were ready fight as well… but none of them had a reason to attack him like the others did either because of their friendship to Izuku or because they knew how it felt to have their memories destroyed.
"Okay… I have known that I shouldn't underestimate humans again…" said the Golden Guard, "Good to know… that you have powers other than magic…"
He got many glares from the room.
And he knew it was better to leave.
"Well I guess the is my cue to go!" laughed the Golden Guard who once again teleported away, this time alone due to knowing there was no way he could take
With him gone everyone ran over to Izuku.
Izuku was stared at his hands… like he was high.
"Are those supposed to be that way?" asked Izuku completely out of it starting at his scars.
"He's going to be like that for a while…" said Willow.
"Please tell me there's a way to fix this…" said Ochaco.
"There might be… but it really depends on something…" said Luz.
At the Owl House they were waiting impatiently on any news…
That was when the phone rang, Hagakure answered putting it on Speaker… as it was her phone.
"Please tell us you have news!" yelled Mineta.
"Well I have good news and bad news… Good news! We were able to rescue him!" said Luz.
"No that's not something to eat!" they heard Tenya yell.
"Really?" they heard a slurred Izuku.
"Oh no…" said Eda recognizing what was going on with Izuku.
"The bad news is that his memories were erased…" realized Lilith.
The members of Class 1-A were surprised by this.
"Please… please tell me you can use the spell Lilith!" said Luz.
"Don't worry… I know the spell and I can still use it… bring him back here…" said Lilith.
Back in the hideout (which was the best thing to call it…)
"So there's a way to fix Deku." Muttered Bakugo.
"There is don't worry…" said Luz, "We just have to go inside his mind and manually fix the memories."
"The fuck…" said Bakugo.
The Owl Guard failed in kidnaping Izuku… but he did succeeded erasing his memories…
And what most of them didn't know was that Izuku held secrets… secrets that if they found out about them would change everything…
