As Ren was leaving Shujin, he saw an older student wearing gym clothes trying to push a cart full of soil. "Come on, move," she said, trying to push the cart. As Ren walked up next to her, he pushed the cart, and it moved to its destination.
"Oh, thank you so very much," the lady said. Ren couldn't help but smile and be fascinated by her beauty. "Umm... Have we met before?" she then asked. "It doesn't matter. I'm..." but was immediately cut off by Makoto. "Haru Okurama?"
"My! I guess you figured out my identity," Haru said. "You know what you're doing is dangerous, right?" Makoto then asked. But Haru didn't care. The Phantom Thieves failed to take her request on the phan-site. She believed that they had failed everyone who needed help.
As they part ways for her to continue her gardening, a male voice said, "Just ignore them, although what he said in your father's palace was right. The sole purpose was to help one another." "You're right, Mona-chan. Let's check the phan-site." As Haru checked the site for new requests, she immediately departed for Mementos. Morgana transformed into his van form. "Hey, Mona-chan. Have you ever felt love before? I know it's a stupid question, but..."
As Morgana cut Haru off, "I don't know. Most of the time I've spent with Joker up in the attic. But before that, I was alone. Changing hearts by myself. This was before I met everyone." Morgana answered. "I see. Father got involved in politics and forced an arrangement with my fiancé, but I don't really like him like that. However, there's this nice boy who helped me earlier, but I never got his name." Haru continued as they approached the target.
After changing the target's heart, Morgana and Haru ran into everyone else. As Ryuji tried to be sincere with his apology to Morgana, it backfired in the worst way possible. Everyone chased them around, causing crashes. "Uggg... that hurt. Watch where you're going, beauty thief," Morgana scowled. "Listen to us, all we want to do is talk!" Panther cried out. "Then talk to my tail, Lady Ann," Morgana countered as she recovered and left Mementos. Everyone else followed, deciding to regroup.
After Haru left, she and Morgana found themselves in a back alley. "There you are," a mysterious man grabbed her wrist. "Hey, let her go," Morgana clung to his leg. "What's the, a cat?" As he kicked him away. "Mona-chan!" Haru cried out. "And just where do you think you're going? You stayed out all day and all night. You had both me and your father worried."
Outside the back alley, everyone heard a noise. "It came from that way," Makoto said. As everyone ran up to Haru and the mysterious man, Ann asked, "And just who are you?" "It's just a lovers' triangle. If you can call it that. Now all this can be forgiven if you just come home."
"She doesn't want to go home with you! You! Womanizing asshole!" Ann countered, but Haru felt defeated, "Fine, but your father will hear about this!" As he smacked her to the ground, the man finally walked away. Ren then kneeled down, "Hey, are you alright?" As he took both Morgana and Haru into his embrace.
Ren sensing Haru ready to breakdown, here let's go back to LeBlanc. "Can you stand?" as Haru gently nodded her head. A bruise had begun to form where her fiancée grabbed her wrist. And her cheek redding from being smack to the ground.
"Hey, if you need a friend to talk to, we're all here for you." But Haru still said nothing. "I think she's still shaken up over that encounter," Morgana and Makoto both agreed.
"Ummm… I… I… I never got your name earlier, when you helped me push the cart of soil," Haru finally spoke up, still feeling shaken. "I'm Ren. Of course, you know Morgana, and we have Ryuji," he began introducing everyone. "Ann, Yukiko, Makoto, and Futaba," as introductions were finished. Then, everyone gathered around LeBlanc. Sojiro looked over at Ren and then asked with a smug look, "Another one?" Sojiro then asked. "Hoo-boy, you get more girls than that James Bond guy," Sojiro said sarcastically.
Meanwhile, Ren asked, "Are you hungry by any chance?" As Haru nodded, Ren went and made a plate of curry for her. He set the plate in front of her. "Thank you," she said as she began to eat. "That man, who was he?" Ann asked. "He's my fiancé. My father forced us into an arranged marriage for political gain." She continued to eat.
"Hey, why don't you spend the night here, so we can nurse you back to full strength," Ren suggested. "Is it alright with you, Boss?" Haru asked. "Of course, we have to thank you for returning our cat to us," Sojiro said in response.
Haru finished her plate, and Ren took it away to wash. He then showed her upstairs. "You've been through enough. Why don't you take my bed?" Ren suggested, but she turned him down happily, opting instead for the futon. "Thank you, though, Ren-kun," Haru said. "Hey, Ren-kun," she looked at Ren. He looked at her, wondering what was on her mind. "Never mind. Good night."
As Morgana curled up on top of Ren, she said, "You know, Haru began asking me weird questions. About what love was, but she also mentioned something interesting." The not-cat began, "She did?" Ren asked, looking over at Haru, who was trying to fall asleep. "Here, let me see if there's an extra blanket for her." As Ren got up and took care of his guest.
"Don't worry, Haru, your secret is safe with me," Morgana said. "Thank you, Mona-chan." She began to pet and scratch him. Ren searched his box and found a spare blanket, which he gave to Haru.
"My offer still stands. But are you going to be alright?" Ren then asked. "Thank you, but I'm okay. I just needed a safe place." Haru said as she covered up and went to sleep.
