Chapter 12: Key to the Past
At the library in a hidden room Izuku, Yaoyorozu and Iida all read books. Yes, the one who ran the library knew about the secret room and approve it and gave it to one the employees of the library who let them use it.
The door to the secret room opened and in walked Luz and Amity with books.
"Thank you again for letting us use your secret study room." Said Iida.
"No problem…"said Amity.
"Besides we needed to do this." Said Luz.
Luz took out a key from her pocket.
It was the key to the portal door.
The truth was that she knew about since the begging but has no idea if it could get them home.
"If we can find something about the key then we'll know…" said Luz.
"How did Eda even find the portal?" asked Momo.
"She just found it one day." Said Luz, "So she doesn't know where it came from or who made it."
"Still unless Nezu finds someone with an interdimensional quirk, it's going to be difficult." Said Izuku.
"Would your Principial even be able to find someone like that?" asked Amity.
The four from earth were quiet.
"I've heard things about their Principial…" said Luz.
They're probably just rumors, like the things Tensei told me about…" said Iida.
The other two UA students were quiet, having heard rumors about the Principal themselves.
"You're acting like it's rumored he's going to take over the world or something." Said Amity.
The four from Earth were quiet.
"Why would a principial want to take over the world!" yelled Amity.
"Well from what I heard here the smartest being on the planet… so…" said Luz.
"Why is the smartest being on you're a school principal." Said Amity.
"We don't know… there's rumors…" said Yaoyorozu, "But it's always better not to know what's going on his mind."
"I'm so confused…" said Amity.
"It's okay… we all are…" said Luz.
Meanwhile in the Emperor's castle, the Golden Guard was looking at a book.
It showed the key.
He knew that the Emperor's Plans required the key.
"You know… maybe the human girl knows…" said mused the Golden Guard.
"Wait… which human girl… there's now 7 right now…" said a nearby Coven Member.
"Were you there the whole time?" asked the Golden Guard.
"Yeah… I was…" said the coven member.
The Golden Guard sighed.
"I meant the first one… which should be obvious…" sighed the Golden Guard.
And so he decided to see if Luz was spotted around.
They still hadn't found anything from the books they had gathered so Luz and Izuku went to find new ones.
"How is there a franchise from Earth popular here?" asked Izuku as he grabbed books on his list.
"I've been wondering that myself…" said Luz, "I want to know how Amity saw the second movie but I'm too embarrassed to ask how…"
Before Izuku could ask a question he noticed something behind Luz and pushed her down.
Several a bookshelf was knocked over but thanks Luz and Izuku were fine.
"What just happened?" asked Luz.
"You know I was looking for you because I need some answers." Said a voice.
They looked up and it was the Golden Guard.
Thankfully this wasn't Izuku's first song and dance like this. So he sent a text to his friends for help.
"It's you again…" muttered Luz.
"Yeah… don't worry, it's not like last time I just want to you some questions…" said the Golden Guard.
"So you just burst into the library and decided to fight?" asked Luz.
"I don't think you would be willing to come in for questing.," said the Golden Guard.
He shot off some spells.
Izuku had activated his quirk and managed to doge the spells. He of course grabbed Luz when that happened.
"So that's the power you have…" said the Golden Guard.
Izuku just glared at him.
"Why are you after Luz?" asked Izuku.
"I just want to ask Luz some questions." Said the Golden Guard.
"I'm answering questions form you…" muttered Luz.
"Well. I guess I have to make you." Said the Golden Guard.
He shot off more spells at them.
However that was when suddenly. Iida zoomed in and kicked the Golden Guard.
"He was sent flying but he got up.
"Iida…" said Izuku.
"We saw what was happening. Amity went to tell the other librarians what is going on." Said Iida.
The two breathed a sigh of relief…
Though they really should be worried about causing damage to the library.
Just on principle…
Amity did work there and unless they were understanding they might have to pay for the damages…
"I have to do with a lot of you humans, won't I?" asked the Golden Guard .
"You do." Said Yaoyorozu suddenly attacking him with a metal staff that she created.
He blocked with his magic staff.
"Interesting…" said Golden Guard, "You don't seem to have any abilities like your friends."
"That's where you're wrong." Said Yaoyorozu popping out a little Russian nesting doll.
The Golden Guard pushed her away and picked up the doll.
"Really! You can create little dolls?" he asked.
That was when doll popped open reliving it was some sort of bomb.
"What is this?" he asked.
Then everything exploded in smoke.
"Excellent diversion Yaoyorozu!" said Iida.
"Thanks." Said Yaoyorozu.
All four of them hid at the Golden Guard was distracted by the smoke.
"Where she we go?" asked Luz.
Someone reading nearby.
"Really! Didn't you just see the smoke bomb go off! WE are having a fight! You shouldn't be shushing us!" yelled Luz.
That was when suddenly there was some sort of magical blast hitting them.
"You should have listened them." Mocked the Golden Guard.
The person who was trying to read rolled their eyes grumbling "Stupid people fighting the library… they should fight outside… like normal people." They muttered as they walked away.
"Really?" asked Luz.
Izuku and Yaoyorozu both shrugged at that reaction while Iida just glared at the person walking away.
"Don't worry I don't plan to erase her memories." Said the Golden Guard, "I just want to talk about the key to the door."
All four of them were shocked.
"You mean the portal door?" asked Luz.
"Yes that one…" said the Gold Guard.
"I'm not going to tell you anything about it!" yelled Luz.
"Oh I'm going to make you." Said the Golden Guard.
He pointed his Staff at her which was glowing brightly.
"You're not going to hurt my Luz!" yelled Amity jumping in while creating an Abomination.
Luz looked at Amity, blushing as she swooped into save her.
The three heroes in training looked at this, Iida was confused at Luz's reaction, while Yaoyorozu and Izuku sweat dropped… as both of them knew about Amity's feelings for Luz.
The Golden Guard blasted away the abomination.
"I can do that to your friends Luz the Human… so come quietly or I will…" said Hunter.
"HOW DARE YOU!" yelled a large demonic looking figure appearing behind the Golden Guard.
"Uh-oh…" said the Golden Guard.
Sometime later, the head librarian who was the demonic creature was scolding the Golden Guard, as Amity and the four humans watched.
"Like… I get you that you have a mission from the emperor but that doesn't like mean that you can just attack people in the library…" said the head librarian who wasn't scary to be honest and just looked like a large bird like creature with glowing eyes, "I'm sorry but like I have to ban you for the time being until you can like be trust again…"
"I'm going to get this ban lifted!" said the Golden Guard.
"I will like talk to the emperor… but I like don't see me lifting it anytime soon…" said the head library, "Also I will billing the Emperor's Coben for the damage since you did like instigate it…"
They couldn't see the Golden Guard's face they could tell he was clearly pouting as he left.
"I am so sorry…" said the head librarian.
"It's not your fault Malphas." Said Amity, "It's his for attacking us…"
"It's not the first time he's attacked us." Said Iida.
"That might be but I do like feel responsible… I Weill owe you one library related favor." Said Malphas.
"Oh thanks." Said Luz, "Honestly we can probably use this in the future…"
"Thank you so much…" said Amity.
Her bossed nodded before going back int other library.
It was clear that he was letting Amity having the rest of the day off as well.
Once he was out of ear shot.
"He's after the key for some reason…" sighed Iida.
"Yeah…" said Amity, "But who what kind of stunt he'll pull to get it… Luz you need to protect the key as much as you can from now on…"
"Yeah… totally! What you just said!" said Luz blushing at Amity.
"Luz… are you okay?" asked Iida.
"Fine… I'm totally fine!" said Luz turning around…
And fell down the stairs.
"There's two of them now…" sighed Yaoyorozu.
She did share some classes with Amity after all, so of course she noticed the crush.
Sometime later, the Golden Guard met with the Emperor.
The emperor was face palming.
"So instead of waiting until they came out of the library… you attacked them in the library and you got in trouble with Malphas and were banned from the library for the foreseeable future?"
"Yes…" sighed the Golden Guard.
"Why didn't you just wait until they left the Library?" asked the emperor.
"It seemed like a good idea at the time." Said the Golden Guard.
The Emperor sighed.
"you're not angry with me are you?" asked the Golden Guard.
"No…" said the emperor, "In this case I believe that you acted rashly as you are a teenager… but next time I expect you behave yourself."
"Of course…" said the Golden Guard.
The Golden Guard sighed as he left the chamber and flinched as her heard the Emperor in pain as he left.
"I will find that key.." said the Golden Guard.
Meanwhile at the Owl House…
"So they're also after the key…" said Lilith.
"The hey and human is what they need…" said Yaoyorozu.
"It's a good thing that Amity told her boss about the fight…" said Izuku, "Who knows what could have happened."
"you could have broken something…" said King.
"I stopped doing that after the Sports Festival." Said Izuku blushing.
"Yep! Amity! Totally saved the day this time! It was so awesome that she swooped in!" said Luz .
As Amity was at home she wasn't there to hear where the conversation went…
"Oh really?" asked Mina giving a sly grin, "Amity rescue you…"
"Yes… well…" said Luz.
She looked at her phone.
"Oh look! I missed from my mom! I should call her!" said Luz getting up and leaving.
They all watched her leave.
"Well she's got it bad…" said Eda.
"You got that right…" said Hagakure.
"In two weeks, if neither one confesses I'm locking both of them inside a closet." Said Mina.
"Mina!" scolded Iida, "We shouldn't be locking people into closest!"
"Eh… she got a point…" said Eda shrugged.
"Hey… so that means if they want to get out of the closet they have to come out the closet." Said Kaminari.
"That doesn't really work since I'm pretty sure they're both open about it…" said Lilith.
"Shouldn't we talking about the key…" said Izuku.
"We've moved passed it… it's now to gossip…" said Eda.
"Don't ruin this"! muttered Mina.
The three involved in the fight sighed…
Still they now knew that Belos wanted the key… but they still weren't sure about his plan at the moment… and they knew whatever they were, it was bad…
Next Time: Luz is a mix of depressed and worried about the fact that she had someone impersonating her and she needs some cheering up... Meanwhile Eda and Lilith's mom came for a visit to just visit her daughters... what will happen? Find out next time!
A/N: I came up with a rather interesting nail that changes Gwen's relationship with Lilith... you'll see what it is next chapter but I'm saying it now so no one expects the thing that happens in canon to happen...
