Chapter 49: Déjà Vu
Gaara stood outside, on top of the Kazekage tower, overlooking Sunagakure alongside his siblings. The sun had only begun to set. It hadn't been that hot of a day, but the rapidly cooling breeze, it promised to be an even colder night. Such was the desert… a place of extremes.
"This is a mistake," Kankuro muttered, gazing over the village alongside Gaara. "What Kumo and Konoha are doing… Sending a pair of Jinchuriki here in order to lure out the Akatsuki… it's dangerous. We're asking for the village to be attacked."
"I see," Gaara nodded. "Do you feel the same way, Temari?"
"I do," Temari replied. "But unfortunately there's nothing we can do about it now. The examinee's have already completed their first task. If we call the exams off right now, we'll lose face among the nations and we're already not well looked upon."
"It's better to be viewed badly than to have your village destroyed," Kankuro argued.
Gaara idly watched as his siblings began to debate on what would be best for the village. With the first task complete, the exam would continue tomorrow where the participants would be sent out into the desert.
Kankuro was right in saying that these exams were a major risk to Suna's safety, but if they could get through the night without an attack, that threat would be minimized.
"With our previous attack on Konoha and their lack of retaliation, we owe them a great debt," Gaara cut in. "This will be our way of repaying it."
"Do we?" Kankuro asked. "That attack was a complete failure. We lost three times more Shinobi than Konoha and it was one of their missing-nin, Orochimaru, that orchestrated the entire attack and involved Suna… he even killed fa… the Fourth Kazekage."
It was clear to Gaara and Temari that Kankuro was reaching. Suna was put in a precarious situation and Kankuro was looking for anything he could use to protect the village.
"…I agree that we shouldn't be gambling our villages' safety," Temari said, contemplatively. "But I don't agree with what you're saying, Kankuro. The council and… and our father chose to follow through with Orochimaru's plans. It's true that we were betrayed, but that doesn't make us any less guilty of our own actions."
"If I were to agree with your reasoning, Kankuro," Gaara continued. "Then I would have to admit that Suna was partially responsible for the attack on the summit between Kumo and Konoha, and the Samurai that made the Land of Iron their home. We would share that blame as it was Sasori of the red sand… one of our missing-nin that assisted in the attack."
Kankuro hadn't looked pleased by that, but in the end, he accepted his siblings' logic. The Chunin exams wouldn't be stopped prematurely.
Suna had a lot to make up for… and even more to be thankful for. After the invasion, instead of making demands or threats of a war that Suna would have definitely lost, Konoha pushed for peace. They'd even managed to convince the Daimyo for the Land of Wind to send more funds towards Suna.
If Suna had rejected Konoha and Kumo's proposal… or worse… if they had to go back on it now and betray Konoha once more, they would be stomping on all the goodwill they had received. By accepting, Suna would finally have the chance to make up for their past mistakes.
"You forget that it's not only the safety of a single nation at risk here,'Shukaku's shrilly voice sounded through his mind. "If this Akatsuki group gets what they want, you can kiss this world goodbye… Not that you would live to see the end."
Gaara let out a tired sigh as he briefly closed his eyes. He already knew that, but he couldn't exactly go to Suna's council with this. He was still feared as a terrifying killing machine by many in the village and if he started telling others that he was on the same side as the monster in his head… it wouldn't go over well.
"Awww, why not? You're the Kazekage, aren't you? Whatever you say goes and if they don't listen to you…"Shukaku chuckled ominously. "You're the most important person here… besides me."
He was important, but regardless of that, he wouldn't let it get to his head. He was going to do things the right way instead of ruling through and inspiring fear.
"Fine, we're doing things your way… Don't come crying to me when they don't work,"Shukaku sighed, before pausing."You know what, scratch that. Come crying to me and let me out for a bit… then I'll show you how things are done."
"So long as I am alive, I'll protect this village from whatever threatens it," Gaara announced, crossing his arms. "I am the Fifth Kazekage after all."
"I guess I was worried about nothing," Kankuro sighed, not realizing that Gaara wasn't talking to either of them. "With you around, I'm sure that Sunagakure will be just fine."
Temari let out a small huff and smirked.
"Fine. Be that way,"Shukaku muttered. "I don't even really want to kill your people anyway. So long as we don't lose to that overly smug bastard fox, I'm happy."
The deserts of Suna were incredibly hot and dry during the day. Team 7 already knew to expect that. What they didn't know, however, was just how bright the desert was as well. The only thing they could see was sand… sand which reflected a large amount of the sun's light.
It wasn't an insurmountable obstacle, but it was a nuisance.
Their first exam had gone fairly well with all of them passing without any major issues. Their first night in Suna, however… it could have gone better. All of the food had been ruined and a fight had almost broken out between the numerous competitors.
Now, however, they were facing a whole new issue. They'd completed the second round of the Chunin exams too quickly and successfully retrieved their scroll.
Ordinarily, that wouldn't be a problem, but they were in Suna for a reason beyond becoming Chunin. If they were going to successfully lure the Akatsuki out, they were going to have to spend more time in the desert where an ambush would likely take place.
"I think we should circle around one more time," Sasuke mused. "Fu, fly up and look for any nearby teams."
"You got it," Fu saluted cheerfully before taking off into the sky.
"You don't… really think that we're going to have to fight the Akatsuki by ourselves… Do you?" Sakura asked nervously.
A large part of Sasuke really hoped that the Akatsuki did attack, then he might be able to confront Itachi on what really happened during the Uchiha massacre. He wanted to know just why Itachi took Danzo's mission in the first place and more about the man who had released the Kyuubi and started everything in the first place.
"We are near enough to Suna that if we are ambushed, help won't be too far away," Sasuke reasoned, before pointing to her bandaged arm. "And we've each taken extra measures to ensure we can all get out of this alive. You shouldn't worry so much."
"I know," Sakura sighed. "It's just… What Fu told us about her encounter with that Kakuzu guy freaked me out a little. I talked to Shizune about it at the hospital before we left and she mentioned how it took several five hour long surgeries to make sure all of the threads had been removed from Fu's body."
That was a concern. If that had been done to a regular Shinobi without a healing factor, they would likely be dead, or… at the very least, on a long road to recovery. The Akatsuki wanted to take Fu alive, so they had to be careful not to kill her.
"Everything's going to be fine, Sakura," Sasuke reassured her. "We're ready for this… all of us."
"I hope s…"
"I'm back," Fu called out as she suddenly landed in front of the duo. "I couldn't search everywhere, because there's this really big sand storm heading this way, but I did manage to see a few Suna teams out there… although they're mostly just fighting each other."
"Sandstorm, huh… well, I guess this is the desert," Sakura hummed. "How bad is it?"
"I don't know," Fu said, sheepishly rubbing the back of her head. "I didn't really get that close… But I couldn't see anything inside of it."
"Then we should probably head back now," Sakura muttered. "We don't have any experience with sand storms. If we're caught up in it, it'll be even more difficult to fend off an attack."
Thinking for a moment, Sasuke nodded. "You're right." With a sandstorm heading towards them, there really wasn't much else they could do. "Fu, did you see any Konoha teams nearby?"
"Just Karin's team, but they seemed to be hiding from everyone else," Fu explained.
"Then it would be for the best if we meet up with them on our way back," Sasuke noted.
They were already out of their element as is, but Team 8 would have a much easier time adapting to their environment. At the very least Karin's sensing ability, Kiba's senses and Hinata's Byakugan would come in handy. If there was an ambush waiting for them, they would be prepared for it.
"I didn't think I'd be seeing you again… especially under our current circumstances," Yugito commented.
Currently she was standing outside the walls of Suna alongside the other Jonin Sensei, waiting for the Genin to arrive. The Kazekage stood with his siblings, directly in front of the entrance to Suna, separate from the main group.
"Likewise," Kakashi hummed. "I wasn't aware that you had a Genin team of your own."
"I don't," Yugito replied. "I was chosen as a suitable stand-in for Bee's team. He currently has other duties to attend to in Kumo."
Kakashi nodded idly. From what he'd heard, the Raikage wasn't incredibly fond of sending Bee on missions out of the Land of Lightning… especially since the Demon Island incident.
"Naruto once mentioned that he knew the Kazekage," Yugito said. "I thought that he might be here, but it seems that your Hokage is much like my Raikage and prefers to keep one Jinchuriki in her village at all times."
"Something like that," Kakashi hummed, watching as his team arrived alongside Team 8. "But you know Naruto… If he's needed, a little distance won't get in his way."
A few more teams trickled in, before the sandstorm suddenly engulfed the entrance. Raising his hand, the sand suddenly came to a stop, creating a large air pocket. Passively looking over the gathered Genin, he nodded to himself and stepped forward.
"If I could have your attention," He announced loudly. "Due to the sudden sandstorm, the second phase is coming to a close much sooner than we planned. All those that have managed to complete their task are guaranteed a spot in the third and final phase."
"What about those that didn't get a scroll?"A Kusa Genin at the back asked. "Cutting the exam short is unfair to the rest of us who would have had more time to complete our task."
"Sometimes a mission will change and as a Chunin, you'll have to adjust in order to complete it," Gaara explained. "Those of you who were unable to complete your task in the desert will still have a chance to continue, however you will..."
"Gaara-Sama," Yura interrupted Gaara's speech as he rushed forward, a scroll clenched tightly in his hands. "I have urgent news."
Gaara glanced from the gathered Genin towards Yura.
"You can leave the Genin to me, Gaara," Temari said. "I'll be sure to inform them of what they can expect."
"Thank you," Gaara nodded, before heading off with Yura, Kankuro following closely behind.
"What's this all about?" Kankuro asked as they stopped just out of earshot, right in front of the entrance to Suna.
"There's a plot... The Suna council plans to host a Coup today. A man by the name of Fugi plans to assassinate you during this sandstorm and take control of Suna, becoming the next Kazekage," Yura explained in a hushed whisper, handing Gaara the scroll he had been grasping so tightly. "Fortunately, I was able to steal that from him. From my understanding, it's the instructions for a Jutsu that is capable of starting a sandstorm... and evidence that what I've said is true."
Opening the scroll, Gaara's eyes narrowed as he read its contents. "It appears that this is all true. Kankuro, gather a team of Jonin... those that you trust and..."
"Excuse me for interrupting," Yura apologized. "But there's more in the scroll that I'm sure you'll find interesting."
Opening the scroll further, he immediately attempted to throw it when he caught sight of a seal, only for it to suddenly activate, wrapping him in a prison of water and oil.
"GA..." Kankuro began yelling out Gaara's name, but was silenced when Yura buried a blade in his gut.
Fighting to free himself from his prison, Gaara found that the sand in the surrounding area had been coated in the same water and oil, preventing him from being able to use it properly.
There was a distant strum of a stringed instrument. A purple chain broke through the stone wall and pierced the water prison, stabbing into Gaara's stomach.
"KANKURO! GAARA!" Temari screamed.
Temari charged forward alongside several of the Suna Jonin that had been waiting for their teams. Several more notes were played and all of their shadows suddenly sprung up and wrapped around them, locking them in place.
The sandstorm engulfed the area. There was a loud clicking noise as hundreds of figures stood as one from the sand and slowly creaked their way towards the gathered Shinobi.
"That's not good," Kakashi commented, before he and the rest of the Jonin were forced to jump out of the way as hundreds of Kunai impacted the space where they had been standing.
Landing next to his team, Kakashi straightened his headband and immediately got to work analyzing his surroundings.
Puppets... An entire army made up of hundreds of puppets that blocked off any chance of escape. As time went on more rose from the ground with every second. There were what appeared to be pathways hidden in the ground filled with Chakra that was being siphoned towards them and it didn't look like it could be easily severed.
Puppetry was difficult at the best of times. Whoever was controlling these… even if it was a group, they wouldn't be capable of making the puppets perform complex moves… although it was still an army.
"There appears to be hidden interconnected pathways that are buried in the ground," Kakashi noted. "Find where they lead and you find the person responsible for this. Since you have the Sharingan, Sasuke, it should be easy for you to find their location… take Fu to back you up and be careful. Sakura… unfortunately, your talents are needed here," he said, gesturing to Kankuro who was slowly bleeding out.
Watching from the sidelines, Gai nodded. "Lee, Neji, Tenten. You three can accompany Team 7 on their mission. The rest of us Jonin will hold the line here."
"Actually," Kakashi chimed in. "I would prefer it if you helped them... or helped take down that rogue Jonin. I've still got a few tricks up my sleeve and this army gives me the opportunity to test a technique I've been working on."
"Kakashi, now is not the time to…"
"Trust me," Kakashi interrupted. "I've got this."
Gai stood silently for a single moment before nodding. "Only on the condition that once this is over, we will have a race back to Konoha."
"Whatever you say, Gai…. Now you should all get going. The longer we stall here, the greater the chance of the Kazekage dying," Kakashi hummed.
The group dispersed, leaving Kakashi alone with one other Kunoichi.
"What a strange man… Here we are at the start of a civil war and he's concerned about challenging you once this is all over," Yugito commented.
Kakashi shrugged. "That's just Gai… It's his way of saying that he expects me to survive this."
Stepping to the side, a red cloak of bubbling Chakra coated Yugito as the puppet army slowly advanced. "You better not be all talk, because I don't intend on doing all the work myself."
"You might want to take a few steps back," Kakashi hummed as he formed four Shadow Clones. Each of them cycled through their own seals, before they all stopped as one. "All is Suffering."
All five elements sprayed out across the desert, annihilating a large portion of the approaching army. The wind died down for a moment as Kakashi pushed back against the full force of the desert.
Team 10 moved closer towards the entrance to Suna, where the Kazekage was currently being held. Hearing the strum on the instrument, Asuma stopped mid step, his shadow shot out of the ground and attempted to wrap itself around him, only to fade as he disappeared and a log appeared in his place.
"It seems that we're just outside of this technique's range," Asuma commented. "What do you make of it, Shikamaru?"
Narrowing his eyes, Shikamaru glanced towards the Suna Jonin that were currently bound by their shadows before looking to the log that laid in front of them, unbound.
"It's a long range technique that uses shadow to bind a person, preventing them from being able to move," Shikamaru said, repeating what they already knew. "The instrument sounds first, before the technique is used and it seems to be localized solely to the target's shadow."
"That's great and all, but how exactly does that help us?" Ino asked in a hissed whisper.
"It means that there's less risk for me attempting to undo this technique using my own shadow," Shikamaru sighed tiredly.
"Oh," Ino muttered softly.
Crouching down, Shikamaru placed his hands together and his shadow rapidly expanded, before breaking off into several different tendrils that connected with the bound Suna Jonin and began undoing their bindings.
The sound of the instrument being strummed sounded through the entrance as the shadows fought against Shikamaru's tampering. Sweat dripped down his head as he strained to gain control over them.
Slowly cycling through several hand seals, Shikamaru's shadow temporarily separated from the downed Jonin, before they shot up out of the ground, piercing the binding shadows. With one last grunt of effort, he managed to tear the bindings off, before he slumped forward in exhaustion.
Taking a cautious step forward, Asuma saw that their enemy was no longer attempting to bind them with their own shadow. Likely due to it being useless now that Shikamaru had proven he could undo it.
"Good work, Shikamaru," Asuma congratulated him. "I'm going to help handle this situation. The three of you can follow afterwards. I want you to secure the area around the Kazekage."
"Yeah, sure," Shikamaru waved him off tiredly. "Hurry up and help end this Coup so we can all go home and get some rest."
"Cheeky brat," Asuma smirked before rushing off.
Stopping next to the trapped Kazekage, Asuma briefly took in his surroundings as Kurenai stood next to him. Gaara was still alive for now, but he likely only had a few short minutes of breath left… if the chain didn't end up killing him first.
Temari was currently tending to her brother's wound… There was something strange, however. Besides the Kazekage's brother, no one else was injured… despite the fact that the attacker, Yura, had the perfect opportunity to kill all of them. It was strange, he just stood there, watching them with empty eyes as Kankuro's blood dripped from his sleeve.
Yura stepped back, before he suddenly turned around and bolted down the passageway.
"After him!" One of the Suna Jonin roared before they all exploded into motion.
Chasing Yura alongside the rest of the Jonin, Asuma felt on edge when Yura came to a stop a little over halfway down the entrance.
"Come quietly, Yura," One of the Suna Jonin urged. "This doesn't need to end in your death."
"What makes you think that I'm the only one that's going to die today?" Yura asked, before clapping his hands together.
The ground shook as the walls near the entrance and exit of Suna suddenly exploded, pouring a large amount of sand and debris into the passageway, trapping the Jonin.
Ordinarily, such a trick wouldn't work on Shinobi, but Asuma could see that this attack had been planned days, if not weeks in advance. There were likely booby traps which would make it much more difficult to navigate the debris.
"Now," Yura said, removing a pair of Kunai that hummed with Wind Style Chakra. "Let's begin."
"Damnit," Asuma cursed. They'd fallen into his trap and were now effectively cut off from the Kazekage and, more importantly, their students.
All they could do now was hope that their students would be alright and take Yura down as fast as possible.
There were many things that were required in order for someone to become a medical Shinobi. One needed to have great understanding of the human body, near perfect control of their Chakra and the ability to work under pressure.
The first two traits came easily to Sakura. The third one, however… The third one had to be earned through time and effort.
When the explosion shook the passageway, Sakura paused and took a breath before she continued to heal Kankuro. If it had been a year earlier, she likely would have ended up flinching, which may have resulted in Kankuro's death.
There was a loud crack as a chunk of the wall broke off, falling directly towards them. Temari prepared to blast it away with her fan, but stopped when an enlarged hand swatted it out of the way, before shrinking back down.
Looking over, Temari caught sight of Team 10 standing to the side, with Choji wiping the dust off his hands, looking nervous.
Team 8 was also hard at work, figuring out how to free Gaara from his water prison. She would have preferred if a more experienced team was here to help with that, but this was currently the best that was available.
"Damnit," Temari cursed as a large part of the walls caved in, blocking off the entrance to Suna. Turning back to her brothers, her scowl morphed into a look of concern. "Is he going to be alright?"
"He's lost a lot of blood and his stomach was pierced…" Sakura trailed off. "But he'll survive… although I'm only able to do so much here. He's going to need surgery after this. I'm keeping him unconscious so he doesn't aggravate his wounds."
Temari let out a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness." Now all they had to do was…
"Got it," Karin announced.
Karin pressed the seal to the water prison and the fluids were swiftly sucked up, dropping Gaara to the floor. Taking several deep breaths, Gaara winced in pain as the purple Chakra chain continued to retract, slowly ripping Shukaku out of his body.
"Gaara," Temari called out as she rushed to his side, before turning towards Karin. "We need to disconnect him from this chain."
"Already working on that," Karin muttered, pulling out a blank sealing tag. "Hinata, do me a favor, use your Byakugan and tell me exactly how that chain is interacting with his body."
"Alright," Hinata nodded. "I'll try."
The sound of wood rattling echoed through the entrance. A half burnt puppet dashed forward, moving in a more complex manner, it vaulted over Team 10. It flicked a long blade out of its wrist and raced towards Sakura and Kankuro.
Rushing to defend the duo, Temari could only watch in horror as the puppet neared her wounded brother and the Konoha Shinobi that was currently saving his life. None of Team 10's techniques would reach it in time and her own Wind Style Jutsu was too destructive, it would likely end up hitting Kankuro.
Bringing its arm down to cut through the duo in one swift move, there was a loud clang as the puppets blade was stopped by a Katana crackling with Lightning Style Chakra. Disengaging, the puppet was suddenly cut into several pieces.
"To kill the medical Shinobi first isn't an uncommon strategy," A blonde Kumo Kunoichi commented as she walked towards the group followed by another dark skinned Kunoichi.
"Thanks for the help," Sakura hummed, slipping the Kunai she had been holding back into its sheath.
Placing a lollipop in his mouth, Omoi smiled. "No problem."
The wind rushed past Fu as she flew through the air, although she was forced to go a little slower than her usual speed due to the harsh wind high up in the air and the number of passengers she was carrying.
"Down there... to your right," Neji called out, yelling over the wind. "There's a man down there, that's where the Kazekage's Chakra is being siphoned to... but part of it is being sent off into the village."
Landing on top of the wall surrounding Suna, the group came face to face with a bald Shinobi dressed as a monk. He sat on the ground behind a barrier, casually strumming a Biwa.
Sasuke's Sharingan blazed as he observed the flow of Chakra. It was just as Neji had said, this man was the one that was attempting to remove the Kazekage's Biju. If they interrupted him, Gaara would be freed.
There was however the case of where the Chakra was being sent. Someone else was involved in this attack.
"Tenten," Gai nodded towards the man dressed as a monk.
Grabbing a handful of Shuriken, Tenten threw them towards the monk, intending on testing the barrier only for them to be deflected by a man with long black hair.
"That's as far as you go," The man said. "This is a matter concerning Sunagakure. Outsiders are not welcome."
"Yeah, well, you kinda involved us when you used a friggin puppet army to attack us during the Chunin exams," Tenten sniped back.
The man stood stone faced, refusing to respond.
"Someone else is behind this," Sasuke muttered. "Gai, can you handle things here while Fu and I find the culprit?"
Gai grinned and gave a thumbs up. "You can rest assured that we are more than capable of handling these two."
Fu grabbed onto Sasuke and the duo quickly disappeared into the sky while Gai prevented the dark haired man from interfering, leaving the rest of his team to handle the monk like Shinobi.
"I don't believe that I have ever fought against a barrier before," Lee hummed excitedly. "This will be a first for me. I wonder how we will take it down."
Tenten sighed to herself, thinking that Lee could stand to take things a little more seriously, they were trying to save the Kazekage's life after all... but that was a good question, how did you take down a barrier? You couldn't just break it with brute force... Could you?
Finding where all the Chakra filtered to hadn't been especially difficult. The more they followed the stream of Chakra, the more pronounced it became until it finally stopped, connecting to a large building nearest the wall, right on the edge of Suna.
The building practically glowed with the amount of Chakra that was being funneled through it.
Landing, the duo cautiously made their way inside of the building. It was fairly empty inside. There were several sets of tables and cupboards, but everything was empty. Walking down a hallway, they suddenly came to a stop as they heard a deep sigh.
"So useless... even with an entire army of puppets helping them, Fugi and Hoichi still failed to stop the two of you," A deep voice hummed through the building.
The wall besides them suddenly shattered as a large bladed arm burst through it before slicing through a large portion of the building.
Dodging the falling debris, the building crumbled around them, allowing both Fu and Sasuke to see that a large puppet sat at the center of the now ruined building, part of the roof having collapsed on it, failing to cause any damage.
Holding her hand out in front of herself, a spiraling ball of Chakra slowly began to take form. "Meet you in the middle?" Fu asked, grinning excitedly.
"Fine," Sasuke sighed.
Lightning sparked to life in his hand and the duo suddenly separated. Rushing around the massive puppet, each took a side to cause damage. Sasuke cut his way through the puppets' wooden arms while Fu simply shattered them.
Stopping behind the puppet, Fu and Sasuke met up, letting their techniques fizzle out.
A deep chuckle sounded through the ruined building as the damaged pieces of the puppet began to repair itself.
"So long as I have Chakra, I'll be able to repair my puppet and there's no risk of me running out anytime soon," The puppeteer boasted. The sound of wood groaned loudly as the puppet formed a fist. "Good as new."
With his Sharingan, Sasuke was able to see that what the puppeteer had said was true. He wouldn't be running out of Chakra anytime soon as a portion of Gaara's and the Ichibi's Chakra was being funneled directly to him, before a much smaller portion went out to animate the puppet army just outside of Suna's walls.
Flashing through hand seals, Sasuke exhaled a stream of fire which was quickly joined by a separate stream of wind. Meeting together, the two techniques combined into a massive firestorm that engulfed the puppets' entire body.
Letting the technique die down, the puppet's body was revealed once more. Large chunks of its wooden body had been completely removed and the metal portions had turned red hot.
"You think you can beat me with a little fire?! I..." The puppeteer growled, only to freeze as a massive wave of potent Chakra washed over Suna. "What... is that?!"
Taking advantage of the distraction, Sasuke flicked his hand as a Chidori sparked to life in it, sending several Chidori Senbon that pierced through the puppets body.
"Did you really think you could hit my body with tha..." The puppeteer began, only for the puppet to shudder before being dragged to the floor. "Wh... What have you done?"
"I reversed the flow of your Chakra... you're giving it all back, without delay," Sasuke said, smirking. "Every technique has a weakness, no one is invincible."
Like an elastic band that had been stretched to its limits and suddenly released, the massive puppet and puppeteer were instantly dragged down into the ground into the reinforced Chakra conductive tube that had been buried under the ground.
"Man, that guy really liked to gloat a lot," Fu hummed as she peered down the small hole he'd been dragged through. "And what's with Naruto using so much of Kura... The Kyuubi's Chakra?"
Sasuke turned towards the massive source of Chakra, a full nation away that he was still feeling despite not being a sensor.
Naruto should have been here a while ago. If he was using this much of the Kyuubi's chakra, then something must have either pissed him off enough or forced him to fight with his full strength.
That's chapter 49.
A lot of different pov's with this chapter. A few of Suna's shinobi attempted a coup, Yura was somehow brought in to the mix, a movie character made an appearance and everyone got to show off a little... Some more than others.
Anyways, I'm up to chapter 56 on the spooky P word website,

I go by the name of ThatKircguy. Just copy the name and paste it in the Patty Rio On search bar. It'd help me out immensely, but don't worry if that's not your style. I will be uploading weekly, so it's not going to be stuck there permanently.
Also, I post my original stuff there as well. It's nothing much, just two short stories for now, but I'll post more as I write them.
The next chapter will be posted on the 6th of December
See you all then dudes and dudettes.
Have a great day everyone.
