PinesQuest 2D Novelization

After Nova Starlyght decided not to finish their amazing fan game, I decided to take what they posted and make a fanfic. When the Pines family gets trapped with old friends and foes in a hostile Gravity Falls by an unknown being, they have to work together to find a way out. Who trapped them? Why did they do it? And why do they care about Bill Cipher, of all people?

Pinesquest 2 is a fan game made by NovaStarlight. It was a passion project that I was not involved in beyond downloading the free game and playing it for fun. Nova decided not to continue it due to RL issues but posted all their notes on how they wanted the story to go. I decided to use these notes to try to publish the story in fanfic format.

I will try to adhere to the dialogue and events as much as possible, but some things will change. For example, Dipper and Mable will reach some conclusions faster here than in the game, and some mechanics will be explained and noted.

Additional disclaimer: I am a fan of Wendip and Mabcifica, so the story will be slightly adjusted to show that. Mabcifica will be more prominent than Wendip, though. I'm a "give them 5-10 years before romance starts" person. If this is a deal breaker for you, this is your warning.

I will be attempting to post one chapter a week on Friday, with each chapter being at least 2k words long as part of my new year's resolution.
