F3: Welcome everyone to the start of my Volume 6 of RWBY. Last time the attack of Haven happened in which it was saved by everyone and their efforts. RWBY is property of Rooster Teeth. OC characters that were to appear will be given credited to the author(s). With that said Let's Dive In.
Volume 6-1: Destination and New Mission.
The sun was bright and the winds were calm and the people of Mistral were buzzing about their even after the attack of Haven Academy two weeks ago. But most importantly everything seemed right in the world again as their was much activity happening in the Mistral train station.
"Oh my gosh! Look at all this!" A cheerful voice squealed looking at all the vendors that were in the station.
This cheerful voice belonged to none other than Ruby Rose. Now sixteen years old her hair has slightly grown to her neck with her bangs swept back. She has also gone through a wardrobe change as she now wears a black and red line lace up corset with four buckles hanging loose over a mesh sleeveless top over a white low cut long sleeved blouse. She also wears a black chokers around her neck. She now wears a red pleated skirt that is split at the side with a small brown belted strap across the gap and bright red shorts under it. On both arms are black bracers with large brown buckled straps around her wrists with black fingerless gloves.
She still wears her signature red cloak around her neck with a metal magnet strap for her weapon. She also wears black, thigh-high steel-toed boots with red soles and heels.
"There is so much stuff here!" Ruby cheered looking through the vendors.
"Ruby don't wonder off now." Summers voice called out getting her daughters attention. She now wears a black tank top and pants that her right side is covered by her white cloak. On the cloak is a silver rose pendent. She also wears dark brown tights with high knee length boots with gray lacing. On her left side is the holster for her weapon.
"Sorry mom. It's just never really had the chance to explore the train station before." Ruby replied.
"I know just be careful." Summer added.
"I will but we're suppose to be meeting the others here. Too bad Mercury or Emerald couldn't join us." Ruby said.
"They chose to stay Ruby and if that was their choice then we can't decide for them." Summer replied.
"Getting ahead of yourself Rubes." Yangs voice said coming from behind Summer.
Yang now wears a yellow minidress over a black turtle-neck sweater with a fleece lined bomber jacket with her symbol on the left pocket. She wears blue jeans with knee length boots under them. Around her neck is her purple bandana and she also carries a pouch for additional ammo for her weapons. Her hair now grew to about her shoulders but now kept in a low ponytail.
Raven was also walking behind her still wearing the same outfit she wore during the battle at Haven but she is carrying a bag that contains the relic that was obtained from the vault.
"Got some stuff for us so we can wait on the others." Yang said passing Ruby and Summer a drink.
"So when did they say they'll be here?" Raven questioned.
"Jaune, Nora, and Velvet should be here any time. Weiss, Adam, Blake and Cardin should've arrived before the week ended so they're probably somewhere. Stars team along with Neo and May should be meeting up with us." Oscar replied.
"Sun headed back to Vacuo. Blake's family returned to Menagerie and from what Pepper said in her last text Reika is staying in Sumire. There's still going to be plenty of us for when we go to Atlas. Though probably Weiss is not going to be happy to hear that." Ruby said.
"Happy about what?" Weiss voice spoke out surprising the four of them. Behind them they saw Weiss, Adam, Blake and Cardin walking toward them with Weiss carrying a small bag.
Weiss still wore the same outfit that she wore during the battle at Haven but this time on her ears she was wearing the earrings her mother gave her. Adam and the others also still wore the same outfits.
"Hey Weiss. How was Menergie?" Yang asked.
"It was great. And we even have some news. Thanks to the efforts that was displayed at Haven the Mistral council is willing to send people to Menagerie to help expand the territory. They are even willing to open a trade route with Menergie as well." Weiss added.
"That's fantastic. That is a big step for Menagerie and the faunus alike. How'd you make that happen anyway?" Ruby asked.
"Actually you can thank Cardin's father for that. He holds a seat on the Mistral council. After explaining what's been going in Menagerie and the benefits that would come with helping his father jumped at the chance and the rest of the council agreed." Blake added.
"Wow. Didn't think you had it in yah bud. Nice job." Yang said commenting Cardin.
"Well after seeing Menagerie for the first and seeing the state it was in I thought it was best for me to lend a helping hand. Though it took a lot to convince Blakes father to agree. I thought he was going to snap me in half after I suggested it." Cardin shivered slighty as Blake sweetdropped.
"Sorry about him." She apologized.
"So what happens now?" Summer asked.
"My father is going to personally fly to Menagerie to speak with Ghira about where to begin in the expanding process since her father knows the land better than anyone." Cardin added.
"This is only just the first step of both humans and faunus working together. I hope things go well." Adam said.
"Right now we're just waiting on everyone else. There's already a lot of us here." Oscar said.
"Don't worry I brought plenty of snacks for us to wait." Yang said passing out snacks for everyone.
"Got some for us." Jaunes voice said.
"Yeah save a few for us." Stars voice added in.
They turned to see eight figures coming towards them as Star and her group showed up along with Jaune and his group.
They all mostly wore the same outfits during the Haven attack but Star and Velvet had a change in outfit. Star now wears a black and white turtleneck shirt along with a dark blue jacket with black belts on each side along with dark blue short shorts allowing her tail movement with black leggings with black and white sneakers with blue trim. Around her neck is a compass and on her wrist is a bracelet. On her back is a pair of long holsters for her weapons.
For Velvet she now wears a dark suit with long sleeved clothes around her neck that exposes her stomach, a pair of dark gloves, shorts with a pair of stockings and a pair of shoes. On her left hip is her camera that she keeps stowed away but she now also carries a short sword on her right hip.
"Hey Star you all made it. Guess we're all here now." Ruby said as Weiss went up and gave her half sister a hug.
"Good to see you sis." Weiss replied.
"Yeah. You too." Star said before separating.
"Hey Jauney boy. Looking good their man." Cardin said as the two fist pumped each other.
"Thanks. Though you look good yourself." Jaune added.
"Alright everyone. Sit tight while I get us some tickets for the train." Summer replied as she and Raven headed toward the reception desk. However Pepper was rather nervous about it.
"Do we have to take the train again? It's so uncomfortable and... tight." Pepper said nervously.
"Don't worry. I'll ride beside you the whole time if it makes you feel any better." Weiss said comforting her friend.
"T-Thanks." She added her tail swaying slightly.
While the two adults went to go get tickets for everyone the rest hung back and waited.
"So Weiss you and Adam seem to be close. Like super close. How's that working out for you?" Yang asked.
"Well it's been going great. I will admit though he does have some rough edges but that doesn't mean he can't be a gentlemen if that's what you're wondering." Weiss answered.
"Never said he can't be but doesn't mean I don't worry for you. You're my partner afterall and even if you have a boyfriend that's not going to change." Yang said before glancing toward Weiss's prosthetic.
"I appreciate that you want to look out for me Yang. I really do. That's one of your deeming qualities that I like about you." Weiss added as she place her prosthetic hand on her shoulder.
"You're the rock of our team. That's not going to change." Weiss said as Yang lightly smiled at that.
Blake and Ruby were catching up with what's been going on in the past two weeks as Ruby was just happy that she was reunited with her mother after so long being gone which made Blake just as happy seeing her girlfriend happy too.
"Honestly Blake I wanted to see what Menagerie was like. You're parents are really nice." Ruby said.
"I know but you spending time with your mother was what you need and I wasn't going to get in the way of that. Besides you look a lot happier now that she's back." Blake replied.
"You're right but that doesn't mean I can't forget you any less." Ruby added making Blake slightly blush.
Meanwhile Iona was going checking over her weapons making sure everything was working perfectly cause she still had a goal in mind and that was to find Coco and finish what she had started back at the academy. However she was so focused she didn't even noticed Star behind her or her asking a question.
"Hey Iona. You alright?" Star asked getting her attention.
"Huh? Did you say something?" Iona questioned.
"I was asking if you were hungry though you looked like you zoned out for a moment. You okay?" Star asked.
"Yeah. I'm fine. Not very hungry right now." Iona said as she holstered her weapons.
"Just having a lot on my mind recently." She added.
"Well... you know you can talk to me and Pepper if you want." Star said.
"I know that it's just... something I have to deal with." Iona added before walking off to sit on a bench nearby. However Star couldn't help but worry about her teammate as she knew their was something on her mind but she wanted to deal with it herself.
Minutes later Raven and Summer returned with tickets in their hands for all of them as she started passing them out.
"Alright everyone. You all have your tickets so make sure you don't lose them or you'll be stuck here." Summer replied.
Everyone got their tickets but they all noticed something on the tickets.
"Um... Miss Rose it would appear that most of us aren't in the same train car." Oscar replied.
"You're lucky that we're on the same train. While we might be in different parts of the train we're still going to the same destination. That was the only way we could get everyone on the train at the same time." Summer replied.
"Plus having a few huntresses on board will ease the peoples mind knowing that we're on the train as well." Raven explained.
The intercom suddenly buzzed to life.
"Attention. The train departing for Argus will be boarding in ten minutes. Please make your way to the loading deck." The lady on the intercom stated.
"That's our cue." May stated as the group of sixteen headed toward the train station. Like what Summer said earlier they were separated into different sections of the train. In front Cardin, Velvet, May, and Jaune were in the front car. In the second car of the train were Raven, Nora, Neo, and Oscar. The third car had Weiss, Pepper, Adam, and Yang. While Blake, Ruby, Star, Iona and Summer make up the last group in the car in the back.
They're bags were secured as the train hissed to life as it was about to leave the station.
"Now departing. Destination Argus." The intercom stated as the train started to pull out of the station as began speeding off toward Argus.

The train rattled on heading toward its destination with great speed as the other passengers were enjoying themselves. In the third car Weiss sat with Pepper making sure that she doesn't freak out of being in enclosed spaces.
"It's alright Pepper we'll be their in a few hours." Weiss replied as Pepper's knees trembled a little trying to keep her composure.
While in the back of the train car Star was looking out the window watching the scenary zoom by as now snow was falling. Though there was still something on her mind that was bothering her or more like it was something she was trying to get over. She dug into her back pocket and brought out her locket and opened it showing the picture of herself, Mercury, Emerald and Cinder all with smiles on their faces.
She gently rubbed her thumb over Cinder's picture remembering all the good times she and Cinder spent together before Beacon fell. She wasn't sure what exactly happened at Beacon but when she arrived in Vacou she found out that Cinder was dead and her teammates were scattered and she was alone.
"Hey Star. You okay?" Ruby asked as she was standing next to her.
Star looked at Ruby as their eyes met before she looked back at her locket.
"Hey Ruby. What exactly happened at Beacon?" Star asked which made Ruby flinch slightly in hesitation. She then sat down next to Star as she tried to figure out where to start from. Next thing she knew she was talking.
"We... were getting everyone evacuated from Amity and heading toward the city to take care of the grimm and getting people to the docks. Pepper, Weiss, and Yang went toward the eastern part of Beacon while me, Blake, and Iona headed toward the main entrance. We got a call from Jaune saying the both Pyrrha and Cinder went to go fight whoever was causing this, Coco most likely, but we got stopped by Yatsu and Fox." Ruby started her voice hitched a moment.
"Blake and Iona stayed behind to slow them down while I got to top but when I got their... I saw Cinder dead and Pyrrha... thrown from the roof. I was just so overwhelmed I didn't know what to do but then some light blinded me and next thing I know everything went black. When I woke up a few days have past and I found out that Pyrrha was dead." Ruby said holding back her tears.
Star got up from her seat "I guess we never really had a chance to talk things out about what happened at Beacon with everything else going on and trying to keep ourselves together. Things just happen so quickly that everything else took a back seat." Star replied.
Ruby wiped away the tears in her eyes as she composed herself before speaking again.
"Yeah... I wish we could've done something more to help them." Ruby said.
"We couldn't have Ruby. Just like we couldn't have known that there was going to be an attack on Beacon. Many people died that day and they'll be remembered. Many of them were students from other schools that protected people to make sure they escaped the carnage. Its hard for us to accept it but if they were here right now they'd tell to move forward even without them." Star stated placing a hand on Ruby's shoulder.
"As long as we have one another we'll keep moving foward." She added.
"They both died a huntress death. There memories will live on in us as long as we remember them." She finished as it made Ruby smile a little.
"So um back at Haven you and Weiss were talking about something really important. What was it?" Ruby asked.
"Well..." Star started as she rubbed the back of head nervously.
"During my time in Vacou I discovered something that I wasn't expecting. Turns out... I'm a Schnee." Star replied
Ruby stared at her wide eyed at this before she spoke "You're... then does that mean you and Weiss are like sisters." Ruby said cheerfully.
"Actually step sisters. Same bastard father, just different mothers. And now I know that my mother is in Atlas and I'm going to get her away from Jacque once and for all." Star added now more motivated than ever.
"It shouldn't be much longer till we get to Argus. After that we'll be on our way to Atlas. Plus I want to give that guy a good slap after what he's done to Weiss." Ruby added.
"By my calculations we'll arrive in Argus in exactly 1 hour." Penny said through Ruby's scroll.
"Thanks Penny." Ruby thanked.
Summer looked back to her daughter almost like she was seeing a bit of herself in her daughter. So full of life and promise and yet still unaware of the dangers that were out their. The only thing that she fears is that watching her daughter fight for her life and her unable to do anything to help stop it.
"You alright Summer?" Blake asked nexted to her readying a book as Summer glanced back to the cat faunus next to her.
The two stared at each other for a moment with silver pouring into golden yellow.
"I'd be lying and saying that I'm okay. But I can't help but be worried for Ruby. She deserves to live a life full of joy and not having to do things that we do." Summer said.
"Sometimes life doesn't workout the way that you want it. From only the short time I've known Ruby she wants to be a huntress. Not just slaying monsters and killing grimm but helping people whenever they need it. She wants to leave her mark on the world around her and inspire others to do the same." Blake started.
"I... was a coward. I ran away from the White Fang because of their actions and made my way into Beacon academy. When I first met Ruby I thought she was just a child with some idiotic dream. But the more I got to be around her... the more I figured to believe in it too. Maybe we can make this world better if we put in the work and the effort to make it so." Blake said.
Summer gave her a small smirk "You know... not a lot of people think like that anymore." She added.
"Yeah. Guess not." Blake said returning with a smile.
"Blake. There is something I want you to do for me." Summer started.
"Yeah. What is it?" Blake asked.
"If anything were to happen to me... I want to you look after my daughter. Be their for her at her worst. Nuture her. Can you do that for me?" Summer questioned.
Blake paused a moment almost like she was understanding what Summer meant as she responded with a nod.
"I promise." She said in which made Summer smile at this as the train rattled on toward its destination.
However just outside the snow was falling and the winds were blowing as above the cliff watching the train come by were a grimm like they were waiting for the train to come so they could ambush it but their was something on the train, something ancient and they would obtain it without fail. The lead grimm, who was a large sphinx with having wings on its back and a sharp tail and a four crested bone mask to make more intimidating.
It let out a sharp roar as the beowolfs near it prepared to strike on the unsuspecting train.
In the second train car Raven was unnervered as she looked at her side at the relic she was holding onto. However she couldn't help but look toward Oscar who housed Ozpins soul having a conversation with Nora while Neo next to her was laying her head on her arm to rest. Raven though she wasn't sure if Ozpin was telling them the whole truth about Salem. Sure her first encounter with her still etched in her mind but she couldn't help but wonder if she could be defeated.
And she must know that Summer feels the same thing as she looked out the window. However she saw something on the cliffs catching the glimpse of a grimm and it was following them. She immediately got up from her seat getting Neo's attention from her interrupted rest and quickly walked toward the last car passing the third car.
"Something up mom?" Yang asked.
"Get to the first car and tell the others we got grimm." Raven ordered and she immediately headed to the first car as Weiss, Pepper, and Adam readied themselves.
Before she got to the last car an alarm suddenly blared to life.
"All huntsmen and huntresses! Grimm are approaching! Repeat grimm are approaching!" The intercom shouted as the passengers started to worry.
"That's our cue." Summer said as the four of them readied themselves as they made went toward the exit of the train. Immediately the snow and wind bit into their faces as they climbed up the service ladder to the top of the train.
"I advise extreme caution. Fighting here will be difficult. I recommend mid to long distance attacks." Penny suggested.
"Guys we need anyone that can fight from a distance! May, Nora, Weiss with me!" Ruby called out as they quickly joined her.
"Everyone else defensive formation! Nothing gets to the passengers!" Raven ordered as they all lined up along the top of the train waiting for the grimm.
"May how many grimm we got?" Weiss asked as May lifted up her beanie from her left eye as it activated scanning ahead. Suddenly ten blips appeared on her radar and two of them were showing massive energy readings.
"We got ten grimm and two of them are big ones. Most likely alphas." May informed covering her eye up again readying her rifle. Ruby shifted Thorn Gear into its scythe mode as they prepared to fight the grimm.

Meanwhile in the forest outside Mistral a woman was going about her day gathering herbs for medicine and such. She was about complete with her task when she heard a twig snap from her left as she looked in that direction. Then she heard shuffling like someone was dragging their feet and then a figure came into view. It was a woman and her clothes were tattered only barely keeping her covered from the elements. Her brown hair was soaked and it looked like she had been in a fight with grimm or something. Coco had lived.
The woman went over to the other woman to try and help her.
"Ma'am are you alri-" Before she could asked the other woman grabbed her by the collar of her uniform and glared at her.
"I need your spare clothes and directions to Wind Path. NOW!" Coco shouted angrily.
The other woman was completely frightened as she looked at the arm she was holding her with as it was an arm of a grimm. Not to get herself killed she complied as she handed over her spare clothing for her and gave directions to Wind Path.
"J-Just take that road up ahead and follow it. You'll get their within the day." The woman said frightened.
"Good. If you tell anyone I was here I'll come back and kill you." Coco growled her eye shined with power. The woman getting the message nodded vigoriously as Coco released her from her grip as she walked on toward her destination as it would be the only place to go and possibly get to her true destination and find those that had done her wrong.
"I will not fail in the mission my queen. I will finish what I've started." Coco said as she began walking toward Wind Path vowing revenge to take what was hers.
F3: And that's it for the start of Volume 6. Everyone is on board the train to Argus and dealing with grimm and Coco is alive and on her hunt for the group. That could only end well.
