Seiji looked up from the book he was reading as he heard the door to the library open, his hand reaching for the kunai on the table for this exact purpose. He didn't need it, but his instincts were razor sharp. Penny walked in with lunch as she looked around and laughed. It had been a few months since Seiji was welcomed in the Home of the Flamels. Penny saw the twenty clones looking at all the books he was currently reading, the original sitting at a table with several maps and a book open in front of him.

"I thought you would be hungry." Penny said as she walked over to Prime and set the tray down. A chicken sandwich was there along with some lemonade and fruit. Seiji smiled at Penny, she was always doting on him, making sure he ate his meals and was learning much from both of them.

"Thanks Penny." Seiji said, reaching for the lemonade. He was reading up on former events that happened in Magical Europe and this Voldemort prick seemed to be a real nuisance. Penny looked over the maps Seiji had out.

"What are you looking for dear?" Penny asked as she rested a hand on Seiji's shoulder.

"Voldemort's movements." Seiji answered as he looked at the map. "Know thy enemy, know thyself." Seiji said, quoting his new favorite book, Art of War. Penny looked at the maps and saw that Seiji had marked the copies he made with small x's and quick notes as he read the book. "This Harry Potter," Seiji said, pulling Penny's attention back to him. "He is hailed as a hero and nobody knows where he is. Why is that?" Seiji asked as he looked over his notes, not finding a current location for one Harry James Potter. Seiji frowned, he was a master of intelligence gathering and even he couldn't find one boy. 'The last place you would look.' The Dragon said in Seiji's head. Seiji blinked, rifling through his notes. Penny watched as Seiji seemed to have found something. Seiji pulled what looked to be a family tree and traced it back to Harry's parents and then looked. "Dursley." Seiji said, tapping the name on his paper. Penny was shocked, the whole Wizarding World was wondering where the Boy Who Lived was, and Seiji found him in less than six months. Seiji looked up, a look of confusion on his face. "One of the most famous saviors of the Wizarding world is living with Muggles?" Seiji asked as he looked at Penny. She simply shrugged and shook her head.

"We do not concern ourselves with things like that, dear." Penny said as Seiji nodded, returning to his work. Penny smiled and let the boy return to his learning, he seemed to be absorbing knowledge at an amazing rate.

Seiji landed on his back, groaning as the wind was knocked out of his lungs, several curse words on his lips. A clone of himself stood over him, the only thing telling them apart was the slight scaly appearance to his arms. The reptilian eyes watched Seiji as he regained his footing, spitting a little blood from his mouth as the clone examined his nails.

"How did I beat you?" The clone asked in the voice of the Dragon inside of him. Seiji got to one knee and glared at the Dragon.

"Y-you're too fast. I can't track you without my eyes." Seiji said as he hauled himself to his feet. The dragon sighed.

"And what if someone somehow manages to outsmart you with your eyes?" The dragon asked as Seiji paused.

"I see." Seiji said as the Dragon nodded and dropped into another ready stance.

"Again." The Dragon commanded as Seiji dropped to his ready stance again. The fight continued as Nick and Penny were away on business, Seiji's lessons were on hold until they returned. That left Seiji to train what he knew, taijutsu, ninjutsu, and kenjutsu. The Dragon seemed to be willing to aid Seiji as they clashed for what felt like the millionth time that day. Seiji had been staying with the Flamels for three months now. He knew quite a bit about the Wizarding World, and the issues that were in this world Seiji was now slightly a part of. His clones were scattered to the Four Winds now, gathering intel on groups Seiji wanted to know about. The most important groups were the Death Eaters, and members of the Wizarding government. The Dragon struck and Seiji managed to block as he growled to himself, punching the Dragon in the face as he sent the Dragon sprawling. He regained his footing and smiled at Seiji. "Good, you are learning." The Dragon said as Seiji smiled. "My name is Bahamut Sin, and it is an honor to meet you Seiji." Bahamut Sin said bowing. Seiji bowed as well to the clone as it walked into Seiji. Memories flowed into Seiji's mind of their fight and he smiled as he headed back inside. The House Elves welcomed him back and prepared a meal for Seiji as he went over what he knew so far. One clone was watching Harry Potter currently and his anger was rising. The family raising Harry hated him and Seiji was making sure that Harry would actually live to see his next birthday. Seiji thanked the House Elves and returned to the pond to meditate. 'Natural energy is all around us. The more we can absorb the more we can amplify our power.' Sin instructed as Seiji cleared his mind as he sat and could feel the world around him. It was weird, being able to feel things happen from miles away. Seiji was learning from Sin as he heard the telltale sign of Nick and Penny returning. Seiji opened his eyes as they approached and Seiji rose to his feet, greeting his patrons and smiling at them.

"How was the meeting?" Seiji asked as Nick and Penny smiled.

"It was good, though we have a bit of an issue." Nick said as Seiji raised an eyebrow.

"Oh? Is there any way I can help?" Seiji asked as Penny looked at Nick.

"He could do this, he is not bound by any of the rules we are tangled up in." Penny said as Nick nodded.

"There is someone who we have confirmed is a Death Eater." Nick said as Seiji's eyes darkened.

"Unleash me." Seiji said in a low tone. Nick looked up and Penny seemed nervous as Seiji looked at Nick, his normally warm amber eyes slowly spun to red and black as the Mangekyou Sharingan activated. "Unleash me. I will kill them." Seiji said as Nick nodded.

"Go." Nick said as Seiji vanished in a flock of ravens.

"Are you sure we should let Seiji continue this life?" Penny asked as Nick took her hand and squeezed gently.

"He chose to walk this life, it is our duty to guide him along this path." Nick said as Penny leaned against her husband. "You want to adopt him don't you?" Nick said as Penny slapped his shoulder.

"Like you don't want to as well." Penny said as Nick nodded.

"We will ask him later." Nick said bringing Penny back inside for a meal.

Seiji appearing in front of the house that the Death Eater was hiding wasn't hard. It was even easier to find the target and kill him. Seiji was in and out in five minutes, with nobody the wiser around him as he slipped from the house and made his way down the street as he scanned the area, making sure he wasn't being followed. Finding no tails aside from those that his partner had as he walked down the street. He found a place to vanish and was soon outside the wards of his home as he passed through the wards. Nick and Penny were in the sitting room reading when Seiji walked in and gently placed a wand on the table, before stepping back and clasping his hands behind his back.

"Contract complete sir." Seiji said, looking at Nick. Nick looked at the wand and nodded.

"Thank you Seiji." Nick said as Seiji bowed.

"It was a simple task when you think about it." Seiji said smiling as Penny shook her head at Seiji's failed joke. Seiji nodded to both of his patrons and left to return to his research. Penny looked up at Nick and then to the clock.

"Seven minutes. He was there and back in seven minutes, Nick." Penny said as Nick looked at the wand that was set down on the table, there was blood on it as well that Nick cast an identify spell, confirming that the blood was of the target.

"He is good, with our help, he will become great." Nick said as he looked at Penny. Penny nodded.

"Don't push him too hard Nick, let's take him to visit Paris soon." Penny said as Nick nodded.

"We will go next week." Nick said as Penny smiled.

The Flamels appeared outside of Paris smiling as they watched Seiji reform from his flock of ravens as he blinked slightly and shook his head, gathering his thoughts as his Sharigan faded from his eyes, returning them to their natural amber.

"So why are we here?" Seiji asked as he looked around. He was dressed in his more modern gear and swapped his assassin robes for a more modern long coat, his hidden weapons secured as he scanned the area, his clones feeding him intel that wasn't actionable at the time. Nick smiled and looked at a boy he saw as a son.

"We are going to watch a Dueling Tournament to show you how Wizards sort of fight." Nick said as Seiji seemed to brighten.

"Learning how to combat Wizards? I understand." Seiji said as Penny sighed, she would have to train Seiji a little better. Not everything was training or a mission. She shook her head as Nick led Seiji to the arena. They arrived and took their seats as Seiji looked around. "What is Dueling? I have not gotten to that part of the library Nick." Seiji said as Nick smiled at the boy, he was already a quarter of the way through their grand library thanks to his Shadow Clones.

"Dueling is a one on one line fight." Nick started as Seiji listened with rapt attention.

"So it must stay on the stage?" Seiji asked as Nick nodded.

"If you leave the stage it is a ring out. You must stay on the stage." Nick explained as Seiji watched some of the duels.

"What are the other rules, they seem to not be trying to kill each other." Seiji observed as he watched the spells being thrown by the combatants, his eyes activating as the commas appeared in his red eyes as he could see the magic being used better. His eyes flitting from combatant to combatant, watching the spells and dissecting them on how to dodge it.

"You are correct Seiji, they cannot kill, but some tournaments allow lethal spells to be used." Nick said as he watched Seiji observe. His eyes flicked back and forth from the combatants as Seiji paused.

"Why take me here?" Seiji asked as Nick looked at his wife.

"Not everything is a lesson dear. We thought this would be a fun thing for you to observe." Penny said as Seiji leaned back in his chair.

"Point left." Seiji muttered as Nick and Penny looked and saw the man on the left become victorious. Seiji watched the matches, his eyes deactivating as he looked around. The people seemed to love this sport, but it didn't do anything for Seiji. An announcer came forward.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we will be trying something new next year, an all out melee tournament!" The man said, using magic to amplify his voice. Seiji perked up at that.

"A melee?" Seiji said softly as he listened intently.

"All melee weapons are allowed, no ranged weapons and magic is also allowed!" The man said as a cheer went up. Penny looked at Seiji and saw him grinning.

"Now that would be fun Penny. A chance to test my Skills against wizards." Seiji said as he smiled. Nick looked to Penny.

"We will have to see how we can get him to be eligible to enter. I'll be back." Nick said as he excused himself and left the booth they were in. Seiji was thinking over what weapons he would need to master as he thought over this new option that was presented to him. A real chance to test his Skills as he noticed Penny sit next to him.

"Seiji dear." Penny said, pulling Seiji's full attention to her and not to his musings.

"Yes?" Seiji asked, wondering why Penny seemed to look a little nervous.

"You enjoy staying with us, correct?" Penny asked. Seiji was confused by the train of thought, but answered honestly.

"Yes, I do. I feel at peace when I am in your home and I can still train when you are gone without fear of being seen or captured." Seiji said as Penny smiled at the young man sitting next to her. He always spoke honestly and never minced words, so she knew he was telling the truth.

"And where you are from, you had no last name?" Penny asked as Seiji nodded.

"I was part of no clan, therefore I had no clan name." Seiji said as Penny nodded. Seiji had explained the clans and what their purposes were in the world he was from. Clans from his world were like the Houses here. Penny looked at Seiji and smiled.

"What if you had our name?" Penny asked as Seiji looked at her. He was about to answer, when the request caught up to his mind. Nick and Penny wanted Seiji to have their last name, to be a part of their clan.

"Are you asking me to join your clan?" Seiji asked softly as Penny smiled.

"We are asking if we can adopt you." Penny said as Seiji blinked a few times.

"Would you like to become Seiji Flamel, heir to the Ancient and Noble House of Flamel?" Penny asked as Seiji paused as he looked at Penny.

"I've never had a family before." Seiji said softly as Penny wrapped him in a hug. Seiji was taken aback for a moment, then hugged Penny back. "So that makes you my kaa-san?" Seiji asked as Penny smiled. As Penny was teaching Seiji different languages, Seiji was teaching Penny to speak what she now knew was Japanese. Penny nodded.

"That is correct dear." Penny said as she felt her shoulder get wet. Seiji was crying.

"I have a family." Seiji said softly as Penny held him closer. A clearing of a throat alerted the two that Nick had returned. Seiji turned away from his father figure and dried his eyes before turning back to Nick. Nick smiled as there was someone with him. Seiji measured him up quickly and saw that he had the look of an official for the tournament.

"Monsieur DuCasse, this is my lovely wife Penny, and our adopted son Seiji." Nick said in French with a wink towards Seiji, who was stunned for a second, then realized this was planned from the start. Seiji bowed slightly to DuCasse and looked him in the eye.

"Monsieur DuCasse, an honor to meet you sir, I have learned a lot about Dueling from watching your wonderful tournament." Seiji said in fluent French as DuCasse's eyebrows rose at the boy who he was just informed that had no magic but could give the new melee idea a run for its money.

"A pleasure to meet both of you. Monsieur Flamel was telling me about your skill, young Seiji." DuCasse said as Seiji looked to Nick who only winked back. Seiji turned and looked at DuCasse.

"I am skilled in other things aside from magic. I believe this new melee would be an excellent way to showcase my Skills." Seiji replied as DuCasse nodded and seemed to think.

"We would need a place to observe your skills firsthand to know which ones to allow and which would not be able to be used." DuCasse said as Seiji nodded, fully understanding that some of his abilities would not be able to be used in a tournament setting. Nick chose that moment to pipe up.

"We can meet you at the French Ministry tomorrow. Perhaps the Head of the DMLE could attend as well, so he can observe as well." Nick suggested as DuCasse nodded. He bid the trio goodbye and Nick looked at Seiji, a smile on his face.

"I take it you accepted Penny's offer?" Nick asked as he walked over to Seiji and hugged him. Seiji was prepared for this and managed to hug back.

"I did, Father." Seiji said, smiling at Nick. Nick grinned back and looked at his wife.

"I think a celebratory dinner is in order. Come tomorrow, we will show some of these Wizards what our son is capable of." Nick said proudly. Penny wiped a few tears away and hugged her two boys. Seiji was calm in this foreign embrace, he knew what it was, but it was still weird to him. Nick and Penny smiled as they headed out to celebrate Seiji's welcome to the family.
