Clefairy and the Moon Stone
We join our heroes as they hike towards a large mountain called Mt. Moon.
"Mt. Moon. Doesn't that sound romantic?" asked Misty
"People say that a huge meteor crashed into the mountain back in prehistoric times" informed Brock
"I did not know that" said Green
"Yeah, it's interesting to know something like that happened years ago" added Jake
"Saur" said Bulbasaur
"A meteor" muttered Ash
Pikachu was resting on his backpack
"Is what you're saying true, Brock?" asked Green
"Believe it or not, Green. The meteor from the story is called the Moon stone" said Brock
"Now that's romantic" said Misty
'Hmm. The Moon Stone. I think I read somewhere that it can allow some Pokémon to evolve' thought Jake
Just then, someone yelled which wakes Pikachu up
"What was that?" asked Jake as Ash looks ahead
"Look, over there" he said
The group races ahead to see a flock of Zubats attacking a guy wearing glasses. He looks like a scientist
"It's a flock of Zubats" said Jake
"They're attacking that guy" said Misty
"Dexter, analyze" said Ash as he takes out his Pokédex and scans them
Ash's Pokédex: Zubat, blind Pokémon with supersonic powers. Zubat live in caves and hate to fly outside in daylight.
"Not these Zubats" said Ash
"Don't just stand there, Ash. Help him!" urged Jake
"Right. Pikachu, Thundershock!" ordered Ash
Pikachu leaps off Ash and unleashes Thundershock which zaps all the Zubats. The zubats then retreated into the entrance to Mt. Moon
"That takes care of them" said Green
Ash then races up to the man
"Are you okay?" he asked
The man gets up and begins to hug Ash
"Wow, you guys are the greatest!" he said
"Really! It was nothing!" yelled Ash as he was being hugged tightly
"I'm talking super fantabulistic! I'm talking two thumbs up! Way up! The best rescue I've ever had!" the man continued
Pikachu, was between the hug and was getting crushed. He unleashes Thundershock which zaps both Ash and the man causing Jake, Bulbasaur, and Green to cringe. The man then fell down, but then gets back up
"They say a man's best friend is a Pokémon, and with you two, I believe it" said the man
"Umm. That's nice" said Ash unsure
"I'm so moved. Such friendship I thought I'd never seen when the Zubat start attacking me. I thought I was done for, but who should arrived, two heroes. Thanks to whom, I'm alive. I'M ALIVE! THANK YOU SO MUCH! THANK YOU!" exclaimed the man
"Wow, someone sure is happy" commented Jake
"He certainly doesn't look like the poetic type" added Misty
"Did I mention how grateful I am?" asked the man
"Yeah, um. Anyway, why were the Zubat attacking you mister?" asked Ash
"Never call me mister! My name is Seymour! Seymour the scientist! Knowledge! Research! I'm Seymour the Scientist!" said the man now known as Seymour
The group all gave him a puzzled look
"Saur?" puzzled Bulbasaur
Seymour then led the group through Mt. Moon which has lights all over the wall
"See? The cave is all lit up inside. Somebody has strung these lights through the whole cave. But the Pokémon in this cave need the dark. These lights are upsetting them and making them confused" explained Seymour
"No wonder those Zubats attacked you" said Jake
"Uh huh. Look here, those Paras are planting their mushrooms everywhere. And the hot lights are drying up these Sandshrew" continued Seymour as he gestured to some Paras putting their mushrooms in the ground and an exhausted Sandshrew.
"Those poor Pokémon" said Green with a sad look
"That's why I'm here. I'm patrolling to protect the mountain from the troublemakers that attack against these caves" explained Seymour
"Troublemakers? Why attack a cave?" asked Misty
"I'm afraid it's because of the Moon Stone" answered Seymour
"The Moon Stone?" asked Jake
"Exactly. The Moon Stone is an awesome boulder. A million years old or even older. Deep in these caves, the meteor hides. Though no explorer has found the place of the legendary rock from space. We've study these fragments for many an hour, and discovered it increases a Pokémon's power. And that is why the attackers are here, they come to take the Moon Stone or so I fear" said Seymour in rhymes
"Wow. I guess he really is the poetic type" said Green in amazement
"So Seymour. About the Moon Stone" said Jake
"Ever since I was a little boy, I believed the Pokémon came to Earth from outer space" stated Seymour
"From outer space?!" repeated the group
"Yes. And where you asked is the spacecraft that brought them to Earth in this cave? It's the Moon Stone" Seymour claimed
"That's an interesting theory, Seymour. But I don't think that's possible" said Jake in disbelief
"Bulbasaur" said Bulbasaur as it shook it's head. It doesn't believe that what Seymour is saying is true
"But don't you see. It means that the Moon Stone belongs to the Pokémon. We humans must not take it from them!" yelled Seymour
He turns to Ash. Ash gasps as Seymour grabs him by the hands
"You agree with me. Don't you?"
"Uh huh. Uh huh" answered Ash
Just then a pink Pokémon holding a stone leaps past the group. They gasped as they saw it
"That looks like a... Clefairy" said Brock
"It's so cute!" gasped Misty
"I'll say!" added Green as she gushes at it
Ash takes out his Pokédex and scans Clefairy
Ash's Pokédex: Clefairy. This impish Pokémon is friendly and peaceful. It is believed to live inside Mt. Moon, although very few have ever been seen by humans.
"I gotta catch it!" said Ash as he enlarges a Poké Ball.
But before he can throw it, Seymour grabs his arm to stop him
"You can't!"
Clefairy then went off in one of the caves
"Sorry, but it's best if you just let it stay here. I hope you understand" said Seymour
"Sure, Seymour. I understand" replied Ash
Suddenly, Clefairy begins to cry in distress. This gets the groups attention
"It sounds like Clefairy's in trouble. Come on!" said Jake as he and Bulbasaur ran into the tunnel where Clefairy went into. The others follow after him
Clefairy has just been cornered by Team Rocket's Mewoth
"Don't be scared of Meowth" said Meowth
The group then came in the tunnel
"It's Meowth" said Ash and Jake
"Meowth, what are you doing here!? demanded Meowth
"We should be asking you the same thing!" said Green with a glare
Pikachu and Bulbasaur then got up to the frightened Clefairy. After reassuring that it will be fine, Clefairy becomes happy and nods happily.
"So, Team Rocket is causing all the trouble around here. What a surprise" said Ash sarcastically
"Then we better stop them before more trouble ensues" added Jake
Just then, Jessie and James appeared
"Trouble?"
"Make that Double"
"To Protect the World from Devastation"
"To Unite All People within our Nation"
"To Denounce the Evils of Truth and Love"
"To Extend our reach to the Stars Above"
"Jessie"
"James"
"Team Rocket! Blast off at the Speed of Light!"
"Surrender Now or Prepare to Fight!"
"Meowth, That's right!"
"They sure are showoffs" commented Seymour
"You can say that again" said Jake
"Don't you guys get tired of saying the same things over and over?" asked Ash
"You're just jealous, boy" said Jessie
"Cause we won't let you join us" added James
"Like we would ever join up with people like you!" yelled Jake
Green stepped up with a glare
"So it was you. You were the ones that put the lights up in the caves!" she yelled
"It's your fault the Pokémon who live here are so confused!" added Brock
"What a shame" said Jessie mockingly
"How will we ever forgive ourselves?" taunted James
"We want to get our hands on the Moon Stone so we can power up our Pokémon with it" explained Meowth
"With the Moon Stone in our hands, nothing will stop us" added Jessie arrogantly
Jake shook his head at the trio's stupidity. He knows that the Moon Stone will only evolve some Pokémon.
"We won't you let you get away with it!" yelled Ash
"You want a rock? Take one of these, and get lost!" demanded Brock
"Get lost? How rude" said Jessie mockingly
"Let's teach him manners" said James as he and Jessie got out their Poké Balls
Ash, Jake, and Brock did the same
"Keep an eye on Seymor and Clefairy. Make a run for it when you get the chance" Ash told Misty who nods her head
"You too, Green. You have to protect Seymour and Clefairy. We'll hold off these two clowns" Jake said to Green
"Okay, Jake. Good luck" said Green
Jessie and James leap in the air and threw their Poké Balls
"Ready or not! Koffing/Ekans!"
"Butterfree, I choose you!"
"Beedrill, go get em!"
"Here we go!"
Jessie Jame's Poké Balls open and Ekans and Koffing appear. At the same time, the three boys' Poké Balls open to reveal Butterfree, Beedrill, and a Zubat
"Whoa! Jake, you caught a Beedrill?" asked Ash in shock
"Yep. I caught one back in Viridian Forest" answered Jake
"And is that a Zubat?" asked Ash as he look at Brock's Zubat
"I captured it just before we entered the cave" answered Brock
"Oh, I should've caught one" said Ash depressed
"Worry about that later, buddy. Let's take care of those two first" reminded Jake as he points at Ekans and Koffing
"Right" said Ash
"Koffing, Smog attack!" ordered James
Koffing did as James did and begins to cover the area in Smog
"Butterfree, Whirlwind now!" yelled Ash
"Zubat, Double Team now!" yelled Brock
Both Butterfree and Zubat flew up in the air. They then use their wings to blow the Smog right at Jessie and James.
"What's this?" asked James as he and Jessie gets covered in Smog
"Not bad" complimented Ash
"Quick! Now's our chance!" said Misty as she pushes Seymour away with Green following after them
Ekans begins to charge in with Bite
"Quick Beedrill, intercept Ekans with Fury Attack!" yelled Jake
Beedrill got in Ekans' way and attacks it with Fury Attack.
"Koffing, get that Beedrill with your Tackle!" ordered James
Koffing charges at Beedrill
"Beedrill, fly up to dodge and use Fury Attack on Koffing" said Jake
Beedrill fly up in the air and then used Fury Attack from behind Koffing.
"Thanks for that, Jake. Now it's my turn. Zubat, Supersonic attack!" ordered Brock
Zubat unleashes Supersonic from it's mouth and the soundwaves hit both Ekans and Koffing.
"Uh" said Jessie
"Oh no" said James
Ekans and Koffing becomes confused and begins to attack each other
"Ekans! Koffing!" yelled Jessie
"What's the matter with you weaklings!" demanded James
"Ekans and Koffing are getting confused" said Brock
"Which gives us the opportunity to attack. Right, Ash?" said Jake
"Oh yeah, buddy. Butterfree, Whirlwind now! Blow them all away from the caves!" ordered Ash
Butterfree did what Ash said and begins to flap it's wings as the wind begins to take effect. Jessie and James tries to resist, but their Pokémon gets blown over to them and crashes into them. This send them flying farther into the caves.
"It's time Team Rocket blasted off!" shouted James
"You may have won this round, but we'll be back!" called Jessie
Jake returns his Beedrill to it's Poké Ball.
"We did it! Yeah!" cheered Ash as he, Jake, and Brock bumped their arms together at their victory.
"Excellent teamwork" said Brock
"Yeah" began Jake. He then looks around and notices that they have missed one Team Rocket member
"Um, guys. I think we forgot someone" he said
Ash and Brock both begin to think and realize who they are missing
"Where's Meowth!?" they cried
"Oh no. He must've snuck off to get to Seymour, Clefairy and the girls" said Jake
He then runs off with Bulbasaur, Ash, Brock, and Pikachu following after him.
Meanwhile, Clefairy has just leaped out of the caves
"Oh no! Clefairy's running away!" said Misty
"I'll get it!" said Green as she takes off after Clefairy
Misty and Seymour followed after her. Clefairy had just climbed up a rocky cliff. Green begins to climb up after it while Misty and Seymour follows her
"Clefairy, come back!" called Seymour
Clefairy continues to run on a bridge until it gets intercepted by Meowth
"Meowth's gotcha now!" he sneered
As Green begins to climb up, she hears Clefairy's cry
"Clefairy" gasped Green as she looks up.
Clefairy has jumped off and lands on Green's head. Green cried out in surprise and fell into the water. Misty and Seymour both climbed back down and ran into the water
"Green, are you okay?" asked Misty in concern
"Yeah. I think so" said Green as she got up as Clefairy did the same
"Not for long" said Meowth as he jumped down to confront them
Clefairy becomes frightened and hid behind Seymour
"Alright, give Meowth that Moon Stone!" demanded Meowth as he showed his claws
"Meowth? I'm sure we can be reasonable about this!" Seymour said
"No we can't!" said Meowth as he lunges at them
Green then took action
"Oh no you don't! Squirtle, intercept Meowth with Tackle attack!" said Green as she threw her Poké Ball to let out her Squirtle
Squirtle then Tackles Meowth away.
"Meowth!" Meowth said in pain
"Now Squirtle, Water Gun attack!" Green commanded
Squirtle shoots Water Gun which gets into Meowth's mouth. Meowth begins to blow up like a balloon as more water went in. Meowth was then sent blasting off as he begins fly away while spitting out the water and out of sight.
"So long Meowth! Have a nice trip!" Green called out
She then kneels down at Squirtle
"Great job, Squirtle. Return" she said as she recalls Squirtle
Jake, Ash, Brock, Bulbasaur, and Pikachu then ran up to them
"Hey! Are you guys okay?" aske Jake
"Well, let's just say that Meowth won't be a problem anymore. Thanks to Green" answered Misty.
"I see. Nice job, Green" Jake said to Green as he, Ash and Brock smile at her
Green giggles as she held her hands behind her back. Meanwhile, Clefairy was looking at Green in awe at how she handled Meowth.
That evening, The group and Seymour were setting down in the rocky caves. Brock was giving Zubat something.
"What's that?" asked Ash
"This is Pokémon food. Made from my own secret recipe. The ingredients are specially branded for each Pokémon." answered Brock
He gives one to Ash. Ash then feeds one to Butterfree who is eating it
"How's it taste?" asked Ash
"I've been developing it for years. I keep improving on the recipe. I'll make a batch for Pikachu" continued Brock
Jake was watching his friends talking about the Pokémon food. He then turns to Green who is looking up at the sky. He then goes to sit next to her
"Hi, Green" Jake greeted
"Oh! Hi, Jake" Green greeted back
"I have to admit. You really held your own when you defeated Meowth" complimented Jake which makes Green blush
"It was nothing. I just had to keep Clefairy safe" she answered
"But still, you really let him have it. That shows that you're a capable battler" said Jake
"Aw, thanks Jake" said Green
The two look up at the sky
"The sunset sure looks nice, doesn't it?" asked Jake
"Yeah. It sure does" said Green
"It almost reminds me of the times when Ash and I would look up at the sky to look at the sunset when we were young" said Jake
"You and Ash must be really good friends" replied Green
"Yep, we have been friends ever since we were young. There's not one day we ever split apart" answered Jake
"That's nice" said Green
"Yeah. Say Green, what's your dream?" asked Jake
"My dream?" puzzled Green
"Yeah. Me and Ash's dreams are to become Pokémon Masters. What do you plan to do?" asked Jake
"To be honest: I don't know. When I first became a Pokémon trainer, all I thought about was to make some new friends. I never really thought about what I want to do" answered Green sadly
Jake smiles understandably
"Don't worry, Green. You'll figure out what your dream is someday. It's like my father always said, 'You can be anything you want if you put your mind to it'." said Jake as he put his hand on her shoulder. Green blushes but smiled at Jake's word
"Thanks, Jake" thanked Green
Bulbasaur watches his trainer and Green talking. It smiled at the moment. Just then, everyone turn their attention to Pikachu and Clefairy who were having a conversation. Ash smiles at this
"Pikachu makes friends so easily. I wonder what they're talking about" said Ash
Pikachu begins to call to Ash and moves his paws
"What's up Pikachu?" he asked
Clefairy hops off with Pikachu following after. Jake, Green, and Bulbasaur walks up
"It looks like we'll get our answer if we follow them" said Jake
"Let's go" said Green
The humans and Bulbasaur follow after them. It was night as the groups continue to follow after Pikachu and Clefairy.
"Pikachu, where on earth are you taking us?" asked Ash
They reach the top and stop to look at another cave
"It's another cave" said Ash
"I guess whatever it is that Pikachu and Clefairy wants to show us is in there" said Jake
They all head inside where they something that they couldn't easily forget. It was a giant boulder in the center.
"It's the core of the Moon Stone" said Seymour
"It's gigantic" said Jake
"Bulbasaur" said Bulbasaur in awe
"And beautiful" added Green
"This feels like a dream" said Misty
"So the Moon Stone legend is true" said Brock in awe
"Look. Clefairy is doing something" said Ash
They all watch to see Clefairy putting it's stone on the core. This caused the Moon Stone to light up. Soon many other Clefairys appear.
"There are so many of them" said Misty in surprise
The Clefairy in the front walk up and bowed
"I think that one is saying hello" said Green
"Yeah" said Brock
"Oh, look at them" said Misty
The group watch to see the Clefairy dancing around the Moon Stone.
"Amazing. These Clefairy formed their own society. This is an incredible sight" said Seymour
"Yeah" said Jake
"Saur" Bulbasaur said as it watches in amazement
Pikachu and Clefairy then begins to talk again. Amazed, Pikachu begins to ask for more details. Ash then walks up
"Hey, Pikachu. What's Clefairy been telling you anyway?" he asked curiously
"Pika! Pika pi! Pika pika!" said Pikachu as he attempts to interpret what Clefairy told him
"Do you understand that?" asked Seymour
"Of course I do. It's my Pokémon! The Clefairy collect all these rocks and... do the Macarena!" said Ash as he attempted to translate Pikachu's movements. Pikachu fell down due to Ash getting it wrong. Pikachu then makes a cross sign to show it.
"I don't think that was it, Ash" said Jake
Pikachu rushes off and pulls Clefairy in. He then points at Clefairy and lifts it up. Ash tries again to translate
"The Clefairy. Pick up" said Ash
"A pickup truck?" guessed Brock
"Raising" answered Misty
Pikachu nods his head
"You got it, Misty. That was part of the answer" said Green
Pikachu begins to make more movements as Ash tries to translate again
"The Clefairy like raisins?" guessed Ash
Jake face palms at that. Pikachu jumps up and yanks a hair out Ash's head causing him a little pain. Pikachu then shows the hair
"What rhymes with hair?" asked Misty
"Hmm. There's a lot of words that rhyme with hair." said Jake
"I know. How about prayer" said Green
Pikachu cheered that
"That must be it. Prayer is the answer" said Jake
"The Clefairy pray to the Moon Stone!" said Ash
Seymour looks up at the giant stone and took a guess
"Is it because the Moon Stone fell from the heavens?"
"Then maybe the legends are true. Maybe the Moon Stone really did come from space" said Misty
"That's interesting" said Jake
"Of course! It all makes sense now!" cried Seymour
"What all makes sense?" asked Green
"Outer space! Pokémon. And the human race will ride the Moon Stone into space! First to the moon! Then to Mars! Then together to the stars!" Seymour continued.
"Stars? That's our cue!" said Meowth
The group turns to see the Team Rocket trio and glare at them
"Not you guys again!" said Green
"You guys don't know when to quit!" added Ash
"You're not getting the Moon Stone! Get out! Now!" demanded Jake
"Bulbasaur!" Bulbasaur said as it glared at them
"I'm afraid we can't do that! That Moon Stone will be ours now!" Meowth shot back
Seymour then runs up
"You keep away from the Moon Stone, or else!" demanded Seymour shakily. But Team Rocket only sneered at the threat Seymour made
"Or else?" repeated James mockingly
"I think we've been threatened" added Jessie mockingly
"The Moon Stone belongs to the Clefairy, not to you troublemakers! You will leave this cave at once!" demanded Seymour as his knees were shaking
"What is that unusual sound?" asked James
"His knees are shaking" said Jessie
"Sounds like a wimp" insulted Meowth. Seymour got angry at the insult
"I'll show you!" shouted Seymour as he charges at them
"Don't Seymour!" warned Ash
"You're gonna hurt yourself!" added Jake
Seymour lets out a cry as he charges at them. But Meowth trips him causing him to hit the ground and looses his glasses in the process.
"Heh. Did you have a nice trip?" asked Meowth mockingly
Seymour gets up but sees that he has lost his glasses
"My glasses. I can't see a thing" said Seymour as searches for them
"Oh Seymour" said Misty in concern
"That wasn't very nice you bullies!" Green yelled at them
"Of course we don't make nice. We're the bad guys!" said Jessie as she takes out a Poké Balls
"But enough talk" said James as he takes out his Poké Ball.
"I agree. Let's go Pikachu!"
"Onix, I choose you!"
"Bulbasaur, get them!"
Just as Ekans and Koffing appear, Ash and Jake send out their starters and Brock sends out his Onix. Pikachu goes up Onix's head while Bulbasaur races up next to Onix.
"Let's show them that size doesn't matter! Ekans, Underground!" ordered Jessie
"Koffing, Smokescreen!" ordered James
Ekans went underground while Koffing unleashes Smokescreen which blankets the area. The five friends begin to cough because of the smoke
"Smoke won't stop us. Pidgeotto I choose you!" said Ash as he takes out a Poké Ball and lets Pidgeotto out. "Pidgeotto, Whirlwind the smoke"
On Ash's orders, Pidgeotto uses Whirlwind to clear the smoke away. Green gasp as she looks at something
"Oh no! Guys, look!" she cried
The group turn to see that the Moon Stone is gone. All that was left is a crater.
"The Moon Stone is gone!" said Ash
"Team Rocket stole it!" added Misty
"The match was only a diversion so that those crooks can steal the Moon Stone under our noses" replied Jake with a glare
"Alright Onix. Follow them underground!" ordered Brock
Onix did what Brock said and went underground
"Come on guys! Team Rocket hasn't gotten far. Let's go get em" said Jake
"Right!" said Green
The five trainers ran out of the caves to follow their enemies.
The five trainers ran outside until they heard Onix roaring and Team Rocket screaming. They then see Team Rocket lying on the ground and approaches them
"There they are!" said Green as she points ahead
"Nice work, Onix! Grab them now!" ordered Brock
Brock lunges at them, but James sees this
"Koffing, Counterattack!" he ordered
Koffing did what James commanded and tackled Onix in the head. This results in a double knock out on both Onix and Koffing
"Onix" said Brock in shock. Ash then looks at the hole
"Hey look" he said
They look to see Seymour coming out of the hole Onix made.
"It's Seymour" said Misty
The Clefairy then hops out of the hole and surrounds Team Rocket
"Meowth, what's going on!?" asked Meowth
The Clefairy then begins to wag their fingers simultaneously
"What are they doing?" asked Jessie
"Waving their fingers" answered James as they begin to fall into the trance
"This way and that way. This way and that way" said Meowth
Even the five friends were caught up in the trance. Even Pikachu and Bulbasaur were caught in it
"Whoa. I'm getting dizzy" said Green
"What's happening?" asked Jake
"This is an attack that Clefairy used called the Metronome. I've never seen the Clefairy used the Metronome before. Who knows what'll happen" explained Seymour as he struggles through the rhythm
Just as the Clefairy did their Metronome, they glowed. This also caused the ground to glow and crack. It then caused an explosion which sends the Team Rocke trio flying.
"Well, it looks like Team Rocket is..." began Jessie
"Blasting off again!" finished James
"That was the Metronome?" asked Meowth
"I'd give it two thumbs down!"
"Me too!"
"Meowth, three!"
Soon, the trio were out of sight.
"Wow" said Ash as he and his friends look at the crater
Then, the shards of the Moon Stone rain down
"The Moon Stone" said Seymour as he sees it
Some of the shards landed on some of the Clefairy causing them to evolve
"Are the Clefairy...?" asked Green
"Yes, Green. The Moon Stone is evolving some of the Clefairy into Clefable" said Jake
"Saur" said Bulbasaur in awe
Ash took out his Pokédex and scans the new Pokémon
Ash's Pokédex: Clefable, an advanced form of Clefairy. These unique creatures are among the rarest Pokémon in the world.
"The power of the Moon Stone did this" said Seymour in awe. The Clefable and Clefairy both cheered at what the Moon Stone has done.
The Clefable and Clefairy then brought the Moon Stone core back into the cave and begins to dance around it.
"I've decided to live here with the Clefairy" Seymour informed the group
"But why?" asked Green
"It's been my life's dream to find the Moon Stone. Someday I will travel to the stars with the Clefairy" answered Seymour
"Well, good luck with that" said Jake
"When you do visit outer space, I hope you send us a postcard" said Brock
"If it's possible" added Green
The next morning, it was time for the five trainers to hit the road. They said farewell to Seymour and the Clefairy and Clefable.
"So long, Seymour! Goodbye Clefairy!" called Ash as he and the others wave goodbye
"Goodbye Ash! Goodbye Pikachu! And thank you all!" called Seymour
As the five trainers left, one Clefairy was watching them leave. It was especially looking at Green. Seeing that Clefairy wants to go with them, Seymour nods his head to allow it to come with them.
As the Ash, Jake, and the group were walking down the road, they heard something call them from behind
"Clefairy!"
They turn to see a Clefairy hop up to them
"A Clefairy?" asked Ash
"What's it doing here?" asked Brock
Green walks up to Clefairy and kneels down. She seems to know this Clefairy
"Say, aren't you that Clefairy I saved from Meowth?" she asked
Clefairy nods it's head
"What does it want?" asked Misty
"If I were to guess, I would say that Clefairy wants to come with Green. Clefairy admired her for saving it" guessed Jake
"Is that true, Clefairy?" Green asked
Clefairy nods it's head which causes Green to smile
"Well in that case. Welcome to the team, Clefairy" Green said as she takes out a Poké Ball. Clefairy touches the Poké Ball and goes inside. After shaking two times, the Poké Ball then locks.
"Yes! I got Clefairy" yelled Green as she held up the Poké Ball
The group was happy about Green's capture, especially Jake
"Good job, Green" said Jake
"Yeah, congratulations Green" added Ash

The five friends then walks up to a fork in the road. They see a sign that points them to Cerulean City
"This road leads to Cerulean City. Well, I guess we're heading the right way" said Brock
Green notices something on the sign
"Hey what's that scribbled on the sign?" she asked
Jake looks closely and reads it
"It says: Gary was here. Ash is a loser"
Hearing this caused Ash to lose his temper
"WHAT?! Loser?! Oooh, that Gary! I'll show you!" he yelled as he started down the path to Cerulean City
"I should've known. Only Gary knows how to push Ash's buttons." sighed Jake as he and Bulbasaur begins to chase after Ash.
"Wait up you guys!" said Green as she and the others follow after them
Having made their way through Mt. Moon, Ash and Jake are now ready to take on the next gym as the journey continues.
