I know that the original name was Beauty and the Beach, but I thought I change the title for this version.
Beach Time at Porta Vista
We join our heroes as they are about to join their time at a beach at Porta Vista. After finding a spot, the boys had just changed into their swimming trunks. Jake was wearing a black swimming trunk while Ash and Brock were wearing blue swimming trunks. Ash, Brock, Pikachu, and Bulbasaur were running on the sand and jumps into the water.
"Surf's up!" Ash yelled as they did that
Ash and Brock rise up to the surface as Pikachu and Bulbasaur begins to swim on the water.
"The water's cool" Ash said
"And the beach is hot" Brock added
"Hey, Jake. Come on in! The water's fine" Ash called to Jake, who was putting suntan lotion on himself. He was lucky to have packed it before going on his journey
"Be right with you, Ash. I just need to put a few more of this lotion on myself" Jake replied as he puts some on his torso
"Hey guys!" Green called out
The boys turn to see Green in a one piece light blue bikini and Misty in a red bikini and holding a beach ball. Jake couldn't but stare with a blush as he saw Green.
"Are you okay, Jake?" Green asked confused
This caused Jake to snap out of it
"Uh yeah. Sorry, it's just that... you look really pretty in that bikini, Green" he said
"Thanks. That's really sweet of you" Green said with a giggle.
"Anyway, I thought you guys were gonna wait for us at the snack bar. How's the water?" Misty asked
Ash, Brock, Pikachu, and Bulbasaur were staring at her
"What's wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?" Misty asked in confusion
Ash, Brock, Pikachu, and Bulbasaur then came out of the water
"It's just weird to see you looking like a girl" Ash said
This made Misty blush in anger
"Well see how weird this looks!" she yelled as she threw her ball at Ash which knocks him into the water. This caused Green and Bulbasaur to wince at this while Jake facepalms at this.
"I'll get him" Jake said
He jumps into the water, grabs Ash, and brought him back up to the surface. Ash was coughing as they were back up
"I said it once, and I'll say it again. You have got to watch what you say about girls" Jake said
"Thanks for reminding me" Ash sighed
The gang begin to spend their time on the beach. They begin to swim in the ocean. While Ash, Misty, Brokc, and Pikachu were swimming, Green and Jake were on another part of the water having a water fight with each other while Jake's Bulbasaur was at the sand tanning. The gang then played a game of volleyball with each other. They took turns as they did that. Not to mention enjoying some snacks at the snack bar. The gang were then seen riding on a speedboat
"Isn't this great, you guys?" Ash asked
"The boat's beautiful. Whose it belong to?" Misty asked
"Beats me" Jake said
"I don't know. Brock's the one who borrowed it. Guess he has some pretty rich friends" Ash replied
"Ash, I didn't borrow it" Brock pointed out
"You were the one who told me to come on board!" Misty told Ash
"Only after I saw, Brock, Jake, and Green get on" Ash said
"In our defense, we were only following Pikachu and Bulbasaur" Green said embarrassed
"Pika" Pikachu said with a sweat drop
"Bulba" Bulbasaur said with a sweat drop
"I think we're in trouble" Ash said
"You can say that again" Jake added
"Pikachu!" Pikachu yelled
"Bulbasaur!" Bulbasaur yelled
They both see something underwater coming towards them. This caused the gang to notice too. Suddenly, the boat collided with what's underwater causing the gang to scream as they are sent flying
"What was that?!" Green asked
"I don't know. But whatever it is caused something on the boat to break. I can't stop!" Ash yelled as he attempts to stop the boat
"Look out for that dock!" Brock said as he points to a nearby dock
Everyone screams as they got near
"Brace for impact!" Jake yelled
The boat crashed into the dock knocking everyone over. Jake then gets up.
"Is everyone alright?" he asked
"I'm okay" Green replied
"Me too" Ash replied
"Nothing's broken" Misty said
"I'm good" Brock responded
"Bulbasaur" Bulbasaur said
"Pika" Pikachu replied
They then see the destroyed dock
"Uh.. The dock hit us." Ash said
"This is bad" Jake added
Just then, an old man angrily runs up to the gang just as they got off the boat
"What do you little vandals think you're doing!? First you stole my boat, then you destroyed my dock! You'll pay for this!" he yelled
"Wait. This is your boat?" Jake asked
"Yes it is!" the old man responded
Ash hid behind Misty
"This is all a big mistake!" Ash said
"Yeah. We had no idea. We're really sorry, sir" Green added
The old man then begins to stare at Misty
"You remind me of my granddaughter." he said
"We don't have any money, but we'd be happy to pay for any damages" Misty replied
"You would?" the man asked
"I mean they'd be happy" Misty replied as she got behind Jake, Ash, Brock, and Green and push them in front of him.
'Dang it, Misty!' thought Jake in annoyance
The old man then led the gang to a restaurant he owns. He introduced himself as Moe and gave each of them jobs. Ash, Jake, and Brock were assigned as barkers for the restaurant. Pikachu and Bulbasaur are with them
"French fried flounder! Seven layer crab cakes! Get em while they're cold!" Brock called out
"Try our new squid on a stick!" Ash yelled
"And our clam juice snow cones!" Brock called
"I recommend the Sea food special!" Jake called out
"Pika pika!" Pikachu called
"Saur!" Bulbasaur yelled
Then a couple comes by
"A table for two?" Brock asked
"What do you think?" the boy asked his girlfriend
" Looks like a real dive!" the girl answered
"Huh?" Brock puzzled
"Hey! That restaurant over there looks good!" the boy said as they walked past them
Jake can only snapped his fingers in frustration. Green then comes out
"Hey guys. How's it going?" she asked
"Not very well. No one seems interested in dining here" Jake replied
"Saur" Bulbasaur said in disappointment
"Welcome to Brutella's Ocean Chateau. Come up to our terrace. Enjoy our seafood and sea views." Jessie said as some people go into another restaurant. She notices the gang and pulls down her eyelid to taunt them
"Is that who I think it is?" Green asked
"Yeah. It's Jessie from Team Rocket" Jake said as he narrows his eyes
"What's she doing here?" Ash asked
"By the looks of it, she must be working for that restaurant" Jake answered
"Jessie looks good in that uniform too" Brock said
Misty then came out to watch the whole thing
"A top quality restaurant attracts top quality people!" Jessie called out
"And a no quality dive attracts the bottom feeders!" added James as he was also working at the restaurant
"Yeah, you losers!" Meowth mocked
"Pikachu!" Pikachu yelled in offense
"Bulbasaur!" Bulbasaur yelled angrily
Meowth insult has also infuriated the gang
"Losers!?" Green yelled in anger
"That does it! We're not gonna stand around while they make fun of us! This calls for action!" Jake yelled
"Yeah! We'll show them we're not losers!" Ash said. "I choose everybody!"
As he said that, Ash lets out all of his Pokémon
"You read my mind, Ash! Come out everyone!" Jake yelled as he lets out all of his Pokémon. "Alright, let's get to work!"
The Pokémon all cheer at this
The Pokémon then got down to business to help out Moe's restaurant
"Pikachu, Jake's Pikachu, Squirtle, and Sandshrew will pass out the flyers" Ash said
The two Pikachus, Ash's Squirtle, and Sandshrew pass out the flyers to the beach goers at Porta Vista
"Pidgeotto can use it's Gust to keep the charcoal hot" Ash said
Pidgeotto flaps it's wings at the coal that was cooking some corn
"Meanwhile, Spearow and Beedrill will assist in cutting the food" Jake said
Spearow and Beedrill were at the kitchen where they use their attacks to cut up some food
"Charmander will help out with the flame broiling!" Ash said as his Charmander was using flamethrower as Moe begins to cook
"And our Bulbasaurs and Vaporeon will assist Misty and Green on waiting customers" Jake added
Misty and Green then begins to take orders for customers as Ash and Jake's Bulbasaurs and Vaporeon assists them. Pretty soon, thanks to the gang's hard work, customers begin to come to Moe's restaurant. Ash and Jake then begins to set everything up outside by placing outdoor tables for the customers who want to eat outside. The boys were watching the customers eat, proud of their accomplishment.
"Looks like everybody wants to eat in the only Porta Vista restaurant with Pokémon!" Ash said
"You got that right, buddy. We really made some good progress to attract all these customers" Jake added
Suddenly, trouble begin to ensue. First flyers began to blow away from Ash and Jake's Pikachu, Ash's Squirtle, and Sandshrew making them chase after them. Then as Moe and Charmander were cooking, the stove blew up in their faces. Then, the food that Beedrill and Spearow were cutting gets sucked away. And finally, banana peels were thrown on the floor, causing both Bulbasaurs and Vaporeon to slip and spill the drinks and food.
"What's the matter?" Misty asked
She walks over but she slips on another banana peel causing her to spill food on some customers.
"Misty, are you alright?" Green asked
Just as she is about to walk over to her, she stepped on another banana peel.
"Whoa!" she yelled as she slips and accidentally hit two customers with the food and drinks
"Why don't you watch where you're going!" a customer yelled
"Sorry" Green said nervously. She then notice the banana peel near her
"I hate this place!" another customer yelled
And with that, the customers all cleared out of the restaurant.
"What went wrong?" Ash asked
"Just about everything" Brock replied
Jake could only facepalm at what had just transpired
Back in the restaurant, the gang and the Pokémon were at the tables feeling down at the failure of attracting customers.
"So much for making progress" Jake sighed
"Yeah" Green said
"Saur" Jake's Bulbasaur said depressed
"Moe, we're really sorry with the way we messed things up for you." Ash said to the old man
"You all did the best you could, at least things we're going good for a while until those accidents started happening." Moe assured
"I guess so" Ash said
"Something's weird! There's no way those were all just accidents!" Misty yelled
"Misty is right. I found this banana peel on the floor after I tripped. Someone deliberately threw it there" Green said as she held up the peel
The gang gasped as they saw this
"That proves it then. Obviously someone is trying to sabotage this restaurant so Moe wouldn't get any customers" Jake said with a glared
All of Jake's Pokémon all nod their heads at this
"Well well"
The gang turn to see a woman with red hair and the Team Rocket trio
"Brutella!" Moe yelled
"Team Rocket!" Ash and Jake yelled
"Don't need a reservation to get in here anymore! If things keep up like this, you might have to go out of business, Moe!" Brutella said
"Why do you care?!" Ash asked as he, Jake, and Moe stood up
"I couldn't care less if this dump goes under, but you better find some way to pay me back the dough you owe me, and fast!" Brutella warned
'He owes her money?' thought Jake in surprise
"You'll get your money!" yelled Moe
"Yeah? Well, I want it tomorrow! And if you don't pay me back every penny, I'll just take that boat of yours instead." Brutella threatened
"No, please! Take anything you want, but not that boat!" begged Moe
"See ya tomorrow!" Brutella said as she left the restaurant with a chuckle
"The clock's ticking!" Jessie said
"Hope you don't get the money!" James added
"Cause that boat of yours is our honey!" Meowth said
The trio then mocked them and leaves the restaurant with a laugh. Jake glared as they did that.
"We'll pick it up tomorrow!" James called out
"Those guys make my blood boil" Jake grumbled
"Saur saur!" his Bulbasaur said with a glare
"The deadline's tomorrow, but there's no way I can earn that money in less than a day! I guess I'll have to hand my boat over to Brutella." Moe lamented
"That's so sad." Misty said
"This boat means everything to you, does it Moe?" Jake asked
"Yes. For years I've been dreaming about taking it on a cruise around the world. I wanted to see the world before it's too late, but I guess it wasn't meant to be." Moe explained as he slumped down
"Don't say that, Moe! You can't give up on your dreams! You have to follow your dream, no matter what!" Ash yelled in encouragement
"Ash is right! You have to keep fighting for that dream no matter the odds" Jake added
"Jake and I always dream of becoming the world's greatest Pokémon trainers, and even though it isn't that easy, we're gonna do everything we can to make it come true! Please, Moe. Please don't give up. You can't give up! Not when your dream is so close to coming true!" Ash said
"They're right, Moe! You can't let that lady take your boat away!" Brock said
"Yeah. We'll find some way to help you get that money!" Green added
"We'll work together" Misty added
Ash and Jake's Pokémon nod their heads at this
"You think it's possible?" Moe asked
"Anything's possible, Moe! We're gonna make it happen!" Ash said
"What he said" Jake added
"But how? In one day?" Moe asked
"You know. That's a good question" Green said
The gang then begins to think of something
"Mind if I make a suggestion?"
The gang turn and become surprise to see Professor Oak at the doorway
"I think it's a good one." he said
"Professor Oak?" Green said in shock
"What are you doing here?" Ash asked
Ash's mother, Delia comes in too
"Hi, Ash. Surprised to see me, too?" she asked
"Mom!?" Ash asked
Gerald and Jennifer then came in the restaurant. They were dressed in some beach attires
"Hello, son" Gerald greeted
"Hi Jacob!" Jennifer greeted
"Mom, Dad!?" Jake said in surprise
"What are all of you doing here!?" Ash asked
"We'll explain that later. Look at this." Professor Oak said as he shows the gang an article from a magazine. "The annual Beach Beauty and Pokémon Costume Contest."
"It's happening today" Misty said
"A beach beauty contest sounds excellent!" Brock said
"How is this gonna help us, Professor?" Jake asked
"The contest draws thousands of people each year, and most of those people get hungry. They'll all be looking for a place to eat, so why not advertise this place? You'll cleanup, and you'll have the money you need by the end of tomorrow" explained Professor Oak
Both Jennifer and Gerald nod their heads at this along with Delia
"That's a good idea, Professor" Jake said
"I'd like to enter the beauty contest." Misty said
"You should, Misty. There are cash prizes for both the beauty and the costume contests." Professor Oak said. He then turns to Green "What about you, Green? Do you want to enter?"
Green blushes in embarrassment. "I don't think I feel comfortable about that"
"That's okay, Green. You don't have to compete if you don't want to" Jake said
This made Green smile
"Well, our money days are over" Ash said
Everyone cheers at this
"Alright, everyone. Let's get to it!" Jake said
"That's the spirit, son!" Gerald cheered
The gang then got down to business. Pidgeotto, Spearow, and Beedrill begins to dropping off flyers for the beauty contest for all of the beach goers to look at. Then, the beauty contest began as everyone was coming to it.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we're happy to announce that the Porta Vista Beach Beauty and Pokémon Costume Contest will soon begin! There's a thousand dollar prize for the winner of each category! It's not to late to sign up, so hurry and enter!" Brock announced
Soon everyone begins to enter
"Yay! Professor Oak was right! The place is packed!" Ash said
"This is perfect!" Misty added
"We really did good out there" Jake added
"No doubt about it" Green said
"And I'll be able to pay Brutella her money!" Moe said as he gets teary eyed
Nearby, Brutella was growling angrily at the successful plan the gang has came up with. Then as everyone was getting settled, Jake and Green were catching up with Gerald and Jennifer. They were sitting next to Ash, Delia, Professor Oak, and Moe
"So, these are your parents, Jake?" Green asked
"Yep. Green, this is my mom and dad, Jennifer and Gerald Serling. Mom, dad, this is my friend, Green" Jake said as he introduced them to each other
"Hi, Mr. and Mrs. Serling. It's so nice to meet you" Green greeted
"The pleasure is all ours, Green" Gerald said
"Jacob, you never told us you have a girlfriend" teased Jennifer
This caused Jake and Green to blush in embarrassment
"Mom, it's not like that! We're just friends!" Jake said
'At least for now' thought Green
"Calm down, Jake. She's just messing with you" Gerald assured
"Anyway, why are you guys here?" Jake asked after shaking off the blush
"Well, after being at home all the time, we thought we could go out to take a little vacation" Gerald answered
"Just as we were doing that, Delia and Professor Oak came to us. They invited us to Porta Vista and here we are." Jennifer added
"Wow" Green said in awe
"Just out of curiosity, do you two and Ash's mom know each other?" Jake asked
"Of course, son. We were actually childhood friends with Delia" Gerald replied
"That's interesting to know" Jake said
"So, honey. How is your journey? Did you capture any Pokémon lately?" Jennifer asked
"As a matter of fact, I did. I actually captured 7 Pokémon. Plus I also have three gym badges" Jake replied
"That's great, son. You're aiming to enter in the Pokémon League just like I did. I'm so proud" Gerald said
Jake nods his head. Then the contest begins
"Welcome, everybody, the Porta Vista Beach Beauty and Pokémon Costume Contest is about to begin! Now, here's our first contestant!" Brock announced
The curtain opens to reveal Misty. As she was walking down the stage, everyone cheers for her
"This is totally embarrassing and degrading, but we need the money." the Cerulean City trainer said
"This is Misty, the lovely and talented water Pokémon trainer, who's sure making a big splash today. Now let's look at the costume she and her Pokémon have created!" Brock announced
Just as he said that, Ash's Squirtle on Misty's Starmie descends from the sky. They look like an alien on a UFO
"Well, this is a very imaginative costume! It's Starmie and Squirtle as extraterrestrials in their flying saucer!" Brock announced
Ash's Squirtle then shoots a little Water Gun which sprinkles over Misty
"Great job, Misty!" Brock said
"Wow. That was kinda nice" Gerald said in amazement
"Yeah" Jennifer agreed
"I've got to give Squirtle and Starmie credit for that out of this world performance. Misty was not too shabby either" Jake said
"Bulbasaur" Bulbasuar said
"I sure am lucky I'm not on that stage" Green said with relief
Jake just shook his head at her in amusement
"And next we have, two Pokémon calling themselves the rocket boosters dressed as a Legendary Pokémon" Brock announced in confusion
"They're from Team Rocket!" Ash yelled
Just then, Ekans and Koffing come out of the curtain. Ekans was wrapped on Koffing's head as the latter was wearing a seawead over it's body
Jake, his parents, Green, and Bulbasaur can sweat drop at this
'You've gotta be kidding me!' thought Jake
"This is a very interesting costume. I believe it's suppose to be Omastar. And the Pokémon are Ekans and Koffing" Brock announced
"Get lost!" someone yelled as he kicks the two Pokémon off the stage. It was revealed to be Gary Oak and his cheerleaders.
"It's Gary!" Ash yelled in shock
"And now we have a surprise guest appearance by Gary Oak, an up and coming Pokémon trainer, accompanied by a squad of his adoring and adorable fans!" Brock announced
"I forgot to mention that my grandson came along with us." Professor Oak said
"That's great." Ash said infuriated
"Is that the Gary you were talking about earlier?" Green asked Jake
"Yep. That's him alright" Jake replied as he narrows his eyes
"Bulbasaur" Bulbasaur said with a glare
"Ash, I know you're out there in the crowd somewhere! But I didn't come here to make you jealous of me, Ash! I came here so that some of my beautiful fan club members could make you jealous of me!" Gary taunted on the mic
"Gary! Gary! He's our man! He'll trash Ash! We know he can!" his cheerleaders cheered
"Thank you, fans! Great cheer! I wrote that one myself, Ashy!" Gary said as he insults Ash
This made Ash vey furious
"We'll see who trashes who!" he yelled as he runs off
"Oh boy" Jake said as he takes off after his best friend.
"Saur?" Bulbasaur said as it watches it's trainer go
"Not one, not two, but six beautiful girls on stage all at once! Choosing the most beautiful is gonna be tough, but it's a good kind of tough!" Brock announced as the crowd goes wild
"With a buildup like that, none of the judges will give me a second look." Misty sighed as she watches this from backstage.
Meanwhile, Ash made his way onto the stage to confront Gary
"I'm not gonna let you stand up here in front of all these people and insult me like that! I challenge you to a battle, right now!" he yelled
"I'd love to, but I only brought my fans with me." Gary said
"You're just chicken!" Ash yelled
"Why would I be scared of having a battle with an amateur trainer like you?" Gary asked tauntingly
"I'll...!" Ash began. Until Jake comes up and pulls him back
"Chill Ash! Don't let him get to you!" Jake said
Brock then comes up too
"Yeah. Take it easy, Ash. Don't pay any attention to what he says." the former Pewter Gym Leader said
"Brock's right. Gary may talk tough, but he's still a rookie like us" Jake replied
"But, Brock, Jake, you heard what he.." Ash protested
" I don't know how you'll ever control your Pokémon if you can't even control yourself." Gary taunted Ash
This earns him a growl from Ash
'Jake was right. He is arrogant. Not to mention, rude' thought Green as she watches with a glare
Suddenly, a large Gyarados appeared from the water and begins to scare the everyone.
"Hey! What's that?!" asked Ash
"It's a Gyarados!" one of the beach goers cried as they ran away from it
Jake takes a look at the Gyarados. He notices some wheels under it
"Wait a minute. This is not a real Gyarados!" he said
Ash also looks at it and gasps as he sees that Jake was right
"You're right, Jake. Can you hand me the mic?" Ash asked
"You got it!" Jake said as he gives Ash the microphone
"Just stay calm, everybody! That thing's not a real Gyarados, it's a fake! It's a phony! It's just a phony Gyarados!" Ash said in the mic
This caused everyone to stop panicking as they got a closer look at the Gyarados.
"Good work, Ash" Jake said
Ash nods his head at him
"Team Rocket is trying to ruin the contest and scare everybody away! We're not gonna let em!" Ash said
"What he said!" Jake added
This earned them a smile from Misty, Ash's Pikachu, Jake's Bulbasaur, Brock, Jennifer, Gerald, Green, Delia, and Professor Oak
"You tell them, boys!" Gerald said
"My son!" Delia said as she looks at Ash proudly
"He's quite a boy" Professor Oak remarked
Suddenly, the Gyarados sub then shoots out a missile
"Incoming missile!" Jake yelled as he saw this
"It's heading this way!" Brock yelled
"So now what are you going to do, Ash, Jake? Freak out?" Gary asked
"Nope. Just leave it to us" Jake said
"Yeah" Ash said
"Ash, Jake. It looks like one of those heat seeking missiles" Brock pointed
"No sweat. Ready to do this, Jake?" Ash asked as he turns his cap around
"Oh yeah" Jake replied
"I choose you, Charmander! Pidgeotto!" Ash yelled as he lets them out
"Spearow, come out!" Jake yelled as he lets Spearow out
Pidgeotto and Spearow grab Charmander by a shoulder and flew it over to the missile.
"Okay Charmander, Flamethrower!" Ash yelled
Charmander did just that. It fired Flamethrower at the missile causing it to redirect to the Gyarados sub. Team Rocket saw this and then drives away with the missile hot on their tail. They headed straight for Brutella's Ocean Chateau.
"Stay away! Don't come any closer! A bomb's right behind you!" Brutella yelled
But seeing them get closer forced Brutella up the stairs. Just as the Gyarados sub crashes into the restaurant the missile exploded sending the Team Rocket trio and Brutella flying.
"We're blasting off again!" they cried
"Whoa!" Brutella yelled
Everyone cheered as they watched this. Ash and Jake then gives each other a hi-five for their victory.
With the event over, Ash, Jake and the gang were waving goodbye to Moe who is on his boat
"See ya, Moe!" Ash said
"Goodbye!" Misty yelled
"Take care of yourself!" Green yelled
"Good luck on your trip!" Jake added
"Thanks for everything!" Brock called
"So long kids! Goodbye Pikachu and Bulbasaur! And thanks for helping make my dream come true! I'll never forget you! Good luck on your Pokémon journey!" Moe called back as he waved back
"Thanks Moe!" Ash called
"And good luck to you too! Make your dream a reality!" Jake added
"Bulbasaur!" Bulbasaur said as he waves goodbye
Everyone bids Moe goodbye as he sailed the ship out to the open sea. They then see Professor Oak, Delia, Gerald, and Jennifer off as well
"We got to get going too, Mom" Ash told Delia
"I know" Delia said as she was holding a trophy
"Yeah. It was great to catch up with you too, mom and dad. But now we got to continue our journey" Jake said
"Thank you, Jacob. It was good to see you again too" Jennifer said with a tear in her eye
"Take care, son. You and Ash look out for each other, okay" Gerald said
Jake and Ash nods their heads
"And let us know if you and Green start dating" Jennifer teased
This caused Jake and Green to blush
"MOM!" Jake yelled in embarrassment
This caused everyone to laugh
"We're gonna make you proud of us" Ash said as he and Jake look at their parents
And with that, the group parted ways with the grown ups. Seeing Jake walk away causes Jennifer to tear up
"Are you okay, honey?" Gerald asked
"Yeah. I'm really gonna miss him" Jennifer said
"It's okay, Jen. Jake can take care of himself. He's got Ash, his friends, and his Pokémon with him. He'll make us proud" Gerald assured
Jennifer smiled at her husband as he said that. As the group were walking through the beach, Green then walks up to Jake and Bulbasaur
"Your parents seem nice" Green said to him
"I know. Though I am curious to meet your parents" Jake said
"Maybe when the time is right, 'Jacob'" Green replied with a wink
"I guess my mom must be rubbing off on you" Jake replied with a blush
