It had been two weeks since Tommy became a ranger for the fourth time. Tommy and Kimberly were searching for the pink gem. But, so far they weren't having any luck. Maybe they weren't looking in the right spot. A new boy by the name of Trent moved to town a few weeks ago and he was working at the cyberspace. He also immediately caught Kira's eye.

Tommy and Kimberly went to the cyber space to hear Kira sing. They noticed that Trent was drawing and he had a talent for it. Suddenly, Anton Mercer walked in. Trent's hands started to shake and his pencil fell to the floor. He shoved his sketch pad away as Anton gave him an angry look.

"Anton, I can't believe you are alive," Tommy said as he walked over to him."Do you know anything about Smitty?"

"No, I don't-"

"-why didn't you call to let me know you were okay?" Tommy asked.

"Tommy, everyone moves on with their life," Anton stated as he looked at Tommy with disgust. "Take a look at yourself. You didn't care about me."

"Yes, I did," Tommy corrected as Kimberly walked over to them.

"I see you are still with the girl you talked so much about," Anton said in a cold voice as he glared at Kimberly. "I guess you too are married-"

"Actually, we are engaged," Kimberly corrected as she tok hold of Tommy's hand. "We are getting married in the near future."

"Your girlfriend mysteriously appeared on the island that day," Anton reminded him. "All you cared about was escaping and saving Kimberly."

"Anton, how did you know she appeared on the island-"

"-Tommy, I saw tryannodrones bringing her in," Anton hissed as he dropped his brief case. "She was screaming for you and you came to her defense. You did not care about me."

"I called for you and you didn't answer," Tommy quickly replied. "I assumed you had gotten out. When the island exploded I didn't see anyone else. I assumed that Kim and I were they only ones who made it off the island. For years, I thought you were dead."

"If you really cared you would have called-"

"-Anton, he tried calling your cellphone many times for a week ," Kimberly interrupted taking hold of Tommy's hand. "You never answered. What was he to think? I have always cared about you and still do-"

"-Tommy, it doesn't matter now," Anton remarked in an angery tone and he started to walk off. "You chose you path and I chose mine. Right now, your job is to teach my son Trent. His parents went on a dig and went inside a cave and they never made it out. I have had him ever since he was three. When I took him in, I swore I would see that he was a successful business man like me. And I want you two to do me a favor. Trent thinks he can draw. But, that isn't going to pay his bills. So, please don't encourage him to draw."

The following day, Tommy took his class for a dinosaur dig and he asked Kimberly to accompany the class. But, just as they were walking out the door, Randall was dressed in hiking attire. At the dig sight Randall stayed very close to Kimberly and Tommy. She noticed that they were holding hands. She never could understand why Tommy chose Kimberly anyway. She was so much more attractive than Kimberly. She could tell Kimberly didn't have big breasts. She must have wore an A cup instead of a C cup. Randall thought she was better built than Kimberly.

"Dr. Oliver, how long have you been dating Ms. Hart?" Randall asked.

"We dated all through high school and college," Tommy answered as she walked over to him. She tried to take hold of his hand, but he pulled it away. "Why do you keep trying to flirt with me?"

"I just don't see what you see in her-"

"-I see a lot in her," Tommy interrupted through clenched teeth. "She loves me for who I am. She is the sweetest girl that I have ever met. When I first met her, I knew it was love at first sight. This girl has stuck by me, when no one else did."

" How nice," Randall remarked when she pushed Kimberly down an embankment. She smirked as Kimberly tumbled over the small hill and hit the ground hard.

"I will with you later!" Tommy threatened when he ran to Kimberly's aide.

"Devin, this is prefect for the gossip column," Cassdy said as they looked behind a rock. She noticed that Devin was filming the whole thing on his camera. "We have a love triangle. And it is obvious that Randall has been rejected."

Tommy ran over to Kimberly and helped her up. Her jeans and pink tee shirt very covered in dirt. They felt something under their feet crumble and they fell into a ten foot hole. Kimberly got up and dusted herself off. It was a 10 to 15 foot hole and there was no way to climb out on their own without help.

A pink light suddenly appeared out of nowhere. It was the same light, they saw when the pink dino gem go flying. This had to be it! Kimberly made her way to the light and picked up the gem. Waves of pink energy started flow into her body as she felt the gem bond with her.

"I'm glad we finally found the gem," Tommy said as he walked over to her. "For awhile, I was afraid it had fell into the hands of evil."

Kimberly took hold of Tommy's hand and their feet were no longer touching the ground. This was her power! She could levitate! As thry started float up, Tommy turned invisible so they would not be seen. Just as they touched the ground, the bus was loading up. They quickly turned visable again and headed to the bus.

Author's note:

In the actually show, I remember seeing tension between Anton and Tommy when the island was mentioned. I think Anton was hurt over how things turned out during the internship and becoming Mesogog. But, if Kim was in the show, I could see Tommy trying to get her off the island and getting her to safety. I think that would caused Anton to feel mift that Tommy didn't come looking for him.

I thought the episode beneath the surface was the perfect time for Kim to become the pink ranger. I can totally see her finding the gem on the dig site. I thought Randall questioning Tommy about his relationship with Kimberly would have been much better than protecting her from the tryannodrones.
