Johnny glares at Robin as she walks off the elevator. She doesn't even notice his reaction, prissily telling the guard, "Will you announce me, please?"

With a look that could kill, he asks, "Are you sure? They may not want to see you."

As though actually seeing him for the first time, she asks, genuinely curious, "Why?" Then, she shakes her head, "Don't be silly. Sonny told me I'm always welcome."

"Your funeral." He mutters under his breath as he knocks on the door. When he gets the okay, he opens the door, sticking his head in, "Ms. Scorpio is here, boss. Should I let her in?"

Robin scoffs as Sonny looks at Brenda, an eyebrow raised in question. At her hesitant nod, he says, "Yes, that's fine. Let her in."

Glaring at Johnny as she walks into the penthouse, Robin tells him with her nose in the air, "I told you he would want to see me."

Brenda rolls her eyes, "Robin, you have some nerve. After everything you did to Jason at his wedding, the things you said to me and Sonny, you should come in here apologizing." Crossing her arms, she gives a pointed glare to her friend, "How could you do that to Jason? I can't stand him, and I'd never be so cruel."

Robin shakes her head, then as though instructing a child, she tells her friend, "You don't understand. Jason doesn't know it's wrong unless we tell him. I had to warn him."

"Unless you tell him?! You are freaking kidding me, right…" Brenda's eyes are wide in disbelief.

Sonny looks at the young woman he has felt incredibly protective of since losing Stone. What they went through together has created a softness for her that's hard to see past. However, just like when Jason had confided that Robin instructed him how to act in their relationship, her words strike him as being off. Placing his hand on Brenda's shoulder, he stills her outburst.

Gently, he tells Robin, "It may not be what you want to hear, but Jason is in love with his wife. He is starting a family. You need to respect…"

Robin shakes her head emphatically, her words forceful as she argues, "He isn't in love with her, he's just confused. He doesn't have a lot of experience with relationships, so he's just confusing sex for love." Sonny is concerned as he sees that she won't even consider any other reality. She is delusional in her fixed belief.

He walks to stand in front of her. With exasperation, he scolds her, "You are talking about him like he is a child. He is a fully grown man who is capable of making his own choices. And as hard as it is to hear, he has chosen Carly. You have to respect…"

"Don't!" She points her finger at them, her eyes a little wild. "She is just using him. Can't you see that she's going to hurt him? And there's no way that baby is his. He promised me he would never sleep with her again. Jason would never break his promise to me. The baby has to be Tony…"

"Do you hear yourself?!" Brenda yells. Her arms are crossed and her fists are clenched. "Even I know Jason never lies. What, he has concocted some elaborate scam with Carly? For what reason? Just because it's not what you want doesn't mean it's a lie. And you know what, you're wrong about Carly. She's not the wicked witch to your innocent Dorothy. She's a good person, and she's been a good friend to me. And she and Jason are good together, happy. If you would just…"

"I can't believe you are defending that tramp! How could you be friends with the slut who stole my boyfriend? She is just manipulating all of you. Trying to convince you that her baby…"

Sonny yells out, "Stop! You don't have to like it Robin, but you are going to stop making accusations about Jason's child and his wife. This behavior is not fitting for the young girl I so admired as she overcame the loss of Stone and a terrible diagnosis. You are better than hurting Jason, than lashing out because you are hurt by his decision. And, Robin, he has made his decision and sworn to it before God. Do not be the kind of person who interferes with a man's marriage and family. It is best for the child…"

"Nothing to do with Carly will ever be best for that child."

Brenda flinches back, "That's cruel."

Robin's face has an ugly sneer as she counters, "No, it would be cruel to let her keep conning Jason. Why can't you understand that she's just a liar who's trying to use Jason. He needs our help. We have to show him the right path for him. He still has so much to learn and…"

"Oh my God, Robin! Do you hear yourself?" Brenda stares at her friend like she's lost her mind. "He's not some toddler who has to do everything the way you think it should be done. I love you, but you sound like the one who needs help. You have to accept that it's really over and that he's moved on. I'm sorry…"

"No. You will be the one who is sorry. You'll all see." She yells, pointing her finger at them. Then, she turns and stomps out of the apartment.

Brenda looks at Sonny with concern shining in her eyes, "This isn't going to be good is it?"

Carly watches as Jason walks out of the ocean towards her. She feasts her eyes on the sight of his bare skin dripping water down to his navy board shorts. His chest is a sculpture of muscle, from his broad shoulders to the delicious V that leads into his waistband. His time in the sun has left him a tan she envies, like a bronzed Greek god. She gets a big smile on her face, thinking that the scrumptious man in front of her is all hers. He strides toward her like a predator stalking its prey, and she shivers as his eyes devour the sight of her in a skimpy red bikini.

Her body has begun changing with her pregnancy, her breasts getting fuller and her hips widening. For Jason, watching her body change to protect and grow their child is arousing as hell. He doesn't know if it's a biological instinct kicking in, making his mate more attractive, or if it's just Carly, but he can't keep his hands off her. His favorite thing has become mapping the changes, every night running his hands and mouth over every part of her body, learning her new curves by touch alone. He's never felt something as rewarding as watching her blossom both physically and emotionally. A little more everyday, she has opened up with him, allowing herself to trust in his love for her and believe in the family and future they're building.

As he lies down on the double lounger beside her, his wet hands trail over her skin. She shivers more from the heat he's creating in her than from the coolness of the water. His hand finally settles on the barely visible baby bump as he leans down to kiss her, a soft sweet kiss that tastes like the salty ocean. Pulling back, his eyes lovingly trace her face, "How are you doing?"

She gives him an exasperated look, "You mean in the twenty minutes since you got in the ocean?" Her hand cups his cheek, her thumb stroking his skin. She is moved by the attention and care he shows her. His eyes are always searching for her, always assessing her safety and comfort. She doesn't think she will get used to being Jason's focus, his priority, even if they make it to ninety. As foreign as it feels, she has come to crave the feeling his affection creates in her. It's a feeling of safety and home. "I have never been better in my entire life. We are in paradise, and I'm with the man I love." She looks at him seriously, "I hope you know that you make me so happy, that I love you with all my heart."

She gets now what he meant when he said she helped him understand what home was, that she was his home. Though she vividly remembers the home she grew up in, it was one of constant wanting and shame, and it's something she's run from her entire life. But Jason and the family they are creating together are the home she has always dreamed of, the one she longed for in her foolish childhood fantasies. A man who loves her, who is her best friend, who respects and likes her exactly the way she is. Add to that the fact that she is so sexually satisfied she's one big pulsing endorphin, and Carly is happier than she even thought was possible.

They have been here for a week and it's been divine. When they are able to tear themselves from the bedroom of the gorgeous villa, they have a mile of pristine white beach all to themselves, as well as their own private pool and hot tub. It's more luxurious than anything Carly has ever experienced.

Carly had even convinced Jason to do a little skinny dipping in the ocean at dusk one evening. He had balked at first. His hesitation had less to do with modesty and more to do with the rage that fills him at the thought of anyone else seeing her the way he sees her. It's the most captivating thing he's ever seen, the way she breaks open when she finds completion in his arms, entirely vulnerable and fully exposed. It's different even from their earlier sexual encounters. Then, she would find her pleasure, giving as good as she got, but her walls stayed up, sharing only glimpses beneath the surface. Now, when she is in his arms, all barriers disappear. Any space between them feels constraining and claustrophobic, both wanting only to get as close to each other as humanly possible, even emotionally. He jealously guards this view of her, and the thought of anyone else seeing her that way moves him almost to violence.

She had finally convinced him to make love to her in the ocean, telling him that on the off chance someone happened to look out there, they'd be in shadow. Though, slipping off her bathing suit and diving naked into the surf had been pretty convincing all on its own. And once they had gotten deep enough that they were both submerged, his feet braced on the ocean floor with Carly's naked body clinging to him, he had thoroughly enjoyed her idea, all misgivings lost to the pleasure.

He looks at her now, relaxed and wearing a sleepy smile, and he feels his heart ache with love for her. Leaning down for another soft kiss, he pulls back to ask her, "How do you feel about going out to the casino tonight? My only work duty for our honeymoon is to check in on the casino, and I don't want to leave you for even a second." Her lips tilt up in a happy, content smile, and her fingers brush lazily over his skin. The sight of her smile and the feel of her caressing his skin threatens to pull him under the wave of desire crashing through him, that seems to always be crashing through him when she is near. Rolling over to lie halfway propped above her, he asks, "So, what do you say? You can get all dressed up and wear some pretty jewelry. And I get to have the most beautiful woman on the planet on my arm." He places kisses along her generous cleavage displayed in the skimpy red fabric, ending with a kiss against her pounding heart. "Let me spoil my wife tonight to a night of luxury."

"That sounds amazing, husband." She gives him a bright smile, but it dims a moment later, "Only Brenda didn't pack anything for…"

"It's been taken care of. A dress has been sent over from the boutique in the casino, as well as all the necessary accessories." He nuzzles into her neck, nipping her with his teeth as he admits, "I even got you some jewelry to add to your growing collection. If there's anything else you need, just let me know and I'll have it delivered." His hands never stop touching her, running over the sun kissed skin that tantalizes him. He can't get enough of her; after having her in his bed for the past month and a half, he figured the craving for her would have eased. Instead, the need for her is only stronger, bordering on obsession. He's not sure even another eighty years will be enough to quench his appetite for her.

The pregnancy hormones bring tears to her eyes when she whispers in a choked up voice, "Jase, you take such good care of me. Thank you."

Instead of answering, he kisses her deeply until they are both gasping for breath. Even with a heaving chest, his lips and tongue return again and again to her skin. The taste and feel of her is never enough.

With smoldering eyes, he asks her, "Is it a date?"

She gives him a sultry smile, "I have conditions."

Knowing by her expression that he'll enjoy all of her conditions, he agrees, "Anything you want."

She bites her lip, drawing his gaze to her mouth that's swollen and pouty from his kisses, "I'm feeling hot and achy, and just wet and sticky all over. I think you need to take me inside to thoroughly check me over, make sure I'm not coming down with heatstroke."

He lets out a rumble as her words bring him to painful arousal. He stands up so abruptly, it gives Carly a start. She gets a proud smile when she sees evidence of his very aroused state that his quick rise puts in front of her face. Her hand reaches for his length, her fingers teasing against the fabric of his board shorts. He freezes for a moment, a moan rumbling from deep in his chest. Then, he leans down and lifts her into his arms, her arms wrapping around his neck.

With a scorching look, he asks, "You said conditions. What else?"

"I need to take a shower. It's usually a one person job, but all this sun and heat has me feeling a little lightheaded." Her lips kiss across his face until reaching his ear, then she takes his earlobe between her teeth, biting just hard enough to cause him to freeze for a moment and let out a groan, before soothing the sting with her tongue. "I'd be all wet and naked." Pulling back to give him a sexy smile, "Don't you want to get naked and protect little ole me from a wet slippery floor?"

He groans, and then lets out a chuckle, "That was very effective." With a little extra pep in his step, he grumbles, "How on earth is that working so…?"

She lets out a deep laugh as Jason crashes through the front door, making it only as far as the front parlor, which luckily has a lock on the door since Jason isn't making it farther than that either way. It's like being married is an aphrodisiac that ramps his arousal to higher highs. It was already nearly impossible to keep his hands off her before, but now… the need to be inside her, to be as connected to her as two people can be, to watch again as she comes apart and gives him her soul, laying it in the safety of his, is a need as fierce as breathing. It's a physical pain when he's not touching her, his entire body longing for the next contact with an intensity that keeps the longing for her always there, always beating inside him.

Sitting them down in a large, wingback armchair, Jason pulls her down straddling him. Carly loves him like this, hungry and desperate for her. Truthfully, she loves Jason every way she can get him, but when he's like this, wild in his desire, it creates the sweetest ache in her. His hands and lips are everywhere, like he can't make up his mind what he wants to touch, and his hips jerk up into her heat, desperate to get past the meager barriers between them. He makes the sexiest growls in his throat that have her rocking in his lap, rubbing against him like a cat desperate for affection. Finally, thank God, only moving clothes as far as necessary to get inside her, he notches himself in her center. Both moan as Carly presses herself down onto his length, both feeling the relief of being connected again. He stills her when she's fully seated on him. They lock eyes as Jason professes with awe in his voice, "I love you. I love you so…"

He's cut off when Carly crashes her mouth into his. And as they chase heaven, their eyes remain locked on each other's, unable to look away. And as Carly falls apart in his arms, Jason is captivated once again by the beautiful moment of her surrender.

"Tony!" Robin yells out, chasing down the older doctor in one of the corridors outside the doctors' personal offices. He stops, turning around to look at her with a smile. She wears a look of heartbroken innocence, though her eyes are a little unhinged.

"Robin, how nice to see you. What can I do for you today?" Tony asks kindly.

She shakes her head, a tear falling from the corner of her eye. "Can we talk in private? I'm not comfortable…"

"Of course." He agrees, his hand goes to her elbow, guiding her. "We can use my office." Leading her into one of the rooms off the corridor, he shuts the door behind them. "Now, why don't you tell me what is bothering you. Is it a complication with your HIV…"

"No, it's nothing like that. It's Jason…"

Tony lets out a sigh, his shoulders slumping, "I guess you heard he married Carly, that they are having a baby… I'm so sorry. I know how tough it is, believe me. But, you are better off. Jason is incapable of loving anyone. I have always thought you could do bet…"

She cuts him off, not wanting to hear anything negative about the man she loves. "It's all a lie. He isn't that baby's father. I know that for a fact. He loves me and he promised me he wouldn't sleep with her again. Jason would never break his promise to me."

Tony looks at her with sympathetic eyes, "Robin…"

"No. Think about it, Tony. The two of you have been fighting, and she knows if she fights you in court, she'll lose. So, she asked Jason to help her keep your baby from you. And look at where she is now, she went from a one room apartment to a penthouse. It's all part of her gold-digging plan to steal Jason from me." Her voice is sure in her convictions.

"Maybe," he whispers, his eyes focused inward. She watches with satisfaction as seeds of doubt are planted in Carly's ex. There's no way that tramp is getting her Jason. She'll make sure of it.
