The door bangs open in an old, abandoned warehouse on the waterfront just outside of Port Charles the day after Carly is kidnapped. The room is an old storage closet that is completely bare except for a metal chair bolted to the floor. The concrete walls are cracked, and a myriad of colors, including several reddish brown stains that look suspiciously like blood, are painting the walls in a grotesque mural.

Robin sits cuffed to the chair with thick metal chains and cuffs at her ankles and handcuffs connecting her wrists behind her back, her eyes wide and scared as she peers towards the door. Other than a little dirt and sweat, she looks none the worse from her overnight accommodations. When no one comes through, she yells out, "Whoever you are, you're making a big mistake. I have Sonny Corinthos's protection. When he finds out that you've taken me, he's going to have you killed."

With a laugh, Luke walks through the door. Sonny's men had taken Robin the night before, but Luke let her stew overnight before finally deciding to talk to her. When he's standing in front of her, he drawls with a smirk, "Darlin', Sonny is very aware you're here, and I have his full approval."

She narrows her eyes at him, "You're lying! He would never…"

"See, that's where you're wrong. Your buddy, Sonny, feels beholden to my niece. Makes him very protective. Then, you factor in her being pregnant with Jason's baby, the man who is like a brother to him, and it leaves a very motivated Sonny who's not happy with your behavior, Missy." He almost looks cheerful as he says it, and then his face hardens, "You made a big mistake when you came after my niece. And now, she's been kidnapped by my ex-bro-in-law, who I hear you've been spending a lot of time with. That makes me think you know more about his plan and his whereabouts than you've shared. I need answers, and you are going to give them to me, little girl!"

"I don't have any idea what you're talking about. Knowing Carly, she probably just ran off." Robin says snottily, with her nose in the air.

Luke begins walking around her, close enough to intimidate, and growls out, "The surveillance video where she was drugged and shoved in the back of a car says otherwise. So, stop trying to bullshit me. I know a liar when I see one."

She narrows her eyes at him, "With Carly for a niece, I imagine you have to."

Without reacting to her words, Luke's tone turns pointed as he remarks, "Now that ex boyfriend of yours, Jason, he's about as angry as I have ever seen him that Tony took his wife. He's killing mad, and he's got it in his head that you helped Tony get to Caroline once, so maybe you helped him again."

"Jason would never hurt me. He loves me." She argues, her fists clenching.

He lets out a laugh, "Darlin', if it were up to him, you'd already be dead. Not that I'm opposed to killing you, but for the moment, you're still useful. The only thing keeping him from coming down here to kill you is that we need information. So, if I were you, I'd start talking."

"You're lying! I shouldn't be surprised since you're Carly's uncle. Everything she touches is rotten." Robin sneers.

He gives a shrug, "Believe what you want." His voice gets intense, "But you are going to answer some questions for me. There was a call from the front desk of the hospital to their place right before Caroline got abducted. You wouldn't know anything about that, would you?"

Her eyes shift, and her nose goes up in the air, "Of course not."

Luke laughs, "You are a shit liar, little girl. So, that's a yes. Did you call her?" She doesn't say anything, just looks him in the eyes with a mutinous expression. Luke tilts his head looking contemplative, "That's a no. Did you get someone else to call her?" She gives the slightest twitch of her lip, and he frowns, "Interesting. Did they know they were setting my niece up to be kidnapped?" She looks down, feeling exposed at how easily he can read her. Luke lets out a whistle, "Damn, that's cold. You got some poor unsuspecting nurse to help kidnap a mobster's wife. Did you not care that it could get her killed? It was a her, right?"

Robin looks back up and shakes her head, "Jason and Sonny aren't like that. They don't go around hurting people, killing people, especially not innocent women!"

Luke's brows lower and he tilts his head, "You are cuckoo clock level crazy. They're freaking mobsters. What do you think that means, that they sit around talking about their feelings and singing kumbaya? You take a mobster's wife, his pregnant wife, and you have cut your life expectancy to days if not hours. You said it yourself, you have Sonny's protection, so without his permission, touching you is a death sentence. Tony is going to die. If you don't start talking, you're also going to die. Now, you're right about your patsy, she's probably just going to get the crap scared outta her by some low level enforcer whose job it is to make sure you're tellin' us the truth. But thank you for confirming it's a chick."

Luke walks up to her, standing only inches away, close enough to smell her fear as he pulls out a knife. It's big and sharp, meant to be intimidating. He trails it through her hair as he circles her, making the ends of her hair shift and sway. His voice is sharp as he threatens, "I don't think you understand the seriousness of your situation. You seem to think just because I'm not currently willing to kill your skinny ass, that I'm not willing to do some damage." He runs the blade across her cheek, leaving the slightest scratch across her skin in the exact spot Robin had scratched his sister. It's only deep enough to bring forth a couple wellings of blood. "But you've hurt my baby sister, and you've hurt my niece. I'm looking for a little payback." He runs his knife across her arm, in the same place Carly wore a painful bruise from Tony. This one is deep enough to spill a few drops down her arm. "You are going to tell me everything you know about the slimy bastard, or I'm going to make that pretty skin really ugly."

She's shaking at this point with tears flowing down her cheeks. She begins yelling desperately, "I don't know anything. I don't know where he is! I swear! He has a right to his baby! And Carly can't take Jason from me! He can't love someone like her!"

"There's the truth. That's a good start." He runs the blade across her other arm, adding some matching blood drops to her other arm. Then, leaning over her shoulder, he whispers threateningly in her ear, "Now, let's talk details."

Jason is losing his mind. Carly has been gone for two days. He knows it to the hour and minute because it's the worst form of torture he's ever had to endure. He feels like his heart has been torn from his chest, leaving only pain and fear.

He hasn't slept since she was taken, his mental agony too intense to allow for rest. And the thought of laying in their bed without her is enough to break him. Lack of sleep is beginning to make him fuzzy at the edges, but he knows his body will eventually win the battle and force him to rest. But as much as he would welcome the momentary relief from the pain and fear and self-recrimination rattling around inside him, he can feel Carly out there, calling for him to save her, to save them. Sleep can wait.

He and his men have torn the areas surrounding Port Charles apart looking for Carly, and had gotten a tip about an hour ago about an SUV twenty miles south of Port Charles, on a wooded gravel road just off the interstate into New York City. As he pulls his bike up beside the vehicle, Johnny and Francis pull up in another SUV.

Jason scans the area noting that there are additional tire tracks to a mid size sedan that was parked near where the SUV has been abandoned. He looks at the footprints around the vehicle, and frowns when he sees one pair of deep tracks that lead to where the other vehicle was parked. Tony had carried her, which meant she was still knocked out when he transferred her to his getaway car. He lets out a growl, wishing he could walk into the woods and howl when he thinks of her so vulnerable and in the hands of that bastard.

"Hey boss! You need to see this." Johnny calls out, his head sticking out of the driver's side door. He had been released from the hospital the same day as the attack, after the drugs wore off. It had given him additional incentive to take the good doctor down.

Jogging over, Jason finds him holding a note. Handing it over to his boss, the guard gives him a sympathetic look as he reads, 'You can't have my child. You can have the whore back when she delivers my son.' His face turns to stone as he crumples the note in his hand. He stuffs it in his pocket with force, then turns toward the woods and walks out a couple steps. He stands there clenching and unclenching his hands for a long moment, then turns around and heads back to the vehicle.

Refusing to give into the anger and fear, he moves his focus to the backseat. He finds Carly's scarf lying across the seat, partially tucked into the crack at the back of the bench. He reaches out and pulls it to him almost gently, bringing it to his face and breathing in her scent. His eyes mist, and he has to clench his jaw to fight back tears. Rubbing his hand over his face, he turns his head and his eyes land on a used syringe lying partially under the seat. Pulling it out, he wraps Carly's scarf carefully around it, and tucks it into his jacket. With one more quick check, he pulls out of the vehicle and calls for Johnny as his phone rings. He answers, holding up his hand to the guard. "Morgan."

"Jason, get to Luke's. He's done with his interrogation." Sonny orders.

"On my way. Hey, and get Bobbie there. I need her to do something for me," he replies. At Sonny's grunt of agreement, he hangs up. Turning back to Johnny, Jason directs, "Get this back to the warehouse and have someone go over it with a fine toothed comb." Then, he jumps on his motorcycle and heads to Luke's.

Walking into the bar, Jason is surprised to see Brenda there with Sonny, sitting at a table with Luke. Reynoldo is standing by the door, looking over the otherwise empty bar. Luke has posted a closed sign outside. Carly's friend looks almost as worried as he feels, with dark circles under her eyes and a jittery quality to her movements. He raises an eyebrow at his mentor, only to get a grumbled, "She insisted."

Brenda gives him a mutinous expression, "She's my friend. I'm not going to sit at home in the dark. You can trust me."

Jason looks sceptical, but nods. Bobbie rushes in the door behind him, apologizing in a panicked tone, "I'm sorry I'm late! This has been the morning from hell. Tell me you've got good news."

Jason shakes his head, "We found the SUV. It was dumped on a gravel road near the interstate. We will search the area, but I don't buy that he's got her there. The closer to the interstate and to the city, houses are more clumped together. You can't keep it from the neighbors that you've got a hostage. " He gives a slight smile, "Especially one as loud as my wife. My gut says he's trying to misdirect us." He pulls out the scarf with the syringe, passing the used needle over to Bobbie, but keeping the scarf and putting it back in his pocket. With anger, he adds, "I found this in the back. Can you take it to the lab and find out what's in it? I'm assuming it's the same thing he drugged Johnny with, but I'd like you to check for me."

She nods, then asks with desperation, "Did you find anything else? Any sign of our girl?"

He hesitates for a moment, sizing her up, and then pulls out the crumpled note left in the SUV and hands it to her. Tears begin streaming down her face as she reads it, her knees going weak at the pain ripping through her. Fear for her child rips through her with a ferociousness that threatens to bring her to her knees. When she wobbles, Luke goes to his sister and pulls her into a hug. She gives him the note, so he can read it, and then he lets out a string of curses that have him clinging to her tighter. There's an echo of curses when the note makes it to Sonny and Brenda.

With gritted teeth, Luke informs the room, "Robin got some chick to call Caroline and tell her that her Mama had been attacked. I scared the crap out of the person who called our girl, but she's a dead end. Robin lied to the poor girl, tricked her into doing it." He pulls back to look at Bobbie. There's regret on his face when he adds, "The only thing she knows about where that bastard of an ex bro has your daughter is that it's remote. Snotty little brat said Tony told her he's got them somewhere no one can trace to him and nowhere anyone would think to look." He turns his focus back to Jason, "So, I would have to agree that it's a mislead. I think I got everything out of Robin that she had to give, and it only took a little blood letting to get her to talk. What do we do with her now?"

All eyes turn to Sonny, but his eyes are on Jason. He sees the anguish ripping through his friend, empathizing all too well with the torment he's going through. The role Robin played in taking Carly changes things. He feels a responsibility for the blonde, not only because of how much his right hand man and the woman he loves care about her, but also because she was there for him in his moment of weakness. She could have easily used that information against him. If she was the gold digger Robin claims she is, she could easily monetize that kind of information. Instead, she had ensured that everyone bought the cover story, protecting him and the organization. She had also saved his life when he was at his most vulnerable, not only stopping him from pulling the trigger, but helping him realize he's bipolar and to get help. That's a debt that weighs on a man. Giving him the permission he's been demanding for weeks, Sonny declares, "That's up to Jason."

Brenda gasps beside him, tensing at the implication of those four words. When Sonny braves a look at her face, he sees sadness and resignation instead of the anger he feared. He puts his arm around her, pulling her in close. Both of them feel the weight of those words in a different way than everyone else in the room. As awful as she is behaving, Robin was an important person to them both. It is not a decision Sonny has come to lightly. But, the girl he cares about looks nothing like the angry, vengeful person who is hurting the people he loves. There has to come a point when loyalty isn't enough.

Jason shocks everyone when he orders, "Let her go."

"Like hell!" Luke growls at the same time Bobbie shouts, "If you do, I'm killing her!"

Jason holds up his hand, "She's still useful. Sonny, Brenda, can you keep her quiet about whatever Luke did?"

Sonny nods, "Yeah, I can. Why?"

"We are going to let her go, let her believe we bought her story, and then give her a tail. She's too wrapped up in all this for Tony not to contact her. I want her phone bugged and a 24 hour tail on her." He looks at his mother-in-law, and declares, "We are putting a guard on Lucas and you as well, for both of your safety, in case Tony tries to get near you." When she nods, with Luke giving a grateful nod of his own behind her, he asks, "Is there anyone else he would get in touch with if he needs help?"

Bobbie answers, "Lucy Coe and Felicia Jones would probably be willing to help him."

He gives a nod, "We'll get eyes and ears on them as well." He lets out a sigh, scratching his jaw as he adds, "It's time we get the police involved. I'm going to take Justus down to the police department and file a missing person report. I'm going to make it hard for him to make any moves without being spotted, and nearly impossible to get any help. I want to get Tony's face on every news station."

Brenda speaks up, "I can help with that. I know some reporters through my work at Deception." She hesitates as she suggests, "The Q's would be really helpful in that regard. I can ask Lila or Alan, both have a soft spot for Carly."

Jason gives a nod, "Thank you."

Bobbie walks over to her daughter's friend and puts her hand on her shoulder in gratitude, then advises her, "Make sure they know she's pregnant. I can get you the pictures from when he hurt her last time. The more sympathetic the public is, the more invested they are in helping us find her."

Sonny rests his hand gently over Brenda's and adds, "We can get you the surveillance footage of her kidnapping too."

Jason nods and looks intently at each of them as he commands, "I want as many eyes as possible looking for her, and I want to make it impossible for him to hide."

"What about a reward? Appeal to people's greed. That's sure to make people look for him." Brenda asks, clasping Sonny's hand extra tightly in her anxiety. She's so grateful Sonny let her come with him. Mind you, if he had said no, she would've snuck out or bullied her way here anyway. Because knowing her pregnant friend is alone with a psycho ex who's already hurt her is driving her crazy. If she had to sit alone in that apartment knowing everyone was here, she's pretty sure she'd have a meltdown. The fact that she's been given something to contribute helps keep the crazy at bay,

"I'm willing to put up some reward money." Sonny offers, looking Jason in the eyes, "Anything you need."

"I can too," Bobbie adds.

He gives them an emotional nod. Then, clearing his throat, he thanks them, "I'm grateful." He looks down, clears his throat again, and looks back up with a wealth of expression on his normally stoic face. With determination and a hint of desperation in his voice, he insists, "We're going to find her. I am going to bring her home, I promise."

It's been six days since Tony took Carly. It's long enough that she can say for certain that her ex has officially lost his marbles. He vacillates between extreme emotions, leaving Carly feeling continually off kilter. One moment he will seem almost like the man she once thought she could build a life with, almost kind and caring, and in the next, he will be raging over her with a clenched fist.

Not once in the last six days has he left the cabin to do more than grab some firewood off the front porch. With the stupid chain announcing her every movement, it makes it incredibly difficult to be stealthy. Instead, she is going with a plan to annoy the crap out of Tony by being loud enough that anyone passing through will be able to hear her. Not that she's seen any signs of life other than squirrels, birds, and deer since she's been here, but Jason is coming for her, she's certain. It's the strangest thing, but she can feel his fear, his determination to find her like there's an invisible string attaching them.

Since she has been here, she has screamed and raved anytime he is in hearing distance, which is most of the time. She has called him every name in the book, yelling as loudly as possible. If she were smarter, she wouldn't antagonize the man who has her chained to the bed, but she refuses to sit back and behave when both her and her child's fate rests in the hands of someone who's both psychotic and delusional. She's determined to make the entire experience as painful as possible for Tony.

It is mid morning, and Carly has been making a ruckus for the last two hours. "Tony! This is insane! You have to let me go! You can't just kidnap people, you jackass! If Jason doesn't get to you first, you are going to spend the rest of your miserable life in prison. I'm personally hoping Jason finds you first, and that I get to watch as he murders the life right out of you!" Her voice is hoarse from all the yelling.

For the most part, he has been ignoring her, doing nothing more than shooting glares in her direction. At this, though, he storms out of the bedroom, pointing his finger at her, "Shut up! I don't want to hear another word out of your lying mouth!"

"I'm not going to be quiet! You have me chained to the freakin' bed! If you don't like the sound of my voice, let me go!" She's leaning forward in her rage, her eyes narrowed on Tony.

"And let you steal my child from me?!" He screams, unhinged.

"It's not your baby! It's Jason's…" She yells this desperately for what feels like the millionth time.

It's apparently the tipping point because Tony pulls back his fist, punching her in the face. She falls back, yelling in shock as her head explodes in pain. At the sound, he grabs her arms in a painful grip, and gives her a viscous shake, "I told you to shut your mouth! Why can't you just close your fucking mouth?!" He drops her to the bed, and she desperately scrambles back as far as the chain allows. Tony looks around desperately for a moment before grabbing a dish towel and a roll of duct tape, and stomping back to Carly. He grabs her foot, pulling her sharply across the bed until her mouth is in reach. Then, he shoves the rag in her mouth, tying it off behind her head. When her hands automatically reach to pull it off, he backhands her so hard she falls back against the bed in a daze. He flips her on her side and begins taping her wrists together before she can react.

"There, that should shut you up for awhile." He growls meanly, then stomps back out of the room. She hears a radio go on in the bedroom. He has turned it on as loud as possible to drown out any sounds she may make. Suddenly, she freezes as she hears her name come out of the speakers.

A female broadcaster announces in her breaking news voice, "Authorities are still on the lookout for Dr. Tony Jones, the man responsible for kidnapping Carly Morgan. Mrs. Morgan is married to Jason Morgan, formerly Quartermaine, and is approximately six months pregnant. The kidnapper is considered armed and dangerous, so if you see him, please call the authorities instead of trying to apprehend him yourself. Threats have been made by the suspect to the victim and her unborn child. The Quartermaine family is offering a very generous reward of five hundred thousand dollars to anyone who helps in the safe return of Mrs. Morgan. Everyone, please keep a lookout for this woman and her kidnapper. We are keeping her in our thoughts and prayers."

Behind the closed door, the radio suddenly shuts off and then a loud crash immediately follows. When Tony opens the door, Carly sees pieces of the radio lying scattered on the floor. Looking back up at her ex, she finds him glaring at her with hatred in his eyes. "Look what you did now, you stupid bitch! Can you believe they are painting you as the innocent victim? You?! I'm the victim! You destroyed my life! No matter what I do to you, it will never be enough to repay me for all the ways you have wrecked my life!"

Carly stares at him with wide eyes, entirely defenseless against his rage. She lets out a breath when he gives her one more evil glare and then stomps out of the house. He leaves her like that for hours, crying and bruised, losing the feeling slowly in her hands as she tries to wiggle her hands out of their binding. She shakes as she feels a real fear for her and her baby. The terror of being beaten and tied up makes her realize the precarious position she's in; she has to be quieter and more cautious. The only way to prevent herself from getting hurt, and therefore make sure the baby doesn't get hurt, is to keep quiet and play along with his crazy. When he comes back, he barely glances at her and storms once again to his room. He only takes the gag and bindings off when he gives her a sandwich for dinner. As she works feeling back into her fingers, she sends up a prayer that Jason finds her soon.
