This commission involves Midoriya Izuku and Furukawa Kamiko. Kamiko is the name decided by Dudek for the fox mutant girl from Chapter 310 of the manga. She makes a brief appearance when Izuku rescues her from a gang that mistakes her for a villain and attacks her. She is innocent, but very terrified. The gang withdraw, but not without telling her that she looks like a freak, and thus a villain. The commission takes place approximately two years after the events of the manga. Both characters are eighteen years old. It begins with some spoilers.
This story will revolve around the bigotry and racism those with mutant quirks face. If you remember Spinner, the member of the League of Villains with the reptilian appearance, he mentions in his flashback how discrimination toward him because of his appearance made him withdraw from society. In this commission, this concept of discrimination is expanded upon.
