CAPITOL TATTLER PRESENTS: The first Survivor Hunger Games cast!

If you're anything like me, you love trashy TV. I can't get enough of it, whether it's Bling my Bedroom or What Happens at the Shore. There's so much stress in life and it's nice to just tune in and turn your brain off. That's why I'm just dying with excitement about the announcement. A Hunger Games? And Survivor? Some of you might not be an ancient TV buff like me, but Survivor was like the original Hunger Games, except no one died. Not quite as dramatic, sure, but it's nice to not have that tiny little guilt in the back of my head. This year the Capitol has arranged for twenty-four Tributes- or Survivors, should I call them?- from all walks of life all over our great nation. To see how they'll work together and tailor the Games for maximum entertainment, experts have conducted a battery of studies. In this series of articles we'll be seeing just what they dug up.

DISTRICT ONE:

Our first destination is a prime piece of real estate. I mean One by that, of course, not Kendall. But who am I kidding- this boy's a cut above. I'm trying to focus on his skills but it's hard past his blue, blue eyes, sun-kissed skin, and kissable face. That's right, this boy doesn't just have kissable lips- I'd kiss him anywhere!

Kendall Delancey
Age: 18
Dream occupation: Victor
Name three of your favorite hobbies: Getting out into nature, chess, polo
How would your friends describe you: Rich, probably. It's hard not to notice. I hope they'd also say I'm friendly and not a snob. My mom says I'm very handsome. My sister says she's lying.
What is a normal day like in your family? My family's not the norm for most of Panem. I have butlers and tutors and all that stuff. It's very nice what my family's background has gotten for me, but sometimes I wonder what my life would be like if I only had things I'd earned myself.
What risks have you taken in life to make a change for the better? I guess the obvious answer is volunteering for the Games. There's also an even bigger risk I took, but it's a secret. You'll have to see if I'm here long enough to tell everyone.
What's one life experience that has prepared you for this? I think this question was mostly meant for the outliers, since all us volunteers are going to say "training".
What is the accomplishment you're most proud of? My rock collection! I don't tell just anyone about it since it's kind of silly, but I have just so many rocks. The best ones are the ones I found myself and didn't buy. I'd say my proudest rock is my rhodochrosite. It's not as flashy as some of my other rocks but it's really rare.
What is something we'd never know from looking at you? I actually don't have a girlfriend.
Who is your biggest inspiration in life? Definitely my sister. She was supposed to be here instead of me, but she got diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Ametrine is way more dedicated and smart than me but I'm going to do my best to bring this home for her. If she can't do it then half her DNA still can.
Who from history do you think you'll most play like in the Games? I hope maybe like a knight. Someone who came from a rich background but wants to be fair and take risks just like everyone else has to.

Our other representative from One is as unconventional as Kendall. Hailing from the exotic frozen northlands, Kallik's life was as harsh and hard-won as Kendall's was luxurious. We don't usually see a Tribute like this, with her otherworldly features and rugged bearing. I just know she has some stories to tell.

Kallik
Age: 18
Dream occupation: teacher
First off, we have to ask: why the name? Hundreds of years ago when Europeans first came to this continent, they took my people from their homes and gave them foreign names. The name they gave me is not mine and I won't take it. My own name is lost to history now, so I'm just Kallik. Most of my language is gone too but my name means either "lightning" or "thunder".
Name three of your favorite hobbies: whittling, walking in the mountains, video games
How would your friends describe you? They'd say I'm very studious. I wish I could be outside more and just enjoy nature but I have to keep my grades up or I'll get kicked out of this program. I guess that doesn't matter anymore.
What's a normal day like in your family? I think you're more interested in my home life so I'll answer that. We get up early so we can fish and hunt seals. Not every day, but only when they're in season. We mostly stayed in our reservation and provided for ourselves, since the Capitol likes to support our independence.* We eat a lot of gathered plants, except in the winter of course. Then we live off what we stored up. We like to sing and tell stories.
What is the accomplishment you're most proud of? Most of my people have no opportunity to get an education like mine. I'm very proud I get to learn everything I can and bring it back to them. I'll be even prouder if I can teach all of them and bring us all up.
What is something we would never know by looking at you? I have a huge sweet tooth! I just love candy, the sillier the better!
Who is your biggest inspiration in life? All the old people in my village who keep our history alive and pass down our old ways.
Who from history do you think you'll play most like? I bet you think I'm going to say an Inuit person. Nope! There aren't many still preserved in history, and we were never very warlike. I think I'll play like someone like Daniel Boone- able to fight if I need to but I prefer to provide for myself and not bother people.

Bear in mind that Tributes might lie or present themselves differently because these are public. The * in Kallik's answers marks the only time in these profiles that her answer was altered by the editors. She actually said "since the Capitol doesn't give us many resources".

So here's my second Chaos Reigns, since it seemed appropriately chaotic (most of you know by now this is LCS's other account I made just to write Organized Chaos twice lol). Since this is my SILLY account I'm free to write a sillier and lighter HG story. As such, I've decided this Games will run like a Survivor season in that no one is dying! When people get voted off they'll simply leave the island and go home (with prize money proportional to how long they lasted). That should cut down on some shenanigans, though I'm sure people will still get very passionate. But now you don't have to worry about your Tribute dying so be silly and have fun!
