Chapter 32 Live House Performance Part 1
Saki's POV
Summer vacation had come to an end, and Ichika and I walked into our classroom on the first day back at school.
"Welcome back, Ichika, Saki", one of our classmates greeted us when we entered.
"Haruka-Chan", I greeted excitedly, before running up to her. "How was your Summer vacation?"
"It was nice, but very busy", Saki replied. "Usually, we only do shows on weekends. But since we wanted to take advance of the Summer crowds at Phoenix Wonderland, we did shows pretty much everyday."
"Everyday", I asked in shock. "That must've been a lot of work?"
"It was, but it was fun", Haruka said. "Speaking of Summer vacation, it seems like your guys' band had a lot of fun during the break?"
"Huh", Ichika said in confusion. "How did you know that, Haruka?"
"I saw the music video you guys posted to your official YouTube channel", Haruka replied.
"You did", I asked excitedly. "What did you think of it?"
"It admittedly didn't have the same level of quality that a professionally done music video does", Haruka stated. "However, by having the footage be done by a simple handheld camera, it actually added to feel of a group of friends recording their fun moments together."
"I'm so glad that you liked it, Haruka-Chan", I said. "Especially since you've been in a lot of music videos in the past!l
"You're welcome", Haruka said. "I hope that your band continues to do well."
It was now lunch break, and Ichika and I were waiting for Airi.
"Hey there, Ichika and Saki", she greeted when she walked up to us. "Guess what happened while I was in class?"
"What happened", Ichika asked.
"Some of my classmates said that they saw our music video", Airi replied happily.
"Really", I asked excitedly. "That's so cool!"
"One of our classmates also told us that she had seen our music video", Ichika added.
"Do you know what this means", I asked excitedly. "Youthful/Friends is internet famous!"
"Having Airi-Senpai as a member definitely helped", Ichika stated.
"Hey guys", a familiar face greeted as she suddenly walked up to us.
"Shiho-Chan", I greeted happily. "Guess what? Some of our classmates said they saw our music video!"
"Really", Shiho asked. "That's great. If there's anything that video proves, it's how far you guys have come as a band."
"You really think so", Ichika asked.
"I do. That's why I showed it to my boss at the live house I work at."
When Shiho said this, we all looked at her in shock.
"Wait, you what", Airi asked in shock.
"What did he say", I asked excitedly.
"He thinks you guys have a lot of potential", Shiho replied. "And he's interested in letting you guys perform at the next show the live house is holding."
"Really", I asked excitedly.
"Yes", Shiho replied. "So, what do you guys say?"
I answered Shiho's question by jumping up and flinging my arms around her.
"Shiho-Chan", I exclaimed. "You're the bestest friend ever!"
"Saki, let go of me", Shiho commanded as she tried to shove me off. After a moment, she gave up and sighed in defeat. "I'm guessing that means yes?"
After being asked this, I pulled away from Shiho and turned to face Ichika and Airi while I clenched my fists in excitement.
"Ichi-Chan, Airi-Chan, what do you guys say", I asked.
"If Shiho thinks we're ready, I say we do it", Ichika replied.
"Yeah", Airi agreed. "We've improved a lot as a ban these past few months, and this is the perfect opportunity to show that off!"
"We'll have to ask Ena-Senpai what she thinks when we meet up for rehearsal later though", Ichika pointed out.
"That's fine", Shiho said. "Once you've all come to a decision, let me know and I'll tell my boss that Youthful/Friends will be performing at the live house's next show."
After school, we went to our usual rehearsal studio, and told Ena what had happened.
"Huh", she said in shock. "The boss of the live house Shiho-Chan works at is interested in us performing there."
"That's right", I replied excitedly.
"Wow", Ena said in awe. "Since Shiho-Chan said we weren't ready for that last time, she must really think we've improved if she thinks we're ready now."
"Well, we have been working hard to improve as a band these last few months", Airi pointed out. "And now is the time to show off that improvement!"
"What do say, Ena-Senpai", Ichika asked.
"Airi's right", Ena replied. "We've been working hard, so now it's time to put that hard work to use!"
"Right", Ichika and I agreed happily.
"Okay then", Airi started. "Since we're all in agreement, let's contact Shiho so she can let her boss know that Youthful/Friend's is a go for the live house's next show!"
