Mankind and the mental models made their own Federation. The Machines they had found during the Cylon War looked as good neighbors, until a planet belonging to an unknown species was located with all it's population killed. A diplomatic mission was attacked, and the war began . Some technologies are from Robotech and The Lost Fleet series.

AU:An Aerlion ship on patrol encounters the Cylons at the beginning of the first Cylon war and suffers a misjump, forty years later an expedition leaves Earth bound for Abydos, the Stargate has just been opened for the first time.

The 12 colonies origins are not what they seem and now those who came before look on and decide to change the outcome.

"We don't have information on the numbers yet, sir," one of the commanders answered quickly. "It's not the Cylons. The Thirteenth Tribe is attacking us. We're at war with Earth." Adar was completely stunned that emotion quickly turning into a burning rage. "But why?" he snarled as his rage turned into a need for vengeance.

When the Battlestar Galactica, guided by Starbuck, makes the jump towards Earth, they find a planet encircled by giant black ships and a woman calling herself Commander Shepard telling them to leave before the Reapers attack them. With Earth not the safe haven they'd hoped for, the Colonial Fleet and their Cylon allies struggle to make a place for themselves in this new universe.

This is a Babylon 5 centered tale. It explores a BSG style exodus due to the loss of the Earth Minbari war. It becomes a crossover with nBSG as of Interlude 1, and crosses with Firefly as of Interlude 2. Most B5 and BSG canon should remain unchanged, including EU. However, Firefly will mostly use series and film canon. Its EU began to expand after I had already merged the plots.

Will the Colonies survive a threat that puts the Cylons to shame? Can two cultures avoid fighting each other and unite to survive a war greater than any struggle humanity has ever faced?

This is a rewrite of my earlier story "First Contact", a crossover between Battlestar Galactica, Men in Black, Babylon 5, Farscape, Doctor Who, and Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy. There also are minor references to ALF, Star Wars, Discworld and a number of other shows, books, and movies. From a BSG point of view, the story diverges from canon at the discovery of New Caprica.

The Colonials search for the Thirteenth tribe after the fall of their colonies maybe at an end, when they make contact with the Systems Alliance, but will Earth lend them a hand or will the Cylons destroy them all.
