Chapter 21. the rogue AI returns, Tabane and the creator of GBN meet, rage on warriors!
In the dark system of the tournament the rogue AI I.S is seen looking at all of the data of the last battle and is recording down to every last detail, every time it compares the I.S and Gunpla the results was the same many wins from the Gunpla, many losses for the I.S and the AI still hunger for more battles.
AI I.S: target chosen, beginning infiltration of the tournament.
The AI flies further into the network to enter into the tournament to fulfill its own desire, meanwhile back at the Stadium Kirito is surprised by incredible the battle was and how strong Ezio is when he gets really serious.
Kirito: he's completely powerful… just like all of the other enemies I faced in the past.
Asuna: can you really win against him Kirito?
Kirito: … I think I can but it's not going to be easy since we are officially reaching the semi finals, once I'm in I can finally have a talk with the professor on why he created GBN along with his connection to Kayaba.
Asuna: I often wonder what Smith's connection to Kayaba is?
Kirito: we'll know once I'm in the semi finals.
Then the announcement calls for Kirito to come to the stage for his match, he gets up hugs Asuna and goes to face his opponent.
(Scene change)
At a secret room somewhere in the stadium Tabane is seen using a computer in order to set up for the destruction of the tournament and ruin it, as she does someone walks into the room who is Smith.
Smith: who would have thought we would meet again like this… Tabane.
(Dot Hack GU – the creator's question)
Tabane: huh? I never thought you would be the one who created that simulator along with that game GBN, Smith how long has it been when we last met and went our separate ways.
Smith: far too long. So care to explain what your trying to do to the tournament, Tabane.
Tabane: huh? Oh nothing… nothing at all.
Smith: I know it was you Tabane who sent those AI into GBN and tried to ruin it care to explain.
Tabane: oh come on what makes you think I did it?
Smith: Tabane, I'm no fool I know how you think and what your trying to do… just like back then before you became the world's greatest scientist.
Tabane: …
Smith: back then you created the I.S for space exploration even I thought it good invention to help mankind until the scientists rejected it… you were good hiding your real emotions even Chifuyu your friend saw it to, when you hacked right into the military and launched those nuclear missiles at Japan was the moment I saw your true face.
Tabane: … your know fun, even when we were colleges back then, I did the impossible and brought about world peace along with everyone accepting my creation, but you then disappeared vanished just like those who reject me and my creation only to comeback creating games just like that guy who got so many people killed inside his own game until he too was killed so… are you following his footsteps to?
Smith: maybe I am or maybe I'm not who knows? But I do respect his decision, he was the one who ignited my passion for games that I like and love, I want to share that passion with others including my joy of mechas along with the Gundam series which is why I made the simulator and GBN that brings people together.
Tabane: so that what you are doing all this time huh?
Smith: yup.
Tabane: well you found out what I'm doing, are going to try and stop me?
Smith: no.
Tabane: huh?... what?
Smith: I'm not going to stop you, neither me or Chifuyu can't stop you because nothing will get through that skull of yours.
Smith started walking away from Tabane which is confusing her and is making her upset almost as if he does not see anything special about her.
Smith: oh and one more thing I advise you don't underestimate the battlers they won't go down easily, especially by you.
Tabane: you think you're simulator and GBN is special or something? It's not! And I'm going to prove it by seeing it burn to the ground! With those battlers crying in defeat and falling to despair!
(Scene change)
Back at the Stadium Kirito is seen fighting against his opponent who's Gunpla which is on its last leg as it can no longer fight anymore as Kirito delivers the final blow ending the fight which means he's heading to the semi finals the crowd cheers and Asuna is happy for Kirito.
Kirito: looks like I'm going up, huh?
Then the simulator started to malfunction as another enemy appears, it was the rogue AI I.S again and this time it was here to fight against Kirito's Gunpla, then it immediately started attacking him.
(Armored Core 4 – Adam)
Kirito: where did an I.S come from did someone hack the system again? Either way I have to take this thing down!
Yushai: what's an I.S doing in the simulator?
Ral: I believe a hacker is causing this.
Krystina: but why?
Yushai: … that's a good question?
The two continue there battle the I.S fires many of its weapons at Kirito who dodges many of them like there nothing and is trying to limit the damage as much as possible since it's last battle, Ichika and his friends immediately recognized the fighting style of the AI.
Ichika: hold on that's the same AI we encounter days ago!
Houki: but why is it here?
Chifuyu: … Tabane… is this your doing?
The fight still continues on as Kirito clashes against the AI as it grows more powerful by the minute making things harder to defeat it, Kirito realize he needs to go all out other wise he make it through this, he knows he doesn't need to but his pride as a player tells him to defeat it with everything he has.
Kirito: it's time I go all out, Trans AM?
Exia suddenly turns red and goes incredibly very fast and begins tearing the AI apart as it can't seem to be able to land a hit on the Gunpla as it has become more powerful again its data says its going to lose no matter what it does or do.
AI I.S: I want… to grow stronger… STRONGER!
Kirito: this is the end!
Kirito cuts through the I.S ending the fight as it disappear from the simulator as it shuts down, everyone is confused by what is going on and why, the announcement tells the people that the tech engineers will check on the system to make sure everything is okay so it won't happen again, meanwhile Tabane is seen back in her hiding place and has re obtained the damaged AI I.S from the fight.
Tabane: I finally got you, you troublesome AI but I think I'll use you for an even bigger plan that I'm cooking.
Tabane smiles sinisterly for her bigger plans for the tournament then everything fades to black.

To unseen Urge: yes Ezio is now more powerful now just like the Meijin Kawaguchi from the Anima.
To mvinicius122016: yeah what Ezio says is true even if they copy the Gunpla, without the passion, determination, Imagination and the soul it'll just be an empty hollow even if they give it to an I.S pilot they'll never be able to bring out there true potential.
To nexusknight2: Smith wants to honor the players and let them continue their battles and will take responsibility for what happens in the tournament.
