The next season is a flashback a yellow Exposition box above it is clearly meant to be jervis voice

Exposition box Jarvis: as you know I was dying at one time, so I decided to travel the world, and soon my sickness made me have to stay somewhere permanently to live out the rest of my fleeting days

The scene below the box is of Jarvis huddled in a coat running through the rain, he looks like his BTaS self, but he's very obviously contracted a deadly disease from his Payless skin, and sweat and Rain slick hair

The next panel is of Jervis hardwood in a bed being tended to by circus freaks

The next page is of Jervis as he is now, the man that will be the new Jervis is dressed and rags and cooped up in a cage being pointed at by gawking children and adults

jervis exhibition box: I've grown attached to one in particular, poor creature, taking over his body was a mercy

The next panel shows the current Hatter driving on the ground flooring as his head which wears the signature hat he wears in the present, the limp hand of his old body lies cold next to his writhing new one

The next panel shows the Scarecrow face still obscured by Shadows great contemplation shining through his visible eyes
