The safe house Isley was being kept in wasn't exactly the place she wanted to be in at the time, she's much prefer a penthouse with nice muscled guards, at least they let her decorate her room, Not that she has enough energy to admire it after that last attempt to strengthen her powers,( damn my everything aches like really bad), she thinks to herself as she plops on her strawberry pink bed
Her eyes roam the bedroom soon Locking on poster of the top hero of the world Ultraman, she lets out an affectionate sigh and begins daydreaming of a life between her and him, those Daydreams turn into actual dreams as her exhaustion sends her into much needed slumber
Mercury and clock were outside of the building making sure no one comes by the open air vent his boss and the Batman had crawled into, he was tapping his foot in boredom eventually he stamped his foot and yelled out, "This is so boring!", Croc covered his mouth and looked around to make sure no one heard, he made Panicked noises when he sees someone turning the corner, at that moment Mercury pushes from his hold and tackles the guy
After some moments Mercury stands and so does the now glasseyed guard, a bunny shaped sticker plastered to his neck," if you could be so kind would you give me your clothing and stand guard for us", the man obeys stripping his clothing, Croc covers his eyes and only lowers them when Mercury gives him a pat on the back,When he looks he sees Mercury has stolen the man's clothing and the guard now stands only in his boxers still glasseyed, Mercury Leans up to whisper something into his ear
" we're going to go sabotage that power strengthening machine ourselves, now you put on a scary face and you keep it till we get there" Croc puts on his most intimidating face and follows Mercury inside
Crocs facade nearly cracked a couple times on the way there, but they made it and soon they stood in front of the giant machine, it looked like a cryopod and on either side were empty syringe like mechanisms clearly meant to pump in the strengthening formula
Mercury tore off his disguise revealing his usual outfit underneath, he then pulled out his favorite ax and Get to work, soon the machine lies in a sparking mess and Mercury is cackling like a maniac
then there comes a chill in the air and both turn to see their boss and the Batman standing beside each other a unconscious Miss Isley floating between them in a black aura," what are you two doing here" scarecrow says Annoyance very evident in his voice, Mercury gestures in Pride at his destructive masterpiece, " we helped with the mission, I think that won me a kiss" he says before strolling over and closing his eyes An expectation, scarecrow just rolls His eyes and leans down, but before they can lock lips the security alarms being blaring, Mercury begins grumbling expertise as scarecrow teleports them away
Back at the Mansion Edward Cleaning his model car collection,He just got finished with the 108th one when he senses his boss is back, he turns to find indeed his boss is back accompanied by his coworkers, the Batman, and Miss Isley who is still unconscious
she's floated over to the holding Edward got ready for her, and snaps awake almost instantly as the door closes, she yells and screams but is not heard because of the noise canceling walls
" so about that kiss" Mercury quips standing on tippy toes next to his the Scarecrow, scarecrow gives him a quick peck on the cheek which sends Mercury swooning to the nearest spinny chair, he kicks his legs in excitement caressing the smooch cheek in reverence, Isley had banging her fists on the glass wall to no effort, after some moments of that she eventually just goes into a corner and begins violently sobbing
"Well the mission is done, you may leave now Dark Night" the Scarecrow turns and expectedly the Batman is not there
mercury has gotten off of his fainting swivel chair and Walks over to the cell Isley is in who is still violently sobbing, " you know you've done so much screwed up stuff you might as well be a super villain, actually you might as well embrace being a baddie, In fact maybe you could join our team", he says into the microphone connected to the speakers in the cell, Isley just glares before walking over the microphone in the cell and saying into it," and why should I"
" well I mean besides being part of the most coolest team ever, you also have a chance to become ultraman's nemesis, which is basically like being his girlfriend" this gets isley's attention who says a simple what into the mic," Yeah a lot of villains and their hero Nemesi into relationships, does even an app for it" he starts feeling with his phone and shows an app on the app store which is obviously the the one he was talking about
Isley just stands in shock before giggling like a Lovestruck school girl And starts yelling words with your unheard because she'd fall into the floor in her excitement
After they get Edward to agree to her joining the team, Isley sits in a swivel chair as Edward ready to syringe of his power strengthening formula, and Mercury reads The magic branding iron,"Don't worry Rosie, it's only going to burn for a second" Mercury reassures at the nervous look she throws at the red hot branding iron, take your deep breath she braces for the twin pains and only flinches a little bit and soon the deed is done, she feels her already existing Powers strengthen and something else flourish in inside of her
instinctually she reaches out and almost instantly a ficus in the corner begins moving, " oh cool" Mercury says impressed, "What else can you make it do" Isley reaches out again and The Ficus rapidly bikes towards Edward's face and stops mirror inches from impaling him, and then Edward passes out
" so will you intending to, Mercury gestures at the stew lengthened ficus, because of you were you wouldn't be able to because of the brand, It makes you incapable of killing your teammates or boss" he gives an indicating gesture to the new mark on Isley skin which is Crow shaped, " no I was just trying to Spook him" she high fives Mercury and the two laughs in shared amusement at his misfortune
