A/N: Hello my wonderful readers! So we've reached that point. Someone is gonna figure some things out today, and you guys are gonna see Steve and some of the other Five-0's. But are you guys are you ready for this? So, I did some more mapping, this time with actual chapter headings and the stuff I've already written and I've got two mile stones for you guys. Firstly, the official start of Season 7 is going to be in chapter 289. Essentially, like season 6 the start of season 7 will be in the summer months that are supposed to be between seasons. AND probably the part that you guys are the most excited for, Steven and Rowan are officially back together by chapter 298. That's if none of the chapters I need to write go longer than expected and I have to split the chapter up. So isn't that exciting, they should be getting back together BEFORE the 300th chapter :D Also we've hit May which means our 2 year anniversary will be coming up. Is there anything special you guys would like? Let me know in your review. I'll see you guys on Monday!

Chapter 273

Jian Hui knew that Hatachi had started gambling again the second her proud mother asked her for money. She knew that he had a gambling debt much larger than the amount her mother had asked for when the rough and tough looking men in badly fitting business suits started showing up around her practice.

She figured that he had listed her as a source of income to pay off whatever debt was going to get him injured. But it wasn't confirmed until they showed up at the door of the lavish apartment that she had shared with Wo Fat.

The fact that most underworld connections knew that this had once been Wo Fat's abode of choice had, up until that point, kept the goons away from her. She had closed the practice for the last few days just to avoid them, but her brother's debts must have been astronomical for them to knock on that door and then force it open. Not when they knew that this place was once shared with Wo Fat.

She was now sitting on her couch with these men standing above her, talking a mile a minute about the amount that Hatachi owed them. 12 million yen. Just as astronomical as she thought. At that point they were talking about how she was to pay them back. She was a doctor, she had money. And while that was usually true, all her savings went into the apartment, and what she had made since had gone to a private investigator who had not found Wo Fat like he said he would, and then everything else had gone to her mother to help pay her brother's debts.

"I don't have that kind of money," she kept whispering and it was around the fourth time that she said it that the leader finally seemed to get that it wasn't a bluff, she really didn't have 12 million yen to give them. She didn't even have a fraction of that.

"Well then… you'll have to pay it off… in a different way. From now on you'll work for us. Nights. At the Black Oyster lounge. Your face isn't as pretty as the others, you'll probably take you longer to pay off his debts."

Jian knew all about the Black Oyster lounge. It was a low rent strip club down in brothel central of Osaka. He was going to pimp her out. Jian wasn't going to go down that road. She was a Mob Doctor.

"My evenings are already full. I'm Shioma's Osaka doctor, you can ask him..."

"Shioma's dead. His daughter will have no problem with your career change."

Jian shook her head. She had one last straw to grasp at. "You shouldn't… Wo… Wo will be…"

"He's not here, and he doesn't protect you," the leader said. It was true, but she still held out hope of him returning, especially since he was still sending money monthly as if he had forgotten that they had paid for the apartment outright and that she didn't have mortgage payments. He had said that he'd reach out when things were settled, maybe Rowan just took a long time to get settled. He was always saying that she was a disaster.

"Now don't make this harder than this is."

But she was going to make this harder. For everyone. She was going to fight, she was going to try and run, and when she could she was going to try and call Wo Fat, even if that meant calling that boorish Steven in Hawaii to help her.

He reached out for her, to take her then and there, to make her start now, or who knows. She was ready to lash out but she never got the chance. From somewhere in the in the apartment came a resounding crash and it was enough to distract them. Jian punched him, right to the dick and then bolted to the bathroom. She slammed the door shut and then it occurred to her that she had no exit and no where to hide now.

And then she heard the groaning.

Jian whirled around where she found that someone sprawled in her bathtub. A woman, short brown hair and her head in her hands.

Someone crashed into the door as if attempting to break it down and the girl yelped, her fuzzy blue eyes finding her and then narrowing at her as if she didn't comprehend what she was seeing. Yeah well that made two of them.

"Are… are you okay? Where did you come from?"

The girl blinked her familiar blue eyes at her. The more they stared at one another the more Jian was certain she had seen this girl before, but she couldn't possibly remember where.

She looked to Jian and then looked around and then back to Jian. "Where am I?"

"Osaka…"

"Okay… and that's in what country? Russia? Please tell me I'm still in Russia."

Odd request as she didn't have a Russian accent and was no where near Russian presently. "No… Japan."

"Well that's not good," the girl snapped, forcing herself to get up. Her short brown hair was almost fully covering her face, but as she teetered on her feet Jian was more concerned with keeping her up right.

"Where… where are my brothers? Did they fall with me?"

Jian stared at her and then looked up at the ceiling, the girl was certain she fell but not through her ceiling. What the hell was going on?

"Why the hell did I get sent here? I wanted to go home, this is not my home."

Dear god this girl was insane. And judging by the way she was swaying and her hands kept going to the back of her head she was probably concussed. Jian wanted to help her but she was too busy bracing the door which was slowly creaking under the strain of the banging coming from the other side. As much as she'd love to be concerned about this girl's health, she had to deal with a Yakuza hit team that were there to take her into her new life of prostitution

"What's going on over there," the girl asked pointing at the door that Jian was trying to brace.

"These men, they came to get me…"

"Why? What did you do?"

Jian scowled and threw herself against the door to counteract the latest charge into the door to break it down. This wasn't going to work forever. "I didn't do anything. My brother owes them money and he told them I'd pay…"

"Oh well that won't do…" the girl said going to the door. Despite her protesting, and with a strength Jian didn't think she had, she pushed her aside and then opened the door. It was so unexpected that it startled everyone on the other side.

The second the leader saw that brown-haired girl staring up at him with he actually scrambled back letting out a high-pitched squeal of terror. The girl took them all in, the men with their wide fearful eyes and their guns shaking in their grasps all pointing at her.

"Ohhhh," the girl crowed with a shaky laugh. "You're in so much trouble when I tell my brother you pulled your guns on me!"

Jian just balked at her watching as the fearless men who were ready to do whatever they wanted to her actually began to throw a flurry of words at the brown-haired girl, mostly apologies. Who the hell was this girl?

H5O-H5O-H5O-H5O

It had been a long and tiring day, yesterday. There had been a deliberate chemical spill and five inmates had managed to escape. Steve and his team had been forced to hunt them down. They found four bodies and one deranged cannibal that was killing people. So, you know. That was fun. And all of it was a distraction to get to Adam whom Michelle Shioma thought was working with Gabriel. Well, maybe if Michelle had come to Hawaii instead of sending people while hiding in Japan, she'd know that Gabriel wasn't working with anyone in Five-0 and that included Kono's husband.

He had gotten home yesterday and fallen asleep right away. Though he had woken up at his customary time he was still tired, and going for a swim had not invigorated him like he thought it would.

He had had another void dream last night. Of Rowan, Rowan and what he knew to be Irina. He swore that he was having one of her nightmares with her. The one where Irina stabbed her. Except it was different. Rowan stabbed Irina, Irina shook Rowan until she was concussed and then Rowan got lost in the void. He had tried to find her, tried to pull her to him but… he had failed, he had lost her. Again.

Then he woke up, breathless, with a lingering pain in his chest. He was almost certain that it was a void pain but at the same time it seemed smaller, minor than anything else he had ever felt. Maybe he really was having mini-heart attacks. Wouldn't that just be karma hitting him in the nuts?

Steve got back from his swim, certain he was going to shower and then collapse in bed, but when he got to shore his towel was missing. He was certain he brought it out and put it on the chair.

He almost thought that he might have been so tired that he had forgotten. He had been walking towards the house, wondering if old age was giving him heart attacks and a bad memory when he noticed the boot prints in the sand.

Someone had walked up to his house… recently. And they were wet. So that would be the towel thief. The question was now was whether or not the person was still in the house?

Steve approached with caution, wishing that he hadn't left his gun in the house. He snuck in as quietly as he could and then quietly went for the gun he kept hidden in the bread box. With the gun in his hand he felt better, he slowly made his way through the house toward the living room. He didn't hear anything, but he knew someone was in there, could feel the electric current of another presence.

He could sense them. He just didn't know where they were.

And then something landed on him. One second he's walking, the next he's on the ground, someone having jumped onto his back from the second floor. Steve was winded, but even though this person had the element of surprise, he wasn't going to go down without a fight. He spun, lashing out, trying to get his gun trained on whoever had attacked him but the man simply kicked the gun out of his hand and then kicked him square in the chest.

The gun clattered away from him, Steve hit the ground and then the man was on him. Straddling him down, holding his hands above his head. Steve was gunless and pinned, with a strange man staring down at Steve with this sort of grin and a pair of light brown eyes he swore he recognized.

"Hello Commander McGarrett."

This man knew who he was? Great. Not good. Was this an inmate they had missed? Some sort of revenge? He must have noticed all those questions alight in his eyes because the man sort of half laughed at him.

"Now if you calm down, and promise not to shoot me or arrest me, you and I… we can have a nice chat. I'll tell you why I'm in your house. I hear you love answers."

He did love answers, but how did this guy know that? He narrowed his eyes at the man hovering above him. "Fine. Now get off."

The man obliged, finally letting go and raising his arms in a surrendering motion as he took a step back. For a moment they were both silent.

"Your wife coming home any time soon?" the man asked.

The… what? What the hell was this guy talking about? "What wife?"

"You know, the hot little ex-navy girl. Catherine or something, I think she said that was her name…"

"Wait… do you mean Rowan? You've talked to Rowan? Where is she? How is she? Is she okay?"

The man's eyes widened in surprise and Steve realized that he might have gotten a little wild or frantic over the questioning. He had also closed the distance between them quite rapidly. Steve backed away and whispered sorry as if he didn't just prove how pathetic Rowan Pierce could still make him.

"No… I don't mean Fat's girl. If I meant Fat's girl I would have said so but everyone knows y'all aren't together anymore. I'm talking about that ex-navy piece droopy-dog, not even remotely as hot as Ro…"

God. Fucking. Damn it. Why in the hell was this man calling his Rowan Fat's girl? She was not Fat's girl. And he didn't need to insult Catherine. She wasn't all that bad, but it was clear who was on Rowan's side in this case.

"Yeah no, Catherine, I got that. But you said she said that her name was Catherine. And we both know the only person who would talk about my love life to criminals is Rowan. So I'll ask you again…"

"I don't know where that girl is," he said moving away with a scoff. "She's kept under tight wraps, that girl. Practically under lock and key…"

"He's keeping her prisoner?" he asked his voice hollow.

When the man turned again he had a strange sort of smile on his face. "Course not. Fat dotes on that girl. No his girl kept getting into trouble. He's got her detained for her own good… and because she's got a stalker, he keeps her under lock and key so her stalker doesn't find them."

Him. He meant him. He was the stalker.

Steve turned his eyes away from him. "What's the matter McGarrett?" the man taunted. "Didn't like my answer? Well tough! You didn't want her…"

"I never said that, I have always…" Steve thundered and then stopped. The look on the man's face, it was too much for him. He turned away, he refused to let this man goad him. "Why the hell are you in my house? You said you'd tell me that… so go ahead, why are you in my house?"

"Easy, washed up on your beach, was looking for somewhere to dry off," he said. "Not gonna lie I raided your fridge. And I'm wearing your clothes."

He was walking away again, heading once more for the fridge. "Wanna beer?"

"No," Steve snapped. He couldn't believe that this criminal was offering him one of his own beers as if he was in his own house and not a stranger's. "What do you mean you washed up?"

"I had someone try to dispose of me, threw me overboard with my hands tied to an anchor. I expect that they thought I'd drown, except I got free, didn't I?" he said. "Swam to shore, just ended up being here."

How had that man told that story so nonchalantly? Why was he not more freaked out? How often did people try to kill him?

"Someone tried to kill you?"

"People are always trying to kill me. I'm remarkably hard to off though, so you don't have to worry," he said. "And no need to call the cops either, I know who they are, I'll find them. Finish up our business." The man whistled. "They're going to be in for one nasty surprise though."

Steve didn't like the sound of that but the man was sipping on a beer clearly unphased by his own situation or coming face to face with his own mortality. It made him realise how nuts the man really was.

"Yeah, I had no idea whose house I was letting myself into, to be clear. Only reason I knew it was your place cause of the red-head's picture by your bed. Bet your wife don't like that."

Why the hell had he been upstairs? What had he been looking for?

"I don't have a wife," Steve growled. "I'm not married, why do you keep saying that I have a wife?"

This time when the man turned to him he had a look of surprise on his face. "Cause that's the story. Little Ro gets tortured. Yakuza boss man and his own family go down hard. And you go back to Hawaii and don't come back. Girl goes to Colombia and doesn't come out," he said. "We all had to wonder why but you bought an engagement ring for a girl who was in Switzerland at the time and then she started all that crying about you picking some other girl so…we all just…" he suddenly paused and looked around as if he were expecting something to appear. "Hey! Where's the kid? Ro talks a lot about the kid… he should be back from school by now…"

"Nahele?" he asked. "Nahele doesn't… he doesn't live here…"

"Kay… so no wife … no kid… hmm…I'm assuming no girlfriend too, right?"

"Well I mean I'm seeing someone," Steve said, not sure why he was telling this guy that. "It's not like I'm just… kay, you know what? I'm gonna call my buddies and we're going to have you checked out… kay? Maybe find those guys who tossed you overboard warn them that you're coming after them…"

"No, no cops," he said quickly. "I don't do cops."

"Well you're here with me and you seem fine."

"Not here for you, am I?" he shot back.

"So why are you here then?"

"Well originally, I was on an assassination, but that went sideways. Now I'm here and I guess I'm on a fact-finding mission… and maybe a little bit of a retrieval op," he said absently, he picked up Steve's keys and then just stared at him. While the man was busy Steve sent a text to Danny. Just a few words. Man in house. Come now. Be Quiet. He would just have to hope that Danny was quiet.

"You said an assassination?"

"Yeah, Russian mug. Got himself a little too unfriendly with someone we care about. Was told to take him down a notch. Which we did… just uh… the team kind of got splintered. I'm gonna have to find a way to get in contact with them," he answered absently. Damn this assassin was chatty, they usually weren't.

When he looked up again, he saw that the man was still just staring at the keys, and he seemed to be smiling a bit too happily at them. He was eyeing his keychain. Steve glared at him. "What?" he snapped.

"That's a pretty girly keychain for the head of Five-0."

The sea-shell, that's what he was looking at. "It's not… it was…"

"Ah Rowan's?" he asked. "It was hers huh? You're uh… you're really holding a torch for her… aren't you?"

Steve snatched the keys out of his hands. "What does that matter?"

"Oh, it doesn't. I just think it's weird. With everything they say about you, I would have thought… you know… if you really cared about her… you would have been… looking…"

"Who says I'm not?"

"The fact that you're here on the island and literally everyone knows she's in Colombia. Or how about the fact that there are rumours going around that you married someone else… pretty much tells me you're not looking," he said. He sighed, but his hands on his hips and then pinned a narrowed glare onto Steve. "So… you're holding a torch for her but not willing to actually go and look, and you're dating some new girl… or are you dating that cop friend of yours. Ohhh, what did she say his name was? She said you two had a borderline relationship…"

"Danny? I'm not gay with Danny!" he snapped in anger. God that joke had now followed him into this world too? Did Rowan just tell everyone about him, their dating life and all her perceived flaws of his? "I'm dating Lynn Downey, okay? She's pretty and she's blonde and she works in HR…"

"And if you give me her SIN I can whack her," the man said dryly clearly not impressed. Steve went quiet, he hadn't meant to do it but he had totally just given an admitted assassin who clearly loved Rowan as much as everyone else did, all the information he needed to go and kill Lynn.

Steve waited to see what he'd do but the man just sighed once more and shook his head. "But like… I still don't get it. You clearly still like her. You're obviously very obsessed and you're single, or dating or whatever you want to call it. So, this is like some… next level masochism? Punishing yourself instead of going after what you really want?"

"That's not… it's not…" Steve stuttered but that man, that man and his light brown eyes… they kept staring at him, impassive, uncaring, taunting him. "She left me! She chose to run around the world with a man who tortured me, who stole her from me, she doesn't want to come back! Why should I chase someone who doesn't want me?"

The silence around them was heavy after that outburst.

"… doesn't want you…" he echoed. "Huh… that's a new one."

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing," he said. "That's just not what we heard and definitely not what little Ro thinks. So, who's lying? You or Wo Fat?"

"Lying… what else has he been saying? What have you heard? What the hell has he told her?" Steve thundered but the man was staring at something outside and in the quiet he heard the sound of a car door shutting. It was soft but it was enough.

"You called your friends… didn't you?" the man asked in a dangerously low voice. His turned back to him a yellow in his eyes that Steve finally recognized.

Staring at him from behind a Rabbit's mask.

Sin Nombre.

Steve didn't get to say anything because suddenly the man had decked him and for a moment, the second his jaw connected with the man's fist the lights went out. He heard a brief scuffle, was aware that someone was hovering about him and then the next thing he knew Danny was shaking him awake and pressing an ice pack to his face.

With his friends going through his house to make sure the man was gone, to see if anything was stolen, Steve was put on the couch and he sat there keys in hand staring at them as if it held all the answers.

"Let me guess, nothing missing?" he asked as them as they all stood before him. They exchanged glances because no one knew why he was reacting this way.

"Everything seems to be accounted for," Kono told him and Steve nodded.

"Yeah, cause he got what he wanted," he said showing them his keys. "He took Rowan's seashell… the question is… why?"

His friend's exchanged glances, but Danny cleared his throat. "You got a theory?"

Steve nodded. "He knew a lot about Rowan, specifically me and Rowan. He… he called her Ro," he whispered. "I think…"

"You think he knows Rowan," Kono said. "You think he's with her?"

Steve nodded. "We need to find out where he was going to next, I think he could lead us to Rowan," he said and all of them nodded. Steve looked back to his empty keys, knowing that there was a different reason he wanted him found. He wanted that seashell back, he needed it back because that was essentially all he had left of her, and he couldn't lose that along with everything else. He just couldn't.

H5O-H5O-H5O-H5O

Rowan woke up, bleary and in pain. Her head hurt. Like a lot. She barely remembered how she got to this place, barely remembered where she was in the first place. She knew she was in Japan. She knew that she got separated from her boys because Wo Fat and Conejo did not fall into Japan with her. She knew that there was another girl she had been helping but now she didn't know where she was.

On the bedside table beside her was a clock, a glass of water and note saying to meet someone in the office when she felt up to it. Someone with very nice penmanship. Rowan sat in the bed for a little while longer, just trying to get a bearing on her life.

She tried to pull on the void and got nothing, maybe a little bit of a twinge so maybe the head injury was just messing with her. She guzzled down the glass of water, hoping it would clear her head or ground her in reality and it didn't really but she needed to find a way to contact Wo Fat seeing as she had no idea where her phone was.

So, she forced herself to get up, forced herself to be ok on her feet and hobbled over to the door. The door wasn't locked so that was a good sign. She opened it and found a Japanese man standing outside the door. She stared at him for a second and he stared right back.

"I'm supposed to see someone."

He nodded his head and then turned away, walking away from her. Rowan took that to mean that she was to follow him, so she did that, as quickly as she could manage.

He led her down two hallways and a set of stairs before he finally stopped in front of a large mahogany double door. He knocked once and then opened the door for her. He didn't walk in but she assumed that meant that she was just supposed to go in.

When she walked through the door, she found herself in a rich looking library a lot like Armando's. But she knew she wasn't in Colombia. The door snapped shut behind her and a woman turned her seat around so Rowan could see her.

She looked nice enough. Pretty, rounded Asian features, waves of dark curly hair but it was the smile on her face that made Rowan nervous.

"Nice to see you're finally awake."

Rowan nodded. "Uh… thanks for letting me crash here. Uhm… not to be rude but uh… who are you? I don't think we've met before…"

"No, we haven't. I'm Michelle Shioma."

"Oh!" Rowan exclaimed sitting down across from her. "You took over for your father. I'm sorry for your loss by the way."

For a moment Michelle's smile faded, a coldness touched her brown eyes. "Yes, I heard you sent someone down to help my father."

"Mhmm… I got wind of Gabriel's plans, sent Con down to help. He was supposed to put Gabriel down."

"Yes, except he's still alive and my father's dead."

The way she said it made Rowan feel like it was her fault. She wasn't the one who made the plan, Gabriel did. She sent someone to help!

They were silent for a moment as Rowan held her gaze. Her head hurt too much for this. "I need to call my brother," Rowan said softly. "Can I borrow the phone."

"No need, I've called him for you. He is on his way." she said. Rowan narrowed her eyes at Michelle. For some reason she just didn't trust her. But her head hut too much to argue and she had a little bit of an inkling that she was in trouble. Wait… wasn't she with someone? She swore she had been with someone.

"Okay, fine. And the girl I was with. I don't know her name."

"She owes us money."

"Okay, but she's with me."

"And she owes us money, so what is your point?"

"My point? My point is you don't get to take her away and do something terrible to her. She's with me I want her back."

"And my money?"

"I will give you the money. No Problem."

"You don't even know how much money she owes."

"Yeah, not a problem. I'm sure I can cover whatever it is."

"12 million yen."

"Wow, damn, how did she rack up that much?"

"Her brother is a gambler, he gave us her in return of the absolution of his debts."

A flash of understanding went through. A bit of memory. Did she felt out of the void and into an empty pastel pink shell shaped tub. Why did that sound familiar? There had been a girl there, a girl who was dealing with the Yakuza at the time. A girl who had a brother who owed them money.

"Oh yeah, I think she mentioned that. Family eh?" Rowan asked with a wry laugh. She felt that girl's pain, her brother hadn't flat out sold her to the Stepanov's but he did come to her to fix it. "Doesn't matter, I can transfer that amount once I get access to one of my computers. How much is that in American"

"You do that? For a stranger?"

"Yeah, I'm all about that philanthropy," Rowan said quickly. "Do you need me to sign something or can you just take my word? I swear, my word is worth it's weight in gold."

There was a wry smile on Michelle's face for a brief second, so brief Rowan thought that maybe her concussed head might have been playing tricks on her. "No, I'll believe you. I do have a question though."

"Sure, shoot."

"How did you learn about Gabriel's plans."

And now she was going to have to lie, her head wasn't straight enough for her to that convincingly. Still she was going to have to try. "Oh, easy. My app. It was tracking his location. I had a worm into all his electronics. It recorded a few snippets of the plan."

"And do you know where he is now?"

"Naw, Wo took my app down. Five-0 tried to trace us through it."

That iciness was back. "Pity."

"Look, thanks for housing me, thanks for calling Wo, but uh… I'm really not feeling well…"

"You'd like to go back to bed," Michelle finished for her. "No problem. Toji outside will show you back to your room and if you're up to it, later you can join me for dinner."

Rowan smiled her thanks and got back up. She knew this was strange, she knew that Michelle Shioma probably hadn't called her brother, but she wasn't as worried as she should have been. She'd find a phone to call Wo Fat later, or maybe, if her head cleared up by then, she'd just jump back to him. But at that moment she just wanted to fall asleep.

And once she was back in her borrowed room, she did just that. She collapsed to the bed of goose down and soft cotton sheets and was essentially dead to the world. She didn't hear anyone sneak into her room. She didn't even feel the needle when it pricked her skin.

H5O-H5O-H5O-H5O

After his detour, Conejo laid low. Five-0 was out looking for him, he had APBs everywhere for him. He was still in shock by what he had found in Steve's house, shocked by the fact that the man was alone, not married, kidless, and dating other people. That meant that there had been no wedding. That's what he was figuring anyway because there was no way that the marriage just imploded as quickly as it had. It hadn't even been a month yet. That meant Wo Fat had lied to him. He had lied to Rowan.

He had waited all night and then way into the next day before he went to the Liang warehouse. He figured the guy would help him get back in touch with Wo Fat. He couldn't let on that he knew that Wo Fat had lied about Steven, because he needed to tell Rowan first.

The second he got into the office Kong was up with a smile. "Sin Nombre! My man! I was just configuring Sandy to track you."

Con was momentarily touched. "Wow, really?"

"Hell yeah, Wo Fat's looking for you, and for Rowan."

Okay, so that meant Rowan wasn't with Wo Fat. Not good, really not good. "Yeah, where is he?"

"In Colombia with Armando, but he's on his way to Japan."

"Rowan's in Japan huh?" Conejo asked, though he didn't need to. Kong confirmed and went on to explain that he had no idea how the three of them had gotten so separated from one another but Conejo was lost in his head.

Rowan had ended up in Japan. Wo Fat in Colombia. And him in Hawaii. Thinking back now, before the splintered jump he was pretty sure he heard Rowan say something.

Think of home.

Con had thought of Mari and Emil, Wo Fat must have thought of Japan and Rowan had thought of Hawaii. And with her head injury she must mixed up who went where.

"Kay, when's the next flight out, I'll meet him."

"In an hour."

"I better leave now, see if I can get him to take off early."

"What's the rush? Rowan's with the new Shioma, she's an ally of yours, right?"

He had no idea if Michelle Shioma was an ally. Conejo didn't trust anyone except himself when it came to Rowan.

"I uh… stopped off at McGarrett's. Stole something of Rowan's back form him, but he caught me," Conejo lied. Well it wasn't a full lie he was just omitting a lot of the truth. "He's uh… he's probably gonna come here to ask questions. And you're not gonna tell him anything. Are you?"

He leant across the desk purposely so the man could see the rabbit mask and the gun he had tucked into the side of his waist band.

Kong quickly agreed that he wouldn't say anything and Conejo smiled. He thanked him for the information and his time before heading out. He needed to get to Rowan ASAP, he needed to figure out what the hell was happening and get her back together with Steven. Where she belonged.
