Ben and Kyoka ran back to the others and explained the situation leading to the group trying to figure out what to do
"How could villains have even infiltrated I-Island in the first place?" Tenya wondered. "The security here is tighter than Tartarus Prison."
"The most logical explanation is that they had someone on the inside," Shoto said. "For some reason, a resident of the island gave these gunrunners clearance to enter the island legally, including all their weapons."
"We can worry about the 'hows' and 'whys' once this is over. Let's focus on getting All-Might and the others free so they can nail these guys." Yaato said.
"Once the security system is out of the villains' hands they're out of hostages, right? They can't direct the drones to attack anyone." Rebecca said.
Izuku nodded. "We need to be careful not to fight any of the villains unless we're either confronted or we know we can take them without any issue. This is what we're training for... To be able to save people. We have to do this. Whatever these villains want, we can't let them get it."
"I know where the security center is, I can guide you all there. We need to get to the top floor of the central tower, 200 floors up." Melissa said. "Chances are they disabled the authentication locks and password, which would let us restart the system without issue. If we stay off the villains' radar, we should be able to take out their hacker and get the system running."
"Pretty big 'if'. If they've planned this far ahead, then I wouldn't put it past them to have the stairs blocked off at some level, just in case someone lagged behind getting to the party." Katsuki said.
"We do have one advantage; the villains haven't discovered us yet." Mukuro pointed out.
Melissa nodded. "The security system could have easily sniffed us out. The fact that it hasn't means they don't know how it works very well."
"That won't last long. I overheard the leader taking away your dad and his assistant. Not to mention they'd be stupid to have their hacker by himself in the security room." Kyouka said.
Melissa gasped in worry and Marco reached to assure her all would be okay, but someone beat him to it.
"True, but most of the regular gunmen will be in the dining hall. At worst, we'd only be dealing with a few lieutenants." Momo pointed out.
"And with us all gathered together, we can take these creeps down with no problem!" Kohaku cheered.
"Let's do this. We'll hit that security network and save everyone!" Ochako said.
Tenya nodded. "Even if I was against this plan, trying to get to safety would be pointless. The only possibility would be to somehow reach the airport and leave the island. Reaching the security system to regain control seems far easier compared to that."
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's get going!" Eijirou said.
Nimona smirked. "Yeah, let's show those guys! We'll blitz past them and have the heroes on their rears before they can cry 'Uncle'!"
"I'm going as well," Melissa said firmly. "No offense, but I don't think any of you would be able to work this security."
"True. I doubt it's the same as Egghead." Sumiko admitted.
DEVIL
Meanwhile, David and Sam were brought up to where Specs was still working on the security network.
"Ah, good. You brought someone. Have him unlock the vault, Swordkil. Damn thing's on a separate network from the rest of the security."
Swordkil activated his Quirk,[Blade], to turn his arm into a blade, then held it up to David's neck.
"You heard him. Get that vault open."
David narrowed his eyes. "And what could you possibly want from there?"
"You'll find out when you get it open. Now get to it or I direct this blade to your friend instead."
DEVIL
The group decided the stairs while time-consuming would be the best option. And had just reached the 80 floor only to see the passageway blocked.
"Ugh...200 floors and I have to haul this fat ass..." Kyouka groaned. "Why can't Chikara just make us fly or something?"
"Indeed...this is one of the hardships of..." Momo took a deep breath. "Being...obese..."
"Ah, it's not that hard, you bunch of babies!" Hilda laughed.
"Easy for you to say!" Mina whined. "You've been working out with all that muscle under that big blubber!"
"How do you propose we get past this door?" Bakara wondered.
"Should we try breaking through it?" N suggested.
"Not a good idea. While with all our combined power we could certainly bust it down in seconds, but that would alert the security network and bring the villains right on our asses." Katsuki said.
"Is there another way past, Melissa?" Marco asked.
Before Melissa could think of something, Minoru looked to another door.
"Where does this lead?"
"The plant factory, where they study the effects of anomalies on fauna. There's probably a way to move up from there, but it's a security lock."
"Well, the bad guys are probably going to find out about us no matter what...LET'S BARGE THROUGH!" Nimona grinned, turning into a rhinoceros and smashing through the door.
"Man, am I lucky I picked her!" Minoru beamed as everyone else followed.
DEVIL
Specs got the alert when the security door opened.
"The hell? Who could still be able to move in this situation? I could have sworn I scanned each level."
He brought up the security feed and spotted the young heroes running through the halls.
"Damn it... Wolfram, we have stragglers on the 80th floor. Looks like they're making for the emergency stairs."
"That's what we get for not fully checking the network first. Nothing for it. Trap them on the 80th using the security barriers. I'll send Nobu and Daigo up to capture them."
DEVIL
As the young heroes saw the barriers closing up, Shoto quickly shot out an ice stream to wedge the closest one open. Tenya quickly leaped through the opening at high speed and struck the door behind it.
"Everyone inside! Quickly!"
Once in the plant factory, Kobeni gasped as she spotted the elevator coming up.
"Everybody hide!"
The team quickly went inside the foliage, Izuku using the[Calm-Calm Fruit]to completely conceal their presence while Ben used a Quirk called[Stealth Dome]to hide everyone completely.
Two men stepped up, Penny scanning them quietly.
"They have military-grade body armor. These men are professionals. Just staying here and hiding isn't going to be an option."
"But we can't waste any time fighting them either. The longer we take, the more time these people have to get whatever they came for." Bakara said.
"It's only two creeps. Four of us can keep them here while the rest keep going. We just need to make sure those four can handle these extras." Katsuki said.
Izuku nodded. "Kaachan, you, Todoroki, Kirishima, and Toga hold them here. We'll find a way forward."
The four all stood up and moved out, Shoto launching an ice sheet to block the two villains.
"The hell?!" Nobu, a man with a rat-like face, exclaimed as he activated his Quirk,[Displacement], spreading out his hand in a webbed pattern as a transparent orb appeared in his hand. The sounds of the orb's effect could be heard on the other side of the ice sheet.
"That sounds like I've only bought five minutes at most. You guys need to get going." Shoto said.
"Good luck, Himi-Chan!" Lilique called out as her friend gave a fanged grin.
"Thanks for the words of encouragement!"
Kohaku slammed her palms down and created a giant stone platform to carry everyone else to the upper level while Katsuki, Shoto, Eijirou, and Himiko stayed behind as Nobu managed to break through the ice, Daigo stepping through to confront the heroes.
"You wanna pick a fight? Then let's see how tough you are!"
He activated his Quirk,[Brute], which transformed him into what could best be described as a purple hairless gorilla. He smashed through Shoto's ice but was blown back by one of Katsuki's explosions. As Daigo recovered and went to counterattack, he was blocked by Eijirou's hardened body, but the blow sent him right into the wall.
Nobu launched his Quirk to attack, only for Himiko to dodge aside and then charge with her swords drawn. Needless to say, Nobu saw how outclassed he really was but didn't have time to regret his decision...
DEVIL
The rest of the group was making good time and had very little trouble. They made it through an emergency hatch with Izuku removing the hatch with the[Mochi-Mochi Fruit]before grabbing Minoru and raising him to the hatch so he could lower the ladder, Nimona turning into a meerkat and climbing up to help him out.
After that, they entered some kind of power room and were about to be surrounded by security bots but Sumiko smirked as she held up her crystal ball.
"EXTERMINATE RAY!"
A massive beam of magical energy burst from the crystal ball. When the beam dissipated, the security bots had been reduced to atoms in the wind.
"Remind me not to get on her bad side..." Denki whimpered.
"I doubt you'll have any problems. She's pretty even-tempered." Rosa smiled.
DEVIL
"Wolfram, I managed to ID the kids in the tower. They're UA High students. Hero Course, Class 1-A. Which makes them very dangerous in a confrontation." Specs said.
"So we're not dealing with brats with a hero complex, but well-trained fledglings who know what they're doing. They must be trying to regain control of the security system. Be on alert. You made sure to send security drones out to the 80th floor, right?"
"Yes, sir."
"Then raise any barriers between Floor 100 and 130."
"Are you sure?" Specs asked. "That'll just make it easier for them."
'Just do it! We need to capture them before they screw everything up!"
"I wouldn't bother." A new voice cut in, startling the mercenary leader. "Dr. Vegapunk at your service, Wolfram. I'd say it was a pleasure to meet you, but that would be a lie. Anyways, that's enough about me; this old man is just letting you know that my grandchildren and their crew, including the next symbol of heroism, Izuku Midoriya are on their way to not only save your hostages, but leave you and your posse crippled for life. Do try, but if I were you, I'd start to surrender. And Saturn? I know you're here and let this happen; so I've taken the liberty of recording and streaming the children's progress to their families and UA. Don't worry, only Wolfram and you know I know, and who'll they believe?"
To say that Saturn, still in his hotel room and having been listening in on/transcribing the terroroists, was annoyed with Vegapunk would be gross understatement. But, at this point there was nothing he could do…at least in the flesh.
He went over to his computer, determined to view the stream. If nothing else, this should keep him entertained.
ACESS DENIED. NETWORK DOWN FOR MAINTENCE
"….That magnificent apple headed bastard." Saturn grumbled. With no other choice left, he turned on the TV and started on his room service.
DEVIL
After Melissa pointed them in the right direction the gang found themselves in a server room where more robots appeared.
"Ugh, these guys are persistent!" Makoto huffed as he stepped forward to attack.
"No, stop! We can't risk the servers getting damaged!" Melissa warned.
"Don't worry, I got this!" Izuku smiled as he formed balls of candy the size of marbles with the[Lick-Lick Fruit]before throwing them."CANDY BOMB!"
The candy balls rolled up to the robots before exploding, splattering sticky candy everywhere and trapping all the robots. With them out of the way, the crew reached the wind power generators outside the tower.
"There's likely to be more drones in the building. Our only chance is to climb this and reach the upper levels using the emergency exit at the top." Melissa explained.
"INTRUDERS DETECTED. USE OF LETHAL FORCE AUTHORIZED."
Hearing the booming metallic voice, everyone turned to see six crimson-armored robots with glowing yellow optics armed to the teeth approaching them.
"What the hell are those things?!" Minoru screamed at the six robotic giants in front of them.
"They're the Sentinels. Combat robots that are meant to act in situations that are too dangerous for normal heroes, but they're only in the prototype right now." Melissa said breathlessly.
"Damn it! I knew things were going too well!" Denki cursed. "So does anyone have any ideas?"
"Don't ask such stupid questions!" A familiar voice as an explosion engulfed one of them while one was engulfed in fire and another was suddenly covered in gashes, as Katsuki, Shoto, Eijirou, and Himiko appeared in front of them.
"I take it the villains are detained?" Mukuro guessed.
"Yup! They never saw us coming!" Himiko beamed.
"Uh, guys..." Lilique nervously said as everyone saw the damage to the Sentinels was being repaired quickly.
"Oh come on! How the hell is that fair?!" Rebecca complained.
"It's got advanced healing capabilities, the only way to stop a part of its body from regenerating is to either cut off one of the parts completely or to shut it down. Its power source should be in the center of the bot." Melissa explained with the group nodding in understanding.
"A small group of us should split off and get Melissa to the top so we can finish the job," Ben said. "The rest of us will stay here and take down these tin toys."
"I saw we give 'em a show!" Uta smiled as she stepped forward and began to sing."Buddy, you're a boy, making big noise saying-"
"Awww, I love that song!" Makoto grinned as he listened to Uta singing one of Queen's more underrated songs.
"Let's smash these trash cans!" Rebecca grinned as she sprouted glowing chainsaw blades from her wrists.
Izuku, Marco, Melissa, Ben, Hilda, Penny, Ochako, Vivi, N, Bakara, Mukuro, and Kobeni split off as everyone else charged the Sentinels. Izuku used the[Float-Float Fruit]to help carry Mukuro and Kobeni while Ochako used her Quirk on herself, Bakara made a Glyph that launched her in the air while Penny used her jet boots.
"Hold on tightly," N said to Hilda as his arms became more muscular and pure white with rope-like fingers while sprouting large wings to fly.
Ben, Marco, and Vivi manipulated the wind to fly up after the rest of their friends. As they made their way to the door, Izuku felt his Haki flare to life and used the[Arms-Arms Fruit]to turn his arm into a blade, blocking Swordkil's own blade arm.
"I gotta hand it to you. The boss never expected you would be here." Swordkil admitted with a chuckle. "But it doesn't matter ;we will succeed."
To his surprise, Izuku let out a smile.
"Interesting but do you know something else you didn't expect?"
"What?"
"A big fat beautiful brunette smashing you."
Swordkil barely had time to react as Hilda slammed herOFA-charged fist into his face, breaking his nose and orbital bone as he was sent flying into a wall, falling unconscious quickly.
"Man, you guys are so cool!" Melissa smiled.
DEVIL
The fight against the Sentinels was simpler than expected with the group divided into teams to take care of the six killer robots. Kazuya'sSun Mode, Rebecca's vast arsenal of weapons, Sumiko's vast array of spells, Kobeni's Pop Greens, Uta's reality-bending singing, Milo and Himiko's sword skills, and all the other factors combined meant the Sentinels were reduced to scrap.
"Whoooo! Teamwork, baby!" Mina cheered as she bumped bellies with Rosa.
"Indeed. Working together, we can overcome any obstacle." Momo smiled.
"I'm getting the hang of my upgraded Quirk!" Denki grinned as he charged electricity through his hands.
Milo was standing on one of the Sentinel's remains, using their phone to snap a quick selfie with Kohaku and Shun.
"Come on, you assholes! We gotta catch up with Deku and the others!" Katsuki barked.
DEVIL
With only basic gunmen left to defend the control room, it was easy for Izuku's group to take them down and reach the top floor.
"Inefficient. I've faced deadlier during my time in Fenrir." Mukuro huffed.
Melissa gasped when she saw several gunmen guarding David, making him and Sam work on the security system for the vault.
"It worked sir, we got it back." Sam said as he pulled out a briefcase.
"Is this what you came here for?" David asked the gunmen. "The device is incomplete and still unstable. Just a prototype really. And I had the research frozen for safety reasons."
"I'm sure we can find someone as talented as you to finish it." One of the gunmen said. "Not that we plan to kill you after all this, but our boss knows your cooperation would likely end here, so he doesn't want to push his luck."
"We will be paid for this, I hope?" Sam asked.
David turned to his assistant. "Paid? So you have a stake in this, Sam?"
Sam looked at David with a guilty look on his face, knowing he needed to come clean.
"Come on David, what did you expect me to do? I can't live on ideals alone, we're not as noble as you."
"I can't believe you, Sam!" Melissa called out.
The gunmen turned to see Izuku's group charge in. Marco used hisMagnetism Elementto yank the guns out of their hands, followed by Mukuro taking them out with CQC maneuvers as Kobeni shot Pop Greens that burst into vines which restrained them.
David sighed in relief. "Melissa, thank Horikoshi you're alright."
"What's going on here, Professor Shield?" N asked.
David grunted. "Apparently, Sam here wanted monetary compensation for his work in our Quirk Amplification Device project that he restored to hiring gunrunners to steal it under the guise of a villain attack."
"Quirk Amplification Device?" Hilda asked.
"I first made it in hopes of helping All-Might retain his strength after the injuries he suffered six years ago. But after I heard he was healed, I listened to the concerns of the board and had the project canceled." David explained. "The device can magnify a person's Quirk in a manner similar to Trigger but without the debilitating side effects."
David then gave Sam a glare.
"Sam initially suggested we steal the project back after the board canceled it, but with Toshinori's injuries healed, I saw no reason to...I had no idea he was being serious."
"And a darn shame he didn't realize just what sort of people he was truly dealing with."
Everyone whirled to see Wolfram, the leader of the gunrunners, approaching, just as he placed his hand on the vault door, launching the nearby hand rails to collectively tie up Izuku's group.
"Shit!" Ben cursed.
"Nice, huh? My Quirk,[Metal Manipulation]." Wolfram explained with a smirk. "Now then, Sam, if you'll hand over the goods, we'll be sure to vacate the island as intended."
"What? But I was hiring you to help me get it." Sam said in shock.
"And we did. But when we learned just what it is you were trying to obtain, we figured we could get even more money selling it off to the highest bidder. Plenty of people would pay at least twice what you offered us for such a device. And since you were so kind as to pay us up front..." Wolfram then drew a pistol from his coat. "Our contract is officially terminated."
Everyone could only watch in horror as Sam fell to the ground clutching the wound on his stomach trying to stop the bleeding.
"You know it kind of disgusts me that you did all this to make a quick buck, but then again I'm in the same boat so I'm not one to talk. Still, maybe if you could have controlled that greed you might not have ended up here." Wolfram chuckled as he pointed his gun at Sam's head. "Just something to think about in your next life."
Before Wolfram could pull the trigger, his gun was shot out of his hand by Mukuro, who still had one of her arms free and summoned a handgun of her own to shoot it out of his hand with expert precision.
Wolfram could only chuckle as he tossed the ruined gun to the side.
"Surprising, but pointless."
The gunrunner quickly placed his hand on the ground and before anyone could react, two pillars of metal from either side of Sam shot up, crushing his head like a grape.
"You bastard!" David shouted as he rammed into Wolfram, surprising him.
As for Izuku's group, Marco used theIron Elementto force the metal bindings off them. Specs was nearby and moved to grab the briefcase, only for Kobeni to hit him with a Pop Green that released a flower that latched onto his face and released a sweet-smelling pheromone that put him to sleep.
"Damn it, it's always something!" Wolfram called out.
"You will not be getting off this island scot-free, Wolfram," Penny said as she used her Configuration of Kyouka's Quirk to turn her arms into sonic blasters. "Surrender quietly."
"Okay, okay..." Wolfram chuckled, raising his hands in surrender...only to slam them into the ground and create a giant thick metal wall between him and the others.
"Bastard!" Ben cursed as he enlarged his arm with[Hypetrophy]and created bone spikes on his knuckles to try and punch through.
Knowing the wall wouldn't hold the combined power of the young heroes forever, Wolfram snagged the briefcase and made a run for it.
"Melissa, free the heroes down at the door. We'll try and stop him!" Mukuro ordered.
Melissa nodded and ran for the control panel, Ochako going to accompany her as the remaining ten members of Izuku's group rushed after Wolfram after breaking past his barricade.
DEVIL
The gunmen still at the party were shocked to see the Pro Geroes get released from their restraints. The two near All-Might found their heads knocked together once he was free.
"You really should have figured it out. Somehow villain schemes always seem to have a hole in them. Now if you'll excuse me, I have an old friend to save!"
He quickly raced through the halls to the upper floors. He got stopped by a call on his smartphone, realizing it was from Melissa.
'Uncle Might! Thank goodness I got through! Those villains stole some of Papa's research. You need to stop those villains from escaping, the research they took can magnify Quirks!'
"So that's what Dave was working on. No wonder he agreed to shut down the research. I'm on my way!"
DEVIL
Wolfram reached the helipad with the case.
"Is it just you, Boss? Where's everyone else?" The chopper pilot asked.
"If they aren't captured by now, they will be when the security system reboots. We have no choice but to leave them. All we have to do is take this to someone who can reverse engineer it, then mass produce it to make a mint." Wolfram said.
Just then, he saw some kind of purple smoke surround the helipad. As he and the pilot looked around, he felt something grab at the case. He pulled back and saw a dark-colored tendril grabbing it.
"Yoink!" Hilda smirked.
"You damn brats!" Wolfram growled as he slapped the ground, launching metal pillars to keep Hilda at bay. "Start the chopper! Let's get out of here right now!"
The pilot quickly got the chopper started as Wolfram got on it. Izuku narrowed his eyes as he was about to take off after it when a blur shot past him and into the air.
"'Bout damn time," Ben smirked.
"All-Might is here!" Kobeni beamed in relief.
"NEW HAMPSHIRE SMASH!"
The Symbol of Peace launched himself backward down to the chopper, smashing through and grabbing both the pilot and Wolfram on the way, slamming them onto the helipad as the chopper exploded.
"Well, look at that you, actually on time for once." Izuku joked.
All-Might laughed."What can I say Young Midoriya? I can be punctual when I want to be."
Wolfram chuckled. "Not bad, All-Might. You're just as powerful as I'd heard. But you forgot one thing..."
He opened the case to reveal the Quirk Amplification Device. Everyone's eyes widened in horror but were too late to stop him as he activated it.
"...You should have made sure this was still on the chopper when you smashed it!"
Activating his Quirk, Wolfram sent several giant metal constructs that slammed into everyone, sending them flying into the emergency exit. Bakara had made a large Glyph to soften the impact for everyone while Mukuro had shielded Kobeni, Hilda doing the same for Vivi and N.
"Okay, that's gonna bruise..." Ben groaned.
"You okay, Click?" Marco asked his beetle companion, who chirped in affirmation.
"Professor Shield was wise to have the research shut down if it could give Wolfram that sort of power..." Penny noted weakly.
"Looks like I can start things over again!" Wolfram said, now donning the device on his head. "This power is more than I imagined! If it can do this with me, just think how many people will pay for it to enhance their own powers!"
"Gotta give him credit, he's still focused on profit even now," David noted as he came in. "But with his Quirk magnified, he can turn the entire tower into a weapon. I'd hoped to tone down the enhancement level, but I had to freeze the research before I could figure out how."
"Are we screwed?" Kobeni gulped.
"I'm not exactly sure..." Mukuro noted.
"With this much power, I could probably take on anyone! But why just be powerful when I could also be rich? If I kill the #1 Hero using this device, I can charge whatever I want to whoever wants one!" Wolfram cackled, sending debris downwards.
"You certainly have a lot of people wanting to kill you, All-Might," Vivi noted.
All-Might shrugged."When you've been keeping down crime as long as I have, pretty much every villain wants you out of the way, Young Nefertari."
"Who needs his help?!" Wolfram cackled. "Hell, after All Might and you brats, I'll track him down and wipe him off
"HA! Good luck with that, asshole!" Ben, despite it all, cackled as Penny flew him and he fired attacks away. "If it were that easy, that bastard would have been dead long ago!"
Wolfram didn't hear the boy, marvelling at the destruction he was causing. He was so wrapped up in his power, he didn't even register the kids repelling most of the attacks, he sent them back.
Makoto stepped forward, preparing the strongest [Full Counter] he could…when suddenly, something struck the cackling Wolfram, which enabled the returned debris to strike him.
"STAND STILL, ALL MIGHT!" The villain roared
"Um…That's not me." All Might said, making all activity stop.
Wolfram suddenly felt another powerful punch that broke his nose and he spied his attacker: What looked like an mechanized All Might, but moving with the fluidty of someone in a suit.
The others, confused yet welcoming of this, had their jaws dropped. All that is, except Marco.
'No…way!' The bio-droid thought hopefully as the newcomer landed in front of the crew and All Might, their mask opening up to reveal….
"MELISSA?!" Everyone but Marco gasped in shock as the blonde genius smirked
"WOHOOOO!" Marco cheered as he leapt to join her, the crew quickly joining in. "Looking good!"
Melissa smiled then glanced down when she saw someone tapping on her thigh.
"Sup, choom?" Rebecca grinned to the newcomer. "Nice tech!"
"You must be Rebecca." Melissa beamed, amazed at her cybernetics.
"Accept no substitute!...After we stop this guy." The cyborg girl beamed as she and the others all readied for battle.
"No need to worry, everyone." Melissa, having hacked into the communicators, announced. "Why?"
She motioned to Izuku, who looked at the others.
"Because…." Izuku, Hilda and Rosa continued.
"We…!" The Seraphim followed.
"ARE…!" Katsuki, Ben and Penny countined.
"….HERE!" The others finished, as the crew then leapt forward to meet an enraged Wolfram head on!
