Ch. 1: The Players, Part 1
Author: I'm making the miraculous characters also mythological/fairy tale characters while keeping their miraculous selves personalities and while most have powers based on their miraculous selves, some have powers that are inspired both by them and what I think they fairy tale selves would have.
Author: Plus, I'm posting two per week. I'm also changing so Marinette, Adrien and Chloe are living in Atlas.
Red And Black
Marinette Grant was a fifteen, half Italian (Italians being so rare) and half Japanese girl living in Atlas. She had blue hair (inherited from her mother) that she kept in a neat bun and blue eyes (also inherited from her mother). She was wearing her trademark outfit which was a red short skirted dress, a black corset on top, black fingerless gloves, black stockings and red shoes.
She lived with her single mother in her bakery shop with Marinette's father having passed a short while ago in a mugging gone wrong but she didn't cry about it as she had his yo-yo albeit dust infused by her as she wanted to use it as her weapon in her fight against Grimm, that's right she wanted to be a huntsman
But her dream was laughed at, manly by Chloe Midas and her assistant Sabrina Cerberus (she was an orange haired that she kept in a headband and green eyed sixteen-year-old. She didn't get to wear what she wanted. Instead wearing a purple sleeveless sweeter over a white long-sleeved shirt that had a purple bow, a white skirt apron, purple pants and white shoes/gloves).
Sabrina was a dog Faunus and with Marinette's seemingly useless semblance. Random, that created random objects. Who could blame them for laughing but after sharpening her mind and with her trusted dust infused yo-yo.
She was going to show them all, even if she wasn't let by the instructors to take the exams granting transcripts to go to a huntsmen academy. Even when she found out from Chloe, it was most likely her doing.
On that day, Marinette toke out her frustrations in her training place, on her training dummies. It was the nearby dump and the dummies were piles of trash. Using her yo-yo which could turn on fire thanks to fire dust and had the ability to take down or/and let her drag things/enemies much heavier than it/her thanks to it's gravity dust.
With her only audience being some birds, specifically crows. When while she wasn't watching, a specific crow turned into a man with a scythe and he said "You'll be a fine huntswoman someday." Making her miss her mark and the yo-yo instead bounced around until it went towards the man who caught it like it was nothing
Making her say "Sorry, you really frightened me there with suddenly talking. I'm..." But was cut off by the man who said "Marinette Grant, I know who you are. I've been watching you for a while."
Getting Marinette to look around while saying "What, how? The only ones ever here are just crows and you're not a crow, (she then said playfully) are you?" Getting the man to laugh and say "No, I guess not but what I am is curious about you."
"Well, don't be as I'm banned from taking the test for transcripts. So, my huntsmen training has ended before it even began." Said Marinette, only for the man to say "What if it doesn't have to?"
This got Marinette to laugh and say "Come on, you're kidding. It's not like you have the power to go against a Midas."
"No but I do have the power to write transcripts, myself. (sees Marinette's worried that this is shady business face) Don't worry, it's super legal. You might've heard of me, Qrow Branwen. Huntsmen at your service."
The man now known as Qrow said, Marinette instantly recognized the name and him by the scythe and she said "Wow, it's really you. A real huntsman in front of me, I mean I've seen huntsmen before. That's why I wanted to become one but wow. Just wow, will you really let me become a huntsman?"
Qrow then said as he started drawing a circle in the dirt "If you beat me in a fight that is (he puts on an armband that measures aura), you know the rules (hands her one, which she puts on and undo's the bun for twin tails). You get my aura in the red, push me out of bonds or I forfeit you win. I do your transcripts but if I do one of those to you. I win. Now go!"
Qrow instantly got out his scythe and started to approach Marinette when she tied him with her yo-yo which was set on fire. Getting a "Using a long-ranged weapon and setting it on fire to boot, nice but will it be enough?"
He then boosted himself forward with bullets coming out of his scythe and reed it's head. That's when Marinette used her semblance and got a chair and used that to defend while she kicked him in the balls
Qrow than said while clutching his balls "Attacking while defending, nice. Also, good semblance you got there." "Really but it's so useless with it..." But was interrupted by a punch to the face by Qrow
Who said "Remember not to monolog, while talking is important to work with teammates. You must never forget to fight while you are doing it!" And he blasted himself in the air with bullets and while he was coming down, Marinette swung the chair at his balls.
While he defended his balls this time, she readied for an attack and punched him in the face. While he was stumbling back, she used the chair to trip him and she said while over him and pointing the chair at his face "Do you forfeit?"
"Yes, (Marinette helps him up) that was excellent. Pure excellent, using the chair to get me to leave my guard open and then using it to literally trip me up. Brillant, you'll make a fine huntsman. I'm going to write the transcripts now."
Qrow said, only for Marinette to say "Really, thank you thank you thank you thank you." She said the thank yous while rapidly shaking his hand and him up and down, only stopping when he put a hand on her shoulder and said
"Woah, lots of energy there. Keep that reserved for the Grimm." "Sorry, just really excited. You know." Marinette said, only for Qrow to say "Yah, I know. I was damm excited when I went to Beacon too and it looks like I'm not the only one impressed with your work, look over there (Qrow said while pointing to a boy Marinette didn't know)."
Black And Green
Adrien Hercules was a blond and green eyed, sixteen-year-old American. Who didn't wear what he wanted, not wanting to upset his dear sweet mother (Emilee, a retired actress) who gave him freedom. Despite the fact she told him she would love him regardless of his clothing choice.
So, instead he wore the last thing his overbearing father (Gabriel, a fashion designer) forced Adrien to wear before the divorce and Emilee won sole custody. A red scarf, a white long-sleeved jacket, a black shirt with a cat paw on it (the only thing in the outfit that Adrien picked), white cargo pants, black gloves and black shoes
Adrien was not happy about the divorce obviously but not for the reasons you think for it was over him, specifically what he did accidentally to his poor sweet mother. He hurt her with his apparent semblance, Super Strength. Which makes him super strong like all the time and he has to constantly hold back.
Luckily, she was able to make it with Gabriel's semblance Boost, which can boost one thing about another person. And the best medics and dust powered medical equipment money could buy. She was able to recover from her coma that Adrien put her into.
Ever since that day, Adrien used it with caution against other people. Even Grimm, despite his parent's insistence that the divorce was not about what he done but they different approaches to handling what to do with him after.
Gabriel wanted to keep Adrien locked up inside and to micromanage his life under the pretense that it was for Adrien's own safety and so he wouldn't accidentally hurt anyone else but the jury overseeing the divorce saw right through that and ruled in favor of Emilee
So, there Adrien was. Nine months after the divorce with his hair now reaching his shoulders. Holding his baton and his gravity dust in hand, trying to get up the courage to tell his mother about his dream of becoming a huntsman. Something he dreamed and trained for in secret for his whole life
When his mother noticed him and said "You want to be a huntsman, don't you?" "Uh, I. How did you know?" Adrien asked, only for Emilee to answer with "You think I don't notice you going out for endless hours and coming back. Worked out and sweat covered, plus I heard you geek out over huntsmen and put the pieces together."
"Was I that obvious?" Adrien asked, only for Emilee to say "Yes, a little. There's nothing to be ashamed about, this is your dream we're talking about. One I fully support." "Really?" Adrien asked, only for Emilee to say "Really, really."
"Thank you, thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!" Adrien said while bouncing up and down, only stopping both the bouncing and the thank yous when Emilee said "Now, enough with the thank yous, you'll need to get ready for your test to get your transcripts."
"Oh, right. Almost forgot. Have to go train." Adrien said, then went off to train. Leaving his mother behind who was chuckling about her son. The next day, he and Chloe went to the test with Chloe noticing a girl in red and black. Adrien didn't recognize and then paid the doorman a lot of money.
Adrien, curios stayed behind and saw that the girl in red and black was not allowed in and Adrien marched up to Chloe and he said "Did you just ban that girl over there? (while pointing to the girl in red and black)"
"Oh, that's just Grant. She's of no importance and should really not be trying out to be a huntsman with her useless semblance." Chloe said, only for Adrien to say "Don't say that, no one is of no importance and there's no such thing as a useless semblance. It's all about how we use it, now unban her right now."
"But..." Chloe said but was interrupted by Adrien saying "Now!" Chloe then ran off to the doormen while crying and Adrien went to find the girl wearing red and black and after a while of looking. Found her in the dump, fighting Qrow and Adrien was awestricken.
She was amazing, her moves, her fighting style, the way she used her strange semblance. He couldn't help but fall in love, that's when after the fight was over. When Qrow brought her attention over to Adrien, he couldn't help but flinch.
And said "Sorry, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to stare, it's just (talking to Marinette) you're so amazing. With that fighting, working with that strange semblance and that strategizing. The strategizing (Adrien swooned), I'm Adrien. Adrien Hercules but you probably haven't heard of me since I keep to myself most of the time."
"I haven't heard of you but I have a good idea who you're with." The girl in red and black said, much to Adrien's confusion until she pointed to a hidden Chloe that was watching them. "Oh, look I know you're not the biggest fan of hers after she banned you from going to the test for the transcripts but she's cool. She's actually my only friend."
Adrien said, getting the girl in red and black to say "I'm so sorry, I didn't know that. That must be really bad if Chloe's your only friend." She said while falling in love with Adrien, only for him to say "Nah, she isn't so bad once you get to know her. She even lifted the ban on you, so you can take the test the normal way. Not that you need it."
Only for the girl in red and black to say "Really?" "Really, I'm truly sorry. I'm not in a position to say whether or not you should be allowed in, plus if Adrikins says your good then your good." Chloe said while approaching the girl in red and black
The two girls shoke hands but then the clock in the middle of town striked and Chloe said "Oh, no. Adrikins, your test for your transcripts." "Don't worry, little lady. Luckily, I have authority to get the test takers to let him take the test tomorrow. If that's okay with you"
Qrow said, only for Chloe to hug Adrien and jump up and down with him in her arms while saying "Oh, Adrikins. We're going to be huntsmen, isn't that great." "We?" Adrien asked, only for Chloe to say "Yes, we. Me and Sabrina are going to become huntsmen too, being good feels good and this is the most good I know. If that's okay with you Qrow?"
"I can pull that off!" Said Qrow and she and Adrien left but before they did the girl in red and black said "My name's Marinette by the way, Marinette Grant." She said as she was taking out the twin tails but was stopped by Adrien who said "It's nice to meet you Marinette and by the way I like the twin tails better." Adrien said while shaking her hand
The next day, thanks to Qrow. Adrien and Chloe toke their test with Adrien getting a woman named Bustier Cupid, who's semblance was to make all that she hit with her lipstick her love slaves
Adrien and Ms. Cupid got in the ring and got on their arm bands, with Ms. Cupid saying "Fight!" And instantly launched several kisses at Adrien who destroyed them all with his baton and threw gravity dust at Cupid who jumped over it
But while in mid-jump, Adrien stricked with an with his baton now having a rock on it. Knocking her back and while dazed from the attack, Adrien striked again with a punch to her face fueled by his super strength.
Knocking her back even more but that's when she got out her lipstick and turned it into a spear with lipstick at the end and attacked him with the spear but he blocked with his baton and while they were there, she tried to hit him with her free hand and he caught it with his free hand
But she said "What are you going to do now, come one. Spit it out!" Only for him to literally spit gravity dust in her face, making her flout and while flouting. He roundhouse kicked her out of the ring
Getting her to say "Very impressive, keeping dust in your mouth to not only free up your hands but also to deliver it to your opponent but that rock attack, it didn't come from dust. How did it happen? Did you lie on your transcripts?"
"No! I guess, that's also what my semblance can do also and I'm discovering it now" Adrien said but Ms. Cupid wasn't convinced due to his super strength and the rock attack having nothing in similarly but she said nothing about it and said
"Well, it looks like you need to control your 'semblance' because you're going to Beacon
