Chapter 1

The sword from a different angle by kewes

Walking back home at a fast pace, Emiya Shirou couldn't get the fact that he was alive out of his head, although a few minutes ago he was sure that he was dead. Then he remembered that he saw two people in strange clothes fighting. And they clearly had inhuman abilities, it was impossible to deal such strong blows and move so fast. At that moment, he could have watched their fight forever, but one of his unsuccessful steps provoked that guy in blue with a red spear and at that moment all his instincts told him to run. And he ran. To the school, the place that seemed the most successful for him to hide, but no, that blue guy caught up and dealt a light blow to where the heart should be, when he woke up, the first thought wasthat this was a dream. But when he woke up, he realized that it was not a dream, the red stain on his clothes clearly indicated what happened and it didn't help that he woke up in school. When he stood up, he saw a red stone on a chain and remembered that before he lost consciousness, an unknown person came to him and took this object out. Having taken this object, he obviously decided that he would give it back and thank his savior for saving his life, and ran home, hoping to get his thoughts in order.

When Emiya Shirou arrived at the inn at home, he had calmed down a bit, but his head was still full of thoughts about what had happened. When suddenly he suddenly felt a strong desire to kill and purely instinctively did a somersault to the side, and just in time, the same spearman attacked the place where he was half a second ago.

He was a little surprised and said with such a calm expression, "I attacked from behindbecause it would have been more difficult if you were expecting an attack." Shirou at thistime picked up the folded envelope with the poster next to him and said, "Trace on," after theposter was covered in blue lines, clearly showing that the "fortification" had gone smoothly.

The spearman's face showed slight surprise and he said, "Boy, at least reach the underworld this time." Then came an attack, which Shirou tried to parry and even partially succeeded, but the spear still pierced the outside of his forearm, after which the spearman said, "Unusual style. There is a flow of mana, although weak, that's why you are alive even after being hit in the heart." At this point, Shirou retreated, and the guy in blue said "Well, at least we will have fun."

Over the next few minutes, the spearman kicked Emiya Shirou as much as he wanted, leading them to a small room in the courtyard of the house, where his improvised weapon was destroyed and the spearman said that he was to become some kind of "seventh", and then prepared to kill him. "No. I can't die now. I made a promise. I survived. I was saved, andI won't give up my life so easily. At the hands of a guy who kills without reason." Thinking about this, Emiya Shirou unconsciously clenched his fist, and three strangely shaped red symbols began to appear on it.

*Throne of Heroes*

In the Throne of Heroes, one heroic soul felt a call from someone who spoke of killing innocent people and seemed to be asking for help. As someone who had saved countless lives during his long life, he could not help but answer this call. And so, his new journeybegan.

*With Shirou*

At that moment, a memorable light flashed to the left of Emiya Shirou, from which a figure appeared for the first time. The blue-clad spearman said in shock, "The seventh servant?", after which he was thrown out of the room, and in his place appeared a figure who immediately turned to Shirou. It was a man in his 20s, he had light, almost platinum hair. He had blue eyes. He was dressed in black pants and a black T-shirt, and on top of that was something similar to a robe, only without a belt and thinner. It also clearly did not restrict him in any way, and was dark blue with black elements. Then he asked:

"Saber-class servant. I ask you, are you my master?"

Shirou could only ask in shock, "Master?"

At that moment, the man's face showed surprise, and then he said, "Yes, I am a Saber-classservant who came at your request. Our bonds are now bound by a contract. But it seems likeyou don't understand much right now, sit here and I will deal with that guy who attacked you.I will explain everything later."

After which, an incomprehensible yellow haze appeared in the man's hands, and he flew outinto the street.

Shirou followed him to the threshold of a small room, asking: "What agreement?"

But when he rose higher, he saw two men who began to fight.

The sound of blows did not stop for a long time, not even for a second, and the fight continued on equal terms. This so-called "Saber". fought with him on equal terms, although it was clear that the spearman was a little faster, but due to the incomprehensible glow in Saber's hands, which Shirou took for a weapon, as well as, as it seemed to him, great physical strength, Saber slowly dominated the spearman.

After a few seconds, the guy with the spear retreated a little and with a slight prick of anger asked: "What kind of cowardly hero would hide his own weapon?"

"What is the matter, Lancer? If you stand still, bad news will come about the spearmen. Ifyou do not attack, I will," Saber said.

"Before we continue, let me ask, is your weapon a sword?" the spearman asked.

"Perhaps yes, perhaps no, perhaps it's an axe or a bow? Depends on what you like about Lancer," the second figure in blue said with a small chuckle.

"How funny," Lancer laughed a little before taking a stance and asking, "Since this is our firstmeeting, perhaps we should part ways peacefully today?"

"No way, you'll fall today, Lancer," Saber said and braced herself.

"I understand, but I'm just doing some pure reconnaissance," Lancer said, then energy began to flow out of his spear and after a second, he said, "I'm aiming for your heart," then he jumped up and said

"Gae Bolg."

After that, a strange line flew out from the spear, heading towards Saber, intending to pierce his heart, but he deftly blocked it. And even when it seemed like reality itself had changed, the strike was still blocked, but only after Saber was thrown back.

"Gae Bolg? Son, are you from the Irish Light?" Saber asked, but he didn't seem shocked.

At that moment, Lancer turned around and was about to leave, but Saber asked, "Leaving already, Lancer?"

"I wouldn't mind if you, Saber, continued, but you blocked my spear, and my cowardly master is telling me to retreat. But if you want to continue the fight, chase me, I'll be glad, but then remember that you will die!" Lancer replied.

He then made several inhuman leaps, and after that, he was nowhere to be seen. At that moment, Shirou ran up to Saber and asked, "Hey, are you okay?"

"Yes. I understand that you have many questions right now, but I will answer them later, for now, stay behind me, there is one more. And yes, call me Saber," he said calmly, and then turned to the gate of the house.

Shirou did not know why, but the man's words were said correctly, either because he saved him or for some other reason, but Shirou decided to trust him, although not equally.

Literally a couple of seconds later, the same man with white hair and a red cloak appeared, and a young girl he knew, but did not interact with: Tohsaka Rin. Shirou immediately wondered what she was doing here.

A moment later, a shocked Tohsaka asked, "Emiya-kun, are you the master?"

But before he could answer, Saber stood up to protect him, "Yes, he is my master. I amSaber, and the servant with you is, I believe, Archer, young lady?"

"That's right," was all Tohsaka could say, still a little stunned.

"I see, don't worry, young mage, I understand what you're thinking. You thought my master was an ordinary person, and you saved his life when Lancer was chasing him. I could tell bythe magical energy emanating from my master's wound, which was very similar to used healing magic on my master, and for that, I am grateful. But I ask you to leave now." Saber continued.

"Why would I do this?" the Tohsaka heiress asked, recovering from her shock.

"It's not necessary, but I don't think it will do us any good, judging from my master's look, he's already seen your servant, and most likely, your Archer fought Lancer, and as we can see, no one won. I don't think now is the best time for us to fight. Your Archer couldn't defeat Lancer, and I was able to drive him away, who do you think will win the battle now? Besides, if you leave now, you'll probably have fewer opponents in this war, because my master clearly doesn't know what's going on, I'll explain everything to him, and maybe he'll leave the war, and you'll have fewer opponents," Saber said.

After thinking for a few seconds and then looking at her servant who nodded in response to the proposal, the heiress made a decision and said, "Okay, we will leave now, but Saber, after you tell him everything, you must report your decision to the holy church's monitor." After which, she named the place where they needed to go and then left with Archer.

After a few seconds, Saber turned to Shirou and said, "I know you have many questions, but before you ask them, tell me your name?"

"Shirou Emiya," the new master answered automatically.

"I see," he answered briefly, as if thinking.

After a few seconds of silence, Saber spoke again, "Let's go to your home, master, I think it will be easier to answer all your questions there."

The man's words sounded very convincing the second time, and he could only answer, "Yes, of course."

After that, they went to the house where he would be given answers to his questions. Shiro didn't know if these answers would satisfy him, but he felt that his life was about to change.
