Rey stormed in Abhijeet's room only to having him lying unconsciously while doctor was examining in presence of few staffs and shocked and scared Daya hiding his condition. "Abhi!" Rey screamed in panic and fear patting his cheek, "Abhi aankhe kholo kya hua tumhe" He almost cried in fear and asked the staff in same state, "Kya hua Abhi ko, subah takt oh normal tha" all staff downed their head, "Chup kyun ho bolo" he shouted in frustration and panic.
"He got severe allergic attack, Mr. Rey" Doctor calmly informed. "you very well aware ki peanut se inhe severe allergy hai that could risk his life aur inhone I think whole bowl of peanut intake kar liya jisse inki jaan bhi jaa sakti thi"
Rey just got hell shocked hearing about Abhijeet's life at risk. Daya too got stunned and scared as he didn't intend to kill him or went to this extent, he just wanted to indulge and grudge Abhijeet venting out his anger and frustration. He unintentionally stepped back in fear when doctor further informed as, "Abhi toh maine anti biotic injection laga diya jisse inhe fever aayega, but hosh kab tak aayega can't say and please inform me agar 2 din tak hosh na aaye toh. Main nurse ka arrangement kar deta hoon timely medicines and care ke liye"
"No need doctor I'll take care of him aap mujhe detailing de dena" Daya silently declared shocking Rey while doctor confusingly asked his identity, "Main Abhijeet ka personal care taker"
"Oh great fine I'll provide you full detail but remember don't skip single doze of medicines and drips" Doctor said when Daya nodded in affirmative.
After sometime, Rey barged and shouting and angered on the staffs for being so careless and especially cook, she was at the edge of knife of Rey's volcano. "How could this happen, haan, tum log jaante ho Abhi ko peanut se allergy hai toh kaise usne peanut khaya" Rey stormed with rage on cook while she shivered in fear.
"Rey sir sachchi, maine peanut nhi diya I swear, maine wahi daily routine food cook kiya hai, mujhe sachchi nhi pata kaise khaane mein peanut mixture aaya" cook clarified in fear proving her innocence.
"Woh toh Abhi ke hosh aane pe pata chal hi jaayega but tab tak, stay away from kitchen jab tak tumhari innocence prove nhi ho jaati you'll be house arrest in out- house" Rey announced her punishment in extreme rage and burning anger.
The cook cried and kept clarifying her innocence while Anuj respectfully escorted her to out house. Daya shocked and terrified witnessing this harsh and evil side of Rey. Rey then, carefully caressing Abhijeet's hair while gripping his hand, lovingly staring at his little soul. The trance of memory hit his mind where fifteen years old Abhijeet running for his life to save himself from his elder brother's flying slipper. 'Arey Rey bhaiya sorry, promise aainda se dhyaan rakhunga' the younger one bragged while escaping from Rey.
'tu idhar aa, aaj tujhe koi nhi bachcha paayega mujhse, kuch bhi kar lo sudhrega nhi yeh ladka' Rey blocked his way grumpily in anger. Abhijeet then dragged a lady in front of him as a shield while trying to escape. 'Kamla tai ko jaane de Abhi aaj tujhe mujhse koi nhi bacha paayega'
'oh ho! Kya ho gya Rey, kyun peeche pade ho aaj Abhijeet ke' Kamla tai asked as referee between two brothers.
'aaj yeh mere haathon marega tai, jara bhi dhyaan nhi rakhta khud ka, peanut se allergy hai isse, phir bhi puri chutney kha gya aur ab teen din se bhukhaar se utha hai, aur abhi gang se fight karne chala gya' Rey narrated in frustration.
Kamla Tai proceed on her way sighing deeply in disappointment avoiding the meddling of them, leaving them both chasing each other as whole colony or mohalla very well aware of protectiveness and strictness of Rey towards Abhijeet.
Rey tightened his grip over Abhijeet's hand having tears flowing continuously. "Kyun karte ho aisa tum, haan, mujhe shataane mein mazaa aata hai kya" Rey uttered in pain. "Please wake up my jaan please khud ka khayal Rakha karo, meri jaan chali jaati hai tumhe takleef mein dekhkar" Rey bit his lips as got chocked and couldn't speak further and burst out in tears.
Meanwhile, Daya shuddered in guilt watching the strong and tough Rey weaken for his brother. He rushed to his room clutching the bedsheet in guilt and wrongdoing. His heart paced up screaming the attempt to murder. His whole body was shaking and finally revealed pressing his ears. "No, I didn't mean to, main… main bas usse sabak sikhana chahta tha, mera usse maarne ka koi iraada nhi tha" he mumbled in fear and guilt. The moments of them flashing in front of him, he realised that Abhijeet never tried to molest him or forced him and always have a decent respect for him even he hated him to the extent and though he had the right to do sex with him or use his body whatever and however he wanted being his master. At the end of all these, he again stuck to that one question, "Kyun kar rhe ho Abhijeet tum mere saath aisa? Kyun mujhe apna gulaam banaya? Kyun meri saari zindgi, saari kismat khareedli?"
Rey timely checked upon unconscious Abhijeet and cared for him. For whole day, his fever was not lowering, Rey timely replacing the ice water cloth for lowering the temperature. He sighed deeply composing his emotions and grabbed his hand waiting for his consciousness. He felt asleep in same sitting posture when felt a pat on shoulder. Jerking up he found Daya stood beside him with the medicine tray.
"Rey bhaiya, aap rest karlo I'll take care now" Daya requested him to rest. Rey nodded and left leaving Abhijeet in the care of Daya.
