Chapter 2: Prologue Pt 2: Aunt Cass, Kash & Tray
Later, Tadashi parked his scooter in front of a local café, the Lucky Cat Café. "Thanks for the lift, Tadashi." Hiro said. "Yeah, we thought we were gonna end up pasted." Genji said. "Or arrested if it wasn't for that crystal of yours." Kaiya said. "Well, good thing you guys appreciate it. Because if it was up to me, I would've left you 3 to get arrested." Tadashi said as they got off the scooter. "Oh, I wouldn't worry about it. Besides, I doubt Aunt Cass even knows where we even were." Hiro said.
But as they walked in, they were greeted by the glares of a Japanese woman and 2 little robots. This was Tadashi and the triplets' aunt, Cass Hamada, and her 2 robot helpers, Tray and Kash. Tray was a small, blue-and-silver, one-wheel robot who delivers the trays of food to the custormers. Kash is a small, red, cash register robot with frog legs and an extendable optic. "Hi, Aunt Cass." The triplets greeted. "Are you guys okay? Tell me you're okay." Cass said, bringing her triplet nephews and niece into a big hug. "We're fine." Hiro said. "We're okay." Genji added. "We're alright." Kaiya added. "Oh good." Cass said with a sigh. But then she pulled them by the ears. "Then what were you 3 knuckleheads thinking?!" She exclaimed. The triplets groaned in pain before they got loose from her grip. "She knows." Tadashi said with an 'I-told-you-so' tone. "For 10 years, I've done the best I could to raise you. Have I been perfect? No! Do I know anything about children? No! Should I have picked up a book about parenting?! Probably!" Cass exclaimed, until she lost her train of thought. "Where was I going with this? I had a point. Tray, Kash, do you 2 know where I was going with this?" She asked. Tray and Kash just shrugged, not knowing either.
"We're really sorry." Genji said. "We love you, Aunt Cass." Hiro said. "So very much." Kaiya said. "Well, I love you too!" Cass exclaimed. "You have any idea what happened after I went out to look for you 3?" Tadashi asked. "Mama Cass had to close the café early because of you 3 felons." Tray said. "And on beat poetry night! I never miss beat poetry night!" Kash exclaimed. Cass took out one of the donuts and started eating it stressfully. "Stress eating. Because of you. Come on, guys." Cass said as she walked to the living room. "Coming, Mama Cass." Kash said as he and Tray followed her. "Come on, Mochi. Mama's upset with the triplets again." Tray said. Mochi, the family cat meowed and leapt down from where he was napping and followed them. "This is really good!" Cass exclaimed as she continued eating.
Later, Tadashi and the triplets walked back up to their shared bedroom. Hiro immediately hopped onto his computer and started typing something as Genji and Kaiya watched. "You 3 better make this up to Aunt Cass before she eats everything in the café." Tadashi said, tossing his jacket onto his bed. "For sure." Hiro said. "Of course." Genji agreed. "We'll find a way." Kaiya added. "And I hope you learned your lessons, boneheads." Tadashi said. "Absolutely." Hiro said. "Totally." Genji agreed. "Lesson completely learned." Kaiya added. Tadashi looked at their expressions and realized. "You 3 are going bot fighting, aren't you?" He asked. "There's a fight across town. If we book, we can still make it." Hiro said. "We'll make more dough to help Aunt Cass take this café all across town." Genji said. "And pay her back for taking care of us for all these years." Kaiya said. But as they grabbed their bots and prepared to head out, Tadashi grabbed their hoods and pulled them back. "When are you 3 gonna start doing something with those big brains of yours?" He asked, poking their foreheads. "What? Go to college like you? So people can tell us stuff we already know?" Hiro asked. "Yeah, what's the point of going to school if we already know stuff that they can teach us?" Genji said. "Yeah, college is a no-go for me either. Need I remind you of the 'Makumura brawl incident?' Definitely don't want to repeat that." Kaiya said.
Tadashi couldn't believe what he was hearing from his own siblings. "Unbelievable. Oh, what would Mom and Dad say?" He asked. "We don't know. They're gone. They died when we were 3, remember?" Hiro asked. "Yeah. That experiment they were working on backfired on them and they were obliterated into oblivion." Genji said. "We barely even knew them as we were growing up. Not like you." Kaiya said in sadness as she and her brothers headed their way to the staircase. Tadashi watched them with sympathy. Ever since their parents, Toshiro and Margaret, disappeared and were declared dead, his triplet siblings have picked up on some bad hobbies. Especially after they graduated high school. There was only one solution he could think of that could probably set them on the right path. "Hey!" He called. The triplets turned around as he tossed them their helmets. "I'll take you." He said. "Really?" Hiro asked. "You're taking us?" Genji asked. "You're not gonna try and stop us?" Kaiya asked. "I can't stop you guys from going, but I'm not gonna let you 3 go on your own." Tadashi said as he got his helmet. "Sweet." Hiro said as he headed downstairs. "Thanks, big bro." Genji said, following Hiro. "You're the best." Kaiya said, hugging Tadashi before following her brothers. Tadashi smirked as he followed.
Well, how'd that go for you readers? When Tadashi and the triplets return to their home, they're greeted by their Aunt Cass, owner of the Lucky Cat Café, and her 2 worker bots, Tray and Kash. And boy, they were not happy with the triplets. So, while Aunt Cass was stress eating, the triplets went up to their shared room and booked another Bot Fight. Seeing no other choice to stop them, Tadashi decided to take them. But what was he really planning? Was he really going to take his siblings to the Bot Fight? Leave a review if you want.
