I do not own SpyXFamily okay? This is a fun idea I had come up with one day. I know it's early for Valentines but at the same time, my work and school schedules would be packed around then. In my industry, just forget anything until May. Anyway, enough of this A/N, on with the fic!
Anya lay on the floor in Becky's media room in her own personal playhouse watching the television. Becky had invited Anya for a sleepover after the exams. There was a large bowl of popcorn and peanuts as they watched television. Anya stared off, not really paying attention. Becky wanted to watch the latest episode of Berlint in Love, while Anya didn't want to miss the new Spy Wars episode, which it turned out that aired after Berlint in Love. Becky could not help herself to imaging the main characters were her and Loid. It was the Valentine's Day special, and she smiled as she looked over at Anya.
"Yes?" Anya asked with a mouthful of peanuts while Becky giggled.
"That episode give you any ideas?" Becky laughed.
"No." Anya said, confused to what Becky was meaning.
"Come on! Valentine's day is next week and it's the perfect chance to get Damian closer to you! It's obvious you have a thing for him, and he has a thing for you!" Becky said, filled with giddiness that she could make a romance happen in real life with her best friend. Why she has a crush on Damian I would never know, he's such a snob... but one can't help love... She thought.
Anya looked up and paused. Her attempts to befriend Damian had not gone very well lately. In the show the boy took the girl to meet his parents. Papa is trying to meet Damian's dad. Anya thought as Becky giggled. "I uhhhhhh..." She said not thinking of what to say to Becky. I can't tell her the truth of why I want to get near him...
"Oh don't worry, I won't tell anyone till he's sweeping you off your feet and taking you to one of the most exquisite and romantic restaurants in Berlint, like in the show." She got up and took Anya's hand. "We just need to figure out a way to charm him alone."
"Alone?" Anya asked.
"I've seen him. If he's away from those uggo friends of his, he might be more honest with himself." Becky thought as she got up and smiled. "Now we can't do much about your outfit since your best place to win his heart is school..." She then looked at Anya's hair, touching her cones in her hair. "That's different but it's uniquely you... don't want to take away that Anya charm..."
"But Bondman..." Anya began as she looked back at the TV.
"Oh we can catch a rerun of that." Becky sighed. "I don't even get why you like that show. I have to make you look like a dream for Damian. Maybe some nice braids, your short hair can make things tricky..."
Meanwhile, Yor and Loid sat alone at home, looking after Bond. Loid was reading the newspaper and Yor had taken to knitting a scarf, something she hadn't done a lot of, but the needles reminded her of her work as an assassin and gave her something to focus on. The house was quiet without Anya. While they were both happy that Anya had made such good friends with Becky that the girls often had sleepovers at each other's houses, the house was still not the same without her.
"So, how was work?" Loid asked Yor as she blushed, placing her knitting down.
"Oh, it was fine..." She said simply. She didn't want to bother Loid with the fact that one of her coworkers, Camilla was bragging about the romantic night out she had planned with her fiancée and how kept asking her what Loid was going to do for her. Yor replied honestly that she did not know, and this caused Camilla to say that Loid was being unfaithful to her and that all his "extra work" was him really having an affair. Yor knew this was not true, but despite being a cold-hearted assassin, she was sensitive to when her coworkers at city hall made fun of her. One of her deepest worries what that Loid would somehow find her uninteresting and leave her.
"Yor?" Loid asked as if reading her mind.
"Oh nothing…." Yor looked away.
"It's something." Loid pressed. Even if I am not a real psychiatrist, as a spy I have learned to read people well. And as much time as I have spent with Yor, I have learned her personality as well. It's likely something a coworker said. Possibly Camilla. She tends to make Yor the victim of her bullying….
"Well…." Yor began. "Camilla asked what we were doing for Valentine's Day. I said I didn't know, and she started making fun of me and saying you were cheating on me." She started to sob.
That's right, Valentine's Day. I will need to find a sitter for Anya, I'd rather it be Franky than Yuri. God knows the trouble that would cause. Both are honestly bad ideas…. Loid thought shuddering at the ideas that flowed through his mind. Yuri would likely try to get Anya to tell him everything about him or search through the house as a member of the secret police. But Franky would likely let Anya stay up far too late and eat junk food. But Valentine's Day is important if we are to give the appearance of a married couple madly in love. Operation Strix depends on it. "I have a surprise for you then." Loid reassured her. "One of the best restaurants in Berlint and then a show."
"Oh! Loid!" Yor blushed.
"All I want you to do is look pretty and enjoy." Loid smiled. "And I will have Franky babysit Anya." Yor looked like she was about to suggest Yuri. "Yuri is a handsome man who works at the foreign affairs ministry long hours. Franky is not likely to be busy on Valentine's Day." He will yell at me for that, but no one can deny it's not true. "And don't let that Camilla bother you. You're way better than she is." It's imperative that Yor remain confident
"Thank you so much Loid." Yor smiled. "I cannot wait for Anya to come home. It's nice she has friends in Becky, but I miss her."
"BORF!" Bond barked from his dog bed.
"Bond misses her too." Loid said. I just wish she made friends with Damian than Becky. Having connections to the Blackbells is useful but not what the mission is about. Loid thought.
"And ta-da! I'm magical." Becky said as she stood proudly, and Anya looked in the mirror at Becky's handiwork. Anya stared with her mouth agape. "Yeah, I figured a princess braid and a little bit of eye shadow and mascara with some lip gloss would make you so pretty Damian can't help himself."
"So cool…." Anya said.
"Hopefully your parents don't mind but I know Damian will love it. At least if he can man up and tell his uggo cronies to take a hike." Becky said. "Now there is one more thing we have to do if we want to get you to have Damian as your boyfriend."
"Boyfriend!" Anya said determined. "What's that."
"You have to make him some chocolates and get him in a corner. That's one thing that happened in Berlint in Love and that show is perfect for romance advice."
"Okay." Anya said. "But I don't know how to, and Mama is a terrible cook."
"Well then, I'll have one of our chefs teach you and you will have them ready to go. That one time your mom made some cookies while we were at your house, they made me sick." Becky gripped her stomach at the memory. But my precious Loid can cook like a gourmand. I just love him so….
"Sounds good." Anya said saluting. She hadn't intended to have Damian be her boyfriend, but she needed to get close to him and when watching Berlint in Love, she did see that the man took the woman he was in love with to meet his parents. So, this would get the mission accomplished.
"Good. Now to the kitchen!" Becky said as she took Anya's hand and charged forth. As she stormed in the kitchen, she saw the cook chatting with her father.
"Becky, what are you doing here?" Mr. Blackbell asked sternly. "You know it's rather late."
"Yes, but Anya wants to confess her crush to Damian on Valentine's Day at school." Becky began as Anya grew pinker in the face. It sounded weird coming out of Becky's mouth. "I already made her look so pretty for it he can't say no but we need some chocolates."
"Well, you are quite the little beautician Becky, but one needs their beauty sleep." Mr. Blackbell said sternly, pushing the girls out of the kitchen. You can make the chocolates tomorrow. How about that? You still have a few days before Valentine's Day anyway."
"Fine Dad…." Becky sighed. "He's right. You will need your beauty sleep if we're going to pull this off."
"Yeah…." Anya yawned.
"Sleepy already." Mr. Blackbell laughed. "Sweet dreams girls and we will make the chocolates in the morning." He took a sip of his evening tea and looked over at the cook. "They may only be 6 years old but it's just so cute childhood crushes."
"Yes sir." The cook bowed. "I will make sure to help them with making the chocolates as best I can."
"See that you do." Mr. Blackbell got up and headed out. "Good night."
"Same to you sir." The cook bowed, taking stock of what they had and what he may need to get so they could make the best Valentine's chocolates around. So young, so full of life and energy. The cook smiled as he took stock and wrote down just what they would need. "I will replenish some supplies early tomorrow morning." He yawned and headed to the servant's quarters.
So how was that? Good? Bad? Short? Long? Let me know in a review. I intend for this to be just a few short chapters in a fun little fic. Nothing more. That's how I have been getting ideas for a lot of SpyxFamily fics anyway. So anyway, remember to read, well you just did, and to review. Ciao for now,
