A/N: Before we start this story, I have two things to announce: firstly, this story has a co-author. Secondly, this story takes place during that brief window of time where Oscar was in the season two group. Anyhow, let's start.
One day, Olympia and Otis came back from a case. It was a simple case. However, they were stopped by Oona on their way out of the tube lobby. "Howdy-doo?" she said.
"Good, thank you for asking," said Olympia.
"I've been worse," said Otis.
"Oh, me? I'm fine. In fact I'm so fine, I just built a new gadget. A fully new one, as well. Follow me to the lab, so that I might show it to you." and with that statement, Oona left. Otis and Olympia looked at each other, shrugged their shoulders, and ran off.
The lab looked about how one would expect it to look, all white and green. However, there was one highly noticeable addition, and one noticeable absence. The absence was, of course, Oscar, who had founded the labs all those years ago. The addition was that of a spinning, lit-up table, with something one it. As they leaned in for a closer look, Oona said "Ta-da!"
Quite clearly bemused by what was in front of her, Olympia asked "What is it?"
"Well, it's my hiss-adee-gobbler, obviously!" Oona replied, rolling her eyes.
"And what's a hiss-adee-gobbler?" asked Otis.
"It destroys Toast!" said Oona.
"IT DESTROYS TOAST?!" said Olympia and Otis in unison.
"I would think the name would make that obvious, but yes," said Oona, "I mean, it's got a few bugs that need working out, but that's what it's meant to do."
Sometimes, things happen at the worst times. You know, you're just starting something up, and then you get told that it's time to wrap up, or you spend ten of the allotted fifteen minutes on one-fifteenth of a quiz. Or sometimes, just occasionally, the universe tries to rectify an absence on top of a malfunctioning, work-in-progress, gadget. Anyways, Oscar chose this time to pop up, and knocked over the hiss-adee-gobbler. Thus, something very different than the destruction of toast to occurred. All Oscar was able to get out was "Hey," before they were all sent back in time.
